Hello, I haven't been on the site in a while, and I think I will start a role play, since I'm back. This story will be a Battle Frontier arc of sorts. A few trainers from any region have been invited to join the Battle Frontier Challenge. They have shown incredible battling prowess in their respective regions and brought to test their power. They would start in the Battle Facilities of Sinnoh and Johto, but could expand later on to other regions, such as the Battle Maison in Kalos, the Battle Facilities of Hoenn and Kanto, the Battle Tree of Alola, the Battle Tower in Galar, and the Black Tower and the White Treehouse in Unova. I think this could interest many people, so I just hope we have fun here!

Name: Dexter Estian

Home town+Home region: New Bark Town, Johto
Appearance: He is 5'8", with curly auburn hair, and has freckles. He usually wears black sweatpants and a casual t-shirt. He also wears casual tennis shoes and has turquoise glasses.
Personality: He is a nerd, always doing well in Pokemon School when he was younger. But his appearance may trick you, because he is a great battler. He is also classified as an empath, meaning he can feel the emotions of people around him. He can also be impulsive to others however, when people doubt him.
Backstory: He was bullied a lot when he was younger, leading to him having trust issues. His parents were supportive, but he couldn't get over the bullies. When he turned 10, he got his first Pokemon from Professor Elm. They didn't really trust each other at first, but they gradually started trusting each other. Dexter found his love for Pokemon and caught a lot. He did well on his journey, getting 8th place in the Johto League. He traveled to Kanto, getting 8th place there as well, Hoenn, where he got 4th place, Unova, where he got 4th place, and Sinnoh, where he got 2nd place. He did tremendous with his teams, and eventually got invited to the Battle Frontier Challenge, eagerly accepting. He decided to build a team of his strongest Pokemon to face the challenge
Pokemon:
Feraligatr: His trusty partner Pokemon that has never left his side throughout all of his travels
Moves: Hydro Pump, Surf, Crunch, Ice Fang

Lucario: His second in command Pokemon that senses emotions like he does. He recently caught it on his Sinnoan travels and the ace of that team.
Moves: Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere, Calm Mind, Bone Rush

Raichu: This was his first Kanto capture. With it's power, it was definitely his Kanto ace.
Moves: Thunder, Agility, Slam, Thunder Punch

Escavalier: Being the ace of his Unova team, it knows how to pack a punch. It didn't trust Dexter at first, but eventually got to know him and became a valuable member.
Moves: Megahorn, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Reversal

Houndoom: His second in command of his Johto team. Houndoom was very strong and a close contender for ace to Feraligatr.
Moves: Crunch, Fire Fang, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse

Tropius: This was his Hoenn ace. Just like Dexter, the appearance would trick you. Tropius may seem weak, but Dex made it into a powerhouse and the strongest on his Hoenn team.

Appearance: Dylan stands at 5'4 and has pale creamy colored skin. He has a squareish head and round hooded green eyes. He has a small nose that is slightly pointed towards the tip, it looks darker than his actual skin tone due to unpopped black heads. Dylan has soft blue hair that curls down and covers his forehead, it is rather wavy and reaches to his lower neck. He will occasionally put it in a small ponytail. He is skinny and weighs about 140-160 pounds. For clothing, Dylan wears black jeans with a white button up long sleeve shirt. He wears a pastal yellow sweater with Japanese letters on it. He wears black and white vans with yellow socks. The white button up cuffs stick out of the sweater.

Dylan is a drag queen. For his persona, Marge, he is fastened with a high ponytail and adorable blue and gold makeup. He usually wears fake eyelashes upon his face and popping red lipstick. Marge wears a poofy white dress with many many different bits of fluff. He wears it with black heels and a carries a bright pink purse.

Personality: Imagine Dylan as a hearty cat companion. He is there for you at times but will bite you if you get too close, however he will make exceptions for one person. He has little confidence but still tries his best, he is also very very stubborn. Dylan is a 23-year-old struggling artist who enjoys listening to the radio, recycling and walking. He is generous and friendly, but can also be very stubborn and a bit clingy.

He is British who defines himself as gay. He finished school and then left academia.

Description: Such as Neptune, Lus was caught during the time when Dylan walked the lands of Aloha. This pokemon is very much used a fighting pokemon.

Description: As the very first pokemon Dylan caught, this one holds a special place in his heart and hates to see it lose.

