Zorro's ears twitched after it was set and he smiled at how comfortable it was. He headbutted Pip playfully before retreating to his trainer. Angel nodded and set off to the opposite side of the battlefield. She set Togetoge down beside her, and she began to look up at Angel with adorable eyes and follow her movements, but since she's still new to this she stumbled behind a half a beat or so. Zorro followed Angel until he was at his side of the battlefield, standing up a bit and followed Angel's soft movements before the battle. The dance seemed to give off a pleasant but ominous feel to it, almost like the calm before the storm.

Zack had just finished up his...business and washed his hands when he saw Jonathan walk in with Shinx and explained what she had done and his guess as to why.

"Darn it Shinx I told you she was fine." Zack scolded as Shinx who frowned as Zack let out a sigh and pet her on the head.

"I see you like her, but don't be so overly protective." Zack said before he heard of Jonathan's offer.

"I'd love a battle once I've beaten Viola." Zack said, accepting Jonathan's challenge.

Sylvia and Pip grinned, welcoming the challenge. "Okay. Battle... BEGIN!" Sylvia exclaimed. She and Pip both took off running on to the battlefield, springing up. Sylvia supported Pip by placing him on her arm. He clung to her like a little koala, except right-side-up, and shot a Bubble Beam like a bubble blaster from a superhero comic. They spun around in a circle, encasing the entire battlefield in white foam-filled bubbles. The Trainers and Pokemon were trapped inside. Sylvia and Pip smirked, landing on the ground. Pip then jumped up and used Drill Peck, aiming at Zorro.

Zorro didn't mind the bubbles surrounding the battlefield, he just kept on dancing. He saw the Drill Peck coming though and he ducked and slide under Pip right when he got close whilst smirking. Angel ordered him to use Fury Swipes, and so he rapidly slashed at the air as claws came from his paws, attempting to hit Pip at least once before the momentum from his attack slipped over and beyond his aim. Once Pip flew past him completely, he immediately got up and began following Angel's movements, syncing up to hers.

Pip might've been grazed, but as Sylvia and Pip quickly recovered, that proved that the Fury Swipes didn't do much. Sylvia ran and scooped Pip up, jumping back several yards and then having Pip shoot Ice Beam from atop her arm, standing up this time. They froze the bubbles, so now they were in a chilly, icy room. Sylvia stood where she was, not moving an inch and closing her eyes, using Pip's senses instead of her own. Pip began jumping and climbing over the bumpy, bubbly walls of the frozen area and finally jumped over Angel and Zorro's heads, doing a couple of somersaults and diving straight down with another Drill Peck.

Angel saw this coming. She had seen it before, but with a less agile Pokemon. She commanded Zorro to use Dark Pulse on Pip. Zorro knew that the momentum will carry the Pokemon through the Dark Pulse, but maybe the attack will slow the Pokemon down enough to make Drill Peck ineffective. He stood up and twirled about, spewing a dark energy from his mouth, as pulses of the dark energy imbued with the dark thoughts of his instincts head straight toward Pip. The feelings of those thoughts and instincts do have a chance of flinching the target, but hopefully that would be enough to stop Pip.

Pip and Sylvia knew they'd retaliate somehow, so they had a plan. While Pip was knocked off of the momentum he had with the Drill Peck, he regained a lot of it by launching off the ground as soon as his left foot hit it, then spun and used Steel Wing to hit Zorro on both sides of his body, hoping to land at least a couple of hits.

Sylvia's wristwatch began beeping, but Sylvia was in the zone and disregarded it for the time being.

Zorro didn't exactly see the Steel Wing coming and was hit. He flew back into the ground and slid a bit. Angel knew that Zorro was going to start behaving strangely. When he got up, Zorro's dancing now became erratic and strained, as if he was a machine fighting against his rusty joints. His eyes began to glow very slightly and he ignored Angel's wishes for him to use Pursuit, but instead used Dark Pulse again. The instincts coming back now had slightly strengthened the Dark Pulse, making the pulses of dark energy become bigger and harder to dodge. If Zorro decided to attack Pip with as much force as he did in his last harsh battle, she would have to dive in to stop him.

