• A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

This is clearly stated in our RP forum rules. If you've not read them yet, do so BEFORE posting anything in the RP forums. They may be found here (for Pokémon Role Play) or here (for General Role Play). Remember that the Global Rules of Pokécharms also apply in addition to these rule sets.

Private/Closed A Carpet Stained Red (Murder Mystery RP)

Gwenyth cocked her head slightly as Clarke proceeded to do absolutely nothing with the sword. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, feeling as if she'd been given an exciting preview only for the real deal to turn out utterly disappointing. Sighing to herself she tottered over to the group set up for a game of cards.

"Room for one more? I've got a bit of confidence in my luck."
Her voice was leveled, within the coldness was a hint of warmth and amicability. She'd often been told she sounded more like a pleasant chilling breeze than the creeping frost of her late father. Regardless of what they'd meant by it, she chose to take it as a compliment, after all, a lady of Nobility had to have some magnanimity.

'Not as much as I expected, but I'll let it pass' Luna thought, sighing as she walked to the courtyard. She remembered the time she agreed to attend the invite from her brother's 'acquaintance', her thought still wondering of how in gods name does Vaid even met with Clarke in the first place. Though, she can't judge much about her brother's decisions. She stood in the courtyard and opened her parasol, walking around as she observed the items there.

Jeremy shook his head and walked into the living room. "I guess I'll play, too, if there's room," he said. He played many different card games, even in casinos on occasions, and he was good. Very good.

Thinking for a moment Robin shuffled the deck once more "How about Blackjack?" she asked. Placing the deck on the table she looked around "I mean unless people want to play poker, but I haven't played that much of poker".

"Blackjack sounds good." Clarke Storm said, walking over and sitting down with the group. It seemed he was using his sword as a cane. "Hope you have room for the head of the party? And Vladimir, come join us!"
Meanwhile, John Baker was setting up at the pool table across the hall.

Robin watched as Clarke sat down "Of course" she answered, looking around the table she picked up the deck "Everyone know how to play?" she asked.

Gwenyth nodded lightly. She took a seat at the table and rapped her nails across its surface. She cast her gaze towards Robin before inquiring.

"So I'm assuming it's the standard version with no special rules or variations?"

Halt chuckled. "It's been awhile since I played last. Refresher please?" He asked the people at the table. Halt layed his cane on the armrest of the chair.

Robin nodded shuffling again "Everyone gets two cards from the dealer, they can look at their cards and choose to Stand: Not add any more cards to your hand or Hit: Add another card to their hand you can hit as many times as you want. The objective is to get 21 points in your hand, each card is worth its value in its number, the ace can be 1 or 11 and face cards are 10 but a blackjack is the 'highest' card you can have and it beats any 21 point hand. but if you hand goes over 21 your out, the closest to 21 points wins"
(I'm doing the easy way, I don't have any need to add in double splits for surrender this is easiest.)

Gwenyth rapped her nails across the table's surface. She seemed to be lost in thought for but a moment before she spoke in inquiry,

"Are we playing with the rule that the Dealer must hit if they're below a count of 17, and speaking of the Dealer, I assume you've taken that role? Or shall we delegate it to our host?"

The Rules that Robin had spoken were for the most part consistent with what she knew, and if anything she was confident in her ability to bluff. She wasn't cocky enough to say she'd beat them all, but she was confident in putting a few games under her belt.
