Similar to the various Naruto RP’s established across Charms over the years; DBC is a retelling of the original Dragon Ball series set in an alternate universe.

DBC aims to essentially remove every canon villain from the Dragon Ball storyline and replace them with heavily rewritten versions of the villains/story arcs from the movies/promotional material (the Saiyan Saga is replaced with the Garlic Jr Saga, the Cell Saga is replaced with the Bojack Saga, etc).

As some of you might’ve already guessed, many supporting characters from the original story will still be present, but essentially the entire main cast of Z-Fighters (Goku, Vegeta, Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, Puar, etc) are missing for one reason or another.
This is where your oc steps in.

With the original protectors of Universe 7 no longer present, a new band of heroes must rise up and fight to protect their shifted and broken reality…

Arc One: Curse of the Blood Rubies
King Gurumes was once a noble and fair-handed ruler of a small kingdom. Unfortunately, kindness didn’t pay the bills, and the kingdom often found themselves struggling to pull in resources. It was by sheer luck that right when the Kingdom was at its lowest, Gurumes came across the Blood Rubies; priceless gems that would quickly turn his poor settlement into a thriving civilization. The land was lush and perfect for agriculture, the people were happy, and Gurumes was finally able to upgrade from an old, dilapidated ower to a small castle, befitting his title as king.

Sadly, things would start to take a turn for the worse again, as King Gurumes slowly became overcome by an insatiable hunger. He turned cold and aggressive, using the Blood Rubies to pay for an endless stream of the most lavish meals money could buy. He slowly deprived his kingdom of funding and eventually began ignoring them entirely.
Finally, after enough time passed, King Guremes eventually began to mutate into…something.

It was clear now that precious gems residing beneath his land had afflicted him with some type of curse; ancient and powerful. Every ruby he sold only added to the hunger, and the hungrier he got, the more rubies he would sell…
Once the mine beneath his kingdom had run dry, Gurumes officially cracked. In an effort to find more rubies, the mad king sent his army out to begin ripping the land apart, terrorizing the innocent residents of Guremes’ Kingdom in the process.
It was during one of these village raids in which Gurumes discovered the legend of the Dragon Balls, having discovered one in the possession of an old man who handed it over in hopes of saving his home.

Now, with his sights set on the fabled Dragon Balls, Gurumes quietly disperses his troops across the entire planet, in search of the remaining six.

Name- Tulare
Age: 26
Race: Tuffle
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Height: 5’1” ft.
Weight: 137
Outfit: Tulare wears a dark blue and brown skin tight tuffle flight suit which has a thin metallic fabric giving the wearer minor protection. On the front is the logo of the former tuffle empire. He covers this up with a olive green bomber jacket with orange detail, gray steel toed boots. Black fingerless gloves. He has a belt with various pouches and metal casings covering them. He keeps all sorts of tools in these pouches including a retractable rifle staff.
Appearance: He has long silvery blue hair, extremely pale skin, violet eyes with deep eye bags underneath from sleep depravation, a smug grin at all times, and he's fairly tone, albeit short and toned. Much like ya boy Krillin and Tuffle in general.

Personality: Much like his father, Tulare is a very meticulous man that wants everything done a certain way, especially when it comes to tech. Because Tulare spent his whole life bouncing around in space, he oftentimes appears very stoic. Rarely ever does he let anyone see his true self. Behind his impassive behavior, deep down he's an eager optimistic man with a child-like sense of wonder as he curiously explorers the stars wondering what he will see next. He takes great pride in his creations and gets easily angered when such tools are misused or damaged. There are two things he values most in life, tech and home.

Tech is the most interesting thing to him. His father put great value in tech and so does Tulare. He enjoys taking apart tools and machinery and putting them back together. more importantly, he enjoys figuring out ways to implement useful parts and concepts into his own tech. Home is the second most important thing he values. Home is the one place you should always feel safe. Nobody should ever take the feeling of security away, and he will fight to defend this idea.

Inventory: A portable hand held jetpack that can launch the user roughly 15-20 feet in the air.

Tulare’s tools - Various tools and equipment for making fixing machines and tech devices.

Portable computer. A sphere that creates a holo-screen and acts as an interface where he can remotely access his father’s research on the go.

Weapons: Tulare’s staff. Tulare’s staff was once a tuffle mining laser. A tuffle mining laser is a scepter rod with laser blasting capabilities. A Tuffle mining laser fires high powered piercing plasma bolts that can blow away chunks of rock. They are used by miners to dig up various minerals and resources. They rely on battery packs that are solar powered.

