"I-"

It was only to be expected that the Officers would want to take her in for questioning, but Ellen was still a bit apprehensive about the whole situation.

"I guess that'd be fine..."

She gazed, shifty-eyed, in the general direction that Newt and Levi had run off in.

"I don't really know them, we had just battled, but the older one is Levi, and the younger one is Newt..."

With that said, Ellen fell silent. She passively watched Nynyve and Cordelia as they went around assisting the Officers and applying Aqua Ring where they could.

“Levi and Newt...”

Officer Jenny restated the names as she jotted them down in her notes. If anything, the two boys seemed to have ran off in the direction of Aquamarine city. All it would take was a little call to the station there to give them a heads up. Now she just needed to get Ellen and Tyler to the station for some questioning.

Speaking of the suspect, Tyler was definitely considering using teleport to escape, but the idea was quickly shoved to the side when he heard the growing sirens in the distance. Soon enough, more police began arriving on the scene along with an ambulance or two. The officers began securing the area before they started their investigation. As for the medics, they quickly ran over to the now stabilized Pokémon, including Mawile and Clamperl to do some check ups.

“Alright. I think we’re good to go.”

After Ellen and her pokemon were cleared, Officer Jenny was ready to go. Unfortunately, the sidecar on her motorcycle was already taken. This meant Ellen would have to be escorted back to the station in a police car instead. After speaking with one of the officers, Officer Jenny beckoned her to go to the vehicle.

“How come she gets the car?”

Tyler could only watch in mock disbelief from his seat as Ellen got the privilege of not riding with a crazy driver. He didn’t even get a helmet...

Devin cleverly created an opening that everyone could use to deal some hefty damage to the Growlithe, and Sandra would gladly use that opening to the best of her capabilities. "Astraea, blast them away with another Water Gun!" Astraea pointed the top-most appendage to the left and fired off a Water Gun, adjusting itself whilst attacking to cover a larger area than normal. Given they were facing a large group of Pokémon, she wanted to finish this fight as soon as possible. "Could really use some combination attacks here, anyone got any ideas?"

Combination attacks?

Well, Devin did have a certain other goal on top of competing in the League where combination moves were a necessity, so as Astraea launched the water gun Devin became inspired and turned to Terra.

"Terra, use the Water Gun as a springboard and focus your Rock Throw along it!" Devin called out, as Terra nodded and fired several rocks along the water gun as the powerful stream shot them at even greater speeds which caused them to slam even more violently into the Growlithe pack; cries of pain grew all the more from these new developments.

Ken walked back onto the main road, his pokemon following him. They had laid the Poacher and his Houdour's unconscious bodies on Rhyhorn's back. "Darn, whatever happened to that Houdour really made it powerful." Talking to himself, Ken breathed heavily. Although not as beat up as his pokemon, Ken still had still taken damage when either the dog pokemon went to bite him, he was hit aside by it or when an ember grazed his person. Needless to say, Ken wasn't in top shape either.

He walked in a clumsy manner. "We better get to somewhere with more people around. In the meanwhile, you guys should rest up. You all found very hard." He pulled out his pokeballs and returned the beat up Geb and 13. "Sorry Rhyhorn but I'll need you to carry those two." The rock rhino nodded in response, it was significantly less hurt than the others.

Ken then noticed the Charmander was still following him. "The poacher has been dealt with, you can go back safely now." The fire type replied by shaking his head. "Huh? Do you perhaps want to..." Before he finished his sentence, Ken heard police sirens in the distance and turned towards their direction.

Ellen stepped in the Police car, returning Nynyve to her Pokeball while Cordelia chose her own preferred seat —Ellen's lap. She remained solemnly silent for the entire journey. The maimed Pokemon, discarded body parts, blossoms of blood...she tried not to think about any of it. Something that proved...difficult, but not impossible.

As things were now, she justed wanted to finish up whatever questioning the officer had for her, and then pretend this whole day had never happened. But...what if it happened again?

Then she'd just need to become stronger, no? As strong as Officer Jenny. Nay, even stronger than that. What couldn't beat her, couldn't hurt her. Although she'd come with hopes of a more peaceful journey, she now owed it to herself to defend herself. The League challenge would be a must. It was the fastest way for any trainer to grow stronger.

