Update.

My most recently made one:

I decided I'd stop using a fixed style for a bunch of sigs, and just mix and match this one. Go with the flow, do what I wanted. I'm liking my result ;)

If anyone wants a tutorial for it in the school, shout and I'll whip one up.



Speaking of fixed styles, I've found myself some stuff on a more abstract style of image and made myself a wallpaper for it.



If anyone is interested in the tutorial itself, gimme a shout.

I will if you have absolute screenshot proof, or have Aura post here in person, that Aura gave you permission to use her signature image in your signature space. Because I know for one I certainly didn't.

And I have proof if you have a guilty conscience and remove it, so don't worry :)



If she did, then by all means I'll add it to the list but I'd rather not get my work and another's request 'borrowed' without permission, as I'm sure you'd condone too.



Edit: Confirmed it with Aura, she didn't give permission so I'm leaving this one with the mods (Magpie already knows at the very least).

Let me note first- with all of the examples in the first post it was very hard for me to copy the form. With my computer having to download them (very, very slowly), the screen kept moving upward. Just saying. Good stuff anyway.

This thread belongs to LoN. If you want to make Signatures, post your own thread in the Artworks Forum, but don't try to set up a shop in someone else's.

Also, if you are going to post your own topic, you'll need a couple of examples of your own work. That way people can see what to expect ^^

As Alex pointed out, seems you were requesting. Sorry for the mix up, the text about the shop was obviously taken from the first page, which I did check for but obviously missed. Apologies ^^;

I like it, personally. As for who she actually is, she remains a random anime person with that name that I just came up with :p I personally have no idea what she's 'in' or whatever.

I may use a character with similar characteristics and that name in a fanfic... if I write one.

I also can't decide whether I managed to get the balance between the focal point, background and text right (ie, none overpowers the others). Opinions on that, or just the image would be useful :)

It appears that you indeed take requests, and seeing how I'm a total fail at graphics, well, I try, but you seem much better in my opinion, think you could make me a sexy Weavile signature. My only request is you keep it fairly dark, and I'm not too particular about the image used, but if you need one of Weavile I have some decent cut-outs.

If you have any higher quality images of Scizor... that'd be useful. General rule of thumb, the higher quality stock means a better outcome in the signature.

But you know what would be reeeeeeally helpful? Saying why its good. That way I know what works and I can use it in more of my signatures for people, and improve myself as well.

Anyone really, even if its not yours, feel free to pop in and criticise... having something back would be really useful by now ::)

I don't like it.

Technically, it's a good piece. The dark, smoke like background brings out and renforces the idea of the flame burst. The colours of the flame are well done, making it look like a real fire rather than a child's attempt.

However, I'm not a big fan of the shape of the flame, though thinking about it it does look a little like the Fire Blast (I'll google that later) attack that some critters have. I realise this is an abstract piece, but the total shape just looks a tad too odd for me; I think it's the slight curl attatched to the upper left arm.

The colour of the text looks slightly too pinkish - and I know you love hiding the text like this so that it doesn't overpower the picture, but I feel this one is a little too hidden.

I can't really say what would make it better, beyond de-pinking the text, perhaps using a slightly different font, to better join with the idea of 'abstact' (a serif font doesn't really do it for me) and slightly changing the flame (so that it looks a bit like a katherine wheel gone hideously wrong?).

For the most part your work is very good compostion wise.

Thank you! :o You don't know how nice it is to receive some true constructive criticism for once. Well, you probably do. But hey :D

I can see why you dislike the shape, and thats fair enough. This was experimenting with a tutorial to learn some new ideas and tricks.

As for text... I've been struggling with text since the beginning of me making these. Its SO hard to get right, so thanks for your opinion there.

I might do... but things have been nagging at me recently. I'm kinda annoyed that in some cases people have asked for a signature to be made, yet they hardly post much at all here. And some even leave after that...

So I'll probably just finish off this one for you, OranRi, and then implement a post count limit, or something.

Edit: Actually... no. Not in the mood. If you get some more posts here... I might be inclined to make it.
