"Say whaaa?!"

Lola didn't have much time to process this twist to the semifinals, the area around them morphing into a mix of a canyon, a haphazardly arranged city, a spooky castle and a futuristic station. Taking cover beneath one of the chairs, the A.I took the chance to communicate with her allies before things got messy.

To: AI.ONI.Kalmiya
From: AI.AS.Lola

/// Well, the Host did say hitting anyone besides your opponent will most likely result in being eliminated, right? Specter has lots of control over his psychic attacks, so trying to get hit by those is pretty much a no-go. Psyduck attacking someone else would be less than ideal. What if you get Hareta to hit the others on accident? Sounds like a solid option to me, especially if you happen to lose the advantage. Not that I think you'll lose of course, I'm sure you'll do great!

Once her message was sent, Lola glanced over to Specter, who seemed to be trying to convince Psyduck to give up. She wouldn't be surprised if that didn't work out for him. Then she turned her gaze to the fleeing Hareta, Chief firing several shots as the trainer ran. Man, she hated waiting on the sidelines. Though it wasn't like she could do too much without the P-Bits...

Deadly Dinner Party
As the Host went on, Psyduck didn't really care about the details. The one thing he did focus on was the reward word, that's the one he liked. And if that 'Big Daddy' sucker screwed The Duck over, he'd make them regret it, either by force or just annoying them a whole ton.
Psyduck was soon caught off guard by the world changing around him, and the matches began, with Master Chief shooting at the child without hesitation. Psyduck was rooting for the Spartan, but that left a duck and a monkey at a dinner table, which would make for a great beginning to a bad joke. Specter was quick to be the voice of reason, undoubtedly afraid of the 3'3" package of wrath that was the Duck Pokémon.
...But, Psyduck looked down at his hands. What was he doing here? He got his butt kicked by a Metang before, what could he do against the strongest people in the multiverse? The Duck clenched his fists and looked up at his monkey foe with a defeated look.

"Psyduck. [I'm good.]"

With that, he spat the mother of all Hydro Pumps across the table, a surprise attack especially dangerous due to Specter still sitting on a normal chair instead of his fancy robot one!
The aforementioned Hydro Pump had its fair share of recoil, recoil that forced Psyduck's own chair to tip back. After the tumble, the waterfowl was quick to his feet and already dashing beneath the table, making a beeline to jump into Specter's chair before the rightful owner did!

Water? How tame.

Specter shook his head as he held up his palm, generating a Violet disc of psychic energy in front of him. As the water threatened him, he smirked and flipped his palm sideways in a flat 'karate chop' fashion. This shifted the disc to face Psyduck straight on, spinning like a saw blade. The energy disc burned through the Hydro Pump directly in front of Specter, water jetting out past him and diverted from striking him head on.

Seeing Psyduck dove under the table, it didn't take a genius to see what his plan was. Reorienting the sawblade, he shifted it to sweep under the table and quickly end the duck whilst removing most ways of escape.

Master Chief

The chair that was kicked his way didn't hinder the Spartan as his free arm calmly batted it aside. The chair went flying a few dozen meters into the distance as the boy ran. John tucked the sidekick back to his side as he conjured his MA40, and sprinted after the kid.

Hareta leaped up toward a conveyor belt, and judging from the advanced display on Chief's HUD, the boy seemed to find this height difference relieving.

A mechanical whir sounded in the Spartan's legs as he kicked off from the ground, and just as Hareta muttered "safe" to himself, the half-ton Spartan slammed onto the same conveyor belt, making it shudder on impact as he opened fire with the automatic-fire assault rifle. Should the kid attempt to run away, well, the result of that was obvious. Should he attempt to intercept the MA40 point-blank, the Spartan would respond with the butt of his rifle slamming into the kid with equal tenacity, and should any of his pokeballs be thrown close enough, John's response would be to fire a grapple shot into it, draw it nearer, and crush it in his palm.

"Ah, you should be great at this!"

Hareta picked the pokeball that would be perfect for this battle. Right as he did, his body caught air briefly as there was a loud Thump in the conveyor. That green guy was back again.

"Hey, you said we should go all out right??" Hareta called to Chief as he stood up. "Then let's get to it!"

As Chief opened fire, the pokeball was released. Out of the flash of light came the emperor penguin Empoleon! The bullets panked off his body, doing virtually nothing to the 4X resistant water pokemon. Hareta grinned as he stood behind the defensively oriented pokemon.

"Not so tough without your bullets, huh? Let's hose 'em down!"

