Private/Closed Devil hunter's mayhem Discussion

Schrift

Previously Schrift007
*spins on spinny chair* I've almost been expecting you! Well sort of... Yup! I'm back at it again with a new rp and this time it seems to be a weird combination of chainsaw man, fairy tail and god of highschool. Don't ask why I thought those would mix, I just want balls to the walls insanity.

As long as there have been humans, there have been devils and gods. Devils ravaged the lands, hunting humans as their main food source. During the early times of humanity, their only defence against Devils were their large numbers and primitive weapons. Though as time moved, a group of humans decided to get help against the Devils. They travelled the lands looking for the gods. This band of humans were the ones who managed to change the course of human history. After decades of travelling it is said only a few humans returned from the great journey and with them they brought the power of the gods. This was the first ever guild. With this new found power, they managed to help fight back the devils and help protect humanity. However, as time moved on more and more people started to be born with a natural link with the gods. This allowed these humans to access borrowed power from the gods and give them inhuman abilities. Though it was only a fraction of the human race who naturally inherited these abilities. Well that's the story told to the little kids of Faselei.

Now you're probably wondering, where does my oc fit into this? Well you see my child, for those humans who's crazy enough. The ones with probably more than a few screws loose, well they decide to be demon hunters. Those nutmegs join guilds, banding together to slay demons that cause mayhem and chaos. But why must humans take such measures against Devils? Well, you see, Devils draw strength from humanities' fears. This is why a spider devil will always be so much stronger than a tomato devil or a sheep devil. The stronger a devil is, the more human like it's form is. However some devils choose to keep their devilish forms instead of their human ones. Though a devil isn't too different to a human, they both need to eat and drink and both can be killed with enough force. The best way to defeat Devils are to behead them or to slay their heart. Though if the person has borrowed power it makes the job slightly easier. Now what can borrowed power do and what is it? Well to put it simply, Borrowed power is literal power borrowed from the gods that allow a person to access a fraction of the god's powers. For example if there was someone who borrowed power from the god of fire, they'd have access to the power of fire. If it was the god of war they'd have an ability to make them better in combat. Some can be born with this link with a god, while others aren't as lucky. It is said that there are special operations one can go under to make their borrowed power stronger, though that is mostly reserved for the rich. To put it simply, think of Borrowed power as magic. It can be imbued in objects, and it really has no bounds as long as someone is born with it.

Now remember those guilds I mentioned? Well most guilds don't just hire people off the streets, key word being most. Welcome to the Himawari Guild, one of the much lesser known guilds. For those who do know them, they're described as absolute nutmegs and monsters on the field. But what truly separates them is the fact that they allow devils to join them. They promise a safe place for the devils in return for service, though it has made them a controversy there is no doubt that they get the job done. And to make it better today is your lucky day! For some odd reason you decided to join the nuttiest guild out there, and unsurprisingly you were accepted. Now may the chaos begin.

Rules:
  • Shockingly you have to follow pokecharm's rules, now I wonder why
  • Though this is a heavy combat rp, there will be plenty of times for character interaction
  • I won't deny romance but it isn't the main focus of this rp
  • Add the words, Kiwi on Pizza, somewhere in your Bio to show that you've read the rules
  • Max number of character is 4
  • Please don't be really OP when making your character, everyone has their flaws. I don't want someone's oc to be an edge lord who ha mastered 100+ martial arts and they can summon every god in heaven while also being able to fight the strongest devil with ease.
  • Fighting styles can be made up, but as I said for the previous rule, don't make them too op.
  • If you choose your race to be Devil, none of these devils are going to be allowed: Death devil, Darkness devil, control devil, plague devil, war devil, time devil and the hell Devil.

Character Template-

Name: Ikarus Shinmon (ikus for short)

Age: 16

Gender: male

Race: human

Appearance: Standing at 5'7, with a lean muscular build Ikarus definitely stands out a bit. His hair is a cherry blossom pink and his eyes are blue like the sea. His hairstyle is messy and unkept. His eyes always seem to have that buzz of energy and warmth. On most occasions, Ikus is seen wearing a simple white shirt with a simple short sleeveless jacket over it while on the bottom he wears baggy shorts that reach just past his knees. As for footwear, he normally wear a pair of leather boots that reach up to his shins and touch his shorts. On his waists is his sword, a simple cutlass and on his back are his dagger and round shield.

Personality: He matches how he looks, with a loud and bright smile on hi face. He's practically a walking talking sun. He's so optimistic and just someone who's into fighting. On first glance you'd think he's a bit of an idiot and to be honest you wouldn't be completely wrong but he's not all stupidity. Sure he acts like a child and sure he needs to learn to control his behaviour but in combat he's a lively fighter. He's not one to go down without a fight and boy does he know how to put one up. Though it does seem that he has a slight nerve that is always touched, the fact he has no Borrowed power. Being born without one, he is left with only his own fists to help him fight. Most times he plays it off as a joke but it does cause him to be in a bad mood for a good while. During the rare moments where Ikus gets angry, you're gonna be scared. When he's angry, he won't hold back his fists as he flies into a frenzy. Like a lot of people, his greatest fear is simply growing up. He doesn't want to grow up, plus he also has a slight fear of the death Devil. But he's been doing his best to keep that under wraps.

