Warning, this thread may contain graphic violence and adult language. If any of these things offend you of you shouldn't read anything like that, then this RP isn't one for you.

Okay folks, i've been toying with this idea in my brain for quite some time now.. I'm sure many people here know one or two things about Greek religion. And I'm sure a majority of you know this from reading Percy Jackson. Well the idea of gods walking among us, well as in Greek Gods still existing, fascinates me. So here is the plot summary.

Long ago, legends were told of great monsters untold evils, and mighty gods. But then it all stopped. But why? Maybe due to it being a dying religion, and just a sipe explanation for everyday life. Or maybe a more rational approach. The gods are dead. Well not dead as in stuck in hell, but more of in eternal binding. A long time ago, Hades went out of control using a forbidden dark energy, that originated from his father Kronos. He used that power to topple Olympus. The Gods fought back, and when all hope was lost it took te combined efforts of Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Hera, Hephaestus, Apollo, Artemis, Athena, Dionysius, Hermes, and Aphrodite to seal him away using their own life force as the chains that bound Hades. Several millennium passed, and Hades used a small bit of strength to kill Dionysius and Hera, and letting himself be freed to the mortal realm. However he had been gone to long and could never return in the same form. so he was reincarnated in a mortal form, with no memories of who he was. When the remaining Gods heard of this, they did the same thing, all being reincarnated into new baby forms and like Hades were mortal. Followers of the darkness raised Hades, helping him cultivate his powers and informing him of who he is. they placed a seal on the other gods powers making hem normal. 25 years have passed, and mortal God's powers broke through the curse allowing a spirit of their former selves to guide them. Now they are being hunted by hades, and his evil spirits of shadows.

Phew. Okay so when creating a character, use some common sense on what they act like nd there powers. don't make Aphrodite an ugly hag, and don't have Zeus as actve swimmer. Use their powers and abilities to guide their character. Also, the sports normally take animal forms and can only be seen by you and other gods incarnates. Okay so now for the rules.

RULE 1: All RP rules apply here. That should be a given and i you haven't read them yet, I recomend ou stop reading this and read them first
RULE 2: Grammer is a very important part of this thread. Having the occasional mistake or to is fine, but i expect, overall decent grammer.
RULE 3: Violence Oh sweet violence. Violenc is tolerated on this thread. There will be a lot of fighting in this thread. A lot. But again don't go overboard. The majority of the creature we fight will be shadows. When they are killed there s no blood.
RULE 4: Romance is alowed, but have it make sense. Again, dont go overbord with it, and don't force romance on another OC. If they don't want their character to be madly in love with yours, don't force it
RULE 5: The word fear use be in your character bio. If not you won't be accepted.
RULE 6: Gods can die, escpally due to these guys being god reincarnate. They aren't at full power also so don't just assume if you are Posideon's reincarnated form, ou can move the entire ocean with out breaking a sweat.
RULE 7: Ages can be from age 15-25. However, Hades will be age 25, because thats when all of this started.
RULE 8: They are in modern times. So yeah, there are guns, but you wouldn't find a sword laying around in the streets. Again for added realism they are in New York City, present day. so remember that when posting.

Original Form: Hephaestus
Powers: He is a mechanic first of all. he can easily build things with nothing but a few tools and some scraps. Also he has it immunity, and can shoot jets of fire from his hands.
Appearance: He isn't very handsome and is always dirty and greasy. He has black oily hair and tanned skin. He wears a grey patched up denim jacket, and brown trouser. He wears a stained white t-shirt.
Personality: Very independent. He isn't very open to strangers. He doesn't really care about his apperance.
Backstory: When he was a young boy of about 6, his mother abandoned him, and he was raised by a man who worked at a garage. The man acted more like a father then anyone else, giving him a way to go to school and teaching him his trade of being a mechanic.
Spirt Form's appearance: A small orange fox.
Extra: He has a deep seated fear of girls, and his mind freezes around a pretty one.

