[SS-I Never]

Juniper waved the girl with the pistol good-bye as she left through the night sky.
Juniper looked back at the guy, and said, "It's no problem, really. The police force and I, and Cynthia, all work together. We basically call each other when either one of us is in need of help." Juniper then remembered something very crucial. She then exclaimed, "We never introduced ourselves!" Juniper then got into her pose, and exclaimed, "My name is Juniper Reeds, and I have the ability to convert my whole body to any material!" Juniper looked at Cynthia, nodding her head to get Cynthia's attention.
Cynthia sighed, and then got into her own pose. She exclaimed, "My name is Cynthia Rivers, and I have the ability to mimic anyones powers by touching anything that has their DNA!"
Juniper then looked at the guy, and said, "And what is your name?"

 

[Godjacob]

"Devin Andrews. My power is I can generate explosive power from my body. A human bomb maker if you will." Devin explained, before hearing about Cynthia's power and realizing something.

"Mimic powers? So that's why I felt my own explosive aura when you touched my shoulder back at the sewer." Devin said, making sense of that rather confusing sucker punch.

Daisy meanwhile had flown back home and soon reentered her unconscious body lying in bed. Daisy took a couple breaths and drank some water before letting out a cough. Once she settled down Daisy let out a grin.

"Well, he said go back to my body. He never said to stay in my body." Daisy said as she soon let out her astral spirit again and flew away. Soon enough the unseen spectral of Daisy was watching Devin and the others talking with each other from the sky.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia then said, "Well, that's great. We all now each other, can we go home now?"
Juniper looked at Cynthia, and said, "Oh, come on. I still have some questions to ask Devin, and if he's going to work for us, we have to show him our base."
Cynthia sighed, and said, "Fine, I'm just really tired right now."
Juniper smiled, and walked over to her motorcycle. She touched the motorcycle, causing her whole body to become the same material. She then was able to stretch out the motorcycle, and made it longer, so that Devin could fit. She reverted back to her normal self, and got on the motorcycle. Cynthia got on afterwards. Juniper then looked at Devin, and said, "Hop on!"

Devin gave a nod as he joined the girls on the motorcycle.

"Ready when you are." Devin said as Daisy watched from above with a grin. She knew she couldn't keep up with the motorcycle, so she stealthy entered the motorcycle. Though she would not take control of it, as to avoid giving anything away. Not to mention...

Don't got a license, much better to let a professional handle this...

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper then exclaimed, "Alright, lets go!" Juniper started running the motorcycle, and they headed off on the streets. Juniper took the motorcycle to a boat dock. She then started to head towards the sea. The motorcycle, and everyone on it, we're now in the air, about to crash onto the sea, but then Juniper pressed a button, and it converted the whole motorcycle into a speedboat. Juniper then lead the group into a cave.
Once inside the cave, lasers started scanning the whole surrounding area. A computer then came out of nowhere, and said, "Voice recognition, please." Juniper and Cynthia then said, "Unidos." The computer then went away, and two giant doors opened up leading the group into the secret lab. Juniper and Cynthia got out of the speedboat. The speedboat reverted back into a motorcycle, and back to its normal size.Juniper spread out her arms, and exclaimed, "This is our secret lab! What do you think?"

The Messenger closed the door behind Xeria and the Limousine immediately started moving. Fraser wiped his face from top to bottom before looking at the girl. "If we're gonna be stuck with each other for a while. We best get to each other's names. I'm Fraser," Fraser said formally introducing himself. He looked out the window and he didn't really recognize this specific route. He'll probably know where he is when they reach it. "Do you live around here? Oh, and this doesn't make us buddies, okay. I only do the talking with Organ you understand? This bloke is no joke, despite being named after an instrument that only gets played at church." He added.

 

[Nintenduck]

Once the group was out of the cave, Steven decided it would be best for him to go back to the aquarium, since his co workers would be wondering where he was. Besides, he still felt bad for what he did, even if he didn't mean to.

Meanwhile, Alex Glider was on a skyscraper, wondering what just happened, when he saw a speed boat driving into a cave. He didn't know what it was doing, but he was very curious. He jumped from the building and glided to the cave, landing on the outside, and held onto a ledge. Then, with great stealth, he glided in and hid behind a pillar, making sure he wasn't seen, and began listening to their conversation.

