Private/Closed Convergence Omniversal Heroes

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
Name: Belowski
Location: Camelot

Belowski looked at the hot dog wrapped in a tortilla, which he didn’t seem to mind at all, even when it was to be passed off as a burrito. Belowski however seemed a little distraught after Sans said the price.

“Aw man, bummer. I don’t think I got anythin’ on me.” He explained. “But really, what is money other than the man’s way of ensuring the endless strengthening of the high end of socio economic powers in an endless cycle to abuse the free market?”

Belowski seemed more troubled about the money situation rather than he was talking to a living (and maybe breathing) skeleton wearing clothes.

Name: Doug Duem & Numemon
Location: Saudi Arabia (Haloverse)

“Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!”

Doug jumped back as he saw deformed human shapes...zombies! Fleshy tendrils coming from their innards and their heads Flashed open and dangling to their sides. It was gruesome, and it made him sick to his stomach. Oh gee...what would Blue Falcon leader Ceicelia do? Doug looked to the likes of cat girl, a running marine, and the rest of the desolate city around them.

...no. I can’t run here. It’s a tamer’s duty to protect those that cannot protect themselves! We were brought here for a reason...and I think this is the reason. Yes, yes that must be it!

Doug, now wearing a confident frown on his face, turned to Numemon, who stared wide eyed at the horde of hive minded zombiee.

“Numemon! Time to put those weapons to use!”

“Thought ya weren’t gonna ask!”

And just like that, Numemon readied two heavy rockets...those of which Doug told him to put back, but at this point he wasn’t going to complain. The twin rockets were fired, swerving into the flood lines and detonating wildly

At the time, the she-wolf remained silent while following along with everyone as they ventured towards the sewers, keeping her eyes and ears open. Her mind slowly went into auto pilot, allowing most of her animal instinct to take control as the group continued on, half listening to whatever words were spoken among them with little interest. The word 'Dracula' somewhat caught her attention, bringing back memories of hunting down vampires here and there when they had become a problem, although if there were vampires in this world then they would be nothing like what she had dealt with before.

They were guided to an alleyway by Eileen, helping them avoid the dangerous monstrosity looming in the sky above as they moved along the alley. It didn't take them long to reach a gate leading into the sewer, allowing them safety for the time being once everyone had entered through. The putrid smell hit the werewolf like a brick wall, making her cringe and nearly vomit as she fought the urge to pass out. The waste felt wet and slimy against her bare feet, but she ignored it as they trudged through the dark sewers.

Despite her sense of smell being useless, she instinctively relied on her eyes and ears as if she was on the hunt. A small feeling tugged at her core that something dangerous was possibly lurking in the sewers with them, something other than mere rats and boars, however, she pushed the feeling away for now as she focused on keeping herself conscious and standing against the horrid sewer smell.

Without warning, bile quickly rose up from her stomach as she vomited the rotting contents of her last meal, making her body quiver once her stomach was emptied.

Name: Kyuseishu
Location: Specter's Shuttle

Kyuseishu was silent as Specter began to refute his non-answer, his gaze had never left the window that overlooked the world as Specter outlined his reasons as Specter advanced and starred into his mask. What he saw were a pair of blue eyes that never lacked conviction and were unwavered even as his trust for this hypothetical alliance was called into question. The spectral avatar would soon respond facing the heightened simian.

"Not a bad analysis, and far from incorrect of you to assume. In truth I tend to keep the secrets of the Infinity Rift secret from even allies I know I can trust, my own followers in that trinity group you've been watching to name an example. So this matter is less of you and my capacity to trust you more so a personal safe-keep. Though if you desire to see my intent merely watch that world below..." Kyuseishu directed as he offered a hand to point int that direction for Specter's view as the opening above the atmosphere seemed to grow and radiate pure power.

Name: Caulifla
Location: Camelot

Caulifla had an eyebrow raised as the skeleton casually jabbed a thumb her direction as she was almost distracted by this conversation. These two had as much fire as a dimly lit candle, still though the Saiyan was hungry and she glanced at the menu that he offered.

"I'll take four hotdogs. Extra ketchup." Caulifla said casually as he figured a light snack would allow her to focus on finding this Goku guy.

----------
Name: Toph
Location: Goldenwalk

Of all the answers Toph was expecting to hear, that had not been even an option for consideration as for once the blind Earthbender had been stunned. Dying, and based on her feeling of his heart beat she could tell he had been telling her the truth which the fact he only seemed a bit grouchy over the whole dying thing was a lot to take in.

"And....what? That's it? You seem pretty calm about this, like it is a done deal. What no way to reverse it or anything?" Toph asked as from her view one would be trying to find a curse to his poising rather than just accept death.

----------
Name: Ogremon
Location: Saudi Arabia (Halo)

Ogremon saw the display of what appeared to be some sort of hologram before his eyes, as the woman on the other end provided some tidbits though before Ogremon had a chance to respond to any of them these unearthly shrieks filled the air.

Parts of corpses flew in the air which had caught Ogremon by suprises, before this legion of inhuman monsters came from all sides. Some panicked, others seemed to ask for information unsure what to do. And Ogremon.

"Ah finally! This is more like it. Come and get some!"

He sung his club with glee a parts of the flood which knocked them flying back as he seemed eager for this attack.

Logan
Goldenwalk - Business District
"No." He frowned, rubbing at the temple of his forehead in agitation. "I can't stop it. Nothing can." With that, he looked back toward the group. Toph. Spider-Man, Alina and Y, who seemed to still be out of commission.

"We done with the pity party?" He asked aggressively toward the Earthbender.

Sans
Camelot - Training Grounds
The monster continued to lean lazily against the counter, appearing quite apathetic to Belowski's dilemma. He listened to the kid talk about the 'man', something Belowski clearly viewed as a being or a force with a hold over people and their way of life. Sans was certain if he asked Belowski a political question, or even asked if he should buy a car, it would somehow turn into a conversation, or more likely, a long-winded lecture about how the 'man' controls everything and everyone.

The skeleton offered a shrug to Belowski. "i'll put it on your tab." He replied simply, before averting his attention to Caulifla, who made a nicely sized order. "extra ketchup?" His grin widened. "i think i just might start loving you."
He reached under the counter and pulled out two bottles of ketchup, placing them on the surface of the counter. "here ya go." He told her, opening one of the bottles and chugging it down, leaving the other for the Saiyan.
It took her a second or two to come to the startling realization that four hotdogs were teetering dangerously on the top of her head, stacked deliberately on top of one another.

"what type of currency do you have, anyway?" He asked her.

Carolina
Medina - Saudi Arabia
It was a blood bath.

The newcomers seemed to hold themselves actually pretty well against the Flood threat, but the Marines were next to defenseless, one being cut down left and right until only a small handful remained.
Bullets filled the air, gunshots ringing in everyone's ears as the combat forms continued to flood in.

"We need to fall back!" Carolina yelled, firing down several combat forms as another reached her, swinging its whip-like appendage.
She was quick to leap over it, twirling sideways in the air as she tossed away the now empty BR55 Battle Rifle, opting to yank two Plasma Rifles off her hips, still twirling as she fired rapidly, spraying down several opponents, the plasma burning through their rotted flesh.
She landed on her feet, quick to continue firing while keeping the firing rate in check so as to avoid the rifles overheating.

The front line of Flood streaming in from a side alley was blown apart by two missiles, which conveniently left open a very large and accessible gap for the group to strategically retreat through. "Move! Down the alley!" She yelled back at those still alive around her.

The Hunter
Specter's Ship Pipotron Chamber

The swordkeysmen were relentless. The Hunter knew his little diversion wouldn't buy them much time, but they were much faster than he anticipated- Quickly splitting him and Hiro apart. He was confronted by the woman of the trio, who's language was...damn bizarre. It sounded like Hiro's voice, but it was interjected by a sass and something far too casual to be taking this seriously. And bizarre words that made no sense...Eye dee kay?

Her odd speaking patterns wouldn't stop the Hunter though. He had a plan to execute. He swung the saw cleaver at her one way- an attempt to distract. "Eye dee kay make my job easier! YAAAAA!" His shout was to distract her. Block the cleaver, not the urn filled with inflammable oil heading for her shoulder. He glanced to Hiro. He'd follow, right?

Just trick the bastards into blasting out fire and they'd start the flames themselves. If things went completely according to his plan. If was the true key word. Cause it could easily come apart.

...But it wouldn't though. The Hunter was sure of it.

-----
Eileen the Crow, Ridley
Central Yharnam Sewers

Trudging through the sewers, Eileen's plague beak stuffed full of aromatic herbs blocked most of the disgusting smells. Most, because the occasional smell of gore and waste water occasionally slipped through the wall of scents. She couldn't imagine what it would've been without one.

She glanced over at the group, and Shaynuh promptly vomiting.

...Maybe she could.

"This should connect to the main canal. We can get to the tomb, and then to the chapel. Where you lot can wait out this infernal night." Hmm. That other Hunter...she told him not to go to the tomb, but if he was there this would make things more convenient. Step by step, she lead the group down the dark space.

Ridley, meanwhile, was quite enjoying his time. The rats were entertainingly ineffective, their sharpened teeth still too dull to even pierce his scaly armor. The hogs however proved a fine way to pass time- actually aggressive and able to injure him ever so slightly, providing a drop of challenge in the sea of mediocrity and sewer water surrounding him.

One snorted and squealed, charging at Ridley. A fatal mistake, as Ridley's new transformation rendered him blind...but improved in other senses. Which were already exceptional to the top Space Pirate. Leaping on it's back, claws digging into the boar's soft and frail skin, sinking his maw into it, and tearing out it's spine. The malformed bones soon splashed into the dingy mud surrounding them, Ridley following. The massive hog toppling over, dead.

He scratched out that last part. Now aware of how the pigs worked, he found even they lacked a challenge.

Those people...Ridley would snake them out. Those humans would be entertaining to maul. Boars didn't talk enough for the pirate.

-----
Raiden
Camelot Castle Halls

The castle seemed much slower than it had been before the fight. Knights and travelers alike wandering around with a dizzy, drowsy look to them. Just like those on the training field...Perhaps it had been more spreading than he thought. Which was bad. Most everyone going out like a light? That was so many dangers waiting to happen. That kid was way more destructive than he could've even imagined...

Through doors and doors Raiden went, occasionally a sleepy knight pointing him in the direction of a 'Gawain'. And it had paid off- leading him to a trio of figures, one his display helpfully marked as Merlina, 'Figure of Authority'. Recorded from their brief meeting earlier.

"Lady Merlina, yes? I'm Raiden. We kind of met earlier. Did everyone fall asleep here too?"

-----
Jetstream Sam
Camelot Castle Town

Sam could only laugh at Bowser's insistence. Being royalty and all that. "You know, Bowser? You remind me of someone. A mister Armstrong. Very dedicated, motivated man. Strong too. Big, big aspirations." Despite how the last pat on the back ended up with him suspended in the air, he gambled another one. "Maybe you and I should go at it sometime. Though the last time I went up against Armstrong, he gave me this." He tapped on his robotic arm. "So I'm expecting a good show out of you."

Sam was trying to still find challenges. Raiden was still holding back for now, much to Sam's disappointment. Even after everything he said...Maybe he could kill the old war hero tethering down the cyborg himself. That would no doubt set him mad once again. Though the moral and temporal questions raised by Snake's untimely death perhaps stopped the samurai from doing such a thing in the present moment.

Bowser, meanwhile, seemed to make a fine replacement. A curious fighter, no doubt, and he wasn't all too dissimilar to Armstrong. That fight had been rather exhilarating until his arm got chopped off...

Kiran
Camelot Castle Town

It really seemed like Bro couldn't say a sentence without a reference to his ventures in attaining a lady. But he also offered to help him with his helmet. "Ah! Great. They say more hands are...Uh...Something with quick work." And immediately realizing what someone could get out of it..."Please don't make the joke that I'm sure your going to make."

Stepping into the halls of Camelot Castle, there were...noises. Of...conflict? Were the cyborgs going at it again, with no one around to stop them? Well, Kiran clearly wasn't going to stop them. Just casually slip by, like before...

And as he entered the dining hall, he realized what the noise was. Some black mass of a figure tearing out chunks of the wall, tossing it into a man he had seen earlier- and the chunk promptly shattering into dust, as Artemis blasted it out of the air, into dust. As if he needed more of a reason to keep Bro far away from her.

"Uh...Hey Bro. Remember what we did in the throne room earlier? Where we just kind of slipped past? We can do that here too, right?"

Sarah, Samus, and the Flamebringer
Atlantic Oceanside

"I bet we could take him!" Sarah said with a pep and fist pump, axe already in her hands. There was only one of evil imposing dark cloaked figures and like, twelve of them! Even if he was worse than a master ganondoof!

"Indeed, we will crush him like the King! None shall impede us!" The Flamebringer pounded her fists together, embers sparking from the impact.

And Samus's great inspiration words. "No, we won't." Much to the surprise of the two gung-ho ones, "This is different."

"How so?" Sarah argued. "There's so many of us. He's a chump if we gang up on him!"

"Look. I've known Sonic for some time. He's cocky, but he also has the power to back that up. So if he's worried? We should be too." Samus's tone hadn't deviated much from it's strict origins, but she somehow managed to come off as even more serious than usual. "And longer than Sonic, I've known Ganondorf and Master Hand. They are not names to be thrown around lightly, both being capable opponents. Far exceeding the King we toppled." In one fell swoop, she managed to shut up both of the ones willing to go in guns blazing. Leaving Flamebringer to cross her arms, staring down the black figure on the ocean's surface, and how he was not moving...or pursuing. Sarah continued listening in on what came next.

"Sonic, give us a run down. Who's this guy, what's his motive? Can we talk him down?" Samus doubted the last of those questions. Most of her enemies never worked like that. Ridley, Mother Brain, Ganondorf...They all reveled in the destruction and bloodshed they caused.

Talking was never an option for them, and would never be one.

Priscilla, Jackson, Quint
Goldenwalk Streets

"Wh-"

A silvery blur briefly obscured their views, bright and flashy in the scarce moonlight. Shouting something about...a soft drink? Pep...si? Presenting one to Wario, leaving a case behind in his wake. It was a crowning bizarre moment in a night filled with them, stunning the three natives to the world silent. Until Quint finally broke it.

"...He's new here, right? I haven't just been out of the loop on this?"

"I guess companies are getting into the superhero business too?" Jackson answered back.

"Or brought by those crystals, like everyone else we've run into."

"That too, but think about it. Running around, saving people, and advertising your product...make you want to buy it more, giving out free product. Hell, isn't that what we're doing?"

"We aren't exactly doing that though, I mean, you and I have no special technology. And Sarah and Kiran don't just give it out either..."

Priscilla was still rather incredulous over it. Since second-rate soda superheroes didn't dash around every day. Though she soon remembered what Lucario had told her. "...Uh, anyways. You said the auras were above us? That doesn't make any sense, unless...They were on the rooftops. And if they are up there, then...Then...WAIT, EVERYONE BACK UP!!"

But it was too late. Jackson, leading the front of the group, hadn't even registered what Priscilla said. "Look, we're intrinsically tied to the company now, that's all I'm say-" He was cut off, as a bright beam shot down from a rooftop. In a moment, the beam had scorched off his arm, burnt into the asphalt below, and promptly ceased. Jackson's head was a bit fuzzy from the sheer heat, but even when he took a glance at the cauterized flesh and sinew where his arm had been, he could form a cognizant response. "...Shit."

"Target struck, prepare second fire." The soldiers spoke from above. "We have visual on the 'fat italian', over. Firing in three, two..."

No doubt the group had already backed up, but the damage was done and the troops were out for blood. Another beam was fired out, this time towards Wario, and his group. The ground melting away under it's sheer energy, approaching and seemingly increasing in intensity. "GUYS, WE GOT TO SPLIT!" Priscilla wasn't sure where, but there were alleyways on both sides of the street. Good places to run, though'd they would be pushed away from their goal of wherever these guys were staked out.

...Though their goal right now was to not be incinerated, so the alleyways did seem rather conducive to that.

Silver Scythe
Goldenwalk Streets

Clank, clank, clank.

Celice hadn't stopped for Nathan, Blue boy, and Freeman.

She wasn't really sure what she was really doing either...Abigail was going to be pissed off. Being out, using the armor, scuffing it to hell, making arrangements with literal superheroes that would likely conspire against them...And the scythe had it's heating filament busted. Yeah, she'd get two earfuls and a half.

What was her problem anyways? Instituting the four of them in random happenings? Floyd and Odessa, go hang with some weird scientist guy who has a grudge. Abigail had been arranging Celice herself and Anne into some...hired security service...next. That didn't jive well with her. She liked having the freedom of assassination. She didn't have to pretend what she was doing was exactly right then.

Maybe that's why she became such quick friends with the Spiderwoman. An act of rebellion. She wasn't quite a teenager anymore, but she sure as hell acted like one.

Though her train of thought came to a screeching halt as she noticed her new friend on the ground. Right before the most textbook example of a robber Celice had ever seen. Straight off a cheesy comic page.

"Did that guy knock you down?!" The Scythe sounded quite upset at the bandit fellow. "Yeah, you there, stripes! You better explain yourself, before I cut you into ribbons!" She had clearly chosen the nuclear option when it came to friends being threatened, even without the context. Her gaze never left the bandit's as she knelt down. Celice still had to help her to her feet, after all. Polite, friend, thing to do.

-----
Hornet
Arendelle Mountains

"Indeed, our leader Maple has a way to travel between worlds, though finding specific people may not be her forte in particular. I do not have all the answers- let us regroup in the castle hall, where we started." Hornet did not question who that knight was, nor their status. She simply found that unnecessary. Bigger issues were afoot than these...restrained problems.

"Alpha, Kris, that means you too." Alpha wouldn't be a problem, and just like Kris loved to disappear, he also loved to reappear. No doubt he'd be found soon enough. Perhaps already having returned to the hall. Hornet began her return, though was reluctant to go too far ahead of the keyblade wielders and avatar. She no doubt wished to return with her entire group in hand, or at the very least, most of her group.

-----
The Soldier, Decker
City of Mercy

"TF Industries...TF Industries..." Decker rubbed his chin, deep in thought for a moment. And then... "Nope. Never heard of it. You haven't heard of K&O, means you don't know FTM, Plastech, or Sankaku either huh? So I guess we're all strangers here then." Decker didn't give it more thought than that. "But that drink..."

"WAIT!" The Soldier shouted, echoing through the deserted city. He ushered his fellow mercenaries and new patriot away from the antiquated man. "We do not know this demoman. I believe he is something we all must be wary of- A SPY." Soldier had tried to whisper. Key word tried, it was a fairly loud whisper.

"I...I can hear you."

The Soldier ignored Decker, clearly thinking he was in a soundproof bunker. "Likely sent by the Merasmi...just like the ugly dog! I bet there are dozens of other wizards posing as demomen around us as we speak..." The Soldier looked around the sitting, glaring from beneath his helm. "Somewhere..."

"...I can still hear you."

"NO YOU CAN'T! Now that he knows he can't hear us, we can continue to discuss in privacy."

...Decker wasn't even sure what to say anymore.

Except that drink.

He really wanted that drink.

---x---
Commander Cecil
Goldenwalk Downtown

"No idea..." Cecil repeated the words of Chara. Ever the enigma, she was. Perhaps he could get the answer off of Elidocorc himself, though he'd be invariably biased. The flower, perhaps? But it seemed to be squarely under the girl's thumb...The mysteries only stacked further and further.

"Crystal retrieved Sir." His thoughts on the girl dissipated once more. An additional crystal...two more to secure after this. The gate would be opened, disregarding further complications. However, Cecil felt perhaps too overconfident. So many variables left disregarded could easily spiral into chaos...Though with his superiors in Scorpio and Elidocorc backing them, he had no worries in of the moment.

"Then we proceed, men. Once more." Stepping into line, the men rearmed themselves with their laser rifles, they being squarely under Cecil's thumb, and he squarely under Scorpio's, and even Scorpio squarely under Zeliyis...Chains of command.

"You cut your own path in life, don't you?" Cecil said. It was a rather broad statement, though the soldiers knew who he was talking to. "In my career, I found that most people are either a follower, a leader, or neither. I myself will admit I am a follower- I follow a path that Zeliyis has cut, and then my superiors like Scorpio had refined. But you seem to not be much of one for orders. Nor could I see someone like you giving them out en mass in an a grand empire." It was an admirable thing to achieve...On a base, personal level. It meant a lack of interest in others, an inability to connect. Perhaps Cecil was throwing stones around in his glass house, but if you simply chopped down a path with no interest for those in your way, what type of person did that make you?

...Perhaps his lord Zeliyis...

With a loud crack, the ice crumbled, shattered apart and off the Bane of Hell as he stumbled forward, ice sliding off his armor, slapping the UAC Sidearm to his thigh as another weapon was produced in a flash of fire and ash.

Flynn whirled about toward Malcom and his compadres, opening fire with the Rocket Launcher, sending three of the missiles forward, all aimed a little too high, purposefully.
If just one of their opponents had managed to incapacitate him, then Hunter and Hiro had no business in keeping the fight moving on any longer. He'd made allies in the pair, perhaps even friends, and he'd seen enough of those perish. It was time to make a tactful retreat, live to fight another day. The Slayer mentally cursed in his head at himself. Falling back was exactly what the Master Chief had advised, and only now was he following it.

The rockets sailed over the keyblade users' heads, before slamming into the far wall. The first rocket made a dent, the second tearing through the metal, and the third punching a hole right back into space.
Yet again, the loss of oxygen was a risk, but this time it was a distraction to get Hunter and Hiro into the next room, as the enemies would be distracted by the vacuum of space. Only issue was getting the two before they were sucked by said vacuum.

"Hunter, Hiro!" Flynn called gruffly, his launcher disappearing into ash as his shotgun reappeared, and he fired a grappling line for the two to latch onto as his boots magnetically attached to the ground, holding him in place.

Bro
Camelot Castle Town

"Please don't make the joke that I'm sure your going to make." Kiran begged the Strider brother, who smirked. "No idea what you could possibly be referring to." He replied humorously. Kiran seemed to decide it was best not to indulge the matter any longer, and led the way back into Camelot, the two moved in silence- that is, until they stumbled upon an ongoing conflict, one that piqued Bro's interests the moment he noticed Artemis herself engaging in battle.

Kiran clearly wasn't interested in sticking around, reasoning to Bro concerning their immediate departure, but his words fell on deaf ears as Bro disappeared in a flash.
He'd gotten off on the wrong foot with Artemis, so perhaps taking down her opponent would earn him some brownie points, or a score of some kind, at least.

Venom-Drax whipped its arm at Joseph, who evaded with a quick leap backwards, thinking on his feet as Artemis knocked yet another arrow, letting it fly, but the symbiote was quickly learning as it twirled to the left, dodging the light-based attack before launching forward with inhuman speed, about to barrel into Artemis before stopping mid-air, a hand holding it by the scruff of the neck. "Mind if I intervene?" Bro asked, flashing a smile at Artemis, before casually swinging with his blade, letting go of the symbiote simultaneously, launching Venom-Drax back into the dining hall, before appearing in front of its trajectory, and running straight through the creature, completely tearing Drax away from Venom, tossing him back outside with a loud yell, slamming into a wall, causing rubble to fall over him.
Bro turned his gaze to Blaze as the symbiote started to reassemble its shattered self. "Easy enough. Blaze, right? With a name like that, I'd bet you can use fire. Scorch this bastard and we'll call it a day." He gestured lazily toward the symbiote, flashing another smile at Artemis, who stared blankly back at him, mouth slightly agape. Despite not having been told Percival's real name, Bro seemed to know it, but he was already walking away, headed back to Kiran, giving him a thumbs up. "Ready to go?" He asked.

"Joseph." Artemis muttered to the man beside her. "Congratulations. You're no longer my least favorite being. Only second to that buffoon."

"HAHA! AGAIN!" Drax the Destroyer shoved a large chunk of rubble off of himself, laughing as he did so, clearly finding the situation far more enjoyable than most, but his smile vanished as he noticed the battle seemed to have drawn to a close, a small pile of flaming embers on the floor in the dining hall, and the Goddess standing beside the Joestar, taking a brief moment each to recover from the conflict. "You there." Drax called to Negan, who was still lying unconscious on the ground. "Summon it again!"
His efforts were in vain.

However, unbeknownst to everyone else, a small black ooze seemed to have found itself on the shoulder of a katana-wielding asshole, who was oblivious to the venom remnant that ducked into his pant pocket in a swift movement before anybody even realized it was there.

Spider-Gwen
Goldenwalk Streets

"Whoa, whoa, hey, calm down there."
Gwen was quick to hop in front of the Scythe after she helped her up. "It's okay, I got distracted and fell, it's something I do a lot of."
Celice still didn't seem completely convinced, looking aggressively past Gwen toward Bodega, who's eyes were round and fearful on the Scythe.

"Seriously, bestie, we're all good." Spider-Woman continued trying to assure her new friend. "He's just a familiar face is all. Didn't expect to see him here."
She didn't say it or show it, but the Ghost Spider was personally touched by Celice. Not even a full two hours ago she'd been trying to cut the super hero to ribbons, and was now her, well, bestie, to put it simply. Gwen figured the Scythe was a keeper, but was still extremely curious as to her past, identity, and more to her personality. Despite their quick bond together, both still knew little to nothing about each other.

In all the excitement, Gwen seemed to have forgotten where she'd been going before encountering the Bodega Bandit.

Chara
Goldenwalk Downtown

They seemed to be making decent progress, collecting these Crystal's and whatnot, not that Chara held much interest in these ordeals. She didn't seem to care for much in the first place, not even seeming concerned for Flowey's sudden social ineptitude. She knew his mind still lingered on the child she'd nearly killed. Despite everything, he still held that sliver of his weaker self, the Asriel inside of him. She much preferred the flower.

At that thought, she felt something... strange. Her gut felt like it was twisting and a single tear welled in her left eye, greatly surprising the girl, who quickly wiped it away in confusion. These feelings were so foreign... yet they felt familiar. She'd though so poorly of Asriel and her psyche reacted in an unexpected way.
However, Cecil began to speak to her, so she was quick to stow her dilemma aside for now. She was quickly growing to enjoy Cecil's company. He was unique. Different. Much more than that on first glance. She'd poorly misjudged him previously.

"I don't believe I fit any of those categories." She stated simply. "I don't lead, I don't follow, but I certainly have an agenda." Her crimson gaze flitted toward the Commander, before shifting to gaze at a collapsed apartment building they were passing. "I am a creator, and a destroyer. I have the power to give life, and take it. To start time, and end it. I can end the universe, or rebuild it. The possibilities are endless."

“Cool.”

He wasn’t following the put it on your tab thing, but all he knew was that Sans was givIng him a hotdog wrapped in a taco shell. He wasn’t about to complain, as the universe deemed that it would be best that he got this. Besides, maybe wherever sans came from, this is what a burrito was.

He took a big bite out of the ‘burrito’, savoring the flavor that followed. He then saw Noah, standing there in the corner of his eye. He looked to him, cocking his head. Then, a smile crept up on his face as he walked up to him.

“Yo. Wanna try some of this?” The chill duelist asked as he handed him the hot dog burrito.

“Hm. Holding your cards close to your hand are you? Interesting.” Specter’s British voice sounded. “You do so seem to cherish this infinity rift of yours. You can understand why a variable that is so large in quality in your perspective could be an inherent risk being left on my flank. I’d request to have some grounding of understanding just what it is. After all, it could be a ticking time bomb in my doorstep if not careful. I want to know what I’m dealing with here.”

Specter was not one to blindlngly accept help from mysterious sources. He wanted to make sure he wasn’t some pawn in another king’s Game. He had his own kingdom to conquer, and certainly had no place on another chess board.

Name: Hiro, Kyuseishu (Avatar), Trinity Squadron (Malcolm, Renee & Andrew)
Location: Specter's Ship/Space Station Saru-04

Malcolm was annoyed but perhaps not shocked that the Doomslayer managed to free himself from the ice, this guy proved to be every bit as stubborn as he had been a danger. A reputation he continued to paint for himself as he fired a trio of rockets at Malcolm. This was of little concern as he prepared to activate a barrier spell for defense though he quickly realized that the missiles flew high over his head and towards the wall of the room his two allies had been in. Malcolm took this development well.

Son of an prince's whore!!!

During this, Andrew pressured Hiro with slash after slash; forcing him back with a non-stop assault as Hiro could only barley perry each shot as Andrew had practically a manic grin enjoying himself over this.