It was settled...first thing tomorrow morning, she would start training.

"Good job, does Voltorb know any Electric type moves Rowan? Better make use of them, Water Gun!" Sandra hoped that Rowan would use the Water Gun to conduct electricity to the pack, though she wasn't sure if he was bright enough to catch up on her idea and execute it. No offense to Rowan, but it wouldn't be the first time she was smarter than others. Astraea fired another attack at the pack of Growlithe, wondering how long they would last before they fainted. Its trainer in the meantime kept a sharp eye on the wounded Kangaskhan, it would be an amazing addition to her team but to even get close to catching it, they would need to defeat or scare away the Growlithe and prevent the Parent Pokémon from rampaging and attacking the ones helping her instead.

Poor Lass...

The officer subtly adjusted his cap, shifting his gaze from the rear-view mirror and back to the road. Reflected in the silver glass was the solemn figure of the girl they'd just picked up. She seemed shaken, and —truth be told— so was he. That monstrous Venomoth and its trainer...What a nightmare.

Crazy things were happening in Geminos these days, and while something of this level usually would've gathered the attention of the rangers, even those elite were pressed for time and extra hands. The Region was divided into four sectors, each being overseen by one of the rangers. That was a lot of ground to cover for one human, but the rangers usually managed. However, a string of natural disasters and the potential risk of more had kept the rangers busy. As far as he knew, it would be up to the Police to hold the fort on these crimes...for now.

Speaking of crimes...was today some kind of criminal meet-up?

There caught like a deer in the headlights some wise-ass trying to kidnap some poor sod and his Houndour. The Police car screeched to a halt, and moments later, two officers stepped out.

"All-right buddy, put your hands where I can see them..."

As the sounds of the police sirens grew louder and closer, the police car in question came into view. Ken let out a breath of relief when he saw the authority figures appear. "Oh good, the police is here. Hopefully they can do something about this guy before he bleeds out." He extended a hand out to wave at them.

He took a few steps closer as the police car came to a halt. Ken's relief dwindled a bit when two officers walked out and spoke as if he was a culprit of some crime. "Huh, why are they talking like I'm in trouble? Oh well, first thing's first." Ken did as instructed as put both arms up beside his head before speaking up. "Hello officers, could you help me out with this guy here? He's bleeding quite a bit from that neck wound and I don't know how much he has already lost." Ken said in a calm fashion, glancing towards the poacher who laid on Rhyhorn.

The Charmander looked at the policemen present before turning away, a bit annoyed he was interrupted.

"Acting innocent huh?"

The officers approached with caution, a pair of handcuffs at the ready. "You can tell us all about it at the station buddy."

This innocent act might've worked, had the officers not been a bit jumpy about the sudden appearance of serial killers in the vicinity. They weren't so quick to trust the boy's words, though they did understand that the victim and his Houndour needed immediate medical attention. They would need to do this cautiously, but concisely. They couldn't aggravate the criminal lets the hostage be out at further risk.

"How about you let him down nice and easy...I promise your cuffs won't be too tight."

Seeing the unchanged attitude of officers as they continued to treat him like a criminal, Ken thought to not cause a scene which would make him seen a lot more suspicious and follow along quietly. "Uh, alright." Ken turned towards the Rhyhorn carrying the man and his houndour. "Alright Rhyhorn, put him down gently as the officers said." However, Rhyhorn didn't bother hearing the gently part and rather tossed the man down a bit abruptly.

Ken flinched a bit at the sight of that. "Come on Rhyhorn I said gently." He looked towards the officers. "Sorry about that, this Rhyhorn isn't actually mine. My pokeball got mixed up with my companion's earlier and she ran off before I noticed." Ken apologized. In truth, Rhyhorn did hear the command, it just didn't care enough to follow it.

"He's hostile! Take him down!"

The Rhyhorn's overly aggressive actions were all the Officers needed to prompt them to action. If the Rhyhorn then started a charge, or worst, trampled the hostage, they'd be in major hot-water when they reported back to their base. Their Pokemon had been spent by the battle with the Venomoth, but it wasn't like they'd only ever had one Pokemon on them.