Appearance: Shiori weighs in at 6 ft and 175 lbs. He's got more of a lean body type, but being an actor in action and superhero-esque move roles has allowed him to build quite a bit of muscle. He has blue eyes. His hair is long, black, and scruffy, reaching mid-way down his back (think Radtiz from DBZ). His hair tends to floof out, so he usually keeps it in a ponytail. Clothingwise, Shiori prefers to keep it casual. Sunglasses, blue jeans, an unbutton long-sleeve t shirt with small Magikarp patterns on it, a green undershirt. Tennis shoes. When he battles, he switches into his 'Karpman' costume. This is a red tracksuit, with red boots and gloves. He also wears a black mask, a simple one that is basically a strip of black fabric with two holes poked in it. Shiori also carries a bag with some fishing gear in it.
Personality: Shiori has a little bit of an unusual flare. He has a flare for the dramatics, sometimes acting silly and over-the-top. But it's just for fun. Shiori tries to act in a heroic way, always trying to do what's right. Sometimes, though, his nervousness gets the best of him. Lately, he's been better with controlling his nervousness. While in battle, he acts different. There's no sign of nervousness, and his dramatic flair comes out a bit more. Has a natural affinity for water-types, and is unnerved by electric type Pokemon.
Backstory: Shiori was born into a poor family of fishers in Vermillion City. He didn't have much growing up, and eventually left to become a Pokemon Trainer in the hopes to make money for the sake of his family. But embarrassing loss after embarrassing loss proved to be too much for Shiori, as well as harassments from a self-proclaimed 'rival trainer'. Shiori's nervousness and anxiety got to a point where he would freeze up in battle, which compounded his losing streak even more. But still believing his family needed him, Shiori pressed on. Being a fan of shows like Power Rangers and superheroes, he created an alter ego for himself while he battled. Karpman, a hero for justice! With the assistance of his alter ego, he went on to become a better battle and competed in quite a few tournaments. While never coming out on top, he did well enough to earn a name for himself. A movie producer named Jean Pierre noticed Shiori at one of the tournaments, and offered to help him get into the movie industry. Shiori accepted, moving to Unova, and became a pretty well known actor. He also continued battling, training with the likes of the Unova Gym Leader Brycen. Taking a small break from movies, Shiori decided to try this Battle Frontier he has heard about.

Accepted! I have a question however. How many people should I take before I start and should I close the rp after I get enough people? I would say take 6 people, including me, and close it because it follows a storyline and a challenge that starts at a certain time, and by joining late, makes them far behind. However, tell me your opinions.

Appearance: Standing at 5'0, Kanade essentially has near chalk-white skin with occasional splotches of darker skin scattered around. Her eyes are cobalt blue, a natural occurrence she's not too bothered about. Her typical choice of clothing is a charcoal black polo shirt with a thin, white cardigan over it. Grey trousers and pure black shoes finish up the look, but there's also a moon shaped barrette in her waist length brown hair.
Personality: Truthfully, Kanade is very blunt and serious. She rarely tries to stack damage hard when she fights, only focusing on impressing anybody watching while also giving her opponent a rather harsh but slow beatdown. Most of the time Kanade is brutally honest to both Trainers and Pokémon, and she even admits most of the time that she's trying to help them improve despite sounding so harsh and blunt. It's just hard for her to show this, that's all.
Backstory: Kanade had a very simple life in Castelia City, often looking up to the City's leader for inspiration on what to do in life. She often felt a bit lost sometimes, and watching Burgh battle challengers was able to help her feel found again. So in the free time she had, she was off catching and training up a team in the Pinwheel Forest to at least try and challenge him one day. Luck came in the form of an open battling event which Kanade participated in, and Burgh had simply used a Swadloon in combat to counter her only Pokémon at the time: a Venipede. Despite winning, Kanade was simply blunt with herself and told herself things weren't going to get easier. While she was right, nobody really understands why she felt that way. From then, she simply focused on getting more powerful even though 'nothing would get easier'.

Appearance: Brian is a tall and lanky man with short, brown hair, pale skin, and two different-colored eyes (his left is blue and his right is green). He wears a light gray sweatshirt and black shorts.

Personality: He is chill and easily befriended, and puts those he cares about before himself. However, he's a bit airheaded and is often lost in thought. Brian is a jock, and takes great interest in sports.

Backstory: Brian lived in Anistar City with his parents and his little brother, who was four years younger. He was in the Anistar public school system for his entire life, and was one of the more popular students due to being a jock. However, despite Kalos being a great region as far as education, he wasn't a good student and had mainly Ds with the ocassional C or F. Brian's parents were never there to help him with his studies, since the family was rather poor, so they had to work two jobs each to keep a roof over their heads. This also meant Brian couldn't afford stuff that other kids had, meaning he would generally have to use his imagination. When he was 10, Brian recieved his first Pokemon from Professor Sycamore: a Chespin. Graduating from Trainer School with a 1.6 GPA, he did not go to college. Instead, he travelled to Johto and participating in the Johto League, placing 5th. Brian lived in Goldenrod for about a year, before travelling back to Kalos and placing 7th in the Kalos League. He also participated in the Hoenn and Unova Leagues, placing 3rd and 6th respectively. Despite the fact he doesn't care about battling that much, compared to just having a fun time, he was invited to the Battle Frontier Challenge, to which he happily accepted.

Chesnaught - His closest Pokemon, as well as his first ever Pokemon. Head of the team.

Kingler - Caught in Johto. Main physical attacker of the team because of his brutal Attack stat.

