The world of Pokemon is mysterious yet beautiful, creatures of many shapes and sizes share this world with humans and live in near perfect harmony with one another, whether it be simple tasks at home or assisting successful businesses. But one of the most well known things people do with their Pokemon is train along side them, strengthening their bonds as they do so as they strive to be the best like no one ever was.

This is a story that takes place in the Sinnoh region about a group of trainers who wish to become the best Pokemon trainers around. Based off of the 'Once faltered, Twice the journey!' RP done by Zeff Alveron (Whom approved of this).

Appearance: At first glace, Tony looks like a Gothic type of person with his extremely Pale skin regardless of how often he goes outdoors along with extremely dark Blond short, somewhat messy hair and almost foggy ocean Blue eyes. His body figure looks slim with a decent amount of fitness, although no sign of any muscle of any kind. His attire consists of a White t shirt underneath an ankle long jet black hooded coat, dark Gray baggy pants and Black trainers.

Personality: Despite his gloomy appearance and stoic expression, Tony is surprisingly kinder than one would expect, never afraid to ask if anyone needs help and is no stranger to smiling despite how rarely he shows his emotions. He loves Pokemon with a strong passion and wouldn't hesitate to help them out if needed, this love is strong enough for him to loathe trainers who mistreat their Pokemon or simply see them as tools... this however isn't as strong as his hatred for losing as he views it as humiliation rather than a 'lesson' an is known to be rather cruel when angry. The most likely time someone will see Tony smile is during a heated Pokemon battle. Some people say Tony used to be a much more cheerful person in the past, but 'something' in his past changed him forever.

Backstory: Born in Jubilife City between a loving father and a busy mother, started out like your normal everyday boy, due to how busy his mother was with work, this made Tony spend more time with his father who taught him everything about Pokemon and told him of the 'good old days' when he was a Pokemon trainer. This created a spark within Tony who began to dream of becoming a Pokemon trainer as well much to his father's delight, however Tony refused to take a starter with him as he wanted to feel a bit more 'unique' at the time, Tony's father decided to give his son a Pokeball and take him on a little trip into the woods to help Tony find his future partner.

Upon arrival, Tony was excited to see all the Pokemon that lived there and immediately ran into the woods to see if there were any good ones around, it was then that Tony heard a noise like that of someone calling for help, Tony ran over to the source to find a Teddiursa drowning in a lake. Tony's father went to call for help, but Tony instinctively jumped into the pool and swam over to the Teddiursa, pulling the poor Pokemon to solid ground, Tony's father didn't know how to feel about the seemingly reckless action his son just took, but his determination reminded him of himself when he was younger and let him off the hook. The grateful Teddiursa followed Tony back and Tony's father told him that the Pokemon has chosen to be with him, to Tony's great delight, he immediately caught the Teddiursa and took him home with him.

Ever since that day, Tony began to embark on a Pokemon journey and train hard with Teddiursa, rarely were they seen separated from one another during their travels. During one battle with another trainer, Tony's Teddiursa miraculously evolved into Ursaring and fought even harder for Tony until the two were as close as brothers.

...But during their travel through Eterna City, a truck swayed out of control and was about to directly crash into Tony only for Ursaring to push Tony out of the way and take the hit himself which severely injured him. Ursaring was immediately taken into intensive care while Tony was forced to wait and hope for the best... but Ursaring unfortunately didn't make it and passed away a few days after the accident. Since then, Tony fell into unimaginable depression, returned home and shut himself in his room, rarely coming out or doing anything at all which made his parents extremely worried. Tony's father then decided to try and make Tony do some 'errands' for him which were mainly excuses to get him back outside.

During one stormy evening, Tony was on his way back from his 'errand' only to hear the sound of a distraught Pokemon nearby, Tony followed the noise into an alleyway to find a freezing and wet Zorua within an old cardboard box. The look of loneliness in her eyes strongly resembled his own as Tony held his hand out to the lonely Pokemon and asked. "Would you like to come with me?"

After spending some time with Zorua, Tony quickly learned that she had a strong passion for Pokemon battling, this created a spark of hope within Tony and since then, he slowly made his way back into his Pokemon journey in the hope that he could regain his 'fires of passion' and return to the life of a Pokemon trainer that he adored so much.