Tulare’s staff is special in a sense that he increased the length and gave it tougher plating to give staff fighting combat abilities as well as retract back for easy storage. He replaced some parts in his staff to allow his laser to fire more precise piercing shots that can better penetrate through strong armor or dense muscle. It also has a switch which allows it to be used as a mining laser again.

Robots: Rg-4b8 - Rg-4b8 or Redgie for short is a robot similar in design to giru but olive green and has two orange eyes. One on the front and one in the back. Redgie is a one foot tall multi-purpose bot with various functions. The first is to scan environments for useful materials and resources. It can scan ki, detect power levels up to a thousand, detect nearby heat signatures and perhaps one day search for dragon balls. It is not a combat droid and cannot assist in battle in any way shape or form and thus has an emergency Blaster pack that allows it to move for brief periods at extreme speed to flee from would-be attackers. It cannot carry Tulare so if Tulare needs to escape, he must fid his own method of escape or way to deal with hostile threats.

Vawk: Vawk is a badly damaged robot that is missing an arm, two legs and has a heavily damaged torso that looks similar in design to the cyclopian guard. When fully repaired, Vawk stands at 8 ft tall and is primarily a melee combat droid with explosive punches and can fire four mid-range explosive rounds. Vawk has jump jets which allows the robot to jump 30 ft into the air.

Powers:abilities: For now, his ki abilities consist of basic ki blasts. As he grows stronger, so will his ki attack list grow.
Tulare is a tech wiz and expert on making robotics.

Power level: His power level is currently at 12

Fighting style: Staff fighting- Tulare Is skilled at melee combat with a goshakubo.

Skilled marksman- Tulare has used a rifle most of his life and is extremely deadly with one.

However he is grows stronger, he will make stronger, more durable and more powerful robots that can assist him in combat and make up for what power he is lacking. His robots serve many different purposes thus making him a somewhat versatile fighter.

Backstory: Tulare grew up in space. He never really knew his home planet of tuffle but his father was a man named Bergamot. Bergamot was head of the tech/research developers and one of the brightest minds the tuffles had. He talked about reclaiming it one day. He never really explained how. He had designs for a mega weapon that he described as theoretically being capable of wiping out all saiyan life on their planet. However such a notion was purely theoretical and they lacked the resources needed to turn such a blueprint into reality. Tulare didn’t share his father’s optimism in his schematic but kept it, even years after his father eventually died.

Tulare spent most of his life in a spaceship, never really settling on a planet for more than two months. Each time he made friends they’d pack up and leave again. Each time taking and giving from the planet. They’d give all sorts of useful technological advances and in return they would leave with as much resources as they could get their hands on before leaving. Oftentimes building larger ships and various robots in the process. Tulare’s father built many robots for different tasks. Some robots were built for mining operations. Some were built for surveillance, and others for security/protection. He had a few other schematics that he never used, but were designs for powerful mech

Because Tulare spent most of his life in space, his only consistent friends were his father and his droids. His father would not allow him to befriend any of the worker droids he had made, however he was a somewhat kind man that was not completely careless and was very encouraging of his son in building robotics of his own. By the age of 12, he made his first robot. It walked around for a few minutes before ultimately exploding. He worked on building robots for nearly a year before making his first successful robot and naming it Rg-4b8. Nicknaming it Redgie. Redgie had no true purpose and had no personality. It followed Tulare and that was it. It could walk on flat terrain but could not climb, jump or walk on uneven flooring. Redgie couldn’t even communicate nor did it have arms. His father referred to Redgie by this point as a ‘piece of junk’, but Tulare loved Redgie and this was where his passion for robotics would take a life long turn.

Each time they visited planets, Tulare would upgrade Redgie, but never fully getting the satisfaction of an approval from Bergamot who deemed the robot as ‘slightly better but needs more work’ each time. Bergamot was a very harsh critique, but also his best source of helpful advice and tips. The first thing Tulare gave Redgie was a voice box he made all by himself. As a result, he mispronounced words and had broken speech at first. Eventually giving it better legs for walking, then arms, and eventually the ability to levitate off the ground entirely. That was one of the hardest things to understand. Even with his father giving him small pieces of advice every now and then. By the time Tulare was 18, he had built five other robots including a combat bot named “Vawk”.

Vawk was a work in progress and nearly cost Tulare an arm when the robot malfunctioned. By the time he was twenty-two he had fully built Vawk and moved on the various other robots. Tulare stopped making robots for himself by this point and had moved on to helping others. Much like his father, Tulare helped others. Which really struck a nerve with Tulare because most of the time when they went to inhabited planets, they were oftentimes underdeveloped and didn’t understand how the tech worked so most of the time it felt like he was hand holding and doing all the work which was even more bothersome since this was cutting into his lazy time. He buckled down though and managed to get stuff done.