Empoleon roared as a hydro pump erupted from it's gullet. The powerful stream of water would gush at Chief, swamping him directly off the conveyor and would hopefully smash him into a sizeable crater on the side of the far rock wall.

"It's got heavy resistance to metal-based attacks," Kalmiya offered as John was quick to tuck his rifle aside. That complicated things, considering a portion of his arsenal---but that didn't leave him without options. "It's getting ready for a hydro pump!" the AI warned. Condensed water was deadlier than most would assume at a glance. A powerful enough blast could cut into diamond, after all, and that was a fact discovered in the late 20th century.

Still, John reacted quick enough as he leaped into the air, and the Empoleon moved its head to follow, firing upward, but the Master Chief had left a little present in the shape of a frag grenade that clattered to the ground.

"It's an Empoleon. According to what I've gathered from its last appearances, and according to the rules of its world, it's weak only to electricity, earth, and uh... punching. Its weak to punching. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to resist fire..."

In the time it took John to become airborne, he'd fired a grappleshot out, latching to the side of the conveyor belt, and yanked with his arm. Before the hydro pump could reach him, he'd whirled around to the side of the belt, swinging in an arc while simultaneously conjuring his sidekick, firing not at the Empoleon, but at Hareta. Should his frag surprise find its way flying toward him, John would simply fire it back, striking whatever point of it most accurately got it most closely back toward his opponents as the Spartan's arc would end in him slamming into- and through- the belt's support beam, bringing the entire belt down as a result.

Empoleon was a bit put off my the surprising agility of the opponent, knowing just following it wouldn't go well. However, it saw a sudden small sphere drop from above...a grenade! Thinking quickly, Empoleon stomped down on it, crushing it entirely. This swiftly disabled the device, but the main concern was still here.

Empoleon saw Cheif ready to grab something. Either it was a grenade or another gun...aimed at Hareta! Thinking fast, it thrust the remaining stream of the hydro pump right near the feet of his trainer, blasting him off the conveyor and as well would snap the cable Chief was connected to.

"Woooah!"

Hareta flailed his arms rapidly, making a less than graceful landing in the small canyon below. Empoleon took the initiative to jump off manually himself, landing down in the canyon with a metallic clang. Hareta adapated with the punches, looking at their optimal position.

"We got an advantage! Empoleon! Area Denial Whipper Whirlpool!!"

Empoleon puffed up it's chest, water generating around it's body before firing upwards. It broke off into two large streams that swirled together rapidly like a waterspout. This was to swat Chief while he was vulnerable and swirl him into discombobulation while racking up some damage.

"What the-" Axe was surprised when he looked past his shield, seeing no one in sight - He could've sworn Snake was there just a second ago! Well, maybe it wasn't too surprising...thinking back on it, he did seem very good at hiding away during his match with Ranamon.

"Well, I won a match when my enemy started by hiding, so...I say that's fine!" He decided to announce proudly, not really thinking on it as he stood there for a second. Despite his talk, he was unnerved, unsure of his feeling of being watched.

"Er...Come out of hiding, please!" He then added, before shaking his head. "Fine...I'll just find you myself." He remarked, trudging forward defensively towards Snake's last seen position, trying to use that to deduce where Snake had gone - It wasn't working so far, obviously, and he was starting to get slightly annoyed, especially with all the rain batting down on the area.

"Look out, Chief!"

He saw it before she spoke to him---though the AI no doubt was already aware before he was. Her vocal words simply came out slower than her processing power. The Spartan retracted his cable as he tucked his legs to his chest, the hydro pump blasting Hareta to safety as Chief still barreled through the belt's support beam like a wrecking ball. Unhindered, John uncurled as he landed on the ground, earth kicking up upon his landing in the time it took Empoleon to re-convene with Hareta, all three of them now ground-level.

"Empoleon's strategy seems to be built on playing keep-away. Something tells me he won't be as effective if you get up close," Kalmiya gave her advice as John watched more water generate, forming two separate waterspouts intending to ram into him. His strategy could still work in this situation, but he needed to move them into Cairo Station. They'd inched closer to it since the fight began, but the Empoleon was effective at playing for range.

So rather than exhaust his arsenal getting close, he'd force the Empoleon to exhaust itself, instead.

Grabbing a piece of metal from the conveyor belt upon its collapse, his piece larger than him, Chief threw it through the air like a frisbee, the metal spinning rapidly as it was positioned accurately enough to cut both spouts in two, presumably forcing them into falling apart while John calmly slapped a fresh clip into his MK50 Sidekick.

