Cassie had conflicted feelings about how far away everything was. How far away everything felt. Everyone else towered over her, getting places faster with their longer reaches, never having to go the extra mile. 'How small the world must feel' she often thought, and that was where she loved how everything was so far away to her. Every moment lasted longer, everything moved more slowly for her to grasp and comprehend. Everything became a challenge, keeping her at her wits. Sharper, readier. She needed to work twice as hard at everything to be equal to everyone, but that was where her Pokemon loved her, and where she loved herself. Call her a workaholic if you must, but that was the truth.

Slinging her messenger back over her shoulder and on her back, Cassie observed the cave opening before her; Glittering Cave. If there was one thing she was attracted to, it was beautiful things. And what was more beautiful than a cave full of glittering stones? Her two trusted Pokemon stood beside her, Ryu the Lucario and Nine the Ninetales. Meanwhile, her Swanna, Garchomp, Roserade, and Froslass remained in their Pokeballs. 'I have a bad feeling.' Ryu mused, his arms crossed. Nine gazed long and hard at the entrance, and then looked back at his trainer. 'I must agree. Something isn't... Quite right.'

Cassie only furrowed her brows, hands on her hips. "I can't put this off. If we leave, we won't be able to come back for another six months." Her Pokemon knew she had a valid point, but there was still that lingering sense of terror. Danger. And perhaps that was what attracted her to the cave so much at that moment. Her Pokemon knew this well, and her focus will never be at the right place if they forced her away. 'I suppose if we hustle, it would be alright. In and out to observe the crystals.' Nine finally gave in, and that was all she needed to hear. Flashing a grin at him, she took a step inside the cave, unaware of the Pokemon hoard moving into the vicinity.

niko, already well into his journy was already passing near the glittering cave with his trusted pokemon eevee curled up around his neck, he looked through the pokenav to see if a rare cubone was near by.
'Mmm.. where are you..?'
he said to himself petting eevee on his soft head.

Soon niko had came up on a fork in the road and decided to take the detour through glittering cave since it was the quickest way to the next town over. Niko didn't realise that a storm was heading his way. He walked up the side of the cave slowly, he was taking in the cool air.

'mmm.. i hope it snows soon'
Niko always did love fall and winter season. ever since he was little. During his childhood he was mostly left alone because of his father being a major researcher he'd constantly be away on business. He doesn't have much memory of his mother but the small ones brung a small sense of joy to his heart, yet he still cant seem to trust women because of it. Niko's been together with his Eevee and his 2 trusted pokemon Primape that was shiny and Steelix.

As niko had moved around the cave, the clouds had light up in a redish lightning, A loud crash had came from the ash gray to black gradient clouds and it had poured extremely hard. Niko rushed into an opening of the glittering cave, his cloths and everything had already been soaked.

Thunder clashed and lightning struck, yet the sounds were merely dull rings inside the depth of Glittering Cave. Cassie sat at a dead end, holding a keystone between her thumb and forefinger. The stone was not yet part of an accessory, they way she'd seen other ace trainers wield them. Of course, she'd just found it not too long ago. Yes, beautiful stones weren't the only kind of stones she sought in Glittering Cave. For what was the use of a keystone without a mega stone for her Pokemon to hold?

She checked her dowsing machine. Again and again. Still nothing, not even a beep or a single flash. 'Can dowsing machines even detect mega stones?' She wondered. Nine laid curled around Cassie, watching the ceiling intently with Ryu standing guard in front of them from who knows what. 'Tense. Both of you.' Their trainer thought miserably, losing her will to explore the cave altogether. Just as she was about to call off their exploration, Ryu's appendages began to vibrate, and he closed his eyes to concentrate on the energy he was receiving. Cassie perked up instantly, her eyes fixed on her Lucario as his appendages rose to a horizontal position. "What is it? Are you detecting a mega stone?"

Nine remained cemented to his spot and a moment later, Ryu opened his eyes, turning and gazing at his trainer with a horrified expression, 'Rhydon. A whole hoard of Rhydon headed this way to avoid the storm. They'll be crossing above us any moment now-'

'The ceiling won't hold, we must leave.' Nine snapped, jumping to his feet and looking sternly at Ryu. 'Lead us out now.'

"No, wait!" Cassie also shot to her feet, brows furrowed as her stomach, her hopes, they all dropped to the floor. "There's a mega stone here, I can feel it. Please, a moment longer. Please." Her eyes plead to them, and then she caught sight of another trainer entering, his body drenched from head to toe. Suddenly her thoughts weren't on the mega stone anymore. "...More people are going to come in this cave because of the storm, and they won't be able to tell apart the Rhydon charge from the rain." She considered leaving right away before Ryu could catch up with her train of thought-

'We have to warn them.' He looked at her sternly, and Cassie relented. She quickly ran over to the drenched trainer. "Hey!"

niko looked at the girl and his face light up a bit slightly blushed from the cold water and he quickly calms himself and stood up, his eevee jumped down off his shoulder and shook himself dry.
"jeez niko be quicker next time."
eevee had glared up at him.
niko quickly gave eevee the eye, he then looked back at the strange girl. he studied her body, her heavy breathing and her alert face. he glanced down at hand and saw an item in her hand and stared at it quickly.

"what is wrong..?"
he thought to himself. maybe she was trying to lure him away. niko became cautious and carefully replied back.
"hello.."
He looked over at her lucario and he was just as alert as the trainer. Niko became even more cautious around them. Since he had heard the lure from the old man from the village before he didn't hesitate to think other trainers are also in here looking for the rare Pokemon just as him.
"I'm sorry, but are you okay? Your breathing is pretty heavy and hard.." he said.

Her expression was steel hard, and so were Ryu's. She didn't mind, or perhaps she just didn't care, when Niko eyed her from head to toe, but when his eyes settled on the keystone clutched in her hand, she quickly withdrew. Clearing her throat, she slipped the said stone into her bag's key items pocket, and gazed sternly at Niko. "We're all in grave danger. Us, and everyone in this cave. There's going to be a Rhydon hoard rampaging right above us, and the cave structures won't hold."

Just as she said this, Nine came blazing through, his fur standing on end from distress. 'They're coming, we're leaving now.' His snout was curled into a snarl, fangs evident, and Cassie knew just how on edge he was. Placing a hand on her Ninetales' head, she caressed him soothingly, unwinding his snarl. Cassie turned back to Niko and said seriously, "This place is going down, and I do not plan to be in it." 'It was a bad idea, coming here. Such a bad idea.'

'We need to warn everyone inside before the Rhydon pass.' Ryu said to Niko urgently, but Cassie touched the Pokeballs on her waist instead, soothing the rest of her Pokemon team inside their Pokeballs. The rumble of thunder rolled outside, but something else echoed after it. Footsteps, massive and urgent. Almost like a charge. The ground began to rumble beneath their feet, the stalactites trembling above them. Cassie sucked in a breath. "They're here..."

The Rhydon hit like a massive earthquake, their stampede breaking apart the rocks on the ceiling. Cassie clutched onto Nine and Ryu reacted quickly, tackling both Niko and Cassie out of the way as the ceiling crumbled above them, blocking the opening and their only way out.

Sealing them in,

Sai felt the warm fur of the Lucario brush him, the Pokemon in-gulping him in a strong hug. He groaned out of pain as he hit the cold hard floor of the cave and felt the violent vibrations of the rhydon running past him.

"A-Ahh... !" he said.
leaned back up watching as the last rhydon ran by sealing us into the cave. He slightly pushed Ryu off him and walked over to the mountain of stone that covered the entrance. He sighed softly and looked over at Eevee.
"Gin, get ready..."
Sai had swung his bag around and opened it, he looked over at the girl and her Pokemon.
"Thanks...for the help, I got it from here."
Sai looked at the girl, her face calm, He credited her for how she kept her Pokemon calm under these conditions. Sai took out two items from his bag: one poke ball, and one flashlight.
"Come on out Infernape! I need your help buddy."
Sai chucked his poke ball and out came his infernape. The sudden flash from the ball brightened the room for a moment, then it dimmed out. The light from the fire-fighting pokemon's head lit up the room for them to be able to relax, think logically, and look around. Sai had sneezed, forgetting that his cloths were still very damp from the storm outside. His face light pink and he felt slightly warm. Infernape looked over at the girl and her pokemon, and turned away walking towards Sai, and wrapped its body around him to keep him warm.
"Here master, use my flame to warm yourself up." said infernape
Sai nodded and smiled up at her.
"Thank you."
He then turned his attention to Cassie and spoke.
"Who are you, and why were you in here..?" he stopped then began again.
"Thank you for saving me back there, without your knowledge I'm sure that I'd have ran straight into the Rhydon, but.. even being trapped in this cave, I was not planning on leaving or looking for an escape."
The quiet sound of the cave drowned out the ears of both trainers. The falling of pebbles from the still fresh falling of the rocks, the sounds of water dropping from the stalactites slowly one by one and the screeches of far away Zubats. Sai started feeling a faint dizziness, unsure of if he might have caught a cold from being in his cloths for so long. He began to walk towards the girl and her pokemon, holding the 121 pound ape on his back and the Eevee on top of his head.

Jacob sighed as he listened to his music. He had been on vacation, spending his time away from his studies in Kalos. In particular, he had traveled to the region to explore a topic for his thesis project. It had to be related to pokemon, or inter-pokemon power structures. In Kalos, he hoped to find some examples of groups of pokemon working together. This was especially interesting in rock or ground-type pokemon communities, which were often considered, he felt, to be rare.

Jacob himself had always been interested in Onix, and the way in which they interacted with other pokemon. While he had never captured one himself, Onix always seemed to be on their own, but they did manage to breed somehow, so there must have been some sort of societal structure that Jacob was missing. He listened to music, his headphones completely covering his ears, as he made his way deeper into the Glittering Cave.

He had been exploring the cave for less than an hour when the ground began to shake beneath him. Jacob ignored it, thinking he was just imagining things. He continued walking further into the cave, but again the ground shook. Jacob removed his headphones to investigate what was happening. Almost immediately he heard a loud crash, what sounded like rocks clacking against each other. He didn’t know what had caused the crash, but it could easily have been an Onix! After all, they were rather large; it could even have been two Onix battling. That would be perfect for his report! Jacob turned around and began to run back towards the entrance.