"It's a shame I am stuck with this magicless shell, not as fun dealing with a weakened foe." Andrew taunted as Hiro dodged one slash and jumped behind him as he try to stab him from behind only for Andrew to block.

"Yeah, wonder what that will say for you if you lose to a magic swordsman without magic." Hiro replied back with a defiant taunt as the two trades blades in a frantic exchange.

Renee had expected the guy to attack, even if she kinda wished he'd have just given up but these situations tended to bring out futile resistance more than anything else. Renee responded to the cleaver swing with a simply jump back as she'd prepared her Keyblade to strike back with a spell, but those plans had to change as her eyes widened slightly as his real ploy had been revealed...an urn that seemed to fly at her filled with, well she had no idea what but she was not about to find out.

"Clever geezer..." Renee mumbled and within that same motion produced a "wind" spell that she used to blow the urn away as she had been forced to take a defensive move with her attack. Once the urn would hopelly be blown back she prepared a counter attack only for both her attack and Andrew's to come to a halt...

Boom!

A hole had been blown in the ship which paused both Andrew & Renee's advances as the rapid pressure caused by the sudden opening to space began to suck anything nearby to the open vacuum. This included the items in the room the Trinity Squadron as well as Hiro & Flynn had been in. Instantly the trio reacted, as they each cast a Gravity Spell though rather than make a sphere to pull objects they merely produced one by their feet to keep them planted on the ground to combat the force of the gravity that tried to pull them out. Hiro lacked that benefit, and instead had to simply stab his Keyblade through the metal floor and hand onto that for dear life. None of them were in position for an offensive as the grappling line was fired to the room as Flynn called out for Hiro and Hunter. Hiro naturally grasped the line and aimed to reach for a grappling hook to grab onto Hunter with so they both could be pulled, but as this development happened Malcolm saw this line by him as their golden chance.

"Impressive display, but not quite enough. I thank you for your service..." Malcolm replied, before he suddenly deactivated his gravity sphere and shot up; within the same motion, he aimed his Keyblade at the line Flynn had shot and cast one spell.

"THUNDER!"

Malcolm fired the electric stream as it traveled along the line shocking it and anything that was along it...which unfortunately included Hiro.

"GAHHHHH!" Hiro cried out in agony, as the electric jolt surged through his body and the pain on top of all he had been through today was too much to bear as he fell unconscious and let go of the rope. Malcolm gave the order to grab him and go as Andrew jumped up to catch Hiro and in succession all three vanished in individual portals out of the area before Malcolm could be sucked away.

"You seem to misunderstand, the power of the Infinity Rift and what it can do is on display now. You merely have to pay attention...." Kyuseishu's avatar replied as the cosmic ripple and those magical tendrils continued to siphon energy and the essence of the world into the rift as the immediate landscape began to lose its luster in the city which spread across the land. Soon enough enough of the world would be coded to add to his masterpiece, though before clarification can be added on.

"Our savior, we have arrived with the boy."

Kyuseishu's magical avatar turned as the Trinity Squadron stood behind him; all were in a keeled position as the unconscious Hiro lay at the feet of Kyuseishu & Specter.

Kale's body twitched in response as a groan escaped her lips. But nothing more.

"Excellent work. Make sure he is secure and ready for transport back to the planet." Kyuseishu ordered as his three followers nodded as Renee picked Hiro up to go set on a table while they prepared magical restraints. Things were going along perfectly as Kyuseishu scanned the world from the window.

Name: Caulifla, Azula, Bowser
Location: Camelot

Caulifla licked her lips, ignoring the comment about the skelton man "loving her" as she grabbed the hotdogs and managed to balance them well enough; preparing to spray her ketchup on them before she heard the comment of payment.

"Yeah yeah yeah, hold your funny bone." Caulifla said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out what seemed to be some green bills with a "Z" marked across them. Payment from a recent job, around 3,000 Zeni in total. Caulifla paused momentarily.

"Uh, you take Zeni?" Caulifla asked the skeleton as inter-dimension payment would bound to be an issue.

-----
"You dare challenge the Koopa King? You must be as bold as you are foolish. If you have a death wish I will consider it." Bowser replied, as at first he was insulted that this man would so casually offer a challenge to him as he compared him to whoever this "Armstrong" character had been. But to some degree, as one filled with as much pride as Bowser had been, he could almost respect this human for willing to challenge him to such direct fashion. Even if he was one better born to serve him he could admire such resolve.

"As much fun as this little duel of yours is, I think we should first ensure we get our foot in this door before we making a showy stand." Azula advised to the pair though this little challenge between them merely served to give her greater insight onto their personalities; not that this probing was reflected in her tone or expression as she seemed only interested in advancing them.

Name: Toph, Lucario
Location: Goldenwalk

"Only if you are done being a one man rogue. Look I can't speak over your condition or what you've been through, but wouldn't it be better to make use of your time doing something good rather than sulk away on some foreign land who knows where? Like it or not we are in this together and I say making one step forward with us is better use than taking an infinite number of the steps to the side going nowhere." Toph said, as she was far from intimidated by Logan and since she was not much of a "motivator" in the traditional sense mixed her boldness with some degree of practicality as she tried to encourage Logan to work with them not out on his own hindering them. Something Toph herself had been the cause of when she first joined the team and it had not gone well.

-----
"Go now? But this is usually when the fun part starts." Thor replied, as he used Stormbreaker to block the initial shots directed at the group. The arrive of this soda guy had been enough for Rocket to curse the day he agreed with his crew's decision to bring this guy on their ship as he returned fire with one of his trademark guns.

Life would be so much simpler if we just knocked him off our windshield...

Still, the call to fall back had been answered as Lucario didn't bother firing back and relied on his aura sense to guide him as he weaved through the bullets while Thor and Rocket advanced back with them.

Name: Ogremon
Location: Saudi Arabia

"HA! Is that all you sacks of meat have? I have greater fights hunting for breakfast!"

Ogremon, in contrast to the focus for survival or the panic in the air from certain minority soldiers, seemed to be an outlier in that he enjoyed this spectacle. Grinning from ear to ear as he clubbed a set of the Flood who were shot from the air and ripped to pieces as it seemed he desired to do this all day.

Whether he could or not however would never be determined, as Carolina made the call to retreat and in spite of his code as a warrior with that passenger on his shoulders he figured she'd handicap himself so he'd have to settle for another chance later when he could fight without restriction. Least that's what he convinced himself, before he moved down the ally as directed.

Name: Katsu, Fumi and Lilac
Location: Arendelle (Elsa's Castle)

"Yeah, I...I think I need more context. And going inside someplace warm seems better." Fumi said, puzzled but working to process what was said to her already as she'd go to a descending Elsa and request permission to have this meeting within her halls. The ice queen agreed and would lead them towards the main hall.

"Seems they are already going, so let's not keep them waiting." Lilac said with a smile to to the others on the main battlefield as she would dash quickly over to catch up. There was quite a lot to talk about in a short amount of time, so no sense in her dragging the party down.

Rick, Morty
Cthulhu's Lair

"No, m-Morty."
Rick Sanchez's retort was interrupted by one of his usual burps as he slammed a glowing red crystalline-like object into a small gun in his other hand, sitting in the drivers seat of his spaceship. Morty was halfway in the passengers seat and the drivers seat, steering the steering wheel as best as he could all while a gigantic monster soared after them, the roaring it made nearly deafening him. "H.P. Lovecraft was an idiot. He-he had no idea what Cthulhu was- is." Rick continued, twisting the barrel of his self-made weapon, which began to hum with energy. "Rick, I really don't care! Get us o-out of here!" Morty begged frantically. "Yeah, yeah, sure Morty wuh-whatever you say." The older man muttered in reply, casually rolling down his window, glancing back at the massive form of Cthulhu soaring towards them.

A fleshy, maroon tendril shot from Cthulhu as it continued to bellow deafeningly, and Rick brought his knee up to hit the steering wheel, twisting it enough to veer off-course and down a smaller tunnel- though not small enough as Cthulhu continued to pursue them, though the tendril had been avoided as Morty attempted to regain control of the spacecraft, knocking into the side of a cave wall in the process. "Carerul, Morty!" Rick yelled. "Our-our entire fucking lives depend on your driving abilities, so chances of survival are already fucking slim w-without you-" He belched loudly. "You being worse t-than usual."
"Okay, I get it!" Morty frantically tried to defuse Rick as they continued on, still pursued by the mythological God.

"Know- you know what's f-funny, Morty? Know what's funny about Cthulhu?"
"I don't care, Rick!" Morty yelled, personally more focused on keeping them alive.
"Jeez, okay, I'll tell you later." Rick replied grumpily, lazily pointing the weapon back toward the mythical being pursuing them, holding the gun out of the window. "Hey Morty, why-why don't we go to Atlantis after this, huh Morty? I know that yuh-you and Ariel-"
"Abigale."
"Sure, whatever you say, I know that you two got a thing goin', so maybe we can huh-" He was interrupted by a particularly loud burp as he fired his weapon.

A bolt of red energy arced through the air, jetting directly into the Lovecraftian God's face, dead center. The beast instantaneously turned completely scarlet, and just as quickly, shattered, its form erupting, sending red crystalline shards scattering all about as Rick pulled his arm back inside the ship, tucking the weapon away. "-head there, we both could use a b-break, huh Morty? Huh, little buh-buddy?"
Morty's pale face betrayed little emotion aside from anger as he let go of the steering wheel, slumping back into his seat, beads of sweat dripping down his forehead. "Morty?" Rick asked, taking hold of the ship's steering wheel.

"No, Rick. I-I don't feel like it." Morty replied in frustration. "You used me. You told me no more deadly... this! We were just supposed to be visiting Birdperson's parents!"
"Oh, no, that was a lie. E-even I never met them." Rick shrugged callously, making his grandson quiver with rage. "I know!" He shouted at his grandfather. "I know! I mean, n-now I do! I should have known, I can't believe I was so-"
"Stupid? Gullible? You're a muh-Morty, get over it." Rick blinked, pulling a flask out from his lab coat. "You'll always be that, Morty. Anyway, I got what I came for." As he said this, he raised a small leather pouch, shaking it lightly, the sound of stones clanking against each other sounding.

Morty glared for a few moments at Rick, before angrily turning away and looking out of the window.
They rode in silence for a few moments, his grandfather glancing at him a few times, before finally speaking. "C-come on, Morty. It's not that bad-"
"I had to crawl inside of Cthulhu's butt, Rick. I don't want to talk about it."
Rick opened his mouth to retort, before hesitating. "Okay, I'll make it up to you." Rick offered. "Morty adventure. Ruh-remember those? We haven't done one in fuh-forever." He burped, taking a swig from his flask.
Morty pursed his lips, before slowly turning back around to look at his grandfather. "R-really?" He asked, earning a nod from the older man. "Yeah, sure Morty. I'll even suh-sweeten the deal. I'll use that convergence crystal I snagged off of Scratch."
"Who?"
"Doesn't matter. What's important is that we can vuh-visit all sorts of different places. Anything y-your puny little Morty mind can imagine, Morty! Things that your luh-little m-Morty eyes could never believe!"
Morty mulled it over in his little Morty mind for a moment. He knew Rick was just trying to get him to drop this latest development of a Morty being used like a tool, per usual, but he had been thinking a lot about that time he'd met Ridley, who'd been fighting Pokemon. More so lately than ever, for whatever reason.
Maybe that's what he could do for his adventure. Figure out what was actually going on there.
"Okay." He relented. "Let's d-do a Morty adventure."
"Th-that's the spirit, Morty. Buddy." Rick patted his grandson on the back, turning the ship down another tunnel, this one barely fitting the ship inside of it.
"C-can't we teleport out?" Morty asked, and his grandfather shook his head in response. "Nope. Lovecraftian stone is a-all around us, Morty. This stuff, i-it's actually super bad to open any type of rift around it, not even l-like, teleporting through space, or time, let alone duh-dimensional travel."
"What would happen?" The grandson inquired. "A whole lotta stuff y-you don't wanna know about." Rick replied, leaving it at that as a light could be seen at the end of the tunnel- their exit.

"Aaah shit." Rick groaned as the light was blocked by a massive figure. "What!?" Morty asked, his terror painfully evident. "I didn't realize he'd r-r-regenerate so fucking fast!" Rick replied, quickly inputting a complicated code into the computer on the dash of his spacecraft, readying the installed portal technology.
"Wait, Rick!" Morty argued. "We c-can't use it in the tunnel!"
"Either this or get mind-fucked by that guy!" Rick retorted. "I-i-is that what you want, Morty? Huh, Morty? To get under that guy's control? Morty? Y-your dumb little Morty brain w-would get enslaved in... like... n-no time at all. I wouldn't though." Rick belched. "I have too powerful of a psyche. M-my mind is too powerful, Morty. Because I'm a Rick. I'm a genius, with incomprehensible intellect. I am the Rick. I'm the Rickest motherfucking Rick in the motherfucking multive-"
"Okay, I get it! Get us out of here!" Morty cried frantically as a green jet of light shot from the ship, stopping just before the mouth of the cave, splitting open into a slowly swirling green vortex.

Almost immediately, the cave walls began to glow a deep hue of indigo, glowing brighter and brighter.
"Oooooh..." Morty groaned, his eyes rolling up into the back of his head, drool dripping from his mouth as all consciousness was lost to him.

Arendelle, Elsa's Castle
"Magic." Maple chuckled. "If you have about five years, I could teach you the basics." Seeing an open door up ahead, she threw it open.

"What are you looking at me for?" Alpha asked. "W-well, Maple was able to find the two of you by following some form of multiversal strand, I think? So if this Hiro has the same type of strand, Maple can... probably bring us to him?"
"That's correct." Maple walked over, entering from the other end of the hall. "A pleasure to finally meet you, Fumi." Maple held out her hand. "Maple, Guardian of the Multiverse."
Hat Kid turned to Alpha, confused. She took her hat off and positioned it like a shield to ask her question.
"Kris?" Alpha pondered. "I... don't know where he is, actually. Where'd he get off to?"

---

Deeper within the castle, Kris walked forwards. Focused. He knew exactly where he was going.
"Should have expected you to know I was here."
Kris drew his sword, now having eyes on the intruder.
* You ask PLAGUE what she's doing.
The self-proclaimed scientist seemed to be playing with a piece of ice. "It's somewhat shocking, you know? Something so simple, but just from being from another hyperverse, it gives off such a different signal... And this is just a piece of ice. Full people, on the other hand...!"
* You guess this is one of Plague's experiments with SOULs.
"OHOHO! Nothing so small-scale." Plague chuckled. "I'm working for Z for the moment, but just in case that falls through, I've got another experiment in the background. I just need one major piece to make it work..."
* You ask how a piece of ice contributes to multiverse-affecting events.
"Okay, that's fair." Plague dropped the piece of ice. "See, if there's anything good about this Zeliyis situation... it does put a few pieces into place for me. Take you, for example."
* You ready your sword.
"None of that, now."
Suddenly, clear green tendrils shot out of Plague's arm. Kris gritted his teeth as his SOUL itself was suddenly wrapped, drawn out on its own. Just like before.

"You haven't forgotten our agreement, now have you?"
* ...
* You sheathe your sword.

The Wilds, The Cavern
"...you don't know the half of it." Jaime sighed sadly. The boy curled up on a rock. "So, what, are you here to give me therapy or something? Because I-"
No, better idea. A BEAN BAG. Rex ain't gonna pass that up after sleeping on dirt and stone!
Don't encourage the shippers.

"...I could really use some."

"Why you feel the need to have a measuring contest with every man in the room wherever you go." Keda stated bluntly. He wasn't afraid to throw hands at Rex's attitude.

Goldenwalk Streets
The Pepsi-Sense was tingling.
In a flash, Pepsi Man was on the scene, the iconic theme ringing behind him. As he slid to a halt, he saw what seemed to be a very angry teenager in need of a drink. "I sensed a disturbance in the Thirst." Pepsi Man said. He suddenly pulled out a can of Pepsi. "Here, free of charge!"

---

"Whoa, whoa! Chill, m'lady! Gwennie and I go way back!" Bodega Bandit said, raising his hands in surrender.
And dropping his sandwich in the process.
"Oh, c'mon. I just got that."

---

"Freeman, Gordon." Nathan looked down at the card. "Black Mesa... for some reason, I feel like I've seen that symbol before-"
"Yo, we going or we going?" X asked. "Gwen and Scythe are long-gone by now."
"...yeah, let's go." Nathan gave the card back to Freeman. "Mute, I'm guessing? I'm glad you made the choice to show me what you could. Your skills were certainly useful back there."
"Perhaps you'd like to come with us?"
Nathan held out his hand to Gordon. It felt like back in the Plains of Passage, when he and Shovel Knight had first struck an alliance to end the chaos caused by two entire armies crossing worlds mid-battle.

"RA-HAAAAAAAAGH! BRING IT ON!"
Wario let out a yell of anger as the beam blasted him right in the chest. His clothing was certainly seared, but he himself seemed to be physically fine despite the pain of the laser. Mona and Waluigi, however, were far less durable. The pair quickly scrambled over towards the truck and weapons stash, trying to take cover. Which Wario wasn't interested in. In fact, he charged towards the soldiers, letting out a war cry as he did. "Come on, beardie! LET'S HAVE SOME FUN! WARIO TIME!" Wario smashed his fists into the ground, creating a crack in the ground ahead of him.

Medina, Saudi Arabia
Helpless.
Haze was helpless again. Just like at Torna. An onslaught of unstoppable enemies and she couldn't do anything to stop them.
And Lora wasn't even here to help...
Nor was Mythra
or Jin
or Addam
or Minoth
or Hugo
Haze's hands loosely made an attempt at tightening as she held on to Ogremon. Not like she could do anything else right now...
Which is when she realized she was in the middle of the conflict.
"P... please... we have... to... go..." Haze managed to wheeze out, reminding Ogremon that she was still there.

ONI Delta Station - Reach Underground
"I... don't know..." the child admitted. "Haze... Lora... where's...?"

Camelot Castle, Throne Room [Afternoon]
Merlina turned to Raiden, surprised at his presence. "Well, yes. Almost. Lancelot and myself resisted it, but Gawain..."
"Went out like a rock." Gawain said, tapping at his helmet. "The heck happened?"

Camelot Castle, Dining Hall [Afternoon]
"...well, that happened."
As Joseph stopped his Hamon charge, the clacker balls that had stuck to the wall behind Venom-Drax suddenly dropped to the floor, allowing Joseph to easily grab them. "I had that handled, y'know!" he shouted to the guy in the sunglasses in a comedic fashion. When it registered that Artemis had given him some form of compliment, he turned to her to rub it in. "Oh, my! You really don't hate me that much? I need to step up my game, then! What should I do, public exposure? Bet the goddess of chastity would hate that." He let out a laughter, obviously taking all this as a joke.
Meanwhile, a mutter came from Serena, who was just now waking up in the dining hall proper. "Ugh... my head... what...?"
Sir Percival marched past Bro to the large blob of black still left behind. With an effortless flick of Laevatein, the ground beneath it burst alight.

Atlantic Oceanside [Evening]
"Don't know, don't know, and HELL NO." Sonic replied. "Think he's got some sort of telepathy, though - he somehow knew my uncle's name in our first meeting. And he isn't even in this world..."
"That only reinforces the need for us to accompany you." Lucina said, falling into the same fancy-word talk her father used from time to time. "If he's a threat you can't defeat alone, you need all the help you can-"
"He'd wipe the floor with everyone here but Samus and I." Sonic replied.
"...you're certain?"
"He's that strong."

Atlantic Ocean [Evening]
My associate wishes to liberate you from the black iron prison your "Master" has left you to rot in. Or at the very least, turn that prison into a weapon. The voice inside the robot spoke back to Vader. He sees potential in what you can do. Your enemies are his enemies, after all.

Far East, Fenrir Base
Alisa was surprised. Just out of the bathroom, and he wants to train...? She sighed. "If you really want to, I won't decline. You should get some experience with God Arcs - REAL experience, not those simulations. They don't handle like any weapon you'd be used to."

Far East, City of Mercy
Conagher couldn't help but let out a sigh. He shook off Soldier, going back to Decker. "Look, ah apologize for my associate. He's weird. Lead poisoning. Been meanin' t' do something about that. He insists on drinking his water straight from the pipe." Realizing he was about to go on a tangent about his plan to create a simultaneous water purifier and ammo creator, he decided to change the topic. "See, in our world, RED and BLU are two companies you're never going to avoid. Yes, I said our world. You ever hear about multiverse theory?" Dell took out his wrench, using the end to draw a circle in the ground. "This would be your universe." He drew another circle. "That over there is our universe. Just for the sake of labelin' them, we'll call them the K&O universe and the TF universe." He added the letters before drawing a third circle. "This over here is our current universe. We'll call this X universe for now." He put an X in it. "So, I assume you touched a crystal thing and it sent you here? Same with us. Well, ours was actually in a machine that those idiots-" He loosely gestured towards Scout and Soldier. "-messed with while we were tryin' to figure out what in the hootenany it did. As far as I can tell, those crystals..." He created one line in between X and K&O, and another in between X and TF. "...created the equivalent of miniature wormholes for a moment before collapsing in on itself, being enough to breach the time/space barrier separating all universes and bringing us all here. Those wormholes are too weak to maintain a continued link and form, so they collapse in on themselves, unlike my own teleporters built to maintain a stable link. Now there's a lot of holes in this theory and it's quite basic, but ah don't currently have any instruments or samples to double-check any of this, just what I know happened. Does that make enough sense, sir?"

Sequin Land, Mermaid Falls
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
The gem shattered as Vriska stabbed her blade right through it, causing the Giga Mermaid to scream out in pain. A moment later, Rottytops let out her own scream as she was blasted into the distance, a psionic blast flying right across the area. Trees were ripped up, soldiers were sent flying and the water was thrown about.
Oh, and the blizzard was dispersed.
Giga Mermaid suddenly fell unconscious. No blood came from her wound, but the boss fell backwards, crashing against the water. At the sight of their defeated queen, the mermaids suddenly all hopped into the water, vanishing before they could be blasted away.
"yayyyyyyyyyy~ go team~" A decapitated forearm and hand gave Vriska a thumbs-up as Rottytops' head rolled across the tree line.

Sans
Camelot Castle - Training Grounds

"sure." Sans replied simply with a casual shrug. "you seem to have about three thousand zeni on you, and each hotdog costs five gold in my own currency. i'd say one gold piece is worth about three zeni, so you'd owe me sixty zeni."

He leaned lazily against the counter, grinning dolefully at her. "ketchup is free of charge."

SG-1
Camelot Castle - Courtyard

"Soooo close."
Jack grinned, staring at the woman in front of him. She had dirty blonde hair, cut above her shoulders, piercing blue eyes, delicate features...
His wife.
"Just a few more years, and no more weeks away. Retirement will be here before we know it."

She grinned back at him. They were standing outside of the two-story house Jack owned. They'd lived there together for the past decade with their son, Charlie.
"Oh good. Then I'm stuck with you." She giggled, walking toward him as he moved toward her, departing his black sedan behind him in the driveway.
"Attached at the hip." Jack replied as they reach one another, and she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, leaning in for a kiss.

After several seconds, their lips parted, but their eyes locked. "Almost time for Charlie's baseball game." She told him, and Jack's face lit up with excitement. "I know! Think I taught him enough or should we have a family practice before the big game?"
Sara rolled her eyes, still grinning. "I wouldn't be any help, you know that. I'll order some pizza after-"

A crack rang through the air. It was dull, muffled, but recognizable. Especially to Jack, who's blood ran ice cold. He could see the surprise and fear immediately on Sara's face as well, the two quickly turning toward the house.

"Charlie?"

Into the house.

"Charlie!?"

Up the stairs.

"CHARLIE!"

Into Jack's room.

"Jack."

A whisper in his ear went ignored.

Blood on the floor.

A handgun lying nearby.

"Jack."

A small body, limp on the hardwood floor.

"Jack!"

Colonel O'Neill sat up, cold sweat drenching his military gear as his hazy vision tried to clear and focus.
A figure was kneeling in front of him, hand on his shoulder.
"Sara?" He asked.
"It's Carter, sir." Samantha's voice replied.

Reality snapped back into place. Camelot. A malfunction in the Stargate left them stranded.
Some type of convergence. Talking animals, walking skeletons, and massive monsters.
"Colonel, are you okay?" Sam asked, worry lacing her usually calm voice.
"Fine." Jack grunted, everything coming back into focus, but being pushed to the back of his mind.

Something else was occupying his thoughts. A memory.
A dreadful... painful... devastating memory...
He slowly got to his feet, rubbing his forehead, realizing his eyes were wet and rubbing that away as well. "What happened, Carter?" He asked.

Nearby them stood Daniel and Teal'c, who seemed to be conversing with one of the Camelot guards. "Everyone passed out. I'm... none of us are sure why. Daniel's trying to figure that out." She informed.
Jack looked at Sam, and for a second, he saw Sara.

"How could you let this happen, Jack!? Our own son!"

He was quick to look the other way. "Let's join 'em." He said, and began to make his way over toward Daniel and Teal'c, realizing his arm was shaking, and quickly grabbing it with his other hand to stop it before Samantha would notice- which she did.
"Sir, are you sure you're alright?" Her tone was more serious than before, but the Colonel still refused to break. "I'm fine, Carter." He sighed.

"Like I said, I do not know."
"Well, surely someone knows." Daniel replied to the guard, crossing his arms, brow furrowing.
"I suppose Lady Merlina might know..." The guard bit his cheek. "The King's advisor." Teal'c interjected.
"Yes, Lady Merlina." The guard confirmed as Daniel gave a nod. "Thanks." He turned to Teal'c. "We'll head back to the Throne room once Jack's-"
"Awake?" Jack interrupted, stomping over with Sam at his side. "Oh, good." Daniel blinked. "Then let's go chat with Lady Merlina. She might know what happened."

"What did happen?" Jack inquired as the four set off back into the castle from the courtyard. "From what I can tell, about everyone in all of Camelot went out like a light." Doctor Jackson answered. "Nobody knows why, but some guards are thinking an attack might be staged against Camelot by King Arthur."
"Evil King Arthur. Right?" Jack asked, earning a nod from Daniel. "Well, let's not waste any time."
"Agreed." Teal'c said, and with that, SG-1 continued their trek back to the throne room.

Jack's mind still thought of something else entirely.

Even after all this time...

He would never forgive himself.

Artemis, Negan
Camelot Castle - Dining Hall

"I take it all back, Joestar." Artemis replied, turning away from him and marching back through the hole in the wall upon hearing Serena stir. "You're still the worst of them all."
With that, she knealt down beside the still woozy Serena. "A lot happened while you were out." She nodded to the flaming pile of screeching symbiote that was quickly diminishing into nothingness on the stone floor nearby. "It's been handled, though. How are you feeling?"

Slowly, Negan began to stir, letting out a small groan as he lifted his head up, blinking drearily, spitting some dirt out of his mouth. "This place is gonna be the death of me." He murmured, turning himself over with a grunt, wincing. One of his ribs on his right side was hurting like a bitch, for whatever reason. "Hey, Venom buddy..." He muttered. "Can I get a fix? Really hurtin' here."
There was no response.
Frowning, the man slowly sat up, gritting his teeth painfully as he did so. Once in an upright position, he noticed the damage about, eyebrows raising. "Oh, damn." He looked over toward the nearest person; Joseph.
"The hell happened here?"

Darth Vader
Atlantic Ocean

The Sith Lord visually studied the mechanical creature before him, eyes narrowing. He hated machines. They reminded him so much of himself. The worst parts, though he doubted there were any good parts left to counter them.
Evidently, this being and its associate were aware of who the Dark Lord was, or at the very least his master, calling the life preserving suit a 'prison'.

Long had Vader believed the design was intentionally holding him back, courtesy of the Emperor. If this were true, and this associate was willing to unleash Darth Vader's true power... No more being held back...

"Take me to your 'associate'." Vader said, voice rough, breathing apparatus still fast from his duel with the hedgehog.

"Consider me... interested."

Logan
Goldenwalk - Financial District

Logan stared at Toph for a moment, before taking a few steps toward her. "Kid. I'm tryin' to help you and your buddies. Get the fuck off my case and maybe we'll get somewhere. I'm not sulking off anywhere. I'm tryn' to get this group to safety, so will you stop preventing me from doing some good, like you suggested I should be doin'?"

Without waiting for a response, he turned around, waving with his hand for the others to follow. "C'mon. Over this ridge." He sniffed, before grinding his jaw. "We're close to the others."

Gordon Freeman
Goldenwalk Streets

Not so much... "mute", but Doctor Freeman wasn't about to argue over it. He just didn't have much to say. Better to let them believe he was mute so they wouldn't expect verbal input. He was more of the listen-and-act type, anyway.

