As the Iberiock continued to rant on, Coal slightly stopped listening, as he had something he wanted to say, but she wouldn't allow an opportunity. The fear of what might happen to him made him just want to run away as fast as he could, and find the safest place he could find and hide there for several hours. He figured there was no turning back now. If he were to just suddenly run away, that would certainly cause some suspicion. He decided to take it head on, and deal with it the best he can.
"He... He didn't do that to the Beedrill... I did." He confessed. "I felt bad about him getting attacked by you, and when I heard screaming and came up here, I saw him being attacked by a Beedrill." He explained to the Iberiock, spreading a few lies here and there. "So, I jumped in to help him and... well, I might have maybe, kinda, sorta used an Ember attack on it." He said, trying to cushion the impact of the truth. "But it was for a good intention! I mean, it's not like I did it because I just suddenly felt like battling something I thought I could beat, right???" He absentmindedly admitted without actually hinting at that being the truth.
He really needs to work on that, because that was just... unbelievable...
