Private/Closed Blades of Azoth (Medieval Fantasy RP)

Yacker sighed as he got zero response from the soldiers he asked. He assumed they ignored him, so he went off. He looked to the top of the watchtower, and so a strange girl charging a spell. He climbed up the tower, hoping to find out what was going on.
"Hey!" He told the strange girl when he reached the top. "What's going on!? And more importantly, is there anyone I can shoot with an arrow that'll get me paid?!" He looked to what was happening. He chuckled. "Oh, you really think that'd work? I'm sure they have some kind of mage with them that can and will counter it with their own spell." He chuckled. "If they're going away, then ya just send a few assassins after them or somethun." He told her, a smirk on his face.
He knew this would probably annoy the girl, but he didn't care.
"Oh, I'm Yacker, by the way, archer for hire. Any price'll do." He told her.

Regroup the troops and gather an offensive swiftly. These were the exact words in which the Prince had instructed her but Levia felt that 'Secure a quick victory and wash the walls with the blood of our enemies', was probably what he meant- a Blitzkrieg if you would. However, before they could launch any attacks Levia, having interpreted the Prince's words as orders to take command of their offense, would need to gather her forces to see what she had to work with.

It was often difficult to transmit orders across the battlefield, especially in the choas of war, however, Levia did have a rather effective method of passing commands to the entire bulk of their forces at once. Moving swiftly, she siezed one of their envoys and had him beat the sound of a retreat into his drums. Loud resounding gongs, set the pace, which the flag-bearers, hoisting the Prince's crest and emblem would be a clear visual target for their Pegasi Knights. Not only that, there was another purpose for the flags. By allowing the flag-bearers to wave them in specific patterns she could give vague, but recognizable orders to organize their movement.

Her orders were as followed;

Firsty, Lily Torin and Zephyr Aurelio, their Pegasi knights were to provide aerial escort for their column of troops as they retreated, alerting them if the Infernians thought to launch an assault from behind. With eyes and ears in the sky, the troop would be able to avoid the bulk of Infrernian forces, and conserve on their fighting strength. They still needed to take the village's walls, and it was ill advised for troops with dull swords and weary footsteps to wage a war of conquest.

Jaxite Nagraal, and herself, as Cavaliers and the most mobile of ground troops, would flank their forces on either side, poised to intercept any troops that posed a threat to them from any direction. They wouldn't be required to outright stop the Infernian pursuit, but with their galloping horses they'd be able to harrass their enemies repeatedly, and without much harm to themselves.

Gwen Carvos, the Mage, was to hide within the group of regular soldiers, keeping her eyes peeled for possible attacks of arcane and mystical origins. The mage was a special unit, and one which potentially held most of their fire-power, and thus their ability to quickly subdue the village. She was a vital asset to this battle, and Levia would not permit even a hair on her head to be harmed.

Finally, Forei Valeo, the archer, was to advance ahead of their group and scout out a location which could server as a temporary base, a jumping point from which they could assault the Village's walls and a secure location they could retreat to when things went south. Without such a location, the first failed attempt at taking the walls would end in the routing, and possible destruction of their entire unit.

Ether, quickly and stealthily traversing the forest she called her home (even if it was most likely obvious she was coming, she took the precaution of trying to be as quiet as possible anyway), dropped down from a tree, landing behind Pixel, wooden bow in hand. She quickly rose to her feet, drawing back her bow as she aimed it in the general direction of what now appeared to be THREE intruders.
She began to speak in a cold, emotionless, almost vindictive tone.
“The trees are cold. Something happened to them. It can only be one of your doing.”

"Well, Yacker. Umm... Nice to meet, you. I guess? Me, Ignette..." Ignette answered the man who followed her to the tower. She didn't even bother to turn her head because she need to concentrate to her spell.

"Wait... A bit, more.... Allright. I think it's finished!" Ignette swept the sweat from her forehead with one hand while the other one kept the melon-sized magical ball aimed at the prince. She finally took the time to answer the man.

