Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Most of them want to be left alone. Others would actually fight FOR the little guy. Some are mere observers. And yes, some are utter dicks, but if these guys start running around and trying to off any rare Pokemon that has stories about it, sooner or later even isolationists would take notice...
Again - point of the matter is. Legendary Pokemon are not all cut from the same cloth. Some of them are very definitely species rather than one offs. Lesser legends may have more common Pokemon that can give them a good run for their money. Greater Legendaries would take armies to wear out, even...
Well, which is it, then? Hardly solves the problem, just exhausts a whole damn lot of resources which the legendary in Question can later shake off and vaporize the fools with a single breath if they get too uppity.
... I'm not exactly sure where exactly you're coming from regarding "different ideas how legends work". I am literally going with how you specifically stated in your thread that not only they sought to hunt down and destroy 'every legendary', but they also seemed to kill them - while here you...
Especially when you take into account that Legendaries - barring a few particular pokemon - are not one-off creatures and are definitely not all of one mind.
The entire leaning on "So a particular legendary was kind of a bastard because they infringed on its territory and it was ignoring them because it was full of itself, THEREFORE ALL LEGENDARIES MUST BE STRICKEN DOWN EVEN THOUGH outside the realm of the actual game there's no chance in fuck we can...
Again, why would the legends have stepped in? What possible reason would legendary pokemon have to involve themselves in the development of Pokemon society? Most of them don't really give a shit, and Rayquayquay, even for legendary standards, is kind of a Territorial Giant Green PINGAS in...
But your setup presents this as 'historical fact' for the setting, and in a way that may also imply that these past events have long-reaching results that affect shit to this very day and may actually lead into the main plot itself, and that is not exactly something you can run without getting...
If it was merely a case of 'so there's all sorts of folk tales from 120 years ago about how someone or other took down a bunch of legendaries' but none of these were really supported by any actual evidence and were probably a mish-mash of oral traditions, folk tales and what have you, and this...
Legendaries also don't exactly get involved in the affairs of "lesser" Pokemon unless they absolutely have to. If you wanted them "removed" all you had to do is simply... you know... not involve them.
What would have stopped PMDverse Pokemon society from going that direction eventually anyway, even without leaning on some oblique reference to how the protagonists of the first game apparently mc-freaking-lost-it and went on a boss rush?
The most ridiculous part of this all is that this entire backstory fiasco is completely and utterly redundant. It contributes absolutely nothing to the plot which appears to take place over a century after the supposed events of the game.
Ergo the idea that a pair of first-form Pokemon (even if they have unlocked the evolution tree nonsense) running around and defeating (or killing for that matter) ALL OF THE LEGENDARIES, ALL OF THEM, is beyond nonsensical.
Remember that RPs do not take place within the setting of the games, and the "Game Protagonists Meet And Defeat All Legendaries As Part Of The Plot/Collectathon" is little more than a game mechanic.
Specifically you seem to have not noticed the sentence "Therefore, the presence of Legendary Pokémon here is heavily regulated and must be authorized by one of the PRP moderators - this goes for owning, befriending or even having a wild Legendary appear in a storyline.", or the entire section...
No, not all RPs are connected - but the presence of Legendaries as part of a story is regulated under our rules, which you should actually read in-depth rather than just skimming.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to stop you all right there.
Until Pokémon Sword and Shield are officially released, no Pokémon from Galar may be used in the RP forum - and yes, that includes Sobble.
Therefore, Lightning-the-emolga here is going to have to make a new character that is...
Hard veto on this one. The involvement of legendaries in the back story of this without receiving permission isn't acceptable. You should review our RP forum rules before attempting to start a thread.
Hi - in the time period you were gone, there's been a change in our rules - and account sharing is no longer permitted. So if there are indeed two of you behind this account - one of you is going to have to make their own account and transfer this account to the other.
Don't worry - you aren't...
