Will began to walk , "Wait..." he said to Squirtle "where are we going to sleep"
Squirtle sighed "Squirt (You should have taken care of that)"
Will sighed "Well" he said "it seems we are camping tonight"

He exited the city and entered the woods. After a couple minutes of walking, he found a great spot to set up camp.
Tired from that day's adventure, he fell asleep almost instantly, with no idea that he wasn't alone.

Meanwhile, from the trees, were the two grunts and the leader from before.
"Look at him, defenceless" the first grunt said "we should attack him"
"No" the leader said "we wait until more can get together, then we take them all down in one foul swoop"

After checking her Pokegear, Yolie managed to find an inn- directly across from the diner. Leaving the diner was a man who had a beautiful, orange pokemon that looked like a dog. The trainer hopped on it and went off.

"Wow, what a beautiful Pokémon. Why couldn't I start with that one!"
Yolie felt Knope shake in his pokeball.
"Heheh, just kidding!"

Yolie walked inside of the inn, which did not look glamorous, but would do for the day. The price wasn't half bad either, but money was not a concern of Yolie's. She has the advantage of having two hardworking parents who are well off. Not as wealthy as her friends parents, but she could certainly consider herself a high middle-class and lucky.

Yolie checked in to her room and fell asleep for the night, releasing Knope and Eve to avoid feeling alone.

Charles looked at the Diner, while he noticed Minun opened the bag while he unzipped a tiny part of it, as he gave him some money that was inside the bag. He then quickly zipped it back up, as he whispered to the baby Dragonite, "If you don't tell anyone about this, I'll be happy to buy you something that you've always wished to have. I always like to do some good to balance out the bad."

Dragonite happily nodded, as Charles looked at the money and had a shocked looked at his face, as he said to the Minun while he saw him pointing towards the Diner, "Uhh, so where did you get this from? This seems like a lot even for a tiny stack, but anyway, let's go eat."

They all happily went to the Diner, as Charles paid everything to the waitress right away, while he and his Pokémon all happily ate their dinner. He gave a tip to the waitress after they all finished, as he waved to her while Scanner said to him, "Wow... who knew that you were right about prayers? Sometimes they just come true... and anyway, there's an Inn nearby that we can spend the night in. Let's go, it's directly across the Diner, and still... I seriously wonder how Minun even got the money."

Charles walked to the Inn, while he payed at the reception in advance, so that he could check out faster for the next day. He carried Minun's bag around his shoulder using the strap, as the Minun smiled at him and gave him a harmless jolt to signal his appreciation.

He checked into his room, as it was adjacent to Yolie's room on the right side where the doors faced. He cleaned himself and his Pokémon very carefully, especially being gentle with the Minun, knowing that he disliked water. He dried them all neatly, as he went onto his bed and turned off the lights. He placed Scanner on the nightstand that was perpendicular towards the left side, while he pulled the blankets up to his shoulders. The Minun went on his right side, as he slept while not making any noise, as the baby Dragonite went on the opposite side of Charles and fell asleep with everyone soon after, while he snored quietly.
 
The Critique

After a hearty meal, courtesy of his new friend, Def, Jackson made his way to the inn nearby. A lot of trainers seemed to walk in. A girl he didn't recognize. Turning into her room a few rooms away from his.

No sign of Will. He was probably already in his room, or elsewhere. Jackson wondered if he was going to be okay.

The person he really wanted to find was Marin. Jackson was ready for a rematch. His Buneary was pretty strong and pretty fast, but Jackson figured if he tried again he might have a better shot. Or maybe not. Either way, he was up for another battle. Unfortunately, it didn't look like anyone else was.

Beside, Bulbasaur was tired.

A boy then checked in across from the girl's room. He had a Pokémon Jackson didn't recognize, but before Jackson could pull out his Pokedex, the Pokémon was already in his room. At least, he assumed it to be a he. Maybe it was girl. How was Jackson supposed to know?

Jackson entered his room and collapsed onto the bed without a sound. Until he began to snore.

The next morning, Jackson felt the sun on his face, stinging his eyes through his eyelids. "Okay, I'm up." He'd actually been half awake for a while now. Too excited to sleep. There was a gym in the next town over and he needed to battle it. After getting up to use the restroom and a quick shower, he woke up his partner.

"Hey partner. You ready to go?"

Bulbasaur simply rolled over on the mattress away from Jackson. "Aw, come on. We gotta get to that gym."

A sigh came from Bulbasaur as he tucked his head closer to his body. "Bul... ba..."

