    "Yeah, I'm a trainer." Marina replied. "And Jay, you seem to be having a problem with your eye. Go fix it." Crest jumped into a tree, still watching the other trainers.

    "I'm good. Nice to meet you too, Lana!" Marina responded, and Crest relaxed a little. Seeing this, Mach and Carius left to be with the other pokemon. Marina saw Jay looking a little on edge. "Oh, he just stopped battling, so I came to find you guys."

    Marina watched Elio approach. "Who's that?" She inquired, looking at Lana. Carius stepped back as Mach took his place. Crest wasn't sure what was going on. He kept an eye on Infernape, watching for any threatening movements.

    Crest stopped talking to his friends and stood next to Marina, frowning. Carius walked up to his trainer and went on the other side of her, while everyone else watched from a distance.

    Marina wasn't fazed by Mokuba running off to wherever, or the other trainers leaving. She was totally focused on the battle, as was Carius, who was still trying to use Grass Pledge on Hydreigon.

    "Good job, buddy. He's getting weaker, keep going." Carius kept the shield up for a short time, then ran between a couple more Dragon Pulses and tried to hit Hydreigon with Grass Pledge.

    Without time to change his plan much, Carius took out his shield and used the Hammer Arm on Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse, making an explosion. He hid behind his shield to block most of the damage, waiting for his trainer to come up with a plan.

    Carius responded by pulling out his shield, successfully blocking the hit. Then he ran back over to Hydreigon, preparing a Hammer Arm. Marina realized Hydreigon's strategy, and said "Carius, stay close to it. I hope this works."
