Private/Closed The Journey (Discussion/Sign-Ups)

Hi, all! This will be a classic tale of the adventures of a few friends in the world of Pokemon, traveling together to reach their personal dreams and aspirations and helping one another grow along the way. It will take place in the current anime timeline, so everything up to that point may be considered canon for this story up to and including established rules, events, locations, Pokemon, and characters. However, it should be noted that this story can and will involve mature and possibly triggering content as we will be dealing with themes including violence, relationship conflicts (familial, romantic, or otherwise), illness, romance, personal struggle, and death. Of course, it won't constantly be so doom and gloom!

As for the setting, our story begins on a frosty November morning in Sandgem Town, Sinnoh. Whether you're a new trainer just starting out or getting a late start on your journey, a passing traveler, a bored shopkeeper who dreams of adventure, or a vacuum salesperson is up to you. This is the place where all our characters will meet and set off on their travels from, in a region where seemingly random disappearances, grand larceny, and murder are instances occurring and being broadcast by the news with alarmingly increasing frequency. Whether our heroes will follow in the footsteps of previous public defenders or carry on about their lives has yet to see the light.

I'm looking for those who are able and willing to write about all of the above and more, to bring different perspectives and life to the story, who are deeply descriptive, creative, great at storytelling and improvisation, and eager to have fun. We all hate those boring and bland one-liner posts. Preferably those who are able to post several times a week are wanted most, or at the very least able to plot with us in our soon-to-be-established group chat, but I understand activity can be tricky as I'm busy myself. Yet the goal of this is to have a long-lived and exciting storyline, and we can't do that unless we communicate. This is a premise you've heard before, but hopefully its execution will exceed the expectations of all involved. Thanks for reading, and hope you join!

Rules:

1. No Legendaries will be seen or encountered or caught throughout the duration of this RP without first talking to the group. Any violation of this rule will be reported to higher authority and banned from role-playing.
2. No Auto-ing. (Forcing a hit on another players Pokemon) It's okay to lose sometimes, guys. Encouraged, even!
3. Levels won't exist in the story, but please don't be an overpowered Mary Sue/Marty Stu especially if your character is a lil' tween. We're going for relative realism here. Speaking of...
4. No Mary Sues/Marty Stus. Because lame. You're bringing characters to life with your writing, so give them flaws, goals, make them interesting and fun!
5. Each player is allowed as many characters as they can handle as long as they mesh well with the story, and are also encouraged to play up some NPCs as well.
6. Romance is cool, just follow site rules!
7. Making friends is always nice and should always be a top priority when going on a journey, but if your character is a natural loner at first then feel free to have them away from the group from time to time.
8. No bullying and I mean that in totality. What is the point on hammer-arming on someone because of their choices in the game or outside of it? If it bothers you, talk to them about it respectfully or send a message to myself or an administrator. Bullying is not tolerated and will be responded with harsh consequences.
9. 17+ players are wanted most, but younger may also apply if they are mature enough to follow rules and guidelines.
10. Please try to use proper spelling and grammar whenever possible!
11. Possibly the BIGGEST rule of role-playing... make sure you and everyone else is having fun. Thanks for reading!

Application:

Name:
Gender (If applicable):
Hometown:
Age (Due to the nature of the story, please have your characters be at least 16 years of age):
Appearance (Please include physical and default outfit descriptions):
Brief Bio:
Pokémon (If applicable, at most 2 at beginning of story): Species, Nickname, Gender, Ability, Special Features.

Mine, as an example:

Name:
Felix Reyes
Gender: Male
Hometown: Celadon City, Kanto
Age: 18
Appearance: Stands at 5'10 with a lean, slightly muscled build from years of sports. He has short brown curly hair, upturned hazel eyes, and cinnamon-colored skin. Casual wear is relatively simple and includes a simple black t-shirt, black shorts, black and white sneakers and a similarly colored light zip-up jacket. He keeps extra supplies in a black traveling backpack with his sleeping bag tucked in neatly on top.