One of the planets he traveled to was called Boksing. On Boksing he learned some extremely useful staff fighting skills. Which is where he began to spend much of his time turning his mining rod into a staff fit for combat. He stayed on that planet for two months. Eventually he and his father left, but he hadn’t forgotten that planet. Bergamot would die two years later, leaving Tulare with all of his father’s robots and ship. He visited several remote planets throughout parts of the galaxy but the most notable planet he visited was the one where he first learned staff fighting from. He had kept up the practice and had much improved on his own. He returned to that planet to refine his abilities where he stayed a full year.

Even though Tulare was alone, he still had all of his father’s notes and years of wisdom on his supercomputer. It held more than three lifetimes of data on it. Far more than Tulare ever truly memorized in a few short years. He kept the knowledge and made several copies of it in case one was ever destroyed, he could fall back to a backup computer. He kept one such supercomputer in a secret vault on Deimos, a moon of mars and another one on one of the moons just outside Boksing.

Eventually Tulare’s travels would take him from mars to eventual earth. By the time he was 25 he had made his way to earth, but unfortunately due to some complications, he was unable to safely land his ship. He crashed on a remote jungle island. He had managed to activate a stealth field around his ship but was unable to repair it. Nobody inhabited the island except for plants and a few animals. If anyone managed to see where his ship was, it would look like a large moss covered rock covered in prickly thorn plants. Most of his robots were damaged in the crash including Vawk who was already missing a few limbs. Redgie was the only robot he had that was fully operational. Tulare had made his way to the mainland via swimming and partial flying at he leapt through the water with a portable hand held jet boost.

Burgamot is a type of orange

Accepted, me boy.

Name: Gyoza Ceric
Age: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Appearance: View attachment 946882Height: 6’2”
Weight: 184lbs

Inventory/Weaponry: A capsule case capable of holding six capsules.

Capsule #1: Ceric’s Speeder- A motorcycle modified by Dr. Ceric to aid Gyoza on his travels. Its both incredibly durable and capable of consistently and accurately going nearly 200mph. If it runs out of gas, Gyoza is capable of switching the engine over to electric power, which he can then charge (up to five hours) with a custom attachment that’s capable of siphoning power from his cybernetic limbs.

Capsule #2: Camp- Produces a fully functional camp. Includes a moderately sized tent with a sleeping bag, lamp, first-aid kit, and a small tool chest already set up inside. Also produces a small, pre-made campfire and a stack of chopped firewood.

Capsule #3: Rations- Contains a fully functional, half-sized fridge with a clunky, solar-powered generator attached to the back. Much like the motorcycle, this fridge has a custom attachment that allows him to charge it (for up to twelve hours) with his cybernetics.

Capsule #4: Miscellaneous Supplies- This capsule simply contains a large, wooden crate filled with things such as spare clothes, hygiene producs, raw materials for repairing his cybernetics- things of that nature.

The last two capsules are spares, just in case he ever comes across something he needs.

Powers/Abilities:

Cybernetic Augmentations- Both of his prosthetics are constructed of a metal alloy several times more durable than Gyoza, himself. These limbs have a plethora of unique uses, but must be plugged into a wall socket and charged for several hours, every few days.

Hyper Mobility- Every joint in said prosthetics has a 360 degree range of motion, allowing for inhuman movements and contortion.

Arm Shield: Gyoza’s robotic arm is capable of expanding into a small kite shield. While Gyoza himself is only immune to low caliber firearms, this shield is entirely bulletproof and even capable of deflecting some laser weaponry.

Bladed Boot- Gyoza’s capable of extending a five-inch, razor-sharp blade from the end of his robotic foot. Said blade is easily capable of puncturing nearly all other metal alloys with relative ease.

Fighting Style: Gyoza primarily studies kickboxing- focusing on large, sweeping kicks as it suits his cybernetic upgrades rather well.

Power Level (Or Equivalent): 15 (Despite having cybernetic upgrades that are more durable than himself, Gyoza’s robotics were created to be balanced with his real limbs in terms of speed and strength, meaning they provide no real boost in power)

Personality: Gyoza’s a complex character. His attitude towards individual people may shift at a moment's notice for no apparent reason. He's highly observant, and likely a bit too analytical about most of his decisions. Other than that, he's pretty much your average young man.
Pragmatic yet optimistic. Loves a good challenge and likes testing the boundaries of both himself and others. He sees the world as an adventure yet to be had.
A bit mischievous for someone who claims to be a ‘peacekeeper’. He tries to make light of most situations and even cracks a joke here and there. He can be very sarcastic and rather cynical when making personal comments, showing his split personality- almost like the sides of a coin. Whichever version someone interacts with is entirely dependent on their approach.

