Grimoires of Baklava

OOC:All places are taken for this rp. Thank you, come again.

The Baklava galaxy. A curious system amoing the stars. Small, remote, just holding one thing that no other galaxy had. Magic. The place was full to bursting with the stuff. Heck, the galaxy relied on it. But all forces need something to be channeled through. And in Baklava, there were mages. Mages lived in all planets, and could be anyone. From the dry deserts of Erd, the earth planet, to the never-ending beaches of Cassia, mages were present. But they all needed a place to hone their powers from raw to perfect. And those places were schools.

Ramen finished a scribble in his notepad. A gummy frog, in a motorbike. Yes, he was quite bored. Ramen glanced up at the board, scanning over it for any notes to take down. Stifling a yawn, his attention drifted to the window, away from his equally uninspired class. The window was large and gothic, looming over the room like a stilt-walker. Ramen watched the planes zoom by over the city. The school, while removed enough to be outside the city, was in easy reach of the rest of the city. Then, something caught his eye. A tiny, miniscule dot had appeared, hovering in the sky, not too far from the school. The dot dashed, and it came into focus slightly more. A woman, of twenty or so, hovering with palms outstretched in the air. While hovering. The strange sight perplexed Ramen. He rubbed his eyes, and widened them as he saw the woman drawing closer.
" I've got to be dreaming." he muttered to himself.
"Something you want to share with us Ramen?" his teacher shouted sarcastically at him.
" There's someone outside the window..." Ramen said.
"And?" His teacher replied
" She's hovering..."
The teacher walked briskly to the window, followed by the rest of the now awake class.
" What the?" The teacher exclaimed.
The woman now was slowly creeping closer to the school, airborne still, her palms now gathering a considerate amount of Water mana. She stopped a few meters from the school building, before raising her hands above her head. A maniac grin grew on her face. Now that she was closer, her dress revealed to be many layers of fishnets, with bits of fish and crab in them. Her hat, was actually an octopus, tentacles clasped around her neck.
"Oh gods..." the teacher muttered.
It was too late. The woman fired a devastating blast of water at the school, engulfing everthing. Ramen could hear the screams of not only his class mates, but the entire school. The walls began to crack, water gushing in from the shattered window panes. Suddenly, the floor gave way. Ramen felt a lurch as he was dragged under with the force of the torrent.

Onigiri was bored. Like, EXTREMELY bored. He had gone through the notes on the board twice and was now absentmindedly scribbling down a very bad picture of his friend, Ramen. "I've got to be dreaming." all attention Onigiri had left transferred to the seat next to him, his friend, Ramen.
"Something you'd like to share with us Ramen?" Their current teacher, who had not yet been driven insane by Onigiri (And he respected her for it), asked sarcastically.
"There's someone outside the window..." Onigiri shot out of his seat and looked out the window, leaning on his friend's desk.
"And?"
"She's hovering..." Everyone was crowding around Ramen's desk.
"What the?" The lady was close to the school now, and Onigiri saw that the lady was a water mage. He disliked all water mages, except for all the water mages he managed to make friends with. "Oh gods..." When the teacher said that you knew you were in trouble. The lady launched a jet of water at the school and Onigiri swore, but it was drowned out by the water. The water pounded in and Onigiri fell to the floor, writhing. He was a fire mage so water affected him more than his classmates. The floor gave way beneath him and he saw no more.

Another day, another class, and more bore. Why did they have to go though all these boring theories about planetary orbits and its magical connection? The teacher lost Kiento an hour ago, who was now just doodling himself performing a karate chop and sending a group of enemies flying with his wind powers; fantasizing about releasing his made-up branch of magical combat.

"Psst" a voice behind him whispered. Kiento sighed; he knew exactly what the voice wanted. Kiento brought his hands up to his ears and tugged them down over his face to reveal the view of the blackboard to the person behind him. Unlike the rest of his rabbit-morph kin in the school, Kiento's ears pointed upwards rather than flop downwards. Although it made him look hot to some, people in class just found it a bother. It was also getting a bit cold, though that was probably Kiento's fault for his choice of clothing, wearing nothing more grey shorts and a grey jacket with the symbol of Wind etched on the back. However, if he covered up more, he would get too hot easily. That is the problem with having fur. At least he was not the only one feeling bored now; Ramen and Onigiri a couple of rows ahead were doodling away, obviously lost in their own thoughts. With nothing left to do, Kiento lowered his head and drifted off to sl-

"Something you want to share with us Ramen?" the teacher suddenly shouted, something that finally managed to recapture Kiento's attention,

"There's someone outside the window…" Ramen said, Kiento leaned out of the window to try to see what he was talking about.

"And?" the teacher asked,

"She's hovering…" Kiento's red eyes widened with horror as he saw the woman Ramen was referring to; a woman with a manic grin, a dress of fishnets and an octopus on her head. She raised her hands and water mana began to form around them as she began to cast a spell. Suddenly, just as everyone began to scream, she threw her hands forward and a massive amount of water appeared and pushed through the windows in a massive torrent. Kiento was thrown back into the far wall. The floor then gave away under the weight of the water, sucking everyone through like ships in a whirlpool.

Kiento's rollercoaster ride through the water torrent ended with a face-first impact with a stone floor; followed by a body falling onto his back, causing him to cough up a bucket load of water. With an emptied pair of lungs, and an urge to shake his fur dry, Kiento looked up to speak to whoever was sitting on him,

"You know, if you find that comfortable, you should consider getting a fur pillow instead of using my back." He said sarcastically.

(you know who you are... and if you don't just pretend you do :p)

While being thrown from side to side with the rush of the water, Ramen caught a glimpse of the hard, stone ground floor. Groaning quietly inside, he braced for impact, despite knowing it wasn't going to do much help. Suddenly, he heard a loud crash of water, and many coughs and chokes soon after. Ramen looked up, still in a ball, puzzled by his lack of pain and whatnot. Then, he faced downwards, revealing that he was saved a sore landing by Kiento, his rabbit-morph friend.
"You know, if you find that comfortable, you should consider getting a fur pillow instead of using my back." Kiento remarked sarcastically.
"Ehh, sorry dude." Ramen replied embarrised.
He got off the floor, and after coughing up a bit of water, looked around. It wasn't a happy sight. The floor was crowded, not only with students, but with wreckage. some teachers were aiding students to pull others out of piles of benches, desks and menageries of other things.
"Who did this..." Ramen asked himself quietly. That question seemed to be the one on everyone's minds.

Sushi sat at her desk, kicking her legs underneath the table and bumping it up every now and again, irratating the teacher. The legs of the table bumped up and down quite loudly. Sushi fiddled with her fingers and black, lacy fingerless gloves as she sang a rather eerie song in her head.

"Something you want to share with us, Ramen?" their teacher shouted at Sushi's classmate.

"There's someone outside the window ..." Ramen said, as he stared blankly out at the glass, looking slightly mesmerised.

"And?" The teacher sighed, shaking her head thoroughly at the boy.

"She's hovering ..."

Sushi's ears perked up. Hovering~? Oh my, this I should see~ She quickly darted out of her seat and almost climbed upon Ramen's desk, staring out of the window. All of her classmates and the teacher were now staring out of the window; at the woman, clad with seafish gear, who grinned maniacally and raised her hands above her head. Sushi sighed to herself. Best get ready now, yus~? She held out one arm and there appeared a large, lacy karakasa; an umbrella with a large tongue and an eye. Generally such a creature reffered to in Japanese legend, Sushi was fond of the quirkiness, and, really, the general usefulness.