Brief Bio+Personality:

Since the day he could crawl, Felix had always been exploring. From the inside of the washing machine to the top branches of trees, he loved adventure. When he was young, he would always imagine he had his own team of Pokemon to help ward off the invisible army of enemies that lived in the alleys and parks of Celadon City, the place where he grew up. He liked to think he had a fairly okay childhood, void of his father though it was, yet he seldom seemed to even acknowledge that fact. Felix had a habit of pushing his negative feelings away rather than dealing with them outright, and though his mother attempted to help with that, he refused. He always kept himself distracted somehow, either by going to the beach with his friends or family, having battles around his city, or by simply dreaming of doing something more.

The day he first became a trainer and met Balerion was his dream come true, and for a few weeks the boy actually gained some decent experience for himself. Yet in time he found himself returning home to help his mother take care of his two younger sisters. He never forgot his short travels, though, and was eager to pick up where he had left off - and he eventually was lucky enough to get the opportunity once more. This time, Felix wanted to go abroad, take risks, meet new people, learn new customs; and after saving up, he did just that. He was heading off to Sinnoh.

Pokémon:

Charmeleon (aka Balerion), Male, Blaze ability, and no special features.

Aron (aka Titan), Female, Sturdy ability, no special features.

I might modify this but... here's the basic outline.

Name
:
Iskra 'Falco' Sokolova
Gender (If applicable): female
Hometown: Lumiose City, Kalos
Age: 18, almost 19
Appearance: Stands at 5'7, average build. Iskra has her light brown, straight hair cut to her shoulders, and dark blue eyes always glaring. She wears a brown pilot jacket, white shirt underneath, jeans, and boots; Carries her aviator goggles and hat with her everywhere, and sometimes keeps either on her head even when unnecessary. She keeps everything she needs in a large brown backpack, and has a small, talonflame-shaped pin on the right side of her jacket.
Brief Bio: Iskra grew up in a well known, higher class family in Lumiose City, with parents she loved, but who were extremly controling. From a young age, she knew the life planned out for her wasn't the one she wanted. She dreamt of adventures and exploration, and Pokemon battles, not piano recitals and formal parties. Her parents never approved of her wishes, so, at 14, Iskra decided to run away from home. Packed her bags, cut her hair, and set off on her own path. As of now, she still hasn't talked to her parents, but she has contact with her older sister, four years older than her.
Iskra's first few months were spent in Kalos, where she collected three badges. She caught her first Pokemon there, a Fletchling she nicknamed Fyodor, and a Skiddo nicknamed Bors. Fyodor quickly became Iskra's strongest Pokemon, and is the one that she never takes out of her roster. She never mentioned her family, nor her name. It was in Kalos she got the nickname 'Falco', after people found out about her heritage, and because of her signature Pokemon.
Iskra then decided to get out of Kalos, as her secret was out. She took a ferry to Johto, and continued her adventure there, keeping the nickname Falco, chose to give out her real name only to the people she bonds with, not that it has ever happened. She keeps a cold exterior.
As of now (the beginning of this RP), Iskra collected three badges in Kalos, six in Johto, and four in Kanto, and wants to try her luck in Sinnoh. She caught around 20 Pokemon, but she sends most to her sister's house, only carrying Fyodor with her.

Pokemon

Her trusty Fyodor, a male Talonflame. His ability is Flame Body. He has a scar on the bridge of his beak, and across his left eye, which hinders his sight a bit. Iskra uses him to fly around.

Iskra also caught a Misdreavus upon coming to Sinnoh. Her nickname is Katya, ability Levitate. No special features.