Pip and Sylvia noticed the Dark Pulse's sudden erratic change and rushed to get Pip out of there, but it hit his right foot, thus ensuing Sylvia and Pip into another fit of pain. However, unlike the last time, they didn't drop to the ground, completely vulnerable. Instead, they stood back up and fought together. "Pip! Use Ice Beam on the ground!" Sylvia exclaimed, using vocal commands for the first time. Pip jumped up with his left leg and froze the ground, hoping to catch Zorro off-guard. Sylvia's wristband beeped louder and faster, so Sylvia knew what was happening.

Jonathan walked out of the bathroom, excited for the future challenge between him and Zack. He then noticed that Isabella was standing near the TV, eyes glued. "Hey, sis," he said. "Haven't seen you in a bit."
"Yeah," she said solemnly, turning to him. "I heard Angel and Sylv are battling. You wanna check that out?"
Jonathan smiled. "You betcha!" he said, walking out the back entrance to the Pokémon Center battlefield.

What they saw was an intense battle between Zorro and Pip. They found bleachers close by and took a seat to get a better view of the battlefield. Right now it seemed to the two that Angel had the advantage against Sylvia. But the real question was the reason of the duel, and why both were going all out.

Angel had had enough of Zorro's actions. He yelled at him to stop to clear his head, but Zorro didn't listen. Instead he went for a Pursuit, a streak of wind rushing past him as he slid on the ice. To be honest, he didn't see it coming, but after a slip-up, he was back in using Pursuit, hardly giving Pip time to stop. His eyes were glowing red now, and he howled into the air defiantly. He growled as he sped closer, the animalistic tendencies coming out once again. He felt alive. Free, even. He didn't want to listen to his trainer. He wanted something more... As he got closer with the Pursuit, he used Fury Swipes, to get a hold of the ice even further and to potentially use against Pip, wanting to hurt him.

Something in him caused him to hesitate only slightly before going back to Pursuiting close enough to use his Fury Swipes. He couldn't fight his instincts, they were too strong. They completely overtaken him and his eyes became one solid color. Red. He charged forward, snarling and growling like he was rabid and insane. The energy around him turning the area he was in into something else. The ice below his feet became dark grass he charged forward.

Pip was initially completely vulnerable, but once Zorro hesitated, Pip used that opportunity to attack with a Drill Peck, hoping to knock Zorro out. What motivated him now was the drive to let Zorro go all out and still help him. Sylvia fully supported him. Despite their pain, they remained in sync, reverting back to using nonverbal commands. Sylvia slid over to Pip's side, ready to support him physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

They would help him. And they were determined to make it happen.

In the distance, Kai noticed the bubbled battlefield, recognizing that as a technique Sylvia had once used against them in a battle, long, long ago. She hadn't battled for years, as far as Kai was concerned. Unless she had lied to them when she said she wasn't battling anymore...

Why would Sylvia lie to them?

Kai could see through the bubbles holding up the icy block. Sylvia and Pip were fighting together. Just like Kai and Tally did.

And just like their little sister, too. Alex--or rather, Ikaya--Reviar and her Infernape. Ikaya was Alex's stage name, since she was a Top Coordinator and a great figure skater. She and her Infernape were once the talk of the town. Who had ever heard of a Fire-type Pokemon--let alone a Chimchar (who later evolved into an Infernape) that could skate on ice? And furthermore, the rest of Ikaya's Pokemon were mostly Ice-types, since she soon took over the Snowpoint City Gym when Candice left to become a teacher in Hoenn. The three Reviar siblings may have been very different, but one thing always remained the same.

Their bonds with their starter Pokemon were unbreakable.

Zorro saw the Drill Peck coming, but let it hit him. He went to bite his beak (not Bite), and move him, where he would use more Fury Swipes. The ice underneath Pip disappeared as his powers brewed inside of him. The radius of his illusion powers grew, and the ice disappeared to make room for the dark grass from his illusion. It will soon cover the ice bubble around the battlefield, but right now it's only the size of the Poke Ball design on the battlefield.

