Private/Closed FairyTail- The Newest Mages

"Uh oh...." Armatyle wasn't too keen of getting drenched, "Purgatory Dragon's ungodly runes!" He said as 8 slabs of brimstone raised from the ground and levitated and orbited around him, each one with blood red runes on them.
Escor ran over to Armatyle and go in ed him behind the slabs, "whatever this is, it better work!"

"Sea King Dragon: Encircling Deluge!"

The words fell on Verity's deaf ears as she tried to read the specific request that Vall had pointed out. It was true that the text was a little small, and her horrible long distance reading wasn't helping much. Vall moved next to her, turned to face the opposite way as Verity noticed through the corner of her eye.

"Verity. I recommend you get down."

Her friend dove to the ground as Verity noticed, for the first time, that there was a considerable amount of water rushing her way. With a small panicked cry of surprise, Verity thrusted her hands out in front of her, palms facing the water. "Snow Magic!" She cried, moving her left hand to overlap with her right. "Winter Shield!"

Once the words left her mouth Verity swung her arms out to her sides, and a blossom of snow erupted from her palms, scattering and then re-solidifying in front of her in the shape of an enormous circle. The shield itself didn't look very sturdy, but when the water hit, snowflakes burst off of the place where it made contact. Some bits of water froze once it hit the shield, causing the dent to disappear as snowflakes replaced it.

Verity gritted her teeth as she held up the shield. Using her magic on such short notice strained her muscles. Normally this wouldn't be very hard, but it was taxing her a bit. "Good lord Cerise...how strong are you?" She mumbled to herself, smiling a bit as she realized the origin of the water.

The water rushed quickly towards Armatyle and Escor, but the moment the water came in contact with one of the slabs all 8 combusted with great amount of heat and a loud Bang that the majority of the water around the two vaporised instantly but also left their vision obscured by the mass of steam.
"Oh wow I can barely see a thing" Escor said with all the steam around him, "and it's really hot here...".
"Well one could say I was just..... warming up" Armatyle said with a smirk plastered on hid face.
"Sigh..... He is one of those people...." Escor thought to himself.

Jasper smirked and looked at Cerise." FIRE DEVIL INFERNOO!" He yelled and the flames around him increased in size, heat, everything really. It began to evaporate the water and he cursed as sweat beaded on his face, dripping off his nose. He lost control and explosion was similar to a nuclear bomb erupted in a mushroom of super heated flame." Cerise put it out quick I can't control it!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as the flames engulfed him.

Through the flames he began to grow. A random guild member ran up to Verity." He's going to go Devil Craze you have to seal him in a strong spell. He's going to become a metaphorical devil. It comes from being trained by one I guess." He ran off towards the flames and the guild member joined the rest of the guild trying to contain it.

"Wait, what?! Uh - Sea King Dragon Roar!"

Cerise started to panic at Jasper's inability to control the fire. The Fire Devil Screech that hit her was a blow on her magic wnergy, but she had enough to help out. She used her magic in order to put out the fire, but the fire was way too strong. She managed to put out a decently sozed chunk before falling onto her knees, wheezing and coughing. "I - *cough* - I can't... do it... all..." She said to herself.

She shook her head and stood up again, shaking and stumbling slightly. Cerise prepared another Sea King Dragon Roar, but as she used it, she joticed that the water wasn't as pressurized as before, and it evaporated quickly. She tried again, trying to Roar through coughs, but in the end, she fell again. "I can't... put it all out!" Cerise shouted at Jasper through coughs and gasps for air.

The heat was already doing a number on her, but the flames were increasing in size, and she couldn't put them out anymore. I shouldn't have done this! I made a mistake! I'm so sorry... Cerise thought, trying to say aloud the last part, but failing to make a sound.

Armatyle saw that Cerise fail to extinguish the flame, being a Purgatory dragon Slayer he went over to the flame and inhaled deeply, eating a chunk of the fire before repeating from a different angel, Escor ran over to Cerise and tried to help her up to her feet, "you stressed yourself out, take rest, by the time Armatyle is full you'd be able to use your powers efficiently again"

Cerise felt herself rise, and looked to her side to see Escor helping her to her feet. She coughed, then looked up at Escor. "Thanks, Doc *cough*... I think I can... try one more..." She said, grunting as she stood.