Name:
Riley Ramsey
Gender:
Male
Hometown:
Slateport City, Hoenn
Age:
19
Appearance:
Riley is a cool 6'1" with a rather muscular frame, though with a rather skinny belly. Most of the time he can be seen cleanly shaven though that pretty much the only thing clean about him. His hair is black, short, and extremely messy. His typical outfit consists of navy blue hoodie (or gray jacket), black sweatpants, and basic white tennis shoes. His skin has a caramel tone to it while his eyes are dark brown. Riley also carries around a duffel bag that usually contains food, water, clothes, a sleeping bag, and bathroom products.
Brief Bio:
Riley grew up for most of his young life in Slateport City. His mother was a dedicated contest participant and his father worked as a sailor. When he became old enough, Riley started working at the local Pokemon Contest Hall at the front desk. People constantly explained how cute and adorable he was at such a young age to his mother, which he grew sick of rather quickly. He worked there until he turned 17, which is when he decided to leave home and become a drifter. As a goodbye gift, his father gave him a Mudkip and he set off towards the Lilycove City department store to stock up on supplies. After that, Riley took a cruise and set sail for Sinnoh, where he would begin his life as a drifter, living on his own and doing odd jobs for cash. Through his travels, he encountered a group of Scraggy harassing a Teddiursa. Milk Dud the Mudkip valiantly fought off the Scraggys , evolving in the process. The Teddiursa graciously decided to join the duo in their adventures.
Pokémon:
Marshtomp, Milk Dud, Male, Torrent, No special features
Teddiursa, Grace, Female, Pickup, No special features

Name: Xavier Cross
Gender: Male
Hometown: Nacrene City, Unova
Age: 21

Appearance: Xavier is a short, average weight man with almost no muscle. His caramel hair isn't well-groomed, but he is completely unable to grow facial hair on his slightly tanned face. He usually wears extra-sturdy glasses which cover his brown eyes. In addition, he usually wears a loose white t-shirt, tan cargo pants, and dirty combat boots. He carries a backpack with travel versions of supplies, a thick jacket, an umbrella, and extra clothes. The most interesting thing, however, is a prototype watch with a few exposed wires. It currently functions as an X-transceiver or whatever the regional variant is.

Brief Bio: Xavier was born to Isaac and Annabelle Cross on September 26th. His mother, a Pokemon breeder specializing in ditto, and his father, an arithmetic teacher, are still alive and well to this day. When most of his classmates had left early to fulfill dreams of going on a journey (as most young kids do), Xavier stayed behind. He likes to say it was to "continue his studies", which is partially true, but he was mostly just afraid of homesickness.

Of course, he did receive his first Pokemon: a Beldum. An off-color one, to be exact. This Beldum was eventually trained by him to assist with his anxiety. As a very intelligent creature, it eventually grew to comfort him in his trials. He finished his training in order to be a scientist, but never left his friend. They traveled the region and grew together. However, despite being his partner and friend, he had to leave them behind to travel and grow. And so, he traveled to the Sinnoh region to begin one of many journeys.

Pokémon:
Species: Tyrunt
Nickname: N/A.
Gender: Female
Ability: Rock Head
Special Features: Strangely nice and motherly, especially for her species.

Other Notes: A younger version of my main OC. I'm hoping to develop more of his character before he becomes a scientist.

Name: Sterling Hercules

Gender:
Male

Home town:
Opelucid City, Unova

Age:
19

Appearance:
Pale skin, Purple eyes, Short smooth yet slightly spiked Silver hair. Wears a Purple hoodie with a fur on the end of the hood, a Black jacket over it, Dark blue jeans and Charcoal shoes. Carries a Grey shoulder bag and inside has a flute that roughly resembles a Dragonair.

Personality:
Somewhat confident, but gotten a bit more stoic with age, he likes to play his flute which tends to have a calming tune toward some Pokemon. He likes to talk back to anyone he doesn't like (or criticizes his flute playing). He is very laid back and tends to relax in high places, such as tree branches in the forest and loves Pokemon more than anything. He is usually friendly to those who are friendly to him but can be rather cruel when angry.

Brief Bio:
Sterling grew up in Opelucid city to a family who were extremely devoted to Dragon-type Pokemon, especially his grandfather who taught Sterling everything he knew about... everything, making him home-schooled and barely socialized with anyone until his 9th birthday when he met a boy named Gregg who became his first real friend. They spent a lot of time together and even traveled together on their journey across Unova. Once they explored all of Unova, Gregg decided to return to his family whilst Sterling aimed for bigger heights, thus deciding to travel to other Regions, namely Hoenn and Kalos, causing the two to become relatively distant.