"Come on, lazy bones! We gotta go." Jackson grabbed Bulbasaur by his body and pulled up, little knowing that Bulbasaur was holding onto the bedsheet. The force of the two ripped the sheet from the bed, causing them to collapse backwards. The sheet covering them like a cheep Halloween costume. "Well, at least, we're awake now."

Bulbasaur simply groaned.

Ghost watched them from the top of several trees frowning why did she fell like she knew some of these trainers as she watched them several pidgey landed on a near by branch which she capture ed with her capture styler and asked them to go see who they where the 15 year old girl was quite interested in them as her riolu ran after the pidgey she tryed to call him back with her aura

Marin stared at the building that Steven and Nuzleaf both pointed towards. "So...How does it work!" Marin asked since he was a little unconvinced. Steven walked over to the front door and opened it. "Come in and I'll show you," Nuzleaf jumped beside him and gestured for Marin to enter. "They must have practiced this hundreds of times," Marin thought to himself S he entered. Marin looked around as he entered the building. It was a large room filled with, punching bags, dummy's, tennis ball launchers and at the back it was a huge array of target practice rows.

"How come there's know one here," Marin asked with a raised eyebrow. Steven got a bit embarrassed and scratched the back of his head. Nuzleaf mimicked him. "Well um, you see... Business hasn't been all that great, let's just say that," Steven said as nervously chuckles. "But that doesn't mean we don't do a good service! Please send out your Pokemon and help yourself to any of the equipment," Steven said with a large smile. "Um...okay," Marin sent out Rory out of his Pokeball. As he jumped out, he looked around not sure of his surroundings. Rory noticed the punching bag and instantly ran towards it and started punch it with fiery eyes. " Bun! Bun!" Rory yelled with every punch he did. "Dayum, Rory sure has some venom in those punches," Marin chuckled. Every time that Rory punches the bags it would only move slightly. Rory then started to use his moves in the punching bags. Dizzy Ounch and Jump Kick, but it only gave the same result. Mari looked down at Asura as it she seemed curious as to what was happening. "Hey Asura, you want to have a go at training?" Marin asked softly. Asura grew a worried look in her face as she didn't like to battle. "Don't worry, you're not battling any other Pokemon," Asura's worried look and she shrugged as she didn't mind. Nuzleaf ran past Marin. "Nuzleaf!" Nuzleaf said as he stood by the target practice. "That's a good idea, lets go Asura," Marin walked over to the target practice and placed Asura beside Nuzleaf. Marin stepped back and noticed Asura's started to have a scared look on her face as she looked at the smiling Nuzleaf. "Don't worry Asura, this Nuzleaf's cool, and also I'm right behind you so don't worry," Asura looked at Marin with her scared look. She hesitantly nodded. "Chikor," She said as she turned back to Nuzleaf. Nuzleaf smiled and pointed towards the target that oppesed them. Nuzleaf then swung his leaf on his head launching a Razor leaf st the target, hitting it bang in in the middle.

Nuzleaf turned back to Asura and smiled, he then gestured towards the target. "Nuz-nuz," Asura simply stated in awe as she was really impressed by the Razor leaf. She knew that she had Razor Leaf but she had never properly used it before. Asura took a deep breath and slowly went into a battle stance. She launched her Razor Leaf, but it did it even reach the target. Asura had a sad look and looked at the ground. Nuzleaf patted her back and smiled. Asura looked up at Nuzleaf. Nuzleaf then stood with a straight back and pointed towards his good posture. "Nuz-Nuzleaf," Nuzleaf then used Razor Leaf at the target and hit it again. Nuzleaf smiled and gestured for Asura to have another go. Asura straightened her back and her legs and concentrated really hard in her posture. "Chikor!" She yelled as she unleashed another Razor Leaf at the target. The Razor Leaf skimmed the top of the target. Nuzleaf jumped and cheered. "Nuz!" Asura smiled as she was happy to finally hit the target, despite only skimming it.

Marin smiled the entire time watching Nuzleaf tutor Asura. Marin looked back at Rory to seee if he was okay. He saw Steven yelling at Rory trying to hype him up. "Come on Rory! Is that all! Hit that bag with all your might!" Steven yelled. Marin noticed that Rory was moving the punching bag more than before. Rory was yelling a lot louder than before when hitting the bag. "BUN! BUN!" Rory was doing proper war cries as he beat up the punching bag. "I think Rory's getting s little bit too into this," Marin chuckled to himself and looked back to Asura.

Jackson was finally able to pull Bulbasaur out of the sheets and the two made their way from the inn. The room was more expensive than Jackson had previously thought. "Well, partner, I guess we'll have to get used to sleeping on the ground." Bulbasaur nodded.