As he turned the corner, he could see the entrance, or rather, where it used to be. A pile of rocks and dirt had completely blocked the entrance, covering the only opening to the cave entirely. Astonishment and worry immediately took hold, and it took him a few seconds to realize the other figures in front of the cave. Although it was pretty dark, Jacob could make out the general shapes; there were two trainers, one standing with an Infernape on his back, and an Evee on his head, and another across from him, with two of her own pokemon.

Jacob approached the people waving one hand in the air, trying to be friendly.

“Hey!” He shouted. “What happened? Is everyone okay?”

Cassie hit the ground, and she hit it hard. Her backside collided violently with the rock hard ground, and right before it was her head's turn, Nine's tails swept beneath her like a pillow. Slowly, her clutch loosened on him and her vision came into focus. She could feel Ryu's ragged breath on her, and how it slowly calmed her tense muscles. "Thank you, Ryu..." She reached out and tenderly caressed him behind his ear, causing him to let out a low purr-like growl and move off of her. Cassie sat up, her free hand slung over Nine as he pushed her up to a stand. She barely heard what Sai had to say, everything felt muted. Everything was too dark. But once Sai released an Infernape from its Pokeball, light returned to the cave, be it a faint one. For a moment, she wondered why he carried the fire ape on his back before she remembered how drenched he was.

Her eyes scanned the cave, starting from the rocks and dirt piled up at the entrance to the silhouette of another trainer, walking towards them. She had to squint, until he came close enough for her to be able to observe him fully. Her eyes were deep, penetrating, and she took in distinctive features off of Jacob to memorize, the way she did earlier to Sai. For a while, it felt like she'd gone deaf for a moment, until the haze in her ears cleared, and she could hear again. "...Fine. We're fine." She answered on a whim, figuring that he must've asked how they were doing. Rocks shifted violently above them, leaving the cave in a shudder and more debris to slide over the already sealed opening on the outside. Cassie walked towards the rock pile and pushed lightly, once again igniting a violent shudder. "It's too dangerous to move this from the inside... It'd cave in on us." Her brows knitted together in thought, and she glanced at her Lucario. "Ryu, what's the condition outside?"

The said Lucario came closer, and placed his paw on the newly formed rock wall. He closed his eyes and his appendages once again rose and vibrated. '...A whole pile up. We won't be able to move it at all from inside.' He announced to his trainer, Sai, and Jacob with his telepathy. Nine let out a soft exhale, and piped up with his telepathy for everyone to hear as well, 'Best we gather everyone else trapped inside before finding a way out.'

Cassie stepped back from the wall and hummed casually, as if they hadn't just been buried alive and trapped in what might be their tombs. Her gray eyes swept over Sai and Jacob, feeling slightly self-conscious with them towering over her. She straightened her back and cocked her hip, masking over her insecurity with the calm vibe that her Pokemon fed off of. "I agree with Nine. Wouldn't want to abandon anyone in here. Plus, the extra heads would come in handy, given that the storm is weakening the cave's infrastructure and water would start gushing in any moment." She stated all this lightly, as if drowning wasn't such a big deal. "So, no messing with this area especially." She gestured the sealed entrance.

"Oh, that reminds me." She snapped back around to the two boys, her confidence shining through. "I'm Cassie, and these are my Pokemon, Ryu and Nine."

Sai had studied the girl as she got up slowly, she had looked to be in a daze, her ninetails becoming like a small wall for her to hold on and keept her from tipping left to right. he noticed she didn't say anything to his two comments, but it was okay, as the light dimmed a small area of the way he kept his eyes close feeling the sudden moments in the caves until the new young trainer happened to pull up in the scene with a small cheered facial expression. He looked at the boy and replied effectly, "Yea.. We are fine--" .

sai couldn't finish his sentence, his hearing had gone low tone for second, his vision already being little, suddenly went black, he then quickly closed his eyes and dropped to his knees with infernape on his back. As if he wasn't able to carry the easy light ape anymore, he slowly dropped infernape, his body becoming a war zone of coughing. Sai had made a soft yell, a jolt of pain in his chest. "ahh.." he felt as if a pinsir was squeezing his chest. He had forgotten about his damp cloths and even with his infernape on his back keeping him warm, he still someone felt
cold and under the weather. "SAI! Sai! are you okay?!" Infernape retaliated quickly and cupped him in her arms and felt his forhead. Sai had slightly fainted. He ended up actually catching the cold like he had believed he did. "Im sorry.. I'm okay I'm okay." sai let his feet hang a bit and had slowly gotten out infernapes hold, caressing the pokemons shoulder to steady his postion before getting up.

Sai had heard what cassie hand said he turned both gazes to the new boy and cassie and had a small look of discomfort on his face, but he quickly changed it. "These are my friends, Gin and Fury, thank you by the way.." he thought to himself and looked down at his eevee and decided it be best if gin would stay in his ball for the time being calling him back in there and kisses the top of the ball lightly saying thank you to gin before placing his ball back around his belt.

Sai turned, feeling as if be can sense more trainers in the tunnel from
the suddle footsteps that vibrates the floor a few girls a few boys. he quickly became ache and groaned a bit for reasons of his body and the other for having to deal with new faces, he didn't par well in a group, but in circumstances like this it be best if he stayed together with the group but hell only talk if hes needed, other then that he'd keep all vitual information related to him his pokemon and his reasoning to the cave to himself. He forgot to also intoduce himself to the others, "my name is sai by the way."

Jacob stopped several feet away from the two figures. The light from the nearby Infernape was enough for Jacob to see them relatively clearly. A young man stood with the Infernape on his back, and an Eevee on his head. To his right, the young woman, who was just beginning to stand, was surrounded by a Ninetails and a Lucario. He nodded as the woman introduced herself before stepping back. He heard a voice in his head, something unlike anything he had ever experienced. The Lucario looked back at him, as if it was speaking to him, without saying a word. Then he heard another one, a different voice. What was going on? This must have been some sort of psychic power that these pokemon shared; it was incredible, especially considering they weren’t psychic type pokemon. Jacob had never seen anything like it; pokemon with actual telepathy!

He was still taking in this fact when the young man beside him dropped to the ground. He appeared to be in pain, but stood up relatively quickly, introducing himself. As he did, Jacob realized that he had not introduced himself either.

“I’m Jacob,” he said, before turning away from the cave entrance. “I was just down that ways a bit, and I didn’t see another way out. I didn’t explore extensively, though. It might be our best bet to try to find a way out in that direction. At the very least, we can get away from these shifting rocks.” Jacob wasn’t trying to hide the fact that all of this made him feel uneasy; the rocks, the magic pokemon, and the new, frankly odd people all made him uncomfortable. He had liked it better when it was just him and his music. But this was a crisis, and Jacob always liked to think of himself as reliable in a crisis. He turned completely around now, motioning towards the other two to follow him.

“I can see you’re both pokemon trainers?” He asked in a half statement. This is already going great, he thought to himself sarcastically.

“Hey, I think this is it Embertail”!

Curt stood outside the entrance to what seemed to be a massive cave, gazing into the seemingly endless black void, for a cave that was supposedly littered with crystals and (according to some superstitious locals) mystical treasures, the entrance failed to impress.

“Granted, Curt thought, if it was obvious that there was treasure inside someone would have taken it by now”. Honestly, Curt was just glad that “treasure map” he bought from the old women didn’t turn out to be a total bust. He brushed his dark blond hair out of his eyes and double checked the map, making sure this was an entrance to the caverns and not some dead-end cave with an angry Kangaskhan inside. He got the map from an old women in Ambrette Town, she claimed it lead to a hidden path into The Glittering Caves and that would lead to some mystical treasure, supposedly kept guarded by a powerful Pokemon for centuries which was why, according to her, she never went after it.

He realized shortly after he bought the map that the women was probably making the whole thing up to get a quick buck off him, this theory was enforced when he went back to find the old women fifteen minutes after he bought the map, only for her to have high-tailed it to who knows where. Truthfully, he just decided to follow the map on a slim hope that he didn’t get cheated, even though he was almost certain that was the case. But, lo and behold, the map actually lead them to somewhere! He was beginning to wonder how it remained undiscovered for so long. Sure the path to get here was tricky, but hikers traveled these mountains all the time, certainly someone would have discovered by now?

A tug on his shirt brought him back to reality, he looked down to see closest friend, Embertail, looking at him with that goofy smile of his and an inquiring look. Embertail was a Charmander, and he had been with Curt for as long as either of them could remember. Whenever Curt was feeling down or upset, Embertail was always there to cheer him up with his goof-ball attitude.

“Don’t worry Ember”, Curt told the Charmander, “this is it, I’m positive, we’re not gonna have to right another pissed off Rhyhorn….well, we might, but this time it shouldn’t lead to a dead end…..I hope”. In response to Curt’s uncertainty, Embertail took a few steps into the cave and let out a roar, like he was asking if checking to see if anything was there. After his echo stopped, he turned back to Curt and beckoned him forward with a wave of his arm and a smile, like he was saying everything was clear and not to worry. Curt returned the smile, but even his buddy’s assurance didn’t do much to perk up his mood. Honestly, he never thought himself the kind of guy to get into crazy and dangerous scenarios like this.

Up until a few months ago, Curt wasn’t really a serious Pokemon trainer, for years the extent of his “experience” as a trainer (if he could even be called that) was battling his neighbors and passing trainers in his neighborhood in Cherrygroove. It wasn’t until a sudden lack of direction in his life that he ended up on the road, going on a quest to collect all 8 badges in the Kanto region and attempt to make a name for himself as a trainer. But those plans had to be put on hold, he received word that his family was having financial troubles. He decided to head home and help them, he was able to help them keep the house, but there wasn’t much he could do to get them out of the red. Until he ended up in Kalos and ran into that old women.

