Private/Closed Unova Travels

Dustin Taylor, a 14 year old boy, wandered aimlessly brought the crowd. Not only was the town of Virbank buzzing with people, but apparently a film studio called Pokestars Studio was just north of here. Dustin took out the crumpled map out of his pocket, and unfolded it. There was a contest in Flocessy Town, just west of here. He could head there and watch it, maybe even participate.

The golden haired boy gave a shrug, and stuffed the map back into his pocket. Silently he lifted his hand to feel the Pokémon, attached to the necklace he was wearing. Inside was his partner, Eon.

Eon, was described by his parents, as a mistake. They were Pokémon Breeder, who specialized in making shiny Pokémon. Then when an Eeveeloution trainer requested a shiny Eeveeloution, with his two Pokémon, a regular Eevee was born. While his parents decided to get rid of it, Dustin took the Eevee and ran away. That was a little while ago.

Dustin's dream was to make people smile, but he'd sometimes get a bad case of stage fright, and he froze. But here in Unova he would accomplish his dream.

The boy walked towards the already crowded Pokémon Center, and sat down at a table, sipping at a water bottle he had brought. He wanted to let this crowd of tourists to die down first.

Alix huffed as she shoved her way through the tourists, "Move it will ya? Trying to get to the Pokecenter, over here. Oi, watch it!" she yelled over the din. The tall, blue and red building was in her sights. With renewed efforts, she doubled her shoving and fast walking, earning many glares and shouts of protest. "Oi, I gotta heal my team, not gawk at trivial things like lights like a slack jawed Magikarp." she retorted to a few people.

The door then opened as a kid exited with a happy Lilipup at his heels. "O-OI HOLD THE DOOR!" she yelled, making an absolute beeline for the automatic doors. The poor kid jumped in fright, and could only watch in amazement as Alix leapt from a few feet away from the door and slid in on her stomach.

She looked up, noticing the stares she was getting. She saluted with a tip of her cap, "I made it!" she grinned in glee. Sure, she was covered in dust (That was a given, she nearly almost always was.), rumpled clothes and her hat and backpack askew. Her nose had a bandaid over the bridge, and bandages in various places, and her short hair was tussled and stuck up everywhere under the hat.

The wild girl got into a position as if she was to do a push up, and pushed herself off the floor and back onto her feet. She walked with no shame up to Nurse Joy, who eyed the wild girl with an unreadable expression. Alix fumbled with her belt, before managing to remove the two Pokeballs and handing them over.

Alix flashed her crooked, fanged grin at the pink haired woman, before running over and slumping down into a booth. She heaved a great sigh, using her backpack as a pillow, "Freaking finally made it..." she said to herself, grinning. Here in Unova, she'd not only have an adventure, but she swore by the end of this she'd make a new life to support herself and repay her mother for everything the woman had gone through for her.

Robert leaned against a building and watched how the crowd of tourists acted. "Wow, there sure are a lot of tourists in Virbank City," he said. His Pikachu, that was on his shoulder, agreed with him.

Robert is from Kalos and he met Pikachu a year ago, when she ran away from her old trainer. Her old trainer was a spoiled rich girl who is well known in his hometown. Pikachu didn't like how she treated it and how it hardly had any freedom. Robert helped hide the Pikachu and they became close after a year. However, last week, the girl found them and demanded her Pikachu back. Even though he explained why it ran away, she was unreasonable and gave him a day to return it. So Robert decided to leave Kalos and travel to Unova with, now his, Pikachu, to escape that spoiled rich girl. Now that he's in Unova, he might as well travel the region.

Robert spotted a clear path that led to the Pokemon Center without any tourist getting in the way. "Let's go!" he said and started running as fast as he can until he reached the Pokemon Center. "That was close," he said as the doors closed. "Pika pi," his Pikachu replied.

Sali hurried through the enormous crowd of tourists that filled a considerable area around her. She scurried over to the Pokémon Center that she saw a wild girl coming in from the entrancing door, as she quietly made her way to the Pokémon Center. A small Pokémon timidly cooed with an infantile phoenix's tone towards the amassed crowd of tourists that some seemed to be frantically taking pictures around the city like relentless paparazzis looking for that one celebrity. There was another Pokémon that walked closely with her right leg, as he appeared to be a bipedal tortoise that was made entirely out of a layer of calcium rich bones.