The two made their way towards Route 2. Jackson wished he found a few more Pokémon on his journey. Granted, he wasn't trying very hard. The three he had were tough for now. At least he thought. As he made his way down the road of Route 2, there was a sign up ahead. "Hey! Maybe that can tell us where to go." Jackson rushed over to the sign with two arrows pointing different directions. One towards Yoven and one towards Giroru.

He turned towards Bulbasaur who just barely caught up with him. "So, pal, you ready to head towards Yoven City?" Bulbasaur shook his head. "What? Why not, buddy?"

"Bulba." Using his vine, Bulbasaur pointed further north towards a gate. Atop it was a large sign.

'Gateway blocked due to landslide.'

"Aw man," Jackson said. "Well, guess we'll go south. Come, partner."

"Bulba." The pair began to head south, wondering if the trainers he met the night before were ahead or behind him.

Ghost soon got a call about the landslide and went to see if she could find any helper pokemon seeing Jackson's bulbasaur she started to capture it by accident with her capture styler "why is it not working it's a wild pokemon isn't it?" She asked in her head orin the Riolu got her attention and told her it was a trainers through his aura

Nuzleaf continued to tutor Asura. Asura used her Razor Leaf a couple more times towards the target but seem to hit everywhere around it apart from the target. Asura was getting frustrated and letting out a "Chi!" every time she missed. Mari went up to Asura and put his hand on her back. "There's no need to get frustrated, we're not expecting you to be the best straight away, just be patient with yourself," Marin said softly. Asura looked up and nodded, she then continued to fire her Razor Leaves towards the target. They were slowly getting closer and closer every attack. Marin was watching in awe, he also felt suspense as it was becoming inevitable that Asura will hit the target bang on the middle. Nuzleaf was watching in awe also as he watched the Razor Leaves getting launched. Asura stopped and took a deep breath after launching a barrage of Razor Leaves. She looked up and stared at the target with a stone cold face. As if she was confident that she could do anything at that point. She whipped her leaf that was on her head and launched a lone leaf. It felt like it was traveling in slow motion as it flew towards the target. It eventually reached the target, hitting bang on in the middle of it and absolutely destroying the target as well. Marin, Nuzleaf and Asura all paused as it took them a couple of seconds to process what happened. At the same time, they all burst out a cheer "Tauros eye!" :)Marin yelled. and started to heavily celebrate, jumping and hugging each other. A huge crashing sound interrupted the celebratory dance and they all stopped and looked where the sound came from. The punching bag that Rory was punching had been launched flying and it crashed into the wall of the Training Center knocking over some other equipment. Rory was standing where the punching bag was previously out of breath and was in a battle stance. Steven got so hyped about the punching that he was yelling his head. "DAYUM RORY! YOU'RE AN ABSALOUTE BEAST! YOU LAUNCHED THAT PUNCHING BAG LIKE A TYRANITAR KICKING A BIDOOF!" Steven yelled. "Wait...Rory did that?" Marin asked in disbelief of what he was witnessing. Asura had gotten quite hyped at the sight of Rory showing his moves and hitting the target that she sprinted over to the launched Punching bag and started to tackle it. "Chikor!" She exclaimed. "...I guess Asura isn't afraid of battling anymore," Marin said.

"Thank you for everything Steven, you really helped out a lot," Marin said whilst shaking Steven's hand. "It's my pleasure, you've got a good set of Pokemon there," Steven said. Nuzleaf went up to Asura held out a fist for a fist bump. Asura held up her foot and put it up against his fist to complete the fist bump. Rory leaped next to the and put his fist into the fist bump as well. Marin continued his way to Grioru City waving goodbye to Steven and Nuzleaf. "Bye!" "Chikor!" "Bun!" They all yelled as they walked away from the training center. Steven and Nuzleaf stood in front of their Training center waving back to Marin and his Pokemon. "Bye, good luck at the gym!" "Nuz-Nuz!"

"So Asura, does that mean you're up for challenging the Grioru Gym?" Marin asked. Asura looked up at Marin with a determined look. "Chi!" She nodded. "Awesome, we'll beat the first gym as if it was nothing," Marin said as he tightened his fist, excited to get to Grioru City. Howver, it will be a while untill they reach Grioru since Route 2 was a rather large Route and Grioru is quite the treck from Gronk City.

Soon she left the site getting another call about theifs and bandits on route 2 on the way to Grioru city as she ran she saw several kids, trainers, and pokemon as she made her way there she soon ran past marin as she captured several spinarack as she went

Def was up bright and early the next day and out walking around to wake himself up. He stopped in his tracks for just a little to stare up and admire the morning sky. It was frustrating how in one day he could be made to think and worry about his past life with the Rockets. This island helped him put it behind him, they were sure making a lot of effort on their uprising to venture all the way to Bloka.

