NEW PLOT (welcoming new RPers - ask to join!)
!~~~***1.5 years later***~~~!
In the aftermath of Tempest's rise and fall in Kalos, the recurrent issue of 'evil teams' has been at the forefront of the world's attention. With teams like Rocket, Galactic, Flare, etc. rising to prominence time and time again, no matter how many times they are put down, it has become apparent that dealing with them on a case-by-case basis is only a superficial, and ineffectual solution to a much deeper problem - that problem being: why do evil teams emerge in the first place? The answer to that is simple enough: because the world is not a perfect place, and there are always marginalized people willing to create, or join such teams...
But what to do about this problem? on this question, people are divided; and the Sinnoh Region, in particular, has become a region of great political strife.
Some say: "Show no mercy to evil team members - we ought to lock them all up and throw away the key!" " Others say: "We should show them sympathy - it's not their fault that they turned out this way!" Then, there are several fringe groups gaining traction, like the Sinnohan Society for Mythic Retrogression (SSMR), who harbour their own bizarre beliefs on how to combat the issue... Not to mention that there are still Team Galactic supporters around...
All-in-all, the Sinnoh Region has become very unstable; the public is fearful of the next 'evil uprising,' and is in disagreement on to what to do about it... With so many politicians and ideologues fighting to take control of the situation, there may be some nefarious schemes afoot... Which is why Azumi Towers, a new recruit of the international police, has been sent to investigate...
(With regards to what other people want to RP as, I'm open to anything as long as it works with the plot - so just run it by me!)

*OLD PLOT
You were a trainer going about your journey in the Kalos Region when all of a sudden things took a terrible turn... During your stay in Lumiose, what would have otherwise been a beautiful and peaceful day was violently interrupted by an unforeseen, and unprecedented organization laying siege to the city. Civilians chaotically scampered about as armoured vehicles stormed the streets and grunts lashed out with powerful pokemon. As a trainer you felt a duty to to combat the foe, and so you did; but at some point during the battle for Lumiose City you were overwhelmed, and everything went dark...
Cut to the present: you've just woken up in a mysterious facility. Your memories of the battle come flooding back, and you realize that you must have been captured. You reach for your pokemon, but they appear to have been confiscated. Strangely enough, however, you notice that the cell you're in is not locked...
Intro Format:
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Team (just 3 for now):
Personality and stuff should come across in how you write your character.
RP START!
Name: Miles
Age: 15
Gender: male
Team: Glalie, Florges, Drifloon
Miles awoke in what was, surprisingly, a fairly accommodating room. The cot was comfortable enough and the atmosphere was bright, but the unnatural fluorescence gave it a bit of a sour taste... Regardless, this was a thousand times better than the dank prison cell he imagined himself waking up in when the enemy first caught him. In fact, he would feel quite safe here if not for the fact that his pokemon were nowhere to be found...
Miles made his way over to the door and pressed a green button on the wall next to it. The door slid open without protest.
"Interesting..." he thought to himself. "Well, I may as well have a look around - see if I can find my pokemon, or even some of the other trainers I fought alongside..."