Backstory: Gyoza’s biological parents were Neero, who was an arrogant pro boxer, and his trophy wife, Ula. When the pair found out they had a child on the way, they were hesitant about keeping it, as they ‘didn’t want to give up their freedom’. Upon Gyoza’s birth, they discovered that their baby was missing his right arm and leg due to a deformity. Now, the choice to get rid of him was easy enough for them.
Unfortunately, Neero had become rather famous in the boxing scene, so the couple were idolized by many. They knew there would be outrage from their fans if they were to willingly get rid of their child. To mitigate this, the couple opted to hire a man who would leave the malformed baby in the landfills near the edge of Central City. They would simply play the disappearance of the baby off as complications during childbirth, and went on to live their lives peacefully.

Fortunately, this is not where the child’s story ends. As it just so happened, a kind, aged scientist had been wandering the waste fields to scavenge, when he heard the cries of the abandoned child in the distance. Upon locating the boy and taking note of his deformities, the scientist saw no other option but to take the boy back to his cabin on the outskirts of the city and make sure he received proper care.
Dr. Ceric would proceed to take the child in, clean him up, get him warm and fed, then sit in deep contemplation; not knowing what he should actually do with the boy.
After several days of consideration, Dr. Ceric began to form an attachment to the young one, and inevitably opted to raise the boy as his own. He named the child Gyoza and fashioned the baby some makeshift prosthetics to get him used to the idea of wearing them from an early age.

As the years went by, Dr. Ceric continued to make gradual upgrades to the boy's prosthetics. When Gyoza took an interest in fighting, the old scientist decided to restart from square one; developing an entirely new set of prosthetics, more advanced than any iteration available for public access.
Though Ceric knew this wouldn’t be enough, as more and more monstrous beings had been popping up across the earth in recent years. He took it upon himself to develop various forms of advanced training methods in order to aid Gyoza in going beyond his normal human limits. This ranged from simple things such as a tennis ball launcher that was modified to fire dramatically faster than normal, to more complex things such as ‘scrapbots’ that threw random punches for sparring.
In the end, Gyoza had combat in his genetics, and it shined through as he managed to quickly surpass what was believed to be ‘normal’.

Gyoza is now seventeen and has slowly started to notice his progression getting slower and slower. This eventually became so apparent that the young man decided to finally travel out away from home, in search of greater challenges.
While Dr. Ceric was hesitant about seeing his adoptive son go, he knew the boy was capable. Plus, the old man’s door would always be open, should he ever need his help.

Denied.

Name: Yatapi (Anagram of Pitaya, otherwise known as Dragon Fruit)

Age: Yatapi has lived for about 15 years now

Race: Saibaman

Gender: Male

Sexuality: N/A

Appearance: While the shape of his body is identical to all other Saibamen known to the world, Yatapi’s colors appear widely different from the normal green pattern used by these creatures. His head and limbs appear cactus-green while his torso, hands and feet are more of a cherry-red. His eyes are of a bioluminescent white shade while his claws are bone-white with black spots.

Height: 3'9"

Weight: 43.7 lbs

Inventory/Weaponry:
Rusted Blaster - A very old model of a Ray Gun, so old in fact that it still needs to be held by a handle and pulled by a trigger like a firearm. Lacks in firepower compared to common blasters but is still reliably useful. Taken from the shipwreck after the flames had gone out by themselves.

Laser Cutter - A small device used to create a static beam of light hot enough to cut through common metals, typically only for emergencies such as forcibly-shut ship doors or to cut an escape hole in the case of wreckage, less useful for actual fighting. Also acquired from the shipwreck.

Powers/Abilities:
Saiba Swipes - A series of swipes of Yatapi’s claws. Not exactly the most damaging move, or the best one to use given that close quarters is a dangerous deal for the Saibaman.

Saiba Spray - Yatapi uses a special gland hidden within his head to redirect a splash of acid to spit out through his mouth as opposed through his head like normal Saibamen. Not potent enough to melt through flesh nor stone but just toxic enough to cause skin irritation and large amounts of pain.

Fighting Style: Yatapi has no direct combat experience whatsoever, unless you count getting struck by his former masters. Rather, his way of getting out of trouble is fleeing, shooting at people, setting up traps and generally just being a trickster-type of way of fighting. He’s very interested in being taught and learning from people, however.