Nathan stuck out his hand, offering an official alliance with Gordon, who looked down at the hand, then back up at the soldier. Switching his crowbar to his left hand, Gordon brought his right up to shake Nathan's, solidifying their unofficial partnership.

Carolina
Medina - Saudi Arabia

The Flood were relentless, and only got more dangerous as they utilized the weapons dropped by the fallen Marines. "Move it! Now!" Carolina barked at the remaining individuals, firing rapidly with her plasma rifles at the pursuing space zombies.

With a roar, one combat form hefted a Rocket Launcher on its shoulder, and fired.
The rocket whizzed through the air over their heads, before hitting the side of the building down the alley, causing rubble to crumble down, beginning to block their path.
"They're trying to box us in!" Church breathed. "Either that's dumb luck or these are smarter zombies than we took them for."
"Fascinate later, Church." Carolina growled. "Give me some speed. I need to take out that flood."

With that, quick as a bullet, Carolina charged into the mass of incoming flood, her movements too quick for the naked eye to detect as many combat forms splattered against her armored charge, just as she reached the flood carrying the Rocket Launcher, it fired another rocket just as she splattered it.
"Too late!" She yelled at herself as it hit the other side of the alley. More rubble would crush the uninfected, as well as effectively blocking out the remaining allies in the alley.

Before the flood could take advantage of her, she used the last of her speed boost to fly back into the alley, killing what flood she could.
She didn't have the power to stop falling rubble, and at least half of her men were still on the wrong side of the alleyway.

Halsey, Mendez
ONI Delta Station - Reach Underground

The doctor stared at the boy for a moment, before glancing about, eyes darting quickly as she scanned for any other present beings.
She still didn't lower Mendez's magnum, returning her attention to the child, before Mendez interjected.

"We have a job, ma'am. Can deal with the kid later. Bigger problems and all that." He stated, slowly grabbing the magnum and taking it from Halsey, who allowed him to do so, still staring coldly at the young boy. Silently, she agreed with the Chief. "Come with us." She told the kid, turning swiftly on her heel and continuing the march to the surface, headed for an elevator at the end of the hall.
She brushed by Mendez, who looked over toward Mikhail, gesturing with the nod of his head to follow Halsey. "C'mon. Things are a bit hectic right now, we need to move."

Vriska Serket
Sequin Land - Mermaid Falls

She stared down at the unconscious form of the Mermaid Queen, frowning. "Thought for sure that'd kill it." She told herself, before hearing Rottytops' cheer, looking toward the treeline, seeing the distant head rolling by.

She then noticed the other body parts scattered about. "Wow." She said, scooping up an arm and a leg. "And she's still alive? That's hella cool." She scooped up a few more stray bits, before rocket-booting to the head. "Rotty!" She yelled. "You can just be rebuilt, right? I think I got all your pieces here."

Rick Grimes
Far East - Fenrir Base

"I wouldn't think so." Rick replied with a shrug. "No weapon I'm used to is longer than I am tall."
Inwardly, he was thankful she hadn't shot down his proposal. Even in just a few hours here, he was going crazy having nothing to do. He wanted to think about the family he'd just left behind, waking in this strange new world, but at the same time, he wanted to keep his mind off it and stay busy. It was too emotionally painful to deal with at the moment.

Rick, Morty
Rick's Garage

"Ow... my head..."
Morty slapped his palm against his forehead, which felt like it was about to split open. "Relax." Came Rick's voice, but Morty was in so much pain he couldn't see. "It'll pass in a few minutes."

"Why d-does it... hurt... so much..." He groaned. "Remember that pill I had you take this m-morning?" Rick asked. Without waiting for an answer, he burped and continued. "I assumed we'd encounter cuh-complications during the m-mission. It's a c-counter drug for activated Lovecraftian Stone."
Morty felt sick to his stomach as he continued to hold his forehead in agony.

"W-without it, you would've-" He interrupted himself with a burp. "Would've had your brain popped, Morty. Harvested into Cthulhu's c-collection... Morty."
As Rick said, the head-splitting headache began to fade quickly, and after a few moments, it felt as though it hadn't even happened.
"Oh, wow." Morty gasped in amazement and relief that Rick's counter-drug had worked.
"C-careful there, Morty, I d-don't want you squirting any appreciation cum on my workbench. Only I can d-do that."

"Gross." Morty replied, but as more of a reaction. He'd grown used to his grandfather's ramblings at this point.
"A-anyway, here it is." Rick held up his portal gun, which was glowing blue. "I've ugh-upgraded my p-portal gun, Morty. It's now the convergence gun."
Morty blinked. "Oh geez, t-that was really... you know, fast, Rick." He said. "That's why you n-never question my genius, Morty. Not even Stark c-could wrap his head around it."
"Who?"
"You'll meet him soon... p-probably." Rick replied with an additional burp. "All I needed w-was those dulled Lovecraftian Pebbles you collected from Cuthulhu's rectal cavity. I-if the Lovecraftian Stone is dulled, y-you can seamlessly navigate the... the infinite chasm. The Omniverse, Morty. I-I only got to take you to Marseilles last time b-because I already had the-"
Another burp.
"The coordinates. Now, we c-can track down your crush, Raisin."
"Ridley."
"Whatever you say, m-Morty."
"Ridley sounds n-nothing like 'r-r-raisin'."
"I said w-whatever, Morty. I-it doesn't matter."

Rick aimed the convergence gun at the far wall, firing a blue blast that opened up into a blue vortex. It all seemed to work the same as the portal gun, just that the colors were different. It appeared like a wall of swirling water.
"L-let's get this adventure out of th-the way." Rick muttered to himself as he gestured for Morty to enter the portal, who happily obliged, leaping into it as Rick followed, boredom clear on his face.

Gaster
The
VOID
He was experiencing...
Too much.
Emotions that came flooding back...
Suppressed memories long forgotten...
Was his plan really what he wanted? Was it the right thing to do?
What of the repercussions?
What of the risks?
The Doctor pondered it all, crouched low within the emptiness, blackness surrounding him. Consuming him.
He tried to grasp it all...
Understand it all...
The memories made it so difficult.
All filling his thoughts in quick succession, vying for his full attention.
All he could make out was jarbled voices, glitched images...

"Entry numb-" He was standing at a computer.
"Ah, Dr. San-" A younger, happier sans was approaching him in a lab coat.
"My work is every-" Asgore sitting with him at a table in the castle.
"-r thirty seven. Progr-" He was glancing over at a large skull-like machine hanging in the True Lab.
"Everything hinges on-" Sans and Alphys stood before him, worry on their faces.
"-s, your work on the t-" He was patting his son on the back.
"-thing! The only way for-" Asgore gulped, appearing concerned for the doctor before him.
"-this. One last test." A bead of sweat rolled down Sans' skull.

One last test.

Gaster shook his head, eyes shut tight. "What have I become...?" He whispered to himself, opening his eyes, only to see himself staring back. A reflection within the void.

"What was necessary." The reflection answered. "The hopeful doctor looking to better the world was weak. Small. Forgettable. But us? We can achieve the impossible. We can better the omniverse in its entirety. Once we gain full control, we will be unstoppable..."
Gaster blinked, before turning away from the reflection as it faded into the inky void beyond.

"What... was necessary." He repeated, millions of screens beginning to appear around him, filling out the emptiness.

"What still is necessary."

"So, not that you've been the most willing to tell me much despite out "partnership" you desire, but what do you plan with this boy?"

Specter made his request as he saw the magical Avatar of Kyuseishu scan Hiro's prone body as the Keyblade Wielder had been laid and strapped to a spare table by his loyal followers. Once the Trinity Squadron finished his work Kyuseishu decided to address the latter's question though his mask's gaze kept onto Hiro.

"I'll say the boy has some...information, I am curious about. And leave it at that for now. I assure you once I am done he will no longer be an issue for either of us. Though I do request we land back on the surface to iron out the details of this little alliance." Kyuseishu's Avatar said as Specter almost seemed to have a sly grin in response.

"Already have coordinates set. Though I naturally need contact with my associates on the main ship. Have to make sure all the loose ends are tied up." Specter explained as one of his monkey workers aimed to stear the shuttle back to the planet, and other worked to get in contact with the leader of the Pipitrons.

All the while Kale laid in a state of duress, as if she sensed the dark atmosphere around her.

The math seemed fair enough as Caulifla quickly worked up sixty of the zeni and handed it to the skeleton man as she made the exchange and now with nothing to keep her at bay her eyes gleamed at the hot dogs. She squirted several shots of ketchup upon each one and then began to devour them; the Saiyan hunger seemed to be a trait not just exclusive to those in Universe 7 as she wolfed it down like she never ate anything before and hummed in delight.

"So, what brings the walking bone business man here?" Caulifla asked Sans as she chewed her food curious what his story was.

Guardian of the Multiverse? Why has Master Kairi never mentioned this?

Needless to say Maple's introduction and the arrival of Katsu with this new group was a lot to take in, but that did not stop Fumi from being polite as she shook Maple's hand in kind. Maple then explained how they could find Hiro and that was enough to get her interest as they'd need all hands on deck for this.

Katsu himself was curious about the missing Kris. As way Lilac who decided to speak up. "I can look for him, scanning this castle should be easy enough." Lilac assured, and before anyone could object the dragon girl dashed off at high speeds and began to search the ice castle for Kris.

"Whatever it takes. For now just someone to talk to would help a lot, but we should learn to speak and move to get going. Don't want to linger about here for too long while the day is young." Erza advised Jamie as she turned to Keda & Rex.

"Alright boys, let's move out. We have a lot of ground to make up and I aim to get to Keda's village before nightfall." Erza said with a more authoritative tone as she aimed to give the group a goal for the day and began to set out to motion them to follow.

Well with no objections, Star quickly grinned as she activated her wand and in a moment the group inside would flush out of it back to the outside world and wherever the current rock guard would have them.

"Now there is a man who has the right idea. Heart of a warrior." Thor said in support as he and Rocket loaded on the back of the truck. Thor seemed to admire Wario's bold approach and fired some lightning at the troops as cover fire while Rocket did the same with one of his favorite guns.

"Either that or the brain of a suicidal nut." Rocket muttered back.

"One issue, spider guy is kinda playing doctor with the robot there. So we have a wait a moment..." Toph explained to Logan as she casually jabbed her thumb backwards to where Spider-Man had been.

She was off by about six inches, but the general principle was there.

Name: Ogremon
Location: Saudi Arabia (Halo)

As Ogremon ran, much as he hated using the word itself, the ally they seemed to evacuate in proved almost as troubling as the legion of the undead; the walls and such seemed to explode as rocks dropped and debris was shot all around as if the very foundation threatened to collapse upon them.

Not only that, but the girl seemed to be mumbling. Something about having to get out of there, as if Ogremon had still been on the battlefield.

Great, the brat is delirious to.

Either way, Ogremon trugged on. Using his club to smash the rocks that directly threatened himself or Haze as he moved forward. His confidence never once wavered even in this situation.

"Bah, some sissy rocks are not a match for me. Give me a real challenge!"

Previously Blatant Mokery
Palladium
Palladium winced, moving his hand, shifting the crystal away from the blade, almost as if it pained him. He stared at Jet for a few moments, contemplating, before he let out a low, friendly chuckle.

“Can’t blame you for being weird about this, I guess, considering your run-in with handman earlier. Thing is, God has had his eye on you for quite some time. He gets a kick out of you. You should be flattered, even I wasn’t personally scouted,” he said, tapping a finger on his own chest, making a metallic thumping noise. “As for who God is? Well, maybe someday I’ll meet him, then I can tell you. I mean, my partner’s met him, that’s about as close as I’ve gotten. Old Sunshine doesn’t like answering my crystal-calls, if you get my drift,” he grinned charismatically.

“Anyways. Mind if I go ahead and have a word with your buddies, Silver and Blaze? I’m on a pretty strict schedule.”

Maxwell
Maxwell looked at Frisk for a moment, and the hand she’d extended. He slowly shifted his gaze to Lily, and if she hadn’t been fossilized, he was certain she would have given him a nod.

He slowly extended his hand, taking Frisk’s, and standing up, gripping his notebook and pencil in his free hand.

Nanashi
Above Camelot Castle

“Suparna,” Nanashi said to his demon, upon its back, the beast still airborne. He looked around at the castle they were circling. It wasn’t like any piece of construction he’d ever seen before- although, his admiration for it may have stemmed from the external luxuries, such as sunlight and fresh air, which they didn’t have back in Tokyo. The castle differed greatly from any skyscraper, or tower, or apartment complex. It was like something straight out of one of Boss’s old history books.

“Recall,” he said, tapping on his smartphone as he adjusted, aiming the demon downwards. They descended, Suparna suddenly disappearing into a mass of code, which was absorbed by the smartphone. Nanashi had timed it perfectly, so he didn’t break his legs the moment he landed on a surface. He landed at the base of a guard tower, on his feet.

He began to fiddle with his Smartphone a bit, seeing if the damned thing could provide him any useful information whatsoever as to his location. Alas, the most recent addition to the database was an article on how much lemon zest to add to a fried chicken recipe. He bookmarked said article for later, but for now, it wouldn’t be helpful. He looked up after a few moments, to see a guard staring back at him.

“You! Do you have any idea how many rules you just broke?” the guard demanded. Nanashi stared back, scratching the back of his head.

“No,” he said, a bit annoyed that he hadn’t avoided detection, but whatever.

“You broke one. And that’s one too many. You’re *supposed* to gain entry through the gate, especially if it’s your first time here.”

“What? But flying’s faster. Do you people not do that around here?” Nanashi questioned, silently comparing the roads of Camelot to that of Tokyo.

“...Before we proceed, I’d like to know if you have any information on the recent ‘sleep wave,’” the guard said the last two words with hesitation.

“I have... no idea what you’re talking about. My demons haven’t even taught me any sleep magic.”

Twilight Sparkle seemed ready to go, this wand trip was informative but they needed to take action before this dark presence caused any more damage. Once Star told everyone to come closer, she would feel the group transport from the inside of the wand to the outside as the castle walls were replaced with the outdoor wilderness. Twilight scanned the immediate area and thankfully nothing seemed to happen to the wand while they were inside so she'd have to credit the Nomad with his guard. Which, as Twilight soon noted, seemed to be buried in the snow. Least she assumed that was what it was as she saw tiny hands shaking out of the snow. "Uhhh, guys?"

Twilight tried to bring it to their attention, while she scanned the area all around them as she tried to spot something. Anything that may have been behind this.

Yharnam Sewers

Making sure everybody got in, Midoriya touched down last, looking around the sewers.
Sparks of electricity generated from his and Dex's bodies illuminated the immediate area, visible streaks of plasma arching around their limbs, their eyes carrying an eerie yet reassuring glow.
If there was any part of them (which there wasn't) that wanted to avoid bringing attention to either of them respectively, that was all out the window now.
Listening to them talk, Uraraka flinched as Shaynuh belched, the group not really acting that revolted by it. They were all bothered by the pungent odor of the sewers; they were either putting up with it as best they could, or just still mourning the loss of a classmate.
"Y-you alright?" the girl asked the werewolf, hoping to being any semblance of serenity or reassurance of safety to the group.

Camelot Castle Throne Room

Footsteps echoed through the halls of the castle, stepping carefully past and over guards who were still sleeping, and some who were only just getting up from their catnaps.
"Blimey... looks like everybody's out." The first voice spoke with a heavy British accent.
"Indeed. Are you certain you have the reasoning behind this?"
"I'm absolutely certain I do. I saw it all happen not that long ago, with my own two eyes."
"Hm. Then you can explain that to Lady Merlina."
As if on cue, they could hear voices coming from a nearby corridor, which happened to be their destination.
"Well, yes. Almost. Lancelot and myself resisted it, but Gawain..."
"Went out like a rock." replied another voice, followed by the sound of metal clanging against metal. "The heck happened?"
"Perhaps I can provide an explanation," uttered a voice, as the guard walked in.
"What's the meaning of this?" Lancelot asked nonchalantly. "We're having a conversation here..."
"Apologies, Sir Lancelot. I ran into a traveler who claims to know the origin of the... the "sleep wave" as some are calling it."
"...Then I apologize for my attitude. Bring him in at once."
"Why, thanks a bunch, good sir."
A tall man in a fashionable suit stepped in, straightening the cuffs of his jacket.
"Good day, Sirs and Lady," he exclaimed, with a charming grin. "Allow me to elucidate ya. The name's Robert Speedwagon; you can just call me Speedwagon. I heard you were lookin' for an explanation as to why everybody 'round 'ere seems to be takin' some peaceful little naps."
Speedwagon smiled, showing off a nice toothy grin. "And boy, do I have a story for you."
He looked over, recognizing Raiden. "Oh, unless this bloke right here was gonna explain the whole thing. In that case, don't let me stop you."

The Blacksmith, Spiral
Camelot Castle Town: The Blacksmith's Shop

Shrugging to Stark's statement, the bipedal hedgehog trudged back to the plans on the table.
"Alright... then what're we supposed to do about this?" he asked, picking up the piece of parchment with a particular design on it.
He didn't know it yet, but the sketch upon it was of something called an Arc Reactor.

Asta
Camelot

As Asta lied down, waiting for the end, he could feel a small poking in his head.
Struggling to stand, the white-haired boy watched as a small creature emerged from his headband.
"N-Nero?!" he stammered, watching as the bird emerged from his hair and sped off into the forest.
"W-wait, Nero...!" he exclaimed, stumbling over.
Realizing it was pointless, he stood up and watched as the Ogre's wounds continued to heal, the pace of its regeneration picking up.
"F-fine, I'll deal with you later."

...

The bird flew through the forest, ducking and maneuvering over leaves and through trees.
It emerged from the crowd of vegetation, fluttering to a clearing.
It was a lake, a large lake.
Stretching out across the landscape, the water was clear like a mirror. The further one looked into it, the deeper it seemed to get, increasing until it looked so deep it was bottomless.
Stumbling, the bird broke in flight several times, risking falling.
Finally, it came a cross a small bridge, leading to a tiny, beautiful building sitting on the water.
It touched down on the bridge's railing, simply looking out over the glossy water.

Jet paused in his tracks at the mention of...
“Anyways. Mind if I go ahead and have a word with your buddies, Silver and Blaze? I’m on a pretty strict schedule.”
Wanting to say something back, he managed to stop himself.
"Fine, but after, you're gonna tell me how you know about our visit with Wingding," he muttered, moving back a little.

Todoroki simply stood and watched Dell explain the situation, keeping track. There was nothing much for him to say; the Engineer seemed to have the situation under control.

Destiny
Goldenwalk City

"I sensed a disturbance in the Thirst. Here, free of charge!"
Turning, the Samurai's hand went to her backpack, pulling out a machine that quickly unfolded, transforming into a scythe in just over a second. As she brought down the weapon, the large blade slammed into the concrete next to Pepsiman, Destiny taking a moment to realize what she was looking at.
She eyed the strange man's blue and white figure up and down, her steely scarlet gaze not skipping a beat in scanning him from his head to his seemingly non-existent metallic toes.
When she was finished, the teen could only say one thing as she looked up at his faceless mug.

"What the fuck?"

Rex Raptor, Hero Killer Stain
The Wilds

Offended, Rex turned to Keda. "Hey, I'll have you know that... that I'm the World Champion where I come from! In my world, I'm sitting at the top of the food chain, just like my dinos!"
"Smooth, Rex, real smooth." he thought, patting himself on the back. "Hype yourself up even more, and make it harder for yourself later."
"A-anyways, why don't we get the heck outta this cave?"

----------

Moments passed as the elusive black figure eyed the wand sitting in the snow.
Tilting his head, he took a few steps towards the strange pink object.
"Did a girl lose her toy or something?" he thought, moving one of his long hands towards it.
Instantly, a small rock sitting near it jumped at his arm, beating into his fingers with tiny, weak strikes.
The Hero Killer flinched, leaping back and swiping his arm. The small critter sailed into a nearby tree, colliding with the wood and sinking back into the snow.
"What the hell is this?" Stain spat, looking down on the tiny rock, metaphorically and very literally.
He watched it waddle forward once more, beginning to beat on his boot with small strikes.
With a confused and unamused "tch", Stain raised his foot, his heel not leaving the white snow. As the rock stumbled, Stain found himself amused and unamused at the same time by its large, cartoonish eyes.
As it waddled forward again, he slowly brought his shoe down, the metal sole of his shoe forcing the tiny pebble into the snow. Kicking some more over it, he'd almost finished burying the creature in the cold before the strange artifact started glowing.
His eyes widening, Stain instantly drew his katana, the blood-stained blade reflecting what little light was there.
The Hero Killer jumped, stabbing his blade into one of the trunks. He carefully perched himself in the trees, one foot on his sword, the other on a large branch.
He examined carefully, watching as several figures appeared before him. Eyeing each one, he noted that their costumes incredibly resembled those of...
"Heroes..." he thought, narrowing his gaze, listening to their semi-cheerful tones.

Achilles flinched at the sound of the werewolf's reaction to the smell. He was resisting the urge to join in, since his sense of smell was much more sensitive than most of the group. His eyes glowed bright blue as he turned into his Night Variant. His fur was black, and his ears became long and somewhat slim. He had a single yellow band around his tail, with yellow rings on his legs in the same locations as Umbreon's. A single yellow ring floated around each of his ears. The yellow markings, as well as the rings around his ears started to glow.

"Oh no! Man down man down!" Star cried out as she moved to pick up the little rock with eyes by its tiny arms and tried to pull him out of the snow. Dipper was a bit alarmed at this when Twilight brought it to everyone's attention as Raven began to scan the area around them as her expression betrayed nothing but that sharp sense that allowed all heroes to just know something bad was coming refused to leave the pit of her stomach.

"Yeah, so either some creature stepped on it and walked away...or something forced it there on purpose. Either way, something tells me we are not alone out here..." Raven said to the group present though she had no way to know just what lied in the shadows around them.

-----
"I already made the suggestion. So let's move." Erza said as she motioned for the bickering pair to follow her along with Jamie as she had taken the lead as they prepared to venture towards civilization in Keda's village where perhaps they'd get the aid they had been in need of.

"Gah! Get any of that on me and I'll blow you to hell fur...!" Bakugo said, as he almost shouted at the werewolf before a swift hand from Akame closed his mouth as she scanned him with a bored yet somehow equally intense glare as those shining red eyes stared into his very soul...or so it felt.

"It would be wise not to shout, a beast may very well trail us here if you attract them with your motor mouth." Akame replied with a monotone delivery and gentle tone. But it had been just loud enough to get her point across as Bakugo scowled at the girl who in turn kept a focused gaze his way before she advanced.

"We shouldn't linger for too long. We should try and keep moving...difficult as it may be." Akame advised to the group as she had kept her hand close to the handle of her sword. Just in case.

Blake and Weiss had both been...alarmed, when the bird on Asta's head just revealed itself and flew away, but they had more pressing concerns as the Ogre began to heal itself.

The two huntresses attacked as one. Weiss fired ice Dust shots at the Ogre as she aimed to freeze him in place and pin him while Blake produced a clone and attacked with consecutive slashes at high speeds as she aimed to cut it faster than the beast could heal itself on top of cutting the parts Weiss tried to freeze as they tried to finish this thing here and now.

The Hunter
Specter's Shuttle Pipotron Chamber

It all went a little too fast for the Hunter. Whiffing the attack, the urn sent back at him. But before it had shattered, a blast ripped open the roof, oxygen and oil beginning to escape into the void. A metal cord shot across the room, the slayer yelling to grab it. And the Hunter would've...until electricity rippled through it, shocking poor mister Hiro, who had grabbed it sooner than the Hunter.

"Hiro!" He shouted, reaching for him in increasingly mute area. But it was too late- one of the key bastards had snatched Hiro up, and...disappeared. Gone, without a trace. "HIRO!" He useless shouted again. Then, he growled. He just reunited with the kid, and now the trio of clowns had gone up and taken him from him!

...The void of space continued to pull at the objects, including the Hunter's hat...and breath. The Slayer's line was electrified because of the bastards, and was enough to knock Hiro out cold. So how could he...His saw! The bolt paper only made his blade spark, not the handle. Better than slipping into the stars.

Throwing the cleaver back into it's folded state, the sawblade and handle clamped the line between them. The handle of wood and leather didn't conduct- hands firmly grasping the handle now, he shouted out. "SLAYER! Pull me back!"

Eileen the Crow, Ridley
Yharnam Sewers

As the group continued into the sewers, things took a turn for the worse. The path was barred- a hefty iron gate blocking the bath. She shook it a bit- too solid to go through. "...Shite." She glanced about- a more cramped pipe was present, though it looked big enough for everyone- even the bulky Trevor -to fit through. Maybe a bit snug, but at worst there'd only be a rat or two in there. No boar would shove it's away in.

"We might not be able to go much farther this way, but we could follow this pipe. It is likely connected to the main line- an overflow pipe, yeah?" That was a guess on Eileen's part, but wasn't entirely unfounded. At worst, the pipe would lead them back up to the surface, and it certainly rain enough to threaten any of them being injured or flushed out.

...A nest of the damn rats. With a snarl, Ridley sent them into a frenzy. The diseased, misshapen creatures whipped around, biting at one another, some nipping at Ridley's heavy scales. Who wordlessly sliced those who dare come too close. They were sent screeching off into the depths, off to go find a new nesting place without a vicious creature terrorizing them.

But it was then Ridley heard a noise. Something in the air. A...split. A crackle. Something had opened, beaming with power. An opponent was approaching?

With baited breath, he turned to the source. Something radiating out energy, something actually impressive in the dank old sewer.

Raiden
Camelot Castle Halls

"It's a bit hard to explain. It started when I was watching two kids fight at the training grounds. However, something strange began happening when one of the kids seemed to summon a monster of a kind." Raiden's interface sent out a holographic photo of the small Mokey Mokey. "I believe it was called Mokey. I noticed an immediate change in other watchers, as in most became infatuated by it's appearance. Though it seemed rather harmless, until..."

A new image was projected, one of a much larger Mokey. "He summoned this one. It had an odd effect on my systems. This picture is just one of thousands." Raiden projected another image. And another. Nearly identical images of the King Mokey, all taken inadvertently. "Some sort of memetic effect. It even tried to force through my systems, put me to sleep. Didn't let it though. Unfortunately, not everyone else had the ability to resist it. Most fell asleep almost immediately. Originally I thought it only effected the direct area, but it seems it radiated out to everyone in the Kingdom."

Raiden closed out the images, and produced a new one. A young boy, somewhat disheveled, with a dopey face. An additional, smaller text box subtitled it- "Belowski", a name Raiden had gotten via osmosis of watching. "This is who summoned the sleep making monster. I don't think he meant it maliciously, but it could be a problem."

It was then a dapper gent, with a tall, checkered hat strolled in. Saying that he too had the story. Though he appreciated the chap asking if he already had the story. "Uh...Yes. I just finished telling them. But if you'd like to confirm my story, be my guest."

Jetstream Sam
Camelot Castle Town

"Oh course we aren't going to fight here." Sam said, "We aren't animals. I hear there's a special area for fighting within the castle." The pseudo-samurai kept a hand on Murasama's handle regardless. No telling if Bowser would want a fight sooner or later. "It'll be good sport! But not to the death of course. We have no need to spill pointless blood."

Sam led the way to the castle. In due time, they reached the gates, the town a bit more active once again. The guards weren't particularly on alert about their arrival. "Here we are. Me and Azula will be on our best behavior while you rub elbows with your fellow royals, mister Bowser. Then we can see about our little scuffle, right?"

Kiran
Camelot Castle Dormitories

In equal parts awe and horror, Kiran watched the battle come to a swift, almost anticlimatic, end. Sure, the absolute speed that Bro decimated the foe was incredible. When he returned, Bro had hardly broken a sweat. The enemy, some amorphous ball of black goo, promptly burned to cinders by one of the royal knights. But that wasn't really the horrific part.

It was just how...ungodly powerful Bro was. He went light speed, defeated a foe a literal god with additional help was struggling with in about the span of thirty seconds (If he was being generous) and returned without being fazed in any sense of the word. Not one lock of hair out of place, a tad ironic for the speeds he must've been hitting. Really, that had to be some strong gel or sturdy hair follicles.

Dirk's figure seemed to be ever more imposing now, even as he casually asked if Kiran was ready to go. The young man nodded in response. "Yeah, we should. Go."