Fighting style: Ikus fights with what is a combination of parries and counters, his weapon decision is a sword and shield, if not using his sword then a small dagger. What's surprising is that sometimes he switches the roles of his weapons unpredictably, making him attack with the shield and defend with the sword. Any opponent fighting him needs to keep a close eye on his movements since almost all of them are unpredictable as he not only uses his weapons, but also the environment and his own body to his advantage. Even without his weapons, he's always moving and fighting. Some could describe it to dancing with the way he moves and attacks without weapons.

Borrowed power/Ability: N/A, yup a Devil hunter with no borrowed power.

Weapons: A simple cutlass, no magic potential. His shield seems to be durable and slightly lighter than it appears but nothing too drastic. As for his dagger, it gives him the simple ability to teleport to its location. Though it has a range and too far out will mean it won't work.

Backstory: Born as the younger brother to the 4th guild master, you'd think he'd have some strong ties with the gods but I guess the gods were feeling a bit tipsy since he never was gifted with such power. No, he didn't get a gift whatsoever. He was born giftless, he has no power. Even though his sister has the ability to destroy Devils with ease, Ikus just didn't have that gift. Though that didn't weigh him down, unlike a lot of borrowed power users, Ikus trained himself to make himself the best version of himself he can be. Sure he's still far off from that but he's crawling there, and he's going to make it one day as he will take over as the next guild master... well if he's strong enough, no point in protecting others if you can't protect yourself first.

Other: If I could figure out some snarky comment I'd put it here but I'm blank

Name: Mizu Lisan

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Devil

Appearance: Mizu is about 6'1 when standing, with obsidian black skin. She's more beast than humaniod, and has a hard time standing on two legs, so she often lopes around on four legs when she isn't among humans. Her hands are paw-like, though are surprisingly deft and capable, and she has to be careful because of the claws the tip each finger. She has a long, thin tail that ends in a white tuft. Her hair is almost mane-like, and is a brilliant white. Her eyes are a surprisingly soft brown. She is often glowering, and when you combine that with her fangs, she's not the most friendly of types. She often wears a dark blue tunic over a gray shirt, gray leggings, and no shoes. On top of all of that, she wears a black cloak, with the hood pulled over her head most of the time.

Personality: She's the type of person that looks just done with everything all the time. A serious pessimist, she honestly only lightens up when she's fighting, whether it's in an actual battle, or just sparring. Being a beast-like devil living with humans, Mizu is often just considered weird among the people who have learned to not be terrified of her. As in, likes Kiwi on Pizza weird. She is pretty feral, and if she adsorbs enough fear from people, or someone she cares for gets hurt, she will often fly into a blind rage. Though she'll never tell anyone, her greatest fear is fire. She will often skirt far around torches in buildings, and will sit several feet away from any bonfire.

Fighting style: She prefers to slash and hack with her claws and teeth, using her strength and speed to her advantage. She never plays defense, and is always pushing at her opponent, though it turns into a bit of a problem if her opponent gains the upper hand. While she does like to charge straight into a battle, she'll often use her bow to pick off approaching enemies from a distance before engaging with them.

Borrowed power/Abilities: If it wasn't obvious, she feeds off humans fear of wild beasts, like bears and wolves. Along with having a beast-like appearance, she can create illusions of feral animals, often adding to peoples fear and giving her a little kick of power. She can also sometimes enlist animals to help her fight, but it's so rare of an occurrence that even she forgets that she can do it most of the time.

Weapon: Her bow is normal enough, made out of maple wood and engraved with symbols the even Mizu doesn't know the meaning of, though it's to big for a normal human to even hold properly, much less shoot. Her quiver does have the ability to create special arrows if she supplies it with energy, and she'll often use it to make smoke arrows. It can also make fire arrows, but she isn't going there anytime soon.

Backstory: Because of her fear of fire, and maybe because she has a small sense of justice, she'd often be sympatric for women wrongfully burned at the stake for being witches, so she'd sneak into nearby towns to save them. When she was eventually found sneaking out to do this by her clan (or family, however devils live), she was giving the choice to hunt down the women she'd saved and kill them herself, or face exile. She chose exile, because she's that kind of anti-hero, and decided that she wanted vengeance, also because she's that kind of anti-hero. She tried to join several guilds disguised as a human, but was chased out because pure black skin is kind of hard to hide. She finally found the Himawari guild, and was honestly kind of surprised she got accepted after she showed off her devil traits. She now fights against her own people, alongside people that scorn her for what she is. No wonder she's so pessimistic.