Although they were hesitant, due to the fate of their main partners. They knew what had to be done. Retrieving a fresh set of Pokeballs the officer threw out his second pokemon.

"Jumpluff, Stun Spore!"

A veil of paralytic yellow spores quickly filled the air, drifting towards Ken and his Pokemon.

Meanwhile, while Ellen herself had nodded off to sleep, a certain Pokemon watched the on-going battle from her trainer's lap. Peering through the wind-screen the Mawile stared at the engagement with ridicule, apparently taking everyone involved for idiots.

Ken's uncomfortable smile soon faded as the officers deemed his as hostile and moved on the offensive. "Seriously, what got these officers so fidgety?" He watched as one of then sent out a Jumpluff who rained down yellow spores. "Ah crap Stun Spore. Being paralysed is a really uncomfortable." As he finished his thought, Charmander jumped up and burned all the spores away with Ember.

It then leaped at the Jumpluff with another leap but Ken caught it before that. "Well this isn't good. Now they'll think I'm attacking them or something." Ken let out a sigh and facepalmed before taking out a pokeball and returning the Rhyhorn. "I really don't want to play around anymore." Sliding his hand down his face, the trainer looked at the officers with a deadpan expression. "The more time you waste here the more that guy there bleeds out, now can you stop playing around and do your job? I showed no resistance yet you guys sure do love to jump to conclusions." At this point, Ken just didn't care anymore. "If you won't bring me in, I'll do it myself." He walked by the officers and took the handcuffs from them.

Ken walked up to the police car, opened the back door and took a seat inside. He did not notice Ellen or Cordelia who were also sitting in the backseats due to his annoyed mood. "Geez, I sure hope not all are police force are here like that." He spoke to himself as he handcuffed his hands together.

Charmander had followed Ken into the car and was sitting next to him, holding its tail. Unlike the humain beside it, the fire lizard did notice the other passengers in the backseats and was looking at them sideways.

"Electric moves?" Rowan thought that Sulum would, considering that hes an electric type and stuff, which under further inspection, was a train of thought that was proven correct.

"This should work; Sulum use Spark!" The Ball Pokémon nodded, surrounding himself with a small amount of electricity before Rowan told him to aim at the Water gun that Sandra's Staryu fired, unsure of what she had planned.

"What a nut-job..."

Securing Ken with the hand-cuffs, the Officer retrieved their Pokemon, with one of them riding the backseat between Ken and Ellen as the other drove. They weren't exactly about to leave a suspected murder-kidnapper alone in the back with a victim. As for the other victim, they'd quickly radioed in for an Ambulance and paramedics who arrived shortly after and began administering emergency first-aid.

With the major matters at hand dealt with, the Police car revved its engines and was once again en-route to Aquamarine city.

Meanwhile, as the flippant Charmander mustered the gall to look at her side-ways, Cordelia immediately gave it a sample of her Intimidate ability.

As the electric attack mixed with the water, a powerful electrified current blasted through with the rocks of the Rock Throw sailing along it as the trinity combo attack struck the Growlithe pack.

"GROWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!"

The cries of pain were shot through the forest, as before long the massacre left several Growlithes who had fainted and those who had not fled the scene; the attack on the Kangaskhan was over as Devin let out a large sigh of relief. Though now he had to see if he could turn this sudden attack into the chance he needed to find his first teammate. There was some sort of honor's code among trainers that one should not catch a Pokemon that had been fainted, led to some bad issues of trust if he read up correctly. But what was speculation or truth was impossible to tell....either way he wanted to play it safe.

"Ggggggg...."

Thankfully, and amazingly enough, it seemed not all of the Growltihe who remained had actually fainted. As at least one of them was still up but whatever small margin. The one that jumped out first, still locked eyes with Terra and growled in defiance at her which she returned in kind. Devin let out a sigh.

"Easy girl..." Devin said as he worked to calm Terra down, then pulled out a normal Pokeball as he tossed it at the Growlithe. A flash of red light transported it inside as the Pokeball began to rock back and forth.

Wobble....wobble.

Wobble....wobble.

Wobble...wobble....click!
The ball stopped rocking as the affirmative click signaled the capture. Devin walked over to pick up the new Pokeball and his new teammate. In truth, Devin had some mixed emotions. He was happy he was able to catch a Pokemon, but if the interactions between Terra and it had been any indication then these two may have issues working with each other.