Ampharos - Caught in Johto. Brian found it alone in a bush and decided to take it with him, since it ddin't seem like anyone was caring for it.

Pyroar - Caught in Kalos when he went back. Main revenge killer of the team, and is also a speed demon.

Appearance: Edward has shining blonde hair and ocean blue eyes to compliment his hair. He has a fair complexion as well. Edward also is a little tall standing at 6’0 flat, Edward usually wears black long sleeve shirts with a white and black checkered flannel over it. He wears black jeans and boots for his usual attire. On the front of his flannel, he has a stickpin that holds his keystone.
Personality: Edward is a soft spoken individual. However, this doesn’t not mean he is a mean individual. Quite the opposite actually, willing to put himself in the line of danger. He is never a bully and is always easy to open up to.
Backstory: Living inside of Lumiose city is always something that a normal person in Kalos dreams about. That dream became a reality for Edward Camphier. Being raised in the city taught him a lot about the region and the world. At age 11, Edward received his first Pokémon, Lancelot the Ralts. However, unlike most trainers, Edward waited to name his Ralts. Eventually traveling to the Pokémon School, Edward was teased for his Ralts. Most kids thought it was to small and feminine looking for him. Edward told them that one day that Ralts will become a king. Little did they know, that would become true. As he grew he tried time and time again at the Battle Maison. Building more of a bond with his Ralts, then Kirlia, then eventually his Gallade. Catching more Pokémon and building bonds with each of them as well. At age 15 he picked up doing Trainer PR Videos. Little did he know that he would be a natural at that talent. Gaining widespread popularity around the Kalos region. Maybe even a little bit in other regions as well. Eventually receiving an invitation to the battle frontier, Edward accepted the invitation and got ready for his trip to Sinnoh.

Description: Edward’s first ever Pokémon. As a gift, Lancelot started as a Ralts. Edward kept good care of Lancelot and built a strong bond with this Pokémon. Holds a galladite on a pendant

Pokemon: Bisharp (Galland)
Description: The second Pokémon that Edward ever caught was his pawniard that would eventually become his Bisharp. He also has a close bond with Edward as well, but not on the scale that Lancelot has.

Pokemon: Escavilier (Galahad)
Description: A normal Escavilier that made Edward think about Jousting. Fitting that he would name a Pokémon that looks like it has Lances on it’s hands after a knight famous for this medieval sport.

Pokemon: Beedrill (Gareth)
Description: Seeing Beedrill’s hands made him think of two swords. Most knights did wield swords but one knight came to mind when naming his Beedrill, Gareth.

Pokemon: Aegislash (Excalibur)
Description: Being a fan of medieval themed stuff; seeing Aegislash sent Edward into a frenzy. Catching a Honedge and naming it the sword of a king was Edward’s mindset. And it fit really well.

Pokemon: Salamence (Rathelian)
Description: What are knights without a dragon? Simply put, not knights at all. So, Edward caught himself a Bagon that would eventually evolve into a Salamence. This one is the newest member of his team.

Appearance: tall, slim, with darker skin. His hair is Purple and is put into a ponytail (like Edward Elric lmao) and is also Draydens Adoptive son, though he keeps his biological families last name.
Personality: Dom is very cold hearted, but has a soft spot for his own Pokémon. He trains rigorously night and day, and has even surpassed Drayden in terms of strength.
Backstory: Dom has lived in Opelucid city since he was born, and his parents were already good friends with drayden. He used to be very eccentric and energetic, but after his parents tragically died in the Opelucid Attack by team plasma when he was younger, his demeanor has completely changed. The only person he speaks to on a regular basis anymore are his Adoptive Father, Drayden, Iris, his adoptive sister, and his childhood friend (not gonna be in the forefront of the story but if I should make a small bio for him I will)

Appearance: Basically gen 5 psychic trainer in different clothes. Wears a black shirt, a purple Gengar jacket, white pants, and black sneakers.
Personality: Ridley has an…interesting taste in Pokemon. He seems to only use ones with certain gimmicks to them. He claims it makes battling more fun for him, but he doesn't actually use them much in battle, preferring to watch people battle instead. He's a very passive individual, and often won't seek out social interaction by his own choice.
Backstory: Ridley was an odd person his whole life. He never talked to people much and never had many friends. Instead, he liked to just watch people go about their business around him. He often traveled to different cities in Unova to see the different routines people had. He also watched Pokemon interact with each other in his local routes. Out of all Pokemon, he liked watching misfit ones, ones that acted differently from the other species in the area. He grew fond of them, and he got an egg from Clay, the Driftveil City gym leader. When it hatched into a Wynaut, he decided to go further abroad. His other Pokémon, Spinda and Shedinja, joined him because they followed him around. He did give them their own Poké Balls eventually.

(Dozer) Spinda–Always at least a little confused as to what's going on. It's not uncommon for him to just wander off, even in battle.

(Steep) Shedinja–Just wants to take a nap. Barely does anything outside of battle, and will follow random people around.