Curt was beginning to consider the whole thing a waste of time and just turning around, until once again, he had to be brought back to reality, this time by a few drops of rain. Curt looked up at the cloudy sky, promising him these drops were only the tip of the iceberg, it was like nature itself was mocking him by stripping away his options. No, he couldn’t turn back now, especially considering how well water and Charmanders mixed, besides, he was sure the cave was at least worth checking out.. Mustering his courage, he followed Embertail into The Glittering Caverns and, for the first time since he started looking for this “treasure”, honestly believed that there might be something worth-while hidden in those caverns...until they were almost killed by a cave in.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They were barely a few minutes into the cave when they heard the rumbling. At first, they assumed it was just the rain picking up or a horde of Pokemon moving about and moved on. Then, moments later, the entire cave started shaking and before they knew it, heavy boulders started falling down all around them. After a few adrenaline filled moments of sprinting and dodging falling rocks, they found themselves much deeper into the caves, with their only way out completely sealed off. Curt checked the collapse rubble to see if there was any chance of digging themselves out, was while Embertail was checking the backpack to see if they dropped anything while fleeing for their lives. While Curt was certainly a bit winded, the sprint for his life hardly seemed to phase Embertail, even almost getting crushed didn’t seem to damper his spirits much. But then again, if there were two things Embertail was good at, it was running and making light of a bad situation.

Embertail finished with the backpack and gave him another thumbs up, indicating they still had everything. Curt nodded at him and returned his attention to the pile of stone that trapped them in there. It wouldn’t budge, and he didn’t want to risk another cave in by having Whips or Flare try to move the rocks, and forget trying to use Lockjaw, he would start freaking out the moment Curt let him out of his ball. No, there was no way they were getting out the way they came in, and he had no idea how deep the caves went, for all he knew, that WAS their only was out. Even if there was a way out, who knew what dangers lied further in the caverns.

The full weight of their situation was beginning to hit Curt and he was being to get angry. Angry at the old women for selling him that stupid map, angry at the caverns for being so fragile, angry at whatever caused the cave-in, and anger at himself for going along with such a stupid idea, just because he didn’t want to believe he got cheated. He pounded a side of the cavern, trying to let out some steam.

“Great, this is just freaking fantastic! Just went it seems like we’re getting a break, life decides to take that break AND SHOVE IT UP OUR--”, Curt’s screams of fury were cut short when the caverns gave yet another rumble, as though it was threating to try and kill them again if he raised his voice one more time. Defeated, he collapsed on the ground with a sigh and buried his head into his hands. How could this have happened? It wasn’t supposed to get this bad, just a quick pop in, see if there was anything that might be worth-wild, and then leave when the rain stop, maybe come back with some more equipment if they though there was something in the caverns worth taking. Instead they were….well…Curt was just happy that the section of the cave they were trapped in was as wide as it was, or else Embertail would really be freaking out. Speaking of Embertail, the little guy had started poking Curt on the head, thinking that would somehow give Curt the motivation to keep moving. And somehow it did, Curt knew he couldn’t just sit there and do nothing, no, they had to keep moving

“Welp Ember, we’re not getting out the way we came”, Curt said while removing his face from his hands and picking himself up, “so I guess there’s only one option left, huh?” He felt his stomach drop as he the words left his mouth and he even thought he heard his partner gulp, but when he looked at The Flame Pokemon any hints of fear or apprehension he might have had were quickly replaced in place of his typical grin. Deciding that if his friend was tough enough to try and smother his fear, he should to. Curt returned the smile and the two began traveling deeper into The Glittering Caverns.

(OOC: Hey guy's, room for one more? Holy crap, I am sorry about this wall of text, but I felt like I had a bit of catching up to do with the rest of you guy's and, in all honesty, I got carried away. I promise my posts will be MUCH shorter from here on out if you guy's want me to stay. It's been a while since I RP'd, so I apologize in advance for any blunders I make).

( OOC: there is always room in this Rp my friend you can join into the circle or meet us along in the cave after Penn replies. As for your wall of text, No you can write as much as you see fit to the scene my friend we all love to read it doesn't have to be short haha. that was a great read.)

(Welcome to the roleplay, Curtkid! There's definitely lots of room left for other people to join in, though I'll probably start limiting joins when the roleplayers exceed six. And as Niko said, don't worry, you'll never get in trouble for posting long walls of text XD)

Her calm demeanor was like a barrier. It cut her off, her emotions especially, from everything. Isolated her. Kept her head in place and her mind centered. Her own little bubble. Unbeknownst to her, everyone who happened to be trapped in that cave had their own little bubbles. Their own personal shroud of secrets and insecurities no one but their Pokemon were allowed in. Thus, even as Sai crumpled to the ground in pain, she remained still. Like a calm lake undisturbed by the chaos happening around it. This trait fed her Pokemon, and at the same time, scared them. 'Because it's abnormal.' She thought. 'Because not everyone selectively shares their empathies.' And this small insecurity, like one of many insecurities she possessed, was thrown out. Out of her head and heart. There was no space for clutter.

She waited until Sai gained enough strength to introduce himself and his Pokemon before moving her attention to the other man, who seemed fascinated by Ryu and Nine's telepathy, and who introduced himself as Jacob.

And before she knew it, he'd taken charge of the situation. 'A leader.' Her mind concluded, and she hummed in agreement. Ryu and Nine were all too familiar of their trainer's constant discussion with herself. She pushed on anyway, following behind Jacob.

"Ace trainer." She quipped at Jacob's question. Though she never graduated from any elite ace trainer academy, her skills and experience were enough to classify her as one. She had eighteen badges; two from Kalos, all eight from Unova, and all eight from Sinnoh along with its champion title (though she refused it), and enough pressure from her dictating, high expectations parents to keep her calm in any situation. "What about you? You don't seem to have any Pokemon with you."

At the same time, she carefully pulled out her keystone once again, watching it. Her fellow ace trainers had told her that keystones tend to glow around the presence of mega stones, but she thought they'd been fibbing. However, now it didn't seem so preposterous anymore. Slipping the keystone into a notch on her right glove where she could keep an eye on it, Cassie refocused herself to the prioritized task at hand; getting out. She refocused her attention on Jacob for a while before halting her walk, Nine and Ryu so in sync with her that they somehow saw it coming even before she decided to stop. Her eyes were glued on Sai's drenched figure. "Sai, stop." 'You'll slow us down, going like that.'

Perhaps it was a heads up, a kind only Cassie would give, because she didn't wait for him to. Right away, she looked at Nine. "Use Will-O-Wisp on him."

The Ninetales cocked a brow questioningly at her, but soon caught up with her thoughts. He turned back to Sai and produced several balls of fire, and then willed them to move towards Sai, his tails moving about as if he was conducting the wisps with them. "Make sure he's not well done." Cassie remarked teasingly. The red wisps revolved around Sai carefully, but it should effectively dry him up. Meanwhile, Cassie then turned to her Lucario. "Ryu, see if you can detect any other auras in this cave."

The Lucario nodded obediently, and he once again closed his eyes to use his aura-sensing ability. After a few seconds, he reopened his ruby orbs. 'I sense a trainer up ahead, through a spacious chamber.'

Cassie nodded in response. "Lead us through, Ryu." She quickly called to the men. "We're going to move fast! Ryu just found a trainer close by! Sai, can you keep up?" Nine diminished his wisps, and wafted back to her, ready to take off when she did. Waiting for his response, she looked at her Lucario and said quietly, "Can you make contact with that trainer? Try and make sure he doesn't wander off too far."

Ryu nodded and placed his paw on his temple, attempting long range telepathy to Curt. He focused, channeling into his aura and sent out, '...Greetings, trainer. Do not be alarmed; I mean no harm. Please remain where you are. Help will come to you shortly.'

Sai stood up with perfect posture, He felt the small rush of warm flames surrounding his body. The flames from a Ninetales Wil-O-Wisp were pleasing to the eye, they ranged in color, from sapphire to a golden yellow blending with the crimson red that danced viciously in the air, surrounding it self in a mixture of heat, hot being the closes to the flame and warm on the outer rim. He felt the warm embrace of the flames even more deep inside but he tried to hold back his reaction. "whatever.." he said. Sai looked to his side and noticed his poke-nav was vibrating a bit more intense then usual. Sai could sense the other trainer just as Cassie's Ryu and Nine could, but he couldn't let them know that.

Ever since Sai was small he had abilities that he inherited physic abilities from his mother Sabrina, Who he never really met. When he was a child his mother had left very early to experience other regions and help his father but she never came back, and his father never stayed home enough to give Sai any guidance on how to use his abilities or tell others about them so he kept them a secret.

Sai looked over at Infernape and gave him a stern look. Infernape nodded "I understand.." Infernape used calm mind, Sai looked back at Cassie and looked into her eyes and saw a small emptiness, he then steadied his eyes upon both Jacob and Cassie, Ryu and Nine, Then he stood up, he dug into his Backpack, his hand hitting multiple cold items and accidentally pricking his hand he grabs hold 4 items and throws them over to Cassie and Jacob: 2 Flash lights 1 Escape rope 1 emergency flare. "Yea I can keep up.. no problem." Sai turned his back to them and looked at Infernape, he was ready to move out, He suddenly felt the small weight of Gin, his eevee upon his shoulders, and the warmth of his fur around his neck. Sai, Infernape and Gin walked behind the other two keeping quiet and kept his distance as well.
Infernape: "Sai.. why are we still with them"
Sai: "In a situation like this we might need a group. " he placed his hand on the side of Infernape's face to calm her down
The Pokemon relaxed and trusted her master's judgement even tho she was very cautious of everyone.

Sai couldn't help but zone out as he walked, the muffled sounds of his, the groups and the Pokemon's footsteps echoed in his ears. He had already white noised his thoughts, his eyes seem to be turning colors, going from a hazel nutt to a tint a light purple. When his eyes do this, he had zoned out and came into a deep physic state, He shared to move calm mind with his Infernape after he had laid his hand upon the Pokemon's cheek.
Sai kept extremely quiet the whole time Cassie and Jacob walked and talked, he kept up with their fast pace walking, his body recovered from his sudden illness thanks to cassie's ninetales will-o-wisp.

Sai slightly looked up at cassie as she walked and realized not long ago that the female had a deep loneliness that not even her pokemon could seem to reaching. For a sudden sai felt he had a small connection with someone, so he gripped the inside of his pockets and looks to the side into the darkness and takes a deep chilling breathe.

“I’m a trainer,” Jacob responded to Cassie. “Just going through school right know; none of my pokemon have the type of powers yours have though,” he mentioned as they rushed forward. Jacob had spent the past couple years studying at a university in Unova. He hadn’t had much official experience battling, having never actually challenged one of the leagues. He had, however, taken several advanced courses in pokemon battling, and had practiced many times besides with his friends and classmates.

