    Well, it's a different Voltron, so I figured that it'd make sense to have different colored lions. And yes, the OCs will have Lions. You could probably have non-Paladin OCs too, they just wouldn't be from the other reality. For consistency, I'll refer to the OC reality as the "other reality".