She went into the Pokémon Center with her Pokémon, as she silently went over to a table that a golden haired boy sat in and sat across the boy. She took out a grayish bottle and sipped on the rich juices that it housed, as it was very sweet to her now excited taste buds. The turtle-like Pokémon climbed up on her leg and happily sat on her lap. She calmly stroked his smooth head that was smoother than conventional, gritty sandpaper. The Phoenix Pokémon blankly stared at the boy that drank his water bottle, as she thought to herself, "Huh, where am I? This place doesn't even look that familiar to me at all... I feel like a bird that's in an ocean here... maybe I should talk to that boy that's drinking his water bottle, yeah... but wait! He's a human, and that means that he can't understand me... maybe I should find a way to get my trainer to understand me more."

Alice Lester stood against a wall, her mouth trembling. She was inside the Pokemon Center trying to heal Candel, but there were so many Pokemon in here, many of them she was afraid of. Candel was guarding her closely, as he always was. Alice quickly ducked her head down and ran to the front counter, she healed Candel and went and sat on a bench in the middle of the room. The building was full of people with many powerful Pokemon, her anxiety wasn't helping her in situations.

Alice took a deep breath and slowly looked around, huge dragon like Pokemon surrounded her in her thoughts. But she realised that the only Pokemon triggering her anxiety was a huge, snake like, grassy creature. Candel was slowly pacing around the chair, but was suddenly distracted by a small pikachu. Candel couldn't resist talking to other Pokemon, so he happily trotted over to the pikachu. Alice smiled, the pikachu was small and seemed quite calm. Maybe Candel would make a new friend, maybe she would make a new friend. Who knew?

Robert walked towards the counter and had Nurse Joy heal up his Pikachu. Once the healing was done Nurse Joy gave back Pikachu and the electric mouse jumped down and stood next to her trainer. Robert then pulled out an egg from his bag and asked Nurse Joy for a check up. He received the egg from his mother as a going away present.

As Robert was busy with Nurse Joy, Pikachu noticed a Stufful coming towards her. The Stufful looked friendly enough, so Pikachu smiled and waved hi at the new Pokemon.

Alix heard the sounds of other Pokemon trainers and their partners within the center. She grinned, now this is what being a trainer felt like, eh? She'd adjust nicely then. A wiggle from her hip alerted her a second too late before a burst of blue light revealed the speed demon herself. Dahlia made a growling yip of excitement, leaping into the table to get a vantage point of the entire center. "Hey, this isn't Kalos! Alix, girl where are we?!" she barked angrily at her trainer who shoved her wild Pokemon away by the nose. "Hush you." Not satisfied, Dahlia leapt to the floor and sped off, weaving through the legs of other trainers dangerously. A small thud that sounded like a head hitting a table followed Dahlia's departure, and Alix groaned. "I seriously have to go through this again?" She muttered.

Unlike the rest of this motely crew of trainers Drake was not inside the Pokémon centre. No, sadly he hadn't been able to make it inside before his Poliwhirl, Kek, decided to take matters into his own mitted hands and use rest about 3 meters from the door of the busy centre. Despite the thick crowds the Poliwhirl could sleep through anything and simply lay flat on his back snoring obnoxiously loud. Drake was not quite so peaceful.

"Kek you tiny Snorlax not now! You could have slept in your Pokeball if you had just waited a few minutes!" He cried in anguish as he knelt beside his Pokémon, trying to shake it back into consciousness. Many people were giving the pair odd looks as they were forced to squeeze past them just to pack themselves into the already full to bursting Pokémon centre and Drake could have sworn he even heard a few people make snarky comments at him. This didn't overly bother the boy, after all they wouldn't be laughing when he and his partners became the strongest battlers in all of Unova would they?

Candel waved to the Pikachu and ran around it playfully. "(Hi, I'm Candel!) Stufful Stuff!" Candel exclaimed.

Alice breathed deep breaths as she slowly walked over to the pikachu. She bent down and smiled. "Hi, I'm Alice and this is my Stufful. Who's your trainer?" She asked.

Jason had finally made it out of the crowd shaking he wasn't used to crowds Jason held his Eevee Sweetie in his arms making his way towards the Pokecenter to check Sweetie she had been jumping around in their cabin the entire voyage from Kanto and she was slightly hurt.

Jason ignored many of the other trainers focusing on hiding his face as always he didn't need more names because of his disfigurement that was what he wanted to escape.

Pikachu just watched as the Stufful ran around her and just smiled at it. She then saw Alice come and ask her the question. "Pika Pika (He's right there.) " Pikachu said pointing at her trainer who was at the counter.

Robert waited for Nurse Joy to be done with the egg's check up. She came back and handed Robert the egg. "Your egg is perfectly healthy," Nurse Joy said with a smile. "Thank you so much," Robert said and looked at his egg.