Appearance: He would have the appearance of a sickly adult with a small size and grey eyes. He would have brown curly hair which would go with his average peach skin, his stature would look small and skinny with no real muscle anywhere. His average attire would be a gray sweater with an orange t-shirt underneath and blue faded jeans with orange shoes and socks.
Personality: Isaac can be a pretty nice person to people but not to most large pokemon due to fear, he has moderately low self-esteem and his height doesn't really help with those issues, he doesn't really get that upset when losing unless he loses extremely hard. He often views larger pokemon as tools to get a job done and treats them that way. Most people generally like Isaac as he keeps his views on large. pokemon hidden.

Backstory: Isaac lived in Jubilife city with his single mom, his mom was neglectfully leading to his sickly appearance and warped his views about large and strong pokemon. They had gotten a Mudkip when he sixteen years old and had loved it dearly until it evolved into a Marshtop, he showed less affection to it than before but still appreciated his presence. Life was pretty average to him until he turned seventeen his mom forced him to go on a pokemon journey to get out of the house and kicked out the Marshtop with him, So together they started there pokemon journey to the elite four.

She is in good physical condition and her muscles are somewhat toned. She wears an open red hoodie so she doesn't call to much attention. She also wears black leggings.

Personality: Jade is a very competitive person and stubborn. She glows with the great amount for energy she has and expresses it fully. She is the type of person that cannot stand still or quiet in a library and prefers doing things with her hands, rather then reading and listening. She will not stop until she achieves her goal and always keeps a positive attitude.

Backstory: Jade was born in Sunnyshore city, Sinnoh. She went to school until she was ten and the time to get her first Pokemon arrived. However, her parents informed her that they needed to move to Vermillion in Kanto, due to their job.

Jade arrived in Kanto, determined to start her journey there, but an event changed her life. She saw a battle between Lt. Surge and a local trainer. She was so impressed by the raw power the electric gym leader showed, that she continued to go see his battles. She even got a part time job at a local Mart to have money for the stadium tickets. She became a dedicated fan of the gym leader and showed her support in every match. After a year of being an spectator, Lt. Surge recognizes his dedicated fan and asked her to train in his gym. Jade accepted of course, her idol invited her to train and she wouldn't say no, but she had no Pokemon.

On her first day she went prepared to decline the offer, due to the fact she didn't have a Pokemon of her own. However, Lt. Surge gave her a young Pichu, which Jade named Michi. Both Jade and Michi began very close and in three months, Michi had become a Pikachu.

Jade continued her part time job in the mornings and would train in the gym in the afternoons. When she turned twelve, she was a gym trainer, challenging anyone who wanted to try and challenge Lt. Surge. She lost most of her matches, since trainers always had type advantage over her and Michi. Unfortunately, her parents had to move to Safaron city.

In Safaron, Jade and Michi joined the fighting dojo, where they trained during the week and traveled to Vermillion during the weekend to train with Lt. Surge. Because of the dojo, Michi learned doble kick and got her Pikachu Libre costume. This continued until Jade turned 14. Now that she and Michi had more experience, she tried the Kanto gym challenge, where she defeated 4 gyms, including her idol. It took Jade 2 years to get those four badges, taking her several attempts to win with just one Pokemon. She then captured a grumpy Snorlax in her travels, but then decided to return to her original region.

Soon she returned back to Sinnoh, where she began her journey, getting a Piplup as her starter Pokemon. She went through Sinnoh until she reached Crasher Wake. She lost, but the two became good friends and she trained under him for one year. She eventually had her Empoleon and defeated Crasher Wake. With 4 badges under her belt, she soon turned eighteen and decided to continued her travels.

Name: Finn Ray
Age: 17

Appearance: Finn is a generally unassuming guy, having ditched all but his jacket after leaving his delinquent life behind. He has fair skin if not a little tanned, and blonde brown hair kept short. Perhaps his most noticeable feature are his piercing blue eyes. His body is surprisingly muscular and in good shape, in no small part due to his method of Pokemon training. He wears a golden satin bomber jacket with the silhouette of his partner's final evolution, Hydreigon, embroidered on the back. Underneath that he wears a plain white shirt, blue denim pants, and scuffed brown dress shoes.