"Oh gods ..." The teacher sighed, putting the palm of her hand to her face.

Before anyone could run, the walls of the classroom had collapsed into each other with the huge force of the water. Muffled cries and yells could be heard from children all around the school, including Sushi's classmates. Luckily enough, Sushi's karakasa had 'swallowed' her, somewhat similair to a not-so-invincible (yet effective enough) forcefield.

"Well. That wasn't the most ... comfiest of rides." Sushi sighed, as she landed promptly on her backside. "Hn. My dress is wet. Oh wellsies~" Sushi stood up and whiped some water off of the front of her gothic lolita-like dress. Her hair was slightly wet, too, and the front 'bangs' were stuck to her forehead, which stood out in her vision. Big, black, wet, shiny things. Like ... snakes' tongues. ... Tongues~! Sushi withdrew her karakasa and stamped on the ground twice, shaking off some excess liquid.

"Right-o," Sushi smiled, taking her hand to her hair and the sushi that was fastened into her hair, keeping the long strands in place. "Oh-hoho-kay. Now ... where are we ... ~?"

Near the front of the class, one of the students was copying down what the teacher was saying in a rather vigorous manner, if only so that he'd be done faster and be able to sleep. He had already had to hit himself in the face twice to keep from nodding off. Tatsoi had stayed up rather late last night to take care of his baby sister, Nori. His parents were out on the town yesterday, and they came home late enough in which Tatsoi ended up waking up on the couch with Nori in his arms. His eyes lidded a little and the long slender tail from behind him smacked him in the head yet again. Tatsoi was a felin, a person with traits of a cat, most noticeably having feline ears and a tail, along with rather sharp claws and a little cat nose with some whiskers. Tatsoi had trimmed his claws though; he preferred helping people and not using brute force. he brushed some of his grass-green hair out of his face and started to catch up with the teacher's words again.

Just as Tat, as he liked to be called, was about to nod off yet again, he vaguely heard the noise of one of his friends, Ramen, and perked up his ears, which twisted in the direction of the noise. Although his head was now resting upon the gracious desk before him, he still kept track of the exchange of words. It seemed like Ramen was about to get in trouble again, and Tat was already preparing a lecture in his head to berate the boy with. They may be friends, but Tat would much prefer if he paid attention!

"Something you want to share with us, Ramen?" Tat sighed. Poor guy was so going to be in for it.

"There's someone outside the window ..." That was unexpected. Tat heaved himself off the desk and looked towards the window. He could spy a figure slowly increasing in size. Knowing it was no good, Tatsoi closed his mind off from any other words and prepared for whatever this thing might do. Upon closer inspection, she seemed to be gathering massive amounts of water mana, causing her dress of fishnet and aquatic beings to sway with the energy. Tat knew one thing all felins knew. He didn't like water.

As soon as the woman released her energy in a form of a massive gush of water, Tat's own greener energy flowed from his hands under his feet, allowing for a lilypad to spawn beneath him. He was about to find his friends but everyone was already pulled in by the massive undertow. He could hear the cries of the others and the creaking of the school, until it all collapsed, and with him at the top of all of it. Tatsoi was sprayed by the liquid as he plummeted below, following the flood and the others beneath.

Tat's legs took a beating as he suddenly landed upon the stone cold floor. He assumed it was the basement of the school, although he had never been down there himself. Relatively unscathed, Tat zipped up his dark green vest over the gray long sleeved shirt he wore, and then decided to remove his shoes, which were filled with uncomfortable amounts of water. After that, he rolled down his khaki pants a bit and noted his friends had found their way down here as well.

"Well, Sushi, as far as I can guess, we should be in the basement area of the school, unless we were saved by some passersby or a fancy force and whatnot. I would love to know who that mysterious water woman was, but I do believe we should really find a way out," He had said as his piercing yellow eyes gazed at the dark area around him. He could see through it fine enough, but he wasn't so sure of his non-feline friends.

In the middle of a giant horizontal stone arena, engraved with remarkable drawings, a young girl was meditating. Her hair was a shiny blonde, the ends draped over her shoulders. She was dressed in lightweight armor plates that shone white like ivory over her emerald clothing, strapped together with leather bands. Strapped to her belt was a dao scabbard in the same colour as her armor. But her most remarkable feature was definitely a silver collar around her neck, shaped like a V in the front with a peculiar stone set into it; it was round and smooth but transparent like glass. In the middle of the gem, a radiant light shone like a miniature sun captured in stone.

Kazuki heard footsteps and jumped up, turning around. Around her were several older teenagers, most of them around seventeen. It wasn’t a real gang, but close enough.

‘Hey, looky.’ One of them said; A skinny but tall guy with torn baggy jeans and no shirt, just a cross on his chest formed by two leather straps. The straps weren’t decoration; Over his shoulders, Kazuki saw two handles. Most likely two swords, although she couldn’t see which kind. His hair was a sandy brown and messy. ‘We come to the arena for a some battles between friends, and we find a little girl! Have you lost your mommy?’

Kazuki gritted her teeth as the other boys laughed. She decided to try a diplomatic approach instead of letting her anger take control of her. ‘I was meditating, actually, but if you want the place for yourself, it’s all yours. If you’d let me pass now?’ She said as friendly as possible. The guys just kept laughing. So much for diplomacy.

‘You know what, kid, let’s make this interesting. We battle. You win, you leave freely and go mind your own business.’ The sandy-haired guy said. ‘And if you win?’ Kazuki asked. ‘Then you still get to leave, but not before giving us money for cigarettes.’ The guy answered. Kazuki rolled her eyes and removed her dao’s from their scabbard. The scabbard was specially designed to hold the two thin blades. Thin, maybe, but still deadly.

The other guys settled down on the stone seats that formed a semi-circle around the stone plateau, cheering at their mate. ‘Sword to troath, kid. I don’t wanna risk killing you, because the cops hate me already.’ The skinny guy said. ‘Or maybe you’re just chicken.’ Kazuki retorted. ‘Battle commence.’ The guy reacted and drew his swords- Flambards. Quite unusual blades for any warrior. Guessing by the tension she saw on her opponent’s wrists, they were quite heavy. This meant less speed and agility, but more force.

They started circling around each other. The grin had disappeared from the guy’s face, he was looking much more serious now. Kazuki had the advantage of speed and agility with her sharp dao’s, but the flambards had a longer range and more force. Then again, this was sword to throat, so it was all about being fast. The skinny probably saw this too, so he would go defensive until he saw his chance.
Trying to use the element of surprise, she dashed forward with her swords raised…

Kazuki was awakened from her dream by a splash of cold water. She looked up to yell at the guys who thought they were funny- But instead, she saw a giant wave of water coming right at the class. In a flash, she saw a woman floating in the air dressed in fishnets and an octopus. This had to be a nightmare in which she had a dream.

The wave tore everything apart, even the floor- Kazuki fell down, on the hard stone floor. What the hell had this been! Once she regained her feet, she looked around most of the others looked alright, but this was one unusual day. She heard her classmate Sushi asking where they were. ‘I’m more interested in what the hell was up with that Water mage! Who does something like that?’ She almost yelled, getting really pumped now. ‘She was dressed in fishnets and wore an octopuss! Did she escape from a clinic or something! KYA!’ Two beams of pure light shot out from her palms at that last word, scorching some wood. She usually did that when she wanted to vent her anger.

