    Then perhaps you should consider Conkeldurr. Whilst it may not have the Fire STAB of Infernape, it does learn Fire Punch, and anything coming off a base 140 attack stat is gonna hurt. Also, Mach Punch cancels out the speed advantage of Infernape. Guts makes it a support Pokemon's worst...

    Why don't you use the method I suggested? It rewards participants for their excellent performances in the group stage by giving them a challenger of seemingly lesser quality.
