Open The Shepherd and the Herd (Discussion/Sign-Ups)

Centuries ago, blood was spilled, and magic was born. Though the details have been lost to history, the kingdom of Denara has kept its magic – and its peace, though that too may soon be lost.

Denara is a kingdom ruled by four giant deities, one for each element. Together they guide and educate their people. Only the most blessed citizens are born with the ability to manipulate the elements and can serve the gods as Heralds. Those with the gift of water serve Hyrdis in the north, and those with the gift of earth serve Terris in the east. Air wielders follow Ghalis in the south, and those who control the flame serve Fernis in the west.

Recently, there's been talk of unnatural occurrences coming from the forest that lies in the center of the kingdom. Four powerful Heralds have been tasked by their gods to investigate – but they are not the only ones venturing into the forest.

Legends speak of a fifth god, a tyrant buried deep in the heart of the kingdom that she once sought to rule. Those who follow her are few but dangerous and deadly. They twist the words of the elemental gods into ugly lies, and have earned the name Heretics.

The Heretics have been tasked with a mission of their own, to find the four heralds in the forest and deliver a message: the four patron gods have been lying to the kingdom, and they must be killed. A prophecy foretold of a being that would strike down the gods.

The Prophecy: Praise the Goatt, born under the blood moon. Chosen vessel of the Dark God; shall cast down all gods that walk before them.

In fear of this prophecy coming to light, the patrons ordered their servants to rid the world of all the goatts. For over one thousand years this went on, and the rulers rested easy. Until the night they feared came, at least... Under the crimson glow of a blood-red moon, a goatt was born, and the prophecy was set into action.

Will you help the chosen hero, or will you be one to try to strike them down? The choice is yours.

Magic exists within this realm. It's not the same as being able to wield elements freely, as Magic-Users often have to chant a spell in order to bring forth their powers. Magic is similar to it, but different at the same time. It was founded by the Nifrin (similar to witches) eons ago, now gone due to being hunted to extinction, but can be learned by those who have a higher spiritual connection. Magic was created as a way to counter the gods, as the Nifrin saw it as unfair. With their magic, they were powerful and deadly foes that were hunted down to avoid starting chaos between the two sides. Of course, as non-wielders can learn magic if powerful enough, never magic truly died with the Nifrin.

"Alik Sha"- Summon Blood- A spell used to strengthen Blood Magic. The most advanced blood magic requires blood from the user, this gives the user ample supply without weakening them.

"Dosh Yark"- Devil Fall- A deadly power that turns all the evil actions of the victim and user to overwhelm the victim with guilt, fear, and shame. Most become paralyzed, while others die from the effects in some manner.

"Marak Kish"- Fire Storm- A powerful fire spell.

"Nosho"- Bind- A spell that binds objects together.

"Dish-Ta"- Sever- A cutting spell.

"Ish Tocha"- Ghost Chains- A special draining spell, these chains seek the target and proceed to impale and entrap them, either killing them or leaving them vulnerable, drained of their energy for a while.

"Kash Kish"- Sword Storm- A spell that enhances the power of a sword.

"Sha Kish"- Blood Storm- An illusion spell that forces the victim to see all those they know to be dead victims covered or floating in blood.

Adding Sha (blood), will inherently add blood magic to any spell or incantation.

here is some info on them, plus some of their spells.

more to be added of course.

Anthro animal Roleplay. Fantasy based. No guns or anything like that, please. Set in a medievel-like setting with castles, kingdoms, things of the like. Another thing, animal species names have different spellings than in our world. Such as Katt, Goatt, Sheepe, Foxx, etc. Sounds the same, but spelled differently.

Please, no characters under the age of eighteen. You can make character sheets for the five gods as well if you wish.

Feel free to suggest other elements to add as well if you want.

Your character also doesn't need to have an element. Only if they are one of the blessed by the gods to command one.

With that said, enjoy!

Hmm. I suppose hybrids aren't a thing in this universe then?

You can have hybrids.

Just no goat, sheep, alpaca, llama- Things closely related to goats. They've all been wiped out. Also, fantasy animals like dragons are allowed. And supernaturals like werewolves and vampires. Obviously, they'd be animals, but yeah-

But yes, you're free to make whatever creature you'd like.
In that case, I'm totally in. What's the character limit? Is this a one-character-per-person role play or can you have two or three? Also, are any of your spells limited to the type of element your character possesses? For example, is "Dosh Yark" a Death Element exclusive? Finally, what is your policy on NPCs? Does our character's parents/acquaintances require separate character forms if they appear briefly or could we just include them in our character bio?