Angel and Togetoge freaked out when they saw Sylvia get into the battle like that. She would do the same if Zorro wasn't so... Brutal. Zorro saw Sylvia and growled at her, his eyes glaring at her. He wanted her, too. He retracted his claws quickly to go back to using his Pursuit, wanting to slam Pip into his trainer.

Kai noticed the illusions and gasped, but still refrained from making a move. Sylvia was always very careful about any conflicts she got herself into. She must've had a reason about this battle...

...right?

Sylvia sharpened her gaze at Zorro. She didn't look cheerful or childish anymore, she was getting serious. That wasn't a usual sign. When Pip was flung towards Sylvia, she caught him and thrust him into the air. They didn't waste any time figuring out how Zorro changed their surroundings--thanks to Sylvia's analytical mind, the two had already figured out he was changing everything with illusions. So it looked like they'll have to break it. Pip ran across the walls again, using Steel Wing as he ran. By digging his wings into the ice, he broke the room, the bubbles, and thus, the illusion. Shattered ice scattered around like glass. Sylvia shielded herself from it, but that didn't stop the several cuts on her arms, back, and face. The same cuts suddenly appeared on Pip's body, but he was braced for that already and didn't slow down a beat. When he was done, Pip landed beside Sylvia and, without warning, shot an Ice Beam at Zorro.

Zorro was too erratic to even stop moving. The shattered glass disappeared as they got closer to Zorro and he didn't get hurt from them. Mainly because any illusion he created becomes real until broken. The instincts became stronger and so did his illusions. It covered the field now, and it would've gotten the bubbly ice crystals if they weren't broken. Trees sprouted around the battlefield. Not just regular trees like pine or oak trees, but dark ones... Ones devoid of life, with their branches twisting about the air, raking it with their withering leaves that somehow manage to stay on.

When Pip came back to the Ice Beam, he used Dark Pulse at it, the pulse colliding with the Ice Beam. While the beam and pulse met and had scattered some dust and dirt in the area, he ran up a tree, darting back and forth between random trees. He growled along all the while, screeching at the top of his lungs which made Fletchling from the surrounding battlefield fly up and scatter about. This screech sounded like a shrill, hoarse cry of agony, which are either used to call mates or for scaring away of potential predators. He also began to make a call used to alarm others of danger, making this sort of screechy bark that sounded like a cough up close. It was so loud, that even Kai could hear it (not saying that to auto, but saying they could, with how loud the bark was). He also began gekkering, talking to himself, making this ack-ack-ack-ackawooo sound. He was saying something unintelligible by Poke-Tongue standards. It was like the equivalent of someone talking gibberish to themselves.

Pip launched himself up those trees, scampering after Zorro, with Sylvia right behind him on the ground. The two ran and ran. Kai took off in the shadows, watching over their sister from afar.

(Just saying, Kai might look like a male, but they're not. They're not a girl, either. They're an enbi, which means that they go by the pronouns they/them. Otherwise known as gender non-binary, which means they don't use the pronouns she or he.)

Sylvia fidgeted with her wristband. Zorro had lost all sense of himself. She turned back up to Pip, who knew this already. Pip launched further, struggling to catch up due to his body type. However, he found a way and tackled Zorro to the ground, using Steel Wing on both wings to dig into the ground and restrain Zorro by thrusting himself on top of him forcefully, not letting go. Sylvia skidded to a halt. Pip used Ice Beam to encase both himself and Zorro in a block of ice. Pip had his thick coat of feathers to protect himself from the cold, but Zorro didn't, so by covering himself over Zorro, he could keep him warm, but trapped at the same time. After all, he didn't want to destroy him. Sylvia panted, finally catching her breath and recording some findings onto her wristband.