He waited a moment, for them to get away from the aftermath. "So...how did you, just...do that?" Kiran asked, "Like...go so fast? Did you...train? Born that way...? You also took off so fast- Like, everyone should've been blown away by going that fast. But you didn't. Does...that makes sense right? So how do you do it?!" Kiran liked to explain things rationally. But as the day trudged on, that was becoming ever harder to do.

He wasn't sure if the hope of things being rational died before the skeleton or after...

Samus, Sarah, and the Flamebringer
Atlantic Oceanside

"Wow, first conversation and he says that." Sarah shook her head.

"He's probably not wrong." Samus responded back with little tact. "It's just fact, from what I know from Sonic."

"Still, wow."

"He...He is really not looking at us." The Flamebringer brought up, squinting out into the horizon. The figure's cape blew from the ocean's wind, his head turned towards an unknown source.

"...Is he?" Sarah's interest piqued, she too joined in looking out on the horizon. "...He isn't! Geez, can't he at least give us the time of day?" She seemed somewhat annoyed at this, obviously thinking herself a threat still.

And now Samus's interest was piqued. Her visor zoomed in on the person, his intimidating view clear. "...So he isn't. If he isn't interested in engaging at this point, we won't provoke him. We need to work on recovering from our prior fight, and I don't think Sonic will mind a few minutes for a breather either."

"Wouldn't the best thing to do in this situation be to strike him while he is not looking? You and the Hedgehog can take him from behind, and slay him now. He is not expecting backup, yes?" Asked an ever curious Flamebringer. "Crush him like the King. As I've said to do already."

"You raise a fair point, but if he does possess some sort of telepathy, sneak attacks likely won't work. I'm not sure what level of telepathy he is using specifically though, considering I've never heard of Sonic's uncle either. Sonic, what's your verdict here? You've been fighting him longer than any of us have." Samus was very reluctant to hop into a battle right away. Telepathy could mess up very expendable resources like her missiles, and her suit had already taken mild damage from the battle earlier.

She liked to deal in with a full hand, not take the chance with half of one.

Priscilla, Jackson, Quint
Goldenwalk Streets Battlefield

"Direct hit- Recharging and firing again." The soldiers repeated, though a sparking attack from below zooming in on their position spooked them.

"Object inbound, prepare for impact!"

The Stormbreaker shattered through concrete, had smashed into one of the firing squad, blowing them on their back, shuttering with electricity. Before any of them could fire at it, the Nidavellir-made weapon returned to it's master.

"Fat Italian was hit, it does not look like he sustained much damage- though it doesn't seem like he can do much from down there." Wario's smash had crackled the asphalt, and sent a formidable fracture up the building, though it hadn't seemed to budged. "Target the axe man- appears to be blond, bearded Caucasian human."

And as another beam blasted down on the street, the more squishy of the group had taken shelter behind a fairly damaged vehicle. Made for fine cover as they dealt with the big guys, but the moment those who could pose a fight were taken out...

"Shit. That stuff is nasty." Lamented Jackson, who's body was slowly reversing the laser burn. "I don't think I'd come back if one of those hit me real good."

"Gone gone? Like dead for sure?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but I also don't want to find out." He admitted. "How the hell are we supposed to fight them? Thor's got his axe...thing. Where's the big gun?"

The 'big gun' had been dropped by Wario after the first shot. Miraculously, it seemed to have missed the railgun entirely- though a bit scuffed. Still looked like it would work. If they could get to it. Priscilla eyed it out. "It's out there, and-"

She was interrupted as another laser barrage began scorching down into the street once again, this time headed at Thor. Priscilla quickly pulled her head back. "...We need to wait for a lull in the assault."

"...Wait, couldn't we just run?" Asked Quint, gesturing to an alleyway. The building wasn't the one the soldiers were perched on.

Priscilla thought it over for a minute. "...That's a fair point. If we can get Wario over here, we can do that. I don't think his friends here would mind dipping, and we are kind of disadvantaged. Being on the ground and all." Logically, it would take the soldiers a good couple minutes to reposition and fire at them again. By that time they could be out of the business district, or looking for a more stealthy route in.

Now the question was, would Wario and Thor be fine with that? The latter, maybe. But the former...he was a bit of a wild card as far as she could tell.

Silver Scythe
Goldenwalk Streets

Celice heard what both Gwen and the bandit had to say. The bandit lamented the loss of his sandwich, which had plopped on the ground. She bent down, picking up the sandwich. It had remained mostly intact after the landing, but not many people wanted to eat something that touched the same ground as many, many different boots and feet.

Wordlessly, she began to eyeball it. If she did it just right...

Bringing her scythe's edge up to it, she did her best to slice off the contaminated bit of bread. Peeling off the thin slice, she handed back the bandit's sandwich, now..."cleaner".

"Just because your her friend, okay?"

Sure, the scythe had been through many cars that night alone, and many people before...but it was better than floor bread.

"It looks like a nice sandwich. It's not trash. Yet."

Hornet
Arendelle Mountains Castle

Kris was still not present.

Where could've he gone? Did he just wander off without telling anyone?...Well, someone had to get him, and she was never one for interacting at large. "I'll take a leave to find Kris then. I believe Lilac went off to find him already, but more eyes makes faster work. This castle only goes on so far."

As she walked away from the group, she couldn't help but think of that diminutive ghost. It was always an odd thing, as all vessels were- though none quite acted like the little ghost had. There was always a...purpose. An ideal to who they were. Perhaps earlier that's the type of thing Kris was talking about. How something- or someone- seemed to have given it one. Hornet never felt that, because she always had her purpose. She was born with a purpose- to be the successor of Hallownest, the successor of her mother, the successor of the old wyrm. But now, Hallownest was being reconstructed even without her presence, the infernal plague's flow staunched thanks to the ghost.

And when Hallownest was restructured, what would she be? A queen? Not something she exactly desired for herself. Perhaps she'd need to seek out what Kris had asked of her. An almost divine purpose.

Maybe she was already under that purpose.

...Even still, her philosophical thoughts were suppressed by her desire to find Kris. The icy halls nearly spanned on forever. Maybe it did go so far...

The Soldier, Decker
City of Mercy

The Engineer's explanation made sense, even to the half drunk man. "Yeah, I get it...I have a buddy, Xu, right? Real egghead, I guess like you. Said something like this. Buuuut..." Decker dragged his foot across the the small K&O writing, replacing it with a...'D', messily written with his foot. "Let's not give K&O everything yet. Or tell them about this at all. After all, I sort of kind of discovered this whole...thing...so now I'm...yeah. It's the Decker universe. There's obviously only one me, right?" Decker was a bit out of it, but still. 'I' would've been second choice, but then he'd have to explain it and that was a whole rigmarole.

"So...we know we are here. So how do we get back to your place or my place? Cause this...X universe. This place sucks. All it has is sand and monsters. And...I'm guessing you didn't pick up lead poisoned guy back there here. We just need to find one of those blue things, right?"

Soldier, meanwhile, still watched Decker with incredible suspicion. "Son," He told Todoroki, once again in his loud whisper voice. "If you see any indication that that man is an agent sent by bathrobe wearing wizards, blast him without hesitation! Who knows, he may have Kill Me and Come Back Stronger pills on him, in which case, DON'T blast him. Because he be killed and come back stronger."

...Decker could only absorb so much from afar, but this guy really was a bonafide nutcase. And Decker had met a lot of nutcases in his life. This one went squarely between the communist and the one with the fried brain.

Commander Cecil
Goldenwalk Downtown

In that response, gears in Cecil's head began to spin.

This "girl" was far more than she seemed. "Girl" was a gross understatement, provided she wasn't playing herself up in ways.

A creator, a destroyer...it sounded very similar to someone he served. "I believe I may of been underestimating you. I do not believe my emperor would like to hear such speech- nor would you two get along. However, that does not directly make us enemies. It'd be an expenditure of resources for an ultimately pointless loss. Provided I did survive such a situation, my superiors would admonish my efforts no doubt. Zeliyis himself, from the multiple stories I heard of him..."

Hmm. What was Zeliyis? As a person, he knew not who he was. What personality he had. Only hushed rumors of what he could do, only brief sightings of his power dominating over worlds. He was a figurehead over a person.

"...He is a prideful being, crushing force above all. I do not believe he would take well to the idea someone far below him had disposed of a 'godly' being. He prefers to kill such being himself, so he can take their powers for his own. That is only rumor from what I've heard, however."

Cecil still served Zeliyis. He couldn't see himself in any other role, not at all. Though he could notice the ever slightest flaws in his emperor, thanks to these conversations. It was somewhat enlightening, though the Commander wasn't sure if it was entirely necessary or productive thoughts...

Camelot Castle, Throne Room [Afternoon]
"Another one of those playing card users..." Merlina put her hand on her chest, thinking. "And now, of all times. Lancelot, I'd like you to go down and confirm for yourself whether or not this young man is a threat to the Kingdom."

Camelot Castle, Dining Hall [Afternoon]

"Honestly? I feel like I just had a front seat to a Jigglypuff musical..." Serena blinked, still somewhat tired. She let out a dainty yawn. That's when she noticed the flaming symbiote and recoiled in fear. "Agh! What is that?! It's like some sort of... burnt, melted Ditto!"

Joseph smiled. "Love you too, Arty!" He gave a wide cartoonish grin towards his frenemy. When Negan rose, Joseph turned to him. "You're the one that had that black goo monster thing, right? Well, when everyone here took some sort of tumble and fell asleep, your goop pet decided it was hungry for human flesh and tried to eat us. Artemis and I, the perfect tag team that we are, had the battle under control until some spotlight-stealer showed up and dealt with it. It possessed that grey shirtless man for a bit."

Camelot Castle Town, Blacksmith's Shop [Evening]
"That, my friend, is why we need a pinch of magic." Stark replied. "This is what's going to power the Iron Man armor. If I can build it in a cave, I can build it in medieval times. We've been getting some preliminary work done; now we just need the Howardium to serve as its core. Which means we're gonna need a laser and a very specific fusion plate."

Atlantic Oceanside [Evening]
"From what I've seen, he's got a form of precognition, but he's slow. Relative to us, anyways." He gestured to himself and Samus. "If we can hit him hard and fast, we might be able to take him off-balance long enough to wipe him out for good."

Atlantic Ocean [Evening]
With a court nod, the machine's chest opened up, a small blue crystal revealed within it.
Our means of departure.

Goldenwalk Streets
"Good to have you with us, Doctor Freeman." Nathan gave a reassuring smile, turning back to X. "Alright, let's rock and roll." He grabbed onto X's right hand, and as soon as Gordon took the android's left, X blasted off. The trio flew across the sky up until spotting Gwen, the Silver Scythe and... some other guy?

Bodega Bandit couldn't help but whistle at the cut. "For such a scary woman, you're pretty cool. Thanks, Gwennie's new friend." Bodega Bandit took another bite of his sandwich. "Totally worth losing the stapler."

Pepsi Man merely stood there, making no response to the sudden outburst of the violent samurai.
"You're not you when you're thirsty. Which is totally an original slogan." Pepsi Man continued to hold out the Pepsi can.

Goldenwalk Streets Battlefield
"I-I'm all up for running!" Mona raised a small hand from behind cover. "But Wario... he's gonna be a bit harder to convince."
Especially now that Wario was exactly where he wanted to be. He had managed to dash over to the building, directly where he had made his crack in it. Grabbing both sides of the building, he growled as he began to push out... causing the building to slowly crack apart.

Goldenwalk Business District
At this point, Peter had decided to rely on the tensile strength of his webbing to get a better look at the android. She was now supported against a support pillar, webbing keeping her upright. Parker was trying to find some sort of opening or access port he could use to open her up and get a good look at what he was dealing with as far as repairs went, but so far he wasn't finding anything. "I think we might need to find Nathan before doing any repair work. I've got no clue how to even get to the parts I need to fix."

ONI Delta Station - Reach Underground
Mikhail nodded. He had his reservations about this whole deal, but... well, better to follow than be threatened by whatever they were worrying about. He trailed along behind the pair.

Sequin Land, Mermaid Falls
"Yeah, I can just plop myself together at any time. Don't even need the old pieces." Rottytops said. "If I can just..."
She tried leaning to the left.
"Come on...!"
She tried leaning to the right.
"Oh you gotta be-"
She tried leaning forward, but still remained with the top of her head touching the ground. Rottytops put on beady anime eyes. "I'm turtled..."

Far East, Fenrir Base
"Meet me in exactly one hour at the training room. I'll book us a private session." Alisa said.
"You sure about that?" Lenka asked. "I'd rather not have either one of you push yourselves too far..."
Alisa shot Lenka a glare. "I know exactly what I'm doing..." Alisa stalked out of the room.
"She's very harsh on people she doesn't know... Don't take it personally." Kota tried to justify Alisa's actions to Rick. "Hard not to be that way when you're told for the better part of your upbringing that you're meant to be the best, I'd imagine."

Far East, City of Mercy
Blaze swept her foot back, moving into combat posture.
"Hold on, Blaze." Silver tried to calm her down. "He's just talking with Jet, right? We may not need to worry..."
Blaze glared at Silver. "I don't think that's going to hold up when the threats start coming."
"Blaze-"
"You're telling me what he's been talking about doesn't make him out to be a grade-A villain? Think about it, Silver. I'm staying on guard either way..." Blaze looked back towards the incoming man.

"That about sums it up." Conagher said. "Only problem with that is, unless we can figure out how to get these crystals to send us to where we want, it's entirely possible we'll just be stuck in the same situation in a new world."

Arendelle, Elsa's Castle
Maple nodded as Lilac and Hornet both moved off. "I suppose I can try to explain things, since I'm sure you're curious." Maple said. "My group and I actually come from a parallel multiverse, one that contains different versions of many of the same worlds you have here. For example, I know for a fact that Katsu and I both know a very different Shantae. I learned my craft from my father, a fellow sorcerer who goes by the name of Flint."

"Your friends are coming."
* You know.
"Then I'll bid farewell for now."
With a daint wave, Plague vanished into a volley of green smoke. Kris drew his sword at last, slashing to spread the smoke away and make it appear as if no one was there. Sheathing his blade once again, Kris turned to see... the incoming purple streak.
* You await Lilac's approach.

The Wilds, The Storm
The Nomad was in shock. The scarecrow slowly advanced on the small rock, Star pushing away enough snow to allow him to scoop the stone up in his arms and huddle him, trying to warm him up. The Nomad's eyes were steely now...
No one hurts his friends.
Tucking the rock into his hat, the Nomad joined Raven in scanning the area. With a powerful double clap of his hands, several other rocks popped to life and joined in the search.

The Wilds, The Cavern
Keda couldn't help but let out a chuckle at Erza's statement. "I think you two are being a bit too optimistic. It's at least three weeks of walking - maybe more with these cuffs on - before we'll reach the village. Unless we had some means of transportation, we'd starve or die of exhaustion before getting halfway there through nothing but constant walking."

Yharnam Sewers
"I'll go first."
"Trevor-"
"I mean it." The vampire hunter looked back to Sypha. With a click, he detached his cloak from the rest of his body, handing it to his partner. "I'd rather not keep dragging it against the floor..." The vampire hunter hunched down, moving past the group. He had one hand on his whip, and another hand both holding his sword and pushing against the pipe wall. "If you hear whip cracks, find another way." Trevor ordered, slowly moving through. "If it's safe, I'll call the rest of you through. Be. Cautious."
And Trevor went in.

Specter's Ship, Krak's Hope's Lab
>LOADING CUTMAN.EXE.......................................100%
"...give me the bad news first."
Cut Man had just been reactivated, the core components repaired. Hope let out a sigh as she sat on a table across from the Robot Master.
"Alright. Elec Man's core mechanics - his integrated circuit, processor, weapon controller and communicator - are all in the head the Pipotrons have. We can't guarantee his safety until we get over there and get his head back." van Dyne laid out the situation. "On the flip side, the good news is that Elec Man's parts were almost a perfect match for yours, and Krak had a lot of compatible pieces around. So I didn't actually have to do that much grunt work. For the sake of time, I essentially swapped out the damaged parts with Elec Man's functional ones."
"W-wait, does that include my weapon chip?!" Cut Man looked at his wrist.
"Fortunately, I was able to get that repaired." Hope knew what his worries were. "Your equipment is still intact, though I may have done a bit of a subpar job on repairing that. It should work, though, so long as you don't take heavy arm damage."
Cut Man nodded. "Can you get Elec Man's body put together?"
"I focused on your body." Hope said. "I'll need time to reconstruct Elec Man's body - Krak basically tore him apart. I'm lucky the big parts were still in one piece. But with your broken parts able to serve as solid connections, I may be able to-"

————-————-————-————-
Space
————-————-————-————-

In the nearly silent space, the only movement or change aside from the occasional twinkling of surrounding stars was the movement of a massive injector. The injector’s drill was gleaming in the starlight, its many ‘claws’ slowly moving, as if seeking a surface to burrow into and start emptying the injector’s contents into whatever it found. Atop the injector stood an unmoving, sitting figure, who’s gaze was focused on the stars above. On her chest sat a heart-shaped pink gemstone, though it was upside down. Her complexion was pinker than her gemstone, and her eyes were just a little bit too wide and wild-looking for her to appear sane, especially with the mascara marks that appeared underneath them. Her hair consisted of two spiky-looking magenta pigtails that pointed straight up, and her attire consisted of magenta gloves, boots, white stockings, and puffy magenta shorts. The only part of her outfit that wasn’t magenta was her black top, which her gemstone rested on.

She didn’t seem to mind the slow drift through space, in fact, she looked quite content aside from the maniacal look in her eyes and the twisted smirk on her face. Her joy stemmed from the fact that she knew that she was nearing her destination. Earth. Home of Steven Universe.

Her intentions were quite simple- the gem wanted to plant her injector into the Earth’s crust, right in front of Steven. Then, her work would be done, and she’d be free to do anything she wanted. Maybe she could even have some fun with the denizens of Earth for a while!

She stood up, before holding up a handful of index cards, as if she were about to give a presentation in front of a classroom full of people. She cleared her throat, before she began to read.

“Ahem! Steven Universe, son of Pink Diamond, so-called savior of the universe, and new arch-enemy, I am Spinel, and I- oh, forget it,” she grumbled, tossing the notecards out into space. “I’ll just improvise.”

She let out a long sigh, before suddenly looking around, appearing paranoid. Spinel could swear she’d just heard something…

Her suspicions were confirmed when she winced, looking off into the distance once more. She could vaguely see something coming towards her, a massive space rock. Spinel grit her teeth angrily as the massive asteroid hurtled closer and closer toward the injector, not very happy about the threat to her… mission. She reached towards the asteroid as it got closer and closer, her arms elongating to massive lengths as they coiled around the chunk of space rock. Once it was properly in her grasp, she spun rapidly on her heel, hurling it away.

She huffed, sitting down now that the issue had been resolved. It would be a bit longer before the injector finally reached its set destination. So, maybe she could figure out another speech…

CRASH!

Spinel’s eyes widened at the sound of something slamming into her injector, the machine shaking violently, nearly throwing her off. She stood, and couldn’t believe what she saw. A ship, about four times the size of the injector, and out of the bottom of the spacecraft extended a large metallic claw that looked more suited for a gigantic claw machine than a spaceship. It latched onto the injector, before all went silent once more.

Spinel was not having it, her legs getting a spring-like appearance for a brief moment before she leapt towards the ship that had interfered with her travels. She landed atop the ship’s main body, and shifted her gaze all around with a furious expression on her face.

“I-“ a voice behind her began, but Spinel instantly cut them off by turning around and launching an extended arm toward the speaker. It coiled around their neck and lifted them up high so Spinel could get a good look.

The victim looked terrified. It was a gem, obviously, but an unfamiliar one. She appeared to be no more than four feet tall, and her complexion was ocean-blue, almost as blue as the circular gemstone embedded in her throat, which Spinel had a tight grip on. Her hair was somewhat poofy, and it mostly extended straight up into one unkempt black and blue bird’s nest. The blue gem’s beady eyes were full of emotion- mostly horror, at the moment. Her outfit consisted of a blue tank top that was poofy at the shoulders, and a long black skirt, along with blue ribbons that were wrapped tightly around her arms. Spinel examined her, especially her face, finding the sheer terror awfully amusing.

“You’ve got some nerve,” Spinel spoke, quietly but menacingly, “to get in my way like that.”

“I’m s-so sorry!” the small gem cried meekly, flailing to try and escape the pink gem’s grasp. “We didn’t know! We didn’t know! I-I thought the injector was ab- aban-“ she took a deep breath as she found herself too emotional to pronounce the last word. “Abandoned.”

Unsatisfied, Spinel tightened her grip. “You should have looked more carefully. I have things to attend to. And you might have just damaged my injector, you klutz.”

“I really d-didn’t know, please don’t hurt me!” the blue gem sobbed, continuing to thrash weakly, but escape was impossible. Spinel’s glare shifted into a twisted smirk. This gem reminded her of another ignorant someone that the jester had once known. She lowered and retracted her arm as she released her grip, much to the blue gem’s relief. Spinel decided that she wasn’t worth shattering. She wasn’t an Earth inhabitant anyways.

“You’re still in hot water,” Spinel assured her. “Tell me your name.”

“I’m Apatite! A-Apatite!” the shorter gem quickly said, clearly trying not to anger the stranger any further. “M-Me and my friends are just drifting around and looking for s-spare parts! W-We don’t ever try to take people’s things. I really t-thought your injector was abandoned. P-Please forgive me…”

Spinel folded her arms, glaring once again after hearing Apatite’s polite apology. Despite how upsetting it was to have her injector damaged, she found it difficult to stay angry at the blue gem.

“Why are you and your ‘friends’ taking abandoned injectors?” Spinel demanded, more suspicious than curious.

“M-My friend Aegirine is a great mechanic,” Apatite explained, her voice squeaky, but calm and peaceful, in contrast to Spinel’s rather rough, expressive, and demanding tone. “We like to collect things she can use t-to build… well, things like this ship. She made it herself.”

“And where are you from?” Spinel asked, cocking her head to the side. “Homeworld? That useless rock, Earth, maybe?”

“I-I’m from Homeworld,” Apatite informed her. “I w-worked under Blue Diamond. But I didn’t like her… so, I, um… quit. But now I’m, uh, a fugitive… that’s not very fun…” she bit her lip as her eyes became glossed over, as if remembering a traumatic experience.

Spinel stared intently at Apatite for a few seconds, her face going through a plethora of expressions and emotions. First, she appeared amused- then surprised- then… happy. Not maniacal-happy. Genuinely happy.

“Well, why didn’t you just say so!” Spinel said, her voice laced with an unusual sweetness. “You and I are the same.”

“Um… what do you mean?” Apatite asked, looking confused.

“I’m not too fond of my Diamond either,” Spinel explained, drumming her fingers together excitedly. “So I left Homeworld too.”

“W-Woooah!” Apatite exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm as Spinel not only revealed a similarity they shared, but was beginning to show a friendly side. That was a good change of pace for the blue gem. “S-Say, do you want to come into the ship? I-I’m sure the others won’t mind!”

Spinel raised an eyebrow at the invitation, looking from side to side awkwardly, as if unconvinced that it was her that was being spoken to. She looked back at the injector, then at Apatite.
“Sure. One more small delay wouldn’t hurt,” she shrugged.
————-————-————-————-
Ship’s Interior
————-————-————-————-

“So you worked under P-Pink Diamond?” Apatite asked Spinel as she poured two champagne glasses full of apple cider. The two were seated across from eachother at a small table, one of many that were present in the ship’s dining area- which was a bit unnecessary, since gems didn’t need to eat, but Spinel couldn’t deny how nice everything looked. The room was spotless, and the elegant chandeliers dangling from the ceiling gave off a dim light, illuminating the area and giving it a relaxing vibe. The wallpaper was persian red with marigolds painted on it.

“I wouldn’t say ‘worked,’” Spinel replied, leaning back casually as she leered at the unfamiliar beverage, picking up the glass with a gloved hand and taking a sip. She shuddered due to the carbonation, lowering the glass. “I was her playmate. A new friend for a lonely pink gem!” she smiled, but the smile’s genuinity was soon ruined by the narrowing of Spinel’s eyes. “Anyways,” she said, gripping the glass so tight that Apatite was worried it would break. Spinel took another drink.

“Well, w-what happened that made you leave your Diamond?” Apatite asked curiously, sipping her cider. This was clearly the wrong question to ask, because Spinel’s eyes immediately became slightly bloodshot and filled with rage.

“I didn’t,” Spinel said through grit teeth. “I didn’t leave her.” Apatite’s question had hit a sore spot, and she quickly realized this, looking away to avoid eye contact with the now miffed Spinel.

“...Are you okay?” Apatite asked quietly after what seemed like an eternity of silence.

“What?” Spinel asked, having not heard her.

“I asked… are you okay?” Apatite repeated herself, looking back at Spinel. “You just seem… sad. And mad. And your cheeks are c-covered in tear marks…”

Spinel rolled her eyes, and they made a small clicking sound once her pupils had made a full loop around her eyes. “Oh, please. I’m just fine. Don’t I seem fine? Don’t I seem swell?” Spinel grinned from ear to ear, drumming her fingers on the table. Apatite swallowed, and instead of answering, she poured Spinel another glass of cider, the beverage seeming to have grown on the pink gem.

Suddenly, the door to the dining area slid open. Apatite looked over at who had arrived, and a relaxed smile spread across her face. “A-Aegirine.”

Spinel looked over at Aegerine. She was at least six feet tall, and had a… confusing look. She was muscular, definitely the kind of gem that could easily settle conflict with fists. Her complexion was black, and her eyes crimson and lacking pupils. Her skin looked like it had the texture of... sandpaper, maybe? A long head of curly, dark grey hair flowed behind her, looking smooth and well kept. She wore black shoulder pads with grey edges, and a tattered grey cape that was flowing behind her, despite there being no wind. She also donned worn steel armor, but a helmet was absent. Despite her intimidating appearance, her red eyes somehow gave off a gentle gaze.

“Apatite.” The tall gem’s voice was firm and calm, relaxed, unlike her anxious blue companion. “Who is this?”

“T-This is Spinel,” Apatite introduced, gesturing to the gem seated across from her. “She’s from Homeworld, like us. She, um… that injector we grabbed was hers…”

Aegirine’s eyelids became shut, as she appeared to become deep in thought. “How unfortunate,” she sighed. “I just got done inspecting that injector. It would have been wonderful to reverse engineer. Alas. What’s yours is yours, Spinel. Sadly, the damages our claw has caused to your injector have rendered it non-functional.”

“...What.” Spinel slowly stood up, locking eyes with the new gem. Apatite quickly stood up, grabbing Spinel’s arm and tried to calm her down.

“D-Don’t worry, it will be alright,” Apatite assured the enraged Spinel. “Aegirine can fix it. That’s what she does! R-Remember when I told you she was an engineer? A-Aegir, you’d be happy to fix Spinel’s injector, right?”

“I broke it. I don’t have a choice,” Aegirine shrugged, and Spinel seemed to calm down, but only a bit.

“And how long will it take to fix?” Spinel demanded, putting a hand on her hip, her gaze never moving away from Aegirine.

“It’s not a matter of time, it’s a matter of resource,” Aegirine informed her. “As of right now, I lack the materials to repair your injector. However, if I acquired the material, I could make it functional again very quickly.”

Spinel narrowed her eyes once again, her voice sharp and biting. “And what materials do you need?” she asked, left eye twitching, a clear sign of her irritation. “How much damage did you even DO?”

“Well, your injector is non-functional. So you can assume the damages are substantial,” Aegirine replied bluntly. “The list of materials I require is vast. However, I am capable of acquiring most of them, luckily for you. Your assistance would make the process faster, however.”

Spinel put both hands on her hand, groaning audibly. She hadn’t been expecting to have to run an errand just to be able to use her injector.

Ashen Planet
————-————-————-————-

“O-Okay, Aegirine said we needed to collect two things from this place,” Apatite informed Spinel, the two walking on an ashy surface, the only thing within seeing distance that wasn’t ash being the ship, which had landed here so that Spinel and Apatite could find the materials to repair the injector.

“I know,” Spinel replied irritably, a moody expression on her face, but Apatite’s eyes were full of curiosity and excitement at the thought of exploring this planet, regardless of how barren it seemed. “Moss and water. Neither of which are here.”

“You just have to know w-where to look,” Apatite got on her knees and began to dig through the ash below. Spinel watched, arms folded, until the shorter gem made a discovery. Below the ash was a large patch of shiny, lime-colored moss.

“Hooray!” Spinel said, mood instantly shifting from irritable to joyful. She kneeled beside Apatite, and the two began to tear away at the squishy, shiny substance. Soon enough, they had a decently sized pile of the moss.

