Renz hesitated for a moment. He really didn't like leaving Maker there, it went against his morals. However, he felt the pressure of Kathren's hand on his wrist, and understood Maker's signal, so he reluctantly played along. 'Yeah, I guess they got it taken care of... c'mon, let's go. Let's walk though, I need to catch my breath." He turned and slipped his wrist from Kathren's grasp slightly so he could hold her hand instead of having her drag him by the wrist. He was surprised the grunts had seemed to believe Kathren's story. And he also felt that if these people were connected to the boogers' employers, that they might have recognized one of the trainers, or at least his Garchomp. Even in Sinnoh, Garchomp was not particularly common. Maybe they had just been very lucky.... but the farther they walked from the clearing, the worse Renz felt about leaving Maker there. He tried to justify himself; he thought about the overwhelming numbers of the enemy. He thought of how they could go back and rescue Maker once they had regrouped and formed a plan. Yes, of course, that was it. They would find another way to rescue her, once they had had more time to think out a plan. He returned Garchomp to his Pokeball, as if he had let the Pokemon out only to help with the pursuit and was returning him now that it was over.
Once they were a safe distance away from the clearing, Renz glanced at Kathren. He was still feeling a bit uncomfortable with himself, and to be honest, he was still scared. He squeezed her hand slightly. "So... what do we do now? Should we try and find the others? Or head back to G's house, or the Pokemon Center?" He sighed once he had asked his questions. He was feeling a bit helpless, and he hated it.
