And I think you should do for the leader. There are still nine types left to choose from, flying, fighting, ghost, poison, steel, ice, ground, bug, and electric. And you are a good battler, you should be fine.

I found a good prize was to breed a Pokemon that relates to the gym. For instance, challengers that beat me get a lead set up Aerodactyl with Earthquake, Rock Slide, Taunt and Stealth Rock.