Pokemon:
Species: Haxorus (M) - Sterling's first Pokemon ever since he was hatched
Ability: Mold Breaker
Special features: N/A

Species: Lopunny (F) - Sterling's first catch since he set foot in Sinnoh
Abiltiy: Cute Charm
Special features: Eyelashes and a little blue bow

Species: Gallade (M) - Found injured and did his best to take care of him, since then joined his team (and gained feelings for Lopunny)
Ability: Steadfast
Special features: Wears a short and lightly tattered cloak

Species: Golurk - Gifted to him by his grandfather when it was a Golett
Ability: Iron fist
Special features: N/A

Let me know if anything needs changing.

Name: Rhashyya Grey
Gender: Female
Hometown: Jubilife City, Sinnoh
Age: 17
Appearance (Please include physical and default outfit descriptions): Rhashyya has a slender yet shapley form. Her hair reaches to her mid back and is jet black in color; it is thick and wavy. It's a bit wild but she doesn't tie it back with anything. She has a heart shaped face with large, expressive black eyes. Her skin is incredibly pale and, when she turns a certain way, you can sometimes see her veins.

For clothing, she isn't very picky. In warmer weather, her outfit of choice is a white sundress and simple brown sandals. She wears a pair of jean shorts under the dress. She keeps her pokeballs on a golden belt that is purely for decoration.

In colder weather, she wears a black turtleneck sweater, black fingerless gloves, skinny jeans, and fuzzy black winter boots. The boots even have two cute little puff balls on each one. She still wears her golden belt so she has quick access to her pokeballs. All her other supplies, no matter what the weather is like, she keeps in a multi-tone grey backpack.

Brief Bio: Rhashyya is a runaway from Jubilife. Having no place to go with her father's family and facing being kicked out by her mother's family when she turned 18, she stole a pokemon from her grandmother. The woman was a reputable breeder and Rhashyya figured she had could spare one pokemon. She also stole a small amount of money from the old woman so she'd have some money to start out with.

Set with a pokemon and some cash, Rhashyya ran south. She has been living on the route between Sandgem and Jubilife, tricking rookie trainers into betting money on battles. She usually leaves them with next to nothing. She shows no remorse and shows no signs of stopping her little ambushes. She only goes into town when she is in need of supplies.

She has since gone to Professor Rowan and recieved her trainer's license. She had her stolen pokemon stay hidden on the route so she could con a second pokemon out of the professor.

There is more to why she ran away, but this is a character from another roleplay that has nothing to do with pokemon so I'm still working out how to work in her backstory.
Pokémon:
Species: Absol
Nickname:
Gender: Female
Ability: Super Luck
Special Features: She is the pokemon Rhashyya stole from her grandmother. Although she was stolen, she is sympathetic to the young girl and does whatever she can to take care of her.

Species: Buneary
Nickname:
Gender: Female
Ability: Runaway
Special Features: While Buneary understands she was conned away from the professor, she enjoys life with Rhashyya. She has a trickster personality and enjoys fooling people into being robbed blind.

Name: Leo
Nickname: "Hot Head" "Loner"
Gender: Male
Hometown: Lumiose City, Kalos
Age: 17
Appearance: Tall-Slender-Spiky Black Hair-Blue Eyes-Pale

Bio: His family was rich but he still wanted to experience freedom so he left Kalos by stealing enough money for a one-way trip to the Sinnoh region.

Name: Shana Moonchild
Gender: Female
Hometown: Geosenge Town, Kalos
Age: 18
Appearance: Shana's long, jet-black hair is thick, coarse and falls nearly to her naval even in its single, long platt. Like all of the family and friends amongst the tribe, her eyes and skin are dark and rich, giving away her heritage before her lyrical tongue ever has a chance to. Shana had made a valiant attempt to avoid exposing herself as an outsider, but her unfortunate tendency to slip native dialect and terms of endearment into normal conversation certainly don't help her effort.