Species: Goatt

Element(s): Dark, Fire

Heralds or Heretic: Heretic

God: Servant of Tenebris

Appearance:

Personality: He is confident, cocky, and sassy. He loves to sing and show off his skills, resulting in his confident and cocky character. He’s sarcastic and has a smart mouth and attitude. He's stubborn, not one to back down very easily, and only a select few can talk him out of something once he's set his mind to it. And sometimes, then that doesn’t work. He is determined and persistent in reaching his goals and won't let anyone get in the way of his success.

Sometimes he can let his cockiness and confidence get the best of him. He can become overconfident, cocky, and sassy if pushed too far, or if people know how to drive that out of him. A bit competitive, and that can play into those faults, and if not careful, can get him into trouble.

He is sweet and caring under all that cockiness and sass. He's good-hearted, though he won't let others walk all over him. If provoked, he'll defend himself. He's protective of those he's close to. He’s compassionate, looking out for others more than himself. He'll throw himself into dangerous situations in order to protect those that can't themselves. This makes him reckless and impulsive.

He's quite determined, and has a strong will, and kind heart. Nothing seems to phase him as he puts on a brave front since he acts as the leader out of his counterparts, as well as image. If he shows weakness, those that want to tear him down will dig deeper into him like predators. Due to his good-hearted nature, he often gets into trouble. Sometimes starting it himself, or stepping in to help someone else that needs it. Thus making him a troublemaker in the eyes of many.

Haru gives off the impression that he’s an overconfident, cocky, sassy bastard. A troublemaker that’s best to be avoided. Someone who has big dreams, and is very determined. A street rat that runs his mouth, and gets into serious trouble with people. A bit stand-offish and distant, distrusting, and wary of people. Quick to go on the defense and snap back at others. A closed-off person with a good heart.

He is a good-hearted teen that’s doing his best. A confident, cocky, sassy boy, but a loyal friend that’ll help those that he can. Someone who has a drive to be the best, and will do all he can to reach it. A just friend who loves his partner, willing to do anything for them. Determined, loyal, and a kind soul, the singer is. A drive and a dream, and not as bad as many people believe he is.

Overall, Haru is a good-hearted teen that’s doing his best. A confident, cocky, sassy boy, but a loyal friend that’ll help those that he can. Someone who has a drive to be the best, and will do all he can to reach it. A just friend who loves his partner, willing to do anything for them. He is clingy, as he is never seen without his partner by his side.

History: Haru was born to a now-dead mother and father. He was the only sibling out of the flock that survived. The rest of his kind was slaughtered out of fear because of a prophecy that might not have even been true. The Monarchs feared a goatt would be born during the Bloodmoon, and if one was, that caprine would become a vessel for a god that would strike them down one by one.

Haru’s parents had been locked up in the cells in the dungeons, along with the rest of the goatts they had captured during their raids among villages. Despite trying to keep himself, the Monarchs knew he had been born. His parents kept him hidden for as long as they could from the rulers, so he wouldn’t be taken and killed as an infant.

When the minions of the Monarchs were coming to do away with the goattling, his parents sent him away through a hole in the wall they had made during the months they had been captive for. He was found by a couple that took him in, raising him as though he was one of their own. They knew of the prophecy like everyone else, and given the young goatt before them, it didn’t take a genius to know that he had been born during the Bloodmoon.

He was taught to fear those that he didn’t know. A stranger was dangerous. He took “stranger danger” to heart. Despite all that, he was able to make a few friends along the way, and his adoptive parents allowed it, even with their fear that he was going to get himself caught by the rulers of the land.

For a while, everything was fine. Until one day. The soldiers of the Monarchs were marching toward their home, having heard that a family was keeping a goatt with them. That, in the eyes of many, counted as being a traitor, and thus needed to be dealt with. For the second time in his life, he was sent away, and another family taken from him.

Haru lived alone after that. He stayed hidden deeply away from the rest of the world in fear that he would be taken away and killed. He survived on his own, hidden away from the graceful light. The darkness became his friend; the only time he dared to go out was in the cover of night.