"Don't underestimate my spell. Even if they have a mage, their hastily erected magical barrier wouldn't be able to block the massive explosion this spell has. I pour almost all my magic here, you know?" Ignette said proudly to the archer. This spell is her speciality. Even among her tribe, her Inticore is much more powerful than the rest.

"If you want money then listen, I won't be able to cast spell after I launch this. So it's your job to finish whoever remains there. I'll vouch for you so we can get a nice bonus after this." Ignette grinned to herself, she didn't really care about payment, but exploding an entire army would be a nice bragging right for her.

"Ready or not. Here we go!" She launched the magical ball at the prince's group. The recoil from the launch itself almost knocked her back to the tower's wall. The ball itself wasn't the fastest projectile around, but a little nudge here and there won't make it explode midair. Upon impact, a massive explosion would occur.

BOOOM!!!

Yacker grinned.
"Got it." He said, and as soon as the magical ball was launched, he went down the tower, and to the tree tops, hiding in a way that meant he could easily see the survivors, and shoot them down, without being seen too quickly. "This should be easy." He thought to himself as the magic attack almost reached the group. He readied his bow, preparing to strike down any survivors with a well aimed arrow to the head. He sighed as he looked at the group, and how they had lived their own individual lives was on his mind. Even he had morals, and he was hesitating. He sighed as he pushed those thoughts away, even though he knew he would regret it.

In preperation for the battle that was about to erupt, Gwen had a hand outside her cloak charging magic energy. "Got to be ready when I'm needed." She thought to herself. As soon as Ignette launched her fire ball, Gwen saw the spell flying towards then and got ready to fire her own. "Arcwind!" She shouted, flinging her arm forwards and shooting a blast of wind at the incoming blazing orb. Instead of attacking the ennemy magic head on, Gwen's spell was more aimed towards its side in order to change its trajectory away from the army.

Carolean turned around, facing the Dyrad. "This girl and this guy might have something to do with it, I am incapable of preforming magic. Allow them to speak and judge fairly afterwards. If you decide to strike them down before listening to them, I will interfere. Your call, make it a good one." The thief spoke in a cold way, as if he tried to copy the frozen trees through his voice. He wasn't judgmental about creatures that weren't human, but he wasn't going to let his source of income get hurt.

The Prince's eyes widened as he advanced back with his front lines as it seems the Infernia forces were quick to respond as a powerful magic blast of fire was shot. The flaming fireball charged at them with the intent to turn the front lines or specifically those around his location to dust as he had to act and act quickly even as a magic gust came to try and knock it off course.

"Steer clear! Mages form a barrier and drive the fireball away!" The Prince ordered quickly as he aimed to have his non-mage front lines avoid the line of fire while he asked for the mages who should be a little further back to cast a barrier or even help push it away like whoever fired that rogue stream while he moved back and prepared his shield if worse came to worse.

Pearl took a deep breath. This was a conundrum. Not only had she angered the Dryad by damaging the forest, but also put an unconscious Hitoshi in danger because of her actions.
"Ok, ok. Look. Let's relax," said Pearl, turning to face the foe. "I know I screwed up and froze the forest, but I was attacked! No reason to shoot me!"
After saying that, Pearl began to hear the fluttering of wings.