The only successful strides she has taken to blending into the rest of the world is her attire. Abandoning the native hides and tribal paints she'd grown up with, Shana opted for a new look wearing a dark, modern leather jacket, an overly-relevant 'PokeStar' v-neck shirt, navy blue jeans complete with manufactured rips, and motorcycle boots that have barely been broken in. In all, her appearance would be the perfect poster for a rebellious degenerate...if only her inherently kind nature didn't shine so clearly through the disguise.

Brief Bio: Shana was born and raised in the rural outskirts of Geosenge Town, though the accurate historical name according to her people was Wan-asin...which literally translated to Valley of Stones. This roundabout and overly complicated name correction was a perfect example of what her childhood here had been like...

While the rest of the modern world moved forward a few miles away, life in the small, secluded village where Shana was born had clung adamantly to the past and its long-standing traditions for generations. And Sooleawa, Shana's mother, was at the heart of these beliefs as one of the villages most trusted spiritual leaders...a role Shana was meant to adopt in her own time. Problem was...She showed little interest in that future prospect, or for any of her people's traditions for that matter. Shana was a rebel child, found more often playing with the local townschildren and their pokemon battles rather than studing her scriptures and legends. In hopes of bolstering her young child's interest in her future role, Sooleawa decided to entrust her daughter with a Scratchet. A unique pokemon passed down through their ancestral line, Scratchet, or more prodominately its exceedingly rarer evolved-form, Tomohawk, was a symbol of faith and a divine spirit for their people.

This gesture seemed to remedy the situation, as least for awhile. Shana, who had been hungry for her own pokemon partner, bonded instantly her new charge, yet unaware of its riligious implications. Though Shane still opted play and battle with the 'outsider' townchildren, the experience brought her and her new charge closer, and in doing so, brought Shana closer to her faith, as least in her mother's eyes. Then, after years of half-hearted battles and training, Scratchet evolved and everything changed... The evolution was hailed as a spiritual sign by the villagers, so rare was the sight of a real Tomohawk! Word spread, preperations began, and rituals and rights made ready; a coronation for the great Sooleawa's daughter would soon be underway! But Shana had ears as sure as the rest of her village and the prospect of beimg locked into this role, this restrictive world of stagnant tradition was more than she could bear. By the time the coronation was ready, Shana was no where to be found...

It's been nearly a year since she left home now, and Shana finds herself far afield in the distant region of Sinnoh, still unsure of what her future holds...and whether her choice to leave was the right one or not.

Pokémon:
Species: Tomohawk (a CAP Pokémon)
Nickname: Dart
Gender: Male
Ability: Prankster
Description: Tomohawk is bi-pedal gryphon-like pokémon standing around 3 ft tall. The lower half of his body resembles a golden lion with large white hind claws and a feather tipped tail. While his upper body resembles a ceremonial bird costume from the chest up, his wings are surprisingly functional. He has brown plumage covering the majority of his wings, a white fluffy collar, white primary feathers, and a tribal bird hood, from under which his real, golden feline-like head can be seen. His paw-like hands protrude from within the curve of his wings and along his shoulders and back, a hardened area of feathers protects his neck and spine from otherwise fatal attacks from behind.
Personality: Dart is extremely protective of his trainer and prefers to remain outside of his Friend Ball as often as possible to ensure her well-being, draped around her shoulders to literally protect her back with his own. However, due to his unique and often attention-grabbing appearance, this is rarely an option. He shows his frustration in this by immediately trying to intimidate anyone in the surround area when he is released, wings spread and fangs bared.

EDIT: Changed pokémon name to something less complicated (and more pronouncable) & added brief pokémon description.

Whats A CAP Pokémon?

A CAP pokemon is one of the completed projects from the Smogon community's Create-A-Pokemon (CAP) Project. Essentially it is a Fakemon, though with a little more merit as it has been communally balanced and carefully molded to fit seemlessly into the meta game, in order to avoid an OP or unrealistic creation. This particular CAP Pokemon, Tomohawk, was actually the communities creation prior to the reveal of Hawlucha, meant to fill the niche of a Fighting/Flying type in the game. If you want more information on the CAP project, I'd love to elaborate but message me instead so we're not cluttering this discussion thread with irrelevant stuff.