His good fortune ran out. Like those before him, he had been captured. A metal collar was snapped onto his neck, complete with a chain to lead him around as though he was someone’s pet. Cuffs were put on his wrist and ankles, and he was dragged away to the dungeons. He was thrown into a cell, left to rot until the day of his death.

During his time in the prison, he learned that he wasn’t alone. He had a cellmate. It was a sheepe named Hamal. Through the ram, Haru learned that the lambe’s kind had suffered just as much as his own. The goatts were the main targets of the Monarchs, they took out the sheepe too. They couldn’t be bothered to weed out the caprine’s that hid among them.

The pair grew close to one another during their imprisonment. They both understood what the other was going through, and there was a kinship between them in more ways than one. That came to a halt when Hamal was taken from the cell, and led away to his death. Heartbroken, there was nothing he could do but wait for his own.

That day came sooner than he would have liked. Like Hamal, he was taken from his cell, and led away. He was shoved in front of a large crowd. Behind him stood the Monarchs. Cold fear shot through him. His execution was a public one. The words of the rulers fell on deaf ears as the goatt stared at the crowd that looked at him in fear and disgust.

Pain bloomed in the back of his legs, knocking him to the ground. He was forced to kneel before everyone. Cheers echoed around him, as did some screams of protest. Wind whirled around his ears, and a sharp pain exploded, before he knew nothing more.

When Haru opened his eyes again, he found that he was in the afterlife. Standing before him was a large black panthar dressed in a red-and-gold robe. A single red eye stared down at him. A crown sat atop the furry head of the god. He learned that the deity’s name was Tenebris, and the entity was thrilled to see him at long last.

The goatt was told that Tenebris could help him. He was given a choice to go back to the realm of the living, and get revenge on those who have wronged them all, and if he didn’t go on his own free will, then he would be forced. The caprine accepted the god’s after, seeing as how it was the easy way, or the hard way. And he didn’t want to see what the latter meant for him.

The god was pleased with his answer, and sent him back to the living realm. Seeing him rise up in front of everyone caused an uproar. They believed he truly was a monster after that, and sought his death once again.

Haru had no choice but to fight those that stood against him and his god. He had made a deal, and like it or not, he was stuck being a vessel to Tenebris. Now, he had to carry out what they wanted of him, a mere servant. After all, who could say no to a god?

Other: Instead of normal goat fur, Haru's is soft and cat-like. He is bisexual.

You can have as many characters as you want, so long as you use them all. The spells are not tied to the elements. They were made to counter those with elements for a better playing field. There can be spells of elements, like fire, water, etc, but they wouldn't be tied to the Gods' elements or those blessed by them.

No, they can just be mentioned. You don't need to make sheets for NPCs.

Name: Magmora

Age: 30

Gender/Pronouns: Female she/her

Species: Draconian

Element: Fire

Heralds or Heretic: Heretic

God: N/A

Appearance:
Magmora 2 screenshot.png

Personality: Magmora is something of a recluse, living outside of civilization in the wilds. Despite this, she is still relatively functional around others. She can be seen as a cheep and greedy hoarder, her cave has a separate area she considers her treasury and it's pretty close to overflowing. If anyone were to touch it without permission or try stealing any of it, they would immediately be met with a blast of flames to the head. Even so, she will help those that are lost find their way back. Just as long as they stay away from her home. She can be hospitable, though begrudgingly so.

History: Magmora's family is originally from the West, she herself actually hatching while they were on the road. Her parents were traveling jewelers, appraising, crafting and selling for fair prices. As Draconians, they can identify precious gemstones and metals at a glance, making it incredibly difficult to cheat them. Not to mention their fire breath and overall intimidating appearance.
That all came to an end one day when the one that accused her parents of fraud was a Herald. It seems that despite their reliable appraisals and skilled craftsmanship, they were unable to go against a Herald without proof and lost all credibility, forcing them to close up shop and turn over all their valuables. Magmora was only twenty years old when this occurred and has held a grudge ever since. Furious with the Herald that did this to her family, Magmora swore revenge. Her parents were against it, but she left them and made a home for herself in a cave in the wilderness, robbing rich passersby by the cover of night and otherwise terrorizing the place to the point that none would risk coming through the area without an armed escort or two.