His shoulders rose and fell as he took a deep and cleansing breath, looking at Growlie next to him and rubbed under the canine's chin.

"Guess we better do some sort of island patrol," He said and climbed up on the Arcanine and let him head along paths at a leisurely trot.

Alan took his first step into Cronk City and let out a relieved sigh. He had travelled all day from Quinten. It was a rather tedious trek, but he got to spend some time with his Pokemon. Well, mostly his Eevee. Munchlax preferred to just sit and sleep, so it spent the journey in its ball. Alan was hoping that the three of them would be able to make the trek together, but Munchlax wouldn't be able to keep up, much less give the effort.

Eevee was quite excited to be in the new city, excited enough to run off from its trainer and go exploring.

"Ee!" Alan shouted after his Pokemon. "Don't wander off with out me!"

Alan ran off after Eeve, hoping it wouldn't get into any trouble.

Yolie usually tended to wake up later in the day. Today was no exception, as she finally shrugged out of her bed sheets at around 11am. Knope hopped up on the bed and cries in excitement, exclaiming good morning. Eve hovered around Yolie, with a smirk.

"Good morning , Knope. Don't hope around like you own the place, we have to leave within the hour or else we will have to pay for a second day! And what are you smiling at Eve? Can't handle my beauty sleep?"

Yolie stuck her tongue out at Eve, who returned it with a snicker. She walked to the bathroom and glanced at the mirror. She stood motionless for a few seconds, and then exited the bathroom.

Yolie held her hair in her hand, which was tied on a knot, and issued a deadpan stare at Eve.

"How....how did you even do this?"

Eve snickered and laughed, as a beam collected Eve back into her ball.

Yolie laughed, unknotted her hair, brushed her teeth, and hopped in the shower for a quick cleaning. Knope skimmed the floor for trash to eat, while cleaning the room. Before he could finish chewing on a piece of wrapper, he was knabbed by Yolie in almost an instant. His trainer, wearing only a bath towel, rushed Knope and submerged him into the soapy bathtub.

"Don't think you can get away with such a putrid smell forever! You may stink, but you are certainly going to be clean!"

"Errrr! Urishub!" Knope struggled to get out of the tub and remove soap from its body, but gave up soon after. It lightheartedly sighed and made things easier for the wash.

Yolie made it to the front counter and checked out of her room. She and Knope walked out of the inn, and trecked towards Route 2.

"P.U. Even after a bath, you still stink." Yolie said to Knope l, while gripping her nose.

While the two continued to walk, Knope looked up at his trainer and then shut his eyes. He clenched his hands and gave a constipated look and perked its ear tufts. Within seconds, the foul stench had dissipated.

"I mean, it isn't a sweet scent, but that'll do Knope. Let's blow this popsicle stand."

Yolie stopped in front of the exit of Gronk City, and looked back. Her first town and first route were behind her now. She was ready to really begin her journey. If all trainers did was walk from town to town visiting gyms, that seemed kind of tedious. What else is a trainer meant to do? In anycase, she turned around and took her first steps onto Route 2.

Stop where are you are" ghost yelled after several guys taking off route 2 "spinarack use string shot to tie them up" she ordered the two bug types as they did so she walked up to them "did you really thing you could steal around here cause if so your stupider then an egg" she growled as she started to search them getting several poke balls, pokedexs, and other items "that seems to be the last if it welp have fun in jail boys" she spoke as a flygon landed with her father getting off "nice work sweetheart" he said to her smiling as he patted her head "I'll take these to to the base meet me there and we'll give the people there items back and i got a surprise for you when you get there alright" ghost nodded at that and smiled as the spinarack scurried off back to there homes

Marin continued to walk down Route 2 but walked past a sign saying that "Grioru City - 5 miles," Marin stared at the sign with a shocked face. Everybody's stomachs growled one after the other. Marin turned to Asura and Rory and chuckled. "Guess that's our cue to chill for a bit and have some lunch," Asura and Rory cheered excited for lunch. Marin decided to sit beside the path and he started to cook up some stew using some of the berries that Asura collected a while back. He was cooking it in his nifty travel cooker, and he was stirring the stew as it cooked. Asura and Rory started to play tag and chase each other around in the area. "Don't go too far!" Marin yelled whilst focusing on the stew. Asura and Roy started to run back up the path they just came from. They both noticed Def on his Growlie making his way towards them. Rory cheered as he ran towards Growlie and hugged his leg, remembering how soft his fur was. However, Asura got scared at the sight of Growlie again and she let out a cry and sprinted off the path and into the forest.