I already checked with sgiovanii to see if s/he was OK with the inclusion of a CAP pokemon in this roleplay. I've been in love with this little guy since 2013 and eagerly looking for a RP to fit him into.:)

Honestly, no clue if you're still looking for people to participate (since you've started already), but I had some time to spare so decided a Pokémon story with more mature themes sounded interesting. Of course I made a more detailed character than I should have (I always do), but I had fun. So, whether or not there's a spot here, I'm just gonna post and hope for the best, eh~

Edit: The character's backstory does deal with some emotional and physical issues due to abuse. Given the setting of the roleplay I felt that wasn't a problem, but here's a disclaimer anyway for those who don't want to read anything related to such topics.

Name: Esme Caradoc
Gender: Female
Hometown: Cherrygrove City, JR ( Johto Region )
Age: Sixteen ( 16 ) years old.
Appearance: Ever since a costume party changed her life, for the better might I add, Esme has been expressing more and more interest in becoming a witch. At this point it’s not even an interest anymore, it’s a lifestyle. Thus, she has clothes befitting such a lifestyle. Clothes she hasn’t grown out off since she was twelve ( 12 ) years old. Needless to say, she’s a petite girl.
Esme travels around in a witch’s get-up. A light-brown synthetic leather jacket adorned with white embroidery and black cross-pattern strings, to counter the monotonous color of the jacket, overtop an ivory, knee-length dress with wide sleeves reaching to the middle of her forearms. Paired with this already unusual outfit go black, knee-high socks and sturdy high-top shoes made from the same synthetic leather as the jacket.
Top it off with a traditional, grey-green witch’s hat, and a similar colored travelers backpack roughly half her size, as well as a sturdy hard-plastic staff that’s been specifically crafted to look like a twisted tree branch holding a large ‘gemstone’, which is also made from plastic. It’s a toy. C’mon, ‘magic’? In a world of electricity conducting mice and fire breathing lizards? Don’t be ridiculous.

Brief Bio: Esme was born on a dreary mid-week afternoon, the 21st of October. Or so she’s been told, after all she wasn’t exactly consciously there to experience it. Perhaps if she would have, then she’d have spared herself the constant suffering of growing up with an abusive father. Though, nowadays the only remnant of that dark past is her stature. Her body’s growth stagnated due to malnutrition. Something that may or may not resolve itself when Esme gets older.
But every nightmare eventually ends and after a long 9 years of dealing with the abuse, Esme’s mother made the right decision and divorced. Gaining full custody over young, damaged Esme. The years had done a number on her emotional and physical development, making her a very timid and fearful child without any notable interest in anything.
That is, up until her 12th birthday. At this point in time Esme was obviously still highly influential. Which is why this birthday party would turn out to ignite the desire to become a ‘witch’. As a few months before the ‘special day’ her mom had found love once more, a costume designer with quite the motivation to make Esme’s first birthday with a new family an unforgettable one. And he did, in the form of a fantastic costume party. On the day itself, October 21st, he presented her a witch’s costume. A handmade, well-crafted outfit complete with a hat, a ‘spell book’ and a magic staff.

The compliments about the outfit she’d gotten during the party made it so that she’d never wear anything else. But of course that wasn’t enough for the young ‘witch’. She knew she had to learn magic and fill the blank pages in her spell book. And in the end, what’s more magical than nature? Esme would spend whole days outside in the small woods near her home. Recording and drawing all flora and fauna she could find. It made her passion for nature grow, and with it grew her personality.
The peace and serenity of spending her days outdoors opened her up. She’d shed her timid personality and replaced it with an extroverted passion to share all she’d learned about the world around her.
She had to know the origin, and extend, of the natural beauty the world possessed. It compelled her to stay out later and later, eventually convincing her parents to go camping with her in the area she’d come to know as an ‘ancient forest’. Maybe it didn’t seem like much to her parents, the small cluster of trees out back, but it had given Esme a positive outlook, happiness. So, they gladly played along with the world their girl had created for herself.