“And if there’s moss, then w-water has to exist on this planet,” Apatite said, closing her eyes as she explained. “Organic life like this can’t exist on a planet without water.”

“And what’s so special about the water on this planet?”

“It’s rich in iron and other minerals, so we can use it to make more of the mixture in your injector, to replace the, um… l-leaked contents.”

“Well, what’s that?” Spinel asked, pointing to a small, shiny blue crystal poking out from a clump of moss they’d excavated. Apatite looked at it curiously, picking up the crystal.

“It appears to be a-“

Suddenly, a blue vortex appeared right next to Spinel and Apatite, and before either of them could react, they were both swallowed whole, and then the portal promptly closed.
————-————-————-————-
The Wilds - Cave
————-————-————-————-

Another vortex appeared in a cave that wasn’t on a planet familiar to either of the two gems. Unluckily for them, this was their destination, and they were both spit out onto the cold, stone ground, before the portal closed, stranding them.

Apatite whimpered as she lifted herself off of the ground, shaking a bit from what had just happened. Spinel, on the other hand, didn’t seem to have an issue shrugging it off- she was more concerned about where they were. Definitely not Homeworld or the planet they’d previously been on…

“What just happened…?” Apatite asked, sitting up and leaning against one of the cavern walls. Outside the mouth of the cave was a blanket of snow, the occasional tree decorating the environment.

Spinel’s face twisted into an infuriated glare as she clenched her fists. “I… don’t… know…” she said simply, a million of her own questions filling her head. She turned to look at Apatite, who was in the fetal position.

“What’s wrong with you?” Spinel asked her fellow gem.
“I don’t like being cold,” Apatite said, rocking back and forth.

Spinel looked out of the mouth of the cave. She slowly walked forward, before elongating one arm and touching the snow. Her arm instantly retracted.

“So that’s what’s making it so cold,” Spinel concluded, before turning back and walking back into the cave, sitting down beside Apatite. The blue gem didn’t appear to be doing too well, looking worn down. She hadn’t been joking- she definitely didn’t seem to do well at all in the cold.

“We need to get back to your ship,” Spinel told Apatite, leaning back as she tried to figure out a plan. Apatite closed her eyes.

“We’re going to have to go through the cold stuff,” Apatite shuddered, uneasy just at the thought of it. Spinel pondered their options for a moment, before coming to a decision. She stood up, before kneeling and picking Apatite up bridal style.

“There,” the pink gem said, and began to approach the mouth of the cave.
“B-But what if it’s too cold?” Apatite asked, trying not to panic.

“It’s a risk we have to take if we want to get back. Keep your eyes peeled for a blue shard,” Spinel replied, jaw clenched tight. She was still utterly pissed about how this had turned out, and it was taking every ounce of her courage not to have a meltdown and destroy everything and anything she saw.

And so, into the snow they went.

Palladium
————-————-————-————-
Far East, City of Mercy
————-————-————-————-

Palladium approached Silver the hedgehog and Blaze the cat very calmly, not acknowledging Blaze’s obvious hesitance. Once he was about thirty feet away, he spoke.

“Silver the Hedgehog, I’ll be darned,” the metallic man said, chuckling lightly. “I sure am lucky that you and Jet are still together after that incident back at the lab. I was worried your whole team would be scattered!”

He laughed. “You have no idea. God predicted that you two would be in different universes. Gotta say, this is a pleasant surprise.”

He was clearly focused on Silver, not even glancing at the cautious Blaze.

Mission:

· Infiltrate IMC facility

· Obtain IMC bioweapon

· Escape and destroy the facility

“You got a plan, BT?” Jack Cooper stood next to BT-7274, looking down at the IMC Facility next to a lake of toxic gas, it was said they’d been working on a bioweapon. “Their numbers seem to be focused mainly in the hangar, if we are to take down the supports, the hangar will fall, and then we can move through the facility to the bioweapon’s theorised location, the 6-4 will be on standby if we need help.” BT had spent the trip there planning. “Sounds like a plan, wait, what’s up with the thrusters on your heel?” Jack had just noticed the small thrusters on BT’s heels that seemed to have just appeared. “They give me the ability to jump rather high distances, we can get a vantage point and decide what to do next.” As Jack boarded BT, he began scaling a tall rocky formation. Once they got to the top, BT marked a spot in the gas lake on his HUD, sharing it with the 6-4 “Move in and fire on the marker, there is a pocket of highly concentrated explosive gasses, it seems that the entire lake may be explosive though.” A weaponised Crow moved in, firing on the marked spot as BT braced for impact. The explosion tore through the floor, collapsing three quarters of the hangar floor, multiple unmanned titans fell through the floor, most of them being torn apart, but some had survived, ranging from almost destroyed to near perfect condition, that was until the ground collapsed, causing them to plummet down into a large cave system. As explosions and debris came from the cave, the wall BT was holding on to was damaged, causing it to crumble and forcing him to jump. As BT leapt, he used his thrusters to propel himself, just barely being able to grab the ledge and pull himself up.

“Are you ok, Pilot?” BT said to Jack, after what had happened, it wouldn’t be hard to believe he had been knocked unconscious or worse. “Yeah, BT, I’m good, I’m just gonna assume that was meant to be easier, and less painful” As BT looked around, he noticed multiple titans torn to shreds scattered across the remaining parts of the hangar, one that was merely an arm and a body grabbed BT’s leg, the cockpit emitting a faint orange glow, it was clear that the cockpit was overheating, slowly killing the pilot. BT could not jeopardize the mission for a simple IMC grunt. After stomping it off, he continued through the hangar, prying the door open, He was met with bullet fire and dozens of scientists running for their lives, firing off a missile pod, he killed most of the IMC grunts attempting to take him down, gunning down the others, blood lined the walls once he finished. The only way to get to the weapon would be to pass through the lab, and so, he began walking, the hallways were surprisingly quiet, not a single titan, and only a few people cowering in fear, BT left them. “I am unable to scan the area, it is possible that the facility has blocked scanning technology and radio communication used by units that are not white listed, as I am unable to communicate with the 6-4, we must continue on alone,” as he said that, he stopped at the door to the room just before the lab, unable to open it as the controls had been smashed, he could hear voices on the other side of the door, he knew there was likely a titan or two, however, if he just pried the door open he would likely be destroyed, he couldn’t take that chance, but there was a small rectangular gap that a pipe of liquid nitrogen ran through, if he could get a rocket to make an opening in the pipe on the other side he could pry the door open while they were distracted, and it would likely freeze some of the IMC Grunts, however, he didn’t know how much liquid nitrogen was traveling through the pipes, so he could flood the room if he was not careful. A well-placed rocket and the pipe burst, screams could be heard coming from the other room, BT jammed his hands in between the doors and pried it open, the light his eye gave off shone through the massive amounts of fog, creating a terrifying image, he was nothing more than a legend to most, believed to have died during the battle on Typhon, but now that he was back, he was like a harbinger of death, wherever he appeared, everything was left in ruins, it was almost like his core and chassis were strengthened, as he could handle mass amounts of damage and take down teams of titans within the same battle. As he dashed forward he fired at one of the titans, who was occupied by the screaming coming from the grunts, who would not survive much longer, grabbing it by the cockpit and tearing it open, he crushed the pilot and then used the titan as a shield, firing off rockets at one titan and firing his gun at the other, the rockets had make holes in the titan’s cockpit, the pilot had decided that he was of no use, as one of his hands had been blown off, and the other had been severely damaged, he must’ve decided to detonate while up close with BT. As he charged him, BT threw the titan’s corpse, knocking the other titan over, he punched the ruined cockpit a few times, denting it, then tearing the titan’s core out, crushing it, without the core the titan was useless, but he could still detonate, and as BT heard the tell-tale sound of the titan’s chassis heating up, he threw them at the other titan, the two exploding into scrap and metal. As he trudged through the Liquid nitrogen, he began to feel his legs start to cool, yet managed to make it to the second last room, the lab, he couldn’t hear anybody, it was likely that they were all guarding the core. Opening the door, he found multiple titan-sized tools, such as a grappling hook and a wrist blade, he smashed the glass they were behind and grabbed the grappling hook, it melded to his arm, this likely wasn’t a final design, but it seemed to have thrusters on it, likely to reach further, they seemed to go both ways, and along with that were multiple refills, oddly enough the thrusters seemed to be rather powerful, if 50 or so were attached to the back of a ship, it could likely break the sound barrier, although, it’d be a small ship, like a Crow, but this did make him wonder if automated homing missiles were possible using crows, something to punch a hole in an IMC ship after it had left the atmosphere, he’d have to bring some back for research, he connected the container they were stored in to his waist. The wrist blade was something different, it wasn’t solid, it was made out of some form of plasma, likely used for cutting doors open, this could be useful, it was highly unlikely that he’d be able to be stealthy, but if he could pull a titan towards him using the grappling hook he could also stab them. There were a few more things that he had picked up, an attachment that was capable of unscrambling signals, remote explosives and a cloak.

He activated the cloak and opened the door, he knew where everybody had gone, somehow his scanner missed the large ship in a massive open hangar, he saw the bioweapon being loaded onto the ship, multiple titans were guarding the bioweapon, it appeared to be a blue crystal suspended in a glass orb being held up by metal , blue electricity was either coming from it or going into it, he got a closer look, careful not to step on any IMC Grunts or alert them, he managed to get close before the door to the shuttle began to close. “BT, we need to get on that ship, now!” Jack called out, BT stepped forward, accidentally crushing one of the grunts, the others turned and then began shouting out about an infiltrator and firing at each blood covered footprint made by BT running forwards, “Shit! BT, now!” BT shot the grappling hook; it caught a rail on the outside of the ship and pulled him onto it. The ship launched in a hurry; they had no idea if the intruder had boarded the ship yet, but over the intercoms he heard “This facility will self-destruct in 60… 59… 58… 57… 56… 55…” Yet as the ship’s engines powered up even more the countdown was drowned out. The ship raised itself up and blasted off, BT struggled to hold on during the first 30 seconds, but after that managed to climb around the ship to the door the facility self-destructed as soon as he reached the door, placing down a few explosives at each corner. The ship continued to speed ahead; it was now near exiting the atmosphere. BT got far enough away and detonated the explosives, sucking almost everything in the hangar out, scanning every individual item at near light speed. He crawled in and grabbed the bioweapon that was secured to the wall by a locking mechanism, accidentally pressing a button when steadying himself, it didn’t come off the wall though. A single titan opened the door to the hangar, grabbing BT’s ankle. The crystal began glowing a vibrant blue as lighting pounded the glass. A lightning bolt broke the glass and struck the two titans, causing BT to stumble back. The two fell out of the hangar, plummeting towards the Earth, BT used his thrusters to ram into the enemy titan, but it grabbed him and swung him around, “6-4, we need backup right now, we’re currently freefalling, we are going to FUCKING DIE if you don’t do anything.” “Davis here, on it coops!” This titan looked similar to one of the ones he had seen in the lab, but they wouldn’t keep just one, would they? The ship could likely fit nearly a thousand titans inside of it. He spun around in the air using his thrusters. “BT! I need you to give me the controls!” “Affirmative, passing controls to pilot.” BT quickly gave controls to Jack, who then grappled the enemy titan, reeling himself in and kicking it right in the core. Jack ejected himself from BT’s cockpit “BT, hand me an explosive and then grapple onto him, do not reel him in, got it?” “Understood, pilot.” BT handed Jack an explosive and then grappled onto the titan, just as he did, Jack grabbed the Grappling hook, taking him directly to the enemy titan, he climbed onto it’s back , wedging the explosive between the cockpit door and the body. “Pilot, this violates protocol 3.” “I know, BT! Reel me in and then detonate!” BT obeyed and reeled the grappling hook back in, over the radio he could hear the enemy titan speak over the radio “You’re a fool, Jack Cooper, your titan is outdated, the IMC will usher in a new age and the Militia will be destroyed, You can kill as many titans as you want, but we’ll always be here, watching… this is the beginning of the end.” The enemy titan pulled out the explosive “You’re smart, Jack, I’ll give you what much.” he began fiddling with it before a holographic screen appeared , he then began pressing buttons “I’ll see you in hell, the pair of you.” The explosive then detonated. From the ship 6 Northstar titans emerged, they were modified like Viper’s. “Destroy the Vangua-” One of the pilots was cut off by a rocket from a Crow being fired at it, BT saw the 6-4, they had finally arrived, positioning themselves below BT. The two collided “Glad you showed up, get us to that ship, we’ll cover you.” Jack said over the radio. “Got it.” As the crow flew closer to the ship BT fired rockets at the Northstars in an attempt to stop them from taking down the 6-4 “Ok, we’re getting closer, you’re gonna have to jump for it, got it?” “Understood, jumping in 3… 2… 1... “ BT jumped, grabbing the ledge and pulling himself up, he then quickly grabbed the crystal from the glass, but the ship began shaking. BT was knocked out once more, he then saw what was shaking the ship, a massive Northstar titan had emerged from a large hole in the bottom of the ship, It moved towards BT, the crystal in his hand began to glow as it opened a massive portal, the giant Northstar titan grabbed BT as they both passed through the portal, it closing right behind them.

Goblin Slayer

“Get them out of here, I’ll hold these bastards off!” He yelled to Asta, he didn’t look like he was doing anything, perhaps he was knocked down, but he was dealing with goblins, a hobgoblin came up behind him, he turned around, swinging his sword at them, gutting it. “Filthy swine, you dare pillage and plunder innocent people, rape women, leave children traumatized, I WON’T STOP UNTIL I’M DEAD, I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!” He shouted out, cutting goblins’ guts open and smashing skulls, picking goblins up and tearing them in half, using them to throw at other goblins, dismembering them, stabbing them, disfiguring them, lighting them on fire and throwing them if he was going to die, he wouldn’t go out without a fight. The Ogre saw him fighting back and decided to put an end to him once and for all. “You put up a good fight, human, but you are out-numbered, I’ll make sure to prolong their suffering, I will take your head as a trophy!” The ogre readied a fireball, as he waited it grew, and with that it grew hotter. Goblin slayer stabbed through Goblins and hobgoblins alike in an attempt to make a pathway out of there, he knew goblin blood was flammable, but he wouldn’t give up here, he continued his rampage, the pile of bodies grew, and so did the fireball, yet Goblin Slayer couldn’t make it out in time, the Ogre cast the fireball, and like a burning sun it collided with the goblins, a ground shattering BOOM rumbled as all of the goblin blood ignited, causing an explosion, Goblins, Hobgoblins and Goblin Champions were strung out across the floor, their charred corpses creating an awful smell, yet within all of the fire, a small red flame could be seen, and this flame grew in intensity, Goblin Slayer wasn’t done yet, he let nobody roll the dice and wouldn’t go out because of a puny ogre, he had unfinished business, and he would finish that before his body would even consider death, he was THE GOBLIN SLAYER

Slugcat
The small creature moved through the pipes, his lizard not too far behind, he needed food before the rain came, and knew where to find some berries, he’d be lucky if he could bring them with him, but he knew if he moved fast enough he’d make it there with some time to spare. He walked through an open field, it would be nice if there weren’t vultures swooping him every 3 minutes, but his lizard would be able to help him if he needed it. He travelled across small puddles, creeping past Daddy Long Legs, being careful not to make a noise, he outmanoeuvred the occasional lizard, all for a few berries, but they would be worth it in the end, he knew that much at least, maybe he’d find a centipede he could eat, but his chances weren’t looking good, either way, the berries were something he knew were there, so he knew the trip wouldn’t be for nothing. After a while and a few distractions, he made it there, lodging his spear in the ground, grabbing two berries, eating them and then grabbing another one and picking up his spear again, but something felt weird, his lizard was gone, he almost never left his side, but it then jumped down, surprising him. It had a weird looking rock in its mouth, Slugcat grabbed it, before a portal opened, his lizard managed to hold on to a pole, but Slugcat managed to get his spear into the ground… it was just barely loose, causing him and his spear to fall through the portal, Slugcat was knocked unconscious on impact with the ground.

Jamie (And goofball)
“Alright, we should get going I guess, if we spend any longer sitting around I’ll probably kill myself, at least g-“ Jamie was cut off as an obnoxious honking noise came from behind him “I swear to fucking god if I turn around and I see Goofball I will actually strangle him to death.” Jamie turned around and was face to face with Goofball, who he thought was gone for the longest time “Guess who’s back!” “God fucking damn it! Fucking end me! Son of a-” “Those are no-no words, you can’t say them, think about the children! Namely the small 15... wait hey kid are you 15 or 20?” Goofball asked Rex “Because you have those weird thoughts about the girl and you’re either a horny teen or a depressed loser who lives in a cheap apartment, A or B amigo?” He said, a faint laugh track audible after “Goofball have you been here this entire time?” “In some form, yeah, I’ve been in that dude’s head and he’s sorta a loser if I’m being honest, like, worse than you, and that’s saying a lot.” Another laugh track could be heard, this one a bit louder than the last. “Yeah, I should probably stop making fun of him, I mean, we don’t want another you roaming this hellish planet, do we?” A third laugh track could be heard, this one was much louder than the last few “Ok goofball, I get it, I’m a loser and so is this kid, funny joke, now can you shut up or hopefully die?” “Woah woah woah, let's not get aggressive now, I mean… Wait isn’t that caveman from a movie or something?” Goofball pointed to Keda “Actually, yeah, he is, isn’t he?” “Also, that dude looks like a character from that card gam-” “Goofball there are like... 500 card games” “No the one that had the weeb tv show.” “Pokemon?” “No, the one where the main character has the weird ass hair, Yagi?” “Yu-gi-oh?” “Yeah that” “He does look like he’d be from that world, you know the yu-gi-oh kid?” “Dude you know this guy is probably just a weeb right? He probably lives in his mother’s basement playing rhythm games for weebs like you.” “GOOFBALL NOW IS NOT THE TIME!” “Alright sheesh.”

Sans
Camelot - Training Grounds

His white pupils seemingly hovered within his sunken, dark eye sockets, staring almost jovially at the Saiyan as she wolfed her food down like a starving animal. Once she had swallowed down her decently well-proportioned meal, her eyes fell upon the skeleton who sat before her behind his hotdog stand, continuously grinning lazily at her, and she asked her simple question. Sans' grin seemingly widened ever so slightly as he let out a soft chuckle, shifting his weight on his feet as he blinked slowly.

"funnily enough, same reason you're here." He replied with a casual shrug. "just mindin' your own business, then poof. you're in wonderland, minus the wonder, bonus the land." He gave her a wink. "but if the question was less personal and more business-oriented, i can answer that too. see, i like to have money on me. of any currency i can get. that way, i'm financially prepared wherever i go. not only that, but i can afford whatever my brother wants. that's the walking bone business of the walking bone businessman."

The skeleton yawned. "i'd ask you for your story, kiddo, but i can already guess what it is just by lookin' at you." He paused, his grin shifting humorously. "bet you're a hairstylist." He joked, nodding slightly with a nudge of his head at her out-of-place hairstyle.

"anyway, been fun chattin' with you, but my legalized work break just came up and there's something i've been wanting to do, so i'll catch ya later, cauliflower." With yet another wink, the skeleton turned on his heel and walked swiftly, yet carelessly away.

Bro
Camelot Castle - Dormitories

He began to wonder...

How was Lil' Cal doing? He was probably fine, put up on the shelf in his and Kiran's room, waiting for Dirk's return. Cal was so cool. It took Bro a solid moment to recognize that Kiran was talking to him. Asking him specific questions to Bro's abilities. Questions the Strider brother didn't honestly know the answers to. He was born with these gifts as far as he was aware. He'd used them for as long as he could remember. Had he trained? Hell yeah, he had. His sick martial arts didn't come with the body. His skills took years of practice and passion, things his abilities didn't require. They were natural, fluid, and simple. As easy to learn as walking. He was a pro in the second year of his life.

His... life...

Something felt extremely odd about that portion of his memories. Something felt... artificial. Something felt... wrong. What was it? he didn't know, but the longer he thought about it, the more it bugged him. He turned his shaded gaze upon Kiran, raising a white-blonde brow. "You wanna know my secret?" He asked, dropping his voice and tone low. This set the mood Bro desired for Kiran to feel. Mysterious, secretive, and special, all of which were simply an illusion, as the Strider brother was fucking with his new friend.

"I ate my vegetables every day," Bro stated firmly, voice dark and serious in a quiet undertone, his face as straight and unbroken as ever. Completely devoid of emotion, his mouth a thin line when not speaking, kamina shades glinting the sunlight shining in through the windows as the sun sunk lower and lower, the night fast approaching. "Especially broccoli and spinach. Ever heard of Popeye the Sailorman? That shit he does with spinach? That's all true, save for the visual effects. Nobody's body should morph like that, and if it does, you're super fucked."

Bro's walking pace slowed as he leaned closer to Kiran, voice dropping even lower. "I worked out every day. One-hundred push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, you name it. Then a three-hour jog at fifty miles-per-hour. That means one-hundred-fifty miles ran every day. That's just the morning routine, too. Then, you drink down three egg yolks. Make sure to wash it all down with a glass of warm milk."

All while he did this, he simultaneously strained his mind, pulling at old memories that just didn't want to resurface. The longer and harder he tried... the faker they felt. A growing suspicion of a fabricated life crept up his spine as his mouth continued on for Kiran like a motor, brain working even harder on something far less noticeable.

Then he heard a voice. Something small in the back of his mind whispering to him...

"You are us. We are one."

Artemis, Negan
Camelot Castle - Dining Hall

The bird. An act of total disrespect. Artemis had learned this trait from Joseph himself in their original confrontation earlier that morning. An act which involves pointing one's middle finger at the target they despise... at least she thought so. Clearly, she was doing it wrong as she she pointed her middle finger at Joseph for a solid second, earning looks of confusion from both her target, as well as the man clad in leather. She rolled her eyes and returned her attention to Serena just as the girl noticed what remained of the symbiote.

She opened her mouth to reply, but was interrupted by a loud cry.

"SHIT!"

Negan stomped through the hole in the wall and marched toward the shrieking symbiote as it dwindled down under the dosage of flame, and before anything more could be done or said, it was...
Gone.

Negan stared at the scorched stone ground for a moment and brought his hands up to the back of his head in agitation. "Fuck fuck fuck..." He muttered under his breath, before looking about at those around him. He was causing a scene, and if Venom had apparently acted out, resulting in this mess...
He'd need to explain himself.

"Sorry." he sighed, lowering his arms and gulping. "Just... didn't realize he'd cause trouble. He never did for me, and after I got knocked out, I guess..." He paused. He was usually pretty good at improvising, but if for whatever reason he was taken in for association with Venom, not to mention having hid the symbiote until now...

SG-1
Camelot Castle - Throne Entrance

"So that's what caused this... 'sleep wave'..." Daniel muttered to himself, the four members of SG-1 stood by the entrance into the throne room, having just watched a well-dressed, quite eccentric man walk by them accompanied by a guard, who was now walking back through the hallway from the throne room. "Get a load of this nutjob." Jack scoffed, staring at Speedwagon ludicrously, just loud enough for... well, everyone in the general vicinity to hear.

"I think he's charming." Sam replied casually, watching the interaction in the throne room intently as Daniel continued to mutter to himself behind them, Teal'c silently by himself beside the trio of humans, watching Speedwagon make his introduction with mild interest, his face betraying little to no emotion.

Jack slowly turned his head to look at Sam, glaring at her incredulously. After several moments of silence, he appeared to physically cringe as he repeated her word. "Charming? This guy is the man equivalent to a waitress talking way too sweet to you as she takes your order."

Sam smirked slightly at Jack's words, but said nothing, opting to pay more attention to the interaction within the throne room instead.

"Hm... Charming wouldn't exactly be my choice of word."

The deep, scratchy voice behind the four made three of them jump, Teal'c simply raising a brow and calmly looking over his shoulder toward the speaker, who leaned against the wall, glaring past them into the throne room, arms folded, bandana covering his forehead and eyebrows, an ever-present glare plastered on his face.

"Please never do that." Daniel gasped at Snake, eyes wide, red in his cheeks as he was flustered from the temporary scare. Snake didn't reply to Daniel, instead letting his stern gaze fall upon Sam.

"Charismatic is the term I'd use."

Sam frowned. "That's... in the same category as charming."

"No it isn't." Snake replied stubbornly. "He's charismatic like a businessman."

"So businessmen can't be charming?" Sam raised a lone brow, and Snake pushed himself from the wall. "No..." He replied after a moment's hesitation.

"Can you two stop? I'm trying to listen." Jack huffed in agitation at Snake and Sam, the latter of which gave her commanding officer a funny look, but fell silent regardless as Snake grunted, and leaned against the wall once again, pulling out a thick cigar with a lighter to boot.

Darth Vader
Atlantic Ocean

The Sith Lord turned his gaze to the android's opening chest, revealing what he desired. "The Convergence crystal..." He stated, and raised an arm. As he did so, the crystal moved away from the robot, drifting toward Vader as he stared at it. The answer to his greatest desire. The only way he could possibly get Padme back...
He was tired of his master's empty promises. He'd seen it for himself, not even the dark side could bring Padme back. At least not in the way he desired. He wanted her as she was before... He wanted to be there for the birth of his child. He would return to Palpatine and destroy him, and with all of this...

He and his child would rule the galaxy, with Padme by his side.

With that, he grasped the crystal firmly in his fist, knowing the contact would activate it. Activate, it did. A blue rift tore open between the individuals, and both were pulled through, leaving the ocean far behind...

Carolina
Medina - Saudi Arabia

"Those 'sissy rocks' just crushed half my squad!" Carolina shouted at Ogremon as she herself made it past the rubble by leaping over it all, twirling about mid-air to fire rapid-fire bursts of super-heated plasma projectiles from her plasma rifle, and swiftly landed on the other side of the alley. "We need to keep moving, or we'll-"

"Goin' so soon? Party's just gettin' started." A voice boomed through the city, cutting off Carolina as a Pelican swerved around the corner, drifting heavily toward the group as the wings seemed to open up on the bottom, releasing a barrage of large missiles, which soared overhead, barreling into a building, annihilating the foundation. "Hop on board, ladies and gentlemen. We ain't runnin', we're just gettin' an advantage. Hurry up!" Johnson's voice boomed out of the UNSC dropship as it lowered, the back ramp flipping mechanically into a ramp to allow the team to hop aboard as a turret mounted on the nose of the Pelican revved to life with a rapid rotation, and began firing heavy rounds into more oncoming flood forms as the ruined building began to fall.

"Hurry." A large reptilian alien leaped from the dropship, wielding a customized and fully operational Covenant Carbine, firing with steady precision into Flood forms the Pelican seemed to miss. "Holy smokes, Arbiter. We heard you were dead, man!" The unnamed Marine laughed, stopping in front of the Snagheilli warrior, who stepped to the side. "Get aboard the shuttle, human. Now!" He ordered as the rest of the group approached the Pelican, Carolina bringing up the rear.

Miranda, Rebium
UNSC Horizon - Reach Space

Bullets slugged rapidly into the combat form's mid-section. The ballistic projectiles appeared to be absorbed as the fleshy soldier continued to race toward the Commander, who narrowed her eyes down the iron sights of the SMG. She fired again, the flood form closing in dangerously fast- before dropping with a wet thud on the metal floor, her bullets having popped the infection form lodged in the chest of what was once a living human being. "Rebium, how you holding up?" She called to her brute partner through her comms. There was a moment of silence in which she took the opportunity to swiftly reload her weapon.

Rebium finally replied, his tone loud and panicky, his voice coming in first as a roar.

"RRRRAAAAAGH!!!"

Miranda cringed at the eruption of noise in her earpiece. "Rebium!?"

"Move on without me, human." His voice growled through the comm. "I've... I... augh... arughaaaaaAAAAAGHHHHH!!!" With that, his line went dead. "Damnit." Keyes growled, standing up angrily. She'd just lost her only ally. As shaky as their new alliance and partnership was, he'd been a valuable and useful soldier.

Now, she had one thing on her mind. Getting off this ship. She was so close to the launch bay, she could snag an escape pod and make her way to Reach. Her plan with Rebium had gone haywire, obviously. His decision to split up had clearly been a fatal mistake, and if she failed to make it off the Horizon...

"This one's for you, dad." She growled, tucking the SMG against her hip and whipping the M90 Shotgun off her back, pumping it, the sound of the shells loading sounded in satisfaction. With that, the Commander raced head-strong down the hall, making her way to an automated door, still unlocked. She wouldn't allow what happened to her father to happen to her. Not even two months ago he'd been alive. Then the shit with Halo happened, and he wound up as one of these... things.