Ramen stretched his arms, before turning to where the rest of his friends were. Sushi, gracefully wriggling out of her slightly intimidating umberella thing.
‘I’m more interested in what the hell was up with that Water mage! Who does something like that?’ Ramen heard, undoubtedly blaring from Kazuki ‘She was dressed in fishnets and wore an octopuss! Did she escape from a clinic or something! KYA!’ She continued, firing two beams of light at an unfortunate peice of wood.
"Kazuki, you'll waste your mana." Ramen interrupted. Ramen tapped the stone floor two times, then lifted his head.
"Yep, we're in the basement..." He said. "Buuut...there's a teeny little tunnel below filled with loads of wires."
"Was it her?" Ramen heard from behind him. The whispering came from the principal, talking to Ramen's teacher.
"Yes. It was Cerise..." His teacher responded dourly. Curious, Ramen edged over towards the conversation.
Quietly, Ramen whispered to his friends. "Come here, this sounds like it could answer a few questions."

"Owwwww..." Onigiri muttered, having fallen on stone without protection. Plus he was drenched in water mana. Onigiri jumped to his feet, and let out a massive sneeze that echoed around the basement. As he sneezed his hair caught fire. "Perfect, that wanted to come out for a long time, and now we have a light source." It was true, the entire basement was bathed in light and everyone could see everyone.
"Come here, it sounds like it could answer a few questions." This came from Ramen, and all of his friends came over to listen to what their teacher and their principal were saying.

OoC: S-P-I-S.

'Kazuki, you'll waste your mana.' Ramen said. Kazuki lowered her palms. Ramen was right. If she wanted to vent her anger, she should have kicked something. The beams of light had at least been a momentarily source of light, but that job was taken over by Onigiri the fire mage. He sneezed very loudly and his hair caught fire. As a fire mage, it didn't bother him.

Ramen softly called out to the others, saying that the converstation between their teacher and the principal might answer some questions. Kazuki scooted over, listening to the soft voices.

With Ramen off his back, Kiento was able to prop himself against a wall and see where he was. It was apparently one of the basement rooms, a training room perhaps. It would probably be what the drains around the room were for; cleaning up after water spells. Thankfully, that is where all the water was draining to now. A hole that led up to the classroom brought some light into the room, not enough to see anything properly. Like everyone else, one question took root in Kiento's mind; who was that woman? It was not every day that someone floated up to the school and washed it do-

"KYA!" a voice suddenly shouted, Kiento's eyes widened with horror as a blast of light flew past his shoulder and scorched some of the wood wall behind him.

"Kazuki! Watch where you're aiming those things, you could poke somebody's eye out with that!" Kiento shouted. Kazuki just ignored him, a response he has been getting quite a bit of from her recently.

"Was it her?" a voice that could only belong to the principal whispered, well at least doing a miserable job at it. But then again, having ears bigger than your head pays off every now and then.

"Yes. It was Cerise." The teacher replied, in a similarly hushed tone. Ramen whispered for everyone to follow him in an eavesdropping session, Kiento just shook his head and fiddled with his ears slightly, to signal that he could hear loud and clear from here. Welcome back to class, our topic of discussion today is lunatic school-smashing water mages.

"Well, what should we do. We need to keep the school running." The principal whispered angrily to Ramen's teacher.
"Listen, half of us go Grimoire hunting, the other half stay here." The teacher replied hushedly. The Principal nodded, and the two walked away in opposite directions.
"What's a Grimoire? Aren't they a type of books?" Ramen adressed his friends confusedly.

Tat quickly raised a paw to cover his eyes from the blinding light emitted by his headstrong friend Kazuki, although the light pierced his eyes regardless, and he was momentarily left blinking to readjust to the now dim lighting left from her burst of energy. The lights changed up again once Onigiri decided to alight his hair with flames, although this light wasn't as blinding. Regardless, Tat kept a safe distance. What if his tail caught on fire? At once, Tat picked up a voice with his ears. It was Ramen, who was beckoning them over to a siding, where the staff could be heard. He crouched on all fours and slinked over to his friend, changing to a kneeling position once he reached him. At this point, Tat took attention to the hurried whispers of the teachers.

"Well, what should we do. We need to keep the school running." Poor Ms. Peach was angrily berated by the Principal of the establishment, whose name Tatsoi always forgot.

"Listen, half of us go Grimoire hunting, the other half stay here." She replied quickly, likely hoping he would get off her back. It did the trick as they nodded and split up from each other. Tat then turned to Ramen, who had inquired about the Grimoires. Tat had recalled reading something about them before, and decided to voice his knowledge.

"I remember reading something about Grimoires in the back end of the library, with all the big books. It had a nice cover too. Anyway, from what I recall, the Grimoires were a dangerous group of guys and gals who tried to reach some sort of higher status or ranking or something by obtaining, uh, something that lets you go to some planet or the other, I forget." Tat took a moment to go through his own memory to see if he could remember some more.

"The book was really big, so I decided to skim read the rest, but long story short, they were ironically shut up inside seven sealed grimoires, one for each. I guess someone or something decided to throw caution to the wind and unseal them. I'd guess they're still after what they were trying to find back then, but I think they may have lost some power. I read a huge description of their awesome might, razing whole areas down to the ground. One school is no city, so I guess they aren't as strong as they were." He took a breath, and paused for a moment, as if trying to think of something. He then released a breath, and continued. "I'm trying to remember the names...gah! I can pretty much only remember there was like, one person per element. So I assume we just ran into the water woman. Ramen, or any of y'all really, did you by chance, catch her name somehow? I just missed it." He finished, ending what he could explain, and gave some room for his friends to talk.

"Cerise." Onigiri snapped, voice filling with hate. "Mistress Cerise Blue. Slayer of the Ogeuf tribe. She is a water mage of great power, and is the killer of my parents. She has a deep hate towards the Ogeuf for just being fire mages. She single handedly wiped out the Ogeuf. Well, all but one." Onigiri pulled his ears out sideways to show they were pointed, like an elf's. "Must've wanted to finish off what she was doing before. But how did she know I was here?" Onigiri shook his head, then waited for anyone else to provide more information.

OoC: Short post is short.

'Oh, so thanks to you we almost got killed?' Kazuki said to the flame-haired Onigiri, quite hatily. Most of her classmates gave her a dirty look. 'Ok, that was a bit mean. I'm sorry, Oni.' She said softly and mumbled 'Damn, I need to go back to therapy.'

'Anyway, Tat, what you said doesn't sound very good. If one of those grimoire people escaped, what if the others have too. We've seen what one of them can do, all of them couldn't be stopped by a seven nation army.'

'

(OOC: White stripes teehee :3)

bic: "Well," Ramen said "She looked pretty murderous. If the Grimoires really wanted to finish the school off, they would have sent more than one of themselves. So that means Cerise is probably the only one released. If not one, two." He finished.
"Must've wanted to finish off what she was doing before. But how did she know I was here?" Onigiri said.
"I don't think she was aiming for you. Ms.Peach sounded like she knew about the Grimoires. From the rest of the conversation, it seems some more staff know. They'd be her main target."Ramen replied.

Sushi listened intently onto what her teachers were speaking about. Grimiores? I might have heard about them before. she thought to herself.