Other: So, in summary, Dark Pit but slightly less edgy, and furry. Also, I hid the codewords from the rules. Have fun finding them! *evil laugh*
Name: Kaihaku Reisu (literal translation: gray wraith)
Age: appears 15-16, though actual age is unknown
Gender: Female
Race: Devil (fear of inner demons/spirits of the dead; the ghost devil)
Appearance: An extremely pale girl with ashen skin, silvery hair, and a thin, almost sickly frame. Standing at a height of less than 5 feet, her stature is less than impressive, but there is still an ominous air around her. Her eyes have black sclera, and the irises are a silver so bright they’re almost white, seeming to gleam with a myriad of colors. Kaihaku’s hair reaches to the bottom of her shoulder blades, and always seems to drift in a breeze unfelt by any others. Her bangs are long and parted on the side, and they seem to naturally flow around the horns growing from her forehead, the right longer than the left. Three spikes extend from each of her shoulder blades, appearing at first to be small wings, but in actuality are closer to bone, and do not grant her the power of flight.
Personality: Bitter, cold, and often distant, Kaihaku puts up an emotional wall in addition to her uncontrolled barrier (see abilities) as a coping mechanism. A genuine smile from her is quite hard to come by, and when one does appear it is tinged with a wistful sadness. The barrier’s existence her entire life has meant that she never has and likely never will feel the touch of another, and this leaves her craving the one thing nearly impossible to have: companionship. This has left her extremely volatile, and her personality is liable to have drastic changes during mood swings. When she gets angry, Ikari takes advantage to assert dominance over the others, and it may drive her into a rage if she cannot suppress it. A sad event might throw her into a deep depression until she can throw off the influence of Hitan. Or, just as likely, Mukanshin will throw up yet another emotional barrier, causing complete apathy towards an event that should have had an effect. Her greatest fear is death, though specifically drowning and falling; she refuses to go near the edge of high places, and won’t go above 20 feet, nor will she venture out into water deeper than 5 feet (unless forced obviously).

Fighting style: As the barrier around Kaihaku moves to always have her at its center, actually punching people in hand-to-hand combat is hard, if not impossible. Even if the barrier was only 3 feet in diameter, a 1.5 ft radius, the surface is pliable to an extent, like a slightly deflated beach ball. As such, she opts to use her weapon of choice, a small crossbow. She has three types of bolts for the crossbow she keeps with her at all times: incendiary, poisoned (causes paralysis for a short time in humans, deadly to devils but only in large amounts), and normal wooden bolts with a metal shaft.

Borrowed power/abilities:
Each of Kaihaku’s abilities stem from the insecurities left behind when a loved one dies, or a fear manifests itself as an inner demon:
Isolation: While more of a side effect than a power, this ability comes from the tendency to distance oneself when someone close passes on. Depending on the demon strongest in Kaihaku at the time, a barrier’s radius will either grow or shrink, from 3 feet to up to 12 feet. This barrier is invisible to the naked eye, and allows objects to pass through it as if it weren’t there; however, human beings and other devils are unable to enter the space, although they can push against the barrier, and with enough strength lift and throw the barrier with Kaihaku suspended inside. There is currently no way to disable this barrier. (Although, later in-RP, one might develop ;3)
Distortion: Kaihaku’s second ability comes from the tendency of those in shock, grief, or intense fear to experience things almost in slow-motion, or a third-person view of themself. She sees herself from many different angles, although it can get extremely disorienting if used for too long, and she can snap herself back into first-person if she wishes to. However, doing so could be an ordeal if the wrong demon’s strength surges. In addition, she can see and hear the spirits of the dead, although not with any reliability; she cannot call upon a specific spirit, and any spirit she does see or hear will likely stick around for seconds at most.
Demon: The final ability of the Ghost Devil is both a blessing and a curse. Three demons constantly hover over Kaihaku, each vying for the most influence over her consciousness.
Ikari, or Rage, offers a large boost in speed and power while decreasing powers of reasoning and perception when at the top. This demon also dulls Kaihaku’s ability to feel physical pain. Barrier size: 3~4 ft diameter
Hitan, or Grief, offers a large boost in instinctive agility and perception while decreasing physical resistance and strength. This demon also dulls Kaihaku’s ability to feel emotional pain. Barrier: 5~8 ft diameter
Mukanshin, or Apathy, offers a large boost in mental acuity and cognitive functions while decreasing speed and agility. This demon also dulls Kaihaku’s ability to be mentally influenced, negatively or positively. Barrier: 9~12 ft diameter
These spirits appear as slightly darker and distorted translucent beings, constantly shifting forms and unable to be focused on. They hover around Kaihaku, unable to be seen by the average person. Ikari appears slightly reddish, Hitan bluish, and Mukanshin purplish. Kaihaku can exercise control over these demons to an extent, but as they are constantly at odds with each other, switching between them is an arduous affair, as is suppressing them when not in combat.

Weapons: Crossbow
Backstory: From a young age, Kaihaku cursed her power. If she wasn’t a devil, she’d be able to touch people. If she wasn’t a devil, she could hold her family close. If she wasn’t a devil, she could have friends.