Other: As a Draconian, Magmora is a very rare sight. The main reason being an overall low birth rate. Female Draconians lay up to five tough, flexible eggs the size of emu eggs that expand as the embryo develops within. The problem? The embryos are highly susceptible to outside interference, so the parents keep a constant visual until the outer shell completely hardens in a month's time. During this time, it is quite possible for the eggs to absorb harmful substances from the outside, usually killing the embryo. Dead eggs immediately dry up, solidifying into what are essentially rocks. The other problem, females typically wait ten years after laying a clutch to try again.

I'll type in more later, but here's what I have so far. Any additional information will be underlined.

Name: Kassandra

Age: 32

Gender/Pronouns: Female she/her

Species: Lionn

Element: None

Herald or Heretic: ???

God: ???

Appearance: A basic bipedal lioness. Wears white robes/clothes befitting a healer. Wears a gold locket around her neck. No one else has ever seen what she keeps inside of it.

Personality: Kassandra is quite the enigma. Despite being 32 years old, there are times when she can act like a grizzly old woman. She is stern and flaunts a seemingly no-nonsense attitude, yet the little children that come to her cottage adore her. Kassandra is known to be blunt on many occasions, yet there lies a tender heart beneath that rough exterior. She values the preservation of life, as noted by her skill as a doctor and healer, and is typically the shoulder to cry on whenever someone comes to her with a broken heart. She loves children and is very good at keeping them entertained, despite what most people think, and believes there are few problems that tea and empathy won't fix. She's very easy to talk to, yet her own thoughts and past are a mystery.

History: Kassandra has been called a witch and a miracle worker by many, though she will tell you that she is neither. She wanted to become a healer ever since her father showed her how to mend a bird's wing. Her father Cornelius was a scholar and a lover of music. Kassandra recalls his optimism as well as a desire for pursuing questions that no one would dare to ask, such as what made the gods gods and what made them worthy of being followed. These questions upset his colleagues in the South, but ultimately it was his compassion for others that was his undoing.
Roughly twenty years ago, Cornelius was tried and executed for harboring caprine refugees in his house. His death broke Cassandra's heart and she was forced to move her mother Abagail to the West. Kassandra loved her mother but she was never as close to her as she was to her father. Years later, her mother got sick and, due to not having a good doctor around, Kassandra was forced to take care of her. She learned a lot about healing in those years, but in the end, was unable to save the person she loved the most. Since then, she appears to have sworn vengeance on death itself.
Nobody knows where Kassandra's loyalties lie in terms of heralds or heretics, but they do know she is highly superstitious. She talks a lot about faeries and spirits as if she has seen them with her own two eyes. She is tight-lipped about her past but occasionally lets something slip. For example, she occasionally reads old letters by somebody named Jacob who is theorized to be her formal lover. She knows non-element spells such as "Dosh Yark" and "Dish-Ta", the latter she might use in operations but the former does not seem to fit her lifestyle.
Though she is bitter most of the time, she has not truly given up on helping others. She tends to any sickness of the body, the mind, or the soul that comes through her door. She gives candy and reads to the local children, including the orphans that like to hang around near her house. And she has been known to provide a cup of tea and a place to sleep for those going through relationship troubles. Her greatest fear, it seems, is not death but allowing her heart to get broken again.

Other: She grows her own herbs and medicines, though she sometimes has to barter or forage for her own. She distrusts the deities and gets fire in her eyes whenever she hears of abuse or unnatural death. Are there pets in this world? Because if so, I was going to have her put food out for the stray cats, birds, and whatever they have in this world. Maybe pet Jackalopes? Sedge, the young Bearr (or should that be Berr?) that hangs out by her house would love to play with a baby Jackalope.

Name: Artemis

Age: 19

Gender/Pronouns: Female she/her

Species: Tigerr

Element: Fire

Heralds or Heretic: Herald

God: Fernis

Appearance: A young orange and black Bengal tiger dressed as a huntress. She typically carries a bow and has eyes as bright and blue as the morning sky.

Personality: Determined, compassionate, strong, and a little naive, Artemis believes she has what it takes to become a great Fire Herald. Her passion for hunting and her adventure makes her in tune with the outdoors, although she is often not the best at reading people. To her, it seems unfathomable that a person should say one thing and do another, though she is not completely oblivious. Artemis loves her family, being helpful, and beating her siblings in a foot race. She loathes the sight of blood and occasionally faints or gets sick while helping Kassandra.