Ghost was walking back to the ranger base and saw asura running through forest she started to use her capture styler to calm her down as she was a few miles from there camp orin asked her what was wrong and he realyed the message to ghost who nodded

Def noticed the two familiar pokemon just as Roy ran up to hug Growlie's leg. He chuckled in amusement.
"Hey you guys, guess Marin can't be far,"He said as he had a quick glance around, Growlie meanwhile was giving happy grumbles and nuzzling at the Buneary, cute little guy.

Def noticed the terrified look of Asura right before she ran off, " No, Asura! Wait! Growlie, stay with Roy," He called out as he jumped off Growlie and sprinted after her, "Asura! It's not safe, come back, I'll take you to Marin," He called, desperately looking around him as he headed the way she went.

I mostly help out people and pokemon like this little one who ran off from her trainer because she got scared " she said chuckling as spirit ran up to her "hm what is it spirit" as she said this an explosion went off near by "oh arceus ORIN" she screamed running in the explosions direction

When she got there she stood in horror on the ground lay a riolu badly wounded and bleeding from a hole in his stomach "orin....ORIN" she screamed as she ran down only to see team rocket "grrrr you'll pay" hissing as she captured several houndour and told them to surround the rockets

He took out potions and handed them to the girl "quick spray the wounds and feed him this" he handed over a poke puff

Team rocket soon fled the area out of fear as several other rangers ran in "ghost are you alright" her father asked as she looked up with tears in her eyes "help him" she pleaded showing orin

Asura let out a loud cry as she the Pokemon Ranger petted her. "Chi!" She burst out crying and sprinted in another direction. Her anxiety got so bad that anything that moved could send her sprinting and crying. Without realizing she ran straight into Def's leg and fell over. She curled up on the floor and started to shake in terror. "Chikor," She whimpered.

Rory simply sat on Growlie staring into the forest that Asura flees into with a worried look. Rory tightly held on to Growlie's fur as he was getting kind of stressed that Marin's not here and Asura's breaking down again.

"Well it seems some of our operatives have attacked the Ranger and failed badly" the Rocket said "we must avenge our fallen allies"
"Yes sir!" Said the two grunts

Meanwhile Will was journeying across the route when he saw the Flygon. "Whoa" he said "I have to see that"
He followed it on foot

Meanwhile, in front of Zak and Ghost, a massive R appeared before them, it was a grunt, standing atop Golbat. He grumbled
"Prepare for trouble I have no heart"
"And now I'm stuck doing both parts"
"TeAm Rocket blast off in a show of flight"
"Surrender Now or prepare to- WHOA"
Golbat had enthusiastically flew in a circle
"Stop!" The grunt shouted "now use gust and blow those fools out of the sky"

Def stopped suddenly when Asura came in to sight and all at the same time ran in to his legs.
"Hey! There you are," He said and would crouch down to carefully scoop her up.
"There now, it's alright," He said softly as he held her against his chest, "We'll go find Marin, ok?" He'd say, lightly stroking her as he went back towards Rory and Growlie.

"I'll put Growlie away so you can calm down," He said. Growlie heard this and would carefully lower his head to slide Rory off it before he returned to his pokeball. "Do you remember where Marin is, Rory?" Def asked the Buneary, hoping he could lead the way.

As Asura got picked up Asura tensed up her body. "Chikor-Chi!" Asura cried as she started to fidget around in Def's arms. However, Asura slowly released the tension from her body as Def stroked her, she looked up and recognised Def's face. She then started to calm down and wiped her eyes as she realised that she was in no danger and that Def was trustworthy. Asura readjusted her pouch so she could get comfortable in Def's arms. She had calmed down but was on edge still.

Rory cheered as Def emerged from the forest and started to lightly jump and down. "Bun-Bun!" Rory cheered.Rory slid off Growlie's head, he turned around and waved goodbye as he returned to his Pokeball. Rory ran up to Def and hugged his leg, thankful for retrieving Asura. Rory then jumped a couple of steps in front of Def and pointed down the pathway and pointed up at the smoke that was made from Marin's cooking. "Buneary," Rory said as he started to head down the path. Asura was unaware of Rory as she was turned to Def's chest trying to not pay attention to anything around her as she was scared that she will break down again.

Marin turned around and yelled, "Okay lunch is ready!" But there was no response. "Where did they go *sigh* I told them not to go too far," Marin grumbled as he started to look around for them.