I never wanted this.

Eventually, this stemmed into bitterness towards her family, and eventually towards her entire race. It was at this point in her life that her demons began developing. Ikari was the first, and for the first time, Kaihaku was able to touch another, even if it was a ghostly apparition of her own emotions. The demon of rage fed her anger back to her, amplifying it, while retaining her goodwill. Eventually, the anger drove her from her home.

I never wanted this!

It was at this point that her second demon, Hitan, manifested. When she was among family, there was at least some semblance of love, some semblance of solace in friends. Now that she was alone, she was truly alone. Kaihaku wandered the streets aimlessly, full of regrets and slowed by grief. Sometimes Ikari would take over in fits of rage, followed by panic attacks as the two vied for her attention.

I never… wanted this…

Eventually, after nearly a year, Kaihaku found her way back home, only to see the corpses of her family, humans crawling over the place that had been a prison, then an impossible goal, and now a painful memory, like maggots on rotting flesh. Ikari took over, the barrier preventing her from doing much damage, but also protecting her from the close-combat attempts of the devil hunters. Soon after followed Hitan, causing her to stop for a moment in her attacks before running away. She ran until she couldn’t see them anymore, ran until even the forest was out of sight and she found a human town. Covered by a cloak, tired and hungry, Kaihaku cried… or tried to. The third demon had taken over now, and she felt… nothing. It was both an extremely freeing and terribly frightening sensation. Logic said that they were devils, devils that brought her into this world as a devil. If they hadn’t existed, perhaps she could have been born as a human. For once, all of the demons agreed on what to do. The devil hunting guild in which devils were allowed was their destination.

I don’t care… anymore.
Other: I might make another character, probs a human, dunno tho because this took me literally forever, had fun making her tho lol
also *italian accent* kiwi on le pizza
Name: Dirt Cheap (yes that's his name)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: This 5'1" lad often has people looking down at him, with the first thing most people noticing about him is the spiky, silvery hair that adds an extra couple inches to his height. Underneath his magnificent mane lays two emerald eyes embedded in his face of fair skin. Dirt wears a dark navy coat with a popped collar, and a white frilly shirt with a necktie of the same adjectives. The aforementioned shirt is tucked into his slate gray slacks, which themselves end in polished black boots. He wears two sheaths on his hips, each of them holding three swords.
Personality: Being named Dirt, he has major self esteem issues. Most would never know it though, as he plays everything off as coolly as he can manage. He copes with his low self image by acting like he's the best in the room, but does so very subtly. When it comes down to it, he really wants to improve in the areas he can, and is a team player. As for his worst fear, it's the sight of his own blood. If he sees even a drop of it, he will pass out.
Fighting style: Dirt likes to keep his foes at a distance, using both his crossbows and his borrowed power to dispatch them at a distance. If they try to close the gap, Dirt will run, and he is faster than most humans. With his ranged attacks he likes to try to end the fight as quickly as possible, so they have less chances to get in close.
Borrowed power: From the God of Death, Dirt has the ability to summon twin skeletal arms the size of oak tree trunks from the earth. These copy his own arms' movements, and are pretty darn powerful. They can only come out of the ground though, so they aren't much help on the higher floors of a building.
Weapons: Two handheld crossbows and six short swords. He will also sometimes use smoke bombs.
Backstory: Born to Verie and Sir Howard "How" Cheap, Dirt was a premature baby that only barely survived the night of his birth. His father How was disappointed to have helped spawn such a weak child, but his mother wasn't as coldhearted. But when Verie died of a mysterious illness two years later, Dirt was all alone as How spent time with his older, stronger son, Knott Cheap. Knott was almost as strong as his father even at the age of 10, and even when Dirt's abilities surfaced, they were still nothing compared to Knott's badassery. Years of this went by, but one fateful day, in his spoiled angst, Knott got angry at his father. He made a bargain with some Devils to attack the Cheap Estate, and after a hard-fought battle, Sir How stood victorious, but at the cost of his prized son's life. In the muddled mindset of his grief, he devised a test: he would throw Dirt off a cliff. If he climbed back up, he was a Devil, but if he didn't, he was safe (Yes, this was heavily inspired by Tekken).
So as Dirt was lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood, an old merchant passed by and took him in. She healed him with wonderous medicines and nursed him back from the brink of death. For the next couple years, the merchant, known as Ms. Nesbitt, employed Dirt as a door-to-door salesman under the guilt trip of having saved his life. Eventually, Dirt ran away, as he figured he had paid his debt. But now he was homeless. So he turned to a guild, which happened to be Himawari.
Other: He's a hemophiliac, which does not mix well with hemophobia at all. If he gets cut, he'll be about as useful as Kiwi on Pizza.
Name: Volk Kami
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Humanish
Appearance: Due to how used to being a wolf he is, Volk's human appearance is a rare sight to see, only used to blend in. Volk's a tall 6'6( and 6 centimeters), muscular, and dark. He has black, somewhat long hair and black eyes.
Personality: Very much a loner, Volk prefers to spend his days lazing about alone. His daily routine is very much like an animal, simply protecting his territory, getting food, and sleeping. Volk dislikes company, and though he's not particularly malicious, he won't hesitate to end lives if it results in his benefit, even if it's so much as being alone. Simply put, Volk does what he wants, solely to enjoy his life, with very little care for others.
Which likely ties into his greatest fear, being captured and enclosed, like a zoo animal. He also hates feeling powerless.

