It was just like any other day. Most people were planning for their long weekend to celebrate the hard work they've accomplished. Most government workers and military bases were empty.
Everything was great until two dozen ships of unknown origin appeared in the sky. They didn't ask for anything as they sent soldiers to attack key positions across the United States and nowhere else. While it seemed strange it lead the higher ups to believe that they were looking for something
One thing was clear to the inhabitants of earth they were not alone in the universe.
The others
From various reports the others seemed to look like humans though with pale white hair. The reports also stated that these beings could fly and fired what looked like blue beams from their hands.