The group were all following Cassie’s Lucario through the cavern, supposedly heading towards some unseen trainer. Jacob was still skeptical of the power of Cassie’s pokemon, but he followed along; he didn’t really have much of a choice. After all, it was safer with a group, and Sai’s Infernape and Cassie’s Ninetales had created the only light in the area. Not to mention, he had just been handed a flashlight, which he wouldn’t feel comfortable taking with him.

They turned the corner, expecting to see the trainer very soon, if not immediately. Jacob lowered his hand to his waist, where he kept his pokeballs. He wasn’t certain it would be the best idea to meet a new trainer; people hiding in caves were not necessarily the most trustworthy people. He still had his suspicions about Sai especially. He would have to be ready.

Sparkling crystals of all colors littered the cave walls, illuminated by the flame on Embertails tail. That was one of the perks of having a member of the Char’ family in your party, you never had to worry for light. Embertail and Curt found themselves lost in the Crystals radiance.

“Please pay attention you two, you need to be on your guard in a place like this”, a telepathic voice rang in their head, startling the duo. No matter how many times they experienced it, they never got used to her telepathy.

“R-right, sorry about that Flare”, Curt said to the owner of the voice, with Embertail giving an embarrassed chuckle as his form of apology. Walking in front of the duo was elegant looking Ninetails, or Flare as she was called. Curt called her out shortly after they started traveling deeper into the caves, hoping her psychic abilities could help them navigate their way out. Flare was an old Ninetails, over three-hundred according to her, and any Ninetails who lived that long always had psychic abilities, but honestly, the two just preferred the extra company. Curt considered letting out Whips and Lockjaw (a Dragonair and Totodile respectively) too, but Whips didn’t like being bothered unless there was an opponent to fight, and as for Lockjaw, well, considering everything that just happened, Curt was just glad that the tiny blue alligator was able to keep himself from bursting out of his Pokeball.

“Yes, well, I just don’t want either of you falling in a pot hole and breaking something, we can get out of here if we stay focused”, Flare reassured them, giving her eight and a-half tails a small flick.

“Curt”, she continued, “didn’t you buy some kind of…unique map of these caverns? I remember you mentioning that right before we left Ambrette Town, may I see it”?

“Huh? O-oh yeah I did”, Curt replied as he reached for his bag to comply with Flares request, “not sure if it will be of much help though, it doesn’t really go into the details of the subterranean levels”. He finished fishing the map out of his pack and handed it to the white fox Pokemon, who grab ahold of it with her telekinesis and began studying it, while Curt and Embertail waited for her to finish, whatever she was doing.

Waiting didn’t bode well with Embertail, he could be patient when he wanted to be, he was perfectly capable of keeping himself occupied with his thoughts, but right now all he could think about was how tight this cavern was beginning to seem, it was that same sort of tightness that made him dislike Pokeballs so much. He began whistling in an attempt to calm his nerves, he didn’t want anyone noticing he was starting to freak-out.

“Hey bro, you alright?”, Curt asked his friend, he knew something was wrong when Embertail started whistling, he always started whistling when he was scared. The Pokemon responded with a nervous chuckle trying to assure Curt that he was all right, but that only made it clear to Curt that he wasn’t. Realization hit Curt like a rampaging Rhydon, why didn’t he see it before? Embertails eye’s grew wide as Curt, once again, dug into his backpack and proceeded to pull out a bottle of Arceus blessed nectar that could purge worry from any mind:

Soda Pop.

Curt handed to bottle to Embertail which he eagerly took; twisted the cap, off and took a long swig. Embertail had been with him and his family since Curt was four, after all the time they spent together, the two knew each other as well as they knew themselves.

“You know, only I have two those, so you might want to save-“, Curt was cut off when Embertail suddenly sent a stream of soda flying out of his mouth onto the floor. Curt didn’t even get a chance to ask him what that was about before Embertail grabbed his shirt and started frantically pointing down the other end of the cavern.

“Something contacted him”, Flare spoke, placing the map back in Curts pack and turning her attention to the same end of the cave.

“I’m sorry, something did what?”

“I felt some form of energy reach out and contact Embertail, similar to my telepathy”.

“R-really”, Curt said, with only a hint of apprehension in his voice, “well, what did it say Ember?” Embertail opened his mouth the respond, only to close it again and start scratching the back of his head with a look of confusion on his face. Clearly, whatever the message was either didn’t make much sense, or wasn’t meant for him.

“Embertail, tell me, whatever contacted you, what did it say, did it sound threatening?”, Flare asked him. Embertail shook his head in response, then preceded to point to the ground and let out a soft roar, and then point to Curt. The message, they pieced together, was meant for Curt, and it was asking them to stay here.

“Hmmmm….this might be trick of some kind, hold on a second, let me see if I can identify whatever tried to contact you”, Flare said and closed her eyes in concentration as a faint purple glow surrounded Embertail then, as quickly as she started, her eye’s popped back open and the glow faded.

“That was….aura energy, a Lucarios, and a powerful one at that, almost certainly has a trainer”, Flare continued, “Well, that probably throws out the possibility of it being a trap, one of the last things a Lucario is known for is being deceitful, even if it’s trainer ordered it to-

“Well if it say’s its bringing help and you say it probably doesn’t want to kill us, I say we wait for them,” Curt interjected (Flare could go on forever if you let her), ”if there is any danger in this cave, I’d rather face it with some back-up”. Flare cast a scornful glare in Curts direction, that was what she was going to say if he LET HER FINISH, but it didn’t change the point. She agreed with him, there was strength in numbers. A quick nod of agreement from Embertail and it was settled, they would wait. Soon they started to hear the sound of footsteps, then, from the blackness of the cave, they began to make out several figures beginning to take shape from the darkness.

“Huh, looks like quite the crowd already”, Curt muttered, “well gang, should we go introduce ourselves?” But Embertail was one step ahead of them. He was already well in front of Curt and Flare, greeting the on-comers with a big smile, an enthusiastic wave, and an adorable growl that sounded a lot like a: “Hello”.

“Well, at least they can't say he didn't try to be friendly”, Curt thought as he and Flare went to join Embertail in getting a better look at there new cave-in mates

(OOC: I'll let you guy's begin the introduction between our characters, probably a good idea to let the mods start that off, huh?)

"You mean telepathy?" Cassie raised an eyebrow, an amused grin stretching across her lips as she eyed Jacob. They moved at a mid-jog to keep up with Ryu's cautious, yet urgent pace. She often had to look back to make sure Sai was still there, and bit back her desire to yell at him to pick up the pace each time. "Telepathy is actually quite a common trait among Lucario and Ninetales. They're both intelligent Pokemon." She gazed at Ryu's back absently, her train of thought drawling on. "However, wild Lucario tend to not be able to fully utilize Aura, unlike trained Lucario. On the other hand, most Ninetales naturally develop telepathy after reaching several hundred years of age. Many Pokemon Professors believe that humans bring out the best of Pokemon and vise versa. That might be why. Trainers help their Pokemon discover their full potential that would otherwise be wasted." She paused for a moment, and then laughed in amusement; a kind of chiming noise that echoed through the cave. "I'm sorry, I tend to drone on sometimes."

She could hear voices not far ahead, and all of a sudden, Nine's ears stood erect, his fur standing on end. The fox Pokemon froze in place, looking ahead in almost awe. Cassie halted as soon as he did. "Nine? What's the matter?" However, no response came until a whole minute passed, when Nine finally blinked and looked back at her. 'It's nothing. I've just... Sensed a special presence nearby.' His trainer raised an eyebrow playfully. "Another Ninetales? Well, we don't want to keep them waiting, do we?" She spun lightly on her heel and jogged ahead, Nine close behind, in order to catch up to Ryu.

It didn't take long at all, because the Lucario had stopped moving as well. Cassie strode up to his side, following his gaze, and noticed another source of light up ahead. She had to squint, for her dilated eyes needed to adjust to the sudden exposure to light again. She could make out a growling orange ball, waddling over. "A Charmander?" A small amused grin pulled at her lips, but Ryu remained cautious, watching it closely. She placed a hand between his ears and petted him, loosening his tense muscles the same way he did to her before. "Hello little creature. Where'd you come from?" She too stood on alert, however, just in case it decided to attack.

Moments later, she could see a human figure following behind, followed by... "Another Ninetales." Her grin grew wider, and once again Nine's fur stood on end, his eyes wide at the sight of the female Ninetales walking alongside her trainer. Judging from the way her fur shined gold, Cassie guessed that she must be at least a hundred years old. Nine on the other hand, was still young, barely five decades of age. He had been a Vulpix for most of his life before Cassie caught him, trained him, and evolved him with a fire stone. And one thing was for sure, he did not fare well with female Ninetales. Cassie found it adorable. Even Ryu found amusement in it.

However, as Nine gawked at Flare, Cassie observed her trainer carefully. She noted his facial features, and the slight gut he had. Like Jacob and Sai, he too towered over her. She sighed inwardly, but shook the thought out and once again cocked her hip, playing a relieved smile onto her face. "Glad we caught you. I'm Cassie, this awestruck vulpine here is Nine, and this is Ryu. He's the one who managed to make contact with you." She then turned to the two men she was currently with. "This is Jacob and that's Sai." She gestured to each of them respectively. The situation felt lighter upon meeting up with Curt, so she decided to throw in a joke while she was at it. "They're competing for my hand in marriage."

She paused, a cheeky grin on her face as she took in the men's reaction (Ryu facepalmed, Nine remained unfazed), and then laughed hardily. "I joke. We're total strangers." Cassie nudged Ryu playfully and continued, "Who might you be?"