"I'm trying to remember the names...gah! I can pretty much only remember there was like, one person per element. So I assume we just ran into the water woman. Ramen, or any of y'all really, did you by chance, catch her name somehow? I just missed it." Tat finished quickly, gasping for breath.

"U-um-" Sushi attempted to respond, but was cut short by one of her friends.

"Cerise." Onigiri snapped, sounding angry. But how did she know I was here?" Oni shook his head, agitated.

"But Oni-kun, I-" Sushi put out a hand, only to drop it again as another one of her friends spoke.

"Oh, so thanks to you we almost got killed? Ok, that was a bit mean. I'm sorry, Oni.' Kazuki said, then mumbled, 'Damn, I need to go back to therapy." Lifting her head up again, she let out a sharp breath. "Anyway, Tat, what you said doesn't sound very good. If one of those grimoire people escaped, what if the others have too. We've seen what one of them can do, all of them couldn't be stopped by a seven nation army."

"Hm, I think tha-" Sushi attempted to join in for a second time, again interrupted.

"I don't think she was aiming for you." Ramen said to Onigiri. "Ms.Peach sounded like she knew about the Grimoires. From the rest of the conversation, it seems some more staff know. They'd be her main target."

Sushi waited a while before answering, to make sure that she wasn't going to be interrupted again. A few silent seconds passed before she inhaled sharply and begun to speak.

"Well, Oni-kun, I'm not completely sure that it was the Grimoire who attacked you." Sushi said. "It may have been some ... crazed followers, worshippers, maybes~? After all, from the little I've heard about them, the Grimoires were locked up thousands of years ago. They've only escaped now, right~?"

Ramen spoke again. "Well," he said "She looked pretty murderous. If the Grimoires really wanted to finish the school off, they would have sent more than one of themselves. So that means Cerise is probably the only one released. If not one, two." He finished.

"If there are several," Sushi remarked. "As suggested, then shouldn't we be fleeing the school~? Maybe Cerise sent off a signal to tell the other Grimoires were we are." Sushi stamped the small heel of her boot on the ground and summoned her Karakasi, which she held above her in a mannerly fashion. "Well ..."

"I suppose yeah. But Tat, you were saying that their powers must have become more weak thanks to years n' years of imprisonment, maybe they could be finished off." Ramen proposed, a giddy smirk creeping across his face. Recieving doubtful looks from some of his friends, Ramen continued.
"And maybe if we don't, they'll come back for seconds."

After the teachers stopped talking, Kiento stood back up and approached his friends so he could take more part in the discussion.

"I remember reading something about Grimoires in the back end of the library, with all the big books. It had a nice cover too. Anyway, from what I recall, the Grimoires were a dangerous group of guys and gals who tried to reach some sort of higher status or ranking or something by obtaining, uh, something that lets you go to some planet or the other, I forget the book was really big, so I decided to skim read the rest, but long story short, they were ironically shut up inside seven sealed grimoires, one for each. I guess someone or something decided- blahblahblahblah…"

By that point, Kiento's eyes had glazed over completely and he was about to fall asleep. For being part cat, Tat really had a way to talk nonstop until ears started falling off. No joking that he would fit perfectly as a teacher.

"Did you by chance, catch her name somehow? I just missed it." Tat finally finished, the change into a question managed to bring Kiento alive, and he was able to act as if he actually paid any attention.

"The-They said it wa-as Ceresar" Kiento stammered, his sudden attempt to talk while still half-asleep sounded just like a dozing student would speak when a teacher suddenly asked him a question.

"Cerise." Onigiri replied,

"Oh thanks." Kiento thanked him for the correction, but the look on Onigiri's face said he had more to say.

"Mistress Cerise Blue. Slayer of the Ogeuf tribe. She is a water mage of great power, and is the killer of my parents. She has a deep hate towards the Ogeuf for just being fire mages. She single handedly wiped out the Ogeuf. Well, all but one." Onigiri explained, and then pulled back his hair to show the pointed elf ear underneath. Kiento was about to say something, but someone managed to get even more hotheaded than he was given credit for.

"Oh, so thanks to you, we almost got killed?!" Kazuki said with fierce anger in her voice, but almost instantly collapsed when everyone stared her down. That was one of the things that puzzled Kiento about her; she had almost flip personalities that could change in the blink of an eye. Ramen then explained why he believed Onigiri was not the target of the attack, but was more likely to be the teachers. Kiento made sure to keep note of Onigiri's supposed history, tying him to a flag pole and waving it around wouldn't be such a bad idea should the need arise. Finally, Sushi and Ramen moved on the subject Kiento was waiting for; getting out of the basement and going after Cerise.

"I say, we go and give her back her present; a sound thrashing!" Kiento grinned; tightening his fist in what was more excitement than anger. "She may be able to smash a school, but that was just a coward's trick, I bet we could get her if we all gang up on her at once." Kiento explained, and then hopped over to the hole in the wall that would be their exit. "I don't know where that creepy woman is now, but it definitely isn't here. If we stick around any longer, we'll never catch up; the chance is slipping by the second! So let's grab it while its still there"

"If we stick around any longer," Kiento declared triumphantly, now standing beside their easiest possible exit. "We'll never catch up; the chance is slipping by the second! So let's grab it while it's still there."

Sushi's eyes widened and her mouth fell slightly-open. Now clutching her gothic umbrella-esque companion with two hands, she stared up at Kiento.

He's so ... brave! she thought to herself. How can he be so confident at a time like this? I may perhaps be willing to put up a fight, but ...

Without really thinking, Sushi raised her right hand in salute. "I-I agree with K-Kiento-kun!" she stammered, eyes now tightly shut - she felt as if she might burst into tears at any given moment. "I-I believe we ... we should continue on, fight on, m-make sure we she has a g-good old banter with our fists~! I don't know what the rest of you may possibly be pondering, b-but ..."

Sushi turned around, back facing Kiento, now looking at the rest of her classmates. She held up her karakusa and smiled slightly, feeling less tense.

"I- ... I don't want t-to wait here and cower in fear, as much as I am well and truly terrified~!" She said, gaining a td more confidence. "I say ... um ... I s-say we should continue on~! F-for our school~!"

Ramen explained her theory of why most likely only one or two Grimoires had escaped. Kazuki felt slightly better, but she didn't understand what a couple of teachers could do to piss of a powerfull mage.

Sushi, the friendly girl with the slightly creepy umbrella, remarked that they should actually be fleeing the school. Ramen reacted that maybe if their powers had been weakened by so many years of imprisonment, and that they could be taken down. Kazuki wasn't so sure- The water woman had destroyed a school building with a tsunami. If that was less power then normal...

Kiento started a speech on giving a pay-back to Cerise, and Sushi agreed, lifting her right hand. Ignoring the excited murmers that went trough the rest of the people, Kazuki crossed her arms and cleared her troath, making the people fall silent. Kazuki had a flair of everyone listening to her when she wanted it, mainly because they would get evil stares or be ignored if they didn't.

'I'm not saying I'm scared or anything-' She shot glances around that basically said 'Any remark means death'. 'But we've just seen Cerise's might. Sure, we might defeat her with thirty people or something, but not without losing a couple of lives, which we don't want to happen.' She said.

'I think the best thing we can do now is run and let the police take care of it. They are much more experienced in fighting evil people.'

After having said his fill, Tat backed off to let his friends talk it out, although he decided to pipe up again the second Kazuki mentioned the police.