Borrowed power/abilities: Volk borrowed his power from Fenrir, a Norse god that is known as a gigantic wolf. His power allowed Volk to change into a humanoid-ish, pitch black, and red-eyed wolf, about 8 feet in height. This gives Volk enhanced senses, strength, and a healing factor. A simple kit, right? Easy to counter?
Well, there's another ability Volk has. He can consume negative energy, such as fear, anger, and depression, from other people (and himself) to grow in size. His limits aren't known, but the bigger he gets, the more energy is required, so Volk usually requires a decent number of people (or one VERY angry/depressed person) to become a real giant. Even without being titanic, Volk's plenty strong and tough to take opponents who get too cocky.

Fighting style: With his immense strength and healing factor, Volk is very much a head on person. He's willing to tank anything so long as he can pull through and get close to his opponents, who he can end rather quickly close up thanks to increased strength, claws, fangs, and surprising skill at physical combat. Still, he's primarily short ranged, can easily be outranged, and will usually fall back to predictable instinct when sufficiently angry,. So if someone is careful and keeps their distance, he can be finished pretty easily. Be careful though. If the fight drags on, or if they get too cocky, they'll find a very big and angry wolf bulldozing past their attacks and defenses, making a beeline towards them.

Weapons: None
Backstory: Volk ran away from home at a young age. Not for any particular reason, just wanting to be alone after years of dealing with divorcing parents trying to bribe him for custody. Even at 7 years of age, he greatly preferred life in the wild, and ended up living that way for quite a while. For years he had a daily routine: Sleep, wake up, hunt, take food back to his cave, sleep, eat, sleep, repeat. He ended up getting the attention of a fair amount of guilds, however, and "defend self" also became part of his schedule, which resulted in a bigger bounty on his head, which resulted in more guild member to attack and then die, which THEN.
After a few close calls, Volk had grown sick of it, and ended up joining the nearest guild. Despite being a demon hunter, he usually spends his days lazing about and eating, only taking quests out of boredom or when he's threatened to be kicked out for inactivity.
Other: Volk has quite the appetite, willing to eat almost anything, including kiwi on pizza
Name: Lucian Lancelot
Nicknames: Man beloved by god (Called like that by the voice that supported him on his adventure to gain Garm), Faust Galladia (Fake name), Luci
Age: 17 (soon 18)
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: Lucian is a young male with a rather short, messy blonde hair and a white cloak. He tends to also wear black trousers and boots. He also stands for about 5'10 tall and weights around 156 lbs so he is rather well build. Oh, almost forgot, due to a fact he lost his left hand, he has a replacement in iron prosthesis.
Personality: Kind and sweet person, He usually tries to be on good terms with everyone. As he is Italian, he would never do something as terrible as to place kiwi on pizza or anything as weird to get accepted by the people around him. Well, when we are on that part, the boy tend not to be accepted by the people around him, at least not in a way that he would want to. He has more than one actually, although both are really familiar. First one is being alone, he fears the fact that he may no one to stay for him in his life and he seems to sometimes try too much to make people stay with him, he also fears to fail others with his lack of strenght or to know that someone he tries to be in good terms with may in fact hate him behind his back. He also hates lies and liars.
Fighting style: Quite defensive, Lucian prefers to search and find opponent weak point and defeat him with it without overtiring himself with his power. In other words, he does rush and overpower his enemies cuz he never knows how tired he may end and if he may not need his strenght later. He is master swordsman trained by truly one of the best as well as he is good in hand to hand combat and has a good footwork.
Borrowed power/abilities: It is said that he has been blessed by the god guardian of heaven, that allows him to use divine and god's weapons without fear of their sheer energy to tear him apart. It is still however really tiring to use weapons of gods and he still can't use their full potencial (Garm has 50 billions of seals that stops its enormous powers and as for now, Lucian can release only 30 of them in combat, which although it is really strong, isn't even a 1% [I doubt he will ever in this rp manage to reach 1%])
Weapons: During his life, before he joined Himawari Lucian obtains 2 divine weapons.
First being Papyrus of god that basiclly gives him a knowledge on and power to create things from his imagination. Yet it is really energy consuming to create something from nothing, after all even God had to rest one day after 6 days of creating entire existence.
Second weapon is even more interesting (and was so overpowered that I had to put over 50 billions seals over that thing so it doesn't destroy the universe by accident and end rp to quickly. It gonna just end as being foreshadowed Omni-potent weapon that true power gonna be never used cuz mortals are weak) it is a sword named Garm, which is a sword of the heaven guardian and god, weapon was never used to its full power cuz it never was needed and probably destroyed a lots of various devils when those were dumb enough to attack heaven or something. But let's not overhype ourselfs with divine version of excalibur and check what it can do when in Lucian hands... Welll... Not as much as we would want for now, hopefully the boy gets stronger.
When all seals are on garm (all 50 billions of them) it acts like medieval version of the lightsaber, which is capable of with easy cutting a lot of things, by taking down up to 30 seals Garm sprouts from its blade light that extends it reach by 4 times. It is quite possible it has much more abilities but becouse Lucian is a mortal and barely handles 30 seals for now he can't do much more.
Oh, he also has crossbow for distant control.
Backstory: its hard to say if Lucian really had any blessing from the start. He had a quite normal family and a happy life. He tried his best and wanted to become a fencer like his father once was, travel the world with his blade and etc. But as usually in such stories there was this one fatal day. He went to a temple with his parents and one of three great relicts, Papyrus of god flew up to him and attached itself to a boy hand. Due to fear or maybe jealously that some random boy holds an item that could turn any human to a pile of dust by it being a divine item, the priests declared that he is a devil that is trying to steal gods treasures given to humans and if the boy didn't want to be sentenced to death, he was supposed to go and find the Mythical Sword of gods, Garm. Lucian wanted to proof his innocence, espesially becouse all his friends started to think about him as devil and pushed him away. Lucian left his city to search for a weapon, he traveled for 4 years and he even encountered 3 devils on his way, but thanks to his tactical thinking and help from Papyrus, he managed to defeat them, although always barely and due to losing energy in a fight becouse of using his weapon he fell asleep after first fight 15 hours, in second 12 hours, and 7 hours right after a third fight. He eventually manages to find the mountain, where the sword was at its peak. He managed to climb it, although he lost his right hand in a process (he later gained thanks to one blacksmith a Metal prosthesis). He reached the peak where he meet a very old man in a knight's armor. He asked him a question who would he save if he could save only one person out of two in danger, his close friend or a person that isn't connected to him at all. Lucian answered 'both' and claimed that although he knows that he could choose only one, he doesn't acceot this and he would try to think of a way where both of them are save, even if it comes at costs of his health and life. Amused by this 'too good to actually exist, but thats becouse of plot armour in Personality guy', he gave him the sword with the warning that he should release any seals out of 50 billions yet, cuz its too dangerous for him. He also warned him that although devils wouldn't survive touching the sword in order to use it, definitly may try to kill its wielder.
So, out of pure logic of protagonistism and hope to be helpful to this group of heroes that is soon-to-be-saviours of the world he decided to be a devil hunter, but when he gets down from the mountain he learns that another half of the year passed, he also find out that priest didn't want him to return and spread a word of a new devil.. Lucian Lancelot... Lucian couldn't return home... He took a fake name and then decided to join guild that lets even devils to join.. Guild name was Himawari.
Other: I know that I made a whole lots of grammar mistakes but like... Its past 1am okay ;_;
Name: Rokka Lorei
Age: 20
Gender: female
Race: human