Power Level: 4

Personality: Yatapi has a more refined intelligence than what should be normally incapable of Saibamen to do - he’s about the same level of intelligence as a child, able to think for himself, be cautious of approaching new things but not yet fully matured to realize the consequences of his actions, hold himself back or even just morality as a whole.

This leads to him having more of a curious, if not cruel attitude by nature of being blissfully unaware of how his actions affect others (other than the basic 'hit to damage' kind of effect). And just like a child, Yatapi can easily be tricked, yet also be made allies. It all just depends on how one interacts with him.

Backstory: Yatapi was planted as one of a group of Saibamen on a planet with soil of strange qualities. What was supposed to be a pack of Saibamen ready to be slaughtered during training came out as a bunch of weak creatures that could be easily killed with just a few hits, but who had in turn grown with an increased level of intelligence than others of their kind. So instead, Yatapi and his kin were used as slaves, serving their space-faring masters obediently. They held unwavering loyalty even in the face of certain death such as self-sacrifice or even just acting as an outlet for anger issues.

During one of their many space-traveling journeys, Yatapi’s masters went out on a hunt to complete a bounty on a dangerous criminal. It was the last time Yatapi and his few brethren ever saw them again, to their relief. After the realization of this, they now had the entire scrapheap of a ship to themselves, though they had no idea how to even get the thing to move, nevermind where to let it take them. So, they did what they do best - press random buttons and hope it works.

If an outsider had been there to see it, they would have witnessed a cosmic vessel randomly move around, buzzing and twitching about like a mosquito as the controls were actively being messed with by the pilots. The ship eventually ended up activating its booster jets and sent it on a crash course through space, eventually ending up crashing into Earth’s atmosphere and all Saibamen, safe for Yatapi, ended up dying in the wreckage.

Really, it was a wonder that Yatapi survived. If the crash hadn’t killed him, the resulting explosion and burst of flames would’ve done him in if it weren’t for the fact that he was flung through a hole in the ship made loose from the initial impact and tossed into a lake before the entire ship went up in flames. Now crashed on an alien planet in the midst of a forest densely packed with vegetation, Yatapi had to make himself useful and was not even given a break to gather his thoughts as he had to quickly swim ashore unless he wanted to find out what that massive black shadow in the water trailing after him was.

Survival was tough, especially for a Saibaman of his caliber. His small stature, nimble figure and clawed fingers meant climbing, hiding and running were his biggest talents. Thanks to being practically as strong as a fruit fly however, he couldn’t really fight back against his enemies. Rather, he used his intelligence to start making traps and leading his pursuers into the dens and territories of larger, more aggressive animals that would clash against his opponents instead and let him off the hook.

As time passed, Yatapi managed to familiarize himself with his environment and grew smarter as a result, but never actually managed to win a fight via direct combat, always opting to stay out of reach and whittle down his targets with throwing rocks, self-crafted weapons and the like. That is, when something, or rather someone unfamiliar wandered into the forest. Some strange-looking creatures, resembling somewhat in shape to his previous owners but not at all appearing the same visually.

He kept his distance and simply stuck to observing them as these things spoke in a language he could not understand and set up strange monuments. Some form of triangular structure, some form of box and only one thing he could understand - a campfire. He never built one himself, but he himself could recognize that it was something he should stay away from. So, keeping up this form of stalking and observation, Yatapi trailed after them stealthily as they took their equipment and left the forest again after some time, finally finding a way out thanks to these strangers. And as soon as he was out, his sights were set into the distance as he admired what lay ahead:

Tall structures, some strange things floating about and more of those creatures just walking about, all dressed in weird apparel. It kind of reminded Yatapi of the things he occasionally saw in his past as a servant to the bounty hunters as he had occasionally glanced out the windows and at the passing structures in the distance as his masters had flown from star to star. Today was finally an opportunity to learn more about what all these things were about and nobody was there to hold him back and punish him for wanting to explore. And it was today that he would take this opportunity by the horns and journey out to his heart’s content.

Always down to see the Saibamen get some much needed love. Accepted.

How long would you say Yatapi has been on Earth?

Name: Kanako Zenkai
Age: 12
Race:
Half-Saiyan
Gender: Male (He/they pronouns)
Sexuality:
Straight

Appearance:
Kanako's pale skin is not his only outstanding feature; he has purple eyes, cyan hair (yes, naturally, so he can't go Super Saiyan Blue at this stage) and... he's skinny as f*ck.
Height: 150cm (4'11" for you Americans)
Weight:
34kg (75lb)

Inventory/Weaponry:
All kinds of tech (he's a tech nerd)

Powers/Abilities:
Moderate Ki manipulation, electrical manipulation, intelligence

Fighting Style:
Aims for pressure points, but other than that he's a power/speed Glass Cannon.