Doromeir sat alone in a clearing just only a fourth day's walk from the town of Mossley, having past through the town briefly some three weeks ago in order to gather supplies, before him lay his alchemy pot atop a neat pile of sticks and logs. He chanted slowly and rhythmically as he worked
"Earth as yet to see the sky, Air which blows from all around, Water of the midnight moon, and Fire from a focused sun" The dragon-born begun to churn up the earth around him with his tail dragging across the soft grass and tearing away at the lightly compacted soil. Slowly he begun to pour the contents of a small vial into the pot, before raising his staff to focus the sun through its embedded crystal, igniting a gentle flame beneath the pot
"Blood of Nature, Blood of Man added to the sacrifice" using his carpenter's blade Doromeir pried a section of bark away from his staff and let the thick elder-wood sap drip into the pot before taking the same and and slicing across his leathery palm and allowing some of his own ruby like blood to fall into the mixture.
"Fresh scale of the Dragons hide and secret that the crystal hides" once again using his carpenter's blade Doromeir pried away at one of his scales, a rough and chipped scale from his elbow which had been disrupting those around it for a few days, adding that to the now gently bubbling concoction. Finally Doromeir raised his staff once more high above his head, as his faded runes begun to glow slightly and a single wisp of golden energy leapt from within the crystal into the ink. Once this final ingredient had been added the mixture released a burgundy smoke which was promptly inhaled by Doromeir lulling him into a trance like state as he poured the now boiling liquid over himself, the ink warping and adhering itself to the remnants of previous ruins before solidifying and seeping into Doromeir's scales and skin.
"Ro-uL Volkar" spoke the Dragon-born as he emerged from his trance revitalized and ready to head out into the world

Levia's eyes followed the path of the fireball. Its aim thwarted by the combined efforts of Gwen and their other mages.

Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Such was the life of the Fireball. The arcane construct sunk into the ground, missing the center of the army's formation.

BOOOOOOOoooom!

The flames did as they did best, burning, combusting, and exploding, gouging out a section of the battlefield, sending shrapnel and debris pelting against the column of soldiers.

Levia covered her eyes, the shockwave tossing her hair with wild abandon. Shards of earth rattled against her armor and frightened by the thunderous sound, her steed had broken from the formation. The fairy cavalier bit her lips, 'Retreat...means...more...attacks'

Her initials plans were no longer viable. Rather than retreat, she should've stuck to the code of the House of Tsovinaire. Offense was the best Defense after all. Seizing control of her mare's reins, she galloped over to the Prince. "All...Out...Assault..."

She raised her lance and pointed to a section of the village's walls that looked to be fairly weak. "Destroy...quickly"

Seeing the fireball get pushed away from the center of their army through the combined effort of the mage Corp, Gwen sighed in relief. Thought that relief was short lived as when the fireball hit the ground, a massive shockwave accompanied by the explosion and incinerating of all that was around the orb of fire soon followed. Putting her arms up to shield herself from the impact as well as all the shrapnel and debris flung around by the shockwave, Gwen’s hood flew off her head revealing her elf ears, her cloak and hair were blown back and flailed wildly while pushed by the force of the explosion. When the force finally calmed down, Gwen ran over to the prince to ask what their next course of action would be. She heard the fairy cavalier Levia’s orders but thought asking their leader what they’re to do was also needed. “Uh, my prince. What should we do now?” She asked.

Yacker, surprised at this, notched an arrow as fast as he could, and, as he was being paid for, well, at least he thought he was getting paid for it, fired an arrow....Right at Gwen, still in hiding on top of a tree. His blood was rushing. He certainly did not like being near the fire. He mumbled something along the lines of:
"Must...focus....on my target!" The shot had been originally aimed at the Prince, but Yacker had lost focus, causing the arrow to try and attack Gwen's right arm. Yacker quickly tried to notch another arrow to try again, and took a moment, trying to make sure his aim was on point this time.

Forei had planned to follow Levia’s order to scout a location that could serve as a temporary base. But that all changed when the fireball was fired at them. Luckily the barrier formed by the Mages was enough to somewhat protect the army. The fire still engulfed those unfortunate enough to be at the center of the blast. Though Forei wasn’t close enough to be burned, he still had to defend himself from the powerful force of the attack.

After the initial shockwave, Forei took a quick moment to regain his senses and analyze his surroundings. The first thing he took notice of was Levia making her way towards the Prince. However, she wasn’t the only one that seemed to target him. His eyes locked on to the arrow that was sent the Prince’s way. Unfortunately for the assassin, it seemed their aim wasn’t on point as the arrow was headed at Qwen instead. His eyes then turned in the direction the arrow had been fired and found the camper hiding on top of a tree. Even with the leaves, he still had a good enough visual of the assassin.