A cloaked figure stepped out from behind a pillar beside Alex Glider. "Hello, Alex," The figure said in a low, intimidating voice. It was graspy and a messed up voice. He stepped closer to him and held out a briefcase. He sharply opened it, revealing a large pile of money that was too much to count just by briefly looking at it. The figure quickly closed the briefcase once more and brought the briefcase under his cloak again. "That could be yours if you agree to join me, for what I have planned." He pulled out a letter and handed it to Alex. "Information's in here, there's a location and a date. Head there when the time comes and you will meet everyone else involved, good day." he said before going behind the pillar and disappearing.

 

[Godjacob]

Devin inspected the secret lair, his eyes wide at everything around him. Devin was in clear aww. Daisy had the same expression, the invisible astral spirit exiting the bike to examine the secret lab.

And to think, my "hideout" was just some spot in the sewers...

"This...this is amazing..." Devin said after a long period of silence. Daisy remained silent, partly because she didn't want to give herself away despite being invisible and mostly because she quite frankly had nothing to say.

Dom had made it back to the cave that he reside in, It's walls were made of marble that had not been mined and made into pieces for mosaics. Inside he had old pieces of metal and parts littered around which he'd used to try and invent some weapons to hold back the beasts from the summit. On a rickety wood table there was an old bronze bolt gun which he used to bolt some metal to his shoulder and the collar that was around his neck which he'd bolted with that gun and tightened with the ropes on the ceiling. Dom thought to himself maybe I should try to live in the city the Monster's on the summit have been calm for the past few years but then he heared it the scream's of a group of people and the howl of a wolf and then he thought Of course they start something up now having wolves scare humans at least their still on the summit.

 

[Icena]

Xeria was happy to hear that he wasn't going to ignore her the entire time. She took another short sip from the bottle of sparkling water and gulped it down slowly before answering.
"I'm Xeria, and yes, I do live pretty close to here. I moved last year," she replied. "Oh, and about Organ, if you want to do all the talking, just go ahead. You don't even need to tell me twice." Xeria paused for a few seconds. "So, do you know what Organ wants from you?"

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper noticed Devin's awe gazing look as he entered the lab, and smiled. She said, "This is our lab, where we will be partaking our important meetings about catching criminals!" Juniper took Devin to the computer, and turned it on. The computer showed surveillance tapes everywhere in Crimson City. Juniper then said, "This is our computer, we used this to survey the whole city to see if any crimes are happening, so that we can stop them before they get away." Juniper then showed Devin their superhero suits from their past, some other gadgets that they like to use, and some gadgets they took from villains as a trophy when they defeated them. Juniper then said, "I think that's all we need to show you."

Cynthia then looked at Juniper, "Yep, that's all," she then looked at Devin, and said, "There's this question I wanted to ask you. How much money do you need for your sisters medication. We can probably give you all of the money you need for the first week, but for that to happen we need to know the amount. So, what is it?"

 

[Godjacob]

Devin's eyes widened at the offer as he quickly went over the math in his head.

"A-around $100. I think the exact figure was around $102.35 if I'm not mistaken. 5 different pill bottles, each one around twenty bucks. My sister's condition is relative new and unique, so medication costs more. Least that's what the doc says." Devin explained. In the back of Devin's mind, he knew he was probably being overcharged for the stuff. However, there wasn't a price he wasn't willing to pay to help his sister.

Meanwhile, Daisy's astral spirit continued to explore the secret lair, examining the costumes in particular.

This is so cool!

 

[SS-I Never]

"Huh, really?" Cynthia said, "Well, then you're lucky! We get paid around $1000's each week for our superhero deeds!"

Juniper smiled at Cynthia's enthusiasm, and then remembered something. "Oh, Devin! If you're going to work with us now, you're going to need a superhero suit that matches with your superpowers! Do you have any ideas in what you want?"

 

[Godjacob]

Devin couldn't believe what he had just heard. 1,000 dollars per week! This....this was better than he could have ever dreamed of. Tears began to fill his eyes as the weight of what he was a part of now hit him.

With my share, I can easily afford her medication now, and the extra I can save and...and I might be able to afford the operation. This is a miracle!

Devin remained silent as the tears of joy flowed, all he could mumble out was "thank you" before he remembered they asked him a question.

"Oh right, sorry....I guess if I had any suggestions it'd be some gauntlets. That'd be cool..." Devin said, wiping away the tears as he spoke trying to collect himself. Daisy looked on with a smile of her own, happy at her brother's turn of good fortune.

