XY/ORAS Friend Safari Ditto problems

I have a Friend that has a normal type Friend Safari and I go and search for ditto there but the same two Pokemon keep showing up and not Ditto! Is there anyone that can explain to me why this is?

Have you and they been online at the same time, after they have finished the game? :) I think they have to be online at the same time as you at least once for their Hidden Pokémon to show up.

Oh ok....Well maybe that's what it is. I'm sure he defeated the Elite Four Though but I don't think Ive been online at the same time as he has either LoL