OOC just for the record the prophecy and myths in this posts are mainly fake to just add some character development and detail all in all Excalibur at full strength can match a medium power mega lucario

BIC
"This is it, this is where the elders said we would be able to unlock exo's new form!" Said jake as he and his partner Pokemon lucario entered the cave drenched from the torrential rain and shaken by the ever looming storm
"I believe it's time to check the next passage of the scroll" spoke lucario in jake's head using their shared aura link to communicate with its trainer
"I think you're right but the elders said we must find refuge within majesty to find the next great demon. Any idea what that means?" Answered jake seeking a pokemons insight on the issue
"Well to find refuge inside majesty, maybe it something about coming in here to escape the storm, I mean this place is beautiful so maybe the shrine is somewhere deep within this cave?" Replied the Pokemon not quite sure about its response
"Hey it's better than nothing, we might as well try and by the time we're done, the storm should have passed" responded jake enthusiastically

***flash back to 6 months earlier***

"Congratulations jake and lucario you are the first duo to ever successfully complete the aura trails and here is you reward the ancient lucarionite" said the great elder of the Aura isle as she handed jake the mega stone "and now you have completed our trails we have a new quest for your and your Pokemon, this is the demon masters scroll" she said handing jake a gold embossed roll of parchment"this is will guide you to the six shrines of the great demon Pokemon Excalibur

Long ago the demon Pokemon excalibur ruled these lands with terror until one day a young hero and his partner lucario were able to defeat six of the demons seven forms and confine their powers to the six demon scrolls and their forms it steel spheres which were in turn placed in Six hidden shrines.
As for what happened to the seventh and most powerful form it was captured by the hero and confined within a steel sphere over time the demons forms used up most of their power to bond with the spheres but only the seventh and most powerful was able to escape, that was when I was just a young child, in its weakened state I was able to capture the demon in a metal plated pokeball however I was never able to control its power so I locked it away in this very room and guarded it all my life now I am able to pass on its power to you in hope you will be able to control it and regather the six missing forms to make the Pokemon whole once more. Then you will be a me to protect this world from whatever shall endanger it
Do you accept this honour and this responsibility?"
"I do"

***end of flashback***

"Here we are the crystal lagoon shrine!, I guess your Pokemon senses led us in the right direction" jake said smugly as he entered the rather large gemstone cavern
"I guess so" replied lucario telepathically

"Water, constantly flowing like the eternal streams of life and death as they weave their ways through the universe. I summon your power and release your body from its metal bonds" jake said reading the water demon scroll as mega lucario moved its arms and manipulated the world around them
With the steel plated ultra ball sitting on the shrines pedestal a loud roaring sound could be heard as energy from the scroll, sphere and the entire crystal lagoon slowly fed its way up to the ball and entered through the seal button then a thumping sound came from the ball BOON BOON BOOM before finally silence as Excalibur excepts its newest form

( Ahhh.. @Frontier Master I think if you're going to be in the cave, you should kinda be in here already since like the rocks and stuff have already sealed all of us in :'| that's just my opinion here, cause ah yea xD there isnt really a way to walk into the cave now, the Rhydon kinda sealed us all in, no entrances are open for you to kinda come in too. )

Sai watched as both Jacob and Cassie begun to pick up speed into a light jog and he was able to keep up with them at his own pace. Sai really didn't care how other trainers saw him as, he knew his athletic abilities were probably over most of the trainers that have been trapped in the cave, He was conserving his energy for when the real challenge comes along. The whole time he walked, he kept up enough so that Infernape's flamed head kept up with them as well, making sure he didn't lose them. Sai cocked his head a bit and lifted his hands under his chin gripping it and he closed his eyes thinking.

"I can't shake this feeling I have, something is calling us something.. powerful something that will change us, but what is it!." his mind raced with questions and examining the situation, he ran his hand through his curly hair.

At the moment Sai opened his eyes, he saw that the 2 were talking and laughing among themselves, he sighed because he can't be that way with anyone. he was closed off to the world, He only had his pokemon around anyway, the gaze of his eyes sunk down to the floor, they had changed back to the hazel-nut color they once were. For the first time in his life Sai was ready to admit he was slightly lonely and seeked a companion an actual human companion to enjoy the day with or the adventure.
His Infernape looked over at sai and noticed her master had become sad, so she leaned in on him and nuzzled his chin and part of his cheek.
"It's okay Sai, as long as you have us right?" the fire pokemon picked up on her trainers feelings and quickly acted. Sai had smiled and was slightly surprised by Infernape's actions and he had smiled and stroked her fur "Thank you, I'm fine don't worry about it."
Soon after, the group came to a stop because Cassie's Nine had stood up as if it just felt a similar presence. That's when Sai had realized that cassie had found a charmander and his trainer plus another ninetales. Sai wasn't paying attention but his ears perked up when he over heard Cassie say a lame joke, he managed to cock a smile but hide it well, While the trainers began their introductions a twinkle hit Sai in the corner of his eye, he had noticed something out in the distance.
"I wonder what that could be.." Sai said.
He looked over at cassie and jacob and the other, then back at the item but it disappeared. Sai shrugged but kept his mind open if it comes back, He looked over at jacob and studied him, he felt as if the boy didn't trust him, but that's okay because he wasn't staying with them for long. He didn't care what happened as long as he could find this special cubone he was still looking for, but being in a group Increases the chance of survival and hopefully he'll try to keep everyone safe.
"Sai, there is another trainer here in the cave besides this one" his infernape whispered over to him.
"Yea I know, I felt him as well.."
"Do we tell them or..?"
"She'll pick up sooner or later.. it's not my job to locate people.. we are just extra at this point in time." Sai took out a cheri berry and held it up to Infernape's mouth. "Here buddy, eat this you deserve a break right now while we have the time."

Sai and Infernape sat down and he leaned against the Infernapes side and closed his eyes as the others talked, he looked at his poke-nav and held it close to his chest, he felt the sudden lump in his chest and forgot about the chain he had been wearing that had another key stone attached to it. He let out a long exhausted sigh and looked up at the stalactites on the ceiling that dripped water slowly down upon the trainers, he tuned in back to the conversation with the others.

The approaching figures finally came into view as they approached the light Embertail gave off, infact , the other group seemed to have some form of illumination themselves.

“Hello little creature, where did you come from?”, a female voice rang through the caverns. Curt and Flare caught up with Embertail and finally got a decent look at the other people trapped in the caves with them. The owner of the voice was a girl who looked a few years younger than Curt and about a head shorter then him too.

“Well, I see you’ve meet Embertail”, Curt said as the trainers ash-grey eye’s locked with his own. Yet another moment of silence passed through the caverns as the women staired intensly at him. Despite having more than half a foot on the trainer, Curt found himself unnerved by the way she was glaring at him. Trying to distract himself from her gaze, his attention fell on what he assumed to be her Pokemon. Right behind her stood a Lucario who, Curt assumed, was the one who stent that telepathic message to Embertail (unless there was another Lucario near-bye, but he doubted that). He saw a Lucario once before, when he challenged a trainer from Sinnoh who was visiting New Bark-town. This Lucario seemed much like the Lucario Embertail fought back then, focused, disciplined, loyal, and relentless in battle. Curt remembered that battle vividly, he learned that day why a trainer a Lucario’s considers worthy of it, is a trainer worthy of respect. He also remembered how that Lucario’s Aura Sphere sent Embertail flying into his stomach, causing them both to spill their lunch all over the ground.

A bit further behind her appeared to be, interestingly enough, another Ninetails. Male too, judging by the sharper muzzle and slightly bulkier build it had compared to Flare. That, and there was the fact that it was staring at Flare like an awkward teenager stares at their crush in those cheesy high-school romance movies(he made a mental note to tease Flare about that later). He had a sleek white coat, and all nine of his tails seemed to be very well-taken care of, which was a common thing for Ninetails, they treasured their tails over almost anything else.

“Glad we caught you”, the trainer said after she got done analyzing him, briefly catching Curts attention again. She introduced herself as Cassie, her pokemon as Nine, and Ryu, and her two human companions as Jacob and Sai. Curt turned his attention to the other two trainers, though Cassie apparently decided he wasn’t an immediate threat Jacob, on the other hand, did not seem so sure. Curt noticed had his hands hovering his belt, as though he wanted to be ready to spring into action if Curt decided to try anything.

Sai, on the other hand, couldn’t seem to care less about Curt. Aside from the occasionally mutter to the Infernape on his back, his attention seemed to be somewhere else completely. The Infernape seemed well taken care off and very attached to her trainer, at least, he thought it was a girl, judging by how soft the face appeared to be. He had never seen an Infernape in person before, only in pictures so he didn’t really know much about them. Now that he thought about it, Sai had to be pretty strong if he carried that Infernape around on his back everywhere….

Curt was brought back to the here-and-now when he heard Cassie mention something about marriage. Due to zoning out, Curt was unsure of how the topic of marriage even came up, considering the circumstances . Not sure on how to respond, all he could do was give her a look of confusion, to which she respond to by laughing and claiming she was making a joke. Which meant to Curt that he narrowly avoided making a fool of himself.

“So, who might you be?”, Cassie asked.

“Oh, uh, people call me Curt, and it’s nice to see some friendly faces down here…uh, you guy’s have already met Embertail, he was the one Ryu contacted by mistake, heh”, Curt said while Embertail gave another friendly wave.

“And I’m Flare, pleased to meet you”, The Fox Pokemon said stepping forward, communicating with her Telepathy. She paused for a moment before continuing, “Oh! I apologize if I startle you, I just assumed that you would be expecting this form of communication, considering your company”. She finished, tilting her head slightly towards Nine and Ryu.

"Sooo, I don't suppose anybody has a plan on how to get out of here", Curt said.