She got into another Sea King Dragon Roar stance, and attempted to aim her stance at the massive amounts of fire. Her vision was blurred, and her sense of balance was fading thanks to her overuse of magic. She had a lot of magic energy, but she was tired that morning, and she overdid herself with the first couple of attacks. Her body wasn't prepared for the Fire Devil Screech either, and it took quite some energy to withstand that. However, Cerise was determined to make things right. She stumbled, but eventually stood still in another Sea King Dragon Roar stance, taking a deep breath in to prepare herself.

The commotion came to a halt as a giant arm plucked out the now half human Jasper." It's Master." Was the only whisper to float around the guild as Jasper struggled in his grip, four arms pushing at the large hand to get free." WHATS THE MEANING OF THIS JASPER?" A voice boomed and the head of Master peered at the devil slayer. Jaspers body began to glow and the black and red molten skin shifted back to normal. He hung his head and fell unconscious." How did this happen?"

Jasper was laid on a table, unable to do anything as Master stared at the rest of the guild." How did this happen? He could have destroyed Magnolia if I didn't get here." He reverted to his normal size and looked around. A guild member ran to him and whispered something in his ear, bending down of course. He grunted and picked out the members in the crowd." Team Penance. Step forward. I need to talk with you somewhere less open." He turned and grabbed jasper with his giant limbs and walked towards a more private area of the guild.

Luckily for Vall, the bushs had grown thick, and most of the water was blocked by leaves and branches. After the water stopped flying, Vall exited the bushes, and was met by what looked like the apocalypse. After Master said to follow him, he cursed in his native tongue. He began to walk, closely followed by Talon and Nut.

Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no! We're in huge trouble!

Cerise was able to stand, but walking was another story. She was exhausted - until she remembered one key element of being a Dragon Slayer: the ability to consume her element. She walked over to the bar, scanned for some water, and when she found some, literally inhaled it. She sighed, feeling better physically, but not emotionally. Master was about to scold the ever living daylights out of her. Sadly, she hung her head and followed her Master away from the guild's main area.

"Grr.... great, haven't started a mission yet and now we're in trouble...." Armatyle grumbled as he followed the others
"Well then, let's just hope it's only a scolding" Escor said as he absent mindedly played with the celestial Key around his neck, walking over and thinking of all the possibilities to what is about to happen.

"Team Penance. Step forward. I need to talk to you somewhere less open."

The words rang in Verity's ears, making her squeak in a slight sense of terror. The Snow shield had melted from the intense heat of the Fire Devil Slayer's attack, not to mention that her sleeves were singed due to the snow mage's desperate attempt to block her face from her heat. Snow mages have trouble with heat, naturally. So even though she wasn't particularly near the two fighting mages and she wasn't the recipient of the attack, Verity felt as if the heat would melt her skin off her bones. But then was then, and the Master's rage would be much scarier than any heat.

As Verity followed the rest of her team, she ran through possiblilities behind this summoning. She didn't get very far in her thoughts before she began to think that she would be expelled from Fairy Tail. Her hands moved together and cupped as a small Daylily made of snow formed in her hands. The young Mage smiled and stuck the powdery plant in her braid, but it didn't melt as she expected it to. Her confusion was quickly wiped away as she continued to follow Master.

Jasper awoke to the rough hand of the Master. He was dropped into a chair and cursed when he checked his skin." Molten like lava." He muttered as the shirt had been nearly disintegrated completely as he began the accidental demon craze. He looked up to see most of team Penance filling behind him.

Master sat in a chair at the table and looked at the mages." Cerise." He covered his face in annoyance and looked at her." Although you are fairly new and didn't know anything, I have to punish you for your actions in fighting Jasper. I know he asked it you but should never take him seriously. Natsu did that and ended up looking like a mummy." He shook his head and sighed, thinking of all the bandages and casts Natsu was put in and Jasper apologising like a mad man." Verity, Armamtyle, Vall, Dr Escor. I know you played little part in this but as a team you have to be punished. So you shall now have a new member. S class Jasper Heart shall now be a member of team penance. He will have to teach you and train you. You will split the Jewel you get in missions to pay for the damage of the guild. Heavens knows what Erza would have done." He muttered after his announcement. He dismissed them and Hasper hobbled out if the room, parts of his body glowing with thermal energy." Er... Sorry about that." He leaned towards Cerise. He left them to contimplate and sat at the bar." Any fire?" He asked and looked over at the spot where Cana is and frowned. He dismissed the thought as someone handed him a fairly large torch.