Power Level (Or Equivalent):
19.267

Personality:
Kanako has an interesting personality. He seems to be quiet, but when you get to know him, he talks about all sorts of shit. He discourages the use of old weapons like catapults, saying they're outdated (he's not wrong), instead preferring technology.

Backstory:
Kanako was born on a spaceship headed towards Earth in Universe 6. His mother, a human (lmao the irony) died after giving birth, and his father, a Saiyan, was shot dead by his best friend (the pure irony of the situation). Kanako was raised on Earth, using cool-looking technology to reach high heights. Despite his low power level, he beat the crap out of a top 10 fighter (THE PURELY IRONIC-ASS SITUATION SAGHJASGL;HGR-) and was eventually confronted by Daizuko, a Saiyan from another multiverse entirely (THE FUCKING IRONY-) who was shot dead by the same dude who killed his father (THE ABSOLUTE FUCKING IRONIC-ASS SITUATION VEHRBVREHBG-). Daizuko asked Kanako to go through the portal he'd just set up and, unsurprisingly, Kanako ended up in Universe 7, where he heard of a legendary fighter named Goku (lmao the fucking irony (I'm tired lol)). Intrigued by how Goku was missing, Kanako vowed to train until he could rival Goku's power.

The irony of Kanako's entire backstory lmao-

The irony of Kanako's entire backstory lmao-

1. You’re lacking in a lot of overall details. Is he naked?

2. A bunch of tech? No. Not acceptable. You can’t just ex-machina whatever bs device you want out of nowhere.

3. Your backstory needs to be completely rewritten from the ground up. How did Kanako achieve travel across universes? Why is there basically no actual detail to what happens to him throughout his early life? Why is there specific mention of Goku despite him not being present at all?

4. Stop saying irony. The only thing ironic is how often you’re saying it, despite the lack of obvious irony in your post.

So be honest- did you even read the rp breakdown before you made the oc? Denied.

...I screwed up.
Sorry buddy. Maybe next time.

Name: Flakes
Age: 20
Race: Cerealian/Earthling Hybrid
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Will be decided in the RP

Appearance: Flakes has a well built body, she has medium length spiky green hair and fair skin. Her left eye is a dark shade of green while her right eye is red.
1678980757318.png
Height: 1.65m
Weight: 56kg

Inventory/Weaponry: Nothing notable

Powers/Abilities:

Ki Blasts: The most basic form of Ki attack, Flakes is able to fire blasts of energy through her fingers as if she was firing a gun.

Finger Beam: Flakes can fire energy beams from her fingertips

Energy Coins: Flakes is able to create coin like object through her ki control. She is able to detonate these coins which would result in a small explosion that has the strength relative to a firecracker. However, Flakes' preferred way of using her coins is to ricochet her Ki Blast off them, making some impressive trickshots possible.

Tri-Form: Flakes can create 2 identical clones of herself.

Evolved Right eye: A trait shared by all Cerealians, Flakes' red right eye gives her incredible accuracy.

Fighting Style: Marskmanship and Gun Fu, Flakes can effectively use her skills at both long and short range. Her right eye's accuracy gives her the ability to pinpoint weak points.

Power Level (Or Equivalent): 16

Personality: Flakes was born from an Earthling mother and a Cerealian father. Her mother was named Mill, she was a world renowned martial artist who is a frequent finalist in world tournaments. Her father was a Cerealian farmer named Oat from the planet Cereal. One fateful day, when Oat was out delivering his goods to different planets, his transport ship was attacked by space pirates. The Cerealian did his best to defend himself and was eventually able to drive away the ruffians, however his ship sustained heavy damage and he was forced to make an emergency landing on the nearest planet. That planet being Earth.

Oat's ship crashed down onto an empty field, the same field Mill happened to be training on. When the Cerealian crawled out of the ship's wreckage, he found the Earthling staring at him. This was the two's first meeting. Due to his ship's sorry state and lacking the technical knowhow to fix it, Oat would spend the following years living on Earth, taken in by the woman who first found him. The charitable woman lending the alien a helping hand in his time of need. Through Mill's connections, she hired the best engineer and mechanics she could find to help the Cerealian fix his ship, but even with that it would take quite some time to get it back to a working state.

As the years went by, the two individuals living together began growing closer. Eventually leading to marriage and the birth of their daughter, Flakes.

