So this is just a weird idea that's run threw mind but a few friends decide to have a party. They start playing an older game only to be sucked into it. Now they must beat the game in order to be set free. What do you all think.

Alright my idea is that this will be an actual game. for obvious reasons the in game characters and story won't be exactly the same since the new guys will react differently than how the actual protagonist would be. So you all have any game request from the Game cube/PS2/ X box generation and ones before that. We all come up with a few games and cast a vote for which one this will be. My nominees are

Alright let's weed this down to about six
for obvious reasons Paper Mario TTYD and Mario 64 are going to be in the final six since two people nominated them.
After we figure out what the top six are were decide as a group which one the people will be trapped in.

I like the idea of it being a classic arcade game like Pacman or something that already has a high amount of plot put into it already like Halo. What will be good about this is that we will adapt the story.

Maybe it could be good if we based it off a game like Luigi's Mansion or some kind of house or facility game, where the player is in one house for the entire game.

EDIT: I nominate Yoshi's Island, but not the DS Version, the Original! I didn't know which one was put on the nominated list, probably the original version given the console

I do not know of Persona 3, I haven't played it, nor have I played Paper Mario TTYD or any of the Mega Man games. If this turns out to be Pokemon Red and Blue, it may as well go in the pokemon discussion. I think I will vote for Super Mario 64, then Pokemon Red + Blue Second though and then my third choice would be Pacman. I haven't exactly played Super Mario 64, but the worlds would be interesting and I know I bunch of mario villains I could rp as to help. From what I get though, this is going to be more like real life.

For Super Mario 64, the group could have an active role in doing missions and collecting stars, in order to get out. Instead of it focusing on Mario, it could focus on the whole group-one character could represent or take Mario's role, but then here's the twist: we have the other Mario heroes to help-a Luigi themed character, a Peach themed character (who may get seperated from the Mario character at the start), a Toad chief character, a Yoshi character, a Penguin character + other friendly characters you meet on the way. Prehaps, the Peach character is actually the real life girlfriend of the Mario character. They don't have to be the same character, is what I am saying, more like, they take their role.

If I were to vote for the choices now, I would go for Super Mario 64, (because that sounds absolutely awesome, based on JohnsonAce's idea) and Pac Man (I don't know.)
I've never played any of the others (Persona 3, I'm looking at you) other than Pokemon Red and Blue.

I've just read a bit about Persona 3. Sounds interesting and could work, without us having to bend much of the original plot-we all could just have one of the people who turns into one of the high schoolers. However, I don't know how the Persona system would work. I've never even played the game so I don't even know what is shown in the animation for it.

If it was Pacman, that normally revolves around one person taking on multiple ghosts. We'd either have to have all the friends turn into Pacmen, meaning it would be an army of Pacmen vs Ghost invaders or a defected friend turns against the others and the others become the ghosts. It could simply just be 'escape the maze from the creepy ghosts'

As for Super Mario 64-Bowser, who is the final boss, could represent an enemy or bully in real life to the group/Mario represented character. Prehaps he could have abducted the Mario character's girlfriend as part of his revenge against him. Maybe he could have the Goombas and Koopas as gang members, although that would be too much like the terrible 'Super Mario Bros' movie.

Alright so then from a decent majority Super Mario 64 is the winner.
We could do the ds version
That would give us mario, luigi, yoshi and wario for people to take control of

You can either have played the DS version or the original. If the Pokemon game was selected, this disscusion would go into Pokemon Roleplay Disscusion. I think.

Yeah if it's Pokémon then I'd have to agree with @Shimmering here. (If it is going to be Pokémon, what exactly defines beating the whole game? I.e. Beating the champion, catching the legendaries, filling the dex, etc.)

The goal of Pokemon XD is pretty much like every other Pokemon game, without the gyms. So, essentially, you just have to try and dismantle an evil organization. In the game, the player starts with an Eevee and you can evolve it pretty early on.