Jason kept his head down as he went into the pokecenter glancing at Robert as he finished and put Sweetie on the counter waiting to be noticed Sweetie was chewing her green scarf reminded of the old Nurse Joy she didn't like her

Dahlia kept racing around the Pokecenter, bumping into other Pokemon and legs, until she leapt back up onto the table in front of Alix. "Hey! Hey, wake up. Guess what? This place doesn't have a cafe like Alola! Where am I going to get Tapu Coco now? Are you listening?!" She yipped, placing both her paws on Alix's head and shoving her trainer. Alix looked up, "I think I know what you're complaining about. Dahlia you don't need more sugar."

Sali was rather silent to the other trainers that were also in the Pokémon Center, as she continued to wait with the boy for the large crowds of tourists to disperse. She looked down at the Pokémon that was still sitting on her lap, as she quietly whispered to him and the other Pokémon that rested on her shoulder, "Umm... need something to drink? You both look a bit tired there."

The boney turtle Pokémon silently shook his head, while the phoenix Pokémon gave a vague nod that seemed to demand attention to her content eyes. She quietly asked them while giving the bird Pokémon a special bottle that was full of clear water, "You two seem a little quiet, is there something that's bothering you both?"

The tortoise Pokémon timidly replied in telepathy, "Y- yes... it's j- ju- just... t- t- t- t- th.........."

Her eyebrows rose in concern to the Pokémon's rather unusual tone, as she said to him with increased worrying, "Hey, you don't have to hide anything. I'm not going to laugh even if it's embarrassing."

The Pokémon gave a silent nod while his teary eyes slowly gazed downwards towards her chest, as he continued on in his feeble reply, "Well... u- u- umm........ y- y- you... see... i- i- it's.... the p- peo- people... the p- people... t- to- too... many of t- th- them... t- th- th- they're... g- gi- giants, a- and so s- sc- scary!"

The Phoenix Pokémon slowly sipped on her bird-friendly bottle by putting her beak in the special nozzle, as she glanced over at the boney Pokémon with worried eyes. She quietly said him in the language of Pokémon, "You okay there? You look like a little baby that wants to get out of here. Oh wait a minute! Don't tell me... you want to run out of this place just because you're scared of the girls with their white clothes and pink hair... and you're also scared about this so called shot!"

The turtle Pokémon gulped the moment when he knew that the other Pokémon was truth bombing him, as his body trembled about with his amassed anxiety. His stomach felt rather chilly, as his sweaty palms helplessly struggled with his squirming feet to move out of his trainer's lap. His trainer kept her hands on him the moment when she saw him fussing about, as she uttered out to him in a faint tone, "Calm down there... you look like that one baby from the movie that wants to get out of something that's actually good." The Pokémon shook his head in disobedience, as she continued to hold him down on her lap with a modest grip; the other Pokémon continued to drink her bottle of water at a hatchling's pace.

Jason jumped as his phone rang he kissed Sweetie as Nurse Joy came over and moved a bit away picking up happy to hear his mother's voice as he quietly talked to her

Kaisa stepped off of the ferry, and straight into the fray of the town, trying to aim towards the distant Pokémon centre as his current priority was rest. Living back at Hoenn, where these kind of crowds were common, he had learnt that the masses naturally part for the sword Pokémon currently hovering in front of him, meaning that Kaisa could simply cut through behind Aegislash. Eventually, he arrived at the Pokémon centre.

Aegislash floated onto the counter, and Kaisa asked "Could you please give my Aegislash a rest, and myself as well?" Nurse Joy nodded, and her Audino carried the sword Pokémon onto the the table near the back, and the boy sat down at a table

Sweetie moved to Jason as he returned looking at what was a strange alien object to her "Calm down Sweetie I'm here now" Jason said softly using the same phrase his own Mother had used many times "Calm down I'll always be here" He said again stroking her

"Oh over there" Alice said. She turned and saw where the pikachu was pointing. A boy was standing with what looked like an egg. She slowly walked over to him, her lip trembling. She gently tapped him on the shoulder and said awkwardly, "Hi there, I'm Alice, Is that your pikachu over there?"

Robert was admiring his egg and felt some tap his shoulder. He turned to see a shy girl. "Hey there, my name's Robert," he introduced himself, "Yes that my Pikachu. Has it caused any you trouble?" Pikachu just pouted after hearing Robert say that.

Tilting his head curiously, Kaisa walked over to where several children around his age were talking, one of them holding an egg, and stood near the back, quietly listening

Drake finally gave up with his efforts to wake Kek instead following the old saying "If you cant beat them, join them.". He settled down on the ground beside his Poliwhirl, arms crossed behind his head so that he was looking straight up at the sky. He admired the clouds, they were no different to the ones back in Hoenn really. It was almost if he had taken part of the region with him. This thought comforted him despite the fact he was blocking the entrance to the Pokémon centre and getting some weird looks because of this.

