Judging by the portrait on the monitor, the man would have to be a "all business, no fun" kind of person, and even Mimi was a little startled by his intimidating glare. Angel decided to leave for the arena, as this man probably would have already been there by now and waiting for her.
As she entered the arena, being in the middle of the Hau'oli Outskirts and in the middle of the beach, the palm trees waved a little in the wind, as there was an Alolan Exeggutor playing hide-and-seek with an Alolan child nearby. As she approached her opponent, the playful duo stood in silence as they watched the intensity of the two trainers meeting for the first time.
Angel looked at the young man, and noticed that he seemed quite older for his age, as she was mentally younger for her age. At this point, she found a middle ground; something they have in common. She began to start acting like an adult at this point, bowing toward her opponent, and in her thick Kalosian-French accent, greeted him: "It's nice to meet you, Knox. I'm assuming that's your name. I hope you and I have a fair and fun battle against each other. I also wish for you to do your best, but that's already obvious by your looks."
All of Angel's Pokemon were still out and about, and that's when it happened: Quaju, her Greninja, found a rival in the toxic frog leaning against the tree. He croaked toward the other frog, wanting to duel with him. Angel had to put up her arm to stop him, as he looked toward her in confusion. She then spoke, not leaving her eyes off of her competitor as a sly smile crossed her face: "Not yet. In the battle, you may fight him."
Quaju grunted in agreement, but still kept his eye on the other frog. Zorro could be seen standing up straighter beside Angel, trying to be as tall as her, even with her slight heeled tap dance shoes. He then looked up at Angel, whose smile became even more wicked. Something was happening to her, and Zorro wasn't so sure about her mentality at this point. She then giggled it off like a little schoolgirl, like her mere subtle hints at her own mental instability was nothing and completely normal, but her Pokemon seemed to think otherwise as they cast a worried glance toward their trainer. Angel then skipped to the other side of the field, threw her dress in the sand, and raised her hand and motioned for him to make the first move, while the rest of her Pokemon automatically reentered their Luxury Balls, ready to start the fight.
