Sylvie grinned as she stared up at the wall, the clock ticking and the time changing to 9:54am. She looked around a little frantically, Muffin behind her. She looked at her and Muffin looked back, both with the same thought, both nodding at eachother before sprinting out of the backstage room. Sylvie ran over to Jerral, Christian and Jake, Muffin by her side. "Guys, go sit down! It starts in six minutes!" She exclaimed with a cheerful grin before waving and darting off outside, standing by the massive door into the huge building.
"Guys!" She shouted to Halt and Euclides. "I think you should end your battle in a minute, it starts in six minutes!" She yelled, grinning at them before running back inside, her mind buzzing with excitement as she sprinted past Christian, Jake and Jerral and into the backstage room. "It's time!" She whispered to Muffin eagerly, a happy smile on her face. 9:55am.
"GIRLS, THESE ARE THE PODS!" A lady in the room shouted to the girls, all the girls' attention turning to her. "WHEN IT TURNS TO FIFTY-SIX PAST NINE, YOU GO STRAIGHT IN THESE PODS. THE THEME PERFORMANCE WILL START A MINUTE AFTER MADAM SUGAR STARTS THE SHOWCASE, THEN ANNOUNCES THE THEME. THE PODS WILL THEN GO UP ON STAGE, AND THE DOORS WILL OPEN, LEADING INTO THE ROOM DESIGNED TO WHATEVER THE THEME IS. AFTER MADAM SUGER SAYS START, YOU BEGIN. EVERYBODY CLEAR?" She shouted, all the girls, including Sylvie, listening carefully.
All the girls nodded, except for Sylvie's whose hand shot up like it would in school. "YES?" The woman shouted, glaring at her slightly. Sylvie froze a little, nervously stuttering what she had to say. "Um, h-how m-much t-time d-do w-we have?" She asked, a clear stutter as she talked. "Five minutes." The woman snapped, turning away. 9:56am. It was time! "GIRLS, IN THE PODS NOW!" The woman shouted, as each girl got up from where they were sitting or standing, and the woman pointed to a girl and then to a pod. The woman pointed to Sylvie and to a pod beside a particularly angry looking girl with a Torracat, which was a little surprising since they were native to Alola.
Sylvie slipped into the pod excitedly, like a dressing room, feeling a little claustrophobic as she held Muffin, a blank white pod with the only light source being a single lightbulb on the ceiling. "Please let these four minutes go by quickly," She murmured, already hating the room and desperately wanting to get out, even though she was so excited for the showcase. She calmed herself down and hugged Muffin, who was completely fine.
It was 9:58am by the time each girl had got in a pod, and Sylvie heard the woman's pounding footsteps on the floor as she walked out the room. When the terrifying lady went, the girls broke into chatter with their Pokemon, not afraid to talk now the woman was gone. Sylvie calmed herself down and smiled at Muffin, hugging her excitedly just waiting for the pod to start rising up onto the stage.
