I like that date personally. So many superstitious people out there just make it amusing and notable.

The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia,[1][citation needed] a word derived from the concatenation of the Greek words Paraskeví (Παρασκευή) (meaning Friday), and dekatreís (δεκατρείς) (meaning thirteen), attached to phobía (φοβία) (meaning fear). This is a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a simple phobia (fear) of the number thirteen, and is also known as friggatriskaidekaphobia. The term triskaidekaphobia was derived in 1911 and first appeared in a mainstream source in 1953.[2]

A little off topic here, but I love any obscure word with 'phobia' tacked on the end. They're usually excessively long and hard to pronounce.

I hold no fear of Friday the Thirteenth, it's just another day and a movie series (which I have never seen nor do I really wish to). My boyfriend actually finds it to lucky for him.

Then there's always that Friday the 13th movie coming out tomorrow which was a remake of the older one :p Usually, good things happen to me on Friday the 13th *knocks on wood* >>' But I have had bad things happen to me as well. Who knows what will happen to me tomorrow, I'm not going to any parties, but I know a few people that are :p

My friend Jamie's birthday is tomorrow. =D I gots a birthday surprise for her...a superstitious prank...

ALSO, at my school, Dessert Theatre's Friday performance is tomorrow, so I'm going and yelling "Macbeth" to curse them all doubly. For any doubters out there, I have PROOF that the Macbeth curse WORKS.

...Yeah, I don't really mind Friday the Thirteenth. About the only things I do do superstitiously is not step on any cracks and not mention Macbeth before a play... and there's some voodoo magic involved with bowling. :d​

Anyways, tomorrow is one of my friend's birthday and my parents' wedding annivesary. I feel sorry for them, as my mom's hihgly superstitious. XD

And Saturday is Valentine's Day. How fun. :D

I've never really had any problems on Friday the 13th... my luck just seems the same as any other day. I must admit it's kind of cool that we get three this year XD

I've never been very superstitious anyway. I love black cats and I walk under ladders if they are there. In fact, the only superstition I can think of that I follow is 'touch wood'.

Same here, actually. Our Charity Day is on March 13th, and that's non-uniform or dress-up, depending on your point of view. For me, it's usually the latter. :p

My thoughts precisely. I find this whole thing a load of rubbish. Friday the 13th makes people think bad things are going to happen, so they'll notice all the bad things that normally happen that they usually shrug off, because they expect it.

"Oh noes! My shoe fell off! Damn you, 13th!" *Waves fist*

...pathetic stuff :p

On an unrelated note, NOTHING bad happened to me. Just a normal day, strangely enough. ::)

See El, that's the power of Friday the 13th working against you (or just bad timing).

So far the worst thing to happen to me today was there were only two peices of bread left so I could only make one sandwich, and the bottom edge was hard. It would have probably gone the same way had this been any other day. :p

Actually, my Friday the 13th has been a good day. For some reason we had no school today. :D So I got to sleep in late and get glued to the computer once I got my lazy ass out of bed. :D

Actually, today was my lucky day. I beat my friend's uber legendary team with my non-legendary team. Last Friday the 13th though, I got hit in the head with a locker twice.

My coffee pot broke...while there was coffee in it, but fortunately I didn't break it :p

I also had a glass pitcher break on my head(yes, REAL glass, not that fake stuff) in Drama, got strangled by a mic cord, and was nearly ran over by a car as I was leaving school.

Well, my Friday the 13th pretty much was amazing, like always :p I had two guys buy me flowers today at lunch for my V-Day present, like out of nowhere and they were delivered to my class o.o'

I got 100% on both my Spanish quiz and presentation thing that was recorded on video

And to top it off, all my enemies irl are having horrible days :D

Yeah, today was one of my better days. I had NO challenging homework (besides 2 projects due, like, next month... plus math is easy today), I was, for once, not worried about missing homework today, and church was very fun. The only thing was that my computer's stupid internet stopped working. This is why you never get a refurbished Vista...

My Friday 13th (even though I'm a few hours late):
  • sleep
  • eat
  • play video games
  • homework
  • forget that friday 13th even exists
  • do the same for valentines day

However, the days following it were downright bizzare

Come to think of it, you're right. I didn't know it was Friday 13th, so I didn't notice anything bad happening.

Heh. Usually I have great luck on Friday the 13, as I usually have very bad luck. As in the roads flooded the only day it was possible for me to get Shaymin.

Yesterday:

-Got to do joint controls in karate (My favorite! I love hurting people.)
-Played no-holds-barred dodgeball with my friends (Yes, I'm in college and I still like dodgeball) and I didn't get hit once
-Got to eat awesome barbecue
-Got a new moveset on my Shiny Torterra
-There was hardly any schoolwork to do that night
-Got to read books in the book aisle at Wal-Mart without getting chatisted (sp?) by the employees
-Fell asleep with hardly any trouble (as I usually do)
-Dreamt about being in a Harry Potter RP as my character

However, I usually have very bad luck on holidays.

Today:

-Woke up really early not being able to breathe because of a stuffed nose, sore throat, and my sheets somehow getting in my mouth
-Found out I had a horrible temperature and was sick
-Professors gave lots of assignments today, most due soon
-Can't concentrate because of someone's loud TV and music
-Ran out of rodent food today
-Nearly out of rodent bedding and baby carrots for gerbil
-Got yelled at a lot
-I ran out of coffee
-Printer is being stupid
-Internet is being stupid
-Keyboard likes to stop working at random moments

Basically, I am having very bad luck today.

Murphy reared his ugly head for my boyfriend and I on Friday. Thankfully though we got it all sorted out on Valentine's :p But there was residual 'bad luck' when I was trying on clothes, H&M sizing on jeans is confusing for me. Who knew a '27' would be so big?

School
Come home
Dad says we go to mall when his GF gets home
3 hours later we go to aurora to eat
its an hour wait, me and dad go to mall
i get 3 Xbox 360 games:CoD4 & Battlestations Midway(used)
We eat
I get home, pop in Battlestations Midway, only to find it has over 20 small cracks in it
i get pissed
i play CoD 4 all night.

So it was a good day, till Midway...