"Er, yeah, no. I'm pretty sure the police won't do anything, or even notice. It's like, a general rule or something!" Tatsoi paused, and eyed the escape hole Kiento was bouncing around. He narrowed his eyes, racking his head for an idea, and going through the whispered conversation Miss Peach had. Coming up with his own opinion, his ears perked up as the Felin continued. "I think we should go after them ourselves! ...It's not logically sound, yes," He muttered to himself, then moved on, "But maybe we could, er, find a ship so we can go after them! Or something like that, I guess. It sorta sounded like Miss Peach and the principal had one, so maybe if we track them," He jumped up, "It would be possible!" Tat didn't normally get this worked up, but the prospect of going somewhere new was almost too much for him. If one looked closely, they would swear his eyes were sparkling with excitement.

"So, so? How about it?" Unable to control himself, he started pulling on Sushi's arm, as if to try to get her up to do it. "Pleeeeeeeeeease?" He begged. Tat didn't often flip his personality like someone like Kazuki does, but he usually does it with sound reasoning. Or, atleast as sound as he thinks it is.

Onigiri had silently fumed to his self, although it was noticeable the way his hair was smoking. When Kazuki mentioned leaving it to the police, his hair's flame blazed so fiercely, sparks kept shooting out and sizzling in the remnants of the water spell. He jumped to his feet when Tatsoi said to follow them. "I agree with Tatsoi, we should go after he-them." He said to the group, quickly correcting himself. "The Grimoires just destroyed our school, and you want to leave it to the police? No, we should follow them, and see what they were up to. Tat, didn't you say that they were sealed away in Grimoires? Well then THAT'S why she attacked the school. One of the Grimoires must've been under the care of Mr. Kal!" Onigiri told everyone else. By now, the teachers had noticed the little class conversation, and had come over. No-one had noticed them, until Mr. Kal cleared his throat to speak.

OoC: Short post. Mr. Kal is Mr. Kalamari.

As soon as Tat had finished speaking about teachers and ships, Sushi felt something tugging at her arm.

"Pleeeeeeaaaaase?" Tat pleaded to Sushi as he pulled at her frilly fingerless-gloved arm.

Sushi turned to Tat and let out a sound somewhat like a mixture between a cry of fear and a cry of joy. "Kyaaaaaaaaaaa~!" she called out, clasping Tat's tugging hand inside both of Sushi's hands. She smiled joyously at him and said, at half of the volume as before, "I would love to go~! It would be like ... an adventure~! With all of our classmates together, f-figthting crime!"

She let go of Tat's hand, fearing she would be grabbing too tight. Instead, she giggled at the rest of her class who were still to speak.

"I agree with Tatsoi, we should go after he- them," Onigiri said, quickly correcting his last word. He agreed that they shouldn't leave it to the police; after all, they, the mages, destroyed their school, it would be the ultimate payback. "One of the Grimoires must have been under the care of Mr Kal!"

Kalamari-sensei ... Sushi thought to hersef. He was targetted by Cerise? Wh-what did he do to deserve such devistation~!? - she almost said the last sentence aloud.

"Ehem," Mr Kalamari cleared his throat. Sushi jumped slightly, startled; she didn't notice the teachers gathered around her and her friends. She quickly attempted to look innocent; she didn't want one of her teachers to know that they were plotting to go out and destroy extremely experienced mages by themselves - besides, she had gotten into enough trouble today.

(OOC: Sushi can have little eccentric outbursts/cries of joy when things happen. She can also become very fierce at points, but not as fast as Kazuki, and that's a completely different matter. xP)

"Ehem," Mr Kalamari cleared his throat.
While Sushi gave a frightened leap into the air, Ramen began blushing uncontrollably and looking away, as if it would get him out of the situation.
"Please let Kazuki have an outburst and blind them for a minute, puh-lease." Ramen thought to himself.
"Children," Mr.Kal began "We got the general gist of the conversation, and..."
"Here it comes" Ramen thought.
"Well, if you want to you can." He said.
"What?" Ramen shouted."I mean, not that I'm not pleased or anything."

(OOC: Finally a new post in one of the Rp's I'm in >_< Thank you, Indie~ And Japanese food references ftw xD)

Kazuki saw how everyone got pumped for an adventure; Tat, Oni, Sushi, and of course Kiento. On top of that, the teachers suddenly materialized near the group and Mr. Kalimari cleared his troath, making several classmates jump.

'Children, we got the general gist of the conversation.' Mr. Kal said. Kazuki almost sighed in relief; Finally an adult to stop the stupid excitement. 'And... Well, if you want to, you can.' Kazuki's relief melted away and she ignored the cheers from others. 'Mr. Kalimari.' Kazuki said sharply. 'You're really going to leave the fate of possibly this solar system to a bunch of kids? You're an adult, for God's sake! Don't you have any kind of common sense...' She stopped, breathing sharply, knowing that it was useless to argue with the others. She tried to resist the urge to kick Kiento's butt and started talking again. 'We can't just chase them, either. Who knows where we will end up on any of the planets? We'll need food, clean water, weapons, armor, a way of transportation...'

(OOC: Don't worry, it's not like she's not joining the adventure or anything, I just felt like someone had to take the role of being critical. And she'll warm up to the others over time, too~)

'We can't just chase them, either. Who knows where we will end up on any of the planets? We'll need food, clean water, weapons, armor, a way of transportation...' Kazuki groaned, until Mr.Kalamari interrupted.
"Kazuki, don't tell anyone please, but the school has a private rocket hidden away." He said calmly.
Ramen's ears picked up at rocket."Really?" Ramen squeaked, like a child that had found out they were getting a puppy-new bike-videogame system bundle. Back on Erd, the picked up economy meant more rockets landing on the planet, and more rockets for himself and his father to fiddle with.
"Im going anyway. And Kazuki, once we get to Erd, the other planets are within a days ride from each other."

(a wild post appeared)

Kiento couldn't help but smile as support for his cause flooded through his classmates, even with the negative comments Kazuki has been throwing. Kiento was about to say some words of encouragement when someone made a fake cough to get attention, Kiento froze and realized that they became loud enough for the Principal to hear exactly what they were saying. Kiento's heart sank as he expected to get the entire idea of going after Cerise scuttled. What happened instead was far more surprising;

"If you want to, you can." Mr. Kal said. Kiento could barely believe his ears for once. Quite quickly, the surprise of the moment faded and Kiento's mind was replaced with the same adrenaline and excitement as before. Nobody should have been able to dampen his spirits so easily. But then again, Kazuki isn't just somebody.

"You're really going to leave the fate of possibly this solar system to a bunch of kids? You're an adult, for God's sake! Don't you have any kind of common sense...? We can't just chase them, either. Who knows where we will end up on any of the planets? We'll need food, clean water, weapons, armor, a way of transportation..." She snapped. Kiento couldn't tell what was more surprising; that Kazuki was shouting at a teacher like he was some sort of child, or the way Mr. Kal was completely calm as she raved. In the brief pause between sentences, Kiento saw Kazuki glare directly at him for a brief second, with murder in her eyes, the kind of look that said 'I'm going to hurt you so bad', Kiento was almost about to do the same.

"Don't tell anyone please, but the school has a private rocket hidden away." Mr. Kal explained. Kiento lost all thought of fighting Kazuki. A free trip into space sounded far cooler. What’s more, he knew where it was hidden.

