Name- Tulare
Age: 26
Race: Tuffle
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Height: 5’1” ft.
Weight: 137
Outfit: Tulare wears a dark blue and brown skin tight tuffle flight suit which has a thin metallic fabric giving the wearer minor protection. On the front is the logo of the former tuffle empire. He covers this up with a olive green bomber jacket with orange detail, gray steel toed boots. Black fingerless gloves. He has a belt with various pouches and metal casings covering them. He keeps all sorts of tools in these pouches including a retractable rifle staff.
Appearance: He has long silvery blue hair, extremely pale skin, violet eyes with deep eye bags underneath from sleep depravation, a smug grin at all times, and he's fairly tone, albeit short and toned. Much like ya boy Krillin and Tuffle in general.

Personality: Much like his father, Tulare is a very meticulous man that wants everything done a certain way, especially when it comes to tech. Because Tulare spent his whole life bouncing around in space, he oftentimes appears very stoic. Rarely ever does he let anyone see his true self. Behind his impassive behavior, deep down he's an eager optimistic man with a child-like sense of wonder as he curiously explorers the stars wondering what he will see next. He takes great pride in his creations and gets easily angered when such tools are misused or damaged. There are two things he values most in life, tech and home.

Tech is the most interesting thing to him. His father put great value in tech and so does Tulare. He enjoys taking apart tools and machinery and putting them back together. more importantly, he enjoys figuring out ways to implement useful parts and concepts into his own tech. Home is the second most important thing he values. Home is the one place you should always feel safe. Nobody should ever take the feeling of security away, and he will fight to defend this idea.

Inventory: A portable hand held jetpack that can launch the user roughly 15-20 feet in the air.

Tulare’s tools - Various tools and equipment for making fixing machines and tech devices.

Portable computer. A sphere that creates a holo-screen and acts as an interface where he can remotely access his father’s research on the go.

Weapons: Tulare’s staff. Tulare’s staff was once a tuffle mining laser. A tuffle mining laser is a scepter rod with laser blasting capabilities. A Tuffle mining laser fires high powered piercing plasma bolts that can blow away chunks of rock. They are used by miners to dig up various minerals and resources. They rely on battery packs that are solar powered.

Tulare’s staff is special in a sense that he increased the length and gave it tougher plating to give staff fighting combat abilities as well as retract back for easy storage. He replaced some parts in his staff to allow his laser to fire more precise piercing shots that can better penetrate through strong armor or dense muscle. It also has a switch which allows it to be used as a mining laser again.

Robots: Rg-4b8 - Rg-4b8 or Redgie for short is a robot similar in design to giru but olive green and has two orange eyes. One on the front and one in the back. Redgie is a one foot tall multi-purpose bot with various functions. The first is to scan environments for useful materials and resources. It can scan ki, detect power levels up to a thousand, detect nearby heat signatures and perhaps one day search for dragon balls. It is not a combat droid and cannot assist in battle in any way shape or form and thus has an emergency Blaster pack that allows it to move for brief periods at extreme speed to flee from would-be attackers. It cannot carry Tulare so if Tulare needs to escape, he must fid his own method of escape or way to deal with hostile threats.

Vawk: Vawk is a badly damaged robot that is missing an arm, two legs and has a heavily damaged torso that looks similar in design to the cyclopian guard. When fully repaired, Vawk stands at 8 ft tall and is primarily a melee combat droid with explosive punches and can fire four mid-range explosive rounds. Vawk has jump jets which allows the robot to jump 30 ft into the air.

Powers:abilities: For now, his ki abilities consist of basic ki blasts. As he grows stronger, so will his ki attack list grow.
Tulare is a tech wiz and expert on making robotics.

Power level: His power level is currently at 12

Fighting style: Staff fighting- Tulare Is skilled at melee combat with a goshakubo.

Skilled marksman- Tulare has used a rifle most of his life and is extremely deadly with one.

However he is grows stronger, he will make stronger, more durable and more powerful robots that can assist him in combat and make up for what power he is lacking. His robots serve many different purposes thus making him a somewhat versatile fighter.

Backstory: Tulare grew up in space. He never really knew his home planet of tuffle but his father was a man named Bergamot. Bergamot was head of the tech/research developers and one of the brightest minds the tuffles had. He talked about reclaiming it one day. He never really explained how. He had designs for a mega weapon that he described as theoretically being capable of wiping out all saiyan life on their planet. However such a notion was purely theoretical and they lacked the resources needed to turn such a blueprint into reality. Tulare didn’t share his father’s optimism in his schematic but kept it, even years after his father eventually died.