"I sincerely apologize, Master. I swear to never do that again. I accept my punishment." Cerise responded to the not-so-thrilled Makarov.

Cerise was legitimately dissapointed in herself. She messed up, and her team had to pay for it. She fought the urge to get upset and cry, but she still had to apologize. "I must apologize to you all as well. That was uncalled for, and I am in the wrong. If I can do anything for each of you, by all means, tell me." She said, bowing in front of her teammates, sans Jasper.

She clutched her guild mark as she stood bowing in front of her team. She understood that when one falls, the team falls. The thing is, she didn't want to be the reason that the team falls. She let go of her shoulder, and stood up straight, though she failed to look her team in the eyes.

Jasper walked over to Cerise, torch in hand he went to pat her shoulder to cheer her up, before realising he was holding the torch and cast it aside once the flame was devoured." You know, it was my fault." He grinned and looked at the others." S class Jasper Heart, we've only met today so you won't know much about me." He bowed and let of a faint smile, like the wispy smoke of a dying candle." Story time kids. Who wants to learn about me?" He grabbed a chair and beckoned any guild members near enough to hear the speech.

Armatyle was ticked since he was getting punished despite not only not doing anything wrong but also help with the fire, he kept quiet though and nodded to Cerise's bow

Escor also nodded, he know he was possibly the only one thrilled by the punishment since he had an interest in Demons and things related to them in the past so having jasper on the team was an opportunity offered to him on a silver tray, and was thrilled at Jasper's offer "I'd like to"

Jasper looked at the Doctor dude and nodded." I'll start then." He breathed in deeply and sighed." Where to begin?" He questioned himself and nodded." The earliest I can remember was living on the family farm, an obscenely remote place, so much that I didn't know there were other people alive. But everything went sour. Kaimetsu appeared. The sun was blotted out by its body and it burnt everything. Everything. Down to the last grain of rice. I was spared for some reason. My bloodlust and hatred towards the creature drive me to seek his power. So I did." He cracked his knuckles and continued.

" After months of being on the verge of death he finally accepted my request. Years past and I had walked through many razed towns and villages, most were taken off the maps and left as desolate wastelands." He lit his hand alight and glared at it." The training worked and the minute I succeeded I mutdered it in its sleep. I had no clue what to do with my life, speaking a long forgotten dialect used by Devils didn't really help me socialise and I ended up burning the places to dust. Rumours spread about me, saying that there was a devil shaped like a human slaughtering the south of Fiore. Fairy Tail found me and failed catching me. I slipped away right into the hands of Master. He brought me back and he I am 6 years later." He stood up and dusted off his hands." Anyone who wants to know more about Devils find me." He smiled and walked towards the stairs leading towards the S class missions.

Vall watched him go. Being as wise as he was, he saw it as a opportunity to learn. He looked over at Cerise. "Apology accepted. Now, if Master would allow me to, why don't we feast on raspberries? Seems like a good idea." He said. Than, seeing how Jasper was leaving, he followed, Nut on his shoulder and Talon soaring ahead.

Cerise flinched as Jasper pat her shoulder, but stood silent as he went on to tell the rest of his new team his backstory. Something within her, some area deep within her mind was jealous. He had a backstory, one he could share. Her story wasn't something she remembered, and simply thinking about it pained her even more. Once Jasper was done with his story and had left, Cerise faced her team. "You guys must understand. I mean it. I feel bad for doing this to you. Is there anything, absolutely anything I can do for you guys?" She said, still not over her previous failure.

"Nah. We're a team. My chieftain said once that in times of crisis the clan must help each other. Well, I'm happy to say he was right. Now, if we find some sort of dirt I can grow raspberries, like I promised." Vall said, walking back.

"Cerise...."

Verity frowned slightly upon hearing Cerise's apology. Her bow as well, it was unsettling. The Snow Mage was tempted to go and comfort her teammate, as the Sea King Dragon Slayer seemed genuinely concerned about her actions, but the Fire Devil Slayer beat her to it. In all honesty, Verity didn't think that the punishment was Jasper joining the team, in fact she saw that as an asset. Instead the punishment here was the realization that one team member's actions can and will affect the whole entire group. This time it was minor- just a simple scuffle that may or may not have been life threatening to the guild. But what would happen if, say, she accidentally hit the wrong opponent, or didn't listen to her team members accurately enough? Verity could easily use White Out and simply dig everyone in snow, when Vall needed her to use a White Fury attack instead. It would be a simple mistake in a situation like that, but it could be life threatening.

