I'll start off with a disclaimer: I am by no means an expert at color theory or shading, though I've done a lot of self-studying for a while now and I wanted to share a bit of what I learned.

@Pokemon Master Blue it's hard to learn in the sense that grammatically it's very different from English. There are also very few cognates with English (essentially, words that sound similar and mean the same thing) and you'd have to learn three different writing systems if you want to read it...
Nah, all of these are hobbies as opposed to what I wanna do as a living! I don't think of them as backup plans, just stuff I enjoy doing and sharing online.
it's a popular PC game by Toby Fox, you can playthroughs of it on youtube or you can download the game from Steam for just $10. It's a very well-made game and I highly recommend playing it if you can!

You can make a sprite using any image editing software! I use Paint since it comes with all windows computers for free, other people use other programs.
