I think the CG on the pokemon and backgrounds look fine, it's just the humans that look awful. I'm also surprised they didn't just get rid of Misty/Brock like in Movie 20 and replace them with new characters, the whole thing feels like a genwunners fantasy. It's not like Misty/Brock do anything...
Seems pointless to remake the first movie in CG. Misty/Brock look bad, they could have just made this another AU movie or a re-telling so it didn't look like a 1:1 remake.

To be honest the last Pokemon movie I enjoyed was the Darkrai one, which was Movie 10. After the first DP movie I don't think any of the others have been particularly good.
At this point I can't even remember the rest of the DP and BW movies and I even watched them all.