Quickly getting into a stance fit for a skilled archer such as himself, Forei attached an arrow to the string of his bow. Forei then lifted up his elbow as he began pulling the arrow back. Once he was certain the bow was tightened enough, Forei then pointed the bow in the direction of the assassin, who seemed to be camping on top of a tree.

“I’m sorry my friend but I won’t be making the same mistake.”

With his dominant eye, Forei looked down the arrow and aligned it with the target. He aimed to be as accurate as possible. Relaxing his fingers on the string, the archer let the arrow fly towards its target. Of course this arrow could be avoided were Yacker to jump off the tree. But then the assassin would be revealing his location to the rest of their forces, who probably wouldn’t take so kindly to their Prince’s attacker.

The Prince was having a bit of a tough time. First, while the fireball had managed to be successfully diverted it still exploded with a violent force as he rolled back to avoid the recoil. Though that had been the least of his worries, as it appeared an Infernia archer had his sights set on him as he brought his shield up just in time for the arrow to strike it. The Prince felt a drop of sweat drip down from the close call as he turned to one of his troops over what to do.

"Get in line!" Prince Ven called out to his Pegasus Knights though he made an effort to make a visible signal by bashing his blade against the shield and making a motion to "come on" with his shield as he hoped to bring them back with the rest of his troops as a new plan was needed and he needed all hands on deck.

Well, the plan to try and lure them out seemed hopeless. Much as he had been against attacking the enemy in their fortress it appeared they had little choice. But a full on charge onto a fortified defense was bound to get them funneled and risked wiping them out. They needed an alternative path beyond the walls, and with his brain in a panic as he drew his sword he moved back with his forces to speak in their earshot and theirs alone.

"Get me some attack mages on the Pegasus Knights. Work to attack the soldiers along the wall or over it from the sky. Archers provide support and take out enemy archers and cover for the Pegasus Knights. Any mages who specialize or even have capacity in Earth Magic begin work on multiple tunnels. I want to get underneath the wall with multiple entrance points so we can advance to the city. The rest of you provide cover and deal with the Infernia troops that advance outside the wall." The Prince said as he gave his orders to his legion before he moved to face the enemy; in specific the girl who cast the large fireball. As a soldier, Ven had never been anything too exceptional but his status made him a natural target which he hoped to use.

"Must say that little fireworks display was a bit of a letdown. I hope that it wasn't the only trick you had." Ven said, as he aimed to deliberately antagonist the girl as so long as she had her focus on him she'd be prone to ignore the Pegasus Knights and Mages who were more important in this battle than himself. Naturally, he'd keep an eye out for that archer who tried to strike him earlier as well.

BOOOOOOOOOM

Pixel froze as soon as Pearl came into view. "That was loud." she said. "And BAD. We've got no more time, Pearl! We have to rejoin the Prince!" Pixel began soaring through the forest in an attempt to reach where the sound came from.
"W-wait, where are we headed?!" Shard asked, confused as he dashed after the fairy.
"No time! Be ready to fight!"
"FIGHT?!"

---

Lily had her eyes on the prince ever since the fireball was launched, attempting to descend. The Pegasus Knight increased her pace when called by the Prince, landing next to the lord. She silenced the many questions and words she wanted to say long enough to allow the prince to put his plan into action. "Understood!" Lily nodded. Her pegasus galloped over towards Gwen. "Get on! I'll give you a lift!" she offered.

Doromeir heard the explosion, even almost a mile away he was able to recognize the artificiality of a magical explosion as opposed to a natural landslide or cave in.
"Wings of the soaring wyvern, long stride of the kingly Fell-drake" chanted the dragon-born as he grabbed his staff, while the faint outlines of huge wings and enlarged toe talons emerged from his faintly glowing runes. He set off his speed vastly improved by the pair of traveling spells.