History: Artemis was born to a middle-class family in a litter of three. Her brother Paul is white like his mother and a blacksmith like his father. Her sister Luann is orange, writes poetry, and typically uses her fire magic for cooking. Artemis adores her siblings and often acts like the "big sister" even though they are triplets. When she was 12 she got "drafted" by Kassandra to assist her with a patient and has been her apprentice/nurse ever since.
Her fire powers far surpass those of her siblings, however, she has some trouble controlling them. When she learned of the possibility of being chosen as the Herald of Fernis, she put her sessions with Kassandra aside and devoted herself to practice. Unlike Kassandra, she has full faith in the deities and believes that everything they do is best for her people. However, her desire to protect the innocent is her main motivation for wanting to be chosen as a herald.

Other: Her best friend is a young Bearr cub named Sedge who loves plants, soft things, and stories with happy endings. He typically hangs out at Miss Kassandra's place because his parents fight a lot.

Name: Tenebris

Age: Unknown

Gender: Male

Species: Panthar

Element: Dark, Lightning, Ice, Stone, Fire, Death

Appearance: A large black-furred panther. He wears a red-and-gold robe, and has red eyes. Atop his head is a crown with a single crimson jewel with an eye in the center.

Personality: Tenebris is ruthless and brutal, a very dangerous creature. They are sadistic, taking great joy in hurting Haru, doing whatever they can to inflict pain and torment on him. Heartless and cunning, a skilled controller that enjoys pulling the strings. They are a master manipulator, knowing how to twist and bend Haru, shaping him into their little plaything.

They can spin a web of lies, making them sound believable. They can bend and twist the truth, filling a person’s head with lies and doubts; making it seem like they need Tenebris. Able to mold others into how they want, shape them the way they were rightfully meant to be. He is a skilled manipulator.

They enjoy messing with Haru, toying, and playing with their prey. A monster that will stop at nothing to make the boy's life a living nightmare. They’ll spread their influence across the world, becoming the rightful ruler of the land. Tenebris is uncaring, calculating, and treacherous, as evidenced by his willingness to kill Haru, that faithfully served him. He sees Haru as nothing more than a tool to meet their ends.

He takes joy in seeing what cruelty the Goatt is capable of, complimenting his ruthlessness in crusades, in sacrificing others, or in selling others to save his own skin. He feels entitled to his powers, taking offense if Haru should defy his "divine right." When he is defeated and robbed of his powers, he continues to berate the Goatt.

History: Eons ago, Tenebris was among the other Gods, ruling alongside them over the land. They all kept the balance of the element they commanded, and were loved, and feared, by all. He, along with the other deities, ruled over their domains with iron claws, and ruthless actions. They were not the first Gods that ruled, but they were the last ones. All the others were taken out by those that sought to rid the world of those that held too much power over the world, so they believed.

One by one, they fell from enchanted weapons, powers, and magic meant to kill them. Until only the six remained. In an effort to stop the slaughter, the remaining deities combined their powers into one ultimate attack, ridding the world of those that stood against them. That had spent so long hunting their kind down. Of course, there were more gods, some having gone deep into hiding to survive, but due to that, they were forgotten by time and history.

Peace fell over the land soon enough after the dark days had passed. The Gods were more on edge after that, being more tightly in control of those that served them, not wanting another uprising to take place. One fateful day, a fortune-teller appeared in the lands of the Gods, drawing their attention. The teller spoke of a fate for one of them that would lead them down a dark path that would change the world forever.

As time passed, Tenebris became bitter, just as the teller foresaw. The other Gods were held in a much higher regard than himself. His element, Dark, while loved by many, was feared by just as much, if not more. He became bitter and jealous, stewing over an act of revenge against the others that didn't care to try to get him on the same level of respect as they had.

He turned on them, and sought to take them down, so he could rule the land. Then he would be adored and feared. Respected as a God should be. That backfired on him, sadly enough. The other ones wouldn't stand for that, not after fighting so hard to keep themselves alive the last time foes rose against them.

Not wanting to kill him, because the world couldn't exist without the Dark, the other Gods sealed him away deep underground. He was still alive, still able to do his duties, but not killed. He couldn't hurt himself, or anyone, if he was locked away. This only further angered him, and he awaited the day that he would be free of his prison and be able to rule the world above as he was meant to. And it all came to be in the form of a lone goatt.