Solid Snake

As Axe approached the spot where Snake had been, a small red light could be seen under the water. It blinked---then an eruption took place as Snake's placed mine was activated. Steam and water blasted outwardly, the area engulfing a meter in each direction by the blast as Snake finally appeared, sticking his head out of one of the houses through an open door, watching the scene unfold as he held small black device in his hand, a red light blinking on its top before he flicked a switch, the light turning green, and he moved his thumb toward a button, ready to activate a second explosive he'd placed---though he didn't yet activate it.

Chief hoped to severe the whirlpools by thrusting something into them, but instead it simply got absorbed into the large spout, revolving around inside as it evolved further and further into a water tornado. It tore through the narrow canyon, the walls acting as a natural barrier as it swept in to brutalize Chief and send him sweeping into the swirling debris filled tornado.

All the while, Hareta seemed to be digging for something at a pretty fast pace from behind Empoleon

Psyduck scrambled for his goal, but a glowy buzzsaw cut him off right as he got to the center of the table. Panicked, he used Surf, and the water swelled beneath him to shove him upwards, though the table was much heavier than The Duck anticipated. However, the surging water managed to push it up ever so slightly and forwards, threatening to crush Specter in his chair! This manuever also saved Psyduck's behind, as the buzzsaw only tasted water.
The wave soon collapsed, and the mad scramble for the chair resumed. The moment he left from beneath the table, The Duck leapt, less than gracefully, for the monkey's chair!
If he managed to grab it, he would scramble to sit and try to activate any sort of doohickey he could manage.

"Tch!"

Specter raised his right arm up defensively as the water roared up from the yellow duck's usage of surf. It disoriented the ape, who's hair and body began to get soaked before he psychically propelled himself upwards and away from the rest of the attack.

As Psyduck landed his butt on the chair, Specter floated down, holding up his thumb and index finger.

Fwiiiish

With a snap of his fingers, the water soaking his body was discarded in droplets, becoming completely dry once more. Opening his eyes, he gave a bemused chuckle as he saw the yellow one struggle to operate his chair. With a press of a button the chair the did a 180° spin, and then again. Then three servo arms emerged from the armrests, pinching the air without any rhyme nor reason.

"Difficulties? Truly you know not what you are toying with?" Specter gestured with both of his hands. "If you plan to defeat me with my own throne I must disappoint! So I'll greatly enjoy this!"

He snapped his fingers. That's when two much larger servo arms emerged from the back of the chair and rose up to clamp down on the duck who lie within the seat. If they clamped down, they would release a large pulse of electricity at point blank range, zapping him with a high dose of energy! Seemed like Specter's helmet was still able to give commands to the chair even though he wasn't sitting on it.

Each Weavile tch'd at Rebellio disappearing. That'll be annoying. However, she needed to know where he would go.
It didn't take long for her to find out.
Rebellio fell from above, standing on a massive blade. A terrifying sight, but it did not deter the Weavile. Instead of running, they all leapt to meet the blade halfway, some were taken out by it, but most climbed over and passed the thin blade, allowing an opportunity to jab at Rebellio, their arms coated in poison.

Multiple Weaviles climbed over the blade as it fell, prompting Rebellio to leap off of it mid-fall, summoning a mace midair. The Falcon proceeded to fling the spiked construct toward the Pokémon, the mace hurtling through the air at dangerous speeds. Landing a ways from his opponent(s), Rebellio summoned a scythe in his right hand once more, a crimson pistol forming in his left. The Adept began firing shots off while he still had the range advantage, scythe at the ready in case any Weaviles got a little too close.

She could land a blow, Rebellio leapt out of the way, leaving the weavile army standing on the guillotine as it crashed. Rebellio tossed another mace, which Weavile took advantage of, moving out of the way and gripping on it as it passed. No other clone survived the maneuver, but it didn't matter. There was no string this time, allowing Weavile to stab into the the floor and slow its momentum immediately after hitting the ground. As they came to a stop, Weavile kept the mace in front of her, using it as a makeshift shield to take the pistol shots as she rolled it closer, before flinging it towards Rebellio, spinning it so that it would curve and hit his side.

The mace came in quickly, but Rebellio had dealt with faster attacks before. He took a step back, positioning himself in such a way as to allow the mace to simply glance off his scythe's blade, the construct rolling along the ground and away from the fighters. Weavile had no more clones and no cover for the time being, especially considering the guillotine blade that had crashed down a moment ago had already vanished. The Falcon was quick to fire another barrage of shots from his pistol, his arm following Weavile's every move.