Powers: Ravenna has many skills in different types of combat. Because her original form was the goddess Athena, Ravenna is quite intelligent and wise. Her other powers aren't as useful like being able to weave well but still can be used.
Appearance: Ravenna keeps her appearance neat and simple. She is a bit taller than the average girl her age with fair skin, Jet black hair worn in a bun, and stormy grey eyes. Her outfit consists of a simple, plain white shirt that sleeves stop at the elbows. She wears a black skirt with black flats. She also has a small, golden owl necklace. She considers herself pretty, but not beautiful.
Personality: Ravenna was raised to be a perfectionist and that's what she is. She gets angry when things do not go they way She thinks they should. But she isn't all perfection. She has a soft side she tends to hide because she thinks it makes her weak.
Backstory: Ravenna grew up with strict parents who always tried to make their daughter as perfect as possible. She got straight A's, She spoke many languages, She could play a variety of instruments, but She hated that she had do live to this perfect standard. It's not she wasn't okay with perfection, but she wanted to be like that by her own rules. Tired of her life she ran away to a friend of her's who lived in the mountains when she was 16.

Original Form: Ares.
Powers: Jake has a natural affinity for all weapons, he could just as easily use a sword as he could operate an attack helicopter. This makes him a fierce fighter which couples well with his natural violent tendencies. Other than that he gets physically stronger the more enraged he becomes.
Appearance: Despite what you might expect from the previous god of war Jake isn't actually very tall, standing at about 5ft 9. That being said he is muscular, hours upon hours of hard work have given him an athletes body. His eyes are an oddly soft brown colour that have flecks of green closer to the edges. He has dark, thick eyebrows that he can utilize to give a stony scowl. His hair is cut on the short side and is such a dark shade of brown that people often think its black. As for clothes its a simple pair of denim jeans, a black Metallica shirt and a leather jacket worn over it all. He wears a pair of metal bracelets around each wrist and has metal capped military style boots. Around his neck hangs a simple chain with a single bullet attached to it.
personality: Nowadays Jake is a confident and brash figure, not the kind of guy who would shy away from any sort of challenge. He has always been somewhat of a trouble maker but he always claims its not him looking for trouble, trouble comes looking for him. Jake thoroughly enjoys a good fight and will deal out punishment to anybody he deems worthy of it but that doesn't mean he will just go picking a fight with random people in the street. No, instead he likes to pick those who he sees as bad, those who commit deeds he personally views as wrong. Physical violence isn't the only kind he enjoys, watching people pick themselves apart after a bit of manipulation is equally fun. All this being said he isn't proud of how he acts and wishes he was more of an intellectual in moments of sad reflection.
Backstory: Dumped at the door of an orphanage at a very young age Jake spent most of his years in foster homes, going from temporary parent to temporary parent. He was originally a kind hearted and sweet little lad who was easily taken advantage of by the older kids. One day when he was about 8 it al became too much and he snapped. In a fit of rage he broke the leg of a 15 year old who had bullied him for years with a baseball bat. After this it seemed he would never get adopted. And he didn't. He did however get a job behind the bar of the local motorcyclists club, "The hounds of war". The place became a home in itself to him and he now lives there, the owners having converted a single room into a small living space for the boy.
Spirit Form's Appearance: A grizzly bear.
Extra: Has a soft spot for cats. Their cute, dont judge. Fear them.

Apperance: Apollo was depicted as a handsome,loveable guy.But,Ayden is quite the opposite.He was usually bullied for the ugly cuts and bruises from fights he would be in.He usually rocks a simple t-shirt,a track jacket,and normal jeans.He is fairly short at a height of 5'5".He is very thin and is a little dark.Although,his eyes has a very light blue color.
Personality: Ayden was a bad kid and was avoided for that.But,he has a creepy side and is very strange.His smirk would always be on his face and it scared people.In school,he would fight people for bullying him and it gave him a slightly tough soft.
Backstory: Ayden grew up in a bad house.His mom was a drug addict and his dad was an alcoholic.He would be mentally and physically abused by his parents.So,he would avoid his house and stay to the streets.He would deface buildings with graffiti.As a way to get money,he sold stolen stuff.When chased after him,he would run and never get caught.When he learned about why he didn't caught,everyone said,"A bright flash that could blind you."