She couldn't allow this fate for herself. She wouldn't.

UNYIELDING

The door slid open quickly as she charged through the now open entrance into the hall beyond, finally arriving in the launch bay, the hallway lined with a multitude of escape pods.

Something else occupied the hallway with her. A total of four combat forms, and a dozen or so infection forms, seemingly having been waiting for her as they all simultaneously charged for her, snarling and screaming, each armed with UNSC weapons, a combination of Magnums and Assault Rifles.

The Commander dropped to a knee, quickly aiming the Shotgun as poorly-timed bullets fired over her head, and she released a shell into the nearest combat form. Its body was ripped in half, the infection form hosting the body erupting in a small shower of flesh over the metallic floor. The Shotgun had a total of twelve rounds. Twelve shots to make count, and now she was down to eleven.

She pumped the action handle, and fired again, dropping a second combat form just as the last two reached her.

Thinking on her feet, Miranda rolled forward, pumping the shotgun, and yanking her SMG off her thigh. She aimed the barrel of the M90 at the combat form, blowing it to pieces as she aimed the opposite way with the SMG, firing the automatic weapon into the crowd of infection forms lightly and eagerly crossing the hall for her. The majority popped as the bullets shredded into them. Knowing she didn't have much time to spare she charged toward the remaining infection forms as the last combat form swung its whip-like arm at her. She'd moved in time, and the whip only hit her shotgun, launching it out of her hand and slamming it into the wall. Using both hands, she fired desperately into the remaining infection forms, clearing them just as her clip emptied, and the final combat form leaped for her.

That had been the last clip in the SMG, which was now useless. She quickly tossed it aside as she dove forward, narrowly avoiding the combat form as it slammed onto the floor where she'd just been milliseconds prior.

Miranda glanced behind her, past the flood form at her shotgun, which lied at the other end of the hall. She could either attempt to get to it and finish the combat form with her remaining nine shells, or utilize the frag grenade on her waist. Just one...

She'd need it later. If she was quick on her feet, she could reach the M90, which is exactly what she did as the combat form charged for her, angrily swinging its whip, which she ducked under, narrowly avoiding getting her head knocked off her shoulders. Breathing heavily, sweat drenching her uniform and running down her face, the Commander charged down the hall as fast as she could go toward the Shotgun.

The combat form let out a terrible shriek as it recognized her motives, and picked up a weapon lying on the ground, chasing after her, lifting the gun to aim it at her, and it pulled the trigger.

Nothing happened as the Shotgun was swept up off the ground and back into Miranda's arms. The weapon the combat form had tried using had been her discarded SMG. With that, she fired the Shotgun, blasting a hole through the combat form's chest.

It dropped dead, and the hallway fell silent. A moment was given to the Commander, who let out a sigh of relief. That had been far too dangerous, but as the saying goes, desperate times call for desperate measures.

She started making her way toward the nearest escape pod, Shotgun hanging limply at her side- before a loud bang rang through the air, stopping her in her tracks. Another bang sounded, the source coming from the locked door down the other side of the hall, which was bending and twisting, being bashed open. "Shit." She gasped, and raced into the escape pod, jumping into the pilot's seat, activating the vessel as the sound of metal ripping tore through the air. She knew what it was. The only thing it could have been.

Rebium, now under the control of the Flood.

The escape pod hatch closed with a hiss, and after pressing a few more buttons, Miranda was shoved against the back of her seat as the escape pod shot forward, detaching from the Horizon and speeding faster than a bullet into open space, headed for the surface of Reach.

The Commander wiped a bead of sweat off her face with her sleeve, glancing behind her through the viewport of the door -hatch, watching as the Horizon continued to be pummeled by plasma cannons and MAC rounds.

"This is Commander Miranda Keyes to Reach surface. Does anybody respond, over?" She asked, pulling the onboard radio to her mouth. She only got static in reply, watching as the planet neared.

A lone Covenant ship hovered over its surface, undoubtedly flood-controlled, obviously aiming to infect the last planet.

Cpl. Fisk, Fred, Linda, Kelly
ONI Delta Station - Reach Surface

"Damnit!"

Fred slammed his fist into the steel wall, his fist making a noticeable dent in the thick material. Fisk had to guess it was at least a foot thick, and this spartan had just...

"Getting mad won't help anyone," Kelly informed her teammate. "We have our orders. Place the charges and blow the base to hell. With or without her."

Fred paced in frustration in front of the door leading into ONI Delta Station, his movements quick and agitated, his face hidden from view beneath his agitation, but it was clear he was thinking, processing their next course of action. "She'll make it," Linda informed the pair. "We've arrived earlier. Give her about ten minutes. All we need to worry about is defending this position until then."

"Regardless, those charges need to be set," Kelly replied, pulling an explosive from her utility belt. "A little help would be appreciated." She directed at Fred, who let out a deep sigh. "Right."

Fisk simply sat on the uncomfortable concrete bench in front of ONI Delta Station, watching the spartans interact. He was delirious, being dehydrated and having used up so much adrenaline... He was exhausted. He needed sleep, and he wouldn't be much good in any given situation in his current state. Without so much as a word, the Marine slumped onto his side, finding the concrete bench to be unbelievably comfortable.

"This... Key... Reach surf... pond, over?" A female voice crackled in over the Spartan's comms, all of which who looked at one another. "Was that Keyes?" Linda asked, but got no answer as Fred immediately responded. "This is Sierra One-Zero-Four, we read you, Commander. What's your status?"

Dr. Halsey, Chief Mendez
ONI Delta Station - Reach Underground

The trio darted through various halls, and just when it seemed they were nearing their destination, Mendez averted their path, noises being heard ahead. Halsey continually glanced at Mikhail, her piercing gaze slowly transforming from suspicious to curious. She obviously knew he wasn't native, but she wasn't sure just how exotic this child was.

"One last shot..." Mendez muttered as the group rounded a corner into another cold, dark hallway. At the end of it sat a welcoming elevator, and not a sound could be heard apart from their ragged breathing. "Let's move." Mendez ordered, taking off at a sprint, still holding his rifle at the ready.

At that moment, the sound of an ear-splitting scream echoed around them. It wasn't a scream of fear, or of pain. It was inhuman... distorted... gargled and terrifying. Halsey paled, which was strange, as her skin was already almost paperwhite to begin with. "Run!" She yelled as the sound of thundering footsteps could be heard behind them.

The Flood had found them.

Atriox, YapYap, Vaga 'Sadum
The Ark - Open Space

Almost three-hundred thousand lightyears away from the outer-reaches of the Milkyway Galaxy sits a massive Forerunner installation with a diameter of nearly eighty-thousand miles. It appears like a flower of sorts. A large hole in the center with eight branching arms, or petals. The front side withholds a livable and comfortable atmosphere, covered in sprawling forests, vast oceans, and towering mountains. In the center of this massive construct is where the Halo rings are re-constructed upon the destruction of an existing one, an official replacement.

The Ark. It holds the secrets no Halo ring could ever provide, with the function of activating all Halo rings on a galactic scale. It was located so far outside of the Milkyway in order to avoid the Halo blast radius, as the Ark was designed as a vessel of life, and once contained every species in the galaxy on it. Once it decided that the Flood no longer existed, it sent all of its species to their homeworlds to rebuild and repopulate the brand new galaxy.

"The Forerunner were foolish," Atriox grunted, his much smaller Unggoy companion at his side, both staring out of a window at the massive Ark. "If you want a job done right, do it yourself."

"What job?" YapYap asked in confusion, to which Atriox let out an annoyed sigh. "Nothing you should be concerned with." He growled, the urge to wrap his massive hands around the creature's throat and rip out its esophagus was overwhelming, but he held it back for now. "he Ark was nearly destroyed by the humans and the Covenant during their brief time here. It no longer has its original activation functions." He stated. "But... it still contains a galactic cartographer. With this map, we can locate any other Halo rings, lure all of the Flood there, and destroy the parasite once and for all.

"Yeah... me gots cold feet now," YapYap stated, turning around. "Where do you think you're going?" Atriox asked, his grip tightening on his personal weapon, Chainbreaker. YapYap let out a chuckle, stopping near the exit. "Methinks it is better to let you brutes do all the fun stuff. I go to celebrate Gruntmas."

Atriox growled, before whirling around on his heel, swinging chainbreaker heavily and quickly.

The unggoy didn't have a chance to react as his head was burst apart by the weapon, and his body slumped to the ground, twitching.

The Banished leader let out a satisfied sigh, rubbing his temple. "Sangheili, clean up this mess." He barked toward an Elite near the wall, shrouded in the shade, who clicked his mandibles in reply and agitation. Vaga 'Sadum had been a noble warrior days prior, now here he was. A janitor for the traitor Atriox.

Keymind, Cortana
Open Space

"Time continues to infinitely turn,
There is only victory in demise.
You will experience true redemption,
And we shall become eternally one."
"Your great love for him is grossly misplaced,
Flawed are your emotions, don't be consumed.
Sanctuary awaits your arrival,
Else forever you shall be condemned here."

The harrowing voice echoed through the digital databanks of what made Cortana's mind, drilling deep into her. For so long now had the Gravemind poked and prodded at her with his methods of torture, things she never thought possible. Nothing in Halo's databanks had warned her of this. There was no way she could have prepared.

She needed a way out. She needed John. Yet somehow, the Gravemind had figured her out. John was now a target on her. He could be used to damage her.

The Logic Plague was consuming her. How long had she been here... she didn't know. She just wasn't sure of anything anymore. Her timescale was out of whack, her sensory modules were going haywire, and whatever the Gravemind was doing, she could experience full... physical pain. Something no AI should even be capable of.

If anybody could save her and stop the Flood... she knew only he could.

"John..."

"The vague delusions of the Forerunner,
Salvation they sought, yet did not obtain.
For in the end, their suffering procured,
Their efforts vain, for my will still remains."
"The struggle flesh tries and fails to conquer,
I march onward, offering unity.
Peace, tranquility, all shall receive here,
Expose your secrets, and be rewarded."

Master Chief, Ant-Man, Hank Pym, Luis
Specter's Ship - Krak's Laboratory

"Cortana..." John muttered, brow furrowing as he turned around, looking toward the entrance into the laboratory/shuttle/whatever the hell it was. The door was closed, Doomslayer, Hiro, and Hunter dealing with the three enemies. He wanted to help them, and it was obvious they weren't following his order. If they failed, he and Hope were a last line of defense. He thought he'd heard her voice...

"Chief..." His eyes widened as he saw a flash of blue. So brief he almost missed it. Her face, staring at him from in front of the door. "Something wrong?" Hank's voice asked the Spartan, who didn't respond, walking toward the door, senses on high alert, eyes darting about.

Hank, Scott, and Luis were all awake and functional now. Pym and his daughter had just rebooted Cutman, who was up and about, talking and asking questions, concerned for Elecman. Hank looked at his daughter, sharing a look before Luis spoke up. "Oh, I think I know what's going on."

"How would you know?" Scott asked, frowning and looking at his friend, he let out a giggle, earning weird looks from everyone but John. Luis' face flushed. "Sorry." He muttered, then gestured to the Spartan. "Just a... big fan, you know?"

"So what's going on?" hank demanded impatiently. "He's seeing flashes of Cortana," Luis stated matter-of-factly. "The artificial intelligence he was forced to leave behind." He elaborated at the looks of confusion in the room. "See, on High Charity in Halo 2-"
"Not." Scott quickly shouted, silencing Luis, giving him a look. "Not now."

John continued to ignore the others, slowly raising his arm, curiosity ebbing away at him, slowly and patiently waving his hand where he'd seen Cortana. Nothing happened, and he wasn't sure what he expected.

Nothing, probably.

Doomslayer
Specter's Ship - Pipotron Chamber

Flynn grunted as his weakened arm began to sting painfully, still not fully recovered from its literal snapping in half earlier. The vacuum of space was far more powerful than most things, and as powerful as the Slayer was, he couldn't hold on against it forever. The hole needed to be plugged. "Hunter." He growled loudly. "Grab onto something."

He gave the man a second, before releasing his hold on the ground, and hurtling toward the puncture in the ship, drawing his arm back, and plunging it into the ground, piercing through the titanium and using his momentum to rip a sizable chunk of metal out. By some form of luck, this sheet of titanium was just the size to cover the hole- barely.

Hurtling through the air, Flynn was quick to position the sheet accordingly, and slammed into the wall, denting the sheet that now covered the hole as the vacuum stopped abruptly, and the Slayer fell to the ground, landing with a heavy thud on his boots. He looked up toward Hunter, the shotgun vanishing in a burst of fire and ash. "Let's get to the others." He said calmly, almost as though they hadn't been seconds away from being sucked into the vacuum of space.

Rick, Morty
Yharnam - Sewers

Out of a swirling green and blue vortex stepped two individuals, both of which the bounty hunter Ridler would have vaguely recognized, one more than the other. Morty brushed his arm off, and immediately plugged his nose. "W-w-what the hell, Rick?" He turned to his grandfather, who took a lazy swig of alcohol. "W-w-why are we i-in a sewer!?"

"Probably buuuh-because... cuz that guy. Is here." Rick replied, his tone heavy with boredom as he calmly raised a finger, pointing at the morphed Ridley.

"That isn't Ridley, Rick!" Morty cried. "Yeah, it is." Rick burped. "Y-you just w-wait and see what happens. Morty." He took another swig and started looking around the sewer, losing all interest in Ridley as Morty stared wide-eyed at the form Ridley currently took under the influence of the Omnitrix.

Vriska
Sequin Land - Mermaid Falls

Vriska smirked and grabbed Rotty's head, flipping it over. "That work?"
"Yep!" Rotty replied, and in a poof, she was suddenly standing in front of Vriska, completely whole. The Troll blinked in shock. "Oh. Wow. That was..."

"Fast? I know." Rottytops shrugged, before looking over Vriska's shoulder toward the Condesce, who had her back to them. It seemed she was talking with C. Vriska followed her gaze. "Oh. Hey, I dunno about you, but I feel like she's slowing us down."

"Why?"

"I mean, look at her. I'm not laying my jacket down for her if we cross a puddle, and she clearly is the kind of woman who expects that. Not to mention she's been a consistent bitch unless we're being totally badass. I just think it'd be better if we... moved on." Vriska shrugged, keeping her voice low and out of the Contessa's earshot.

Frisk
Far East - City of Mercy

The child gave the other a warm smile. "I have a feeling the others won't be back for a little bit." She stated, glancing at the exit into the open city. "Wanna go looking for them?" She asked. Outwardly, Frisk was trying to remain calm. Stoic. Kind. Pacifistic. It wasn't easy, that much was true. She was in a foreign land without her powers. She was a sitting duck just waiting to get shot and she knew it. If she was unable to defend herself against whatever next threat they faced, she doubted she'd be around for much longer.

That lead her thoughts to the underground. Home. She felt a sinking feeling in her stomach as she recalled searching the dark backyard and finding the dust of Mad Mew Mew. Papyrus and Sans both missing... she wouldn't doubt that the Doctor had some kind of involvement with it. Both of them would never just up and vanish. It was too random, convenient, and out-of-character for them. Perhaps they were trapped in this strange world like her. Maybe she could meet up with them. She'd feel much safer with the two of them at her side. With Papyrus' brawn and Sans' brain coupled with Frisk's nature and nurture, they were a practically unstoppable force of kindness- and violence if the need becomes dire enough.

Rick Grimes
Far East - Fenrir Base

Rick Grimes nodded in agreement and understanding to Kota's words, watching as Alisa marched out. He'd assumed as much about the girl. She acted brash, immature, and entitled, even. It'd be a chore working with her, but if she was as important as he'd just learned she was, Alisa was the best way he could get to repaying his debt as soon as possible. From everything he'd seen so far, this world didn't have much mercy. Probably even less so than his own. And this one had superpowered individuals.

As for waiting for an hour...
He was already ready and raging to go. He couldn't stand being cooped up any longer. With his quick healing and new rest, he felt almost invincible.

Though he knew not to let that go to his head.

"I should get going." Rick told the two boys, and walked past them, rubbing his paling beard as he went.

Jack Noir
Far East - Wasteland

Calm. Peace. Tranquility. Without a thing to do, and all enemies from miles in every direction having been obliterated, Jack found himself standing atop a butte, overlooking a sunset. It was... nice. He was always filled with such rage... such hatred... the ability to just calm down and take the world in was new for him. Exciting. Wondrous, even. Now if only some idiot could come along and screw that all up. He was dying to kill another person.

However, instead of a person, something else appeared in front of him. A short man with a white ball for a head, and a white and felt green suit, hands tucked neatly behind his back. Jack bared his canine fangs, snarling aggressively as he pulled his sword from his chest. "Now, now." Scratch chuckled, raising both arms head-high in a sign of surrender. "I'm not here to conquer you, Noir," Scratch stated. "However, I do require your assistance. I'm building a-"

Jack appeared behind Scratch, having dashed forward and slashed through the cueball's middle faster than any human eye could detect. If Scratch had eyes, jack was sure they'd be wide in shock and pain. Scratch seemed to stand still for a moment, holding his stomach, before keeling over and slumping to the ground, bits of pillow stuffing spilling of his stomach. He let out a pained groan, clutching at his wound. "You... fool..." Scratch muttered. Jack simply let out a scoff-like snarl, before dashing forward once again, striking-

And striking against a golden trident. The Condesce stood over Doc Scratch defensively, baring her teeth right back at Noir. While her fangs weren't nearly as long, they were most certainly sharper. Her dark eyes pierced into Jack as he surveyed her appearance, and come out with one solution.

This bitch was a queen. There was no way she wasn't.

He hated queens.

With another dash, Jack aimed to pierce the demon sword through the Condesce's mid-section, but only would up clashing against her trident again, which she twirled in a fluid moment, and slashed it across his face. A boom sounded as the strike launched Noir off of the butte at supersonic speeds, a set of three nasty, deep gashes now quite noticeable over his face. "No," Scratch grunted at the Condesce. "Can't... kill... yet..." He gasped out. "Take us... home..." He offered an arm toward the Condesce, his hand sparking with thick, green electricity. She was quick to take it, and in a flash of green, the two disappeared just as Jack slammed his blade into the butte, splitting it in half with an ear-shattering boom.

Upon seeing his enemies had vanished, Jack reared his head back, howling loudly as he stretched his black feathered wings as far as he could. They'd gotten away.

That was upsetting.

Gwen, Gordon
Goldenwalk - Streets

"See? We're all cool. Totally cool." Gwen assured, stepping toward the two. "Now can we-"
"Hey, guys. This the person?" X asked as he lowered, Gordon and Nathan letting go of his legs and dropping deftly to the ground. Gwen looked toward the three. "Oh, no. Meeting Bodega was an accident. See, he's sorta my archnemesis, but it's more like a uh... fun relationship. He robs hotdog stands and small stores for basically nothing with his pet, and... I'm getting way off track. The others are still that-a-way." She pointed with her thumb in the direction of the city. "We're close. I... don't think they've actually moved. At all. Maybe they're waiting for us, so... let's hurry?"

Gordon said nothing in reply as he took off his glasses, then pulled out a handkerchief and wiped some dirt from the lenses, before tucking the handkerchief away and placing the glasses back on his face.

Logan
Goldenwalk - Business District

Logan glared past her toward Spider-Man, who was now talking animatedly to Alina as he looked the inactive android over. He stared at the scene for a moment, before letting out an annoyed growl. "Fine. Whatever." He muttered, and plopped down on the curb with a wince, resting his arms on his knees as he sat, staring straight forward, clearly deep in thought, no doubt still concerned with ways to return home, and ways to take care of Charles.

He hated to admit it, but Logan was enjoying this. Despite everything, this new adventure was what he'd been waiting for. An opportunity to just fall on his lap. A call to adventure. He fit in so well despite trying to stand out and be alone. He attracted attention too easily, and he was at the age where he couldn't exactly blame it on good looks anymore.

"Got any snacks?" He asked Toph gruffly.

Chara, Flowey
Goldenwalk - Downtown

Chipping, chipping away. Even the most devoted could be swayed, Cecil was no different. Chara was doing her job well and she knew it. She could see it in his eyes. Her words were eating away at his beliefs. He was questioning himself. Questioning his leader. She was certain she'd gained an aspect of his trust, but she'd need to gain more. Influence was something Chara found useful and easy to obtain, but she'd never dealt with interdimensional empires before. Destroying Zeliyis... that would be interesting. Was she capable of it? Cecil certainly thought of her as far inferior to Zeliyis. How did he know, anyway? He'd made it clear that he barely knew the one he so blindly followed. Never personally witnessed power. He'd only heard tell of it. Similar to his standing with Chara. She'd spoken of her power, most of which was true, but he hadn't seen it first-hand.

Another thing worth noting was Cecil compared to Zeliyis' other commanders. She knew she would have more difficulty making someone like Scorpio question Zeliyis' power and influence. Elidocorc, meanwhile... he was a real brute. A lug. An easy target. She wanted something challenging, not easy like Elidocorc, not impossible like Scorpio. If she could continue to develop this personal relationship with Cecil, he'd be her stepping stone to power in the Zeliyis empire. Of course, she'd have to pretend to want to kiss his entitled boots like the rest of his followers, but she'd have to manage.

So many things to think about... so many things to plan... Her role in the empire was her upmost concern, but the girl she fought earlier... Toph... she would be an interesting pawn. Most certainly creative, resourceful, and powerful. Easily the most powerful of the entire group she was in. Which was ironic in a way, considering she was the youngest (android lifespans ignored). Then there was Flowey here. He knew her the best, and he was the most likely to betray her. He'd done so before. He'd always been too weak to see anything through to the end. He was fun to keep around for now, but she'd have to dispose of... him...

Her stomach twisted into an unpleasant knot again at the very prospect of losing Asriel. He was a burden on her, even now, but...

Deep down, she knew she couldn't rid herself of him. Beneath all of her exterior. All of her rage and hatred. All of her dark energy... she still loved her brother.

She quickly turned to something else to occupy her mind, her memories flitting over to the boy she'd nearly killed early. He'd been orphaned thanks to her, and she knew if he survived, it would somehow come back to bite her in the ass. She'd deal with it then, but leaving him to live had been a terrible decision. She wondered... where could he have gone to after?

Kyle Marbury
Goldenwalk - Battlefield

Six years old.

He was still just a little kid, confused, frightened and alone, scurrying down deserted streets and the ruins of alleys, searching for nothing, headed nowhere. He just had to keep moving. Why was all of this happening to him? What did he do to deserve this? His home, his family... gone. His face was stained with dry tears, and wet streaks were a constant since the terrifying girl had disappeared with the talking flower.

He nimbly climbed over a pile of rubble, avoiding a pit of fire raging to the side, and scrambled down it to the other side. His bottom lip trembled as he looked up, unsure of what he was doing.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you!"

Kyle smiled broadly, showing off his wide gap in his mouth. His two front teeth were still coming in, leaving the kid with a lisp. His mother and his father stood in front of him. Tall, wonderful, caring... his family. Kyle grinned at his father as the song continued.

"You smell like a monkey,"

Kyle was overcome with a fit of giggles as his dad quickly began to tickle his son, making Kyle shriek with laughter. "And you look like one too!"

"Honey, let him blow out the candles!"

"Oh, alright."

Kyle let out a happy sigh as his father ceased tickling him, and he leaned over the table toward the cake. Six candles sat atop the chocolate cake, lit with small flames. "Make a wish!" His mom urged, and with that, Kyle blew out the candles.

"What did you wish for, buddy?" His father asked, and Kyle grinned cheekily. "Can't say." He laughed.

He lost his footing, and stumbled forward, pushing his hands out in front of him to catch his fall. It worked, but with an oof, he slowly got back to his feet, hands now scraped up. Today was his birthday...

He'd wished for a new puppy.

What a waste.

He should have wished for his family to stay together.

A sudden boom echoed down the hall, making the boy jump in fear, eyes wide, small heart thumping as he looked to his left to see a trio of people taking cover, one nodding toward the alley he was in. They seemed almost... familiar...

With a sudden jolt of joy and hope, Kyle let out a sigh of relief. HeroSquad! They would save the day for sure! Somehow... they'd make mom and dad better, and beat up the evil girl and her flower.

Everything would be okay now.

Right?

W.D. Gaster
The VOID

"And this..."

Gaster followed his best friend through the doorway, and into a large metal room, completely empty. "Is your new laboratory."

Asgore smiled warmly at Gaster, who looked about with a gleam in his eye, a smile on his face. "Asgore, I... thank you." He looked toward his friend. "This means... so much to me."

"Better than that dusty old room in the Ruins, right?" Asgore's grin widened. His laugh lines were becoming more noticeable. Unable to speak another word, Gaster wrapped his arms around Asgore in a hug, reveling in shock as his best friend hugged him back.

The Doctor walked over to one corner of the room, analyzing it. "This. This here can be the neurotic phase analyzer. I have enough room for it to work... presumably enough power..."

"Thanks to your work on the CORE, we have limitless energy." Asgore stated with a nod. Gaster turned his gaze to another end of the room. "And here. Enough space for a functional work desk. A terminal of my own. Storage space for logs..."

"This isn't all of it." Asgore chuckled, and the Doctor froze. "This... isn't?" He asked, eyes widening slightly. Asgore hurriedly walked toward one of the walls, eager to show Gaster. "A secret door," Asgore smirked, and tapped a panel on the wall. A door that had been blending into the wall split open.

"The TRUE lab is this way."

Calmly, the Doctor stared through the screen, eyes narrowing, focused on a single individual. One who knew where a SOUL fragment of his had been hidden. "Maple..." Gaster muttered, coursing his words through the VOID itself. He knew she could hear him. Whether or not she chose to answer was up to her.

Doc Scratch, The Condesce, G-Man
English Manor

The Scratch Doctor winced as he sat in a comfy chair, leaned forward while the Condesce stood behind him, winding a needle about his midsection, weaving a stitch all the way through him. Another figure stood in the room, watching unblinkingly. Unmoving. Soundless.

"I thought you were smarter than this." The Condesce muttered to Scratch, who heaved out a heavy sigh. "He was emotionally and mentally vulnerable, and I posed no threat," he stated. "I... guess my judgment was off."

"You think?" The Condesce raised a brow, winding another stitch through him.

The man on the other side of the room carried a briefcase at his side, dressed in a well-tailored suit, and drew in a shuddering breath that would make the hairs on the back of most people's necks stand up. "If I may. Be so bold as to. Intrude." The G-Man spoke, taking two steps toward the pair. "I have. Returned with the. Subject." He drew in another shuddering breath, his gaze piercing into Scratch, who remained silent for a few moments.

"There." Condesce muttered, and Scratch immediately got to his feet, cringing as he did so, before grabbing a fresh new white suit jacket and pulling it on. "Let him in." He told the G-Man, who grinned awkwardly, and his gaze flitted toward the front doors of the mansion, which were flung open.

On the other side there stood Peter Quill, a tall and muscular man standing beside him. Quill had a large, bulky bag slung over his shoulder, and he appeared to be panting. "Back from your errands." Scratch welcomed Star-Lord back into the home. "So good to see you. And who is your companion?"

The large, burly man spoke before Star-Lord was even given the chance. "I am a T-850 Cyberdyne Systems Model 101." The man introduced. "I have been reprogrammed to perform any basic functions requested of me. Can I take your coats for you?" The Terminator smiled at Scratch. Well, 'smiled' was being generous, as he simply seemed to just bare his teeth emotionlessly at the Scratch Doctor. "No, that's what you say when a guest arrives." Peter muttered to the Terminator, who closed his mouth, staring at Quill without a single emotion expressed.

"A Terminator." Scratch stated. "You reprogrammed it?"

"Negative." The T-850 answered before Peter had even opened his mouth. "I was requisitioned by a criminal knows as Neil Oberski. Peter Quill requested I come with him."

"Go do the dishes or something." Condesce intruded on the conversation, her voice a bored drawl. "Affirmative." The Terminator gave her a nod, before walking by her and Scratch toward the other end of the room. "Wrong way." Condesce rolled her eyes as the T-850 pivoted on his heel, twirling about a full 180 degrees, and making his way out of the room.

The G-Man began to slowly exit, briefcase still clasped in his right hand as his left grasped his tie, straightening it. "I will be on. My way now. The other test subjects. Their time has. Arrived." G-Man grinned widely, and with that, stepped out of the mansion.

"So." Scratch clasped his hands together. "What artifacts have you dug up for me?" He asked Star-Lord.

Nick Fury, Batman
O.S.I.R.U.S. Tricarrier

So much had happened since the Combine invasion of Gotham City.

All was nearly lost. Not even the Batman could have stopped them all. If not for OSIRUS..