Appearance: Rokka stands at 5'2. She poses bright brown eyes and dirty brown hair with subtle tint of green, the hair is usually braided. Spiral horns grows on both sides of her head, visually marking her as a godsmith. Her attire consist of a pair of overalls paired with boots, gloves and hat. She also wears oversized round glasses and carries a large tool bag.

Personality: Rokka is a cheerful individual dedicated to her own project. She likes to brag about her inventions and teach other about various things because it make her feels smart. She has a fear of the deep, especially the deep sea.

Fighting style: Rokka prefers to fight from a safe distance, after setting multiple traps and prepared some backup plans. Playing strategically while sniping at the enemies from afar.

Borrowed power: Rokka has link to Berez, the god of smithing, crafting and herding. She has the power to permanently or temporarily moves a god link from a person to an object, imbuing the object with said power. This is called godsmithing. Temporary effect can be done quickly but the permanent one needs a long process with details that can't be told to anyone outside the godsmith community. Rokka twisted the method and apply it to devils, enabling her to make weapons out of devil's body part. She also can shrink objects down to 10 times their original size.

Weapons: What Rokka use to fight greatly varies depending on what's available on her but she always have her trusty rifle. A long muzzled gun specified for long distance sniping with multiple types of round for different effects.

Backstory: Rokka hails from the Luvia Archipelago, a region unofficially ruled by the colossal devil of the deep sea, Corabouros. The devil plays a long game, alluring human to his region by providing abundant aquatic resources with one simple unwritten deal. He can sink anyone, anytime, anywhere within his teritorry. Rokka witnessed the fishing boat his father was in dragged into the bottom of the ocean by a massive tentacle. After that incident she moved into the mainland and for a few years work as a godsmith for the goverment.