Kai watched Sylvia. She had definitely learned a lot, but there was still stuff she should've learned. Like how to deal with rogue Pokemon. Kai could do that--after all, they were studying psychology not just for humans, but, as a side thing, purely non-profit--Pokemon, as well. Perhaps they could figure out what was wrong with that Zorua.

No, Kai. Sylvia is learning to be a Pokemon Professor. You can't always be there and help her. Besides... She seems to know what she's doing. Maybe you're over thinking this.

But what if Sylvia gets mauled by that thing?

Then they're right by the Pokemon Center.

But they don't know Sylvia's condition...

Zorua is restrained. Let's just wait and see what happens. If worse comes to worst, I'll come in and save her.

Zorro, after being slammed to the ground, actually got a bit of sense knocked into him, but not enough just yet. But when Pip encased him in a block of ice, he made a small little yip sound and his eyes became normal, blushing insanely. When he saw the damage he caused, the trees and grass disappeared, revealing the ice once more and the shattered pieces of bubbly ice that he had stopped actually gave him damage, but he didn't show it. His face was covered in cuts, but he looked up at Pip and smiled sheepishly, but also trying to hold back his tears. He couldn't though, and cried into Pip's fluffy downy chest, holding on to him.

Angel saw this and thought it was a risky move, but it actually worked. She always wondered how weird it was for Zorro to almost snap out of it when held, but now... Maybe it had to do with his mother... Fathers in the Zorua line weren't there for their kits all the time, having more important things to do in their pack. It's the females job to be the omega and the alpha in their pack and take care of the kits. The males were just there to make sure their pack was safe and to bring in food and scavenge for homes if theirs were unsatisfactory. Since he was alone when they found him, maybe his mother had something terrible happen to her, so Zorua ended up having such a savage mindset when battling... After quelling her thoughts, she walked over to Sylvia, hugging her, thanking her for helping her figure out what was wrong with Zorua's mind. She told her about it, about how his mother must've had something happen to her and how the Zorua and Zoroark packs worked socially. She told her that when babies were forcefully ripped away from their parents, mothers in Zorua's case, they usually have some psychological damage that stays with them for a long time. Even when properly dealt with, the scarred individual would have a hard time getting through their PTSD.

Sylvia smiled. "It was nothing. I'm just glad that we got Zorro out of this mess."

Pip turned his wings to normal and hugged Zorro, comforting him. He glanced around at the ice, unsure of quite what to do. He had trapped himself and Zorro in the ice and using Steel Wing to shatter it was a little dangerous. 'A little help?' he asked Sylvia.

Sylvia chuckled and dug around in her bag, finding a pair of metal nails. Sometimes, Sylvia used this battle technique to capture some runaway Pokemon that needed consoling. While this situation was a little different, it was quite similar, so Sylvia and Pip were prepared. Sylvia dug the nails into the ice and chipped away at it. It wasn't long before Zorro and Pip were free. Pip helped Zorro out of the ice. 'You okay, buddy?' he asked.

Kai sighed in relief. She was okay. Everything was fine. They gave Sylvia one last once-over from afar before finally turning their head and walking the other way. Sylvia was safe. She had herself, her Pokemon, and her friends.

She was okay and she could battle again. Kai couldn't remember the last time they'd seen her battle. Wait, they could.

It was two years ago, when they had their last battle. Back in Sunyshore City.

Zorro walked out, his muscles sore from exerting them so much in their battle. He sniffled a bit as he got out, saddened by the fact he lost himself when battling Pip. He couldn't look at Pip in the eyes, due to the embarrassment from being underneath and from being upset with himself, but he did manage to say that he was okay for the most part. Angel was so relieved to see that Zorro was okay, she went over and scooped him up, hugging him graciously. Togetoge waddled up to them and climbed Angel's leg. She made it to Zorro and nuzzled Zorro's fur, comforting the poor vixen Pokemon. Zorro cried even more in Angel's chest, wanting to be held even more. Zorro had never cried this much before, but Angel was glad he was okay. She bowed to Sylvia and Pip, thanking them sincerely for helping her understand Zorro's mentality. She then retreated inside the building, ignoring the fact that there were people on the bleachers.