So that’s what you’ve been hiding!” Kiento proclaimed. Kiento was referring to a door in the academy that was rumored to have never been opened, with dust collecting all over it. People have tried to open the door on many occasions, with picking or breaking it with magical spells, but it was a magically enchanted door that couldn’t be opened no matter how much magic or lock-picks were thrown at it. Many thus agreed that the door required a special key to dispel the enchantment. Naturally, one person in the school was suspected to hold the fabled solution.

“You have the key right Mr. Kal? I know exactly where to look!”

(Now you try guessing where it is... :3)

(OOC: Sorry for not posting! Stupid virus is stupid >:0

BIC:
“You have the key right Mr. Kal? I know exactly where to look!” Kiento chirped."
" Indeed I do. Follow me." Mr.Kalamari said, a note of excitement creeping into his voice.
Ramen shoved himself into the crowd of his friends that was tailing Mr.Kalamari with wide, slightly nervous eyes. Disregarding the sulking Kazuki, who had cast her eyes to the ceiling. The stairs creaked tiredly as everyone stressed the sodden wooden boards. The path was winding its way throughout the battered school nicely, when it suddenly stopped at the dark closet room. Everyone walked in quietly.
"Now then," Mr.Kal boomed "Let's get cracking."

"Now then, let's get cracking." Mr. Kal boomed, and some internal lights went on. In the centre of the room, was a tall blue spaceship. It was adorned with gold swirls, and close to the nosecone was an orange ball, with for black diamond shapes in the middle. It had three wings, each with a curved edge, and a swirl of gold on the inside. At the front was a large tombstone like shape, with four lines of the gold at the side. Above it was a large blue jewel. Below the shape was step, indicating that it was a door. "This is the ship you will be flying in. You will need to get around the planets using this. I hope you find it useful. It has everything you need. So with that, I leave you." Onigiri turned around along with the rest of his classmates to see Mr. Kal walking out of the closet room.
"Keep safe children." Said Mrs. Peach. And with that, the kids were left alone in the room with the spaceship. Onigiri was the first to recover.
"Bags driving!" He said cheerfully as he ran towards the ship.

OoC: Surviiiiiiiiiive! D=

Mr. Kal led them into the forbidden room, which was dark at first. But soon enough, the lights went on, revealing a huge spacecraft. It was an amazing sight; The blue, metallic hull with swirls of sparky gold on it, three curved wings. An orange ball sat near the top, with four black figures.

Mr. Kal explained that the ship would bring them to the other planets, and that it had everything they needed. Mrs. Peach wished them a safe journey, before the adults left the room, leaving the children standing there in awe.

Oni was the first one to say something, running towards the spaceship shouting that he would be the driver.

Lightning struck the ground in front of the fire mage.

Kazuki sniffed in a snobbish manner, before turning to the rest. 'If we really are going to try to save the solar system, we'll need to have some order of sorts first. We should take upon the job that we are good at, so just so you know, I'll be the head of Tactics and Weaponry.' She stated, and stepped towards the spaceship herself.

(OOC: When Kazuki attacks you, she's not meaning you harm or trying to pick a fight. She might just have a minor dislike to you. She's going to be a loooot of fun, believe me~)

As Onigiri was about to reach the spaceship, a bolt of lightning struck the ground in front of him. He turned to see Kazuki sniff in a snobbish manner, and turn to the rest, "If we really are going to try to save the solar system, we'll need to have some order of sorts first. We should take upon the job that we are good at, so just so you know, I'll be the head of Tactics and Weaponry." Onigiri looked at Kazuki and shook his head.
"Yes, and last time I checked none of you knows how to drive one of these." Onigiri motioned towards the ship, "Also, I know more about fixing it then any of you. My parents were spaceship engineers and mechanics, as well as fire mages. They taught me how to drive spaceships. And fix them. So if I had to have a job, it would be Pilot and Mechanic. Now that that's sorted, I'll do the preliminary checks. Any of you want to get on board do it, cause as soon as I've finished we're blasting off after Cerise." Onigiri the ran for the ship, but at the last moment slid under the engines at the bottom.

OoC: Still driving Dark. And we need at least a chef, a navigator, and a co-pilot, for in flight repairs.

Mr. Kal escorted the group towards the storage room, where many have suspected the secret rocket was located, through a school that was quiet, empty, soaked, and wrecked, the floorboards threatened to give away beneath their feet with every step taken. Yet nothing happened to them. Somehow, the storage room managed to avoid the gushing waves brought on by Cerise, and was as clean and tidy as ever. Mr. Kal continued to activate a hidden switch and open a hidden corridor, which led to the rumored forbidden room. Mr. Kal turned off the lights and the entire room lit up, revealing its huge secret. A huge conical structure with a blue hull with swirls of gold around it, three curved wings that kept the bottom of the rocket off the ground, and a nosecone that was separated from the rest of the rocket by an orange orb with four black diamonds carved on it. This was without a doubt the fabled rocket that the entire school believed was a mere rumor.

“This is the ship you will be flying in. You will need to get around the planets using this. I hope you find it useful. It has everything you need. So with that, I leave you.” Mr. Kal said, walking towards the door from which they came.

“Keep safe children.” Said Ms. Peach before following the principal. It took Kiento five seconds to realize that they left the kids in the room with the rocket, without instructions even. That was perhaps the only time that someone like Onigiri managed to recover before Kiento.

“Bags on driving!” Onigiri shouted, running towards the spacecraft.

“It’s first come first serve! And you know full well who’s going to get there firs-“ Kiento shouted back, but was cut off when lighting shot up and blocked Onigiri’s path.

“If we really are going to try to save the solar system, we'll need to have some order of sorts first. We should take upon the job that we are good at. So just so you know, I'll be the head of Tactics and Weaponry.” Kazuki stated, in such a snobbish way that it was almost inhumane. Kiento was almost ready to bowl her over right there. The only thing holding him back was the knowledge that the sun put her in control of her power, Kiento didn’t have fond memories of when he and Kazuki got into an argument at a midday class one time, and to think it started when he dropped a pen…

“Well, doesn’t hurt to explore first.” Kiento suggested, kicking his legs into action as he dashed towards the ship and through the jeweled door. The inside of the ship was quite picky about room. A single ladder that went through four floors and leads up to the cockpit. The first two floors were dedicated to a crammed toilet and a kitchen, while the other two had beds, four on each floor. Each bed had a foldable section, which allowed it to take on the form of a chair pointing towards the nose. Hopefully they had seatbelts somewhere. The final floor, being the cockpit, was a vertically placed room with a large red chair facing a window and a large panel absolutely covered in switches, buttons and other devices. As strange as the design looked, it made sense once the rocket was off the ground. Right in the middle of the control panel was a large red handle, a small label underneath it marked it as “Initiate Launch Sequence”. Kiento’s fingers yearned to grasp the handle and pull, though he couldn’t do that with Onigiri doing who-knows-what in the engines.

Ramen hopped childishly into the ship. A mural of buttons, levers and flashing lights surrounded everyone. Dreamily smiling as he stumbled around the ship, Ramen followed Kiento into the cockpit. The rest of the ship impressed Ramen. The cockpit blew his mind. Elaborate forests of wires, clusters of buttons, galaxies of flashing lights and monitors. The cockpit was rather small, but for those first few moments, Ramen felt like it was a universe. Regaining some kind of presence. Ramen drew his attention to what Kiento was admiring. A scarlet red lever protruding from the main board. The text below was Ramen's source of joy. "Initiate launch sequence".