Oat would remain on Earth for another 10 years, spending time with his daughter and wife, until the day his ship was finally repaired. Although he had a happy life on Earth, Oat still missed his homeworld after being away from it for so long. As such, the Cerealian bid his family farewell but promised he would return for them and flew back into space in his newly repaired ship. It's been 10 years since he was last seen.

While growing up, Flakes inherited her mother's affinity for Martial Arts. Deciding to follow in her footsteps, the young girl began training to become a renown fighter just like her mother.

Now a 20 year old woman, the Hybrid human works as a model during her spare time and has gained some level of fame as both the daughter of a well known and respected Martial Artist as well as due to her own hard work, earning a reputation for herself. She still longs for the day her father returns, wishing he could see how far she’s made it in life.

I really enjoy the concept. Just. Single question- how strong were you thinking Oats is?
Fighters like Roshi and Gohan are still around and renowned as legendary martial artists, so being a world champion is a pretty bold claim.

Psymallard

Previously mallard
Name: Bosek
Age: 52
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight(but taken)

Appearance: Bosek had always been a large-framed man, rippling with muscles; similar in body type with Nappa's absurd build. He has a thick, silver head of hair that goes down halfway down the back of his neck. He slicks back his bangs to fit comfortably under his dark brown cowboy hat. His brow is almost always furrowed into an intense stare. His left eye is covered in a jet black eyepatch, with a nasty-looking vertical scar running beneath it to hint at why it's covered. An equally grey lampshade-style moustache usually hides his pursed lips, and stubble dots his strong, immaculate jawline.
Around and covering his neck is a burgandy cape that's shredded at the end. It usually hangs over his right arm, hiding the bulky robot prosthetic that meets his forearm halfway. The dark metal has spots of rust, but it works most of the time, so Bosek doesn't mind.
There is a huge scar across his chest, telling a story of one of his many battles. On his still-fleshy left hand, he wears a tan-colored leather glove with strips of said leather hanging off the seam on the outside of the arm. His olive slacks are held tight by a black leather belt at the top, and then at the bottom each pant leg is tucked into a black combat boot on the right, and a steel peg leg on the left, each complete with cowboy spurs. A pistol holster hangs off the left side of his belt.
Height: 6'8" (2.03 m)
Weight: ~250 lbs (~113.4 kg)

Inventory/Weaponry:
Robot hand: Can swivel 360 degrees, but wrist movements are limited to back-and-forth, and fingers can only bend.

Peg Leg: When in a pinch, Bosek can pop off the end of his peg leg and use Ki to ignite the gunpowder in a shotgun shell.

Spear: An unremarkable steel-shafted spear.

Revolver: A high-powered six-shooter. Can fracture the cranium of even the most thick-skulled dinosaurs when fired point-blank.

Powers/Abilities:
Ki Blast: He's not all that great with forming his Ki into projectiles, so he has to wind up and pitch these like a baseball.

Afterimage: Bosek enters a burst of speed so fast that he leaves behind an afterimage- a nonphysical illusion of himself in the same pose he was in before he used this ability.

Extinction Elbow: Empowering his elbow with Ki, he strikes. This move is usually used as an elbow drop, as this attack scales in power directly related to how far he falls while using it.

Fighting Style: Having fought larger, tougher dinosaurs for the past decade, his fighting style is more tactical. He's a bait-and-punish type of fighter, so he goads enemies into attacking and then counterattacks. Said counterattacks are often swift, precise, and lethal, but if a creature is able to survive this (whether by strength or speed), Bosek is also experienced in wearing down his foe and outlasting them until he gets his opening.

Power Level: 18(I'm really bad at assigning numbers to something as vague as power levels, so take this with a grain of salt)

Personality: Bosek is an intense man. Usually he's not much for words and is very blunt, but get him excited and you'll catch him yelling at the top of his lungs. But despite his tough and intimating exterior, he's a big softie that has an undeniable urge to help all those he meets, even if he doesn't particularly like them. He's a very moral man, and will only lie or cheat in extreme situations. Bosek tends to avoid fighting people, but will never raise a hand against a woman, child, or cute animal(unless it's a dinosaur). He harbors a burning hatred of dinosaurs in his heart, right next to the deep sorrow of the loss of his family.