Within minutes Doromeir stood, partially hidden, behind a screen of shrubbery overlooking the chaos of the battle for Mossley. A once picturesque village now ravaged by someone else’s war.
‘It’s ruined, but I know those banners, it must have be overtaken recently and this is the fight for its reclamation’ thought Doromeir as his etherial talons and wings faded and his rune begun to glow more aggressively. Before raising his staff and piecing through the underbrush and half running toward the towns rear wall ‘the people of Mossley were good to me, now I will help them regain their freedom’

Yacker, still half off focus, barely jumped off the tree in time to avoid the arrow, landing in clear view of the army, revealing that he looked very different from any Infernian soldier. Almost like a mercenary, more like a Brigand.

Yacker sighed
"....Well, that was not the plan." He said. "Anyway," He notched another arrow as he cleared his head, regaining his concentration. "Nothing personal, you lot, but I have to kill you." He said, as he fired another arrow, this time aimed at Forei, who had just forced him to move from is hiding spot, which he was clearly not happy about. He then, after notching another arrow in his bow's string, fired his bow again, this time at the Prince's shoulder, as that was who he was technically hired to kill. He then quickly rolled backwards into some of the bushes in an attempt to hide himself once more.

Zephyr came flying in right behind Lily, as she had naturally came to aid the prince first. After all, the Prince is their first priority. Everything else came second. His steed, Apollo, landed right as the Prince gave out orders for people to be ridden on the Pegasus Knights for an assault through the skies. Seeing as Lily had already taken the closest mage already, which was Gwen, and no one else near was capable of long ranged attacks, Zephyr took to the skies immediately. It wasn't safe to stay in one place inside of a battlefield.

Taking the aerial view, Zephyr was able to see all the commotion that was going on below. The Prince was facing against a female, he wasn't able to get a clear view of who it was. Troops were fighting the enemy troops. Yantarlian army was marching through the Infernian army, towards their wall. Zephyr swooped down onto some Infernian troops and took out some of their weapons using is own lance, while avoiding the arrows and fireballs that were flung around in the sky.

Doromeir stood before the rear wall of the town, a harsh angered expression furrowed his brow as he bore his sharp somewhat beastly teeth
“Draknor Pyronis” the runes all over Doromeir’s body erupted with a fiery glow, while he begun to chant. The voice which emerged from Doromeir’s mouth sounding distinctly different, somewhat feminine yet booming and distant simultaneously, as if a much larger being were speaking through him from a long way away. All while a single pillar of intense flame flew from the crystal of his staff. The fiery onslaught beginning to heat and thus weaken the stone wall, the simple clay mortar between the stones initially cracking before beginning to glow with heat, as Doromeir’s runes erupted in a similarly fiery blaze, contained only to the glowing runes which burnt away at the dragon burns tunic leaving only smoldering shreds over his scaled chest.
Once the a sizable section of the wall was glowing Doromeir’s voice and chanting changed, his runes extinguished themselves and the plume of fire disappeared
“Draknor Terrackna” this voice was much deeper and extremely loud, as it it’s very sound shock the ground around it. The runes once again begun to glow, this time an somewhat bejeweled slate as a section of the wall some 10 feet wide begun to tremble, shifting shakily at first before the entire heat weakened section collapsed, into two mounds of half melted stone either side of this new entrance to the town.

Doromeir ceased his chanting and stumbled slightly the pair of intense spells noticeablely draining him of energy, before regaining his feet and moving somewhat more laboriously into the town of Mossley, hoping to evacuate any villagers still trapped within

Having been focused on the prince, Gwen had to noticed the arrow fly towards her fast enough to react to it. "Oh no, I won't be fast enough to block that." She thought. The half elf mage held her arms up as she flinched and stumbled back a little bit when she saw the arrow until Prince Ven held his shield up to block both the arrow headed towards her and another one aimed at him. "Thank you prince Ven." She said as she calmed herself. Looking at Lily who had come down to offer her a ride, Gwen nodded with a determined look in her eyes. "Alright." She responded before hopping onto the back of the girl's Pegasus. Gwen saw the one who shot the previous arrows shooting another one at the Prince. She held her arm towards the arrow. "I got this! Wind!" She shouted as she shot a blast of wind at the projectile headed for Prince Ven.