Tulare spent most of his life in a spaceship, never really settling on a planet for more than two months. Each time he made friends they’d pack up and leave again. Each time taking and giving from the planet. They’d give all sorts of useful technological advances and in return they would leave with as much resources as they could get their hands on before leaving. Oftentimes building larger ships and various robots in the process. Tulare’s father built many robots for different tasks. Some robots were built for mining operations. Some were built for surveillance, and others for security/protection. He had a few other schematics that he never used, but were designs for powerful mech

Because Tulare spent most of his life in space, his only consistent friends were his father and his droids. His father would not allow him to befriend any of the worker droids he had made, however he was a somewhat kind man that was not completely careless and was very encouraging of his son in building robotics of his own. By the age of 12, he made his first robot. It walked around for a few minutes before ultimately exploding. He worked on building robots for nearly a year before making his first successful robot and naming it Rg-4b8. Nicknaming it Redgie. Redgie had no true purpose and had no personality. It followed Tulare and that was it. It could walk on flat terrain but could not climb, jump or walk on uneven flooring. Redgie couldn’t even communicate nor did it have arms. His father referred to Redgie by this point as a ‘piece of junk’, but Tulare loved Redgie and this was where his passion for robotics would take a life long turn.

Each time they visited planets, Tulare would upgrade Redgie, but never fully getting the satisfaction of an approval from Bergamot who deemed the robot as ‘slightly better but needs more work’ each time. Bergamot was a very harsh critique, but also his best source of helpful advice and tips. The first thing Tulare gave Redgie was a voice box he made all by himself. As a result, he mispronounced words and had broken speech at first. Eventually giving it better legs for walking, then arms, and eventually the ability to levitate off the ground entirely. That was one of the hardest things to understand. Even with his father giving him small pieces of advice every now and then. By the time Tulare was 18, he had built five other robots including a combat bot named “Vawk”.

Vawk was a work in progress and nearly cost Tulare an arm when the robot malfunctioned. By the time he was twenty-two he had fully built Vawk and moved on the various other robots. Tulare stopped making robots for himself by this point and had moved on to helping others. Much like his father, Tulare helped others. Which really struck a nerve with Tulare because most of the time when they went to inhabited planets, they were oftentimes underdeveloped and didn’t understand how the tech worked so most of the time it felt like he was hand holding and doing all the work which was even more bothersome since this was cutting into his lazy time. He buckled down though and managed to get stuff done.

One of the planets he traveled to was called Boksing. On Boksing he learned some extremely useful staff fighting skills. Which is where he began to spend much of his time turning his mining rod into a staff fit for combat. He stayed on that planet for two months. Eventually he and his father left, but he hadn’t forgotten that planet. Bergamot would die two years later, leaving Tulare with all of his father’s robots and ship. He visited several remote planets throughout parts of the galaxy but the most notable planet he visited was the one where he first learned staff fighting from. He had kept up the practice and had much improved on his own. He returned to that planet to refine his abilities where he stayed a full year.

Even though Tulare was alone, he still had all of his father’s notes and years of wisdom on his supercomputer. It held more than three lifetimes of data on it. Far more than Tulare ever truly memorized in a few short years. He kept the knowledge and made several copies of it in case one was ever destroyed, he could fall back to a backup computer. He kept one such supercomputer in a secret vault on Deimos, a moon of mars and another one on one of the moons just outside Boksing.

Eventually Tulare’s travels would take him from mars to eventual earth. By the time he was 25 he had made his way to earth, but unfortunately due to some complications, he was unable to safely land his ship. He crashed on a remote jungle island. He had managed to activate a stealth field around his ship but was unable to repair it. Nobody inhabited the island except for plants and a few animals. If anyone managed to see where his ship was, it would look like a large moss covered rock covered in prickly thorn plants. Most of his robots were damaged in the crash including Vawk who was already missing a few limbs. Redgie was the only robot he had that was fully operational. Tulare had made his way to the mainland via swimming and partial flying at he leapt through the water with a portable hand held jet boost.

Fun facts: Tulare is a type of cherry
Burgamot is a type of orange

This story today takes place years before Tulare would eventually arrive on earth. Him and his father were few of the remaining Tuffles after the saiyans had conquered planet Plant. Planet less, Tulare and his father, Burgamot drifted through space aimlessly and this is one of his many stories.

Burgamot: Set coordinates 563.28-0.739.524
Burgamot: Adjust capacitor limits 15.9 decimals
Burgamot: Did you remember to rewire the ship's navicomputer like I told you to?
Burgamot: Damnit boy, pay attention!!
Tulare: Will you hush! I'm working on the engine
Burgamot: You fool of a Tuffle, get out of there! You'll be vaporized if your down there while the ship takes off! And I told you to fix that this morning!
Tulare: Maybe if you told me what was wrong with it, I wouldn't have had to figure it out!
Burgamot: If I do everything for you, you'll never get anything done and I will not let the Tuffle legacy die with me!
Tulare: Fine! I'm going to adjust the capacitors.
Burgamot: No you will not! The navicomputor needs to be your first priority if were going to leave this asteroid storm in one piece.