She didn't trust Nurse Joy with her Zorro at the moment, so she pulled out that medical pouch from her purse and pulled out a bowl wrapped in cling wrap with a strange green substance inside. She peeled the top off and scooped a bit on finger. The cool paste was then applied to Zorro's many cuts and bruises endured from the battle. She saw Alex and Isabella. She felt horrible for not talking with Alex before, kind of ignoring her to help with Sylvia's plight. She said the same question from before, wanting to make sure Alex was alright with her:

"Hey, you're Alex, right? Sorry for kind of ignoring you awhile ago... I was so concerned about Sylvia that I had forgotten what we were talking about. But now I remember. What was your goal? A Pokemon Performer? Breeder? Trainer?"

Sylvia smiled as she watched Angel retreat into the building. Pip was blushing to himself about what had just happened. He was used to sometimes having to trap Pokemon under his Ice Beam and Steel Wing combination, but...

Sylvia smirked. "Of course you'd be thinking about that, wouldn't'cha?"

Pip reddened quickly. 'H-hey! What about you and that Lucas guy back in Sinnoh?'

"Like I'ce said, repeatedly, multiple times, we're friends, dum-dum. And besides, he preferred Dawn to me anyway, which is understandable. Anyway, we should get our wounds addressed," she told Pip.

Pip sighed, relieved of the change of subject, but then realizing how much pain he was in. Due to all of that movement, he wasn't sure about how long he could last anymore, and so did Sylvia, but she did the tough thing and scooped Pip up, walking back inside the Center and asking Nurse Joy to heal them both. She was surprised that Sylvia was hurt, too, but once Sylvia explained that she and Pip were linked, she gave Nurse Joy a medical card and asked her again to heal them both, to which she hurriedly obliged.

It wasn't long before the first aid was done, and like magic, the two were back to normal. They went to the front desk to find Angel talking to Alex and Isabella. Or maybe just Alex. Well, that was all the better! Now Sylvia had Isabella all to herself, and she LOVED talking to her!

"Hey, Izzy!" Sylvia exclaimed, running over to her. Pip was perched on her shoulder, grinning like an idiot.

Isabella turned around, hearing a voice call her name, and there they were. Sylvia and Pip waiting there in what appeared to be cuts and bruises. The nine-year-old, terrified at this point, ran up to Sylvia and hugged her. At this point she was crying, and the tears wouldn't stop. "That battle was scary," she told Sylvia. "I don't want to have to watch that again," she added.
Jonathan walked up to Sylvia as well. "That was a really neat battle," he said confidently. "I can understand why you tried that battle, and if there's anyway we can help, let us know, okay?" he asked, nuzzling Pip's forehead.
Eevee came off of Izzy's shoulder, triggered by the sight of Pip, and asked confidently, 'Wanna play... TAAAG?'

Pip shook his head at Eevee. 'Sorry. Sylvia and I have some business to take care of. Besides, I'll beat you any day,' he added cockily, smirking.

Sylvia smiled at Jonathan. "Thanks, but right now we just need to perform a quick analysis and diagnosis. I know I sound like a doctor right now, but I did have to learn about Pokemon one way or another. As a Professor, I want to be someone who can be relied upon when there aren't any Pokemon Centers nearby. Especially out in the field, with all of us. I've got a whole ton of tech equipment in my bag."

When Isabella hugged Sylvia, she placed an arm around her, hugging her protectively. "Hey... don't worry. Everything will be fine now. We're okay, Zorro's okay, and now we know what's wrong with Zorro--why he keeps acting up like that. But you see, that's one of the dangers of being a Pokemon Trainer. Sometimes, you have to face scary things head-on. As long as you have your Pokemon with you, it'll all be okay." She smiled warmly. "Speaking of which, have you thought about what you want to do?" she asked.

