Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
The Bulbasaur stopped short at seeing the anonymous human step forward with confidence. "Where are Jack and Vain?" It spoke defiantly. Lena didn't waste any time chatting; vines extended from the seed on her back for the purpose of tying up this person.
"I'd like to know as well. Honestly it's like those memories have been...blocked off, or something like that." Kaylie rubbed her head tiredly.
The unknown human stood again and rubbed away her tears. "No time for this. I should get out of here." Her face was red from crying but she pushed...
Kaylie blinked in confusion. The floating had stopped, and now she could recognize who was talking. "...Nap? Oh, cuts." She mutely stared at the marks before finally replying. "Can't remember, I know...fighting, but...not much else. And...who is 'she'?"
"Gotta get...up...smash...it..." The girl trainer wasn't certain where she was, but the floating feeling and pain seemed familiar. In desperation, she threw a couple weak punches at whatever was in reach. It didn't seem to affect much, but she wasn't immediately sure.
The mysterious person had...
"Vain, what the heck's going on!" The girl on the floor inquired furiously. Spearow's beak opened and he hopped off her back then. That was when the Bulbasaur chose to dangle the unknown person in the air. "Jack! You evolved, but then-" Jack had started hyperventilating, and went into a panic...
"No!" The figure shouted, before grinning widely and flickering. "What the heck, Vain!" The human there shouted at Kaylie's bird who gave another sharp dig into it's back. It slowly and cautiously reached the free arm up to pet her flying type. Lena was not convinced by the show of affection to...
The unknown human tried getting out of the way, but was hit by the claw. The force of the attack combined with being restrained caused it to topple onto the ground. It swore violently while struggling and flailing on the ground, doing little to secure freedom since only one arm was loose. Vain...
The disguised figure reacted in surprise, though a small smile formed on its face. "What are you talking about?" It spoke in a slightly deeper pitch than before, causing Jack to stumble backwards. Staunch waddled forward and grasped a leg firmly, Lena's vines securing an arm and other leg...
Kaylie ran downstairs once she was finished with checking out her room. "I'd take the house. You guys wouldn't care too much about it anyway." She interrupted in a dispassionate tone. Jack seemed alarmed at her sudden change of mood, and stared up at her the same way a dog might.
Jack's comically large ears flapped as he picked up the sounds of Kaylie's friends approaching the house. Vain mocked his ears for a moment, then swooped down to the entrance in order to greet them. The other three only paused to acknowledge Mist and Donovan's arrival, then continued examining...
"I'm going to stay here!" The girl trainer called before the door shut. "Let's go look at my room. I've been walking around for most of the time." She encouraged her team, and the five of them went upstairs to explore, pokemon making various small noises from their cries and claws hitting the floor.
"Y'know what?" Kaylie laughed quietly, wondering why in the world she was thinking of this now. "This whole thing has probably ruined social opportunities for us. We were seen with a dead body and some random guy, who has a loose (and totally not mega evolved) Gengar running around now." Kaylie...
Kaylie just stood there confused, watching the unusual healing process. She got closer and sat on the other side of the fainted boy silently, trying not to disturb Mist. Her pokemon stood in a square formation around the three humans in case they needed protecting.
The trio of napping pokemon snapped to attention by the sudden appearance of their friend and assumed the worst, running or flying to the doorway respectively and left Staunch little choice but to roll after them quickly. The Bulbasaur opened the door with her vine to see Donovan's team standing...
She smiled at the kid reassuringly, pushing back her own fear in order to appear unconcerned. "Don't worry. Staunch can go after him, right?" She interrupted the mouse's sneaking away, and he turned with a disbelieving look on his face before scuttling off to take a couple of his teammates with him.
Kaylie ignored Imhotep, more focused on the fact someone had left the house. "Mist, did you say Donovan is gone?" Staunch glanced back at the door with a plan to go after the boy, his clawed toesteps making little sound against the floor.
Kaylie was starting to feel weird, so she began to walk around to get rid of the feeling. A nameless horror seemed to be lurking the house despite the Mimikyu's guard. Staunch the Sandshrew noticed too, and left the playroom to wander with his master.
Kaylie made a face, and since Mist was taking care of Donovan, she decided to go check on her team. Lena greeted her with a quiet, raspy sound and scooted over to give her space. The trainer huddled between the grass type and Jack peacefully. Lena gave her a meaningful look at which the trainer...
"It's okay, you are most certainly not dumb. Now you'll have time to figure it out, right?" The girl trainer patted Donovan's back comfortingly. She was not surprised by the turn of events, having sensed his negative emotions when he started talking.
Jack flinched at the loud sobs, still in...
Without much options on what to do, Kaylie took out every non-breakfast item and set it on the counter in preparation for making a meal, pretending to ignore her friend's face covering.
Vain lowly cawed the story to Lena and Staunch. Once he was finished, the Bulbasaur muttered a "Saur..." and...