Verity was hesitant to accept Cerise's apology, but it was only due to the fact that she saw no reason for the Mage to apologize. If it were anyone's fault, it'd be Jaspers because he was the one who accepted her offer to spar indoors. The hesitation proved to be a mistake, as the Fire Devil Slayer began to ramble about his past in response to Escor's intrest in his background. Verity shot her own apologetic glance at Cerise, hoping that the Dragon Slayer would understand that she didn't have the guts to interrupt Jasper.

In all honesty, Verity did think of Jasper as an asset to the team, but she was scared of him. His Fire Devil Slayer magic was beyond frightening. The Snow Mage had better get used to hotter temperatures if she were to be working with him. Instantly her mind wandered to Armatyle and his Purgetory Dragon Slayer magic. It was fire too- but why wasn't she intimidated by him? What was so...scary about this Devil Slayer? Too many questions. Her mind snapped to reality as Jasper walked away and Cerise began to talk again.

"You guys must understand. I mean it. I feel bad for doing this to you. Is there anything, absolutely anything I can do for you guys?"

"Well, in contradiction to what Vall said, you can do something for me, please?" Verity said, finally getting her chance to talk after Vall finished. "Could you possibly help me to not melt while the two fire mages practice? I'm not literally made of snow, but being trapped in cold temperatures all the time due to your magic can really affect one's sense of what is 'hot' and 'cold'." She smirked, not actually meaning for the Dragon Slayer to help her with that- her situation there was beyond hope. "I'm kidding. You have no grudges in this group, and none of us think that you're a bad person because of this, so I don't see why you have to go out of your way to do something for us." She added, smiling by the end.

"I would love some Razzberries, I bet they're delicious, but I have to go. There are... Things... I have to do." Verity glanced down, unwilling to let her teammates try to read her emotions- her fear in other words. With a smile she waved and began to trek her way to the front entrance, but then stopped momentarily. Verity looked ahead and turned around, and then started walking to the back door that was to the right of the bar. 'That should guarantee some free time.' She thought to herself as she slyly slid through the back door noiselessly.

Most everyone in the guild had seen her walk out the front door. Sometimes Verity wonders why her Illusion magic isn't as strong as her Snow Magic, because she can easily make it seem that she walked somewhere that she didn't. However, she was a littler nervous about the dragon slayers. 'Could they tell that the illusion wasn't me? After all, I can't make illusions have my scent or physicality.' Verity wondered as she sat in the center of a small feild that lay behind the guild hall.

Armatyle was watching as Verity left, he knew something is wrong but his grumbling stomach made it hard to focus, "I'd like some raspberry too..." he said as he absent mindedly juggled two tiny Blood Red flames with 2 fingers.

Escor noticed this and elbowed him lightly "1 fire was enough, cut it out will you?" He said as he returned his focus to Jasper.

Armatyle was confused until he saw his hand, he quickly extinguished it and went back to scanning the hall, occasionally glancing at Cerise

Jasper grinned at the as they began to talk about raspberries. He ascended the wooden stairs and stopped at the request board. After a few minutes of hard thinking he jumped down from the floor above, literally jumped!" So this is what I've become? Walking around waiting for a team of new mages to eat raspberries so I can show them the missions." He muttered and swore at the thought of the farm." Forget it." He spat and walked towards the group.

He was obviously a bit nervous as he walked towards them, but he didn't show it." I have 2 S class jobs. Pick one or I'll get a normal job if you don't think you can handle them." He grinned, one of the jobs was subduing a dangerous, presumably a devilish, enemy.

As Verity left, Cerise noticed something was wrong. She ignored Jasper handing the rest of her team a few S Class jobs and focused on her. She saw Verity leave out the front door, but her scent didn't follow through. In fact, it went the opposite direction. "I'll be right back." Cerise said to the rest of her group.