Jonathan nodded and let Sylvia talk to his little sister. In the meantime, he sent out his party and fed each of them a pink Poke Puff. After that, he silently pondered Kai and his immediate hatred for the former Champion. He had heard about the man previously during his travels in Sinnoh, but this first impression left an awful taste in his mouth.
Isabella sighed. "Whew, that's relieving," she said, wiping her forehead. She heard Sylvia's question and thought for a moment. What do I want to do with my journey? "Well, I don't know about battling," she started. "Eevee's too weak to battle just yet, and I'm not my brother or my father. I don't think Performing is something I want to do anyway. I may be like my mother as some would say, but that doesn't peak my interests. I haven't found anything I want to do just yet, in fact." The girl slumped, a bit glum about that fact. "I just don't know," she added.
Eevee, saddened by the news, pouted and sat on Isabella's shoulder. Her master seemed a bit sad as well, so to cheer her up Eevee licked her cheek and then curled up in a ball, as to say 'I didn't do it.'
"Of course you did, silly Pokémon!" Isabella said, understanding Eevee. The little girl picked her Pokémon up and rubbed her back. She returned to the conversation. "But if Eevee's happy with what I want to do, I'm happy with it! I don't want my team to be just Eevee and Fennekin, either. I want to catch more Pokémon as well, you know?" she asked.

Sylvia smiled. "Well, I'm not planning on doing anything besides collecting information. If you want, you can try that out with me. I could help train you for a bit and then you can see if you enjoy Pokemon battles and want to do the Gym, or if you find the artist within you that wants to be a Pokemon Performer. Or you could go a completely different direction and try Pokemon research, like me, Pokemon Breeding, Pokemon caretaking in any Pokemon Day Cares across the regions, become a Gym Leader, and lots of other things! There's so much more than just Performing or Battling. In fact, you could try the Contests back in Sinnoh! I mean, my little sister did it and she ended up being stuck-up and snobby and spoiled, but she was like that from the beginning, and besides, I'm her older sister. I'm biased," Sylvia added, giggling. "You don't have to know what you want to do right away. Kai initially wanted to be the Champion of Sinnoh, but they realized that it wasn't quite the best decision for them, so they turned to a human and Pokemon job instead--psychology. They had gone to Alola for some research, since in Alola, people are much closer to their Pokemon and have a more personal and spiritual connection than a lot of the other regions, but now they're back in Kalos. Who knows? We might see them again! And hey, maybe I'll ask to battle them! It's been so long since our last bout!" Sylvia ranted excitedly.

Zack and Shinx walked over and overheard the tail end of the conversation. Indeed, there was so much to the world of Pokemon beyond just battling and so many paths one could take.

Zack and Shinx had their own path set, but not everyone did so deciding what to do from the limitless options couldn't be easy.

"I'm sure whatever you decide to do, you'll be great at it and we'll support you every step of the way." Zack said with a smile as Shinx nodded in agreement.

Isabella smiled from all of the encouragement, whispering as to not wake up Alex. "Thanks so much, you guys! I really appreciate all of your advice and support! In fact, I will try doing research with you, Sylvia! I think it'll be fun!" she concluded, smiling.
Jonathan looked at his sister. "You know, sis, Pokémon Research is vital to any aspect of interaction with the magnificent creatures," he began, realizing that he could ramble on. "I had to study for a week with Sycamore just to properly learn about my Pokémon and their personalities, ya know? And Olivia had to study her Pokémon and their move pools to find pretty and dazzling attacks for the competition. That's why people like Sylvia are well-appreciated all over." He rambled on about his first journey through his home region, lost in thought and not realizing how boring this was becoming.
"Wake up, for Pete's sake!" Isabella snapped, bringing her brother back to reality.