To (presumably) Rebellio's surprise, there wouldn't be any moves to follow. The mace worked as a diversion, allowing Weavile to vanish under the stone while Rebellio dealt with it. Despite what Rebellio thought, Weavile had all the cover she needed.
The floor under Rebellio cracked, before seemingly exploding.
Ice shards and stone flew every which way as icicles burst under Rebellio, flying high up before succumbing to gravity and falling back down, crashing in a wide radius around the fighters.

The Adept could feel the ground below him crack, barely managing to leap backward before ice and stone burst from below him, pinging off his armor and leaving small marks on it. Rebellio's pistol disassembled as the icicles came from above, turning into a durable string that Rebellio proceeded to launch upward, digging into the stone ceiling similarly to a grappling hook. Quickly moving upward along the thread, the Falcon slashed through an incoming icicle, now hanging high above Weavile.

Thread burst from his boots and body, attaching the Adept to a nearby wall as his scythe disassembled, quickly taking the shape of a Gatling gun, one that would quickly fire a storm of string bullets the moment Weavile came within sight.

His efforts were unsuccessful to say the least, and Specter countered with the use of superior technology.

Psyduck had the sense to dive off the chair to avoid capture, landing on his tummy. Now, instead of getting up like a normal creature, The Duck boosted himself up with Surf, but he didn't stop at upright-ness. The wave continued to attack the chair, for some reason it was a prioritized target. After that though, his priorities were set straight again, and using the tall wave, he launched himself at Specter with a Zen Headbutt!

The hands of the chair missed as they clapped together where Psyduck originally was going to be. Upon the duck tumbling to the ground, the chair received an order.

"Little one, this is pointless. I don't need to lift a finger to defeat someone such as yourself..."

Specter simply crossed his arms, bemused at Psyduck's struggle. The chair suddenly soared up into the air, the water from Psyduck's surf righting the flightless avian into a zen headbutt attack. As he encroached, Specter met him head on, simply standing with confidence. That's when the chair came down from above, landing right in front of specter. Psyduck felt the cold, hard steel of the mighty slap before he knew what was going on, and was thrown skidding through the dirt away from the monkey, though The Duck was right back on his webbed feet in no time, his pride making sure of that.
So that didn't work. Psyduck was really wishing he had some notes on how to beat monkeys from his last encounter, too bad the waterfowl couldn't read nor write. He'd just have to improvise.
...But improvisation would have to wait, as The Duck had no idea what to do as of that moment. His best bet was to take advantage of the other fight going on; he didn't know exactly where they were, but he had a vague idea. And so, he scooted his feathery butt towards where he heard the sound of gunfire and miniature hurricanes, whilst keeping his focus on the flying danger monkey and keeping him at bay with short spurts of Hydro Pump.

As the duck flipped down helplessly from the slap, Specter gave a pitied chuckle, walking around to his chair and calmly sitting atop it.

"Is it survival the fuels your goal to continue? It's natural, but know you are just making this harder on yourself. I cannot guarantee a quick death if you continue to resist."

That's when Psyduck got up and began to run. Specter shook his head. He didn't think the yellow one would simply give up just like that. The thrusters roared to life on the back of his chair, sending him and it forward straight at Psyduck. As the avaian shot spurts of panicked, inaccurate water streams, Specter simply watched several pass by him. When one came at him head on, he raised a hand and chopped down, the water splitting in two with his psychic energy.

"So be it. It's game over for you, duck!"

He charged an orange sphere in his left hand before thrusting it over him like a mortar. It would land directly in front of Psyduck judging by the pace he was going, exploding into a flurry of flaming hot shrapnel! This would not only blow Psyduck off his corpse, but litter it's body with sharp burning debris.

Despite Specter's superior stance, both mentally and physically, Psyduck remained undisturbed, his brow furrowed in defiance instead. That's when the primate began charging a mystery attack, that's when The Duck got a little worried. And when the aforementioned attack of mystery was lobbed in his direction? Well, Psyduck received a nice serving of panic, roughly proportionate to his worry.
Sputtering, glancing about, and still backpedaling like his life depended on it(because it kinda did at the moment), the waterfowl figured to perform the same move he has been, and Hydro Pump-ed at the ground beneath him. This sent him upwards from the recoil and over the initial blast. One thing he didn't account for was flaming shrapnel, as there wasn't much of that in the Pokémon universe.

Thank Arceus for resistances, though.

The attack was much less effective than probably intended, though a few singed feathers implied that it at least did something. Then the yellow football of energy landed flat on his stomach, and he felt as the exorbitant amount of food he stuffed into his gizzard threatened to come up. As if by sheer willpower, he kept it down and pushed himself back up.