She walked towards the bar, and asked Mira is she could go out of the back door. Mira simply smiled at her, so she assumed she could. As she did, she smelled Verity's scent even before she saw her. She was sitting in an open field area. Cerise didn't know what was up, so she decided to talk to her. Out of the whole of Team Penance, she felt most comfortable talking to Verity. "Verity, are you okay? You came out here somehow, like, I saw you leave one way, but it didn't... smell right? If that made sense. The others are super wrapped up in S Class missions with Jasper, so I excused myself to come see you..." She paused momentarily as she sat down next to Verity, looking at the sky. "So. Is there something wrong, or is there something you want done, or something you want to do? Or are you just here to relax?"

It was reassuring to know that her team was sharp. 'Haha, maybe I should work on my illusions. If only Mavis could teach me her tricks.' Verity thought to herself as she felt someone grow closer. The back door of the guild closed, and someone's footprints were coming this way, but she could already tell that it was Cerise. She didn't have senses like a Dragon Slayer, but when your magic depends on memorizing other's moving patterns and footfalls, it becomes hard not to notice the difference. "Hey, Cerise." Verity said in greeting as she looked at the Dragon Slayer. She was glad that it was Cerise that came, after all, she felt very at ease around her.

"Verity, are you okay? You came out here somehow, like, I saw you leave one way, but it didn't... smell right? If that made sense. The others are super wrapped up in S Class missions with Jasper, so I excused myself to come see you..."

Verity smiled. "Well it seems like I'm doing something right." She said, as she stood up. "Sea King Dragon: Encircling Deluge!" She cast the spell, and enormous amounts of water burst forth from Verity, but then it all faded in a golden light, and Verity was back sitting on the ground. "I didn't move at all. It's Illusion magic. I studied it a bit after my accident with my hands. I can do quite a few things with it now." She paused, thinking that she explained herself more then enough at this point. She Adressed the second part of Cerise's statement. "S class? Already? Haha, somehow I can see all of us jumping straight unto the difficult missions as soon as we're allowed." Verity laughed.

"So. Is there something wrong, or is there something you want done, or something you want to do? Or are you just here to relax?"

"Nothing's wrong in particular. I was just going to sit for a little bit before practicing." Verity looked up at the sky, which was a beautiful pale blue. "Haha, who am I kidding? To be honest, I'm pretty scared of Jasper. I don't know if it's his magic or his overall presence, but it's super unnerving to me. Don't get me wrong, he'll be an amazing asset to our team, but still." She added, feeling relieved as she let that off her chest. With a smile and a feeling of content, Verity stood up. "So I know that you just recovered from sparring with Jasper, but I really need to practice some things. Do you have a moment? If you're magic is too low, I understand completely, go rest if so, but somehow I think that a match with me will be a lot less difficult than one with an S-Class Mage."

"Sparring? Oh. My magic energy is fine so long as I have... where is it?" Cerise searched her person until she found a water bottle. She popped the top off of it and inhaled the water. Kicking the bottle away, she stood up straight. "I'd be happy to spar with you. A decent ways away from the guild hall this time. I don't wanna get you guys in trouble again."

She let water engulf her hands as she gave her friend a smile. She was happy to do something for her, especially after what previously happened. She understood her fear of Jasper, but didn't want to bring that back to light. Instead, she walked a bit further away from the guild hall. "I'm gonna warn you. I won't be holding back. I may not be at 100% power, but I'm good enough! C'mon, let's go find somewhere to spar."

Armatyle's eyes fixed onto Jasper when he offered the S Class jobs, "don't think we can handle it? I'm ready for anything a demon can throw at me!" He stated with a joyed and excited face, he really hated being indoors since he wasn't able to use his magic unless he wanted to burn the guild down, but who could blame him? The only fire based slayer magic that can eat his fire without the need to empty out all of their magic is fire god slayer, which he doubted that Fairy Tail had one in the guild

Verity smiled as her friend accepted her request to spar, and drank (it looked more like inhaling actually) the water from a water bottle that she found on her person. Most mage's can sense magic power, even weak ones, and it didn't take an expert to show Verity that Cerise was back to semi-normal power. 'This'll be fun.' She thought, letting a smirk wriggle its way into her face.

"Oh please! I don't want you to hold back! How am I supposed to get better if nobody takes my practicing seriously?" Verity chirped in reply to Cerise's statements. The Sea King Dragon Slayer had evidently summoned water to circle around her hands. Cerise had also moved a little away from the guild hall, which Verity did as well, getting quite the distance from the guild hall. "This should be good." She noted idly as she mentally prepared herself to spar.

