The morning sun began to rise down on Ula'Ula Island, striking Malie City with warmth, the mountains of Hokulani and Lanakila hung overhead in protection. Humidity lingered in the air, causing a light fog to lowly linger around the city streets, snaking inbetween the legs of Pokemon and People alike. They were up this early for a good reason. The break of dawn meant the festival was soon to start, and there was only a matter of time before the opening ceremony was to be held. Trainers, shop owners, and tourists had flocked from all over for the popular event, you being one of them. Whether it was pure luck that you had been in Alola at the time, or purposely sought out the festival yourself, one thing was for certain- You were here now.
Many others had the same idea, emerging from various inns and hotels throughout the Johtoian city. As banners, stands, and other various decorations went up, many trainers that had been accepted into the tournament had begun to seek out what the competition would be like. Be it a show of good sportsmanship, a friendly rivalry, or something more burning for the desire to win, this years festival was looking off to a great start.

Atty yawned, adjusting the hem of her shorts as she stepped out of the hotel she was currently roomed in. Unlit lanterns hung above the streets, ready to be lit aglow later tonight when things were in full swing. Granted, many people were still setting up now. The opening ceremony was scheduled for noon. And it was about... Eight in the morning. She didn't want to be this up early, but it was hard to sleep in knowing that everyone else was awake and excited.
She wandered around for a bit, her little bobbed ponytail bouncing with each step, hoping to find something to pass the time. Not many shops or stands were open yet, but Atty figured her first thing to square away would be to get some breakfast. She was from Unova- Bacon and eggs was a standard there. Here in Alola, especially an oriental city like Malie, she wasn't entirely sure what to look for or what to expect. She knew of Sushi High Roller, but that wasn't an option considering they weren't open yet. (And the fact she didn't like seafood...) The only logical thing to do at this point was to look for some sort of cafe, or follow someone else with the same idea that actually looked like they knew where they were going.