He then resumed his backpedaling toward the super soldier killing machine and spitting pressurized water at his opponent, just like last time but he was closer this time.

Specter shook his head as the shrapnel blew Psyduck down to the ground, Specter now taking the stance ahead of The water type. It didn't take a genius to figure out their angle.

"Psyduck, was it? Think about it. After this match, even if you win, you will have to fight a superior foe than yourself. You are the weakest link here. You know this to be true. Even now, you are running to hide behind others to ensure your own victory. Is there truly nothing else to you but cowardice?"

Psyduck rushed to get past him, aiming to use a point blank hydro pump. This time it was focused and not separated, at closer ranges at that. Specter raised his hands as the water beam hit, the simian grunting as his psychic powers fought it back. Surprisingly strong for such a small thing. He wasn't going to be able to retaliate with his hands defending himself. Instead...

He sent a signal to his chair with his helmet. That's when missiles fired off from the back of his chair whilst Specter matched Psyduck's momentum, not letting him get ahead.

"so somewhere within sight..." He added to himself. Now, luckily for Axe, while Snake was the absolute icon of stealth to many, Axe managed to barely spot him sticking his head out of a house - Just barely. "Aha!" He told himself a cheer, before realising he probably wouldn't reach Snake in time before Snake could get away, so he just threw his shield as hard as he can towards Snake, hoping to get lucky again with a sharp hit.

Master Chief

"Uh... it's headed right for us...! We'll get caught in the vortex!" Kalmiya pointed out the obvious as the Spartan stood his ground, glancing away from the whirlpool to look at his opponents. Hareta, concealed behind Empoleon, was digging. The Empoleon's tactics was offering the kid too much breathing room.

"Chief!"

"Let it," was what John replied with, before he leaped up- and into- the whirlpool. His shields flared around him, bits of debris pinging about as he was engulfed. From the Empoleon's perspective, it appeared like a quick and easy hit, free of charge, but in the next second, Master Chief emerged at the top of the spout, using the same piece of metal he'd thrown as a board, his boots magnetizing the surface as a film of yellow light surrounded his body, his shields still active.

Using the metal like a surfboard, Chief stuck his arms out for balance, allowing the swirling waves and his positioning to let him move in quick circles, riding the torrent, before he timed his next move. John's thrusters activated, and he suddenly shot out of the whirlpool after having only been in it for a few seconds, the Spartan soaring through the air, the metal still beneath him.

Using it like a secondary shield, John began to fall toward Empoleon and Hareta rapidly, the metal between them as he dropped heavily in their direction, closing the distance lightning quick.

Solid Snake

Axe noticed him. Perfect. Snake ducked his head back the moment he could see recognition register on his opponents face, intentionally baiting the kid toward him. The shield throw resulted in it becoming embedded in the wooden doorframe where Snake's head had been a moment before. Without wasting much time, Snake yanked it off and (should it have no defenses against it) slid his arm through the straps to provide Axe's own defense as Snake's, all while the soldier waited for Axe to near, at which point Snake would detonate his second explosive near the front entrance.

As soon as Chief was swamped by the whirlpool, the penguin nodded in satisfaction. It was over.

...Or so it thought. What happened next shocked the penguin as his foe erupted out of the whirlpool, riding the same price of debris as a surfboard!

"Empo...!"

CLANG!

There was no time to react. Before Empoleon could withdraw it's flippers, it was hit square on with a speeding metal object. It was tossed over the crouching Hareta and rammed straight into the wall, where it was pinned by the large piece of debris. Hareta poked his head up from where he was burrowing, shocked to see the creative use of debris.

"Woah! Empoleon!"

Remembering halfway through that sentence that Chief had fast reacting firearms, he half clung to the canyon wall. As Empoleon struggled to create a Hydro Pump in it's gullet, a build of pressure began to swell and swell.

"Gotta admit...that was pretty cool." Hareta sweated. "I would tell that to your face if you weren't tryin' to blow off mine!"

The slam had sent the Empoleon flying, and Hareta darted off with a complimentary comment. John watched as the Empoleon began to charge up another attack, which Kalmiya noted was the same from earlier atop the conveyor belt. The Spartan slammed his foot down on the edge of the metallic debris he'd rode in on, and it flipped upward, his wrist magnetizing to it.