OOC OK correct me if I miss anything or if anything seems out of place also just for the record I do not own any of the pictures of Excalibur's forms they are all scavenged from the net

BIC the ritual to release Excalibur's predator form had just finished, when Lucario suddenly dived on Jake and used protect as a huge tremor raged through the crystal cavern and brought huge chunks of crystal and stone fell from the ceiling directly above the trainer but not before a stone the size of a pokeball chipped him on the back of the head knocking him out for a couple of minutes As jake slowly regained consciousness Lucario was just starting to remove the small rocks which had embedded themselves in its hands and fur
"Whooh what the heck was that!" yelled Jake as the last clouds of dust began to settle
"I'm quite not sure some kinda of tremor something but I know that we wont be getting out of here the way we came in" replied Lucario gesturing to the once huge doorway now totally covered by an enormous amount of crystals and stone.
"Oh well can you try and find us a way out?" asked Jake trying to not overreact and waste time, effort or the limited supply of air available to them in the small air pocket
"well there is a small opening at the bottom of the lagoon but it leads to a stretch of underwater tunnels for the next 200 metres even with Greninja's help we wouldn't make it face it Jake we wont be getting out of here" replied telepathically Lucario trying to hold back tears
"No, NO, NO, this will not be the end of us, what if, what if we used Excalibur's new form its part water type right? maybe I could ride it to the end of the tunnel, hopefully before I drown. I mean its worth a shot right?" Jake asked gingerly trying to not break down
"You might as well try I mean we are going to die if we stay here why not take one last chance" Lucario said as it returned itself to its poke-ball
"OK Jake you can do this, Excalibur I need your help, Predator form carry me through the deep and through to the other side" said the trainer as he threw the demon Pokemon's
ultra-ball and hoped for the best

"ROOAARRAGHGH" the demon Pokemon landed in the lagoon with a large splash and bobbed on the surface starring at the dusty bruised trainer that summoned it
"hey there big guy are you, ready to test what this new form can do?"
"ROAAARGH" replied the demons three heads
"Ok I'm going to hope that meant yes and not if you come near near I will tear you into tiny pieces" jake responded as he slowly waded his way out to the Pokemon "ok all good so far now when I say go swim as fast as you can through that tunnel there, ready go!" Jake yelled as he climb onto the demon Pokemon and held on tight
And the Pokemon responded with speed like nothing jake had ever experienced under, on, in or near any form of water, as Excalibur swam through the tunnel jake had to use every muscle he had to hold on. Then it stopped and the speed and water seemed to magically disappear as Excalibur and aching trainer emerged from the tunnel and into a slow moving river, they had made it
"Guys we did it, we did it!" Jake exclaimed as he waded out of the water and returned predator Excalibur to its ultra-ball "great work big guy you deserve a big rest"
"Now where to next?, Lucario? And ideas?" Jake asked as his partner appeared beside him
"Nope not a clue" answered the Pokemon as he too slowly came off his adrenalin rush
"Wanna head that way" jake said pointing to a tunnel that lead deeper into the mountain
"Why not? We are alive and well so lets do it" replied the Pokemon

Jacob sighed as he looked around. Curt seemed to be a friendly enough guy, and his Charmander wasn’t particularly menacing. Jacob dropped his arm down at his side. He wouldn’t need his pokemon for the moment. It was odd, Jacob thought, how many people had been in the cave during the time of the cave in. He reminded himself that the Glittering Cave was a sort of tourist destination, but no one seemed to be here on vacation. Jacob shook himself out of his thoughts, stepping forward towards Curt.

“I’m Jacob,” Jacob repeated Cassie’s introduction. “I’m guessing you probably heard the rumbling; the cave-in that trapped us here isn’t too far away from here. Is there any chance that you know of another way out? The entrance by us is covered with rocks, and it’s too fragile for us to simply force our way through.”

Jacob turned and nodded at Cassie before looking back towards Curt for his response.

It was quite surprising to hear a voice in your head that you're not familiar with. For a moment, she thought she'd gone insane. But the only response she had to show for was the slight tug at the corner of her lips. "Whoah, I thought I'd really gone off the deep end there." Came her easy going chuckle. "Nice to meet you, Flare. And you too Embertail." She winked casually at the Charmander and piped down, allowing Jacob to have his turn at the conversation. Of course, she didn't remain idle either while listening to Jacob and Curt's brief chatter. She glanced back quickly at Sai, watching him have his own conversation with his Infernape, before turning her attention to Ryu, who once again had his eyes closed. "What is it, Ryu?"

His eyes snapped open and his gaze shot to the ceiling. Cassie felt goosebumps ride up her back, but she heard it too. The rushing water. Gushing, rocks shifting, breaking, and instinctively, her hands grabbed two Pokeballs from her belt, and chucked them into the air in a single, swift movement. "Ace! Fang! I need you!"

The Swanna and Garchomp burst from their Pokeballs, giving their own respective cries. Nine snapped out of his daze and gazed alarmingly at his trainer. "Ryu, grab Sai! Nine, stay with me! Ace, Fang, to Curt and Jacob, quickly!" The Pokemon rushed to their instructed humans, standing alert, and ready, and Cassie began stomping her feet on the ground, searching for the reverberation of what might be another channel below. She snapped her head back up, and yelled, "Use Protect over your heads, all of you, now!"

Just as the Pokemon's respective barriers went up, the stalactites above came crashing down. It was fast, sudden, happening in a split second with a seismic crack. The deadly rocks collided with the protective barriers, and with them?

Water gushed down like a waterfall.

Protect split the water flow in half, but water was quickly filling up beneath their feet. The storm raged mercilessly, and water kept flowing. Cassie gave a disgruntled scream, and she eyed her Pokemon, struggling under the weight of the running water and mud. She eyed Fang, her Garchomp, who currently protected Jacob, and she thanked Arceus for putting him there the way she did; closest to her. Cassie placed her hand on Nine's shuddering back, "Follow me..." She whispered soothingly, and she guided her Ninetales towards Fang and Jacob.

"Jacob, get under here!" She grabbed Jacob's arm and yanked him under Nine's Protect. The shield was only meant for one Pokemon, so she had to squeeze in too close for comfort with Jacob in order to fit them all. "Nine, tell everyone to come close to Fang!"

Water was climbing up their waists, and without a moment's hesitation, the Ninetales struggled with his message. 'Everyone... Come... Towards the Garchomp... Now!' He let out an exhausted whine, and Cassie knew Protect wasn't going to last much longer. This was their only shot. "Fang, use Dig! Dig straight down!"

The dragon Pokemon let out a roar, as if cursing the infernal water, but he trusted his trainer, so he shut down his barrier and dove into the ground below, burrowing his way under. He left behind a hole about three feet wide, and the water immediately filled it in. Cassie sucked in a breath, praying her Garchomp would find the channel and not end up drowning, but she shook her head. She needed to focus. "Everyone... Jump in! One by one!"

Now that she looked at it, the hole looked somewhat like a muddy, menacing water slide. But this was surely going to be one heck of a ride.

anyway.. Sai's gonna dissappear during these moments, ill turn into the obstacle maker.)

Sai had be quickly covered by Ryu and he couldn't react quick enough because he was still in a daze, his body still not up to speed yet, he needed another hour. The water hit Sai slightly on the cheek, he had suddenly felt energy run through him once his skin soaked in the water. He knew this feeling, the strength from the water, the quick energy from it. As the water became separated by the Pokemons, Sai recovered his full strength calling back his Infernape into her ball, He quickly got out of Ryu's Grasp and moved over towards the hole and Cassie. He came up behind nine and smirked holding him from the back becoming the support for him. Sai flexed his muscles, he seemed to actually be enjoying this situation they are all in. "I'm ready, I'm all healed now. You guys can relax! Come on out guys, we got it from here!" Sai threw two pokeballs towards the floor and out came Electivire and absol. "Electivire use Quick Guard, Absol use Wide Guard on the back of Ele!" the water separated fully around the wide guard and quick guard giving a circle effect, wide enough for everyone to stand up, which gave Cassie's pokemon time to rest .

Sai smirked and looked back at the others, he stood up and looked around different situations happened in his head thinking quickly the best route, which was the hole Cassie's Garchomp has made, His pokemon gave them more time to go down the hole and Cassie to take back her pokemon. He looked over at Jacob and Curt and stared at them as if they weren't moving fast enough.

Soon after the trainer noticed a the shiny object floating in the water, It was white with a gradient of blues inside of it, It shined heavy and called out to Sai. "There it is.. what is that..". He didn't know what to do, but he wanted to grab it before it disappeared on him. He squatted down relaxing his leg muscles, and using his into power to relax his muscles. He dashed out grabbing curt and throwing him down the hole, with his Charmander and his ninetales. Next was Jacob, Sai knew Jacob didn't trust him but he didn't have time to argue or struggle with the boy so he dashed out behind him and grabbed him as well threw him down the hole as well watching him slide. He turned to Cassie, Swanna, Ryu and Nine. "Cassie.. call your Pokemon back and go" Sai said with a stern voice "I got it from here.. I'll meet up with you guys later." he reached over and grabbed her and threw her down watching the partner pokemon go after her, he then covered the whole and took out a water mask from his bag and looked over at absol. "Alright Azol drop the wide guard." Absol looked back at his trainer and nodded jumping back. Sai took out his ball and called him back in quickly moving behind Electivire. "Alright Ele, get ready I'm making a dash for the item." Ele nodded and knew what the plan was.

Sai made a dash towards the item and Ele followed beside him, he kept the quick guard up as much as possible. The Orb like item was about to go down a hole but at that instant Sai jumped out and reached for the item grabbing it, Ele grabbed hold of Sai and they both went tumbling into the hole plunging into the darkness whirlpool.

oh i'm sorry

Jacob was almost in shock. Everything happened so fast. The cave flooded, pokemon appeared in quick flashes, and then before he knew what was happening, he was thrown down a hole, water rushing in after him. The hole was wide enough to fit Jacob comfortably. He slid down, gaining speed as the drop became more vertical before very slowly leveling out. Jacob began to crawl forwards. Where was Curt? He had been thrown down in front of him. Jacob began to hear water rushing behind him. He began to move more quickly.

The path began to rise on a vertical angle, but only slightly. Jacob crawled for a few seconds before coming to the end. He climbed up out of the hole. It was dark, although the crystals sticking out of the wall glowed dimly. He stood, and brushed himself off looking around the area. He felt his stomach drop; they were still stuck in the cave. He wanted nothing more than to be out of the area at this point. But what could he do. He saw Fang out of the corner of his eye, looking very proud at his escape, standing by the far wall.

He stuck his head back in the hole, looking for the others. He reached his hand out and shouted:

“Grab my hand!”

“Can’t say I do, in fact, I was looking for one myself before I ran into you guy’s”, Curt replied to Jacob while he crossed his arms, “and the way I came from is no good so-“

“Curt, do you hear that”, he heard Flare tell him through her telepathy, “it sounds like running water”. Curt stopped and listened to the caves, at first he heard nothing, but gradually he began to hear something threw the cavern walls. Then he thought heard Jacob say something that, which made Curt realized he just stopped talking in the middle of his sentence.

“O-oh, uh, sorry about that, but I thi-,”, but Curt was cut off again by the sound of Pokeballs opening. He turned his attention to the noise to see the Caisse had let out a Pokemon Curt recognized as what he thought was a Garchomp(where'd she get THAT, those were extremely rare), those were extreme, and a Swan-like pokemon he had never seen before. This didn’t bode well, Curt may had only just met Cassie, but she didn’t seem like the kind of trainer just to throw out her Pokemon for the sake of showing off. Moments after her pokemon came out the ceiling started to give sounds of creaking.