Sylvia giggled. "Oh man, you remind me of Sabina back home, Isabella! She should be starting her adventure too, right about now. I think you two would be great friends! Sabina would always snap me to reality when I start getting lost in thought. But hey, don't worry. With me around, not only will you be safe, but well-educated, too. I typically study a Pokemon's biology, move pool, and often times, even genetics and behaviors. There's so much more than just those four categories, but that's what I'm working on at the moment. Specifically, with Fairy-types. They always seem to behave in bizarre manners, drawing power and even defeating Dragon-types, becoming totally immune to their power by what seems to be magic. My job is to figure out exactly why they're immune to Dragon-type moves as a grand goal. But, of course, in order to do that, I need to know how a Fairy-type Pokemon's body functions. And not just one Fairy-type, like a Sylveon or a Swirlix, but more, too. I need to record a lot of data. That's why I chose to travel this region as a start to that research. You still on board with me?" she asked Isabella, turning on her Nerd Mode.

"That's pretty cool," Isabella agreed, eagerly wanting to listen. "I've heard theories about that mystery before, but that's yet to be unveiled, wouldn'tcha think, Sylv?" the girl asked, hoping to converse on the interesting matter even more
Jonathan came in with his own points. "When I battled Valerie at the Laverre City Gym, I sure got a taste of just how powerful Fairy Type Pokémon are. I learned that they are, as stated before, really good against Dragon Types, while they have lesser renown strengths, such as Fighting and Bug Types. My Aegislash, a Steel Type and just a Doublade at the time, was the main reason I earned the Fairy Badge, while Poison Type moves are powerful against Fairy Types, Sylvia," he concluded. "Are you getting this?" he asked her, yawning a minute later.

Sylvia nodded. "I've got all that, already. What intrigues me more is that some Pokemon like Togepi and Azurill's families were assumed to be either Normal-type, or in Azurill's case, Normal- and pure Water-type, but when they discovered Fairy-types recently, they realized that they actually had qualities differentiating them from other Normal-types, or whatever. I'm hoping to also figure out why that is. There's so many questions to the Fairy-type Pokemon and I'm gathering info as fast and diligently as I can." She placed a hand on Isabella's shoulder. "Glad to know I'm not the only nerd in this group, though. Thanks, you guys."

Pip rolled his eyes and pretended to use a cell phone. 'Hello? We're lost Sylvia. I repeat: we've lost Sylvia.'

Sylvia gave Pip a knowing smirk. "Har har. Real funny, wise guy."

While Angel was waiting for Alex to wake up, she eavesdropped on Isabella's, Sylvia's, and Jonathan's conversation, smiling at their nerdiness. She was quite the nerdy one, as well, but with medicinal herbs, Dark-Types, and Fairy-Types. Maybe she can help with figuring out why Fairy-Types were immune to Dragon-Types. She guessed it could be one of the reasons why they're super effective against Fighting-Types, as well, as Fairy-Types seem to have some supernatural something about them, whether it be charm, strength, or intelligence, and it may not be so readily apparent in their physique. They also seem to be quite pure, matching up with Grass-Types and having such a symbiosis with them because of their similar qualities of being nurturing toward other Pokemon, plants, and even humans on some occasions. Although, everyone has a dark side, and it has been apparent in Togetoge, even in such an early stage of development. She guessed that maybe the presence of a Dark-Type can cause almost any Pokemon to fall a little to the side of the Dark-Type just a bit, especially when behaviors of children were a thing.

She decided to butt in, telling Sylvia and Isabella all the things she just mulled over, hoping they would like what she wanted to contribute. She also talked about how Dragon-Types had some primal power that are still based on the natural side of things, and that Fairy-Types ascend beyond that, which is why their attacks are ineffective. She also told Sylvia about the Fairy-Types that changed typing, giving off a list of what she could remember. To make it easier on herself, she said that the Cleffa line, Igglybuff line, Snubbull line, Togepi line, Azurill line, and Mime Jr. line had either the addition of a Fairy-Typing or became Fairy-Type. That's what she could remember, though, and she wasn't sure if what she said was all up-to-date.