Forei held a grin as he saw the rival archer jump off the tree into the open field. Though he had missed, it was still a success. Almost immediately, Forei was able to discern the difference between Yacker and the rest of the Infernian soldiers. He looked more like a Brigand than anything. Still though, it was clear his goal was to assassinate the Prince.

But first, Yacker made sure to counter Forei from following up with another shot by shooting an arrow at him. Too avoid this, the young archer jumped to the side. He still barely avoided the shot. By the time Forei regained his posture, Yacker had followed up with another shot at the Prince before rolling into a bush. Luckily, Qwen was there to block that one.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Forei heeded Prince Ven’s orders. As an archer, his orders were too provide support for the Pegasus Knights and take out the opposing archers. ‘I can do that.’ With a goal in mind, Forei called out to Yacker who had gone into the bush. “You know I’m not going to just let you continue after our Prince like that, right?” Forei questioned this as he aimed and fired off another arrow at the bush.

Pearl was rushing through the forest with Carolean following behind. Somehow he was running while carrying a limp body, that was cool. Not so cool was the fact that Prince's life may have been over..."Please let him be alive. The Princess doesn't need this...No one needs this..."
With a few tears flinging behind her head from how fast she was going, Pearl reached the edge of the forest.
"Oh no..."
She pulled out her staff and summoned up her power. "Carolean, leave Hitoshi somewhere safe, we've got a battle we CAN'T lose. We'll worry about waking him up after."

Yacker rolled out the bush.
"Then sorry, but I got to get rid of you too!" He said, as he fired an arrow straight at Forei's right knee, then one slightly to the right, where he thought Forei would roll to in order to try and avoid his first arrow.

He then rolled straight towards Forei, intending to knock him down while rolling. He notched an arrow as he rolled, and fired it at Gwen, seeing her magic as a threat towards him taking down the Prince. Sure, he loathed what he was doing, but he needed the money from this.

"Got it." The thief climbed up a tree with Hitoshi pushed against the tree and Carolean's body. After making sure Hitoshi wasn't hurt, he tucked the half-elf away between two thick branches and the trunk. "You better not fall out, or I'll lose my money." He climbed down and stood next to Pearl. "The half-elf is safe for now, who are we fighting?"

“Wow, you’re really fast!” Forei exclaimed, acknowledging Yacker’s speedy movements. However, being fast doesn’t always lead to great results. Rolling and shooting also wasn’t a stable way to use a bow and arrow. It could even leave the roller in a defenseless position. What Forei was really banking on was the lengthening of time between follow ups.

Instead of rolling to the left like Yacker predicted, Forei jumped and rolled to his right. Doing that allowed him to completely avoid both arrows while rolling at the same time as Yacker, who notched an arrow to fire at Qwen. Basically giving her his attention for a moment. By then, Forei was already up and had an arrow ready to stab his distracted opponent, who had actually rolled over to him. But he paused to make an offer.

“If it’s fine with you, I’d prefer calling this a draw instead of spilling blood.” The young archer offered this gesture in good faith, knowing that this fellow wasn’t actually Infernian. At the very least, he could get the assassin to stop his advances on the Prince until someone else came over. After all, this wasn’t Forei’s expertise.

"Well, Carolean. The Infernians in this situation are our enemy. We MUST prevent them from winning. But...we need a plan..."
Pearl thought of different options. There was a fire from the explosion, there was the prince to worry about, and the growing number of Inferian soldiers Pearl noticed.
"Alright, Carolean, I want you to focus on taking out the soldiers. I'll act as support and apply boosts to you. We need to work our way into that mess and get to the Prince! Or at the very least, we need to create distractions so my friends can get to him."

