The Writer's Guild: Deluxe Edition

Here is a place to promote Pokecharms writing. The writer's guild here is not complicated at all. Every person on the thread is able to make challenges for others to promote writing on the website. Contests and such can only be made by me, but they will not last too long. The longest contest can take up to 2 months, if delayed.
Anyway, without further ado, time to summon some notable Charms authors!

Now, for the first contest:
Weekly Written Works

Now, this sounds simple. You only have to make one writing a week, huh? Well, you'd be wrong if you think it's simple! Every week, you will have to write, at minimum, a single one-thousand or more word story that follows the weekly theme. Keep in mind that these don't always have a relation to Pokemon at all. You will be judged, by me, on the following criteria:

Plot Line (Is the plot cliche or is it original?)
Theme (Did it follow the theme?)
Spelling (How well can you spell? If it's not that good, then spellcheckers can help.)
Grammar (Does the grammar make sense? If the character has bad grammar, I don't take points off for that.)
Drawing in the Reader (How much does your story make me want to be there?)

This contest can have up to four contestants(these contestants can only write four entries) and you will have seven days to make a thousand word story (more like speech) based on the following theme, starting tomorrow when you wake up.

Why Should People Play Pokemon?

By September 17, your entry should be submitted to me, and I will judge it. During this time, you wil be forbidden to write more stories. When I have judged them, I will announce the winner and give you more info regarding Week 2!
Judge: Me

Conestants: Mewtwofan259, Pretty Pichu, Ry_Burst

Wha?! Huh?! What?!

This does sound like an interesting and creative concept, but not really something I'm interested in. I work better when I get to write about whatever I feel like instead of having to stick to a subject...

I have a few questions. First off, involving the no writing stories that aren't involved in the contest. Is that really necessary, especially say we finish it within the first day (the contest story), to not be able to post anything else? I have a piece I've been working on for about a month, that I've been getting close to finishing. So with that rule, I couldn't post it, despite waiting for a while to do so.

And involving the contest itself, is there two separate contests, mentioned above, the first writing a series with a chapter per week, and the two other one being writing an essay involving each topic given?

@Pretty Pichu This first week can be both. You can make a memory compilation about your experiences with Pokémon or do a persuasive speech.
@Ry_Burst When I meant "You are forbidden to post stories" I meant that only for the contest. Sorry. Also, it's a simple contest where you write a one-shot regarding the theme given for the week.

Oh, to reiterate, it's just saying you can't write a story for the contest, and the contest is simply writing a piece about the topic? Making sure I'm 103% sure, I know what's going on.

Okay, I'll try my best then :) I'll get started on it now. I am free tomorrow, but I don't know what my day is like, so I may or may not be on tomorrow.

Where am I on the contestants? Is it only two right now? I'll swap with Yellow.anime, since they're needing to drop out.

Okay, it turns out I didn't have enough time to finish the essay. I'll get it done later, but it obviously won't count towards the contest. I have upcoming college shit happening and I have work this weekend. I don't think I'll be able to get this done next week either. Maybe I do and I have enough time for the next one....