"Well yeah, I know all of that already, but they didn't exactly 'change' type," Sylvia corrected. "It's that they had hidden traits which were then revealed to the world that allowed them to become another part of the ever-growing Fairy-type community of Pokemon. As for your theory, I've got something a little bit similar to work with on that. It's very intriguing, so I'm going to have to keep it written down," she said, pulling out a pink flower-patterned research planner and opening up to a page where she had some stuff written down in the 'notes' section. She pulled a pencil out of seemingly thin air and scribbled down some notes before slapping the book shut and shoving the pencil and book back into her bag. "There we go. Thanks, everyone. It's awesome that you're so supportive of our work!" she exclaimed, placing a hand on Isabella's shoulder at the word 'our' in inclusion.

Isabella smiled about her being included. She looked at Sylvia, smiling, and then spoke up. "I'm pretty sure that this mystery will have to be solved later, Wattson!"* she said. "In the meantime, it's kinda dark," she added.
Jonathan yawned as well. "Yeah, I think we should get some shut-eye," he inquired, laying on a couch. "It's almost midnight and I get really tired around now. I'll get a room for us and then we can rest.
"Hey, where are Alex and Jarrel?" he asked, not giving much thought to the question.

(This is my, "Goodbye" post, to explain what I did)

Alex got up in the middle of the night, and noticed that Fletchling and Chespin were up, talking. Alex quickly got her backpack on, and gestured for the others to follow. They did, and they all wound up at the airport. There they got tickets for a plane to Alola, to plan a better future with friends. And soon they were off on their way.

"Ready to make Alola a better place?" Alex said to Chespin and Fletchling, who nodded determinedly.

And they left Kalos, preparing for better travels in the future.

Sylvia sighed. "I dunno, but I think at some point I overheard her saying something about traveling to Alola. Not sure if that's true, though," she said, placing her hands on her hips. Pip was about to fall asleep, thus making Sylvia almost fall asleep, until she shook him awake. "Not so fast there, kiddo. We need a place to fall asleep. Sadly, you can't fall asleep on my shoulder anymore."

Pip sighed, yawned, then sprawled out while magically maintaining his balance. 'Aw man...'

Angel took a bench, while Zorro made the illusion of a pillow and a blanket appear into existence. Angel laid her head against the fluffy pillow, while she covered herself in the blanket. Zorro and Togetoge snuggled up against her, as she laid on her side and quickly fell asleep. She cradled Zorro and Togetoge in her sleep, keeping them safe, while Zorro's illusion powers still being in affect while he began to doze off. Togetoge fell asleep like a rock, holding onto Zorro's fur as a safety thing. Angel muttered: "Bonsoir" before falling to sleep completely.

(Bonsoir is French for good night... Because she's French.)

Zack, who had taken to laying on a couch, had a frown on his face. Having stayed awake long enough to see Alex leave with her Pokemon. It hurt, cause he looked forward to traveling with her, but ultimately he respected her decision and wished her nothing but the best. Shinx was right on Zack's chest all the while, and she also was sad someone she had grown so close to was gone. Zack smiled and petted his partner on the head.

"Goodbye doesn't mean gone forever. I'm sure a day will come when we see her again, for now though you need to get some rest. We've got our big journey ahead of us tomorrow." Zack said with a whisper as Shinx smiled and quickly went to sleep, Zack following soon after.

Sylvia and Pip quickly fell asleep on another couch, not wanting to think anymore. They were exhausted after that battle and the long day. Tomorrow, they'd start a new adventure, right here in Kalos.

Sylvia hoped they saw Kairin again.

Jonathan ordered the rooms, room Number ninety-three and ninety-four respectively, and led Isabella to the girl's room. He walked inside and handed his sister the key. "Leave this somewhere where it's accessible, okay?" The girl nodded and closed the door, leaving Jonathan to himself.
He walked down the hallway for a split second and used his key to open he and Zack's room. It had three beds, two nightstands and an attached bathroom. He smirked. "Nice place, huh?" he asked himself.

Zack overheard Jonathan and went with him to check out what Jonathan was looking at, Shinx right by his side as usual before they glanced into the bedroom that Jonathan said was for them.

"Nice place, don't you agree Shinx?" Zack said as he crouched down to pet Shinx in the head, who nodded in agreement.