"Infernians huh?"Let's hope they don't recognize me. "I can take them, I've spent enough time fighting with them. And distractions are something I have enough experience with. Just tell me when and I'll drop a smoke bomb or caltrops around the Infernians. I am counting on you to vouch for me when the prince interrogates me, as my interference wouldn't go unnoticed." Carolean glanced across the battlefield, grabbing his dagger and began to walk towards the battle. "The second I drop a smoke bomb, use the confusion to your advantage. Don't waste any time unless you want to endanger your side."

The battlefield was a chaos, and hasn't changed since his time as an soldier. Time to stain these hands again. He checked the wind direction and set off multiple smoke bombs, the wind blowing the smoke towards the Infernian army, covering his advance and making it harder for the army to see. If the soldiers were lucky, they might have seen a flash of gray when the dagger slit their throats and some of the unlucky soldiers didn't see anything at all. Judging by their skill, these soldiers were just civillians drafted into the army but he knew that the more specialised members of the army were out there in the smoke and they would not be as easy to kill.

"Spirits of the watery grave, swamps bathed in camouflage," whispered Pearl. "Binding together as a flower to a bee, my name is Pearl! Yantarlian Glamour."
Pearl summoned a magic circle underneath herself and Carolean. She made it to where he would be seen as a Yantarlian, no matter who looked. Then, she set about casting a boost spell to make Carolean feel a surge of strength to fight with.

Carolean saw something beneath him, a circle of some sorts. That better be Pearl's magic. As if in order to let him know that it indeed was Pearl, he felt a surge of strength stream through his veins. He continued to work his way through the Infernian army, if only to stall it a little. He didn't know what caused the explosion, but if there were wounded there then he had to buy some time for them to get to safety. This pay better be worth it. He grunted and attacked more soldiers, although these were capable of stopping his attack.

He was out of the smokescreen, and severly outnumbered. In fact, he was surrounded by five soldiers that were ready to impale his body with swords. "Back off!" The thief grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at his attackers, blinding them and making them easy pickings. The soldiers now saw him and he would be nuts to not conceal himself again and just fight them head on. If he was lucky, the soldiers would fight themselves. But right now he had to get out of there, and the smoke bomb he set off would help him do just that.

Suddenly out of nowhere, Hitoshi snapped back awake with a jolt of movement. He didn't know where he was so he accidentaly moved off the edge of the spot he was placed at. He fell to the ground with a not so happy landing, but he was fine besides that. "Ugh, that hurt!" He moved back to leen agienst the tree. He looked around to try to make sense of where he was or what time it was. "Wait... I just remembered, I passed out, right? How long was I out? Did I actually have to get carried somewhere else?" Looked up in the sky and hit his head on the tree trunk. "Great... I was a burden, so they had to ditch me to make any progress on their mission. Last time I checked, I was not on good tides with that theif, and there was just a lot of fighting. Why did I let myself just fall then and there, after I got that injury, I just tried to hide my pain for as long as possible, and then it just decided to give up on me."

He stood up and tried walking around. It seemed his legs were okay, but he could still feel some soreness. As he walked around a bit, he also began to take notice of the sounds of battle nearby. "That must be them, I should probably-" He tried moving faster but he ended up falling down again. "No, I gotta try harder!" He got back up and moved faster and faster. He shoveled through the pain until he reached the forests edge. He could see the entire fight unfolding in front of him. "No, there is no way... I have to try to fight all of this?" He fell again but was able to catch himself. He just decided to sit down so he could rest and examine his injury more. He grabbed the areas to see where it hurt the most. "Father, if I can't help them, if I cab't help Pearl and the others, then what can I do?" There was no responce, just the sounds of yelling and clashing swords. He knew he would not get a responce. "If you want me to choose on my own, then I will do that. But I don't even know which side I want to be on... It should seem obvious but I don't know if either side is doing the right thing." While he contimplated his options, he looked off into the distance past the battle, and the sky was a clear blue.
