Damian made a half glance toward Delilah who still had fists raised towards the self proclaimed doctor, then acknowledged her Beedrill who did little more than twitch his antennae seemingly in notice of the new person.
“Yeah…” Delilah said in agreement with Damian’s assessment, even though she barely comprehended what he was talking about. “Plus, didn’t you say something about vertebrae? Isn’t that like a plant thing? How can we trust someone who doesn’t even know if they're a doctor or a botanist?”
Damian looked back toward her, knowing she was wrong in what she assumed she knew about plant life and anatomy. He dismissed it however and kept careful eyes trained on Nevashi, they had seemingly calmed and were no longer stern browed.
He fanned himself with his hands, "dearie me I think this jungle just got even hotter under these dreadfully intense stares. I assure you two I mean you no harm. I am in the profession of saving lives, not taking them." He smiled further and fluttered his eyelashes, "beside who would want to harm two cuties like you." His expression was broken by another wince of pain as he muttered, "make that the L3 as well."
Damian was a little caught off at the word 'cutie'. What an odd thing to say to someone whom you had just met, especially in a situation like this. Then the doctor noticeably showed a face of pain, stating another bone had been broken.
He looked over towards Delilah, "sorry let me rephrase that. I am fairly certain I fractured a couple bones in my back and I hit my head really really hard. So if you don't allow me to do something about it in a moment I am afraid I might not be the best of conversational company. I would hate to pass out on you after all as it would be terribly bad manners."
"If one of you two would be a sweetheart and take that pokeball off my belt, I am rather sure that Kiwi can fix this situation rather quickly." The Dr.s eyes finally settled on Ecarte and Mina. "Oh my stars, is that Mademoiselle Willamina and the dashing Ms. Ecarte. My how she has grown ow..ow..ow." Erejast had clasped his hands together and raised them up as he spoke before another spasm was sent through his back. His smile hid his worry at seeing a child like Mina caught up in this.
Upon his notice of Ecarte and Mina Damian felt sure he could trust the man. The Doctor must have met them some time before the tournament which meant he was in the hotel. This also gave a slim chance of it being one of the team rocket grunts that shoved everyone into the wilderness unconscious.
Ecarte walked over and seeing Erejast smiled and then called out a greeting, "Garte..." Then she realized what the other two trainers were about to do. "Orion don't hurt him, he is a friend. Please stop Damien, before he does anything drastic." Ecarte then moved swiftly interposing her body between Delilah and Erejast. "Garte... Garte..." She would be more worried about the trainer's than the Dr., but she knew he would never defend himself if they attacked. He had sworn off violence years ago.
Orion walked past Nevashi, being careful not to brush him in case it would cause any discomfort, then simply looked toward Damian. Admittedly, Damian had been confused for a moment, but assumed Orion felt no sudden sense of danger from the feminine man at the moment either.
"So, you just woke up? It's amazing the other pokemon haven't gotten to you yet." Damian stated as he reached toward Nevashi's waist, and grabbing the pokeball. He was unsure if he was meant to let the pokemon contained in it out himself so he just placed the ball in one of the Doctor's hands, then backed up toward Delilah. He was at least 99% sure Nevashi was safe, but he'd just met him so, suspicion is sort of becoming a habit.
Orion stood beside Ecarte, whom still held the sleeping Mina.
Damian took a quick glance over his shoulder back at Delilah and offered a small smile. If anything were to happen, he felt it best she know that he was semi over their brief argument.
