1 year after the events of Tekken 7...

Jin Kazama is fully recovered and ready to fight back against Kazuya Mishima. Lars Alexandersson is readying many other heroes, including Lee Chaolan and Alisa Bosconovitch. Many others sided with Kazuya, including Akuma. Many stayed neutral, like Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu. As for the others... including but not limited to Paul Phoenix, Ling Xiaoyu, Leroy Smith, King II, Kuma II, Asuka Kazama and Lili de Rochefort... they are searching for recruits in preparation for the final battle against Kazuya Mishima.​
