Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Aria smirked, the battle was hers to lose now! With Volcorona Vulnderable, Flygon could strike at any minute.
"Flygon, finish this off!"
Quickly, Flygon burst through the ground from directly under Volcorona, striking it once in the air, then turning around and smacking it with her tail to...
Flygon reeled in the flames, taking far more damage than Aria was comfortable with. She couldn't keep up with a supercharged Volcarona for much longer, but she had a few more tricks up her sleeve.
"Flygon, use Rock Slide around yourself! Then, you need to escape!"
Flygon obeyed, surrounding...
Is the four move limit a hard rule? I thought of a good combination but that'd mean my Flygon would have used at least 5 moves in the battle. No big deal if I can only use four, I'm more just wondering.
Another thing to note is that if Aria wins, it would inflate her ego even more seeing as she beat (in her eyes) the only real competition to her, which could set her up to lose later.
I'm thinking maybe Aria should win, but at the same time it doesn't matter too much to me
Aria grimanced. Crimson was good, and she was having difficulty keeping up. She could try Sandstorm again, but with the upgraded power from Quiver Dance it was probably pointless. She had to get rid of the hurricane somehow, but she wasn't sure she could conjure up an attack strong enough...
Flygon took the silver wind head-on, twisting around in it as she was buffeted by it. Eventually, Flygon righted herself and spread her wings, taking the gusts and attempting to use them to her advantage. The boosted power from the Quiver Dance meant that it only sort of worked, and Flygon took...
Aria smirked, letting her body fill with the pre-battle rush of adrenaline. Calmly, she raised both hands above her head, joining them, before letting Flygon's Poké Ball tumble to the floor and open up. "It's showtime, Flygon!"
The Spirit Pokémon materialized again, and the two spun around in...
Aria fished in her handbag for Flygon's Poké Ball. He was probably her best choice for an air to air fight with Volcorona, and she couldn't account for his other Pokémon since she didn't know them. She calmly walked to one side of the field and laid her bag down by her feet. "Well, shall we begin?"
Aria felt her stomach sink as Miel was helped out of the room. This teacher had just intimidated a kid into having a panic attack! This had to be a joke, right? There's no way the school would hire so many underqualified teachers, right? She wasn't scared of her, though. She had survived high...
Aria twitched slightly. Was every single damn person in this building determined to touch a nerve of hers in one way or another? This "coach" was treating them like bottom feeders, and it had already worn her patience. But she knew when to pick her battles, and now was not the time. But...
Aria responded to Crimson's question excitedly, she was proud of her ribbon even if victory had been assured. "Yeah, I stayed with some family in Sinnoh over the summer and picked up a ribbon while I was there." Aria turned to look up - way up, this guy was tall - and felt something nudge...
