Resident Furry
OoC: Private RP between myself and Soren.
BiC: It had been twenty-four hours since his capture. Nick Anderson sat on the small bed in the far end of his equally small cell. He wasn’t sure exactly where he was, nor why he was here. The last thing he remembered, he was in the middle of winning streak in a game of blackjack in a high end casino. Something had smacked him, hard, and he passed out. When he woke up, he was here.
The Halfer’s gray fur was disheveled, and he had more then a few small cuts running along his body. Luckily, he had been left with both his black three quarter pants and scarf to wear. To most, from far away, Nick looked like a cougar on its hind legs. The closer people got, the more they could see that he actually had a human’s body frame, just with the ears, muzzle, and tail of a mountain lion added on. He was a freak in this world, and he feared what might happen to him because of it.
There was a shackle on his leg, attaching him to the edge of his cell via a short chain. He wasn’t able to move very far from his bed. Though this allowed him some comfort, he wished he could at least pace around the room. All he could do was sit and wait for what ever was going to happen next.
Suddenly, the door to his cell opened, and a large man with a handgun walked in. He shot the chain, making Nick jump a bit. With the chain no longer connected to the wall, Nick considered making a break for it. However, the man’s gun made him think otherwise. He was forced to his feet, with the shackle and what remained of the chain still attached to his leg, and led out of the room.
The hallways were dark to the point that Nick could barely see where he was going. The man continued to lead him down the corridor, the muzzle of the gun shoved roughly into his back. When ever the man wanted him to turn, the gun was twisted, adding to the pain. After a few minutes, a light appeared. The two of them drew near it, until, finally entering a room with nothing but a skylight for a ceiling.
The light was blinding to the point that for a few moments Nick could barely see. The man pushed him further into the room, toppling him. Then he left, leaving the Halfer behind. A door of some sort slammed shut behind him. As soon as his vision returned, Nick could see he was in a coliseum-like area. The ground was covered in sand, and there were high walls separating him from a huge crowd that appeared to be roaring silently. After staring at the crowd for a moment, he could tell that there were behind glass. It appeared that he was going to be forced to fight.
There was an indent in the wall near the now sealed door. On which, a familiar weapon awaited him. Somehow, these people had gotten a hold of his Accuracy International Arctic Warfare Magnum, a sniper rifle. At least he had something familiar to use.
High above the crowd, a man stood up. He appeared to be speaking something to the audience, who all fell silent while he stood. After a few seconds, what he said was broadcasted through a speaker for Nick to hear.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for coming. Today marks the grand opening of this coliseum. Here two freaks of nature shall battle to the death, providing you all entertainment. After all, what else could they be good for?”
The crowds roar came through the speakers for a moment, before they shut off again. The man sat back down, and motioned for Nick to look towards the other side of the room. Over there, his opponent had already arrived. How long could he have been there? Nick had no way of knowing, only that if he wanted to survive, he’d have to kill who ever it was.