"Alright! Good job guys!" Sandra exclaimed as she fist bumped the sky, before looking at the Kangaskhan. She wanted to make sure it was okay, and a desire to add it to her team grew during the fight. She walked over, slowly as to not scare it. One of the Growlithe still had some fight left in it, though Devin made short work of it. Standing in front of the Kangaskhan, she looked at the wounds on the towering Parent Pokémon. They were not incredibly deep, but they were numerous. Nothing that a visit to the Pokémon center couldn't fix though, and by the looks of it the baby in the pouch was not hurt. If she had to guess, the Kangaskhan refused to fight back in case a Growlithe attacked her baby.

"Hello there, I'm not going to hurt you. I am a friend." Sandra spoke clearly, lowering her profile to appear less intimidating and hoped that Kangaskhan would be calm enough to not attack. "Wow, you really are beautiful aren't you?" The Johtonian said in awe, whilst Astraea looked on from a distance. They didn't seem too keen on Sandra getting this close to a wild Pokémon.

An intense battle between the town Officer’s and...something, had just ended, yet Levi wasn’t aware of this.
Newt’s words echoed in the back of his mind, calling for him to run.

Agreeing to these actions made him feel cowardly, but...what could he have done?
He was just a boy, he and his companion...speaking of which...

“Huh, Newt?” Levi came to a dead stop at the edge of Aquamarine, not realizing just how far he’d ran. Quickly, he wiped the tears away from his eyes, not willing to show the weakness he had prior.

“Newt!” Levi shouted once more, looking back to see if his friend had caught up. Nothing.

Unable to prevent Intimidate’s effect, Charmander felt the effect of the ability’s attack drop and flinched. Not wanting to admit defeat, the Charmander let out a light Growl at the steel fairy type, returning the favour.

At this time, Ken was staring out the window, still oblivious to who else was in the backseat of the police car. “This car seems to be headed towards the next city if my map is correct. Hope I can find Ellen there.” He quietly said to himself while looking at the map on his Pokegear. Hearing Charmander growl, Ken didn’t pay much attention to it. “Settle down Charmander.” He let out in a nonchalant tone.

Ken was observing the route as they drove by, watching the Pokémon and the nature surrounding them. A particularity interesting sight was when he saw a throh helping out a spoink reach some berries atop a tree. He didn’t really recognize the red humanoid pokemon and was only vaguely familiar with the bouncing pig but what he found wondrous was how the two Pokémon with nothing in common could live together like that. This sight lifted Ken’s mood a bit.

“Huff...puff...”

Newt finally creeped into Levi’s line of sight. He was tired, wearily panting. He wasn’t used to that much running. But nevertheless, the Dunsparce trainer came closer.

“You did...you didn’t....”

Still out of breath, Newt leaned on a the tree near Levi, inhaling and exhaling deeply. Collecting his thoughts and his breath, he tried a second time.

“You didn’t wait for me...”

"We need to get it to a Pokemon Center. The next town shouldn't be too far off from where we are." Devin said, as he noted Sandra's inspection of the injured Kangaskhan and realized it needed some help. Where to go seemed easy enough, but how they'd get the injured Parent Pokemon to come with them willingly raised an issue. Though Devin naturally checked with Rowan to see if he had been okay.

Terra herself smiled, proud she was able to help her partner get their first possible teammate. Even if that choice had been one she wasn't....especially fond of, but it seemed that the feeling was in the air as she noticed Astraea give what could only be guessed was a look of disapproval as Sandra inspected the Kangaskhan. Hard to tell with its less than obvious facial features, either way the rock type moved over by the water type as she was too curious not to esquire about it.

"Ruff, Rock Ruff!" (Hey, is something wrong?)

“Sorry. You yelled run, so I assumed you had also started running, and I didn’t wanna look back. Are you alright?” Levi walked up to Newt, giving him a pat on the back as the boy caught his breath.