So I'm gonna allow two characters per person. To keep things moving. So here's the god of hell himself, Hades

Name: Hector Ramirez
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Original form: Hades
Powers: Can create shadow minions to fight for him. Maniplualte shadows to form things for him to use. He can make swords, shields, chairs, with ease. He can destroy people with ease, can read the sins in their hearts to find there true weakness.
Apperance: Hector has pitch black hair that is greased back. Dark tanned skin and black eyes. He wears a gold chain around his neck, along what tight v-necks. He wears black skinny jeans. He has a black pistol with the words devil carved into the handle, in a holster on his leg. He wears a black overcoat occasionally when he acts business like. He always wears a pair of shades to cover his eyes.
Personality: He is the reincarnation of pure evil so don't expect sympathy from him. He's cruel and quick to kil anyon who goes gains him. he has a large amount of respect from mortals who don't even know who this guy really is.
Backstory: Hector was kidnapped by a group of Hades worshippers when he was young. They tested him, trying to bring out his powers. They told him of who he was and what he could do. Then one day his powers broke loose killing his captors and hitting the streets. Hector started off smal and his gang territory grew, until after a while he ended up as the most powerful gang lord in New York, with control of most of the city.

Extra: He feasts on fear.

Now this guy may seem borderline Mary Sue/Godmodding, which was my intention. He will be the main force against the other gods. He will eventually be defeated, but he won't be easy. He's the main antagonist for goodness sakes.

Name: Morgan Seabrooke
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Original Form: Artemis
Powers: As the reincarnate of the Greek goddess of the moon and hunting, Morgan has superior night vision and is a relatively decent shot when it comes to using her weapon of choice: a pistol (non-lethal) crossbow. She has a natural affinity for tracking both animals and people, with much emphasis on the former.
Appearance: Morgan possesses a relatively lithe figure, standing at about 5' 6". Her skin, which has barely felt the touch of the sun, is bruised and battered from constant misjudgments on her part. A shock of wavy ginger hair erupts from her skull, reaching just past her shoulders. A pair of grey-framed glasses correct her farsightedness, by some miraculous even having not been broken by her recklessness. Her attire is simplistic in nature: a green t-shirt coated in a fine layer of dog hair, a pair of baggy denim jeans with deep pockets, and brown shoes with relatively sturdy grips on the bottoms. Her eyes are an icy blue, her chilly stare carrying over from her former state as a Greek diety.
Personality: Similar to her former self, Morgan is brave (to the point of stupidity) and stubborn, hardly ever changing her opinion once she gets an idea in her head... even if it's not rational or definitely won't work. Not everything has to be rational, after all, and she'd be extremely blunt about telling anyone else that. However, that isn't to say she didn't have a few personality shifts. As opposed to being nimble, mysterious, intimidating, and pessimistic as Artemis once was; Morgan is moreso an optimistic prankster whose leadership skills are equivalent to a toddler trying to herd a kindle of apathetic cats. She believes that she is unique as her own person, which may pose serious problems when it comes to learning her true heritage.
Backstory: Morgan's upbringing was deceptively normal. For the majority of her life she was raised by her father with his dogs, her mother on business trips more often than not. When she was younger, her father used to take her on his fabled hunting endeavors, amazed by her tracking skills even then. However, she was always heartbroken when she had to watch the dogs bring back limp rabbits in their jaws. Therefore, she developed a policy of non-lethality, refusing to do the dirty work when it came to animals. When the moon rose, Morgan would often peer out of the windows, staying awake as long as she could afford to (which often involved coffee, spending time with Bear (an Irish Setter), and video games) just to bask in the night. Needless to say, she is always tired in the morning.
Spirit Form's Appearance: The spirit appears to be a stag similar to Artemis's Golden Stag from legend, albeit sliver as opposed to gold. However, it's true colour is definitely up for debate.
Extra: Morgan has a severe case of trypanophobia (fear of needles) which is kind of stupid considering all of the other stupid crap she puts herself through.