The two bickered back and forth via comm links. After some quick repairs and some careful flight maneuvers they managed to slip through the cracks of the asteroid storm. His father was a very detail oriented man who knew what needed to be done and despite his temper, cared deeply for his people. Which was why he carried a deep resentment towards the conquering saiyans. A lingering hatred that would be taken to his grave.

Burgamot shares his deep seeded hatred and one that didn't entirely pass onto Tulare, his relatively naive and optimistic son. Tulare did have mistrust towards the saiyan people, but never actually met one and had a hard time hating something he never met. His father seen the atrocities committed against his people first hand and keeps holo recording of the attacks so he never forgets what he lost. His brother and many of his closest friends were among the the casualties.

The duo already had their next planet destination marked, and were due to arrive roughly 3 weeks. They had the supplies and resources to do it, but time always took its toll. Mostly on Tulare as he yearned to talk to someone other than robots or his ever so critiquing father. Not that he didn't mind these things, but he wanted more. Though by this point he was accustomed to long space flights.

One of bright sides of long space flights was the long periods of free time. Oftentimes the ship would be in an autopilot mode with ship repair bots handling mundane repairs. At this point in Tulare's journey he was currently working on his second robot. Even though his first robot, Redgie still needed a lot of work. Redgie sat on the table watching Tulare work away. The robot could communicate, but at this point, it only did so in broken grammar. So it usually relied on hand gestures to share opinions and thoughts. The two had fun working on devices together. Eventually they'd land on some planet and either mine it for resources or trade tech with natives, if there were any civilized enough to have anything of valuable. For the most part, they kept to themselves and avoided civilizations when they found them. Sometimes locals didn't take too kindly to space fairing people. Eventually all things would come to an end, and eventually Tulare and his father would eventually prepare to land their ship on some planet nicknamed 1G-23Y. At least, that's what Burgamot called it. He cared not for learning the planet's actual name and labeled all the planets he been to with letters and numbers depending on their location in the galaxy.

Tulare stepped out of the ship a few moments after his father did. They looked around. They were on a large red planet. Lots of deserts. Very little sign of plant life in this area but sufficient oxygen to breathe without special containment suits. At a certain point in one's space traveling exploration, there comes a point when planets start looking the same. Redgie stood behind Tulare as they began walking out of the ship. They would likely be staying on this planet for the next few weeks.

Part 2: (continuation)

After stepping off the ship, it was work as usual. Search for resources. Take anything of significance. His father didn't need to tell him what to do or where to go and was already getting set up while Tulare handles the menial labor tasks. They had several bots to assist with the process. Without further adieu, Tulare took Redgie and two mining bots. Mining bots were bulky with large built in containers and armed with a laser, a large hammer and two shovels for various mining and collecting tasks.

The two mining bots knew where they were going, but Tulare liked using Redgie to track down resources. The mining bots were good at searching hing for an abundance of resources, but Redgie was helpful for narrowing down locations to find the most valuable metals. On his way to the first location, a pack of wolf-like animals appeared and and watched him. He fired. Warning shot which didn't detour them. After a few silent moments they began charging towards Tulare and bots. The mining bots were built to gather ore, but their hammers and lasers were fairly lethal. Tulare commanded his bots to attack. To the bots, it was no different than blasting apart rocks. Whatever they were, they weren't a real threat, but Tulare didn't desire to take a chance. Maybe their meat could be cooked. He had one of the mining bots bring them back to camp. His father could decide what to do with them.

The location they went to had signs of mining already performed, but none of the activity suggests any people have been here for at least forty or more years. It was better to keep one's guard up and jump at shadows than caught off guard and shot in the head. The initial cave area was mostly picked clean. They'd need to dig deep to justify coming all this way out here. That wasn't a problem because he was expecting to fo that. There were some three eyed creatures that looked relatively similar to bats. More scared of Tulare than vice versa so he focused on work. He was hoping to do so as he had been tinkering with his staff and excited to see how it performed. He trusted his staff, extending it, firing an initial shot blowing a huge chunk out of the cave wall. He let the bots work and took aim and fired here and there at strategic points of interest. After two hours, the mining bots were loaded and Tulare went through two battery packs. His third was his reserve and he may very well need it for the trip back.

He had a safe trip back. This planet seemed fairly safe. Sone wildlife but nothing threatening yet. This was arguably more scary than being attacked, because at least when your under attack, you know what your up against, but Tulare was expecting something that wasn't coming. It was a little hard to stop and enjoy the little moments of peace time, but he did appreciate them. It was a nice walk back. A cool breeze after spending hours in a dark dusty cave felt amazing. Burgamot had already taken the meats deemed safe to eat, pelts for leather and the remaining parts were broken down and turned into fuel. All parts of an animal got use.

Tulare had worked up a sweat mining. He took this opportunity to push himself harder and train. He fought one of his training bots hand to hand, then two vs one with his staff. It was good training but now he definitely needed a rest after two hours of sparring training. The meat was preserved for later. They had food already planned for the next two weeks.