Tenebris waited for years trapped below, hidden away from the rest of the world. The other Gods knew of the fabled prophecy that would spill the end of their reign. As such, they spent millions of years to slaughter the goatt race, and any that looked closely related too them, unwilling, and uncaring to pick out the caprine that thought to hide among sheepes, alpakas, and lammas.

One fateful night, under the rare sight of a blood-red moon, a young goatt was born. At once, the Dark God that he was to be his Vessel. He would be the one to slay the Gods, and free him from his imprisonment. The day came when Haru was publicly executed as a way to strike fear into the people, showing them what happened to those who dared disobey them. But in doing so, they sealed their own fates.

Tenebris gifted Haru his crown, and the powers at his command to do what he was destined to do. He sent the goatt back to life, allowing him to carry out his mission. It would only be a matter of time before the Gods fell, and he was free. He was sure of it.

Tenebris sounds like a nightmare!

@Keme: I had another idea for Kassandra's backstory. Hear me out. Do you know how I hinted that she gets misty-eyed reading letters from somebody called Jacob? Well, what if Kassandra's former lover was actually one of the gods, she just didn't know it. Too much? It's okay if it is. I get a little carried away with designing characters sometimes.

He could be a Herald of one of the Gods if you want. Heralds are like- second-in-command. So he'd still be very powerful.

I hope creating a small village and a different spell is fine, and all information that I could think of is below in the "Other" category (although the spell is a deprivation of a different spell, and the village isn't necessarily a memorable area)

Name: Yanlu Tetsuya

Age: 21

Gender/Pronouns: Male, He/Him

Species: Katt

Element: Ice, though he prefers to use swords as his main type of weapon.

Heralds or Heretic: Herald

God: He follows Ghalis, though he doesn't care much for the gods.

Appearance: Yanlu has light-brown colored fur, with black stripes on his back, and he also has a yellow spot on his right eye. He has heterochemia, which means that his eye colors are different. On his left eye, his eye is a yellow color, while the right eye is blue. He wears a dark brown cardigan on-top of a green shirt, while he wears black pants as casual clothing, but during missions or expeditions, he wears a green coat over a brown polo while wearing green or brown pants with a sword belt. He also has some pouches on the belt, usually filled with medicinal herbs and mushrooms, along with some powders.

Personality: Yanlu is playful, chaotic, and skilled in what he does. As a Katt, Yanlu relies on quick and chaotic movements in his sword-fighting, so being chaotic can help with his strength. You can also see this in his fighting style, preferring to use quick hits to take down an opponent than slow attacks, since he says it will lessen his agility, taking away one of his strengths in battle. Generally though, he's a good guy, and doesn't mind helping out his elders in his village. Other than that, Yanlu is hardworking, and pretty friendly to newcomers, though this could be interchanged for naivety, or just flat out friendliness. Finally, Yanlu likes to research on plants and medicinal herbs, especially collecting them for medicine in the village and just in case someone gets hurt in the field while on expeditions.

History: Yanlu lives in a mountain village on the south, where there is a population of maybe one-hundred people, maybe less. Raised with herbalists as parents, they taught him the deadliest flora and fauna in the forest, along with which ones have the most potential to heal wounds or sicknesses. Yanlu loved to listen to his parent's lessons, but what he loved most what sneaking out at random times in the day to go to his uncle, who knew how to use a sword. This went on for years, until Yanlu was skilled enough to use the sword itself, and create his own style of sword-fighting. Of course, he kept practicing his skills, getting as good as he could be.

He eventually went on expeditions to find supplies, herbs, and more to help the village, up until he was called upon by a messenger of Ghalis for he was destined to become a Herald, and stop the propechy from occuring. He agreed to the message, and trained day and night, using his uncle's variation of the skill, "Kash Kish" from strengthening the power of swords, to being able to control swords in a telekinetic style of manner, using the spell, "Kash Tin". Soon enough, he'll be ready enough to leave his hometown and meet with the rest of the Heralds.

Other:
Village:
Aokiji Village is a small mountain village, with a population of one hundred , maybe less or more. The population was made up of mostly Katt, and was a quaint village. The building style of the homes in Aokiji village can be seen in Japanese styles of building. Many herbs are grown in Aokiji Village, mostly because many of the residents here are herbalists, and generally are more peaceful compared to some of the neighboring villages or towns.

