MoonLeaf wrapped her thick furred tail around her body, trying to stay as warm as possible. Leafbare had come, and the cold frosty air ran chills down each cat's spine. MoonLeaf yawned and reluctantly left her nest to use the dirtpatch. The cold air traveled through her as she left her den.

When she returned to her den, she shook her soft coat of fur, to relieve herself of the snow. She quickly hopped in her nest and curled back up. She once again dozed off into a deep sleep.

Shadewing shook out her pelt with a slight groan. The leafbare was really getting to her despite being pretty young compared to most of the clan cats. She was standing in the warrior's den thinking about the best way to avoid all these cats and get outside to maybe go hunting for a bit. She noticed Moonleaf come back in and lay back down, so Shadewing did her best to pick her way around the she-cat who still could be slightly conscious. In the shady darkness her grey pelt was hard to see and only her bright green eyes were completely visible.

Finally she leaped her way out of the den and sighed. "That was a lot more trouble than it should have been." She mumbled to herself as she padded across the clearing go the dwindling Fresh-Kill Pile. Shadewing frowned at its size and flexed her claws in hunger. Finally she tore her eyes away from the scrawny bites available and twisted towards the gorse tunnel. After flicking her tail in greeting to the cat on watch duty, Shadewing gracefully cleared the tunnel.

Out in the forest the ground was still stone hard from the cold. The plants were overly shriveled and a brownish color, and flattened underneath Shadewing's weight. After she stepped of the plants however, they did not spring right back up to its original shape. A small scuttling noise to her left alerted her of prey nearby. Swiftly she crouched and silently padded forwards until the prey was in sight. A small shrew scuttled near a health batch of Marigold and taking a few cautious nibbles of it. The poor thing didn't know what it was in for. Shadewing leaped and her hungry paws landed on top of the shrew, and with a neat bite the prey fell limp in her jaws. She grinned at her catch and breathed a prayer to StarClan for the wonderful catch. Then, full of happiness, Shadewing trotted back to camp with the shrew dangling from her jaws.

MoonLeaf twitched as she heard ShadeWing exit the den. ‘Probably just getting fresh air..’ She thought, rubbing her face with her paws. She yawned and quietly stretched out her legs. As sneakily as possible, she went out of the den, outside in the freezing air. She saw ShadeWing come back from the tunnel, a shrew in her mouth. MoonLeaf's eyes lit up.

SplashPaw was basically bouncing in her nest, she had been awake for a wile but stayed in the den as to not wake up anyone. Finally she heard a cat get up, peeking out of the den she saw the dark grey pelt of ShadeWing, she was leaving camp. 'Hunting?' She thought, and got to her pale grey paws. Looking at the fresh kill pile she twitched her one black ear, and smiled. 'I'll only be helping...should I tell somecat?' Deciding to tell MoonLeaf she padded out of the den, and welcome the cold air. Walking up to the warrior den, she saw the tortoiseshell and white she-cat. "MoonLeaf I'm going hunting." She whispered and ran into the forest to hunt.

--------
Bumbleclaw woke up with the sound of Moonleaf waking up and going outside. Right after she returned Shadewing left the den, and soon followed by Splashpaw telling the tortie and white she cat she was going hunting. Yawning, the golden and black tom decided to get up. He padded out of the den, careful not to wake any of the other warriors. Once outside he was met with the cold leaf bare air.

"Ahhhh cold!" He hissed lowly, cursing the snow. "I can't wait for new leaf, but can't do anything about it." He sighed. "I'll go on a solo patrol I guess." he thought to himself, before padding out of camp.

MoonLeaf eyed SplashPaw. "So early? All right, knock yourself out!" MoonLeaf whispered and pushed SplashPaw along. MoonLeaf yawned and glanced back to see BumbleClaw. She looked ahead at the Gorse Tunmel and thought,
'We have a lot of mouths to feed, and I can help.'
She crept out of camp and into the forest. She heard a shake in some bushes and immediately dropped low into a crouch. She lifted her tail and made sure her stomach wasn't dragging along. She flung at the bush, feeling the taste of blood in her mouth. She picked up her award, and in her jaws was a fat squirrel, hanging limply. Proud with her catch, she ran back and threw it in the pile.

SplashPaw's eyes watched the robin, waiting as she carefully stalked it. It stopped pecking at the ground and looked around, causing her to stop in her tracks. Soon it went back to pecking at the ground, carefully she launched forward and easily snapped the birds neck, killing it. She purred happily and picked up her catch. "MoonLeaf will be so proud that my waking her up had a good out come! The queens will love this!" She burred her catch and sniffed around for more prey.