“What the hell is going on?! What was up with that Venomoth?! All the Officer’s and Pokémon back there ....” At face value, Levi seemed okay, but internally, he was reliving the previous scene again and again.
He had never expected anything like this to occur.
The shaggy haired boy wasn’t even sure if continuing his journey was a wise decision. But what he did know was, he couldn’t just call it quits now, after persuading Newt to come out here with him.

"We can help you, we can protect you and heal your wounds. Your baby will be safe with us, and so will you. Do you trust us?" Sandra spoke clearly and slowly, remembering the lessons of her father when speaking to Pokémon. She held out a Poké Ball in front of her, bowing her head. "Will you allow me to capture you and heal your wounds?"

Astraea turned to face Terra and let its core flash multiple times and cried in a fashion that didn't felt like something any animal would be able to make. "Starrrrrrrr!" (My trainer is exposing herself to unreasonable amounts of danger, there is no reason for her to do that. A smarter idea would be to move forward to the next settlement and alert the humans living there about the situation. It is intruiging, yet confusing at the same time.)

Newt jumped when he felt the pat on the back. He wasn’t used to physical contact, but instead of swatting his hand away, made an exception in this case. He noticed the way that Levi presented himself, how he lacked the same confident demeanor he had been known for.

“Levi.” Newt cleared his throat, not sure how to bring it up. “Is your...emotional state optimal?”

He felt his choice of words was best for the scenario, as he didn’t want to be too personal not just ignore the issue altogether.

Noticing that one growlithe in the pack was looking a little weak, Rowan threw his second to last Pokéball in hopes of catching the fire type. The Pokéball began to shake once. Aco, who had never seen a Pokemon get captured, decided to approach it gingerly. The ball had shaken two more times before bursting open with an angry fire type. Igniting its teeth, the Growlithe took a bite at Aco's neck, as if channeling its inner Dracula.

You're shitting me! It shook three times, that's illegal!

Despite his rage, he was still able to command his Voltorb "Sulum, use sonicboom to get the Growlithe off," At once, the Voltorb fired an the attack, putting some distance between the two pokemon. Once the Growlithe was knocked back, Rowan threw his last Pokéball hoping it would stay this time. Fourtunately, Rowan's party would be adding another member to its ranks.

Thank god...

Clutching the Pokéball of the Growlithe he just caught, he walked over to the Kangashkahn to survey its health for himself. He smiled when he heard Sandra offer to catch the Normal Type and its baby so she could heal their wounds; it was a pleasant distraction from his dwindling anger.

The Charmander's growl deterred Cordelia from any further aggression. The Mawile kept to herself for the rest of the uneventful journey. It was only after the Police car had pulled into the station, that Cordelia began to act-up, awakening Ellen with her commotion. Well rested, the Sinnoh-born trainer appeared a great deal calmer than she did earlier. Or perhaps numbness was setting in.

Either way, she was all too cooperative when she was escorted out of the car and led into the station for questioning.

Ken had, of course, received similar treatment as the officers sought to lead him to a different room for his own interrogation.

Kangaskhan looked at Sandra, not trusting the human. They'd already been attacked today, what if this was a ruse to catch her off guard and hurt her child? The thought of it was horrifying, and frankly it was almost enough for her to attack Sandra. But something stopped her, was it the way that human exposed her neck, was it the fact that the human was a child themselves or was it the fact that her own Pokémon kept their distance and seemed to be in great shape? Maybe it was a combination of all three, as the Kangaskhan seemed to relax slightly and nodded.

Sandra looked up and smiled. "Thank you, this won't hurt you." She pressed the Poké Ball against Kangaskhan's arm and a blinding light enveloped the Parent Pokémon, before an audible click signified that the normal type had been captured. "Okay, let's get to a Pokécenter as soon as possible. I don't want an angry mama after me."

As soon as the cruise started allowing people to get off, Lizzy was the first one to come ashore. She had been preparing for this trip since the minute Angel hatched from an egg. She was so excited to be in Geminos, it was more beautiful than she had ever dreamed of. She then heard a faint "piiix..." from her backpack. It seemed like Angel was waking up from her nap. Lizzy didn't quite understand how her partner could sleep when they were setting out on the adventure they've been waiting their entire lives for, but she was happy that Angel had woken up to see the sights of the city.