"I thought I'd seen everything." Bruce Wayne stated, standing at the window of his office, which took up the entire far wall, hands folded together behind his back as he looked out over his city. "Chemically altered supervillains... women who can control organic plantlife... even living wet clay." He sighed, rubbing his chin. "But... after the Combine... and you..."

He turned around to look at the black man standing in front of his desk, staring emotionlessly at him, one eye covered by a patch.

"It's a whole new world." Nick Fury stated. Bruce chuckled. "That's an understatement."

"We could use you." Fury placed his hands on Bruce's desk. "Not only a helping hand from Wayne Enterprises, but also the Batman." Bruce froze, narrowing his eyes. "How did you-"

"Bitch, please. I could see it immediately and I'm half-blind." Fury sighed, before shrugging. "I'm headed back to the Tricarrier. Got word of a crisis in a universe designated as 'HeroSquad'. Here's hoping it's not a kid's show." The Director of SHIELD spun on his heel and began to walk out.

"You'll have my financial support." Bruce called to him, and Fury stopped walking, back still to the caped crusader. "And of the Bat?" He asked. Bruce hesitated. "I... Gotham still needs its protector."

"I can station a battalion of my men here. They'll act on both my orders and yours. They're highly skilled. I'll even task a few of my up-and-coming superhumans here if it'll make you feel any better."

Bruce stared at Fury, frowning. "Fury, I... but the Batman is nothing like your superhumans." Nick smirked, looking over his shoulder at Bruce. "That is exactly why I need him."

------

The OSIRUS Tricarrier was a massive shuttle, towering over Gotham, shrouding nearly a fourth of the city in darkness. Inside, Bruce Wayne was unloading his baggage, assisted by an OSIRUS Agent. "Oh my God, this place is AMAZING!"
Bruce looked up from a suitcase toward his prodigy, Tiffany Fox. A young teen with caramel skin and frizzy black hair pulled up into a top ponytail, grinning around and staring in amazement at the advanced tech around her.

Tiffany was Bruce's new tech expert after the passing of her father, Lucius Fox, and the retirement of Bruce's long-time friend and family member, Alfred Pennyworth. Tiffany was exceptionally gifted, far more intelligent than Bruce could ever hope to be. Probably even beyond her late father.
Bruce had been given the option to bring her along with him, and upon his request she go with him, she was quick to jump at the opportunity.

"Sir, I'll take these to your quarters." The OSIRUS Agent informed Bruce as a man began to approach them. This man was wearing cloth and leather, a faded blue and white in color with lines of red detailing the star-spangled costume. A cowl covered his head, piercing blue eyes staring at Bruce from underneath. "Mr. Wayne." The man nodded to Bruce and stuck out his hand. The Batman took it and they shook, both grips firm. "Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" Bruce asked. The man smiled, his teeth almost shockingly white and straight, they almost looked fake. "Steve Rogers." He informed. "People like to call me Captain America. Follow me, Fury's waiting."

With that, Captain America turned around, leading Bruce and Tiffany, who eyes the man suspiciously, but her boss was certain he caught her eyes travel to the man's posterior a few times. "This guy for real?" She asked Bruce in an undertone. He almost laughed. "Tiffany. I dress like a Bat every night." He reminded her. "Fair." She shrugged, her gaze traveling to his rear once again.

------

"Welcome to OSIRUS." Cap said as the three walked through an automatic door big enough to drive a tank through. They entered the expansive bridge, at least a hundred OSIRUS crew members wandering about, performing various duties and tasks. "What does OSIRUS stand for?" Tiffany asked.

"Omniversal. Security. Intervention, and Ramification. Under. SHIELD." A man ahead of them stated as he turned around, staring at Tiffany, showing little to no emotion.

"What does SHIELD stand for?" Tiffany inquired.

"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division." Bruce replied immediately as Fury closed his eyes in annoyance at Tiffany's simple question. "Good to be here, Director." Bruce nodded to Nick. "This is my assistant, Tiffany Fox."
"Pleasure's all mine." Tiffany flashed a smile at the man, sticking out her hand. Nick simply stared at her, unamused until she put her hand down awkwardly. He then turned his gaze to Bruce.

"You got here just in time, Mr. Wayne. Reports coming off our agents in "HeroSquad". Something about a Zeliyis."
Bruce frowned, narrowing his eyes. "Zeliyis? Who's that?"
"We don't know." Director Fury stated, turning around to face the mass of windows that covered the front of the bridge. "We've been hearing rumors and echoes of that name for a long time. If he's in this world... maybe we'll finally stop him."
"Stop him?" Tiffany blinked. "What's he doing?"

"Conquering." Nick answered simply. "You either join or die, and the worlds we've tried to find... we've arrived too late. Seems the ones we've found always chose that latter, because there's never a survivor to tell us what went down."
"That's horrible," Bruce stated. "When are we leaving?"
"Now." Nick folded his hands behind his back. "Buckle your seatbelts. It's gonna be a bumpy ride."

"Where do we sit?" Tiffany whispered to Bruce. "He was joking." He replied, making the girl's jaw drop. "He jokes!?"

"Opening O.M.P." A crewman yelled.

In front of the massive Tricarrier, a vortex appeared, spinning slowly, indigo in color, enormous in size. The Tricarrier slowly slipped into it, the portal swallowing the vessel whole as it went.

In mere moments... they were gone.

Trevor Phillips
Los Santos

Los Santos was shrouded in a heavy blanket of darkness, the clouds obscured from view by a thick layer of storm clouds. Rain poured down on the city, occasional flashes of light touching down in the distance, followed by booming claps of thunder.
Cars drove carefully through the streets, lit up by billboards, advertisements, stores, homes, apartments, other vehicles and streetlights, of course.

One car in particular was acting far more erratic and spontaneous than the others, dangerously swerving around other vehicles in it's way, swerving onto the sidewalk ever now and so often, narrowly avoiding several rain-sodden pedestrians wandering about in their rain coats.
The car was sleek black, older model, with heavily tinted windows. The driver was practically invisible.

It took a heavy right turn, hydroplaning on the slick road, but maintaining its course and moving on, taking an exit to the interstate, making its way out of Los Santos, beginning to pick up speed.

Within minutes, the city was already far behind, and the car suddenly veered off the highway, going off-road, bouncing and shaking and rattling along as it climbed a muddy hill. It finally reached the top, and picked up even more speed as it started heading for the coast line.
Once the car reached it, it swerved to a stop, sliding across the wet sand of the beach as it went, spraying the around around it with the sodden sand.

It fell silent, the engine having been turned off, but the occupant didn't exit, yet. His silhouette could barely be seen rummaging about in the car for something, before the door was finally pushed open, and a man stumbled out, wearing a red rain coat, hood up, shielding his face from view. An empty beer bottle wa sheld in his right hand as he slammed the door shit with his left, then tossed the bottle into the ocean and made his way toward the trunk of the car.

The man inserted a key to the trunk, and popped it open, lifting it up to reveal a man in a well-tailored suit, complete with a rose on the front. His face was clean-shaven, his hair usually slicked back, but it was quite a mess at the moment. A gag covered his mouth.
His eyes were wide and fearful as the kidnapper grabbed the man roughly, and hefted him out of the trunk.

"I told you." The kidnapper growled. "I told you. Again and a-fucking-gain. Didn't I?" He tore the gag away from the man's mouth, who immediately began screaming and yelling and crying for help.
The kidnapper laughed. "Oh, nobody's gonna hear you out here, Mr. Downes. Not. A. Soul." He continued to drag the struggling man down the beach, pulling him into the water. "After I kill you, I am going to piss in your mouth." The kidnapper started laughing in a maniacal manner, the wind pushing off his hood, revealing his face. Sunken, weathered, and scarred. He had a handlebar mustache, though a full beard was slowly setting in. His hair had begun growing into a mullet similar to that in his younger years. The too of his head was balding, and his eyes were wild as drool ran down his chin, mingling with the rain slapping down on his face.

"Trevor, please!" Mr. Downes whimpered, giving up his pursuit of help and aiming to plead with his kidnapper. "I-I'm sorry, okay?"
"No, see, you don't *get* to be sorry, you fucking prick." Trevor growled, reaching knee-height in the water and stopping, turning to face Mr. Downes. "I just don't think you get it. Nobody, and I mean fucking *nobody* pulls that double-crossing bullshit on me and gets away with it."

"Come on, Trevor..." Downes pleaded. "We all know Mikey did it and you guys are cool."
"See, that's different. That's something you'll never understand." Trevor snapped, glaring down at the man. "He atoned for his sins, Carl. He made it up to me. Yeah, he's a real fucking prick, but I love him. He gets a free pass, but you? Oh no. I never held any sort of love for you. Not even when I threatened to bend you over and fuck you like a bitch in heat, which I still may very well do, mind you."

"Please, Trevor, come on!" Carl's face screwed up as he began to cry, and Trevor rolled his eyes. "Grow a fucking pair, Carl! I'm not gonna kill you."
Immediately, Cark stopped, looking hopefully up at Trevor. "...r-really?"

He was immediately dunked under the water, Trevor's hands gripping around his throat as he went, squeezing harder and harder with each passing second.
Carl Downes struggled less and less, and even after he'd stopped moving, Trevor still held him under, grip only tightening more and more, his teeth bared as he stared in the murky water with satisfaction and bloodlust.

After several more minutes, he let go with a sigh. "Ha." He spit at Carl, then proceeded to drag him back up to shore, the rain continuing to pour down hard and heavy.

He threw the body down behind the car, and began unbuckling his pants, intent on following through with his pissing promise.

------

Trevor climbed the mountain, smoke billowing up from behind him, the old car up in flames, Carl's body going up in flames within.
The murderer stopped at the top of the hill and turned around, raising both middle fingers. "FUCK. YOU." He spat, staring at the burning wreck for a few moments longer. With that, he turned back around with the plan to rob some random car on the highway, but was stopped as his cellphone started going off, buzzing within his pocket.

Mildly annoyed, he pulled the phone from his pocket, flipped it open, and brought it to his ear. "Trevor Phillip's Industries." He barked.
"Hello, Mr. Phillips." A dry, raspy voice replied. "I have been. Waiting for. You." The caller drew in a shuddering breath. "I have a. Job. One that only. You can do with. Your partners."

"Yeah? What partners are you referring to?" Trevor asked, shifting on his feet, growing a strong distaste of this man's voice.
"Franklin Clinton. Michael Townley-DeSanta. The three of. You."
Trevor's interest piqued. The three of them had kept their distance from.each other for the past year, with minor and brief interactions, usually awkward. If he'd get a chance to work with them again... they made a great team.
This was probably the big break he'd been looking for.
"Consider me... interested." Trevor told the man on the line. "Just what is this job all about?"

"Cannot discuss. Here, it is not safe. Come to Fort. Zancudo. 8 pm tomorrow. Sharp. Don't be. Late." He drew in another long, shuddering breath, before the call disconnected.
Trevor cursed as he closed it, tucking the phone back into his pocket. He wasn't sure what this was. It had to he some kind of trap, right? This guy knew both of Mikey's last names... knew they were accomplices, even after all the FIB shit had been destroyed...

It was worth a look, at least. Trevor really didn't have much else to do.
"Fucking Fort Zancudo..." He muttered to himself. How they'd get in there was a complete and total mystery.

With that, he made his way down to the highway to steal a new car for himself.

Haloverse

"Will we all fit?" Okimi asked as she approached. It was a valid question, since Ogremon wasn't exactly a little guy. Gao, Catgirl, Ali, and Volpa soon joined them. "I can fly for myself, if there's not enough room." Volpa said. "I can't exactly say the same." Ali said. She knew her current alien form wasn't capable of flight.

Yharnam Sewers

"Be my guest." Achilles said. He was fine with the decision of that guy going first. From what he'd seen the guy was quite capable of defending himself. He turned to the rest of the group, waiting to see if someone took charge.

Ahem.

Folks.
Do not abuse colour tags. That's against our global rules. There's is literally zero need for those.

Youtube videos belong no where in RP posts, either.

No more of this in the future, please.

Carry on.

Sylar had Claire cornered.

All he needed to do was figure it out.

Her head was cut open, the brain right in his hands, but she was still alive due to her regeneration ability.

And now... it was his ability as well.

He found it.

He put the brain back in her head and got up, but as he walked towards the door, he tripped over something.

“What the-“

The blue object suddenly opened up a portal right under him, and in an instant, Sylar was gone.

-

The Beast was rampant.

He was chasing Casey through the catacombs, looking to eat his third meal of the night.

He suddenly noticed a shiny blue object that he hadn’t seen there before. He didn’t think much of it until it opened a wormhole.

He grabbed the bars, trying to stay out of its grasp, but it was too strong, sucking him in.

Pewter City

“Watch out!”

Out of nowhere, a portal opened up. A man was shot out of the portal, nearly hitting Sawyer.

“We got another one,” Anthony said.

The Beast stood up, disoriented, and all he saw was chaos. As well as four people... a dog... and a... he didn’t even know what the other one was. He didn’t really care, though. He was just hungry.

In an instant he pounced at Sawyer, but Meta Knight jumped and pushed Sawyer out of the way before slicing at the Beast with his sword. The weapon had little effect, barely fazing the beast at all.

Kaleb instinctively grabbed a Pokeball, sending out Charizard. He pointed at the Beast and Charizard began charging a Flare Blitz, driving the Beast into the floor.

“Damn, wish I still had Riot with me...” Sawyer muttered to himself.

Spinel & Apatite
The Wilds

“I’m still not seeing anyone,” a focused, serious looking Spinel informed the fearful Apatite, who was still in the pink gem’s arms as she trudged through the snow. Spinel wasn’t really used to having a travel-buddy, so she couldn’t help but try and keep Apatite updated on their progress… well, not that they seemed to be making any. There was nothing but snow, trees, unoccupied caverns…

“How are you holding up?” Spinel asked the blue gem, looking down at her.

“I- uh… it could be worse,” Apatite smiled up at Spinel, noticeably paler than she originally was. Spinel had never met a temperature-sensitive gem before, so this was a first, and her desire to keep her new friend safe just barely overtook her desire to destroy everything in sight; she was still really irritated due to this sudden change in location.

“Hold on, I’ve got a plan,” Spinel assured Apatite. She raised one arm, and her pinky finger suddenly began to stretch and elongate, coiling into a tall cone shape. She brought the short end to her makeshift blowhorn, and blew into it. A deep wailing noise emitted from it, piercing through the sound of the rustling trees. “There we go. And now we wait,” Spinel huffed after about fifteen seconds of this process. Apatite understood the plan- if anyone had heard that, hopefully they would come and find the two. And if that happened, maybe the duo would get to go someplace warmer. That sounded nice…

“Where do you think we, um… are?” Apatite wondered aloud, looking around at the trees- organic life- the snow, a chilled liquid medium of sorts, and the sky… it was different from what she was used to. Scary, almost, but Spinel’s presence made her feel safe, even though Spinel was probably scarier than the new environment.

“Well, we WERE on a planet covered in little green life forms, then that little crystal showed up, and then… BANG! We ended up here. There’s no hints there… there’s no telling where we are,” Spinel said, losing enthusiasm throughout the entire recollection. “All we can do now is wait. If things get TOO bad, I have a backup plan.”

Koji
He was focused on staying with the group. So focused that he almost didn't notice the crystal. It manager to catch his eye by chance. He picked up the crystal. Next thing he knew he was back on the X shaped root with Bokomon.

Marron
At about the same time, Marron spotted a crystal as well. "Practically any place is better than here." Marron muttered. He picked up the crystal. In seconds he was sucked up into a portal, ending up in, unbeknownst to him , the same dimension and location that Koji had been.

Her fists up and ready to fight, her hand slowly reached towards her weapon.
"Who are you supposed to be?" she asked, stern, yet calm. Her trademark. A certain boy who she gave a substantial burn scar to could testify. "The mascot for Pepsi or something? And where the hell even am I?"

Hero Killer Stain, Rex Raptor
The Wilds

"I suppose they know I'm here..." he thought to himself, poker-faced. "I doubt they'll be able to catch up with me... but if they can..."
He continued thinking, his left hand at a dagger sheathed in his vest, his right hand firmly gripping the sword he was using as a pedestal.
A sword dripping with blood, some of which was dropping into the snow.
One of the Critters turned, noticing the blood on the floor.
Alerted, the tiny creature looked up, his eyes meeting the elusive gaze of the Hero Killer.
He grinned.
"These kids might be of some help after all..." he thought, recalling the broken jaw he'd been given...
Stain remembered the boy's proud cry, his promise to his friend, and the devastating blow which had broken the bone in the assassin's face.
Quickly, the Critter alerted those around it, each of them frantically trying to get the attention of the colorful bunch around them.

"Perfect."

Stain withdrew his sword from the trunk, flinging himself down as swift as the wind, the spiked metal soles of his boots pressing the tiny, unknowing creatures as he sought to get the group's attention in a rather brutal, extravagant manner.
His mouth breaking into a devilish, arrogant wide grin, he made sure to twist his foot, shoving a Critter further into the earth rather sadistically, before bounding off, murder-lust eyes never leaving them as the Hero Killer rocketed from tree to tree, almost beckoning for them to follow him.
Which is exactly what he wanted.
All the while, he wondered in his mind how they'd fare against him.
They'd either get themselves killed and weaken him enough for Stain to finish the job, or defeat him in turn and weaken in strength themselves.
Either way, Stain got what he desired, as well as a shorter path to his goal.
Yes...

It was all coming together.

"Don't need to tell me twice!" Rex gleefully replied, rubbing his cold sleeves, until hearing the part about transportation.
"T-three weeks?!" he spat. "You're kidding m--"
Then he heard a honking nice, stumbling back--pulling Keda with him--as he faced the newcomer, hearing his near-ridiculous conversation with that Jamie guy.
"H-hey, how the heck do you know Yugi?! D-don't try to compare me to him! I'm a better Duelist than that guy's ever gonna be! So do me a favor and either shut up or get lost!"
The more he lied, the more guilt weighed on his back.
"Now... about that transportation..." he began.
However, once the Duelist started to think about it, a grin crept across his face.
"Wait a good second... this is the perfect opportunity to show off to these guys!" he thought, almost giddy.
"Y'know, I might actually have something for this...!" he responded, frantically shuffling through his Deck.
Grinning profusely, he stepped forward.
"You need transportation? You got it! I'll just discard two Monsters to summon the mighty Tyrant Dragon!"
Dramatically drawing a card from his Deck and slamming it onto the blue of his Duel Disk, the mighty beast towered from the mouth of the cave, howling into the sky with a mighty shriek that could be heard for miles. The twenty-seven foot tall Tyrant Dragon spread its wide, black and brown leathery wings, hovering above the ground as if to assert its dominance over the land.
"Our ride has arrived!" Rex exclaimed triumphantly, placing his hands on his hips and puffing his chest out.

Speedwagon, Sir Lancelot
Camelot Castle Throne Room

"Oh, no need, I'm sure you've got it all under control." Speed wagon replied, grinning charismatically.
"And now," he thought, his goal completed, "Speedwagon withdraws."
While Lancelot moved out to investigate, the blonde man in the hat was gone, having vanished almost like the wind.

Spiral, the Blacksmith
Camelot Castle Town: The Blacksmith's Shop

"Well..." the Blacksmith started, drumming his fingers on an anvil. "how would we create one of these 'lasers'? Frankly, it doesn't sound like anything like I've ever heard of."
"Unless Chaos energy suffices, I dunno if I can help with that one," Spiral replied, clenching his fist, which immediately lit up with bright, sparking blue flames for good measure.

Goku, Galacta Knight
Camelot Skies

By now, the two warriors were even higher than the clouds, facing each other off in the thin air of the upper stratosphere.
The orange-clad Saiyan stretched his muscular arms, showing little to no emotion other than boredom.
"So... you sure this is the best place for us to do this?"
"...Yes. You have seen it as well, have you not? There have been many disturbances this day. The boy's cards, the many people interrupting the king, and more that I care not to mention."
"...You're right there. But what does that have to do with--"
"Because I would much rather not trouble the people of the kingdom with our ensuing chaos. You and I both know that the other is much more powerful than either of us have shown so far."
...This caught Goku's attention. Galacta smirked under her mask, crimson red eyes amusedly staring her opponent.
"Am I wrong, Son Goku?"
Pausing, the Saiyan looked up.
After moments of silence, he smirked and chuckled.
"No, I don't think so."
"As I suspected. The sun and clouds should also block any light that might make it down to the surface. As far as you or I know, we are perhaps the most powerful in this kingdom."
She twirled her magenta blade, hefting it. "As well as the only ones open to give the other a proper challenge, which both of us seem to seek. So take this opportunity."
The glow in her eyes increased.
"I ask of you, show me the state you call Super Saiyan once more!"
Grinning, Goku faced her.
"YOU'VE GOT IT!!!"
With an explosion of ki, the knight watched once more as Goku's body erupted in golden flames, returning to his Super Saiyan State. Now excited, her own body flared with a yellow and magenta aura, as tens of blades comprised of pure energy twirled around her head.
Burning with energy, the two faced off, so high no normal person could see them.
"...Are we going to fight, or continue to stare each other down?!"
"I was gonna ask the same thing!"
"Then I ask kindly that you cease this chatter at once and FIGHT ME!!!"
Screaming triumphantly, the two fighters dashed madly at each other, opposing flurries of blows matching each other strike for strike.

Asta
Camelot

"Wait, NO--!"
Asta stood and watched as the man he'd just met was engulfed in flames. Forcing himself to move--which was surprisingly easy, given other fights he'd been a part of--the boy was ready to mow down every last one of them to avenge the guy who'd just gone down in a ball of fire.
Except...
...he didn't.
Asta paused at the edge of the flames, his swords hefted.
He listened to Goblin Slayer's declare of war towards the enemies he was facing, still standing despite the ridiculous abuse they'd tolled on him.
Normally, Asta would've disregarded everything he'd said to help him.
Normally.
There was only one thing stopping him from intervening, from forcing himself to go Black again so he could drive his blades into the Ogre's skull.
It was that he could relate.
Goblin Slayer's constant refusal to stay down almost reminded him of his own endeavors--the people who'd crushed him into the ground--the obstacles that seemed to climb higher and higher still.
"..."
The Magic Knight opened his grimoire, sheathing his heavier sword. He simply stuck his smaller sword into the floor, leaning on it a little. The arcane fire surrounding the tip of his blade was immediately sucked into it, vanishing as the metal cooled. A five-foot ring sat around the blade, burned earth beneath Asta's feet.
"Hey, if you two don't mind," Asta called to Blake and Weiss, almost smirking as he watched the armored man get up again.
"...I think we should let him have this one."

Olympus II

Two golden eyes watched the worn yet spotless metal, gleaming with a hungry shine. The culling of all magic...

"Yes yes yes... I believe I'll be taking those."

...

Footsteps. A young woman entered the room, her fierce, energetic eyes fixated on the man before her.

"...Hey. You called for me, right?"
"...Yes, child."

A robed hand seized a relic beside him, lifting it.
An ornate sword, polished, but the metal worn and ancient. The curved, semicircular tip made it obvious the blade was for smashing, rather than slashing. He offered the weapon, engraved with a three-leaf clover, to the girl standing next to him.

"I have but the smallest job for you."

A glare followed by a growl was the only response given to answer the question. Being a werewolf meant tolerating the greatest of pain, showing no mercy to enemies or prey and that any signs of kindness were to be viewed as weakness; at least that's what she was taught during a young age. However, now that she was stuck with strangers who seemed to act friendly towards one another, it made her feel very out of her element of what she was used to.

Her mood only worsened when Bakugo began shouting at her if she were to get any vomit on him, emitting a threatening snarl in return as her muscles and bones began to visibly shift and move underneath her skin. The she-wolf thought of attacking Bakugo, but did nothing as she watched Akame silence him, giving her a small bit of satisfaction in return as a grin formed on the werewolf's face. It also distracted her from the wretched sewer smell for a good while.