She was surprised the method to create most of magical items in circulation actually rid the donor of their power and can be highly risky as the stronger the power the higher the risk of the donor to die during the process. She propose the idea to use devils instead but her idea was shot down by the boss, saying that the church wouldn't like something like that. So she packed her bag, quitted her job and went on a journey to make her idea come true. Later she found Himawari and decided to join.

Other:
  • Her glasses are not there to compensate her vision, it's a scope that can zoom in and help her snipe from even longer range.
  • All human who has link to Berez poses horns on their head. Making godsmithes easy to spot.
  • She doesn't like kiwi on pizza.
Name: Midorigo “Midori” Yoji (literal translation: child infant)
Age: 17, though usually appears far younger
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Usually in her child form, Midori stands at a whopping three feet, with short, bubblegum pink hair tied into a spiky ponytail with a red ribbon. She wears loose clothing to accommodate her height if she suddenly switches out of child form, usually black with a pattern of cherry blossoms. Twin sickles are crossed on her back, attached by a long chain that she wraps around her body to keep under control. She has a few freckles dotting her nose and cheeks, and her lashes, framing turquoise eyes, are long and dark.

When in released form, Midori grows to be much taller, standing at 5’6”, her pink hair stretching to her lower back. The freckles on her face multiply from a few here and there to a light scattering of them. Her body is lean and wiry, with taut yet flexible muscle. In this form she looks her age, with curves befitting one of her stature. Her ears grow slightly pointed, like an elf’s, and are pierced through with several silver rings. Her sickles, too, grow in size to remain crossed on her back in the same proportion to her body they were in a seven-year-old’s body.
Personality: A bit of a wild card, Midori is bright, often childish, and extremely immature. She enjoys practical jokes, pranks, and April fools day, and is quite susceptible to potty humor. Constantly being in a child’s body has resulted in her becoming accustomed to having a child’s mentality (although if she puts her mind to it, she can focus and bring her 17-year-old brain back into play). As a result, she’s just as childish, loud, and blunt as a 17-year-old as she was in a 7-year-old’s form. She enjoys chaos, fighting, any and all manner of sweets, and games. Her greatest fear is equally childish: the dark.
Fighting style: Midori’s fighting style is playful to the point of being annoying. She uses her kusarigama to swing from whatever surface is available, making her a nearly impossible target to hit as a child, and a deadly accurate and hard-to-follow fighter as a teen. Oftentimes, she’ll pause in her antics to throw a sickle with scary precision to snag some blood or hair from her opponent, which she will eat without hesitation then turn her opponent into a child or an old man/lady, whichever is closest to their age. She’s a speedy little gremlin!
Borrowed power/abilities: Midori’s borrowed power comes from Hēbē, the Greek goddess of youth.
Reversion: She has the power to change her appearance to fit any age she wishes younger than her current age. This could be anywhere from a few months younger to a newborn (though at that point her intelligence would be void, and she would revert to the youngest age at which Midori was able to make conscious decisions within a few seconds, generally around 3 years old). By doing this, Midori’s power is suppressed, kept at a fraction of its true ability. When the age change is released, however, it snaps Midori back into her true age and true form with a force strong enough to knock her power a few years into the future, giving her a temporary boost in speed, power, accuracy, and all manner of physical fitness. This boost lasts approximately 7 minutes before needing to recharge for at least twice that time in a younger form. She’s learned to seal this power into her hair ribbon; when removed, she will naturally revert to her current age, and when tied a certain way, will change back to her *favorite* age of seven.
Control: Any living organism that Midori has consumed a part of within the last 24 hours can have its age changed to any age within thirty years of its current age, as long as it is within five years of its birth and five years of its death. This change lasts for up to six hours, depending on how far from their current age they were changed, although Midori can change them back at any time. This includes making a flower bloom faster for a time (assuming it can live a while), or reverting a dog back to a puppy. By far her favorite use for this power, though, is pranking people by turning them into children while they’re sleeping.

Her abilities also give her extreme flexibility and improved physical strength.

Also it’s extremely likely she’ll stop aging by the time she turns 25–

Weapons: Kusarigama that change size with her form
Backstory: Midori always stuck out like a sore thumb. Whether it was her pink hair, a joke that went too far, or defending a bullied kid to the point of knocking out the bully, there was always something going on with her. She always acted younger than she was, and when someone told her to “act her age,” she’d pay them no mind in the slightest. She often wished that she could go back to when she was a child, and everything was easier… and one day, suddenly, she was a child. She had reverted from her 14-year-old body into that of a five-year-old. It took her a while to get the hang of her newfound power, but soon she could blend in with the other kids and dodge her responsibilities.

That is, until the day when she first snapped back.

One of her child-friends was being pushed around and beat up by a group of older teens, and filled with righteous indignation, Midori’s power went wild, snapping her back to a 15-year-old. Unaccustomed to the new boost in power, she ended up hurting the four boys far worse than she had intended to. Horrified by what she’d done, but determined to put her power to use, she ran away from home, leaving only a note saying she was bound for a guild… Himawari.
Other: She eats hair and nails to turn people into little kids, I think she’d eat kiwi on pizza-

now for some pinging *loads canon* @Gamingfan @=Nightshade= @Clite of Dragonbow

Seems interesting. I'll give it a go.