When she padded back to camp she had two mice, a small water vole, and of course the robin. She dropped her prey into the fresh kill pile. She grabbed the robin and walked to the nursery, and set it at the entrance before sitting down outside the apprentice's den to clean her fur.

MoonLeaf sat by the fresh-kill pile. After dropping the squirrel, she licked her paws, rubbing her eyes. When she saw that SplashPaw had caught many animals, a purr rumbled in her throat. MoonLeaf padded over to her, and praised her catch.

“The Warriors will be so proud to have you once you're with us!” MoonLeaf playfully and gently cuffed SplashPaw's ear.

"Thank you MoonLeaf!" SplashPaw's eyes glowed with happiness at the praise. "I can't wait to be a warrior! Oh I almost forgo I have to check the elders for ticks! Bye MoonLeaf, you should eat you look like a starving rouge!" She purred as she padded toward the med den yo get mouse bile.

MoonLeaf trotted over to the pile and picked up a shrew. She teared it apart, the meat savor ing on her taste buds. She purred and ate more.

MoonLeaf finished her shrew and padded into the den. She shook her pelt in order to shake off the cold. She crept into her nest and curled up in a ball. She yawned and rested her head on her paws.

After taking care of the elders, SplashPaw padded out of the den and grabbed the smallest piece of prey she could find in the pile. After sitting down she started eating slowly and comfortably. Seeing some kits playing she picked up the rest of her prey and dropped it at their paws so they could eat, without bothering their mothers. "Kits are so cute!"

Bumbleclaw sighed at the young cats foolish, but kind gesture and grabbed a mouse before padding up to the grey and black apprentice. "You're so mouse brained sometimes." She said setting the mouse in front of her paws. "You need to have a proper amount of prey each day or you won't be of any use." After they ate they started play fighting.

"Don't you have a patrol you big goof?" SplashPaw purred, trying to catch her breath. Standing up she shook out her black and grey pelt, sending some snow and dirt flying, and hitting a random warrior. "Sorry she whispered at the grumbling warrior before she turned back to the golden and black tom. "I have fighting practice with the other apprentices. Bye BumbleClaw thanks for the company!" She then padded after the other apprentices, out of camp.

Icepaw yawned, it was a cold morning in Thunderclan, but the white she-cat was kept warm by the sleeping pelts of her clanmates. Icepaw wasn't the first one up, but she was still deciding to leave the warmth of the den. Icepaw then noticed that Splashpaw was missing from her nest. She probably went to make dirt or something... Icepaw thought and drifted back to sleep.

Icepaw was awoken by her stomach growling, She was extremely comfortable, but she needed food now, or she might collapse. Icepaw walked briskly over to the fresh-kill pile, and sniffed. Water flooded the apprentices mouth as she picked up a robin. It was fresh and very delicious. After eating, Icepaw saw her friend, Splashpaw, heading out of the tunnel. Oh! I have battle training today! Icepaw thought and rushed to catch up with Splashpaw.

SplashPaw was almost out of camp when she heard paw steps behind her, and turned her head to see IcePaw. "Hello IcePaw finally up I see!" SplahPaw purred at her white and silver spotted friend as she cuffed the other apprentices ear with seethed claws. "Your mentor was grumbling on how you need to wake up more early. I think my mentor needs to switch with yours, because my mentor is always sleeping too!" SplashPaw said as she padded next to her friend.

StrikeClaw wandered into the camp, finished with his hunting patrol. With him he had a mouse in each paw, and two in his mouth. Tossing them into the fresh-kill pile, he went to find something to do.

Icepaw laughed. "Yeah, I do need to wake up earlier. My mentor appreciate that." The apprentice mewed and Splashpaw cuffed her ear. Icepaw stuck out her tongue at her friend. When walking through the forest, Icepaw felt... safe. The thought of sleeping with your pelt exposed gave the apprentice shudders. Windclan is crazy to be able to do that. Icepaw was drawn out of her thoughts by one of the warriors announcing they were at the training hollow. We all go to sit down and listen to the warriors break us into groups and inform us the battle moves we were going to learn today.

SplashPaw slashed at her partner's belly with seethed claws, and flipped him over in a pin. "I win!" She purred, her tail swaying happily. Sitting down, slash paw lifted up a grey paw and started grooming herself, as a cold breeze rushed though her grey and black splashed fur. The apprentice shunt her bumble bee colored eyes and purred at the wind.