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper smiled, and said, "Alright, and you're welcome. And since you're going to be a part of our team now, we're going to give you your own vehicle." Juniper went up to a weird looking machine, and put her motorcycle inside. The machine started shaking up, and out of the other end came a replica of the motorcycle, with minor changes. The new motorcycle was black, and had flame streaks on the side. Juniper then looked at Devin, and said, "This thing is now yours. It works basically like a normal motorcycle, and it can turn into a speedboat just like ours. You should run along now, you don't want to keep your sister waiting now, do you?"

Fraser respectfully nodded when she introduced herself. He then coughed to the side as Organ was mentioned. "I um...I have a pretty god idea what it's about. But never assume anything," Fraser said as he took a swig of his martini. Fraser noticed the clear colored drink Xeria was holding. "That better not be Vodka...Oh, it's sparkling water? Who drinks that? It'll be less weird drinking vodka," Fraser joked.

The Limousine stopped and Fraser looked out the window, but the door opened before he could have a preview. He stepped out and was greeted by a large skyscraper, that had a large a blue X at the top. This was the X-Force headquarters. This was recently built to specialize on superhumans to match the sudden increase of them.

Fraser approached the grand entrance and went through the large revolving doors. Inside was a very open, high ceiling bottom floor with many business men and woman rushing around. With the occasional, person who seemed to be more than a worker here. The Messenger escorted them to a lift that had glass walls and could look out at the beautiful view of the city. The messenger pressed the top floor after everyone entered.

 

[Godjacob]

Devin gave a nod, before he realized something.

"So, um. How do I get in contact with you guys again? Should I give you my address or something?" Devin asked, wondering how he could answer the call of duty if and when they would need him. Daisy watched from above, giddy that her brother was about to be a real life superhero.

This is so awesome! Not to mention that bike, I can't believe he gets to keep one...

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper looked at Devin, and said, "Your address should be fine for now, but as soon as we give you your costume, everything will be fine. Your costume will have a built in communicator, so we can call you for missions. Your costume will be ready by tomorrow. Now hurry up and go home, I bet your sister is probably already bored just staying in her room."

 

[Icena]

Xeria shrugged in response right before the limousine door was opened. She followed Fraser to the tall skyscraper with a blue X at the very top. Xeria guessed it was the logo for whatever company it was. She just didn't know what it was.
As she stood in the lift with glass walls and looked at the stunning view of the city, she carefully dropped her broadswords on the top of the building. They were getting too heavy for her to hold up.
I'll just take them when we leave, she thought as she continued to look at the amazing view.

 

[Godjacob]

Devin gave a nod, writing down his address on a piece of paper and setting it on a table.

"Okay, I'll be ready whenever you guys are. Thank you so much for this. It means everything to me." Devin said in full gratitude as he got on his high tech motorcycle and drove away, shifting into a boat once he left the lab. Daisy had taken the chance to hide herself inside the high tech motorcycle. Devin had a smile on his face as he made his way back home, ready for whatever this new life would bring him.

I see a bright future for once. I will save you Daisy...I promise you that...

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper smiled, and said, "I sense something in Devin, he looks like he has great potential."
Cynthia walked up to Juniper, and said, "You really do care about people, like how you cared for me back then. I guess that's what I love about you." Cynthia then leaned in for a kiss.
Juniper chuckled, and said, "Oh, you're too much!" Cynthia then gave Juniper the kiss, when suddenly the alarms go off.
Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! There appears to be a figure behind one of the pillars!
Cynthia exclaimed, "What!?" Cynthia grabbed Juniper's arm, and ran towards the pillar to see a man hiding behind it. Cynthia still had Devin's powers, and powered up her arms, and exclaimed, "What do you think you're doing!? Talk... or else!"
Juniper touched one of the machines around her. Her whole body became metal, and she turned her hands into maces.

Devin had reached the shoreline, taking a brief moment to glance back at the open sea where his newfound allies secret base was.

I hope I can be the hero they think I can. I'll certainty give it my best effort...

Daisy meanwhile watched the beautiful scene while inside the motorcycle, her brother oblivious to the fact that she was there.