“Oh crap…guys, get ready”, Curt yelled at his partners! Barely a second passed after he finished talking before Stalagmites began falling from the ceiling, but before either he, Jacob, or their Pokemon got a chance to do anything, the Swan pokemon were already beside them and were project a protective barrier around them. Curt had to admire the Pokemons speed and Cassie reaction time, but just as the rocks finished smashing against the barrier, a heavy stream of water began gushing from the ceiling, and one the the streams was directly on top of Curt and his group. Thankful the Swan Pokemon was one tough bird, and it’s barrier split the water into, he could see even its strength was beginning to waver, and so long as protect was up, they couldn’t move. They were pinned.

“Flare, do you think you could-”?, Curt began to ask her, but she was already one step ahead of him, as she began to project an invisible ray of psychic energy to split the water coming down on them. It didn’t shield them quite as well as protect, but Extrasensory gave them the opening they needed to get out from the water.

“O.K, Flare, were safe, move quickly”, Curt yelled at the fire fox as she stopped her attack and leaped for safety, barely avoiding being pummeled by the water. They were safe from that, but the area was filling up with water quick. But before he could even gather his senses, he felt a tug on the back of his shirt, Sai was dragging him to a hole that, apparently in the time it took them to escape the water, Cassies Garchomp had managed to dig an escape route, that looked like a dirty water slide.

“Wait, let me call back Flare and get Embertail on my back”, he wanted to tell Sai, trying to keep the fire Pokemon as far away from the water as possible, but only got as far as “Wait!” before the surprisingly strong man shoved him in the hole. Embertail made a quick leap onto the slide, managing to landing on Curts chest, and did him the favor of grabbing Flares Pokeball(Curt noticed Embertail avoided giving him his pokeball).

“Thanks buddy”, Curt said as he called Flare back. The Fox Pokemon didn’t find the slide very agree able was grateful to be back in her ball. Embertail, on the other hand, found the muddy water-slide extremely enjoyable, letting out a cry of excitement as they went rushing through Garchomps slide. It did sort of remind Curt of those pipe-like slides they had at those water parks, and Curt was (once again) grateful for Embertails flame, atleast they weren’t riding in darkness.

Eventually, the slide leveled out. Embertail crawled over Curts’ head and they both began to crawl out of the escape tunnel. The coarse ground scrapped their belly’s as the escape route took a slight incline. Curt wished he was able to escape the water quicker, he could have sent Lockjaw to help Cassies Garchomp. Embertail, being in front of Curt, made sure to keep his tail tucked closed to his head, so to avoid accidentally whacking his friend with it. After a few moments of crawling, the two heard a voice ring out:

“Grab my hand”! It was Jacob. The light Embertail emitted revealed a hand dangling from a hole above them. Embertail reached out, grabbed Jacobs hand, and was pulled up. A brief moment passed, during which Curt heard Embertail give a growl that sounded distinctly like “Thank-you” before the hand reappeared to help Curt up. A grunt and a pull later, and Curt joined Jacob, Embertail, and Cassies Garchomp (Fin, did she call it?) in the cavern.

“Thanks Jacob, I appreciate it”, he said turning to Jacob with a smile and then turned to the Garchomp, “and thank you too Fin, you and Cassie should consider opening up an underground water-park when we get out of here”. Embertail gave a small roar in agreement, while the Garchomp gave him a bemused smile in response. Curt reached out to his belt and sent Flare back out, they still could use her psychic abilities to help find an escape route. While Curt was letting Flare out, Embertail heard more shuffling coming from the tunnel. Eager to help, Embertail walked over and stuck his own claw down the tunnel.

“Uh, Embertail, I think you should-,” was all Curt could get out before the fire lizard gave a cry, and who ever went to grab his claw accidentally pulled Embertail down back into the tunnel. Curt gave out a small sigh, Embertail was a strong little Charmander, but sometimes seemed to forget how much lighter he was then people. A moment of silence passed before Embertail let out another growl, this one sounding like a "hello".

""I'll get this one Jacob, if you want, you and Flare can work on finding a way out", Curt told the fellow trainer as he went over to the tunnel, this time sticking his own hand in there to help Embertail and whoever else was down there.

Cassie and Sai were the last two trainers left on that flooding chamber. As she stared at him, his Absol, and Electrivire, she knew he had something else planned already. The situation was dire, so if it was a chance, then she would hold all her questions and take it. Moving herself under Electrivire's Quick Guard, she pulled out her Pokemon's respective Pokeballs and returned them. Safe on her belt. Cassie looked back at Sai and nodded stiffly, allowing herself to be thrown down the hole and be immersed in complete darkness. The water combined with dirt, and the mud made the ride quick. She felt her stomach dip in the slight vertical drop before the tunnel levelled out. Water was filling up quickly, and she had to crawl her way up the incline.

However, she noticed the light at the end of the tunnel, and a tiny orange claw reach in for her. "Embertail?" She asked, more to herself, as she reached out and took his claw, pulling slightly, only to have him fall in with her. Luckily, Cassie was able to catch him before he dropped in the water. Embertail let out an adorable growl, and Cassie chuckled in response. "Hello again."

Cradling the little Charmander in her arms, she was just about to move again when she heard Jacob and Curt. A huge weight was lifted off her shoulders as she sighed in relief, knowing that they were safe for now. Soon enough, a human hand reached down, and Cassie moved Embertail onto her shoulder in order to reach up and grab hold of said hand. Her glove was soaked, and her white turtleneck was now an ugly mud-stained color. She dug her boot into the muddy wall and climbed up, then over. She was face to face with Curt, and leaned in close until only an inch remained between their noses. Swiftly, almost teasingly, she passed Embertail to him. "He's yours, I believe."

Just as swiftly, she slid onto her feet, and her eyes glimmered when she saw Fang stand in the far wall. "Fang!" The young trainer ran to her Garchomp and tackle him in a hug. "You're alright..."

At the moment, nothing else mattered. Until, of course, reality set in. Cassie pulled back and focused her attention on the gaping hole, starting to gush with water. "Fang, use Mud Shot on that."

Right away, Fang shot a stream of mud onto the hole, sealing it tight, while Cassie released Nine from his pokeball once again. "Nine, Will-O-Wisp on the seal."

Small balls of fire emanated from him and drifted towards the wet mud seal, quickly drying them upon contact. Cassie then released Ryu and took off her gloves, squeezing the water from it. "Sai has decided to go separate ways. He said he'll meet up with us later. But now, we should focus on finding a way out. Any ideas?"

“Heh, thanks”, Curt said, taking Embertail from Cassie, he then turned his attention back the little fire lizard, “and how did you expect to pull her out, you were bent so far over you were half-way back through the hole, you had no leverage”. Embertail merely smiled and stuck his tongue at him, Curt rolled his eyes and put him back down.

He watched as Fang and Nine sealed the hole, realizing the Garchomps name was Fang, not Fin(he hope the Garchomp didn’t inform anyone about that later) as Cassie brought them up to date on what happened to Sai. Curt was a little worried about the mans safety, though the guy man-handled him into a mud-slide, Sai’s quick thinking probably saved his life.

“Well there are still two directions we can take, I think we should pick one, so maybe we shou-“, Curt was, once again, cut off. This time by a loud groan that seemed to completely surround the area they were in, the loud noise caused the tiny pebbles that literred the ground to shake, and the small puddles of water left over from the escape tunnel to ripple. For a moment, everyone was silent, until a loud “POP” was heard and a blue light flashed from one of Curt’s Pokeballs, and next to him stood a tiny light blue alligator.

“O-oh crap, Lockjaw, p-please, just stay calm”, Curt told the Totodile. Most Totodiles were cheery, sometimes to the point of being oblivious to danger, or constantly optimistic. Lockjaw, was not one of those Totodiles.

“ROAHRAW”, yelled the panic filled Lockjaw started running around, screaming in terror. Curt knew this should have happened sooner or later, the little Alligator was prone to panic attacks in stressful or frightening situation, honestly, Curt was surprised he hadn’t popped out of his ball earlier, but that terrifying roar finally drove him over the edge, and the frightened Pokemon sprinted towards the leftward direction of the cave.

“NO, LOCKJAW, COMEBACK”, Curt yelled as he ran after the frightened Pokemon, normally Lockjaw wasn’t that fast, but when he got scared, his sprint could give even Embertail a run for his money. Embertail and Flare followed Curt in the pursuit of Lockjaw, apparently the tiny alligator choose THEIR direction for them.

(OOC: fun fact, this scene originally ended with Curt body-tackling Lockjaw and pinning him to the ground while everyone looks on awkwardly. This was actually inspired by a picture I drew, I might post it later if anyone wants to see it, and yeah, I realize I sort of made my team the comedy relief at this point. We're actually fairly competent battler's, I swear! O.K, I'll stop posting for a while and let everyone else get caught-up)

Isabella had been traveling with her Venasaur along to forest that surrounds the glitter cave, she had been following a boy she had saw in the village the day before because she wanted to thank him for saving her life a while back. As she was traveling she had got distracted by a group of wild Pokemon and lost the boy. "Oh no khmer we lost the boy.." she said sighing putting her hands on her hips and looked back at her Venasaur who is in joying the sun and she smiled at him, leans over petting the Pokemons head. "Oh my god you're just so cute." she cuddled him and he replied with the cutest wale a venasuar can make. "Saaaauurrr!"

They began to walk again when they came along a cave that seemed to be blocked off by the main entrance and Isabella leaned back huffing out air and thinks. "Maybe there is another way in come on Khmer."

Isabella began walking along side the cave with khmer, but as she walked along the cave she felt a sudden rumble and shake underneath her and she stopped to look around at the area. Khmer hadn't caught up yet, as the giant grass type pokemon stepped behind her the floor colapsed underneath them and they fell through sliding down a giant hole into the cave, The slide collapsing behind her. Isabella screamed in terror. "AHHHHH!" she had fell through the second floor of the cave her screams could be heard through out the cave.