With a burst of speed, Chief shot forward, using the debris like a shield wall as he closed the now shorter distance than before, and the Empoleon fired. Tilting the shield, Chief used it strategically to deflect most of the weight and aim of the hydro pump, and while he did stumble to adjust his balance, the water began to tear apart the debris, offering little time in the way of its strategic use, so instead, the Spartan pushed forward, releasing his hold on the remaining metal to let it be torn away, Chief sliding just on the underside of the blast of water, its proximity making his shields flare more, and then he slammed his fist forward, intending on plunging it through the Empoleon's center mass, but in the event of failure, John prepared a back-up strategy.

Okay, now Specter was starting to piss him off with the coward comment. Green metal man had gotten away, while missiles thunked out of the back of Specter's ugly(in Psyduck's opinion) chair.

The Duck blasted a Hydro Pump forward, which, faithful to Newton's third law, launched him backwards, between the arcing paths of the missiles, and straight forward Specter.

There's no rhyme nor reason to their attack pattern...

Specter let down his arms from the Hydro Pump defense, seeing Psyduck fly backwards before charging up another headbutt attack. All of that for a basic melee strike? Specter shook his head, holding up a single finger.

"Survival isn't enough of an excuse to put up a pointless resistance." Specter spoke. "It's what you want to survive for."

As the duck flew forward, specter flicked his index finger. That's when the missiles were cloaked in psychic energy. They were all flung in a diagonal path toward each other, all of them exploding upon impact right in front of Psyduck's trajectory! The explosion would wash over the duck and completely ruin his attack plan.

Hareta

As Empoleon's Hydro Pump roared, it began to rip apart the battered debris, which began to give and shake as the trajectory was semi deflected by Chief. That's when the metal clad soldier aimed to plant a fist into Empoleon's chest. But as the debris was shifted, this allowed Empoleon to swoop in with it's metal flippers. So as Chief punched in to the thick hide of the creature, Empoleon would swipe both of it's flippers to stab into his armored arm, hoping to not only ensnare it, but batter the armor.

Empoleon was heavily damaged by the blow, it's metallic hide battered and the the water stream stopping as the wind was knocked out of him. However, there was something coming to help him.

"Hey! I clan play that game too!"

That's when Hareta leaped up behind Chief, doing his super-secret-sneak-attack-but-not-really-cause-he-shouted-it attack. He swooped in with a roundhouse kick to the square of Chief's back while he was busy.

Ringing of his shields signified their status as Empoleon's flippers cut into the Spartan's gauntlet---though he didn't budge, instead using his lifting strength to attempt to swing the Empoleon over his head, as his fist was embedded in the creature. He did this in unison with Hareta's dialogue, so that when the kick came, it would instead hit the boy's own Empoleon as it was slugged head-first into the ground, to which Chief would follow up by thrusting his own leg out and kicking the Empoleon away from his embedded fist and into Hareta, ideally sending them both flying.

However, Chief's aforementioned "back-up strategy" was revealed, as embedded inside of the Empoleon where Chief's fist had been was a frag grenade, and the pin was hanging off of the Spartan's thumb, the grenade a second away from detonating following John's kick.

His kick rammed into Empoleon full force as Hareta used the momentum of the kick to kick off of the metal bird pokemon, somersaulting through the air. That's when he landed on the side of the canyon wall, clinging onto it like a spider monkey.

Empoleon was kicked toward the foot of his canyon wall before suddenly exploding violently, the wall shaking as his grasp buckled. He hastily gripped another foothold on the wall as the Pokémon below succumbed to the wounds dealt in such a short time. It was down. Hareta breathed a sigh that he found his grip on the wall, taking out a pokeball with a free hand to recall the flightless bird.

"Geez, sorry buddy..." he spoke.

He focused for now on getting to a more advantageous situation. So he continued what he started: the climb. He hastily climbed faster than any boy his size should before-

"Alley-oop!"

He leaped up to the ground level above the canyon, taking out a pokeball from his bag. He hoped the Spartan wasn't hot on his tail.

"C'mon out!"

He was quick to shout out for a friend to summon out of his pokeball. ...at least he hoped. When he released the Pokémon, they were nowhere to be seen. Hareta looked side to side, hastily looking for the creature.

"Uhhh??? Helloooo?? Where'd you go?! We are in a battle!"

Master Chief

"Wow, that one was brutal," Kalmiya commented as Chief watched the boy begin to scale the wall. "What do you think his plan is?" the AI inquired. John raised his arm and fired a grappleshot, snapping against the side of the canyon, before yanking him upward, the hum of his shields recharging sounding in his ears. He didn't give Kalmiya an answer yet, as the moment Hareta arrived at the top, the Spartan slammed against the rock only a couple meters to his left.