Personality: Finn isn't too talkative of a person, but he tries to get on well with most people he meets. But his way of speaking can be a bit standoffish and 'to-the-point' as he's an incredibly goal orientated person. With a hint of mean streak as well, Finn tries his hardest to keep his anger under control and uses Pokemon battles and his training for them as an outlet for that rage. Finn is confident in his abilities and can be arrogant and boastful during battles, but tends to apologize for it and give the opponent battle tips for next time.

Backstory: Born in Veilstone City to a loving family, Finn's childhood was one full of support and unconditional love from those around him. So when Finn was enchanted with the idea of joining the rough and tumble delinquents that lurked in the cities alleyways, his parents allowed it but were cautious. And the caution would be for good reason, as Finn grew 'hard' as his friends said and he grew a small anger issue (that, or he was finally given an outlet for his anger and encouraged to show it more by his social group). And so when he turned ten Finn his friends all chipped in to give him a Pokemon that he would love: a Deino. Finn took to his partner like a Magnemite to an electrical box and the two were friends for life. Finn nicknamed him Hydra, looking forward to the day that he would eventually evolve into the dark and evil Pokemon so often used in old story books and front covers of punk albums.

Finn has only just recently left Veilstone, after an event made him completely reevaluate his priorities.

Krank Castle, an older guy around 50 years of age was a legend among the punks of Veilstone. Key word being WAS. Krank was also Finn's mentor of sorts, and taught him everything he knew. From the extreme training techniques that put trainer through as much stress as Pokemon, to how to drive a car and play a guitar. Krank was Finn's idol and took everything he said to heart, except for one thing.
"You've got to at least try to take on the gym's kid, it's an experience you never forget."
The Gym challenge was never a popular or well liked thing among the punks. It was seen as just a way tryhards could show off and bloviate on about their Pokemon, only making their ego even bigger for being quote, unquote, gifted enough to win badges. Finn shared this same view and blew off all pushes from Krank to do them. That is until Krank passed away.
Finn never found out exactly how, always shutting down others talking about it or just leaving before he could hear. But at the funeral Finn was handed something by Krank's wife: his Pokemon, an old Hitmonchan known as Mac, and his old badge case.

And with that Finn left Veilstone behind, aiming to complete the Gym challenge his mentor never could.

Appearance: Typically seen in a shorter white tube top with a violet Pokéball design on the lower left side and a vertical black stripe down the front right side. Occasionally seen with a dark purple cropped zip up hoodie with an oversized hood and a yellow Pokéball pattern on the back, a silver necklace with Sylvia’s Pokéball attached to it, she also has a specialized wristbands on each of her wrists that holds her on hand Pokémon (three on left and two on right). She wears a pair of three finger gloves that cover her thumb, index and middle fingers. She wears dark purple loose waist baggy cargo pants, a black belt with a Pokéball design buckle and a long piece of white cloth tied on the right hand side that hangs slightly past her knee from the belt loop of the pants, and a pair of thick-padded black and white skate shoes. She also has a white messenger bag with a black Pokéball design on it that she keeps her other belongings in. Her long unkempt hair hangs a bit past her waist and swept backward from her forehead leaving only a few strands hanging down her face.

Personality: Extremely intelligent, methodical, and analytical, Celeste has always been more interested in Pokémon than people. Through her travels and meeting with likeminded individuals, she has grown wise and empathetic. She could easily establish deep friendships and bonds with Pokémon, treating them as an extension of her family. As a result, once she became a trainer the Pokémon she would train would be closely bonded with her and with the other members of the team, giving their full trust to one another and spurring each other on in battle, becoming more and more like family. She’s kind, generous, and compassionate. Her true passion shows when she’s training and even more so when battling, she gives her all into every battle, her passion, drive, and will for high level competitive battling knows no peer, her Pokémon share in her mindset and passions both on and off the battlefield, celebrating every victory and learning from every defeat. She has an aura of confidence and command about her that translates onto her Pokémon.


Backstory:
Originally born on her family’s estate near Cyllage City in the Kalos Region. Her family was very wealthy, but lacked warmth and love. Not because her parents were people, just their jobs kept them away from home most of the time. Her father was a renowned on-the-field- Pokémon researcher, and her mother was a famous Pokémon breeder, known to have breed the Pokémon of Elite Four champions and master coordinators alike As a result she was mostly raised by her grandfather who lived on the family estate. From a young age, Celeste was able to form deep and meaningful friendships and bonds with all kinds Pokémon. Her grandfather attributed this due to her lack of interaction with other children and people, she treats the Pokémon she meets as if they were people, individuals, and befriends them as such.