Dustin toyed with the Pokeball around his neck for a moment. These tourists didn't seem to be leaving. Then his thumbs brushed agaist the button of the Pokeball casing it to open o reveal an Eevee wearing a scarf. "Vee," Eon said walking around the table.

"C'mon Eon," Dustin mumbled. In response the brown Pokemon jumped on Dustin's head and jumped to the floor to wander around. He saw two Pokemon he had never seen before. Trying to make friends with the strangers, Eon said in Pokemon speak, "My name is Eon, and I have a question. What kind of Pokémon are you? I've never seen Pokemon like you before."

Dustin stood up and walked over to his Eevee. "I'm sorry about Eon, he's a bit curious," he stammered, facing the two Pokemon's trainer.

Sali glanced down at the Eevee and the man that was with him, as she first replied to the man, "Oh umm... it's alright. I usually run into others who are curious to meet my Pokémon, especially those tourists outside that won't stop taking photos."

The Phoenix Pokémon replied to the Eevee in Pokémon speak after gently pulling the bottle's nozzle off of her beak, "Well, I'm who they call Pyravi, I'm the phoenix Pokémon that can revert in aging here, though I've really never done that before... I kinda don't have a nickname like that little turtle on my trainer's lap does."

After the Pyravi replied to the Eevee, the boney turtle Pokémon hesitantly said to the Eevee in telepathy, "U- umm... uhh... u- umm... w- we- well... I am Tortostó... I- I'm s- so- sorry if I'm t- ta- talk- talking like t- this... it's just t- th- that..."

He quietly sobbed on his trainer's lap as he continued on with his reply while sniffling, "It's j- just... u- umm... u- uhh... I- I- I- I... uhh..."

He could not seem to finish his response to the Eevee's question, as he still wept on his trainer's lap like a hatchling that was out of place. Sali looked down at the Tortostó and said to him in concern, "Hey, are you okay there? It seems like there might be something that's bothering you. Come on, talk to me... I'm listening here. I just want to know what's wrong alright buddy?" The Tortostó hesitantly withdrew his body into his shell in response to Sali's question, as his wails echoed out of his shell like a malfunctioning loudspeaker.

Alix scooped her rambunctious Eevee into her arms, having gathered her bearings long enough. She made a quick stop at the Pokemart inside, stocking up on healing items and Pokeballs, and even invested in a town map, before deciding she might as well get a head start for Flocessy Town. Holding her squirming Pokemon, Alix rushed for the door... only to roughly fall spectacularly onto her face with a nice smack against the ground. "Freaking. Ow." she looked behind her to notice the other trainer and Pokemon, lazing about on the ground right in front of the doorway. Oh well that's convenient and totally not a hazard.

"No not at all, my Stufful was just playing with it and I was just making sure if that was okay" Alice said. Candel was running around the Pikachu joyfully, he liked Unova so far. Pikachu was a very popular Pokemon in the Alola region, but Alice had never actually seen one up close, neither had Candel.

Pikachu seemed to enjoy seeing the Stufful run around. She was never allowed to play with random Pokemon while she was with her old trainer. "They both seem to be getting along already," Robert said with a smile, "You're not from this region aren't you?"

"Uhh no, I'm from Alola" Alice said, "Are you from around here?"
On the outside she was calm and collected, but on the inside she was jumping with joy, she was actually talking to someone and her anxiety wasn't interfering!

Zenix shook his head. "No, I'm actually from Kalos. Otherwise I wouldn't have a Pikachu," he said, "I heard that Pikachus are extremely rare Pokemon in the Unova region. None can be found in the wild."

The pleasant weather and the drowsiness inducing spiral on Kek's belly had almost allowed Drake to fall asleep, his eyes grew heavy, the world was becoming a haze but then a girl plummeted over him and landed in the dirt beside him. Funnily enough that makes it a little harder to sleep. Even Kek stirred slightly at the thud.

"Woah there, you alright miss?" Drake asked cautiously, quite wary that this girl with the pixie hair cut might blow up in his face about this. After all it was his fault, or at least partly, mostly his Poliwhirl's really. It took the trainer a few moments to roll over and get into a position in which he was standing and could offer any help to the poor lass. Offering her a hand up he gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that, I know its hardly the most appropriate stop to take a nap."

"Oh, that's interesting. Well Candel's species is only found in Alola. He looks pretty weak but he's actually really strong" Alice said. She walked over to Candel and picked him up, hugging him. "So are you travelling Unova?" She asked Robert.