Lizzy wanted to get to city hall as fast as she could so she could get her pokedex and, more importantly, her contest pass. While she had prepared and planned her trip weeks in advance, she wasn't exactly sure of the way to go. At home, she used her brother, Alex's, rotomdex in order to study the Geminos region and the different cities. If she remembered correctly, It should be faster to go through the alleyways in order to get to city hall. She started running trying to take in all the sights as she went, and she stopped right outside of the alleyway. Two pokemon were hanging outside of a dumpster in the alleyway. One was purple with a bushy tail and a white stripe, and one was purple and had the same body type as her brother's Dragonair before it evolved into a Dragonite.

"Aww you two are so cute!!! What type of pokemon are you? Do you think maybe you will let me catch you two once I come back with pokeballs, I don't have any on me currently." The two pokemon stared at each other in disbelief before hissing back at her, "Ekans" "Stunky." Oblivious to the fact that the two pokemon were aggravated by her presence, Lizzy continued, "Oh so that's what you two are. I will be sure to come back for you right after I get some pokeballs. If you could just me by I will be back as soon as possible." When she tried to step over the two pokemon the Stunky used scratch and left claw marks in Lizzy's leg. "OWWWWWW!! Why would you do that, I just wanted to get by so I could get to City Hall. Do you not want me to go this way? I'll respect your wishes, but I still think you two are super cute. I'm still coming back after I get some pokeballs."

The pair of pokemon looked at each other as Lizzy skipped down the street toward city hall. They agreed she wouldn't last a day in the city.

Terra listened to the Staryu as it made its case, and after a moment to ponder the thought as she scanned at the Kangaskhan she glanced back and offered her own stance on it.

"Ruff. Rock, ruff rock. Rock." (I think she is doing the right thing. Leaving it alone might risk it and the baby being attacked again, I think it is better to try and take her with is. I think you should trust your partner's judgement.)

And it seemed Sandra had made a decision, as moments later the Kangaskhan was inside the Pokeball as Sandra advised they should move quickly which Devin had not been against as he quickly moved down the path with Terra in toe eager to get to the next town and Pokemon Center as quickly as they could.

Astraea was taken aback for a small second, this Rockruff seemed to have a very clear idea of what is wrong and right. "Starrrr." (....I see your point. Maybe I should let her make her own decisions, she did decide to leave Johto and come here by herself after all. And from what I can see, she made the right choice.) Just as the Pokémon finished talking, the Kangaskhan was caught. "Staryu." (And look at that, she caught the hurt mother. If she could hear us, I bet she'd be taking your side.) Astraea flashed its core in a rhythmic fashion, as if it was laughing.

Sandra returned to the group, following Devin. "Come on Rowan, we're moving on!" She yelled over her shoulder towards the third human of the group as Astraea waddled after his trainer.

Rowan nodded as he took out Mantì and followed his friends. The Fomantis had an a expression that somewhat resembled pouting, to which her trainer had to address.

"Sorry about that, but Sandra and Devin's partners arent weak to fire, and you are. Besides, Aco is the one who got burnt by the Growlithe, you wouldn't wanna deal with that, would you?"

Mantì looked away in some form of guilt before muttering.

"Maann..."(I still wanna help my friends though...)

Meanwhile, Rowan had his own thoughts he was caught up in, chief among them being:

Why am I always holding up the rear?

Astraea had trouble keeping up with the rest and ended up walking next to Mantì. "Staryu, star." (Walking is atrocious, how do humans and Pokémon like this activity?) The Staryu asked the Fomantis, and even with its lack of facial expressions it was pretty clear that it was not happy. Sandra looked back to see how Astraea was holding up and saw her partner was having trouble keeping up. She walked over and decided to walk next to her starter to motivate the Staryu. When she looked around, she saw that Astraea wasn't the only one with troubles. Rowan seemed to be lost in thought, so Sandra tapped him on his shoulder. "You okay Rowan?"

As if sent by a higher being, Astraea decided to make Mantì's company due to being unused to walking. After being asked the question, the Grass Type took a moment to think before providing the best answer her brain came up with.

"Fomantis...mant,"(Well there doesn't seem to be any alternatives that are readily available. The only Pokémon that don't have to walk are flying types and none of our trainers here have any, so walking will have to suffice.) Then due to her upsetness at being discluded from the events, Mantì proceeded to ask the Water-Type a question of her own.

