Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Ray sat silently as the others conversed, considering what to do next. Upon further contemplation, he realized that there was no way Micheal would be willing to go along with his plan, and as law-enforcement Zak's presence wouldn't exactly help the situation... In addition, there was a high...
Typhlosion heard Oliver enter the cafe and turned toward the door just in time for one of Ray's pancake-frisbees to hit him in the side of the head. Ray attempted to suppress his laughter as he turned around to see what his pokemon what looking at.
"H-hold on, Azumi! Don't you recognize him?"...
Ray was overcome with feelings of guilt upon hearing Azumi's story. He often neglected to hold himself, or the organization he was once a part of accountable for such things...
"I-I'm so sorry..." was all Ray managed to say before Zak entered the room. He eyed the man with contempt. As of late...
Ray sighed. He was expecting this kind of reaction, but he wanted to be honest with his intentions anyway... He took a deep breath before continuing.
"Not in Laverre city, but just outside it... The Lost Hotel - have you heard of it? It's home to a lot of shady people, and I found out recently...
"Well, I don't think we should stay here much longer..." Ray said to Azumi. "It's only a matter of time before they find us... Hell, with Micheal bouncin' around the city like he owns the place, it wouldn't surprise me if they're already on their way..." he half-joked.
"But In terms of where to...
"Well, my interaction with Micheal involved a lot of unnecessary tower-climbing and bickering, as you can probably imagine..." Ray responded to Azumi.
He sat down and helped himself to some pancakes as Otis recounted their encounter with the Pichu. He snickered to himself as Micheal fled the...
Clara's earthquake caught Ray off-guard and he almost fell over but thankfully Typhlosion caught him in time.
"W-what's going on? A Pichu?" It took a moment for Ray to connect the dots. "Wait a second - did you say Ollie? So you're Ollie's pokemon?" A sinking feeling overcame Ray... that must...
"Oh right, Micheal did mention that..." Ray responded. "That must've been rough... I've seen what kinds of inhumane experiments they do to enhance their pokemon - I'm just glad you all made it out alive..." Ray tucked away Mistreavous's pokeball and tried not to think about whether his own...
Ray sighed as Micheal berated him before handing over his pokeball and jumping away. But despite Micheal's unfriendly behaviour, Ray was extremely grateful to the boy for getting his pokemon back.
He stared at the ball in his hand... He was too scared to open it - it had been in Tempest's...
"W-WAIT, WHAT!?" Ray exclaimed. "YOU FOUND MISDREAVUS!?" He saw Micheal begin to loosen his grip on the pokeball... "HEY HEY HEY! STOP THAT YOU PYSCHOPATH! I'LL COME UP, JEEZ..."
Ray got on top of Typhlosion's back and the pokemon leaped precariously up the tower. "Ugh, I can't believe you're...
Ray arrived at the base of the tower and beckoned for Micheal to come down. Given the condition of his leg, he didn't feel like trying to climb up...
"Alright, Micheal, I'm here - what do you want?" he said in a somewhat impatient tone. He was worried that someone was going to see them...
~~~...
"Ugh, he's an obstinate lil' bugger..." Ray sighed and stood up from the bed. "I'll go see what he wants, then..." He returned his pokemon (with the exception of Typhlosion) and started to gather his things.
"Well, it's not like your comments were unwarranted..." he responded to Azumi's apology...
Ray was holed up in his room studying some blueprints that he'd found deeper in the lab. His pokemon lounged about the room outside of their pokeballs, fiddling with broken bits of machinery on the floor and napping intermittently. Ray didn't know exactly what he was looking at, but it appeared...
Ray delved deeper into the labyrinth-like tunnels of the abandoned Lysander Labs. As he progressed he noticed his surroundings becoming more and more decrepit: the lights were flickering on and off, and the floors were littered with debris... There were some strange circular panels on the floor...
"Look, this is all I have,'kay?" Ray responded to Azumi frustratedly, getting up from under a tablecloth. "I'm not deceiving anyone here, there'd be no point... I don't have a home, I don't have friends; hell, if we make it out of this alive, I don't even have the slightest idea of what to do...
Ray felt terrible when Azumi walked past him with that mistrustful quip. He understood her frustration: it's not like he was trying to keep secrets - but Totodile's history was not his to disclose. Even though Ray was no longer involved with Team Rocket, the rule never to rat out another member...
"You destroyed it all right... But me and Totodile were actually planning to-" Ray stopped himself, realizing that he was on the verge of revealing some incriminating information about the pokemon... He was getting a little hot-headed. Seeing that he had offended Azumi, he took a deep breath and...
Ray didn't even bother trying to explain what he was doing when Azumi walked by... Then he heard Micheal's inquiry.
"Actually, Azumi, wait up! What did happen to Totodile and that kid? Errr... his name was Oliver, I think... I was trying to save him, y'know! But then you came in and caused a...
Rey returned Dusknoir and Corsola since the Admin appeared to have retreated for the time being.
"Glad that's dealt with..." he sighed in relief and wiped some sweat off of his brow. He turned to Micheal and answered the boy's question:
"Well... Soap Operas typically go something like this...
"Nice one, Corsola, now use Head Smash on Oshawott!"
"CorSOLAAA!!!" the coral pokemon took on the aspect of a mighty boulder and charged head-first toward the small otter...
At the same time Ray gave Dusknoir a covert signal to use Shadow Sneak, and the ghost-type rematerialized behind the...