"Yes. In fact we just arrived a few hours ago," Robert said as Pikachu jumped on his shoulder, "I figured I get away from Kalos for a bit. What about you, are you traveling Unova?" He then put his egg back into his backpack.

Alix glared at the trainer gently, wincing as the scrunching up on her face made a new cut on the bottom of her jaw sting. She then noticed the hand, and using her free hand (the other was holding a dazed Dahlia) to firmly grasp the boys hand and arm. Using the poor trainer as leverage she lifted herself to her feet, before dusting off her front half, dog tags jingling. "Would it have killed you to sleep a few feet to the left." She bit back a small mewl in pain, because damn her jawline cut was really stinging, and was she feeling blood dripping from it or was that just her? She lifted the back of her hand to press the wound lightly, wincing, and looked at the wet red splotch on her skin. "yup, I'm bleeding." She mumbled, not shocked or startled, mostly treating this new find like a major inconvenience.

"It wasn't really my choice where we slept I'm afraid" Drake said sheepishly, indicating to his Poliwhirl who was still laying comatose on the ground. A single bubble of drool formed in the corner of Kek's mouth, growing to about the size of an apple before popping loudly. Drake could have face palmed right there, why did this have to happen in front of the first trainer he met in Unova?

He winced when the girl announced her wound. Great now he had even more to apologize for, it was hardly going swimmingly between the two of them. "Ah damn, sorry about that.." He sighed, pulling a pack of tissues from his back pack so that he could hand her one. "Here, hopefully this helps with the bleeding. You uh, you dont sound like your from around here...mind me asking what your doing around these parts?"

Alix took the tissue and dabbed at the bloody scrape quickly, before pressing it there so it stuck, and then struggled in clipping a Pokeball from her waist, she recalled Dahlia before he Pokemon could recover and complain more. She dug swiftly through a pocket in her backpack and pulled on a simple bandaid, removing the bloody tissue and slapping the bandage on the cut. She looked back at the new trainer, he had apologized and his Pokemon was currently lazing like a Snorlax. She was being rude, "Oh, yea I'm definitely not from here. See I just came here from Kalos, but I'm actually from Alola. Uh..." She cleared her throat, before waving her arms in greeting. "Ahem, sorry, Alola, I'm Alix." She then stuck out her hand to shake with the new trainer, might as well try to clear up the awkwardness right? She crumbled the bloody tissue into her other hand in a fist, planning on tossing it later.

Drake was pleasantly surprised by Alix's answer. He had never met anybody from either Alola or Kalos so this was killing two birds with one stone. What a wonderfully multicultural experience this was already shaping up to be.

Taking her hand Drake gave her a confident smile, one that was extended by the scar on the edge of his mouth which contorted it into more of a smirk than the friendly look he intended it to be. "Its a pleasure Alix, I'm sorry we had to meet in such an...unorthodox style. But hey I'm Drake, Hoenn born and raised."

Letting go of her hand he pulled a great ball from his belt, holding out in front of him so that it was aimed squarely at Kek. A flash of red light later and the sleeping frog Pokémon vanished back into his portable home, still asleep presumably. Now feeling a lot less embarrassed Drake turned back to Alix and sheepishly said "Actually this is my first time outside of Hoenn, I'm planning on taking on all the gyms here. Cliché I know but I was always fascinated with the idea when I was younger."

"Yes, I plan to travel throughout Unova" Alice said, "I arrived a few hours ago"

Candel ran around playfully. He loved playing with other Pokemon about his size. "(This is fun!) Stu Stuff!"

"Say, I know we just met and all, but how about we travel together," Robert said with a smile.

Pikachu jumped down and ran to Candel. She tackled him down indicating she wanted to play wrestle. "Pika! (Gotcha!)"

"That's a great idea!" Alice exclaimed.

Candel rolled around and pulled out of Pikachu's grip. He didn't want to go to hard on her as he cold injure her. Candel ran around Pikachu and leapt over her. "(Can't catch me!) Styfful Stuff Stuff!" Candel exclaimed.

"Great! I guess this means we're traveling buddies now," Robert said with a smile and extended his hand for a handshake.

Pikachu happily ran after Candle. She was having fun playing with him.

"I wonder if anybody else here is travelling together" Alice said, looking around. Her eyes widened as she saw the huge snake like Pokemon. She walked backwards until she was holding onto the counter.

Candel noticed Alice backing away Andean over to her. He stood in front of her growling a little. "It's alright Candel" Alice said reassuringly. Candel looked at Alice and then ran back over to Pikachu.