Yet, in the end, there’s only so much to explore in such a small area. Esme was ready to see more, the entire world if she could. Set out on her own journey and standing on her own two feet. It was the 14th of June when she kissed her parents goodbye and went down her own path. Her own journey. To become the very best- version of herself.

Anyone know if it's okay to add a 'personality' section to my character? I feel like the bio doesn't really do it justice. It's more about her past than it is about her mannerisms.

I completely understand if you're all out of spots in the RP—although I hope this bio about a hardy adventurer at least puts a smile on your charming face.

Name-
Gertrude Resfeber Fernweh
Gender-
Male
Hometown-
Dewford Town, Hoenn
Age-
37 ( Aug 1, 1979)

Appearance-
Gertrude has a rather bulky body type, weighing at 202 pounds and standing at 5'9. His facial appearance includes a large nose, bushy black eyebrows and sharp crimson eyes (that are usually scrunched up). Gertrude's hair quite thick, and is a dark brown, although he covers most of it up with his Adventurers Deluxe Travel-hat©, so his hair usually just barely curls around the edges of his oak-colored hat. His apparel consists of a XL brown hiking shirt, and a throw on backpack over top it, along with his hiking shirt which has a red band tied across the right arm, he wears grey hiking pants and forestry boots with pull up white socks, just to keep those rattle-stinkin' bug Pokémon out of his oddly warm feet.

Brief Bio
-
Being born in a family filled with adventure and glee, Gertrude soon became the living embodiment of charisma, and spread his love for Pokémon and companionship to everybody and everything that crossed his path. As he grew older and older, the bold man sold his home and set out for a journey of excitement.
While he grew up in Dewford, Gertrude spent most of his time rock-climbing and mining with his good pal and Pokémon Terrak. This hardy thrill seeker first met the rock Pokémon in a dangerous mining expedition, when he was required to collect resources to fuel some of his towns power stations.
While mining his heart out, he'd heard a rather ominous yelp, after scrounging the mine, he stumbled upon a very young Geodude, getting pecked at by three Zubats. Instinctively, Gertrude threw himself in front of the petrified Geodude and took the hits the bat Pokémon delivered.
After they lost interest and fled to bother something else, the Geodude insisted on staying with Gertrude, and so it did, and the two swore to explore sought out places in the wondrous world of Pokémon. They managed to collect three gym badges along way; Geodude then evolved into Graveler, which earned him the name Terrak—another word for rock in a foreign language that he picked up in his adventures.

Pokémon-
Species- Graveler
Alias- Terrak
Gender- Male
Ability- Sturdy

Attitude- Terrak's attitude is Bold, which makes him almost in sync with Gertrude when it comes to passion and sense of adventure, Terrak considers his trainer to be his best friend, and loves the treks they go on—as long as no Zubat's are involved, of course.

Appearance- The burly rock Pokemon is 3'1 and weighs a whopping 231.5(105.0 kg) pounds, and has a red band tied around his right arm, similar to Gertrude's, but other than that has the same complexion as any other common Graveler. Although Terrak helps Gertrude out by carrying a brown bag which has poke-balls and food for the two; the hiking bag also weighs quite a bit.

I don't know if this RP is still open to join, but I was contacted specifically by the creator and I'm still considering joining. That being said, I've been taking a general hiatus from Pokecharms (responsibilities and personal stuff mainly) and probably won't be able to actually catch up unless it's the weekend/Christmas break. I'm hesitant to commit to something and then only be able to interact with it for like, 3 or 4 days a week.

I would like to join, and would love to start RPing here once again, but Pokecharms is just becoming harder and harder for me to get on everyday and check my notifications. Plus due to the nature of more active RPs with more active users I could miss a day or two and be drastically behind. The only possible solution I see to this fact is a post order, though that would only serve to bog down the role-play itself and cause more frustration than necessary for other participating players. If I were to not even join, it would save a lot more turmoil then it would cause if I did.

And, that's my stance. I'll try to join if possible, but because of the reasons listed previously I just don't know.

The only kind of RP I see that I could fathom would be a 1 on 1 sort of thing, but that takes actually picking a participant. I'll copy and paste this post to explain to anybody else who inquires about my absence.
