Occupation: Gym leader(Freedom Badge)

Location: Moro Island, Orange Archipelago

Gym rules:
-1 to 6 Pokemon (determined by a die roll) Double battle optional if a 2-4-6 is rolled

-The challenger will spin a wheel to randomly choose which region’s pokemon the gym leader will use (1 to 8 )

-The Gym leader and the challenger are allowed to substitute Pokemon at anytime

-No time limit


Choo is running the only Gym in the Orange Archipelago that is all about straight battles. His goal is to make the challenger able to face a real situation and this, when it happens, to deal with the present moment and to be focus on what they are doing. To win, they will need to be one with their Pokemon. This Gym leader has been travelling a lot to collect all of his Pokemon. He wants to surprise the opponent with Pokemon most of them have never seen before, adaptability and improvisation will be needed. Facing Choo in a battle is the best to know if you are really ready for the full battle against the champion.


He was born and raised on Sunburst Island. When he was 19, his parents decided to move to the big city, Saffron City. Not being able to leave the paradise of the Orange Archipelago, he decided to move to Moro Island and became the fifth member of the Orange Crew and the first and only Gym in the area.


Choo is often compared to Red because of his habit of keeping the same six Pokemon for his entire journey. The fact that gym leaders and opponents knew his exact team didn’t matter because Choo’s Pokemon are so high level that he could manage to win every tournament everywhere he went. He only has a total of 48 Pokemon.