Taking a deep breath, Verity willed the temperature to drop, and it did. It was only around Verity, but she was never sure if others could feel the drop. Snowflakes began to swirl around her wrists and hands, moving furiously fast. She wasn't strong, so being fast and being deceptive was her form of attack. "Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I'll make the first move. I've been absolutely itching to use this one." Verity called, preparing herself to cast the spell.

"Snow Magic! Frosted Garden!"

Massive amounts of snow burst forth from Verity's hands, layering the feild's grass with a blanket of snow. Once it was done, Verity's feet were submerged in the snow. After one moment, the snow seemed to come to life, reaching towards the sky and forming a plethora of flowers and plants out of snow- most were roses. Their thorns were made of snow as well, but even enchanted snow can feel like swords if touched.

Vall had already grown the raspberries, and gestured to the bush. "Eat up." He said. He looked at both jobs. He squinted. "Do tell what they mean." He didn't wait for an answer, and walked off, thinking of going outside to commune with nature. When he got outside, he saw a massive amount of death-snow-flowers, which he didn't feel like going thru. In anycase, he went around the match, attempted to ignore the sudden drop in temperature, and sat down, absently growing the grass around him, and turning it back to normal.

Jasper raised an eyebrow at Armantyle and put the jobs on a table." Something feels wrong. A soul just made a massive amount of magic energy." He looked at them and shot his finger guns at them in a 'goodbye' gesture. He walked out of the guild and sighed as he was bombarded by a mass of white." Oh please." He muttered as the snow melted from his cloak of flames. He walked along and cursed as Verity began to fight Cerise." Er... Hi I guess." He grinned and watched intently." Sorry about all of this." He apologised as the 10 metre area around his had been melted and burnt.he looked down at a bloody smear that must have been takes across him by one of those thorns." How bothersome." He ywned as he set fire to the wound to seal it.

The area around him caught light and he grinned." What a nice bed." He murmured and took off the few remaining scraps of his shirt." I'll get a new one tomorrow." He said to no one and cursed." It's still morning isn't it." He shook himself off and jumped up." I'm going into the Magnolia market. Anyone wanna join?" He grabbed his jumper that hadn't been burnt due to him not wearing it and he put it on." Anything is on me. Buy to your hearts content." He looked in his wallet and smiled." 200,000 Jewel. Damn I'm going to have to do a job soon."

Cerise looked on in awe at the snow that sprouted forth, creating flowers. She knelt down to touch a rose, but to her surprise, the thorns actually hurt her. She snapped her hand back, re-encasing it in water. She aimed her hands towards Verity with a smirk and got into a stance. "Sea King Dragon Roar!" She shouted as she put her hands in front of her mouth and expelled a massive burst of water from it. Because she wasn't fully recharged, so to speak, the water wasn't as highly pressurized as she wanted, but it was still able to rip through the snow flowers like they were nothing.

"It seems as if our S-Class Mage has joined us." Verity noted, shooting a glance at Jasper and nodding in greeting as he gazed at the melted snow around his feet. There was still plenty of snow for her to manipulate. He seemed to completely remove his shirt, which was unusual at first for the Snow Mage. 'I literally made it 20 degrees Fahrenheit out here to sustain the snow.' She thought to herself, but then she remember that he was a fire Mage. 'Idiot. Naturally he'd be immune to the cold.' Verity noticed that he proposed the idea of shopping, but she waved her hand idly at him, returning her gaze to Cerise, who had evidently mistaken the flowers as harmless. "Ah, we're sparring right now. Maybe later, 'K?" She said, bracing herself as Cerise prepared an attack.

"Sea King Dragon's Roar!"

"Snow Magic! Winter's Sheild!" Verity cried in response, but she was a little late. Her gaze was stuck on the stream of still-very-pressurized water. The water cut through the snow as if it were butter to a knife, but that wasn't supposed to happen! It was supposed to be stronger... Wait wait. She didn't do the spell correctly. It's 'Snow Magic, Burst into bloom, Frosted Garden'. How careless was she to forget a whole part of her spell? Besides that, a small portion of the roar made contact on Verity's stomach before the snow reformed in front of her, making the shield. However, the Sheild wasn't very well placed and was quickly decreasing in functionality, so she had to act.

"Snow Magic, White Fang!"

She sustained the Sheild with her right hand as a flurry of snowflakes, roughly in the shape of pointed thorns, swirled around her left before it launched around the Sheild and raced towards Cerise.

