Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
"Mother is not doing the best and I don't think the drift between her and Octia is doing any favours. Other then that, hmmm. Nothing of importance," Rhys shrugged and kicked his feet up. He rubbed his wrists before spinning his cane, "just got out of a rather stressful meeting before this party...
"Not bad. Business has been good but we have been fortifying more then everything," Rhys shrugged his shoulders and watched his sister leave before turning to Avain, "how have you been? I hope the wife hasn't been driving you up the wall"?
Octia nodded in acknowledgement. Her fake arm's hand tightened when her brother walked back over and she waved, "I have to go. I have things to check on so Rhys will be taking over this little talk".
Rhys waved as he strolled over. Patting his sister as she passed him.
Octia nodded before she turned toward Avain's men. Her eyes scanning over his numbers before she kicked her feet up, "so. You thought it was a good idea to pretend to be your own body double? Risky but I guess it payed off. You aren't dead yet".
"I'll get on putting my sentries out once I get back," Octia hummed and pulled her hair back. She shook her head and looked around be place, "I've been fine. Busy but fine. Why'd it have to be a wedding. That's not cool, ruined his daughter's big day just to get a cheap shot in".
"Good choice," Rhys nods before he whistles. Three of his own guards walked in and started to search for survivors, "I'm gonna check for any squeakers. Octia? Stay and talk".
Octia nodded and pulled a chair over. She was wrapping a wound that a young noble had gotten before sitting up, "another...
"I suggest you get the kids out of the country. With the way this looked. I wouldn't trust my kids to be safe after something like that," Rhys shook his head and slid his cane sword back into his sheathe. He watched his sister's fingers turn back to normal and the ruins settle again, "can I be...
"Why is it that whenever we meet its usually in these situations," Octia sighed and shook her head before she grabbed an incoming sword and used her flesh hand to sink a dagger into the softer parts of the attackers, "so how's the kids and the whore"?
Rhys pulled back when he was given more...
"Rhys! Cut them down," Octia yelled as she slid and grabbed a serving tray. She spun and slammed the edge into a soldier's neck. The fingers of her prosthetic arm shifted as runes along its length lit up. The edges turning into claws that she used to slash.
Rhys chuckled and charged at the...
Octia looked over and moved about the guests. Her hand slid to herside and she pulled at a tie that held her skirts up. The ranger slid from under them and shifted with ease into the pants and boots she had worn underneath. Her fist slammed into an attacker and she turned to snarl at lord hunt...
Octia strode towards her brother. The two nodding to eachother subtly as both kept eyes on their surroundings. The sister flexed the fingers of her prosthetic arm while Rhys played abit with his deceptive cane.
"The King. We are old friends," Octia pulled her bangs out. Her eyes caught the gleam of a knife and the tension in the air but didn't say anything about it. She turned to look at her brother before curtsieing, "I must return to my brother. It was nice to meet you".
Octia nodded and tilted her head. Her head turned to watch her brother as he became the usual social butterfly he was before turning back to Marius, "and here I was hoping to speak with my old friend. Business can't wait forever".
"Octia Vixtornus," the archer hummed and once he had let go of her hand and rested it on her chest. Her eyes scanned the man over before looking around, "so what brings you to a party like this one"?
Octia continued to move through the crowd. Her back straight and hands clasped infront of her as she moved with practiced ease. She spoke carefully with a few people in passing while others she stopped to speak to.
Octia and Rhys stepped into the wedding. Both were wearing some of their finest clothes and the siblings split up almost immediately to cover ground. Smiles up as they spoke to the higher ranked people.
Bell smoothed herself up and walked to her carriage to meet her sisters, who were already there. She sat across from her sisters and looked at Amie. The youngest watching Gabil leave through the window of the carriage. Her shoulders slumped. Bell raised her head and knocked so the drive could...
"You've seen her face," Bell seemed to freeze. She dropped her old on Gabil and stood straight, "you asked for her hand correct? You want to marry my sister? Do you want to know something".
"Read my lips," Bell leaned closed to his face and raised her mask so that he could see her lips, "she...
"Was it Amie that told you her name," she hissed and reached out to grab his shirt. Her body moving after her hand to pin him to the opposing wall of the hall, "tell me what you like about her. What is drawing you to her".