Instead of firing his weapon at the boy, who was in the process of tossing another ball, the Spartan tossed forward a small cylindrical device, which immediately activated, releasing bursts of electricity all over the place as it bounced haphazardly---a dynamo grenade, electricity surging all about. In typical fashion with the enemies Chief fought and used the dynamo grenade on, it would usually stun them into place, though very rarely some of his tougher foes could shrug off the paralysis they endured. It wasn't high in dealing damage, but it could usually force an opponent into one place as they jerked from the volts surging through them. This was what Chief was banking on, as he would open fire with his CQS48 Bulldog, which he slid from his lower back, the rapid-fire shotgun rounds pumping toward either Hareta, if caught in the blast, or whatever new summon had appeared, if also caught in the blast. If neither, the Spartan would fire the wide-spread kinetic weapon all the same.

Psyduck
BOOOOM!

Psyduck's plan blew up in his face, literally in this case. His psychic helmet came in handy, though he was still sent tumbling away. Man, his headache was starting to flare up again, though he shook it off and got right back up.
Questioning Psyduck's beliefs, eh? What'd that idiot know, he probably didn't have any friends anyway. He wouldn't understand, and so The Duck felt no obligation to defend himself. The fool probably was just fighting for more bananas, who was he to talk?
And then another beam of water ripped from his mouth, first digging into the earth, but the recoil rocked his head back, and up to and past Specter's level!
In doing so it kicked up a bit of a dust cloud, because even though most dirt got wet, the beam was still potent enough to indirectly kick up the cloud.
Immediately after that attack, a swell of water was summoned forth, which the bird hopped off as it travelled forward, the turbulent wave absorbing the puff of dirt as it hoped to also engulf the monkey and his chair!

Hareta

"Jgbjvjvkvk-!"

Hareta's body jittered as he was shocked by the sudden dynamo grenade activation. He was completely paralyzed in place! Right then, Chief aimed his bulldog up at the big and began to spray at him!

...Yet the bullets slowed as they approached him until they came to a half centimeters away from his face. The surroundings began to wobble and discolorate around Hareta's position as everything started to get topsy turvy.

Thats when a ghost emerged from Hareta's chest, it's long branch like hairs wriggling and flowing with the tune of the psychic band waves. It was the ghost Pokémon: Misdreavus! The bullets were caught in it's wide ranged Psybeam attack. And as Misdreavus continued it's spooky entrance, it ended with a-

"DREEE!"

It screeched it's name as to spook it's foe as the psybeam turned jet black, releasing a thick dark pulse back out from their position, the attack booming out with a thick reverb.

Specter

"Come now, don't give me that look. This is not pleasant for me either"

Psyduck seemed to be planning something. Probably another futile headlong rush in a stubborn effort of vengeance. But Psyduck instead shot at the ground kicking up a dust cloud. Strategy? From the fowl? How unexpected...! As the dust cleared, Specter's eyes widened as a wave came crashing down on him. He held an arm up to shield himself-

SKRRRRRRR!!!!

His chair skid against the ground, sparks hot enough to still light despite being swamped by water. Specter himself was primarily shielded from the front of the wave, but the chair was fully exposed as it screeched to a halt. The wave had ended. The chair sat there, sparking and glitching out. It wasn't physically damaged, not massively. But the water didn't seem to be kind to the controls as they went on the fritz, refusing to listen to commands.

"You had my mercy, duck." Specter adjusted his cape as he stood on his own two feet. "Now you have my attention."

Dominance. That's what would happen. Specter's hands crackled with the static of energy that began to flow through him. His body levitated off the ground a few feet before-

BLAST!

He discharged an orb from his hands, the orb pulsating with electric blue light as it sped toward Psyduck. If it were to explode, it would erupt into a plasma like inferno, flashes of electric-like psychic energy flashing up out from the epicenter.

Master Chief

After about four quick shots, which saw the bullets slow then stop, the Spartan slid the bulldog back behind him as Kalmiya performed a thorough scan of Hareta, though her energy was found as the second summoned pokemon emerged.

"That's Misdreavus, Chief. It's a literal ghost, so don't expect your guns to do much. You packed a plasma rifle, right?"

"Slipped my mind," John replied as the reflective barrier around Misdreavus faded, and was replaced by swirling dark energy, which was quick to condense and fire toward the Spartan. His shields took the brunt of the blast, though broke with the hazarding alarms to sound, and Chief was lifted off his feet, flung backward. Hareta's partners seemed to particularly enjoy these beam-like attacks, as this dark pulse was following the Empoleon's primary strategy of hydro pump. Difference was, Chief couldn't simply close the distance this time and beat it to death.

He needed to switch up his strategy.