Cerise was compleyely wrapped up in the fight. She backflipped to dodge some of the newly summoned snow thorns, then proceeded to run from the others. One hit her arm just barely, tearing her sleeve. She shook her arm as she prepared her next spell. Water swirled around her fist, and eventually calmed down. It looked like a blue metal encased her fist, but it was still water, just highly pressurized. "Sea King Dragon: Pressure Fist!" She yelled as she leapt into the air, crashing her water-covered fist onto the snow shield with all her might. As she landed, some of the snow thorns scratched at her legs, but she focused on attempting to shatter the shield. She heard a crack, and not bothering to verify if it was indeed from the shield, she pressed on even harder. She may have been enjoying this practice match a little bit too much, but she was still eager to test the strengths of her fellow teammates. First Jasper, now her good pal Verity. She gave a toothy grin as she pressed on with another punch entirely, hand still encased in the spell.

Verity's heart raced with adrenaline as she watched the attack, White Fang, brush up against Cerise. The Dragon slayer didn't seem phased by the attack however, and it looked as if her next spell had encased her hand in a deep blue metal.

"Sea King Dragon: Pressurized Fist!"

Her teammate lept into the air and crashed down on Verity's snow shield at full force. 'Only one hand can't contain this amount of power!' She thought in panic as she felt her magic barrier weaken and crack. Trying to keep her cool, Verity took a deep breath as she waited for the right moment. Cerise had continued to punch the shield, and it would break any moment. It seemed as if the Dragon Slayer was enjoying herself quite a bit. 'That makes two of us.' Verity thought as the shield in front of her burst and scattered as tiny little harmless snowflakes. The Snow Mage attempted to move a bit, which she did, but Cerise's punch made contact with her shoulder as she moved, knocking Verity back- actually flying. Either that punch packed a lot of power or the Snow Mage hadn't perfected how to hold her ground.

Verity touched the ground with her hands and did a back handspring before landing semi-gracefully (not really) landing on her feet. She stumbled for a second, but then regained her balance and quickly checked her shoulder. "Holy cow Cerise! Remind me never to get on your bad side. That... *huff*... was one heck of a powerful punch!" Verity called once she recollected her composure.

"Snow Magic! Avalanche!" She said, extending her hands outwards with her fists closed. When she opened her palms, the spell appeared a few meters above Cerise's head. It took a second, but snow debris began to fall from the spell. Verity grimaced at her choice, after all, this was easily her simplest spells to dodge, but she wanted to buy some time to recover a bit from the Frosted Garden spell, which was slowly fading.

Escor was in real need of fresh air, apparently unlike normal fire smoke Armatyle's hellfire releases a noxious fume and sitting close to him while he absent mindedly juggled them was a mistake, as he walked out he noticed Cerise and Verity training, he leaned against the wall and watched as the battle went on, 'water can melt snow and High pressure water can shatter ice..... but ice and snow can also freeze water' he thought to himself as he watched the to magics clash, both with an advantage against the other

"Yeah, I've been practicing that move in particu-"

Cerise was interrupted by a mound of snow covering her from above. She completely forgot that Verity used a spell, and while she was speaking, it got her. She burrowed her way through the snow mound and stood up, not so straight, but enough so she wasn't falling over. "Alright, how do you like this one? Sea King Dragon: Encircling Deluge!" She called out to Verity as she prepared her attack.

Normally, she would simply use the one handed variant, but she was feeling hyped up, and used the two handed variety instead. A massive tsunami shot directly forwards from Cerise's palms. Much like the last time she used the spell, she wondered whether or not it was such a great idea. The spell exhausted her every time she used it, so normally it was a last resort. That being said, the spell was powerful, but it took up a lot of energy. Oh boy... I can already feel the fatigue... Cerise thought as she stumbled backwards, still trying to keep the spell going.

Verity wasn't sure if she should be happy that attack landed or surprised that the Avalanche was good for something. Cerise was buried beneath a mound of snow, but the Dragon Slayer emerged only moments later, seemingly determined.

"Alright, how do you like this one? Sea King Dragon: Encircling Deluge!"