Clawmeow woke up in his cave very cranky as usual when eating fish he saw another cat named splash paw then saw her outside so Clawmeow pounced and slashed

MoonLeaf was training her young apprentice, RedPaw. "Flick your wrist, don't swat." She whispered firmly. RedPaw carefully and quickly flicked her wrist. She looked up at MoonLeaf excitedly. MoonLeaf grinned down at her. "Better. Now, let's keep practicing, okay?" RedPaw nodded, and they continued to practice.

Icepaw's partner lunged at her, but Icepaw stepped aside and gave the opponent nips on their legs. The attacker pounced at Icepaw once again, and Icepaw ducked and jumped on top of the other apprentice, pinning him to the ground in victory.
"Nice!" The apprentice mewed to her after getting up.
"Thanks!" Icepaw purred happily. Icepaw looked over at Splashpaw, she had been victorious as well. Icepaw smiled; and turned away to watch the warriors train.

Seeing IcePaw was finished, SplashPaw stood up and padded over to the white and silver spotted apprentice. "You won?" She asked with a purr. Once she was sat down, she wrapped her tail around her paws, and continued grooming herself with short, brisk licks to her chest. "Hey when we're older who do you think will be your mate?" SplashPaw said trying to pick up a conversation.

When Clawmeow Got Up He said in defeat " You May have won the battle This time, But Mark My Words you will rue the day you messed with me ." Climbing back in his cave he Called Meowclaw (his twin brother) I need your assistance Meowclaw Purred "Yes Brother what can I assist you with." These two cats named Icepaw and Splashpaw defeated me can you help me assassinate Meowclaw: "Of course brother I will assassinate them by time you have dinner

Icepaw looked up at Splashpaw. "Yep!" Icepaw meows happily. Splashpaw sat down and groomed herself. The pale grey and black apprentice smiled and began licking her tail. "Well, I don't know... I'm not sure I even want a mate or not..." Icepaw drifted off. "What about you?" Icepaw asked with curiosity.

SplashPaw blushed, "I-I uh I'm not sure...just trying to make conversation so don't look int anything!" She laughed awkwardly. SplashPaw continued grooming her pelt as the warriors and other apprentices finished up. Soon they were done and SplashPaw lead the way back to camp, matching step with IcePaw.

Icepaw let out a purr. "Alright." Icepaw snickered. "The apprentice noticed that every other cat was finished training, so they all returned to camp. Once they arrived, they were immediately greeted by kits running around and play fighting. Icepaw steps around them quickly. "Ugh, we have to search the elders for ticks; again." Icepaw groaned and padded over to the elder's den with her tail down.

"Ha Ha I finished my work this morning~" SplashPaw purred jumping over a light grey and ginger kit. "That's why I wake up so early, So I can finish and have the afternoon off." She puffed out her light grey chest in accomplishment. "But I can Help if you want. I don't want to be alone all day."

Icepaw smiled at Splashpaw. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but it would be nice to have some company." Icepaw meowed as she began to search through an elder's pelt. Icepaw bit down and picked off the tick, with the bug between her teeth, she crushed the tick and spit it out. "This is so gross..." Icepaw shuddered in disgust.

"I think its fun! And needed!" SplashPaw said as she spat out a tick. "The elders worked so hard so they deserve to be pampered!" She grabbed some mouse bile and put some on another tick. "Or I could just be a weirdo!" She purred.

Icepaw laughed through moss. "Well, it can be fun at times!" Icepaw exclaimed. "I do agree the elder's deserve some pampering, I guess." Icepaw meowed and pressed down on a tick. "Besides, they have been through a lot." Icepaw said after spitting out another tick. I hope we're almost done... Icepaw thought.

When they were finished SplashPaw bounded out of the elders den, paw steps matching IcePaw's as they made heir way to the river. SplashPaw jumped into the freezing cold river making a huge splash and making some spray on her friend. "Oops?" She said holding in a laugh, before she started cleaning the bile off her paws.

Icepaw stuck her tongue out and jumped in after her friend. "Now I know why they call you Splashpaw!" Icepaw exclaimed and washed the mouse bile off her paws. "Brr! This water is cold!" Icepaw complained and shook her pelt.

"I have no clue why they call you IcePaw, you can't stand a little cold water, much less ice." SplashPaw challenged, splashing more water at the white and silver apprentice. Her bumble bee yellow eyes shone with amusement at her friend soaked in water.

Icepaw splashed her friend back. "I can handle this water just fine!" Icepaw remarked. Icepaw's tail lashed in embarrassment. Icepaw sniffed her paws. Ugh, I need to clean my paws off even more! Icepaw thought with annoyance.