Backstory: Bosek grew up in the badlands, where money was bad and the conditions were worse. It took grit, but Bosek made it through his childhood with a gleaming smile. It helped that he had a dream: to become a great martial artist. His father took him to watch tournaments as a child, which sparked his passion for competitive martial arts.
Through unwavering hard work he would realize this dream, becoming a professional fighter. For over a decade he made money off of his combat skill, climbing into the lower-to-mid echelon of the big leagues. Thoroughly impressive, but he was rarely the main event.
This all changed when he was in his mid-thirties. That's when he met Ai. Bosek fell hopelessly in love with the woman the first time he laid eyes on her. She was perfect... except for one thing: she hated violence. The love of his life now conflicting with his career, Bosek had a difficult decision to make. He looked back on his enviable career; he had passed his prime. It was time to start a new chapter in his life.
Seven years later, he and Ai were married, with two children and another on the way, living out in the beautiful countryside. With beauty came danger, as Bosek came to learn in the hardest way. He'd knew it once as a child, being so far away from civilization was more dangerous. He went out for groceries on that fateful day, and upon coming home, he witnessed an albino tyrannosaurus stomping away from the remains of his house. His family nowhere to be found.
Without his wife and children to satiate his heart, it plunged into anger and fury. He took up violence, but as opposed to his competitive younger years, this violence was bitter; fueled by hatred. For the next decade he fought to kill the prehistoric scourges of the island, eating their meat and sometimes selling their parts for profit when he required money. He began his crusade with a whole band of hunters, however the brutal and deadly nature of fighting massive lizards whittled that number down to two(Bosek and Iglaf), both of which agreed to go their separate ways. Bosek was not invincibile, a fact he'd gotten many reminders for in the form of scars and lost body parts.

Aye- Bosek and Gyoza have missing limbs that parallel one another. Nice.
I do have a pretty good sense of power levels, myself, and I’d suggest you boost him up much closer to the cap.
I’d wager he might be the strongest oc at the start, based off his prior experience.
Other than that, accepted!

Oh it's not Oat that's the fighter, it's Mill. I wasn't sure how much of the OG cast remain in this retelling so I can change it to lower the power scale.
Oh my bad. The bias towards humans made me immediately assume it was Oats, despite you directly stating Mill is the fighter.

As for the og cast- mostly mentors and support characters. It’s really only villains and the main cast of Z Fighter that are gone.

And thank you- it’s was just that an active world tourney winner would be a decent bit stronger than some of our earlier threats. Appreciate the adjustment.

Alrighty- I’m capping the rp at six for now, as I think it’s a solid number for the setting. Just need @Hecotoro sheet and everyone will be accounted for.

Sweet, don't gotta tell me twice to buff him lol.
I gotta say, I really dig the concept. I adore underdogs, especially when it comes to universes as powerful as Dragon Ball, so I find the concept of flushing out the main cast really neat.

Thanks, glad you like it. The whole basis for the rp was just that- having a chance to see lesser used pieces of DB media finally shine

Speaking of- I know this goes without saying, but this rp is intended to be highly collaborative, with genuine input coming from everyone.
So if anyone has any ideas/changes in mind for later DB movies, feel free to voice them.
I want everyone to contribute plot-points to their favorite DB movie- at least.

Gyoza and Bosek both have missing limbs and both Flakes/Tulare both have history involving a certain tailed warrior race. Technically three if you count Yatapi.

My assumption for Yatapi was that Saibamen are likely a purchasable product across the intergalactic market.
I mean if Saiyan’s used em as fodder, they can’t be hard to come by.

I also assume that’s why Devvoid was intentionally vague about their masters- not certain if it should be Saiyan or not. It was a smart move on his part.

As for the Tuffle and Cerealian- I almost see Cerealian as the new-Gen concept for Tuffles.
Super curious to see two races that are so historically connected interact.

Even in this case, I didn't mention it in the backstory since I was starting to think it dragged on a bit but Mill's retired now.

It’s fine either way. She can still be a genuinely significant warrior- I just don’t wanna see oc/oc support go above… say 50 atm?

For reference, Master Roshi is in the low 100’s and Grandpa Gohan is in the high 90’s.

Is King Gurume's antics a secret or would all the helicopter and stuff receive news coverage?

As of right now, almost no one knows anything about what’s happening in the Land of Gurumes. The Helicopter breakout is very recent, only just now getting passed around via word-of-mouth in the major cities.

In general, law enforcement might not even really know what to do. There are some odd two hundred helicopters rogue all across the world.

Though Gurumes’ kingdom has been seeing this destruction for awhile now- so I could totally believe some farmer who barely escaped with his life has run into a nearby city to warn others of Gurumes.

Edit: I went ahead a re-opened the rp for one more member as Hec was having some second thoughts (which is fine- I’d rather you say your hearts not in it) so feel free to invite someone if you think they’d be a good fit.