The Snow Mage laid her eyes on the massive swell of water that was intended for her this time. "Ooooooh. Impressive." She said, becoming a little delirious at the thought of that attack hitting her. Verity braced herself, knowing that her Winter Sheild would do her no good and none of her other attacks would work. Except her last-ish resort. It's not an advanced spell, after all, she didn't want to give Cerise frostbite, but it's very painful for her to use.

"Snow Magic: Snow Fairy!"

The water was just about at her when the spell activated. Verity's long, braided blonde hair shifted to white at the tips, and it gradually got whiter every second. She wasn't a pale person, but her already pale skin became paler to the point that she seemed drained of all blood. In the corners of her eyes, two snowflakes landed and rested there, confirming that her body temperature was below 32 degrees. "Snow Magic! Whi-" she was cut off by the swell of water, getting hit directly by the attack. Verity tried to stay in one place; her enhancements due to the Snow Fairy spell was sustaining her endurance here. However, the more she called on her defensive skills, the faster her hair grew white, and she knew that when her hair was completely white, she would return to normal, somewhat painfully.

Wordlessly, Verity shot a weak White Fang attack, but the Snow Fairy enhancements carried it through the water. She didn't even bother to watch it, as she was fairly certain that she had lost her sense of direction and probably didn't even remotely shoot at Cerise. Suddenly, her time was up. Her hair was white. Verity's body went numb as her skin color returned, and her hair color was given back, but it was gradual and slow, so every little part that was given color again caused some pain, like pins and needles, as it started from her head to her toes. Her head simply was given a headache. Since she didn't use the spell for long, Verity found that the pain wasn't nearly as bad as other times, but it was still uncomfortable.

The Snow Mage found herself swept away by the enormous power of the deluge, and finally found herself on the ground. Be it that she found a way out or the spell ended, she wasn't sure. "Ha....ha.... Cerise... You win...." Verity huffed as she simply stayed in the ground, drained of her energy.

Panting, out of breath, Cerise watched as Verity went almost completely white. She knew that was magic, so she didn't worry. A White Fang attack fired off from her, but it didn't even remotely come close to hitting Cerise. The water swept her away, ending the little match.

"Ha....ha.... Cerise... You win...."

"Verity, are you okay!?"

Cerise rushed to Verity's side after the latter admitted defeat. They were both exhausted, but Verity looked to be in more pain than intended. Cerise, again, was tired, and as she was running, she fell in front of her. Brushing herself off and slowly getting up again, she put her hand on Verity's shoulder - only to instantly recoil from the cold. "Woah, Verity, you are... really cold... I know that's... normal... for you, but sheesh! Anyways, are... you alright? That was so... much... fun!" She tried to speak in full sentences, but had to pause in between words to catch her breath.

She reached for her water bottle in the hopes of regaining her energy, but all she found was a pocket full of nothing. She fell to her knees and coughed, still trying to catch her breath. All the while, she had a smile on her face. "You really are... strong... ya know that Verity? Those attacks... really could've... hurt, hehe! Glad to have... you on... our side, because... I don't know... what I would've done if we... had to fight each other on... opposite sides!" Cerise praised her chilly friend.

Jasper snickered." I know how to get their attention now." He lagged and he whispered to himself." Fire devil arc of ruin." He grinned at them as they had their touching moment and bile came into his mouth.' I thought I would have gotten used to this. Damn it.' He thought and swallowed, the bile evaporating in his mouth as his body temperature increased drastically. His skin glowed and melted on his body.

Well this wasn't expected. The ground actually melted to lava around his feet and flames ensnared him. His nose elongated into a snout and his skin became fur. Elaborate patterns traced along his fur and his eyes gleamed a violent red. Everything settled, the flames descended into the fiery chasm beneath his paws and be sighed." Hi guys... Er I mean girls." He blushed at his mistake. The wolf Jasper looked down at the fire flowing from his paws and the soft snow melting beneath them." Should we get the others? I want to take you guys on a training mission to Mt. Hakobe." He grinned, the devilish face accidentally looking sinister." Oh yeah this form is Kaimetsu's servant demon wolf. When it died he taught me this spell." He looked around and padded towards the guild." Come along now children." He joked and laughed.

Vall had already snuck behind Jasper. "And I'm what? A blade of grass?" Vall joked. "Just let me go to my place. I've got more suitable clothes for climbing mountains than forager wear." Vall said. His clothes were mottled green, and had an abnormally large amounts of pockets. "I fear that magic is hard in extreme temperatures. Unless your like you guys." He continued.