"Mantis..?"(What gives other Pokémon the right to be stronger than others? Doesn't Rowan understand that I wanna be useful to him?)

Speaking of him, Astraea's trainer followed her Pokémon to check up on Rowan, much to his confusion.

"Oh...yeah I'm fine," His tone was indicative of his confusion, however he didnt spend much time lingering on it and instead chose to focus on Sandra's latest accomplishment.

"Great job with the Kangashkahn by the way! I know I couldn't've persuaded the mother like you did: persuasion was never my strong suit anyway,"

Terra in turn had noticed Manti and Astraea had moved by each other and seemed to be conversing as she gave a signal to her partner before she slowed her pace and moved alongside the pair as she listened in and caught the general idea behind both of their concerns. And decided to address each of their concerns.

"Ruff. Rock ruff. Ruff!" (I don't think your trainer has any malicious intent he is just concerned. I think he is just worried about the situation but he really should understand you can't always fight favorable battles and one should be prepared for any matchup. So you should try in a less serious situation to encourage fights with fire types or other Pokemon you'd struggle with to get stronger!) Terra said as she spoke up for both trainer and Pokemon and offered her advise as she shifted to the Staryu.

"Ruff? Rock!" (Why don't you try spinning around on your ends? Like a wheel? Might help you go faster while you learn to find your legs.") Terra advised as she rolled on her side for a moment as if to demonstrate before she moved back to her feet.

Devin himself moved by Sandra and Rowan as he heard Sandra's concern to Rowan while he saw what seemed to be a Mankey by a tree that swung from branch to branch. This place was incredible and he had only been here a couple days!

"Yu. Starrrr." (I'd much rather swim, it is way faster. Pokémon do not have rights over who is stronger than others, it depends on where and how they live along with our types. As a Water type who is used to the crushing pressure of the sea, I am no match for a nimble Grass type like you. As for usefulness, that also comes back to type advantages. There's a reason why my trainer didn't use her newly caught Magnemite. It might have better defenses than me, but I can fight off more Fire types than it. You'd have lost out there, even with the help of me and Rockruff.) Astraea explained to Mantì, when Terra came along and gave them advice. "Starrrrryu? Yu." (Rolling? I never tried it, might be worth trying out though.) Astraea jumped in the air and spun around, before landing and rolling far away. "STARRRRRR! STARRRRYU?" (HELP! HOW DO I TURN?) Astraea did eventually turn, but almost crashed into Mantì once it got back to the crew.

"Oh, it really was nothing. I learned how to act around Pokémon from my father, he always told me to talk slowly and clearly and to prove that you weren't going to hurt them. Showing your neck usually does the trick, as you are open for attack that way." Sandra said with a sheepish smile as she scratched the back of her head, though cries of distress coming from Astraea quickly drew her attention. "Hold it right there!" Sandra quickly stepped aside and grabbed Astraea, though the momentum of the Staryu caused it to barrel into its trainer. The ruckus caused some Ledyba and Togepi to check out the commotion, but Sandra didn't really care for them. Eventually Astraea stopped spinning, though if the flashing of its core meant anything, it was far from happy. "Starrrr...."(Owwwww, the world is spinning......)

Levi stepped away from Newt, leaning against a nearby tree. His expression was blank and his eyes were turned up towards the sky. The young man appeared to be deeply contemplating a simple yes or no question, before whipping his head back to Newt.

“Yeah...yeah, I’m alright. How are you doing?” He finally replied, subconsciously running his thumb along the Pokeball’s in his pocket.

How were his Pokémon? How did they feel about the situation? Was it his right to potentially put them through another situation like this?
Too many questions, too little time to process them all.

"Ruff!? ROCK!" (Star friend!? Hold on I am coming!) Terra cried out, as her eyes widened as she quickly chased the out of control Staryu as she tried to catch it before the water type may have crashed into anything. Fortunantly, the trainer herself stepped in as she grabbed Astraea and picked it up before anymore trouble had been caused. Terra let out a sigh of relief, as apart from the Staryu being dizzy Astraea seemed okay enough and nobody got hurt.

"Hey you guys okay!?"