Her grandfather, a former Ace Trainer and Veteran Competitive Battler, saw massive potential in the young girl due to her ability to form strong bonds with Pokémon, and began teaching her the basis and basics of Pokémon battling. Celeste took the lessons and knowledge in stride. On her tenth birthday she wanted to set out on her Pokémon journey with her best friend/ Pokémon at the time, a wild Riolu she had been friends with ever since she met him in the small forest on their family estate, but much to her disappointment, her parents told her no, for now, and instead her mother gave her a Pokémon egg and told her to take care of it, raise it, and once she understands the full responsibility of having Pokémon, then she will be allowed to go on her quest.


The egg eventually hatched into an Eevee. Celeste named her Sylvia since she had planned on evolving it into a Sylveon, we favorite Eeveeloution. After months with Sylvia, playing, bonding, and having practice battles with her grandfather to train, the day finally came when she would prove to her parents that she is now ready to start on her journey. It was the week of her eleventh birthday when they returned home for their visit, something that she was used to for as long as she could remember.


Celeste showed her parents the progress she had made with Sylvia, her parents were beyond impressed with the progress that Celeste had made and agreed to let her go on her journey. It was their gift to her, in addition once she got the ok to go, her best friend Riolu challenged her and Eevee on the spot to a battle. With her parent’s blessing and her grandfather watching with interest. The battle begun right in the middle of Celeste’s birthday celebration.

The battle was harder than anything Celeste had ever encountered, Sylvia was at a type disadvantage and Riolu was no slouch, showing off his speed, precision, and determination. When the battle had ended, Sylvia stood victorious, standing by sheer will power alone. After the battle Celeste’s grandfather handed her a Pokéball. She looked at Riolu and he nodded back, he was the first Pokémon she would capture.

From that point on, Celeste began her goal of becoming one of the greatest Pokémon trainers of all time, someone that even League Champions will admire and respect. She would study hard in-between battling, training, and traveling, looking for powerful Pokémon and where to find them. Carefully constructing her team Pokémon one at a time making sure each member of the team fits with the rest. The trust and bond between Pokémon and trainer and Pokémon and Pokémon on her team was incredibly strong.


It took her 6 years to assemble her team, travelling across 7 different regions, spending roughly a year in each training, looking for her desired Pokémon, and challenging the gyms in each region along with any other battling establishments such as the Battle Frontier and Battle Tower whenever available. But she always stayed away from the Elite Four, she heard stories about their skills and power from her grandfather’s stories and from then always wanted to be a champion and she had made it a goal to herself that once she is ready, she will challenge them in succession starting with the Kalos League, once she acquired every badge in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos.


In seven long years Celeste managed to achieve her dreams of beating the champions of the six regions. Despite having achieved such a massive goal, Celeste continues on her journey, preferring anonymity, though impossible at times, now she journeys more for the sake of exploration, making friends, and even tutoring and advising people who are trying to walk the same path she had. Though if challenged to a battle, she will never back down.

Sometime after achieving her final Champion title in Unova, Celeste and a few others established something called the Underground Battle-Club. A place where elite trainers can test their mettle against another with little to no restrictions as long as the Pokémon is willing. Its ranks are populated with powerful trainers from all across the world, even other Hall of Famers.

Because Zweilous used Hyper Voice first, a normal move which Fraxure has no resistance to or weakness to, as long as Fraxure can get a Dragon Claw off on its next turn (and assuming our Pokemon are around the same power wise) Fraxure would one hit-KO Zweilous.
The winner is really just whoever can hit the other with a Dragon type move first.
At least that's what I'd go with.

Backstory: Long ago when Max was younger he was very awkward. People didn’t like talking to him and it made him sad. His parents saw that Max was always sad so his father caught him a Eevee. Eevee made Max happy. One day Max’s father died of a heart attack. Max was so sad that he became awkward again, he didn’t even want to be around Eevee because it reminded him of his father. Soon Max became happy again and wasn’t as awkward. On his seventeenth birthday his mother got him a fire stone for his Eevee.
