Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Absol stumbled and fell onto his side, fainted.Gabriel ran forward and crouched down next to him. "Well done buddy." She whispered, sending him back into his ball. She stood up and faced Alan, grinning. "Good battle. Dinner it is then."
Absol was weakening fast, Gabriel knew she had to get some critical hits on the charmander if she was going to win.
"Absol, use Scratch!" (Deals damage with no additional effect)
Absol was knocked backwards, but managed to stay standing. Gabriel wasted no time in yelling out her counter attack.
"Absol, use Perish Song!" (Makes the opposing pokemon faint in three turns)
"Ok...deal. " She crouched down next to Absol. "Ready for a second chance bud?" She asked. Absol nodded, and ran forward to take his place in front of her. Gabriel stood back and waited for Alan to release his Pokemon.
As soon as endurance class finished, Gabriel headed in the direction of next class. She decided after this mornings disaster with battling that she would sit and watch this time, and maybe train her Pokemon some more. Her mind wandered back to the Squirtle and his trainer. Speaking of the...
"Oh, hi, congrats on finishing! That was fun." She smiled at him. The she turned to look at Mike on the ground and her eyes narrowed again. "Yeah, let me know if he needs both of us to be able to stand." She finished sarcastically and walked off to talk to the others.
Gabriel crossed the finish line seconds after Mike. She looked at him, laying sprawled on the ground, and felt anger rise inside her. She didn't know why, but she hated when people beat her at the last second. She knew it was selfish but after today she didn't care. Absol came bounding up to her...
Gabriel looked up, and saw that they had almost completed the lap. She grinned, and looked at Absol, gave a slight nod, then started sprinting ahead of Alan. She turned and called over her shoulder as she ran "Just because I'm hanging out with you doesn't mean I'm gonna let you beat me to the...
Gabriel looked at Absol as she took in everything she had heard. "Wow...that must have been really harsh, having such a controlling father. At least you're here, doing what YOU want to do with your life, and not being forced to work somewhere you don't want to."
"Well, my home life was pretty boring to be honest, kinda normal really, then...my parents got a divorce and I went to live with my dad. He was a Pokemon breeder at the time, and he got me interested in Pokemon training, after that, I pretty much got bored of just waiting for life to come to me...
"Uh, sure." She smiled. "It's fine, I had to go charge up Absol's Pokeball after todays battle anyway." Absol looked up at Alan, he wasn't used to having someone other than Gabriel who could keep up with him, most of the time at home, he would be showing off in front of all of the younger people...
Gabriel grinned, she didn't mind running that much. "Ready guys?" She asked her Pokemon. Minun and Plusle were standing on Absol's back, holding on tight, Absol looked up at her and nodded, ready to run along side her. This was one of their typical routines at home, they would race each other...
As soon as she was out of sight, Gabriel let Absol out of his Pokeball, and hugged him. Absol was confused, but didn't try to pull away. Minun and Plusle jumped off of Gabriel's shoulder and onto his back. "Come on guys, we gotta go get ready for next class, I think its Endurance class next...
For some reason I stopped getting alerts for this discussion. None of my three pokemon evolve, and I'm not planning to catch anymore in safari class, because I don't think it will help with the story right now. I'll be over by the obstacle courses for most of the lesson I guess, I don't mind...
Gabriel walked past four boys, coming from the direction of the elevator. She didn't pay much attention to them, as she was heading to the nurses office to get Absol's Pokeball charged up, but she saw one of them give her a mean look, so she just walked straight past them, making a point of...