Breastplate lightly smoking from the blast, the Spartan fell to the ground, positioning himself just enough, to allow himself a feet-first landing. Rock and earth shattered about from his impact, creating a small crater about the Chief, but his mobility didn't seem hindered in the slightest, the Spartan glancing about his immediate area to grow an idea.

He still needed to get the fight closer to Cairo Station.

Axe

"Hey! Give that back!" Axe grumbled and yelled as he slightly saw Snake take his own shield!
Shouldn't have thrown that...okay, I need something else!!
Of course, as most people would, Axe began to slow down as he saw this. He have have been stupid, but he was not an idiot, after all.
Hm...Maybe it's a trap, and he doesn't know how to use a shield...Ah, no, that's stupid, of course he knows how to use a shield, who doesn't?! Right, so he's probably gonna try and bait me into getting hit by it...I got an idea!

And so, Axe began to dash forward again after thinking, not clutching the green stone in one hand and attempting to hide the best he could...

Duck!
There, now that was satisfying, to stick it to the monkey with a superiority complex.

"Now you have my attention."

Psyduck smirked at the statement, he wanted the worst that Specter could dish out, even if the monkey did scare him a whole lot.

But what scared him even more was the big blue orb of energy in his hands, from which Psyduck turned tail and ran. He ran as fast as his stubby little legs could take him, but it wasn't fast enough as the explosion caught him.

The Duck was tossed forward, and ate grass once again. He groaned as he once again got up, and immedietely resumed his original strategy of running for the Master Chief. This time he made it, now that the big guy was out of the canyon. And so a good 2-3 feet away from the Spartan, he turned around and faced Specter with all the smugness he could muster. The Duck being in close proximity to the soldier limited his opponent's options, and he'd count on that to give him an edge!

Specter & Hareta

"You must think little of me if you believe that ploy will work."

Specter calmly walked forward, his cape flapping in the wind and he unsheathed a black cutlass from his side, extending it out from his body in an domineering fashion.

"That will not stop me."

.
..
...

"Yeah! We got 'em on the run!" Hareta exclaimed as he punched the air. "Now we gotta take 'em down!"

He didn't plan on any of that to happen, but the greatest plan is one where you wing it! Hareta grinned as he ran towards Chief, pointing forward as Misdreavus took the lead.

"Now lay into 'em! Shadow Ball!"

Misdreavus would charge up a black orb from her mouth, aiming toward master Chief when...

"Huh? Is that Psyduck?"

Psyduck was close to the blast radius. He'd hit the both of them! Then he'd be disqualified!

"Turn away Misdreavus!"

That's when the ghost panicked, getting all sorts of anxious before blindingly tossing the shadow ball in a random direction. The blast hit to the side of the crater, breaking up all the ground and causing a plume of dust to erupt.

Solid Snake

His solid eye detailed Axe as he tried to slosh forth toward the building. He didn't seem to be aware of the trap... perhaps he assumed it was lain inside the building, not outside. So as Axe approached the front stairs...

BOOM!

An eruption of smoke and vaporized water exploded outward, just as before, and Snake was quick to conjure out his tranquilizer gun. With a tug on the straps of Axe's shield to make sure it was secure on the soldier's forearm, Snake stepped into the doorway, aiming outward, his solid eye allowing him to see through any of the residue and debris for Axe, if the boy had survived the second explosion. Should he have, Snake would immediately fire two tranqs toward the kid with the hopes of ending the fight quickly.

Master Chief

"Chief? Looks like Psyduck's got a strategy."

John glanced over his shoulder at the short duck that had waddled to stand a few feet away, glaring challengingly at Specter. Judging from the anger in the simian's eyes, the duck was exceeding his expectations.

Hareta had dropped back down from the high canyon, and wisely had Misdreavus redirect a blast called "shadow ball" away from Chief due to the risk of striking Psyduck and being eliminated. In the time it took Hareta to do this, Chief tossed out a small panel, which erupted a large energy shield, 9 feet tall, 16 feet wide, made of a yellow energy. A drop wall, which would absorb and block attacks from the other side, while on Chief's side, he could safely fire his weapons. His bullets, when passing through the drop wall, would become electrified and work similarly to the dynamo grenade, though at a more lethal level due to the fact that it's, y'know, bullets.

Using his MA40, John fired rapidly through the drop wall toward Misdreavus the same moment it redirected its shadow ball. If it produced the same barrier as before, Chief would immediately redirect his fire at Hareta. Considering Psyduck's closeness, he would be spared from anything coming from Hareta for now due to the drop wall's size.