Though that relief quickly vanished as Devin called out and ran to the scene. Terra tried to play innocent as she moved by Manti and even whistled while she avoided eye contact; which Devin had not been fooled by much to the shock of no one as he shot a glare at his partner Pokemon. The commotion seemed to attract a Poochyana among others as they oberved the scene curious though thankfully no wild Pokemon attacked this time.

"You had something to do with this? Didn't you?" Devin asked as the Rockruff felt a sweat drop fall as she sheepishly smiled wagging her tail though in a guiltish manner.

"Ruff. Ruff. Rock?" (I-I was just trying to help out our new friend. I still think it can help, Astraea just needs to practice and learn how to steer. Is that wrong?) Terra said in defense, though naturally Devin knew not the art of Poke-Speak so he'd have to guess her message but given their partnership to this point it had not been hard to make an educated guess as he let out a sigh.

"Terra, sometimes you can be a bit too nosy in other's affairs for your own good." Devin said simply before he turned to Sandra and Astraea. "S-sorry, Terra can be a bit energetic and often has some "ideas" if she feels it fits the situation. I apologize for her role in that." Devin quickly said as he apologized on Terra's behalf.

Prior to Lizzy's arrival, Ajax had been quietly walking to City Hall as well in order to receive his Pokedex. The Geminos region sounded quite promising; the opportunity to get out of his home back in Mauville City and meet more Trainers to befriend and battle with was a key factor in his decision to leave. While he walked, the teen also considered registering for a Contest Pass; the occupation of Coordinator seemed interesting, and though his main goal in the Geminos region was to become the next Champion, participating in such a field with Florian sounded like fun, especially the aspect of battling with a different style leaning more toward the performing arts.

As Ajax gradually became more lost in thought, he continued to make his way towards City Hall, and he turned a corner to arrive at the front door. Snapped back to reality by his destination in view, the teen quickened his pace, eager to begin his journey through the new region. Unfortunately, he only saw the doors of City Hall, unaware of the skipping girl about to run into him. Caught by surprise from the collision, Ajax stumbled to the side before tripping and rolling into the wall of a building. Letting out a grunt of pain, the teen slowly got up and dusted himself off, cut short by the girl on the ground in front of him. Immediately taking the blame for the accident, Ajax frantically apologized and hurried over to help her up. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going, so I walked right into your path; are you okay?" As he reached out an arm to assist the girl, he then noticed the scratch marks on her leg, and his misunderstanding of the situation prompted him to freak out more. "You got scratched?! I'm such a klutz! Here; I have some ointment and bandages for that. I'm really sorry...." Needless to say, Ajax's first time stepping into the Geminos region wasn't going as well as he would have liked.

“Yeah...yeah, I’m alright. How are you doing?” Levi asked.

“Considering the fact that a murderous Venomoth tried to suck our fluids dry, I’m doing halfway decent.”

Dunsparce came out of Newt’s hood, resting his head on the boy’s shoulder. It seemed as though he had finally realized that the danger had subsided. Newt analyzed the boy in front of him. He wasn’t good at emotions, in fact, he was quite terrible at them. But he knew how to recognize one key thing in Levi’s possession.

“You have doubt.” Newt spoke Bluntly. “I’ve seen it before. You aren’t acting like your annoyingly hyper self. What are you doubting? The police? The man back there? ...Me?”

Lizzy didn't notice the man who walked in front of her to enter city hall, so she collided straight into him and fell on her butt. She started to apologize, but before she could get a word out, the man was profusely apologizing. She thought it best to clarify the situation. "What are you talking about mister? I ran into you, or rather skipped into you, because I was just so excited to start my journey here, I didn't even notice you standing there. The scratch on my leg is from a few adorable pokemon early who were trying to help me find my way here. I'm sorry to bump into you again, but please don't beat yourself up because of my mistake. So what might your name be, why are you at city hall, did you come on the cruise like I did, where are you from, I'm from Alola, *gasps* DO YOU WANT TO BE A COORDINATOR JUST LIKE ME?!?!?"

Lizzy started to jump at this thought as she might have just made a new friend who she can compete against in contests. She thought the man could be a good rival for her as all the best coordinators on tv had rivals.