 

[Nintenduck]

Alex backed away holding up his arms. He didn't think the lab had a security system, but what astonished him more was that it didn't detect him until then. "Oh, I just wandered in here accidentally. It was an honest mistake. I'll be leaving now." He started to walk away, but just as he was walking past them, he punched Cynthia and started running towards the exit. Once there, he jumped up, and started gliding back towards the shore.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia, with her quick reflexes, was able to deflect the punch with her new found explosive powers, so they didn't affect her much. But, the guy was able to get away. "We really need to update our security system," Cynthia said as she shook her hands. "Already on it," Juniper said as she turned on the computer, and started inputting some codes. Cynthia smiled, and said, "I guess I'll go work on the kids suit." Cynthia then headed into a section of the lab, got out pliers and started making the suit.

It was finally morning, and Juniper and Cynthia were passed out in the lab. The computers alarm clock woke them up. Juniper was tired, and said, "Cynthia...can you pick up Devin, please?" Cynthia, a bit sluggish as well, said, "Alright. Don't get into too much trouble while I'm gone." Juniper replied with, "I won't." Cynthia then got onto the motorcycle and headed out.

Cynthia looked at the slip of paper Devin gave her, and finally found his address. She walked up to the door of the house, and started knocking on it. She had already taken of her suit, so she wouldn't look suspicious.

 

[Godjacob]

"Come on bro, just one time!"

"No, the answer is no. You are not driving that thing. We are not having this discussion."

Devin and Daisy had been enjoying some breakfast, while their mother already left for her morning job. Naturally this meant Devin was regulated to making breakfast, on the plus side he had developed decent cooking skill. The siblings had been in a friendly argument about whether Daisy could drive Devin's new bike when he heard a knock on the door. Devin opened it, and soon Cynthia greeting him.

"Oh, hi Cynthia. Glad you found the place." Devin said, greeting the heroine in an old cooking apron.

"Is your superhero buddy here!?" Daisy said with excitement, the girl going over to greet Cynthia in person, a big friendly smile on her face.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia smiled, and said, "Wassup, Devin! I'm glad I came!" Cynthia patted Devins back, probably a little too hard, she didn't know her own strength. Cynthia then noticed Daisy, and patted her head, "So this little cutie is your sister!? My name's Cynthia what's yours?"

 

[Godjacob]

Daisy's grin only grew.

"My name's Daisy. Official superhero sidekick!" Daisy said with pride at her own self appointed title.

"I told you before, you are not my sidekick." Devin said with a glare, taking a moment to rub his back. Cynthia could hit hard, even when she didn't mean to. Daisy childishly stuck her tongue out at her brother.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia chuckled a little, and said to Daisy, "Well, I bet you're the best sidekick anyone could ask for!"
She then turned her attention to Devin, and said, "Juniper wanted me to pick you up. So let's hurry up, and get going." Cynthia then went outside and got back on her motorcycle.

 

[Nintenduck]

Now, Alex was back in the alleyway looking at the letter he was given. He still wasn't sure if he wanted to go or not. He definitely wanted to get revenge on the city, and this might mean he could have a job. He didn't have anyone he could bring along, but, reluctantly, he decided that when the time came, he was going to go there.

 

[Godjacob]

"Got it." Devin said as he prepared to leave on his own bike, before turning to Daisy. "Now, I don't want you pulling that stunt you did yesterday. So stay here; both in body and spirit." Devin sternly said, as Daisy frowned before giving a reluctant nod.

"Okay bro, I promise not to cause any trouble." Daisy said as Devin gave a nod before he closed the door behind him and went to his bike, pulling up next to Cynthia. Inside Daisy smirked before she went to her bed to lay down.

I promised I wouldn't cause you trouble, so long as I do that he can't call me a liar...

Daisy then had her astral spirit exit her body before it flew and went inside Devin's bike, remaining undetected and dormant.

"Ready when you are." Devin said to Cynthia.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia chuckled, and said, "I really like your sister! She has some spunk! But we shouldn't keep Juniper waiting, let's go!"
Cynthia then headed towards the boat dock, and was able to get on sea in her transformed speedboat. Cynthia looked at Devin, and said, "We changed the security system, so we added your voice for recognition. The computer will pop up in your face, and all you have to say is 'Unidos."' Cynthia then headed into the entrance of the cave, said "Unidos," and went inside of the lab.
Cynthia ran up to Juniper, kissed her, and said, "I'm back, babe! And I brought Devin!"