It turned out Kazuki had heavily overrated the spaceship. The globes on top of the cockpit, which she had first recognized as some sort of laser discharge modules, weren't weapons at all. Basically, the ship had no weapons at all; Not even the tiniest little laser. This made her self-appointed job as Head of Tactics and Weaponry completely useless.

After checking out the cockpit, where the Gunner's seat would normally be but the only seat belonged to the pilot, a job Kiento had seemingly taken upon hisself. Kazuki ignored him, but secretly, Kiento would probably be a good pilot. Neither of them had any experience with controlling spaceships, though.

The thing that really bugged her; How were they going to defend themselves in space, or even out there on the other planets? The other were maybe naive enough to think that space was a safe little haven, and that all of the magical planets were inhabited by jolly fella's who would never hurt as much as a fly, but Kazuki knew they were going to face danger. And a lot of it, too, especially if they were going to defeat all of those Grimoire people, the powerful Mages.

Kazuki decided to grab a bed, and chose a random one at the second floor, claiming the floor for the girls and having the boys sleep at the floor closer to the cockpit. Pulling of her vest and leaving it behind to claim the bed, that she now noticed could transform into a chair facing the upper side of the spaceship, she decided to check out the rocket for any storage space where weapons might lay hidden. Quite a desperate move, but it frustrated her that they had no means of protection.

After a while, the only place she hadn't searched were the cupboards of the small kitchen the ship had. The cupboards were stacked with packets of different kinds of food; Noodles, sushi, just to name two.

Kazuki sighed and slouched against the wall, hoping that the space pirates in the solar system were deadly afraid of ramen noodles.

Sushi was, for once, quite slow to react.

As the teachers walked away and left the children with the rocket, she was just silently thinking of the possibilities for them. There was so much they could do without any adults, and yet so much that could go wrong. Her eyes glittered as she stared up at the tall spaceship.

The only thing that made her faze out from her trance and withdraw her Karakasi from leaning on her shoulder and appreciatively licking her leg was two of her schoolmates clambering up the way to the spaceship, seemingly arguing over who was going to drive. One sort of pounced on and the other ran after them, but they both got there at relatively the same time - until Kazuki appeared before the door and gave them into a row for being, well, childish. Sushi listened curiously into the words she spoke, and trotted over slowly and silently to watch up at her. She listened to Kazuki's advice on jobs and such, and pondered on what she would do. Eventually all three of her schoolmates clambered inside the spaceship, and Sushi soon followed them.

The interior of the ship amazed Sushi. Her eyes glimmered and sparkled even more as she stared at the shining buttons and levers spreaded out around the central area, which seemed just to be, to her, an exhibit of a button museum. To her Karakasi, however, it was more of a try-before-you-buy sweet shop, as he dragged his tongue over all of the controls and almost initiated a few. Sushi tutted underneath her breath and pulled up her enchanted parasol, holding it up straight as it disappeared with a wisp of purpley black. Having dismissed her Karakasi she felt it easier and more safe to visit the small kitchen - Sushi was one girl who liked her food, cooking it and eating it.

As soon as she opened the small cabin door her eyes drifted to the cupboard in the center that had from it a lovely smell wafting through the room. She quickly pounced over and opened the cupboard, which was full of sushi and noodles, sauces and spices. She gasped in what seemed to be amazement and rested her head on the base of the cupboard, breathing in deeply through her nose. The smell was wonderful; she had always loved the aromas food would give off.

Sushi's eyes flicked open quite suddenly as she heard something against the floor. Was it her? No, she hadn't moved her feet from the tip-toe-ing position they were in now. She yanked her head backwards, and in the very same instance stood back on her heels and shut the cupboard door. To her right her rather solemn classmate stood, leaning against the wall. Sushi's face lit up and she grinned, now blushing.

"S-sorry, I didn't see you there," she laughed sort of nervously. Kazuki, in a way, sort of scared Sushi, so she was always a tad tense when speaking to her. She didn't dislike Kazuki in any way, but she felt she needed to be weary.

(OOC: ololol Sushi's scared of Kazuki :'D But yeeeaaah I might make Sushi the chef. I dunno. If anyone else wants to be the chef then go ahead, I'll find something else to do ♥)

(OOC: I think Sushi would be a good chef. It fits her xD)

Kazuki reconsidered her options. The problem was; there were none. Her own armor and weapons- Yes, she had armor and weapons, even though that was quite unusual for a girl-So they were no use, and ship had no weaponry of any kind.

Suddenly, the door opened and Sushi walked in, without her annoying parasol that liked to lick everything. Kazuki didn't feel like saying anything to Sushi, so she kept silent as she mulled over her thougths.

Sushi opened the cupboard doors and at the sight of so many different kinds of food, a gasp escaped her. She sniffed the scent of the spices-

And suddenly, as Kazuki moved her feet a little, Sushi noticed her, jerked her head towards her and shut the cupboard. Sushi smiled at her, and blushed a little, but Kazuki could tell that she wasn't very comfortable with her presence. She often had that effect on people.

'S-sorry, I didn't see you there.' Sushi said, laughing a bit nervously, but friendly. Kazuki smiled weakly. 'I guess you're going to be the ship's chef? That's a good thing, I guess. You're an awesome partner to have during Cooking lesso-'

Suddenly, she stopped talking, as a new idea had come to her. No ship in existence had no weaponry. What if this ship wasn't really finished? What if this ship was equipped only with the most basic things, meant to be upgraded?

Without saying anything else to Sushi, Kazuki left the kitchen and climbed up the ladder, into the cockpit. There had to be a manual somewhere, a guide. Ignoring Kiento, yet again, she rummaged trough the cockpit until she found what she was looking for; The ship's manual.

She skimmed the chapter index, looking for any 'upgrades' chapters. And luckily, there was one. She had been right and wrong at the same time; Wrong about the ship being doomed, right about it being upgradeable.

She ripped the chapter from the book and put it in her pocket, which narrowly fitted. She would look at it later. She threw the book in Kiento's lap- It was a good idea for the pilot to actually know how his ship worked- And climbed down again, until she reached the rocket's door.

'Hey, Onigiri! Are you coming or what?'

Sounds of welding, clanging and, disturbingly, explosions emanated from the bottom of the ship, as Onigiri worked his magic on the ship, sometimes literally. After a while, Onigiri came out, with oil blotches all over, his hair as messy as ever (not on fire), an engineer's apron on and a wrench clasped in his hand. He looked proudly at the ship, sure it wasn't going to blow up as they lifted off. However, seeing as this was a very old model, he wasn't sure if it would hold up if Kiento crashed into anything. He looked out at the rest of the group, noting that Sushi, Ramen, Kazuki and Kiento were not there, and motioned for them to come inside the ship. They obliged, and he quickly slid under the ship to double-check everything it had.

"Hey! Onigiri, are you coming or what?" Kazuki's voice rang throughout the engine, causing him to jump and hit his head on some of the metal.
After spouting several swear words in Ogeuf, he replied with, "Coming, just finishing up here." He whacked a small engine with his wrench and smiled, before climbing out from under it and into the main ship.

"Kiento, we're ready to fly. Be careful with this, it's a Deebeezeeteneighty, one of the older models. If it so much as nudges an asteroid, we'll find ourselves all over Baklava, or at least the nearest planet. I'm not even sure if it's finished properly. I'll get everyone ready." After seeing a nod from Kiento, he climbed out of the cockpit and started telling everyone to go to the seats and get ready for takeoff. He noticed That Kazuki seemed lost in thought, and Onigiri smiled, knowing Kazuki had realised weapons could be put on the ship.