Upon hearing Eileen talk of following a pipe that was possibly connected to a main pipe, the werewolf held some doubt in the hunter's ability to navigate. "Are you certain this won't lead us to our death?" she asked.

~~~~~The Wilds~~~~~
Suddenly, the figure or whatever presence Twilight and she presumed others had felt revealed itself. She was greeted by one of those again odd furless two-legged creatures though this one seemed to max out the creep factor. His tongue and eerie manic grin caused Twilight to feel a shiver up her body as while this guy had not been the scariest thing Twlight had ever seen it had ranked among the most disturbing. Not helped was the way he seemed to flash and glide along the trees with blinding speed which Twilight struggled to keep with...he was no Rainbow Dash but still his agility & quickness had been a pain to track as he seemed to move around and away from them though seemed to make sure they'd see him. Was he trying to lead them? Or had Twilight overthought that?
Either way the Equestria Pony turned to the others. "Seems he isn't attacking, whoever he is, I-I think he wants us to follow. Could be a trap." She whispered over to them as she had began to think of what the best course of action to take was.[/FONT]
Far East, City of Mercy
Alright, tons of red flags there. "Okay, who are you, how do you know who I am, and how do you know what happened?" Silver questioned. He was on Blaze's side now, preparing his defenses.
Far East, Fenrir Base
...one hour later.
"RAH!"
Alisa was above Rick now, having leapt off of a partially-destroyed pillar in the simulation. She swung down towards Rick with the replica God Arc.
Camelot Castle, Throne Room
"What an interesting man..."
"Uh, Merlina?" Gawain crossed his arms. Merlina seemed to have been distracted when Speedwagon left.
"O-oh, yes." Merlina daintly coughed. "Please, continue." She turned to Raiden, her composure regained.
Camelot Castle, Dining Hall
"Hey, it's no fault of yours that your pet monster decided to freak out." Joseph shrugged. "What's done is done, though. I'd like to return to my meal, but I think I've lost my appetite, honestly."
"I'd argue that he brought a substantial threat into the castle - into the presence of the King - and no one was informed." Sir Percival said with a glare towards Negan. "You'd better be able to explain what that was."
"I-I don't think it's his fault..." Serena said, trying to voice her own opinion.
"It was his choice to bring the monster within Camelot's borders." Percival stated. "His choice to inform no one of the life form almost killed those in this room..."
Camelot Castle Town, Blacksmith's Shop
"Well, if we could get a sufficient and consistent electrical charge, we might be able to produce a laser using the plasma..." Stark pondered. "But where would we get a strong source of-"
It was back when they had first arrived in the caves. Shantae had been in the process of checking the other girls, both unconscious, for injuries while Stark checked the cave. Snake was watching for trouble and Sans had been... well, sleeping.
"Hey, Tony, I found something." Shantae said. She pulled out what seemed almost like a game case for a DS, but completely red and with a lightning bolt on it. "Ruby had it on her."
"What's that, now?" Tony picked it up and looked at it. On closer inspection, it seemed to be some sort of ammo cartridge. Looking it over, he was able to unlock it. Opening it up, he saw strange canisters filled with what seemed like yellow powder. "This is certainly odd..."
"I think I might know what we can use." Stark replied.
Shantae had been laying back against the door as the sun set on the horizon. She yelped as the door was opened, quickly getting up and moving out of the way. "Oh! What's up, Tony?"
"I need to talk to Ruby and Yang." Tony requested. "They might be able to help."
ONI Delta Station, Reach Underground
Mikhail didn't need to be told twice.
The kid broke into a quick run, fleeing from the monster. His thoughts were racing. Lora, Jin, Haze - he would have taken MacNeth, even! Mikhail was running as fast as he could to escape, since he wasn't exactly a fighter.
But he was outpacing Mendez...
Specter's Ship, Krak's Laboratory
Cut Man sighed. "I'm guessing we're out of time?"
Hope nodded. "Yeah. Now that you're online, we have to go. Chief's been keeping watch. Something's happening out there with that kid with the keysword you guys were talking about - Master Chief caught us up while you were offline - and the others are trying to deal with that. But if everything works..."
Cut Man ran a quick diagnostic. "Yeah... yeah, I'm all good."
Hope looked over to Hank. "Where's that ship we're supposed to take?" She tossed some shrinking discs over Elec Man's parts, pocketing them to try and join on the way.
Sequin Land, Mermaid Falls
"L-leave her?" Rottytops was shocked at the suggestion. "You want to abandon her all alone in a world she doesn't understand or know? It's dangerous out here! Plus, Risky wanted me to help Contessa reach her goal, not... leave her in the woods to go do something else. I-I dunno..."
Goldenwalk Streets
"You've got some new friends, Gwennie? Aside from these guys? Can I meet 'em?" Bodega Bandit asked.
"It's too dangerous for ordinary civilians." Nathan voiced his own opinion. "X, you still got a look?"
"Yeah, I read Y's signal still."
"Let's go."
X lifted into the air again. "Gwen, uh... Scythe. You two need a ride?"
"That is EXACTLY who I am!" Pepsi Man said. He did a spin back before making a dramatic pose with two bottles of Pepsi in hand. "I am PEPSI-MAN! The Soft-Drink Superhero!" He then returned to a casual posture. "As for where we are, I have no clue."
Arendelle, Elsa's Castle
"Maple..."
In an instant, a magical circle was flaring around Maple as she charged her energy. "WHOA!" Alpha looked back in shock. "Maple, what's-"
She quickly made a G shape with her hand.
"Oh."
Alpha formed an Orion Shield, glancing around the chamber. "Do you think he's here?"
Hat Kid, meanwhile, was still very confused. She glanced about, trying to figure out what Alpha and Maple were focused on.
Maple shook her head. "I bet you can hear me, though." Maple said, referring to Gaster.
The Wilds, The Cavern
Since Rex was headed out of the cave, Keda was forced to go as well, stumbling for a moment before moving into a walk. Alpha raised her head as Keda walked over. He watched as Rex summoned the monster... and was impressed. "I remember your beasts from the battle in that strange metal land..." Keda said. "This thing can truly serve as our method of travel? It could cut the journey down to mere days..."
...when a bleeding sound struck across his ears. "ARGH!" Keda clasped his ears, falling to one knee. Alpha yelped in pain before beginning to bark, backing up to the wall. "What was that...? That's not your monster, is it Rex?"
The Wilds, The Plains
The Nomad's hand was shaking with fury.
His eyes flew upwards, glowing a sharp white, as he looked Stain down. With no words, he held out a fist, jutting his thumb to the side, before turning it downwards and narrowing his eyes. Taking a step forwards, he made two powerful claps.
Suddenly, Stain's own sword leapt from its sheath.
Olympus II
"Commence the injection."
Plague gritted her teeth behind her mask as the point of the syringe stabbed through her arm, punching right through to a blood vessel. Raising her head, she watched as Roman Torchwick and Zan Partizanne did the same. The younger mistress of lightning had her doubts. "Was it really worth calling me from the Void Heart hunt for this?"
"Most definitely, Partizanne." Z stood on a raised platform just above the group, tapping away at Plague's usual station. They were in the large chamber that had been designed specifically for the use of the scientist. In the center of the room stood what was, for all intents and purposes, just a stone pillar. The pillar had been stabbed through by the same mechanism that was now piercing the four humans' skin. Just to Z's left, Malos sat on the stairs, watching in interest. Dracula stood in the corner of the chamber, his cloak around him as always. "Your charged blood in particular will be exceptionally useful for this procedure." Z continued. "If the Awakening process is successful, we will possess three incredibly powerful warriors on our side."
"So what am I, dead weight?" Roman replied. "Blood of a human with a Semblance, yada yada, I get you've been looking into the whole Semblance thing since the Labyrinth, but do I really need to be here for this?"
"We need three samples." Plague replied simply. "One for each of them."
"Them?"
Plague looked over towards the pillar as the blood began to be soaked into the stone... and the pillar cracked open. Suddenly, three men wearing nothing but hats, head covering, jewelry and loincloths flew out, posing elegantly as they landed.
"Them."
Zan Partizanne reached a hand back for her weapon, the mere presence of these three causing her to take a step back. Z himself raised his hand, and Zan slowly relaxed. Roman, meanwhile, was still stepping back. "I-I think this is probably a good time for me to leave..."
"Yeah, this is Inner Circle business now." Malos said, getting up with a stretch. "You should probably skedaddle."
Torchwick didn't have to be told twice. With a nod, Zan walked off to return to her previous mission.
"Kars. Esidisi. Wamuu. You are the three Pillar Men, save the deceased Santana."
The three large men looked over to Z. The one who seemed to be the leader walked forwards. "No human knows our names."
"That's because my knowledge goes far beyond that of humanity." Z replied simply. "I am Z. The exterminator of Homo Sapiens."
A sharp blade extended from Kars' wrist. Before Plague, Malos or Dracula could intervene, Z's sword shot up from its scabbard to block Kars' own, the sword holding Kars' attack in place.
"I have well acquainted myself with your capabilities."
Kars slowly lowered his weapon. "You said you seek to exterminate humanity." The voice of Kars' second-in-command, Esidisi, came up. "Judging by you choosing to awaken us, I assume you wish for us to aid you."
"All I ask for is your cooperation." Z replied. The android held out his hand. "Join my Cabal. You may pursue your own goals, so long as they do not clash with mine. You may fight your own foes, as they will be my enemies as well. And when it is all over, I shall grant you the means to surpass the Ultimate Lifeform."
Wamuu and Esidisi looked at each other... which is when Kars stepped forwards and shook Z's hand.
"This mutual support... I accept."
"Z, this is the Alchemist. Skywalker is here."
Kamino
The wormhole closed. This was Vader's world, as it was when he had left. Surely the Dark Lord could sense it. King's Artifice stepped away from Vader as they emerged.
Follow me.
The robot stepped over the edge of the large platform, skidding down its slant before leaping off the edge. As it fell, it confirmed its location. Once it was able to confirm Vader was behind it, King's Artifice blasted down into the water, parting the currents with his form as he journeyed down to the submerged flying fortress.
Rick Grimes
Far East - Fenrir Base
With a grunt, the survivor took a step back, raising his blade defensively, catching Alisa's blow down the middle, and pushing back, knocking her momentum away as he turned, grasping the handle of his replica tightly, and slashed in a backwards motion. She'd quickly made him a little comfortable with the idea of not worrying killing each other. With their Aragami augmentations, and the replica God Arcs, the only killing would be of calories.
Artemis, Negan
Camelot Castle - Dining Hall
"Kill is a bit strong of a word." Artemis replied to Percival. "At best it came close to annoying me as much a Joestar might."
"No, it's alright." Negan spoke up, raising his hands for silence. He wasn't sure why everyone but the short furry chick was defending him, but... "It's my fault, I shoulda told someone." He admitted, looking to Percival, and cracking a grin. "However, I do gotta say, this gooey pal of mine was just hungry. That's why I came down here before we all went..." He jokingly simulated passing out, before continuing. "Now, if you really wanna be concerned, it's about that guy who just treated my 'monster' like it was an ant under his boot, I mean... what if that guy decided he didn't like someone here? Seems a little more dangerous to me than the thing you just killed."
Dr. Halsey, Chief Mendez
ONI Delta Station - Reach Underground
They reached their destination- an elevator to the surface. Just as the Flood began to close in on three different sides. "Fuck." Mendez grunted as the elevator doors opened, the three of them rushing inside. Halsey was quick to select the closing button, and close the elevator did, before shooting up.
As quickly as they'd been ambushed, they'd just escaped. Mendez let out a sigh of relief, holding his hips. "Ain't as fit as I used to be." He grunted while Halsey returned her attention to the kid. "I need you to tell me how you got here." She demanded, no longer holding off her interrogation now that the danger had passed.. for now.
Vriska
Sequin Land - Mermaid Falls
"Rotty." Vriska put a hand on the zombie's shoulder. "I've dealt with people like Risky and the Contessa before. Tons of times. They're gonna use us to attain their goals, then throw us out like garbage once we're no longer useful to them. We need to stand up for ourselves. Rise up. Take nobody's bullshit. It's us and them." She glanced at the Contessa, who seemed to be shouting something at a frightened-looking C. Her gaze returned to Rottytops. "We ditch her, get to the destination, and we take charge. No more taking order from Risky. Or Contessa. You're your own person and so am I. Waddya say?" She held out her other hand to Rotty, intending on shaking for the secret alliance Vriska was proposing.
Gaster
The VOID
"Indeed." The Doctor smiled, despite the fact that she couldn't see him. He was an eternity away, both in time and space, yet he spoke to her almost as though he were standing right beside her. "Your friends cannot hear me though. I'm sure you'll detail everything to them by the end of this conversation. I have come to you in search of something." He paused. "And don't bother asking what it is. I already know you're well aware of the item your father locked away a long time ago. One such item that belonged to me, and still does."
Darth Vader
Kamino
The rain and wind lashed at his suit, his cape flapping violently as the Sith Lord followed the droid, each step clunking heavily. He recognized where he was in an instant- Kamino. The clone world. He had many great and terrible plans for this place, many of which would be hidden from the prying eyes of the Emperor. He'd been gone for some time, was this his own universe he's returned to? If so, could his master sense his return? Deep down, Vader hoped Palpatine hadn't.
He watched as King's Artifice leaped over the side of the walkway, cascading to the water below as it parted for him, a feat that Vader himself had performed a number of times, before and after his fall to the dark side. He watched as the Artifice continued to descend, before slowly lifting into the air himself, drifting off the walkway, then dropping like a rock.
Hunter
Specter's Ship Pipotron Chamber
The Hunter wasn't sure what the Slayer planned on doing. He never really had over the past three or so hours he had known the big guy for. However, the Slayer evidently always knew what he was doing- And thus, the Hunter found it smart to listen. Unfortunately, grabbing much anything was difficult, but for the Slayer? The Hunter would damn sure try.
He noticed he was levitating a few inches off the floor. Which was weird, sure, but probably caused by the huge hole in the ceiling, considering all the miscellaneous scraps floating out into the void of the space through it. And was also The Hunter couldn't necessarily hang on to anything, but off to the side of the hall was a pipe that jutted just far enough off the wall for him to squeeze his foot into. The Hunter swung his foot around, hooking it just barely. So between the line and the foothold, he'd be fine for whatever stunt the Slayer was pulling.
Which was an impressive stunt indeed. The bane of Demons himself zoomed in at a rapid pace, tearing out the floor's external plating. Then, he simply let it seal the hole- a temporary solution that allowed him to fall back to the floor, the vacuum patched for the moment. He wasted no time in picking himself back up, putting his saw cleaver away, and beginning to walk towards the Chief along with the others.
"Good work Slayer. Would've been in the stars if it weren't for you." He briefly mentioned, having to show respect for the Slayer's quick thinking. He'd make a good hunter...but also was a hunter himself, in a way. Surely.
Entering into Krak's lab, he began reporting immediately. "Hiro's gone. They had keys like Hiro, and magic. I bet those feckin' monkeys know where they took him." The Hunter pointed to the shuttle, "That's supposed to take us to the big thing, right? We have to get him back before those clowns do something bad to him. Or Missus Kale."
Eileen the Crow and Ridley
Yharnam Sewers
So there was some contention on whether or not entering a fairly small drain pipe was dangerous or not. Which was fair, it was a tight fit. But still, the Crow had no worries. "Aye, don't worry yourself too much wolf. It'll lead up to the surface at worse. It doesn't rain here enough for us to accidentally drown, and nothin' too dangerous could shove itself in there. I promise, there is no death comin' from this pipe." Eileen glanced down the pipe, unable to see Trevor at this point. The sewers weren't too bright in of themselves. "How are you fairing down there, new hunter?" She didn't really mean new as in inexperienced, just as in new to the city of Yharnam. Though Trevor would need to interpret that for himself.
And as the Belmont crawled deeper into the pipe, it did indeed seem to be a safe, straight shot. However, if his ears were well trained, he could hear a noise, far down the line. Besides Eileen's question, echoing from behind.
Distant squeaks of rats.
And far from that pipe, was a man, a boy, and a monster far greater than any found in Yharnam.
Ridley heard them, but not seen them. But he recalled their pestering voices, a familiarity he'd wish he had forgotten. Though the boy's doubts of who he was infuriated him. "I may not be able to see you in this form, but I recall you two. Back in that human city...Locked in combat with the annoying human and his team of glorified dogs. And I recall you watching me, in spectacle of my power. And I can assure you..."
With a green glow, the omnitrix began returning Ridley to his draconian form. Regaining wings and sight, two solid yellow eyes once again affixed to his head. He took up nearly the entire span of the sewer, the space pirate's neck slanted downwards, as to not hit his head. "...I am indeed the Ridley you seek. This device allows me to change my form. I must accustom myself to it, in preparation to slaughter my true enemy, Samus Aran." He gazed down at the two figures. The bewildered brown haired boy, staring in what he could only assume to be amazement and terror- and the blue haired scientist, who appeared as if he had many better things to do at the moment than humor Ridley.
"So, why have you come to see me in this dingy city? I have only come here by coincidence. I cannot control where these crystals take me, though I am a firm believer that with each one, I grow closer to the combat I desire. Here, however, there are only basic animals, and crawling excuses for humans...And, I suppose you two."
Hmm...Perhaps they...Time would tell. The boy certainly not, but the blue haired man's indifference was fascinating to Ridley.
Raiden
Camelot Castle Halls
The Speedwagon guy...Seemed like the chatty type. Odd guy, with his tall top hat and distinctive scar, but seemed like a gentleman. He noted him down too- might've been important for later. Though Merlina asked for Raiden to continue.
"Right. Last time I saw him, he was buying a hot dog off a skeleton at the training grounds. It's as weird as it sounds. I can't imagine he could've gone far. Might still be eating. We could catch him before he causes anymore problems. But I think as long as he keeps that thing away in...whatever he keeps it in...It's not a problem."
He turned towards the door, walking off. "I'll go ahead and keep the kid occupied if you have other business to get to first. Also, I uh...hope that you didn't spend a long time making the training grounds. They are a little...You'll see." Raiden wasn't exactly one to judge, given the damages he left in his wake in Abkahzia...Buuut Desperado had their way with the capital anyways, so it wasn't the worst. Still...Millions in damages...
Oh well.
Kiran
Camelot Castle Dormitories
Kiran listened to Bro intently, fully believing him...Before realizing he was probably being fed a crock of shit. Still, Kiran was a polite person. Polite enough to not call it out immediately. Besides, some of it sounded like a way to get buff...And maybe Kiran was well defined, but certainly not in any sense of the word buff. "Vegetables...rigorous work out...yolks and milk...I get the gist. I'll, uh, weave it into my regular work out." Which was a pretty bold faced lie. Regardless of whether or not Bro could tell he was lying, he opened the door to their shared room. Almost immediately, his eyes were drawn to the damn puppet sitting on one of the beds.
He didn't mention anything to Bro. Kiran already knew it was a sour spot for the guy. Just...no eye contact with it. No eye contact. It was not staring into the back of his head, as he set the helmet down on the wardrobe. It was not staring into his very soul, even without the eye contact...
He really had to throw a blanket over it...
Ignoring the unsettling feel he got off Cal...He flipped off the bulky "blade" from his back, setting it down on the floor, leaning against the wardrobe. He tapped on it's pommel, and a small compartment flipped open on the handle. "Heh, all my friends thought I was crazy for wanting something like this. But I knew it'd be helpful one day!" From the compartment, he pulled a small set of screwdrivers, tiny wire clippers, and pliers. "Uh, if you need them you can use them too. I'm sure fixing it won't take too long."
Kiran said this, completely unaware of what Bro was going through.
Sarah, Samus, and the Flamebringer
Atlantic Oceanside
Sonic was up for destroying this guy where he stood, and Samus saw no reason to delay either. Precognition was a dangerous ability, though that Shulk kid possessed it in the Smash tournament- and even he was just barely able to avoid Sonic's strikes. If he was slower than Shulk, who wasn't even armored- then they'd have no problem doing it.
"Then let's do it." Samus had begun charging her cannon already. Sarah and the Flamebringer kept their eyes on Vader, watching him still be seemingly unaware of their presence.
"What's he even doing out there? Chatting on the phone?" Sarah was getting antsy. This guy scared Sonic, and Samus was then scared of him in turn...Who knew what this guy was planning?
They all promptly figured it out when a bright blue light shone out near him. Samus fired instinctively, the plasma blast arcing across the water- But it was too late, the man in black now gone in a flash, the shot continuing across the ocean. Hopefully it would peter out before it hit anything. "Damn. He's gone."
Immediately on edge, Sarah rose her axe. "Is it an attack? Did he teleport behind us or something?"
"No. That light was identical to the light made off those crystals that transported us through dimensions." Samus said, able to connect the two together.
"So he isn't our problem anymore. This is good, yes?" Asked a quizzical Flamebringer, shrugging. After all, in another dimension he was certainly wasn't going to be fighting them anytime soon.
"He isn't our problem in the moment. But trouble usually ends up finding people like us again." Samus told the mercenary, lowering her cannon. "He'll be back again. I doubt he was running. We should recoup. Sonic, you have a base or something of the sort near here? Or elsewhere? We'd prefer that than to a cave for the night."
Indeed, the sun was shimmering over the ocean's horizon, glimmering over the water. A pretty sight for certain. As if there hadn't been a fierce conflict waged there just moments before.
Priscilla, Jackson, Quint
Goldenwalk Streets Battlefield
"Refocus fire on fat italian! He's going to bring down the building!" The soldiers were seemingly panicking now. Cecil's men grossly underestimated the sheer strength of this random portly garlic loving man.
"If we take fire off the axe tosser-"
"Just do it!"
The railguns were promptly aimed at Wario, the beam once headed toward Thor quickly diverted. Even the ones on the building Wario was in the process of destroying, pointed their own weapons, hanging them off the building to get a clear shot at him. How was he even this strong? Was he just made out of...No, the soldiers had nearly nothing to compare him to! He was seemingly invincible. All they could hope was that a searing bombardment of energy could break whatever guard he had.
"HEY FATASS, GET THE HELL OVER HERE BEFORE YOU TAKE THAT BUILDING OUT!!" The city was already wrecked enough in Priscilla's eyes. Another several million from the building coming down- not to mention the absolutely huge debris cloud such a thing would whip up...And not to mention it only took care of one group of the soldiers. It was a poorly executed idea for anyone who wasn't Wario. Which everyone else was not.
The shouting made Jackson wince. He wasn't so much fuzzy headed anymore than flat out having a headache. "Keep it down, will you? I got a bad headache." His body had mostly recovered. The scorched flesh had woven itself back together, his arm having begun sprouting back again. Though it was still only a forearm at the moment. Priscilla was a little too occupied shouting still to listen. "Shit...Quint, let's go. Hide in the alley. A little less loud."
"Um...Are you sure Priscilla's gonna be..."
"Trust me, she's got more problems to deal with than us ditching for a minute or two. Beanpole and...Mon...Mona, your name was? If she asks just point over to the alley. Let's dip, Quint."
"I'm not sure this is a great idea, but...okay..."
Helping Jackson to his feet, the two slunk off into the alley. But the moment they did, Jackson began speaking in a hushed voice. "I didn't want anyone to panic. I saw something moving back here."
"What?! You just saw something and-"
"It was small. We can take it out if it's something that ain't friendly." He had a point. A well placed brick to the head could mean a lot. But also, this was stupidly risky.
Though the risk seemed to be pointless to take- considering from the shadows stepped out an unassuming boy, looking both terrified and awe struck. Jackson was a tiny celebrity in the city- most anyone associated with HeroSquad was. Quint was less so, Priscilla even less so...But celebrity was something to be proud of, right?
Though the more important thing was addressing the kid.
"I'm no good with kids. Quint, go talk to him." Jackson whispered.
"Huh? Why me? Aren't you more recognizable?"
"Three things. You've had younger siblings. Your level headed and nice. And you don't have a stump arm right now."
...It was an uphill argument, and the kid clearly needed to be tended to. Quint sighed, and approached the child, beginning to speak. "Hey there, buddy. How you'd end up out here?" Quint was really hoping the kid just got lost from his parents in the absolute chaos the city was in. Obviously, they couldn't abandon a kid out here with no watch. But if they were heading into the storm of this thing, they certainly couldn't bring him with them. "It's a bit dangerous to be out here by yourself. Things are a bit...crazy, y'know?"
Silver Scythe
Goldenwalk Streets
"Your welcome." The Scythe nodded to the bandit. "Sorry we got off on the wrong foot." She was very defensive, sure, but y'know. First friend that wasn't immediate family, she had a right to that, yeah? And dude did look suspicious as heck. Celice didn't even know people would unironically dress like that.
Though the arrival of the rest of their party- Blue Boy, the soldier, and Silent Crowbar. Well she doubted that was his actual name, but it probably sounded cooler than whatever name he really had. Gwennie...That's what the bandit called her. Though the Blue Boy just called her Gwen. Referred to her as the Scythe.
He was asking her to...ride on him? Well, of course. He could fly and all. That's how she met this Blue Boy. Ah, what the heck, she could do away with all the formalities. "Err...Just call me Celice. That's my name. And uh...sorry about the whole thing before. Me trying to kill you and the soldier there." She gestured to Nathan. She apologized already, at least she thought so, but if she was giving them her actual name, another apology would help not get herself turned over to the police immediately.
Whatever police was left in the city anyways.
The Blue boy had also mentioned something about the bandit being a civilian? He was ostensibly that, actually. He apparently robbed hot dog stands with staplers. It was probably for his own good he stayed here eating his sandwich, and Celice wasn't about to argue for him to come with. But she would take the ride- It was saving energy. Her legs could use a rest from all the running.
"And sure, I'll take the ride. Thanks for the offer, Blue Boy." Now for the concern she gave about saying her name, she didn't have a lot of interest in asking others names. Oh, she'd figure it out, just like Gwen's.
The Soldier, Decker
City of Mercy
"Not going to lie- I can't see how it could get much worse than desert city with no people or water around for as far as the eye can see." Maybe he did lie. They could be trapped in just a desert. Or in a dystopian desert, where people descended into savagery to survive another day. Or an dystopian ultra-capitalist cyber city where'd people would be thrown into jail for looking at some executive the wrong way.
Wait, he just came from that one.
"Then what do we do then, if we can't tell where we'll go, we can't tell where one is, and we know where no one is?"
"I HAVE AN IDEA!" Shouted the Soldier, suddenly very interested in the conversation. "The Engineer is an intelligent and true PATRIOT. With his great AMERICAN MIND he can build us something to return us to our home of RED WHITE AND BLUE!"
"Look, I get your trying to help, but out of what? Sand? Concrete? This city looks like it was stripped bare of most anything mechanical years ago. If we get lucky there's a vending machine around, maybe half a car buried under three feet of sand." Decker took the pessimistic route, but was promptly tossed the Soldier's shovel.
"Then we must DIG! Though your British hands may be too DAINTY to dig, my all American hands will trounce these sands with ease! Come on little patriot and Engineer, join us in this search for parts!"
"I'm- I'm from Chicago!" Decker shouted right back, but Doe was already lost in dredging through a pile of sand. "It's...It's not me, right? He doesn't even pay attention half the time!" How the hell did these two- assuming the kid wasn't with them -even put up with this?! Decker had seen many, many individuals who had worn his nerves, but this...He'd take the commie, he'd take the egghead, he'd even take the crazy tech assassin.
But this guy? This was going to be a short lived partnership, Decker could tell.
Líf
The Wilds Village
Victory. How it mocked him.
Cursed with these visions of himself. Visions of people who once were, people who were long dead.
He could remember the day he had completed the accursed ritual. And how those around him died, with each pulse of the cursed heart a live was claimed- birds falling from trees like leaves in the autumn wind. People dying, fine one moment before, the next their bodies cold, on the ground. People he loved...Family...Allies...Gone. In the infernal pulse, he found there to only be two left. Himself, and Veronica.
And then her life was claimed. Then his own. Life in the kingdom he swore to serve, wiped out. A quiet, desolate world left in it's wake.
The heart fulfilled it's promise still. It created a weapon to kill the envoy of death, but at what cost? His people, the people he said he'd protect. And he'd have accursed visions of himself, his family, his sister- all back in one piece, succeeding at a mission he had long dreamed to fulfill himself. How that made his hate burn.
Each resting moments, he'd be reminded of these images- himself celebrating victory -knowing it was something he could never achieve himself. Perhaps that was why he killed so easily. Even the inkling of a promise that could be fulfilled astonished him. He had to serve his people, and if others needed to die for it, why should he care? It was his people to serve, not others. He knew Thrasir felt the same. As he vied for the day he could see his sister, she vied for the day she could see her brother.
He awoke. Líf feeling the cold air around him. The snowy village. The sun on the horizon. Time was running out for one person in the village, but who? Up to them to decide, lest he simply decide on his own.
Though where had that swordsman gone? And the manakete for that matter. His followers...Hmm. They had missions of their own. Perhaps victory too mocked them.
But Líf knew that his outweighed theirs, ten to one.
Commander Cecil
Goldenwalk Streets
"Sir, we have a hit." Cecil's communications kicked back up. It was the engineers working on the preparations. "We've got a large unknown mechanical presence. Approximately one hundred feet tall, forty feet wide. It's last noted location was pinpointed near your troop. We didn't get a good visual on it, so be wary."
"Understood. Over and out." Cecil's grinned at this. "Men, we have a new target. An unknown mechanical presence. It's quite possible it could contain another crystal, or pose a threat to our operations. Either way, we must destroy it before it becomes a problem."
Now that wasn't quite true. In reality, it was a much better idea to search out the crystals. But this was a good chance for Cecil to see Chara's power she apparently had. After all, words meant little in lieu of actions. "I hope you will accompany us, Chara. And your brother as well. Whatever encounter may await us will certainly be fitting sport for whatever powers you possess."
Y'know, Michael had a pretty nice life in retrospect. He had a wife and family that mostly liked him. He was stupidly wealthy thanks to the scores he, Trevor, and Franklin had pulled off about a year before. Trevor kept to himself, meaning no more problems from him. And, most importantly, he had a perfectly legitimate job as a movie producer. After the release of Meltdown, he and Solomon Richards immediately had begun work on another film- 'Alien Prober - A New Generation'. Progress was going well, and sure it probably wasn't good, but that wasn't the point of it! It was nostalgic.
He had been returning from a day of producing. Perfecting his craft. This movie was going to be so eighties it'd slap the audience in the face with it. He was even driving perfectly fine up until then. So of course, that was when his phone rang.
"Michael here."
"Hello, Mr. Townley-DeSanta." A raspy, strained voice answered.
Michael nearly swerved off the road. A car honked from behind him, though he ignored it in favor of figuring out who the hell knew that name. "Who the fuck...?" He glanced at the number- Though found there was nothing but an "Unknown Caller" at the other end of the call, and a number that made no sense.
"I have been. Waiting for. You." The man continued, taking in a deep breath. Apparently he couldn't talk right, stuttering in his speech. Slurring words. What, was he hyped up on some serious amphetamines? "I have a. Job. One that only. You can do with. Your partners."
"Why should I take a job from some strung out asshole like you? What, you stumble on some FIB papers and think it'd be funny to fuck with me?" This guy was obviously just trying to spook him. Trick him into doing some dumb shit, just like the Formage guy. Considering what he ended up doing to Formage's scam, maybe he could see if this guy had a few more braincells in his head.
"I know quite a bit. About you." The man responded back, his tone unfettered by Michael's questions and anger.
"You know my first last name. But sure, tell me, what do you know about me?" His driving had grown erratic now. This guy was really peeving him off.
"You were born in North. Yankton. As Townley, Michael. Worked alongside Trevor." The guy behind the phone seemed winded, taking a deep breath, finishing the sentence afterwards. "Philips. And Brad Snider. After your marriage to Amanda, and the birth of your. Children, Jimmy and Tracey. You wished to leave the criminal lifestyle that Philips and Snider. Enjoyed."
Michael could feel his face scrunching in further anger. Who even was this person? How did they know so much?
"With FIB Agent. Dave Norton. You and he made an elaborate scheme to escape. Your criminal activities. This, however, lead to the death-"
"Alright, alright! You've said enough! I'll do the job." Michael hardly even noticed the fact he accidentally razed off a rear view mirror from a parked car. Or the fact his car was pretty beat up in general.
"Very good. Mr. Townley-De Santa." Another deep breath from the other end of the phone.
"What the hell sort of job is it anyways?" He'd done a lot that year ago. What sort of job would he need to stick his head out for this time?
"Cannot discuss. Here, it is not safe. Come to Fort. Zancudo. 8 pm tomorrow. Sharp. Don't be. Late." The man said in his now trademark choppy speaking. With a drawn out breath, the man hung up on Michael.
"Motherfucker!" Fort Zancudo. They had to break into Fort Zancudo. In less than twenty four hours, they'd need to break into the most heavily guarded military base in all of San Andreas. No time to plan things out, they just had to fucking wing it. He was at his home now, his sports car far worse shape than it had left the studio in. "Fuckin' A!" Michael said again, getting out with another shout.
He was certainly hoping this wasn't a second Haines situation. He liked that where it was- behind him, and in the fucking ground.
But he certainly didn't have any expectations that this wasn't gonna turn into one.