The ding went off to signal that they had reached the final floor. The doors opened and what greeted them was a large room, filled with a long table probably used for big meetings. Fraser walked forward and sat at the nearest end of the long table.
Shortly after, A man in a tropic shirt and cargo shorts to go with his flip-flops entered the room.
"Glad you could join me on such short notice, Assassin." The man cheers confidently as he walks over to them. The man holds his hand out for a handshake to Fraser. Fraser simply gives him a blank stare and looks away. The jolly man squints his eyes at Fraser then turns his attention to Xeria with a big grin again.

"Why I never knew the cold blooded killer had a sidekick. My name's Organ, it's a pleasure meeting you," Organ said as he held his hand out to Xeria. Fraser gave him evils as he made the sidekick comment.

 

[Godjacob]

"Unidos"

Sure enough, it did register his voice as Devin drove himself inside the secret lair. Devin got off the bike and gave a wave to Juniper.

"Hi, I'm here." Devin said, still a little nervous over all this. Daisy took the chance to get out of the bike, the invisible spirit scanning the area before she saw Cynthia kiss Juniper, with a single thought running through her head...

Oh how romantic!

 

[SS-I Never]

Juniper looked at Devin, and said, "Alright, it's time to get down to business." Cynthia then went and got Devin's new suit. Juniper than said, "This your new suit! Because Cynthia was able to absorb your powers, making this suit fit your every needs was a cinch." The suit was black, with red streaks right across it, and it seemed to come with spherical gauntlets. And of course who could forget the mask, it was just a regular mask that would cover Devin's eyes, but still let him see. But there was a little problem, the suit looked like it was meant for a toddler.
"The suit is made out Potassium Silicate. I won't go to far into detail, but just know your suit won't easily catch on fire," Juniper stated. Cynthia then removed the spherical gauntlets from the suit, and put them on her wrists. Juniper then stated, "These gauntlets are lightweight, so they won't weigh you down. The gauntlets can also amplify your explosive power. Show them off, Cynthia!" Cynthia then got into position, and she let out a giant explosion away from the lab, so she wouldn't damage it. Cynthia then removed the gauntlets, and put them back on the suit. Juniper looked at Devin, and said, "You want to try the suit on?"

 

[Godjacob]

Devin glanced at the suit, he liked aspects about it. The gauntlets especially, however he felt the suite almost looked like it was meant for someone...younger. Still Devin wasn't gonna complain. He couldn't afford to be ungrateful after all they had done for him. Besides if anyone tried to laugh to him about it, he'd just blast their face.

"O-of course. I'd love to try it." Devin said, taking the suit as he began to put it on. Soon enough Devin stood before the girls in full uniform.

"H-how do I look in it?" Devin asked, as he lacked a mirror to judge himself in it. Daisy meanwhile watched from above, half loving the suit and half finding it funny to see her brother in something like this.

Yep, made the right choice going with him...

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia laughed, and said, "OH, come on Juniper! Just tell the kid already! He looks like Robin from the 1920's!"

Juniper then said, "Oh, fine. Devin, that suit actually isn't meant for you, it was just a prank that Cynthia wanted to pull. Here's the real suit." Juniper then pulled out the actual suit, which was bigger than the one prior. "Try this one on instead! And it isn't a joke this time," Juniper said.

 

[Godjacob]

Devin's face was blood red, embarrassed that he fell for that cheap trick as he removed his suit and grabbed the real one.

"S-sure...I'll try it on." Devin said, a low voice as he tried to shake off the sever humiliation. Daisy however took it a little differently...

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Daisy's astral form meant no one could see her, this did not mean no one could not hear her. Devin stopped for a moment, glancing behind him where he heard the laugh.

"Did you guys hear something?" Devin asked, turning to Cynthia and Juniper. Daisy's expression changed to one of panic as she clasped her hands over her mouth.

 

[SS-I Never]

Cynthia looked around, and said, "No, I didn't hear anything. Go ahead, and put on the suit! I worked all night on it, and I want to see how amazing you look in it!"

Juniper looked at Cynthia, and smiled. I'm glad to see that she has warmed up to Devin.

 

[Godjacob]

Devin gave a nod before he put on the official suit, Daisy taking a moment to let out a sigh.

Thank goodness...almost blew my cover...

Soon Devin was in full uniform, and presented himself before Cynthia and Juniper.

"So, how do I look now?" Devin asked once more, feeling better about this suit than the last one.