EDIT: I somehow managed to screw up some of these sentences, and therefore decided to edit it before it bothered me too much.

Yeah, but name what the powers will be, for the majority of the RP. So the flaming fist with Ry and the guys in the alley, it was triggered by anger and a boost from Hephaestus. And for naming reasons, let's just call the spirits the name of the god you represent. Cause they are part of the god.

Original Form: Zeus
Powers: Manipulation of lightning, minor weather manipulation (changes with emotions), voice mimic.
Appearance: Fairly tall standing at 6'1, fair skin, average build, short messy light brown hair and green eyes. Usually wears a long sleeve black shirt, dark blue jeans, black shoes with white trim. Has glasses but doesn't like to wear them.
Personality: Levi is fairly distant but not from shyness. He's actually very charismatic, he simply isn't a fan of most people. He's very sympathetic but doesn't like to show it. He's very strong headed and will do what it takes to prove he's right. He loves big thunderstorms.
Backstory: His mother left after he was born so he lived with his father, who was a trucker. Because of his fathers work he's been forced to move around a lot as a child. Levi discovered his abilities accidently at the age of 13 after having an argue with his father. (His dad doesnt know of his Levi's abilities). Now that he's 17 his dad trusts him to stay out of trouble. He lives along and doesn't really have many friends as he does not relate to others well.

Extra: Levi has a power complex and hates being told what to do.

I'm setting it up, where the spirits know where the other spirits are and are trying to get the reincarnates together. So i'd say, just have your spirit lead you to the others.

@Ice Devil , could you fix the whole no spaces in your writing thing? It's the only thing wrong with it and it is an easy thing to correct. Also am I the only one here who thinks it was really out of character the way our Apollo reincarnate crushed a human skull under his foot and smiled about it? I only bring it up because it was in the rules that your characters persona had to make sense with what they were a reincarnate of.

Your still not putting spaces between your sentences. And yeah I get that it was your character but your character is meant to be Apollo at least at a base level not....some psychopathic loonie. I mean Apollo is the god of the poems and stuff man, that was just way too Hades or Ares esque is what I'm saying.

Well still, godly influences should exist, but shouldn't create a total shift in character, as of yet. But later on our characters should probably act more like their respective gods.
However, @Ice Devil, actually as a key personality trait of Apollo. Pride. That is a huge part of Apollo. We need to gave bits of their god's character poking through.

I'll just add my two cents here.
Quite honestly, I'm not in a position to dictate how other characters act (Morgan's definitely OOC considering her god, whoops), but maybe you could just add some interests relating to Apollo? Like maybe he really likes poems? (Which could work out with his graffiti thing, people would wake up confused as to why the first line of "The Raven" was elegantly vandalized on their building).
Overall though, the reincarnate characters are all okay in my eyes because again, they're reincarnates. They all carry traits of their past selves, even though they do so in different amounts, and isn't that good? If they were too much like their gods, wouldn't that not leave any room for character development? Plus, in Greek mythology, a lot (and I mean a lot) of the gods were portrayed with a couple different personalities, so who knows.

You're forgetting that Apollo was also the Greek god of art,as well.That's where the graffiti comes from.Also,in my form,it said my character was good at playing instruments.But,I don't know how to incorporate that,yet.

This is all true. We need to reveal in a sense enough character traits to reveal which god it is, without forgetting the fact that they are in a sense the new versions of them. Which most people have been doing, in a sense putting their own twist in the God they are portraying, and I like that.

Appearance: Wears a blue vest and pants, and black shirt and shoes. Has brown hair with a blue streak to the right of his face. He has one regular blue eye and one azure blue.
Personality: Solitary, self-reliant, unsure
Backstory: An orphan who appeared floating on a lake 16 years ago, Aqua was taken in by Ms. Garder and raised as a part of the Garder family. However, he has recently learned he is not a member of their family by birth. Having learned of his first appearance, the man has set out to discover his true origins.

Well at the moment, we are in a bar, filled with dead bodies, have been attacked by Hades' Minions, and have been giving an invitation for lunch at Hector's house. Whom is Hades.