Spell: "Kish Tin" - A spell derived from the spell "Kish Kash". Created by a swordsman from Aokiji Village named Teijo Takeda (Yanlu's Uncle), who had been perfecting the spell since Yanlu was born. Now out of the development phase, it was free to use. But as a deprivation of the spell Kish Kash, the spell is unstable, and can end up in disarray or chaos.

He is accepted.

Elements: Fire
Water
Nature
Wind
Light
Shadow
Lightning
Ice
Stone
Death

I couldn't help but notice there is no Earth element listed here. Is Nature the same as Earth? I thought it might be a good fit for Jacob since Kassandra's backstory suggests she has a fondness for plants. Or a suppose I could give him a more destructive element to contrast with Kassandra. Thoughts?

Nature is a mix of plant, and earth-like elements.

Mind if I ask when we begin the RP? And what plans do you have for the start of the RP?
I was thinking we'd start with one or two more people. If you know anyone that'll like this, feel free to send them here.

As for the actual start, I'm unsure at the moment. Something I think to discuss with everyone I think.

Name: Pamila

Age: Unknown (Adult)

Gender: Female

Species: Kow

Element: Death (Formerly all the elements Tenebris' has)

Heralds or Heretic: Heretic

God: Tenebris

Appearance:
1683956408748.png

Personality: Pamila is sweet and motherly. She's always looking out for others, doing her best to make sure they're taking care of. As a motherly figure, she can be stern and strict when needing, putting her hoof down. If any harm should come to those she is looking after, you'll get her horns. She's as angry as a bulll when those she cares for are harmed. She is a fighter, and rather strong on top of it. She can kick butt, and she will when she has to.

History: Pamila lived among other kows, raising a family, and doing her best to get by. Her family was taken hostile when they were caught hiding goatts from the Enforcers, and were thrown into the holding cells while they waited for their deaths. One by one, they were taken out and executed for their crimes. In doing so, with her death, it allowed her to come face-to-face with Tenebris in the void he was trapped in.

She was sent back to the mortal realm, given the task to take down the Gods, and free him. However, because she wasn't a goatt, that couldn't happen, but she did her best. She had but one living relative left, a young kow named Salus. Having been locked away, Pamila vowed to free them from where they were being held by the Gods, in fear of them. For they were born with all the elements at their command.

When Haru came along, she took him under her wing, guiding him along his journey, teaching him his new powers, and becoming a mother-figure for him. This extended to any that had allied themselves with the caprine as well. She took them in with loving arms, willing to keep them safe, and protect them no matter what.

Other: N/A.

I give you all kow mom. Despite her being a heretic and having death, another one with death can still be added. Like Haru, she could have trained the new Death Heretic, perhaps?

Name: Jacob

Age: 34

Gender/Pronouns: Male he/him

Species: Lionn

Element: Earth, Nature

Heralds or Heretic: Herald

God: Terris

Appearance: As basic as a lion can get except for scar on his chin and his braided and slightly shaved mane (to cut down on resistance and make it easier for fighting). He carries a sword and hilt at his side, believing it is best to fight elementals with elements and non-elementals without them.

Personality: Compassionate and loyal, but full of blind faith. Jacob has a strong sense of duty, and was taught since birth that Terris was just and wise. This ideology means he will obey orders without question. However, his fondness for others, most notably Kassadra, has been known to soften his resolve. He likes plants and enjoys gardening. He also possesses a knack for poetry.

History: He believes that the gods are pure and just, and would do anything Terris asked of him. The one time he wavered was when he had to choose between his faith and his true love, Kassandra. Like Kassandra, he believes in helping others. However, Jacob believes it is impossible for a god to be cruel. When Kassandra argued that Terris and the other deities could have chose a more merciful corse of action instead of slaughtering the goatts and their brethren, he asserted that the gods' decision to wipe out the goatts was justified. "If there was a better course of action, they would have taken it." --Jacob

He and Kassandra got in a fight and he has not seen her sense. He often thinks of her, wondering if he did the right thing and whether his morals should be questioned.

Other: His sword is called Resolve

I feel like Fernis would probably be one of those war-driven gods out of the four, so I wouldn't mind starting in the land of Fernis. Most Heralds would be there because they'll be watching the execution so that'll be a good way to introduce the Herald characters

Well, I'm probably going to introduce Magmora attempting to rob some noble prick on the forest trail.
That's fine.

That would be a good way to. We can do that.