“Hold on!” Jacob called after Curt as he and his Charmander chased Lockjaw deeper into the cave. Jacob himself wasn’t certain he wanted to go anywhere; in fact, this could be perfect for his work. Just because he was trapped didn’t mean he couldn’t be studying pokemon interactions. This cave was bound to be crawling with different pokemon. Nevertheless, Jacob figured they should all stay together. He turned towards Cassie, nodding in the direction Curt ran off in as if to suggest they follow him.

Before he began to move, however, he grabbed a pokeball from his belt. He threw it into the air, and it popped open, releasing a flash of white. When the flash subsided, Rover, Jacob’s Honchcrow, sat on the ground, looking up at him. Rover stretched his wings, seemingly yawning as he enjoyed the space outside his pokeball. There wasn’t too much room for flying in the cave, but Rover wasn’t too large a pokemon, and the pokemon’s speed and agility might be helpful in scouting ahead.

“Rover, let’s go. I need you to fly ahead and keep an eye on the boy up there with a Charmander following him.” Rover nodded, letting out a brief “crow” before heading off in Curt’s direction. The truth was, it wouldn’t be too hard to keep up with him, not with Embertail’s tail glowing like it was. As he began moving deeper into the cave, he turned back to Cassie.

“By the way,” he said to Cassie. “Thanks for saving me before. I’m not sure I would have been able to come up with anything quickly enough.” Jacob looked away for a moment. “Are you certain that Sai’s okay? I mean, it seemed pretty rash to just leave him there."

(okay I think I have the perfect way for jake to meet up with everyone)
The group followed behind the child and his Charmander, the small dimmed flame from the Charmander's tail slightly light the way room up enough for them to see each other and the bottom part of the hunchcrow. It was extremely dark and quiet, the sounds of water dripping from the ceiling from the stalactites echoed threw the second floor of the cave. The crew decided it be best to stay close to eachother, The boy in the front with his charmander seem to be slightly less fite then the other two and within an hour might need to take a break for food. Night was approaching fast outside, but without a glimpse of light shredding through the cave the young group couldn't tell what time it was or whether or not anyone was going to come look for them. What they did know is that every turn they face they seem to find someone new. They wondered if they will find any more wandering trainers in the Dark cave. Minutes went by, the group had traveled deeper and deeper into the cave. Screeching from wild Woobat rang past the trainers ears every once in a while. Chills riding up the backs and arms of trainers. They would need to take a break soon, maybe find broken pieces of wood or something in the cave to start a fire and dry off their dirty cloths. As the trainers kept walking, they had come across a fork, they made a quick right and happened to stumble upon a cave lake. the lake was filled with Chinchou and lanturn, and occasionally other water pokemon that would take inhabitant in a cave. The lights from the chinchou and lanturn light up the water giving it a soft light blue glow, a nice spot for our young travelers to rest and dry off maybe clean themselves a bit.

an hour before a lone trainer by the name of Jake had already made his stop by the lake and was rest along side it with his fakemon and lucario. Jake had been traveling on his own since, he was also almost drowned to death. He had also been chased by hyper onixs and Aggressive Solrock and Dwebble. Jake had to make a pit stop at this lake. When he sat down for his rest he realized that his ankles were swollen from intensive running and fighting. When he sat down by the late he took off his shoes and he slowly slide his feet into the clear water and relaxed, leaning his whole body back and falling asleep until the group managed to find him there.

Edited: (just noticed Isabella had joined so lemme include her as well.)

the young girl had fell down through a hole in the floor, she had landed on her butt with her Venasaur following right behind her crashing into her. She laughed it off and stood up noticing it was horribly dark in the cave and started to shake, the girl was afraid of dark places and also dark Pokemon. The girl cried out in fear but her Venasuar cuddled up to her giving her comfort, she threw out her pokeball it was an Ampharos, the sound of the pokemon being released from it's pokeball also echoed the 2nd floor of the cave. She had her pokemon use a special skill which light the back red bulb on its' tail to guide the young trainer around. She became frighten and hoped that someone was down here or at least come looking for her, she had wished for the boy that visited her town to come in and save her again. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a soft blue like glow coming from what seemed to be the middle of the cave and quickly ran out to it. she believed it to be people and hoped they had a way out of the cave.

Current status:
Sai: Unknown
Cassie: Group
Jacob: Group
Curt: Group
Jake: Slightly Injured, Asleep.
Isabella: 2nd floor, Alone.

Cassie was just about finished squeezing the water from her other glove when Lockjaw the Totodile decided to come join the party. He burst from his Pokeball and Cassie was curious to see how panicked he was. Totodiles she'd seen before always seemed so oblivious and happy... In fact, this one seemed to be having its own little panic attack. The ace trainer blinked and glanced questioningly at Ryu, Nine, and Fang, but they all looked back, just as puzzled.

Curt was trying his best to calm his Pokemon, but all his efforts seemed for naught, as the Totodile sprinted at breakneck speed towards the fork on the left. Well, that made choosing where to go easier at least. As Curt and Embertail disappeared into the fork after him, Cassie slipped her glove back on and returned Fang, thanking him for the excellent work he's done. She looked over at Jacob, mostly to study his reaction, and instead found him gesturing to follow along after Curt. Another source of light came when he released his Honchcrow and told it to fly ahead.

She'd just taken a step when Jacob turned back to her and thanked her for her efforts on the upper level. "You're welcome. I improvise most of the time, but it pays to train your thinking speed." During his pause, she quickened her steps to walk beside him, and then readily answered his question with a short laugh, "I didn't have much of a choice. He tossed me in before I could say anything." That wasn't true, but he didn't need to know that. "Sai looked like a tough trainer. He knows what he's doing."

But as Ryu gazed at her, she knew even she had her doubts.

The path onwards was cold and dark. With the occasional Woobat screech and flutter here and there. Cassie was soaked to the bone and she was shivering, however, she asked Nine to use his Will-O-Wisp for light instead. She hoped to see Curt somewhere ahead, because she'd hate to lose another trainer. Time seemed nonexistent there. But even so, her watch kept ticking, revealing how day had turned to night already. They'd need to take a break soon.

A fork in the road. The right path seemed brighter. "This way." She quickly said, turning to the right. Her choice had been correct, for at the end of the fork was a subterranean lake, lit by Lanturns and fillIith Chinchou. "Ohhh thank Arceus." She plopped right down on her bum, Nine curling up on her right while Ryu sat on her left. "I don't know about you guys, but I think this looks like the perfect rest stop."

She idly began to gather tuffs of fur shed by the Chincou until there was a medium-sized pile. She pulled out a Pokeball, "Come out, Jade!" The Roserade appeared in a dazzling flash, twirling about and showing off her bright petals. "Think you can supply some wood for a fire?"

Jade seemed to think for a moment before she grew small saplings with Leech Seed. "Perfect." Cassie began pulling out the saplings and looked to Nine. "Flamethrower." Happily, the Ninetales blasted a a stream of blistering flames on the pile of Chinchou fur, and then stacked it with the saplings. "Voilà!"

One hour earlier
"Ok lucario why don't we stop here it looks like the perfect place for us to wash off and sleep for abit" jake said as his pokemon created amall aura flames to act as some lighing around the cavern. he then slipped of his shirt and shorts to wash them in the lake, after a through wash he released his pokemon from their pokeballs to stretch, heal and sleep and laid his clothes flat for his charizard to dry. After his clothes were totally dry he slipped them back on and snuggled into the warmth created by his fire type. This was when jake noticed his ankles had doubled in size so he carefully removed his shoes and got his greninja to create ice shoes for him to rest his feet in
"Thanks greninja wake me up in a couple hours"
---one hour later---
"Jake, jake wake up" whispered lucario telepathically
"What is it?" Jake replied slowly stirring from his deep sleep
"We have company"
"What where!" Jake sprang straight up looking for signs of Pokemon hoards
"No not pkemon hoardes, trainers
"Ok that's ok then" jake replied as he returned the rest of his sleeping Pokemon to their pokeball and gathered his things "hello?!" He yelled as he approached the trainers as they entered the cavern "I'm jake"

Jacob sighed as he dropped down to the ground in front of the fire Cassie had just set up. It was nice to be able to relax after the stressful time he had just been having He stretched his neck, slowly twirling it around his torso. He stopped when he heard a “caw” from behind him. He turned to see his Honchcrow, Rover, flying behind him.

“Crow, Crooooowwwww, “ the pokemon warned before motioning back the way he had come. Jacob stood, and stepped forward, not completely understanding his pokemon at first. But when the Honchrow turned around and began to fly away, Jacob understood.

“Cassie, something’s happening with Curt. Let’s check it out” he said. Completely ignoring Jake who had begun to shout towards them, he followed Rover into the cave. They quickly came to the fork in the cave, and Jacob stayed close behind Rover as they turned in the opposite direction. It wasn’t long before they came to a slightly larger cavern.

There, stood Curt, Embertail, Flare, and a Dragonair Jacob had not seen before, and Lockjaw, all staring down a large Steelix. Jacob heard Curt’s yelling at the Steelix, and Jacob himself reached for his own pokeball. Throwing it on the ground, the pokeball released a flash of white light. Standing in front of him was Jacob’s Tangrowth, Atlas. The pokemon lumbered forward, releasing a low “Tangrowth!”

“Curt, I’ve got your back,” he shouted to his friend from across the cavern.

A sudden shout from over on the other side of the lake caught Cassie's attention more than Jacob's sudden sprint back down the fork. She peered as best as she could to see the silhouette of another trainer there. "Hold on!" She pulled out a Pokeball and once again released Ace. "Go, Ace! Help me across. Ryu, Nine, you wait here." The Swanna descended onto the lake and Cassie got on his back. Well, at least being petite had SOME advantages.

Quickly, they made their way over to Jake, Cassie hopping off once they neared shore. Ace stood by, floating on the lake while his trainer approached the stranger. "Hey there, Jake was it?" She held out her hand. "I'm Cassie." As usual, her eyes wandered, observing Jake from head to toe, and noticed one thing right away; "Your ankle is sprained." After he'd shaken her hand, Cassie grabbed his arm and slung it over her shoulders, helping him onto her Swanna and crossing with him back to the campfire. Ryu and Nine crowded around them, and observed cautiously as Cassie set him down. "Ryu, use Heal Pulse."

The Lucario's appendages rose, and he sent a healing wave to Jake, hopefully fixing up his ankle. "How's that feel?" As she said this, she also looked back to where Jacob had gone, figuring, he'll be fine.
