(( This is an open RP for anyone to join however, specifically I want to bring @JacobRaze, @Twilight Nova, and @_Umbreon_ 's attention to this RP. Also, let's just pretend that everyone starts their journey at 13, which I find more reasonable than 10.
You and a group of other trainers just started their journey. A group of 13 year olds with jittery nerves of excitement and the newfound thrill of leaving home with their new partners. The stakes are high these days, with movie stars raising in Unova, PR videos taking the Internet by storm in Kalos, new competition champions in the Kanto region, Pokeathlon is becoming very popular in the Johto region, and in Hoenn and Sinnoh Frontier Brains and Pokemon Coordinators are becoming very popular. You want to become a champion, and to get there you will have to fight your way through the region with your partner and your group.
So, we are in the Kanto region, the gym leaders are the same, champion is Lance. Everyone will start in a different region to get their starter and then recieve a letter of invitation that is asking you to be part of a social/teamwork experiment with other 13 year olds that just started their journey. The story is simple, go through the region with your group. You are allowed to take three Pokemon total from your home region to this test, but keep in mind that they must be level five or under to start off with and don't be too crazy and arm yourself with a Mawile. Eevee is allowed, but you have to tell me what eeveeloution it will become so not everyone has a Vaporeon. One last note, everyone favors their starter. No matter whether you like your Rattata better, you must favor your starter in the roleplay by walking with it or using it in battle more. I personally favored my starter over all others in my first game and everyone else who I asked (outside and in school) agreed with me. Plus keep in mind that you are a new trainer, only having experienced these creatures via Television or outside your hometown. You will start your post with a letter to you character from the professor of that region saying similar to what I have down in my post below. You end your first post with you arriving in Pallet town, or receiving your first Pokemon if you live in Kanto. Please and thank you!

You are coming up on your 13th birthday, a very exciting one for that matter! You will recieve your first Pokemon! However please read the following.
You have been selected from all of the new trainers in Sinnoh to participate in the Teamwork project! You and a few other new trainers will meet in Kanto's Pallet town to get more details, I hope you enjoy embarking on your journey with your first Pokemon!

Grace gave a small squeal and jumped up into the air. She has been waiting for this almost her whole life. Today was it, the day Twinleaf town sent someone off to Kanto to be proud of! Grace leaped off of her bed and packed up her bag she would carry even if it was just a regular journey. The teenager sped around the room, stuffing clothes, hygiene products, and good luck charms into her bag. "No no no.... Grace! What is this?" Her mother asked in a bewildered voice, holding up one of the 5 year old Clovers she kept for luck. "Oh! I'm packing for the Teamwork project. And that's..." She said grabbing the bag the clovers were sealed in. "My good luck charm." Her mother sighed and gave a knowing grin. She had done the exact same thing. "Here honey, try this." She held out a white bag that already had everything Grace needed in it. "Mom...." Grace's voice trailed happily for a moment but she started to tear up. The teenager gave a big hug before slinging the bag over her shoulder. "I have to go now or we will all be in waterworks!" Grace called to her mother. Her mom waved and smiled. "Don't forget to go to Sandgem's airport at 12:00 sharp! Don't be late missy!" Grace was already out the door.
Grace hurried to the outskirts of the snowy Twinleaf, to lake Verity. The frost covered lake was very relaxing and always calmed her nerves. To her suprise Professor Rowan was there with a large suitcase, looking out into the water. When he heard her approach he turned and gave her a full smile. "Grace! It's been too long! I haven't seen you in two years even though I'm just a route away!" He noted as he walked forwards. "Now..." Professor Rowan started. "You probably just want your Pokemon. Choose wisely, this will be your partner for the rest of your life." The Professor warned as he released three Pokemon. Chimchar, Turtwig and Piplup popped out of the balls in a flash of light. "They are all so cute!" Grace bent down to study Chimchar. She was about to pick it when the fire type suddenly punched her square in the face. "Oof!" Grace grunted as she fell backwards off balance. Professor Rowan returned the Chimchar with a sigh. "That ones never going to be picked at this rate." Grace turned to the Piplup. His big eyes and adorable pride shone like stars and Grace was in love. "This ones it. I choose you Piplup!" Grace grabbed the Piplup and held it in her arms. The Water type turned to face her and gave a huge grin. "Pip! Piplup!" It cried happily as it shot small bubbles into the air. "Alright Frostbite! Let's go to the Kanto region!" Grace took the Pokeball and sat Piplup down on her head where he seemed most comfortable and ran to Sandgem, leaving a confused Professor to follow more slowly.
Grace gazed out at the ocean, watching amused as Frostbite admired the large expanse of the liquid. Suddenly the intercom came on.
Flight 83 will be landing in Veridian City within 5 minutes. We ask for you to out away all cellular devices and begin to round up your possessions. The seatbelt light is on, so we ask that you fasten your seatbelt. We hoped you enjoyed flying Wingull International Airlines, we hope to see you again!
Once the plane landed Grace hurried off to Pallet Town, Piplup cheering on her head. At one point she became thirsty and reached into her bag for water. That's when she realized that Aroma and Solstice were in there. The Budew was the daughter of Grace's Mother's Roserade the Eevee was the daughter of her Mom's Flareon. Once she finally made it to the small town she was greeted by the one and only Professor Oak. "Welcome Grace! Thank you for joining us!"