Once everyone was seated, Onigiri climbed to the top of the ship again, and sat in the co-pilot's seat. "All ready Kiento. Let's get off here and start looking for those Grimoires." He buckled himself in and waited for blast off.

OoC: Sushi should Totally be the chef. Onigiri's now the mechanic, and he uses that wrench as a weapon later on. Let's fly!

The more Kiento looked at all the buttons, the more it began to intimidate him. Each button looked like it could easily be a self-destruct button, one wrong press and every last one of them would be down. If only he had an instruction manual…

Kazuki interrupted his thoughts by tossing a book into Kiento’s lap on her way back out of the cockpit.

“ow.” Kiento responded sarcastically. Then beamed when he saw the title of the book.

“Thanks!” Kiento called, no response. Kiento opened up the book and took a peek at the table of contents, noticing that there wasn’t a chapter marked ‘weapons’, Kazuki probably wasn’t pleased with that. Deciding it was a lost cause, he opened up the book to “launch sequence” and began reading the step-by-step instructions to send the ship skywards, and completely unaware to Ramen’s hovering presence.

"Kiento, we're ready to fly.” Ongiri said as he appeared in the cockpit. “Be careful with this, it's a Deebeezeeteneighty one of the older models.” That almost completely baffled Kiento; it sounded suspiciously like a music genre, “If it so much as nudges an asteroid, we'll find ourselves all over Baklava, or at least the nearest planet. I'm not even sure if it's finished properly. I'll get everyone ready." Kiento only had time to smile and nod before Ongiri disappeared to hustle the rest of them onboard. Kiento quickly finished reading the take-off and flight instructions, then closed the book and put it aside. He would probably have time to read about landing once they were in the air. Ongiri quickly returned to the cockpit and strapped himself in the co-pilot seat next to him. Everyone else should have been strapped in, so it was now time to launch. Taking one last scan over the buttons, Kiento deduced which buttons to press first. He experimented with the first of a small box of buttons that were underneath the launch lever.

“Gigafloppy Neurobrain online…” a voice boomed on a speaker at the corner of the panel, something in the rocket stirred, and some of the monitors around the cockpit flickered to life. Kiento moved on to the next button.

“Real-time actuators activated…” the voice continued to boom, a hiss sound accompanied the rumble of the Neurobrain, like some sort of hydraulic or something. Next button: “Hypercoils warmed… and toasty.” Kiento imagined a coil grill with a roast spit rotating within, for some odd reason. Kiento continued to press the initiation buttons, which he was able to do by just sliding his finger down the first column of this box of buttons, pressing every last one in his path.

“Liquid-fuel Injectors… loaded… Warming turboboosters… Activating solar shields…” and finally, “Launch preparation sequence complete. Now opening bay doors…”

Outside, the entire school began to rumble, remnants of water from the attack that set them off on their quest were shaken and churned like boiling water. Outside, on the clock tower, the center node where the clock hands were connected began to blink, slowly at first, and then rapidly. And then finally, the center node popped out with the hands and slid to the side. The clock tower then split in half and slid apart. Afternoon sunlight flooded the launch chamber, and drizzles of water from inside the clock splashed down, some splashing the rocket itself then disappearing down the grille the rocket was rested upon. Finally, the door of the rocket automatically closed and was sealed.

“All systems are go!” the voice finally finished. The red lever suddenly extended and rotated, obviously indicating that it was previously locked in place to prevent a premature launch. Now they were all ready for blast-off.

“We all set back there!?” Kiento shouted, to make sure everyone was strapped in and ready to blast off.

(I would just go straight on to blast-off, but we haven't heard from Tangrow, where for art thou Efan?)

Tat had essentially tuned out the whole time; much too absorbed in his own fantasies whilst the others argued amongst themselves.

Yes...yes! We're going to leave this place and go on an adventure to everywhere and think of all the history on those planets! It would be exciting and fantastic at the same time! Of course, keeping the others' interest will be quite a task, but I'm sure I can do it! It'll be an adventure in LEARNING! That is, once we do manage to get going...

In the middle of this train of thought, Tat's ears flicked towards the sound of moving footsteps. It was...oh dear, it was the teachers. Tat was about to frown, when at that point, the principal uttered two words that caught his attention. "...you can." Tat started at this, but...if they were letting them, then there was no time to waste! Tat quietly broke away from the group as he trotted back towards the rubble of the school. upon closer inspection, there were quite a few items stuck within. The felin's eyes narrowed, and he pounced upon the pile, scanning over what could be found, for they needed to be prepared.

The one thing that everyone was seeming to overlook was that, to be frank, a bunch of schoolchildren weren't exactly the definition of strong! Sure, Onigiri and Kazuki could certainly hold their own with the power behind their assault, but their recklessness could very well get them killed. Those Grimoires were undoubtedly strong, and maybe, just maybe, he could locate that book again. Tatsoi was acutely aware of the passing time, though; in the group's jubilation, they would be terribly likely to take off without him! And that would simply not do. ...Globes, crushed desks, pencils and chairs...ah!

Tatsoi leapt forward to snatch a battered book out of the pile; although it was not the same one as the one he had read about the Grimoires. He squinted a little; the book was a little worn out, and the fall did not help its condition. After a bit, however, Tat's eyes widened at the discovery. The book's title, as far as he could make it, was entitled A Beginner's Guide to Spellcasting in Battle. He chuckled. The school normally taught combat and the like, but some review could never hurt! Golly who knows how much people like Onigiri or Ramen actually paid attention in class. With this, Tat had informally decided to teach everyone on the ship when they had time. But then again...

The ship! Tat turned around wildly on the spot, catlike eyes now wide open and searching. His friends and principal were nowhere to be found. He sighed. What would he do! The felin took a deep breath; he just had to think logically, where would they keep something as big as a ship in the school? Upon further thought, there was that place Kiento was always harping about...what was it? Yes, that fancy door no one seemed to touch. A likely suspect! Tenderly carrying the book under his arms, he jogged off at a healthy pace to the location. Best not to strain himself.

Luckily for Tatsoi, the school hadn't entirely been destroyed, as he took a flight of steps up to that absolutely dusty door. The keys were still in the lock. Maybe the principal had forgotten them? No...that would be absolutely silly. Maybe he had known Tat would be coming late? Regardless, tat turned the keys with a hand and was pleasantly surprised to hear the satisfying click of unlocking a door. He pocketed the key and continued on; it would be absolutely foolish to leave it there.

Shaking. Everything was shaking. The moment he entered, things were shaking. They were not taking off without him, if he had anything to say about it. He started running as fast as his legs could take him...up the gangplank...and the moment when light started filling the shadows of the glorious machine Tat leaped inside, and not a moment too late; his tail had nearly been caught in the closing door! As he rubbed his head from the tumble, he heard Kiento's voice yelling down as he gripped a chair.

"We all set back there!?" Tat's face slowly turned a shade of green as he pulled himself onto the seat, grabbing what appeared to be a buckle and pulling it over. Amidst his attempts to keep his lunch down, he yelled back one word, loud and clear.

"JERKS!"

(Thanks a lot, Brendan, I've been busy :> I'm sure I messed up the rocket's inside geography somehow, but let's ignore that.)