In this world, being a witch would most likely be someone who supports devils. This is mostly a derogatory word normally directed at women, sometimes men, who help devils or accept them. Basically if you're nice to a devil or help one, you're seen as a witch which is punishable by death.

Technically it's not allowed to even exist but then again, it's not a guild that's part of the kingdom. It's an independent guild, that works for itself meaning that basically the kingdom cannot really shut it down without using force but using force against this guild is not worth the blood shed. Add to the fact its a lesser known guild, and many people do not know of their antics and they sort of just slip under the radar.

=Nightshade=

Previously Night's Shadow

Eventually, this stemmed into bitterness towards her adoptive family, and eventually towards her entire race.

Eventually, after nearly a year, Kaihaku found her way back home, only to see the corpses of her adoptive family, humans crawling over the place that had been a prison, then an impossible goal, and now a painful memory, like maggots on rotting flesh.

(This is my second time writing this bio cuz my ass isn't smart)

Man I feel overly edgy for writing this.

Other: I know that I made a whole lots of grammar mistakes but like... Its past 1am okay ;_;

Previously Night's Shadow

Other: She eats hair and nails to turn people into little kids, I think she’d eat kiwi on pizza-
Because I don’t want to be depressed all RP.

Heres my guy
@Spoiled Bread @=Nightshade=

both accepted, now our guild is 2 furries, a powerless kid, a dude with a light sabre, a ghost girl, our blacksmith, cheap dirt and a loli. Man this guild is something else XD.

And now there’s a snake man in the mix too
(added later, just saw the first Rp post and lmao my mans gonna have to kill another serpent)
Name: Turpentine Anguis. Often just called "Turp" for short
Age: Not even he knows, but they're likely somewhere in their mid-20s.
Gender: Male
Race: Devil

Appearance:
Standing at an intimidating 6'10, Turp somewhat resembles a human, or snake-human, with grey-brown sideswept hair and pale freckled skin. However a multitude of what look to be acid or poison burn scars cover his arms, as well as a particularly jarring one on the left side of his face. Two grey and yellow horns poke out from through his hair, and his skin looks almost scaly in some areas. His eyes are yellow, and his teeth resemble a snake's, and has a poisonous bite capable of leaving pretty horrific blisters. As well as this, he has a rattlesnake tail. He has a lisp, barely being able to pronounce the letter "s" or the "th" sound, and hisses when agitated. Which is often. He only really wears dark colours.
Personality:
Turp is very aggressive and easily angered, with a lot of fight in him. He hates having to put up with others, and strongly prefers solo-work. He argues for the fun of it, starts fights with the intention of winning, and is an all around asshole. Under his toxic shell though, he’s actually pretty sweet, and incredibly loyal.
Fighting style:
he bite. he scratch. he make mean noises and spit venom at you.
Okay, but in all seriousness Turpentine mostly lacks skill when it comes to combat, mostly preferring to rip his opponents apart in an unhinged, animal like manner. He is however incredibly stealthy, and since he is able to spit his venom from a distance is usually put on assassination or capturing tasks. He has no sense of self control and isn’t readily trusted on any kind of battlefield for fear he’ll just go feral.
Borrowed power/abilities:
- Venom/acid spitting
- Toxic bite
- Slick, oily skin
- Stealthy as hell
- He has an incredible way with words and charm, and an excellent sense of trickery. He could talk a drowning man into buying water if he so wished.
Weapons:
Besides his physical capabilities, he carries two sickles, which he is surprisingly talented at using.

Backstory:
Having fled to the town after committing, ahem, c r i m e s, Turpentine quickly took up being a freelance assassin, though would often engage in fights outside of this leading to him not getting many jobs anymore. Frustrated, and in need of money, he stumbled upon the guild and decided it'd be worth a shot. It was, but he still gets treated like a child due to his attitude.
Other:
tbh said crime he committed was probably eating kiwi on pizza while in italy

The group is gathered and sent to a village to eliminate a serpent devil. After they arrive and talked a bit with the villagers the devil emerged from the ground and now the group is attacking it.

sorry, just struggling a bit. I have no idea what to do
If you wanted, you could start from when the got off the carts and describe what Turp was doing before the battle began, then end with him coming out to help? Or you could say he was there the whole time and put more detail into the battle part? Or combine both into one reallllllyyyy long post? I dunno, up to you obviously, just tryna help ^^

so our devil has split into 3 smaller devils, you guys can go into teams to try and deal with this abomination. You guys can choose the teams among yourselves, though try to keep them as even as possible. If anybody wishes to go with Ikus, well I'd only suggest one person since the other two parts of the devil will need more than the head. Feel free to auto it and enjoy killing this abomination

sorry, just struggling a bit. I have no idea what to do
well since the devil split into 3 he can join one of the mini teams in trying to hunt one of the parts
